Don't let King Phantom get bored or he will do meaningless things

Danny got bored and decided to have a tennis competition, even though he had no idea how to play Tennis and had never held a racket in his life. He thought it would be fun.

He joined Dan because incredibly he knew how to play tennis (he was also quite fed up with Danny's presence, but he didn't have many options since the halfa had promised him his freedom if he won), and his opponents were Jazz and Dani.

In a very short time Danny got tired of losing. Clockwork suggested him to get new players to practice, and he took it seriously. Maybe he would have to look for superheroes to practice with.

He abused his Ghost King powers and transported the Justice League to the Realms to, you guessed it, play tennis. He explained that he and Dan would be their opponents in the final round, and if they didn't win, Dan would be free.

Dan was quick to explain that he was a prisoner of war after destroying a universe, but the King promised his freedom if he won (which wasn't entirely a lie), and wished them luck, commenting that perhaps he would visit their universe next.

Jazz and Dani sighed at their brothers' behavior; Dan would visit to annoy someone, though he surely wouldn't do anything, and Danny didn't even know how to play tennis but somehow made all the heroes panic. It was pretty obvious that they were both playing.

After this interaction John Constantine wondered what the fuck was wrong with the universe. Was the balance of his world really tied to a hyperactive teenager and his weird family?

Not to sip some tea that ain't mine, but color me absolutely shocked that Anonymous Confession blogs stirred up unnecessary drama! It's the most "teenagers in Tumblr fandoms" behavior ever and is a very poor way engage in any sort of media critique (positive or negative).

It does not invite discussion, but rather shitty, unchecked, anonymous people who won't stand on anything publicly but sure would giggle and kick their feet if it caused a fuss.

It's clique-y mean girl dipshit behavior and if it was actually there to celebrate creators in the space, there are a million other ways to do that without leaving the door open for losers.

Count that as the .1 out of 10 times I do get involved with what the fandom is up to, because that shit is the exact kind of behavior that makes me happy I didn't build my shit with any regard to "The Community" in respect to ASMR Roleplay as a space. Because too many folks are cool with entertaining petulant children in their midst for my taste.

hi .. 😨 so super recently i read this rly neat fic and have had brainworms ever since. basically ever since mephone left, the final 4 have been left to their own devices in the contesting grounds which r actually pretty far from the hotel. they sort of just have to fend for themselves. these doodles r sort of between fic fanart and a little bit of a concept for my own take on the idea ?? but yeah :P

Clark Kent's glasses. What is they aren't fake.

As in. He doesn't need a prescription. But what if the glasses are prescription? Have you ever tried looking through prescription glasses that aren't yours? How wonky it is? I'd find it pretty irritating to go around all day in some that were even slightly off.

But I'm thinking about it and . . . this guy is physical perfection, basically. But he's always pretending to be an ordinary, even somewhat klutzy, human. That must be hard to maintain all the time. Having to constantly make sure you aren't TOO perfect? Always trying to find a balance of acting slightly off-kilter, even klutzy, so people would never suspect?

Maybe giving himself bad vision is a simple way to naturally handicap himself. Make him just a little more cautious and unsteady. He's still have to be careful, of course - but Clark is always super (ha) aware of his own strength. Maybe the glasses help make it a little easier, take a little of the pressure off, because they naturally give him a minor, normal weakness he doesn't have to fake?

It's a little thing, wearing wrong-prescription glasses when he could just wear non-prescription frames (and hope nobody every looked through them and questioned why he was faking). But maybe that little bit of distortion of his vision, making himself feel just slightly off-balance but in a way that he can shed when he needs to save the day . . . maybe it helps him feel a little more human.
