Underdog is one of those popular characters who fell into obscurity in recent years. Now that "Underdog" is owned by Universal, I think there should be a CG reboot movie. Unlike the live action Disney film released in 2007, I would want Underdog's CG reboot to be more faithful to the cartoon (even though I never saw it). This film would be released in theaters in 2D, 3D, IMAX (2D and 3D), and 4DX (2D and 3D)
Up above is how I would envision an "Underdog" movie poster. I have a blank one for those who want to try better than what I have done. You can view the older versions of my movie poster concept art on this page.
PRODUCTION COMPANIES
Illumination
DreamWorks Animation
DISTRIBUTOR
Universal Pictures
RATING
Obviously, PG, moving on.
ANIMATION
In terms of the animation, I wasn't sure if the CG should be fluent or stop-motion like, similar to some scenes in "Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish", but I was thinking that the same people who worked on "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" could try animating the characters. It could even be the first time Underdog, Sweet Polly Purebred, and other animal characters have actual fur. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2018)" also showed us how good hair and fur could work on CG characters.
OPENING LOGO VARIANTS
For the Universal Pictures logo, have Underdog fly around the earth as the letters spelling "UNIVERSAL" follow him (Assuming Underdog can breathe in Space).
The Illumination logo would feature the minions jumping off the Illumination logo and trying to fly, only for them to just plummet to the ground.
And for the DreamWorks Animation logo, I was thinking make Underdog 2D animated (with either traditional or flash animation). And after Underdog fishes on the moon, he would jump off the moon and fly through the clouds transitioning from 2D to his 3D design we see in the movie.
The title for the film itself would appear at the beginning and end of the movie. The end credits themselves would be 2D animated.
STORY CONCEPT
What I had in mind was if Dr. Simon Bar Sinister teamed up with Underdog's nemeses and formed a legion too powerful for Underdog to take on by himself. In fact, Underdog himself could get a team of his own consisting of other animal superheroes like him. And after putting Dr. Simon Bar Sinister and his legion behind bars, the movie would end with Underdog starting his new job at a superhero headquarters, which serves as the backdoor pilot for a TV show based on my movie idea.
CLOSING LOGO VARIANTS
After the credits (and post-credits scenes depending on if we'll get any) and the closing Universal and Illumination logos, Underdog would fly back onto the moon of the DreamWorks Animation logo and continue fishing until the screen fades to black.
TELEVISION SERIES BASED ON THE MOVIE
The TV series based on the movie would continue from the ending of the movie, and in addition to seeing more of Underdog in action, some episodes focus on Underdog's new superhero friends. This show, I was thinking would return to its original 2D routes, but this time through flash-animated software like Toon Boom Harmony, or something similar to that.

‘The Circle’: 5 Reasons Why Tom Hanks and Emma Watson’s Movie Bombed
I don’t think I ever posted this article.
Indiewire May 2017: Sometimes, big stars aren't the best casting choices. Here's why the latest film from James Ponsoldt was disliked by critics and audiences alike.
Nobody sets out to make a bad movie. So why did cautionary tech thriller “The Circle” — adapted by lauded writer-director James Ponsoldt (“The Spectacular Now,” “The End of the Tour”) and beloved novelist Dave Eggers from his own 2013 bestseller — earn such negative reviews (43 on Metacritic, 17 on Rotten Tomatoes) and bomb at the box office ($9.3 million in 3,163 theaters)?
The movie went wrong in five significant ways.
1. The movie was foreign financed.
“The Circle” was developed by A-list ex-DreamWorks producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald’s Parkes+MacDonald Image Nation, which raised financing from Imagenation Abu Dhabi FZ and foreign sales company FilmNation on the power of Tom Hanks, who was the first star on board via his Playtone banner.
In order to raise an $18-million budget, globally bankable star Emma Watson was cast in a central leading role that demanded she be in every scene. Veering in tone from satiric comedy to naturalistic drama, “The Circle” follows wide-eyed Mae Holland’s swift rise within a burgeoning Silicon Valley tech company (imagine Facebook and Google combined; the campus resembles Apple’s new headquarters). The film is told from her perspective, and required a far more charismatic actress. We lose sympathy for Mae as the narrative omits vital connective tissue that might explain just how and why she becomes a willing tool of The Circle.
Watson was a key member of the ensembles in the blockbuster Harry Potter series and worldwide musical smash “Beauty and the Beast,” which solidified her global stardom. While she sagged in non-crucial roles in “My Week with Marilyn” and “The Bling Ring,” she was well cast in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” Clearly, Watson can shine with the right director, but “The Circle” required too much of her. With Ponsoldt’s prior actresses Mary Elizabeth Winstead or Shailene Woodley in the role, the movie might have turned out much better — even on a smaller budget.
Hanks does not help matters in an overinflated supporting role as the amiably villainous co-founder of The Circle. He’s too big for the room; his familiar stardom is distracting. And charismatic John Boyega is wasted as a mysterious Circle co-founder. We want more of him every time he comes on screen, but he just fades back into the shadows.
2. “The Circle” is a feathered fish.
The movie is neither the sort of smart and edgy indie that A24 could market, nor a glossily entertaining commercial studio vehicle. It doesn’t appeal directly to younger Watson fans or older Hanks fans. “The Circle” therefore satisfies neither critics nor mainstream audiences. It’s what industry insiders like to call a ‘tweener.
3. EuropaCorp and STX Entertainment partnered on a too-familiar movie.
Luc Besson’s French distribution company EuropaCorp picked up “The Circle” for $8 million and partnered with STX for the North American release. They spent serious marketing dollars chasing after the hard-to-reach 17-to-35 demo, but the movie looked too familiar. Back in 1995, even “The Net” starring Sandra Bullock did a better job of painting a paranoid techno-future where everyone is watched. So did Peter Weir’s “The Truman Show” in 1998 — and most effectively of all, the hit Channel 4 series “Black Mirror.”
As our own Eric Kohn pointed out in his review:
Recent years have seen a proliferation of deep-dive narratives on the information age, from the psychological thriller territory of ‘Mr. Robot’ to the parodic extremes of ‘Silicon Valley. Ponsoldt’s project is stuck in between those two extremes. On the one hand, it’s an Orwellian drama about surveillance society; at the same time, it’s a sincere workplace drama about young adulthood that shoehorns in some techno-babble for the sake of deepening its potential.
4. Dave Eggers is box-office poison.
As a novelist, Eggers has delivered such bestsellers as “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius,” “Zeitoun,” and “A Hologram for the King,” which also was turned into a movie starring Hanks that earned mild reviews and poor box office ($7.7 million domestic). His brand of ironic, self-referential satire works better on the page, where the writer can control the tone.
As a Hollywood screenwriter, Eggers adapted Maurice Sendak’s children’s classic “Where the Wild Things Are” for Spike Jonze, a well-reviewed but expensive ($115 million) 2009 Warner Bros. box office dud ($99 million worldwide). He and his wife Vendela Vida also wrote 2009 family comedy “Away We Go,” directed by Sam Mendes and starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, which also earned mild reviews and piddling box office ($10 million worldwide). Gus Van Sant’s 2012 drama “Promised Land,” starring Krasinski and Matt Damon and based on Eggers’ story, fared no better on Metacritic or at the box office ($9.3 million worldwide).
5. Expectations were high for writer-director James Ponsoldt.
Having delivered well-reviewed indie features his first four times at bat — “Off the Black,”  “Smashed,” “The Spectacular Now” and “The End of the Tour” — Ponsoldt was on a roll. Critics expected more from “The Circle,” and meted out harsh disapproval. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone, for one, awarded the film one star out of four: “‘The Circle’ feels dull, dated and ripped from yesterday’s headlines. It flatlines while you’re watching it.”
Next up: Ponsoldt is writing “Wild City,” an original idea for Disney that could give him an even bigger budget. Let’s hope he regains his once-sure footing.

So, I made a new OC for the film “Rise of the Guardians”, one of my favorite Dreamworks movies growing up (and a severely underrated movie in my opinion). This is Tabitha (Tabby) and she’s the adopted daughter of St. North (Santa Clause). She was born on Christmas Eve and was found by North as a newborn baby while coming back to the Guardians’s headquarters. With no other family to go back too, North decides to raise Tabitha as his own daughter and teaches her all about the legend of the guardians and what their purpose is. He also teaches her how to make toys and come up with concepts for different toys, and a few words in Russian. Of course, during the day, she goes to school like regular kids, but, at the end of the day, she takes one of Bunny’s rabbit holes to get back to the headquarters. - Name: Tabitha Quinn-St. North Nickname(s): Tabby, Little Ankle-Biter (by Bunny), Tabby Cat (by Jack Frost) Age: 10 DOB: December 24th, 2002 Gender: Female Nationality: American Skin Color: Medium Deep Almond Hair Color: Brown Eye Color: Auburn Brown Likes: Sewing, Toy Making, Riding the Sled, Painting, Christmas Time, Skateboarding, Stargazing, her sapphire brooch (it belonged to her birth mother), Drawing new ideas for toys, her family Dislikes: Pitch Black, Bad Grades, Brussel Sprouts, Grapes, Documentaries, Homework, Bullies, Nobody Believing in her Family, Nightmares Personality: Kind, Creative, Generous, Intelligent, Hard-Working, Loyal, Empathetic, Compassionate, Shy Favorite Food(s): Gingerbread Cookies, Candy Canes, Chocolate Eggs, Pot Roast, Fish Sticks, Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Bark Fact(s) -She was born on Christmas Eve and was founded by North as he went back to his headquarters as a newborn baby -North adopts her and raises her as his own -Got glasses when she was six years old -Learned Russian from North -Jack Frost is like a big brother to her -Goes to school like other children but takes one of Bunny’s rabbit holes back to the headquarters -Her sapphire brooch belonged to her birth mother and she keeps it in the overall pocket she sewed -A master at sewing and quilting -She can’t see anything without her glasses, she’s basically blind without them -Tooth Fairy picked out the color scheme for her clothes -Most of her favorite foods are Christmas foods -She sewed the pocket of her overall herself but accidentally made it too big

Whatever happened to chartron? She like completely disappeared and i saw people talking about it recently and all im thinking now is thatvi hope she didnt lose her job for all the klance she drew that would be a shame.
(firstly i thought char used he/him pronouns?? i’m not sure cuz it doesn’t say on their blog but i’m just gonna go w they/them)
anyway....lol nah man they didn’t get fired for drawing klance. in fact i’m pretty sure it’s the opposite, they got hired because of their voltron fan art (i think someone else on the crew said something about how they got hired bc their style was very close to the show’s??).
plus a lot of their klance art was posted in like june-july 2016, and their portfolio says they worked on voltron from aug 2016-june 2017. also their well-known klance forehead-touch art is literally hanging on an inspo board at dreamworks headquarters so like....lol. not sure why they haven’t posted on their voltron blog in so long but idk maybe they’re busy working on other shows/projects now?? but yeah don’t worry they didn’t get fired for drawing klance.

Okay so I was in standby mode waiting for the next batch of Steven Universe episodes. I needed something to secure that itch of childhood fantasy, and think I found it. KIPO And The Age Of The Wonderbeasts. This is a new series on Netflix produced by Dreamworks. I don’t wanna give away too much, but this is a show that black households need right now especially for girls. Imma try my best to not spoil this show whilst convincing you to sit down with the fam and check this out. Please bear with me… The story takes place somewhere in the future, and of course, things aren’t the best if you’re a human. We learn that our character “Kipo” was separated from his father when their colony was attacked by a giant rabbit. Did I lose you already? Still there, cool! Their world has mutated into a land where some of our favorite cuddly creatures are the size of skyscrapers and have grown additional limbs. Some of the creatures talk, and some are lumberjack cats or frog gangs that wear suits fresh from MIB (Men In Black) headquarters. The world-building is truly on a grand scale, and the breathtaking visuals will give every child and adult something to enjoy. There are three main characters; Kipo, the show's namesake, Wolf, and Dave (sounds like they ran out of cool names right?), and all three characters are Black; which is a HUGE plus for me cause when it comes to fantasy and post-apocalyptic stories and shows we tend to not exist or barely exist.  I can’t completely express how refreshing it is to see this level of diversity, especially in animation. Also, the characters reflect different aspects of the adventurous mind. Kipo is curious and wants to know more about this world. Wolf thinks everything wants to kill you, and Dave is just in it for the fun.  It’s nice to see three strangers become some type of family in this coming of age show. The voices acting is top-notch. Kipo is played by Karen Fukuhara. I had some serious doubts about her career because she was handed a bad first gig. Remember Suicide Squad from 2016, well she was Katana. Since then, she’s done great work on Amazon Prime’s show “The Boys” and her voice work on “She-Ra,” another Netflix original. Wolf is played by Sydney Mikayla who has been working on other animated shows like “Craig of the Creek” and “Loud House.”  Dave is Played by Comedian Deon Cole. I believe this is his first outing as a voice actor, but he was almost unrecognizable in his portrayal. Kipo is a big step up from “Blackish & Grownish.”  You also have Sterling K. Brown as Kipo’s father and he also has a wonderful singing voice.  This show soundtrack has a variety of entertaining music. Daniel Rojas has done some great scores for the show; awesome songs that are at Steven Universe tier in my opinion. For a Ballad about a legendary “lumberjack Cat” to a rap about astrology by wolf voice “The GZA” from the  Wu Tang Clan. This show is a full package of family delight. If you are looking for a quality show to watch with your peeps, or like I said earlier, you have aa Steven Universe itch that needs to be scratched KIPO is where it’s at.

Steven Spielberg’s Latest Project With Comcast Has a Surprising Home
In the lobby of Philadelphia’s glossy new Comcast Technology Center, you will find all the elements you might expect in a $1.5 billion, state-of-the-art skyscraper. Two groves of trees have been planted just inside the entrance, giving way to striking works of art: an 18-foot mirrored-steel sculpture by British artist Conrad Shawcross and, floating across the soaring ceiling, a digital art installation by conceptual artist Jenny Holzer. Up the escalator in the sky lobby, there’s a restaurant by a James Beard Award–winning chef, serving pour-over coffee to go and classic chicken ballotine to stay.
But there’s something else here you probably wouldn’t expect: a three-story, luminescent white orb, which is home to the latest project by one of the world’s most influential filmmakers.
The attraction, named the Universal Sphere, is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg and opened just weeks ago, though it’s been years in the making. Telecommunications giant Comcast, which launched in 1963 and is headquartered in Philadelphia, set out to expand its footprint in the city.
“The first 50 years for our company were about finance and entrepreneurship,” says Comcast CEO Brian Roberts. “If we’re going to thrive for the next 50 years, it’s going to be about innovation, media, and technology.”
With that in mind, the media conglomerate hired Foster + Partners in London, helmed by famed architect Norman Foster, to design the new Comcast Technology Center. When it came time to map out the expansive lobby, concepts ranged from a Comcast store to more seating for restaurant Vernick Coffee Bar. But during construction there was still no definitive plan for the space. An architect assigned to the project shared a new idea he had come across from London-based company Immersive: a visionary new mode of storytelling, using a sphere as a form of virtual reality without the headset or glasses. Roberts immediately saw the possibilities, and he reached out to someone with filmmaking experience for advice on how to proceed. “I asked Steven, ‘Who’s someone who could take this new sphere and help us make a film?’” recalls Roberts. “When he offered to partner with us himself, we were blown away. What an amazing privilege to work with Steven Spielberg to explore a new form of moviemaking.”
The Universal Sphere inside Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia.
To experience the Universal Sphere firsthand, you must reserve a complimentary ticket online. The 34-foot orb sits just feet from the turnstiles streaming with Comcast employees headed to their offices above. When it’s time to enter, hydraulic doors seamlessly emerge and slide open, like an episode of Star Trek come to life. Inside there are a few rows of seats that move along with the film, surrounded by a 360-degree dome theater. By design, it’s impossible to take in the whole film, called The Power of I, at once. But come back to experience in each subsequent viewing elements you might have missed.
The final product took about two years to create. Comcast brought Spielberg in and rented out the Fels Planetarium at The Franklin Institute Science Museum—the closest thing in Philadelphia (or maybe anywhere) to what the Sphere would become—to kick-start the brainstorming process. It was during the first one of these planning sessions that Spielberg got the idea to make a film about the origin and power of ideas.
Striking the right tone in a seven-minute film can be challenging, but the team—which also included Academy Award–winning film composers Mychael and Jeff Danna, as well as creative professionals at DreamWorks Animation, Universal Parks & Resorts, and Comcast Labs—was up to the task. The end result feels both profound and playful. And in a city well known for its rich history, it’s also a groundbreaking and visually stunning new attraction for Philadelphia.
“We wanted to find a narrative that was everything from visually stunning to truly thought-provoking, that had real emotion and purpose, and ultimately, was just an unexpected experience that’s not a commercial for Comcast NBCUniversal in any way, shape, or form,” Roberts says. “It’s a celebration of all that can be.”
