I've taken hundreds of screenshots from Rebirth, from almost every single Sephiroth scene. Not with the camera mod, of course, since it isn't on PC yet. Mostly, I've taken them for the purpose of making manipulations, though many of them are pretty enough to be wallpapers all on their own, so I'd like to edit those, too.

I'm allllllmost done with the refresh of Stranger Inside, so once that's finished and I begin posting it, I'll take a short break from writing before starting to edit the sequel. Winter is coming and the end of yardwork with it, which will give me more time to create more things. I'll do my best~

This all started with Dick, obviously, who was the heartthrob in the Teen Titans, an extremely wholesome Disney Channel-esque co-ed group as a teenager. A decade later Tim was in the rebooted group, just called Titans to try and make it slightly edgier. He was supposed to be the heartthrob but Kon was there, so... (Jason had a solo hit - think "Baby" by Justin Bieber - and then he disappeared for years while a lot of bad things happened that the Waynes Don't Talk About. He came back as an extremely edgy punk artist and formed a band with former Teen Titan/tabloid scandal Roy Harper and Dick's ex-girlfriend.) Bruce is a music mogul who does genuinely love his children but doesn't quite understand that turning them all into child stars is like...maybe not the healthiest option? Clark is a music journalist.

Like in canon, Damian didn't know Bruce until he was 10, and he feels intense competition with his older brothers, so he's determined to become a bigger star than any of them. But his solo career absolutely TANKS because while he is extremely musically gifted, he has basically zero charisma because he refuses to unbend.

And then Bruce is over for dinner at his good friend Clark's house and he hears Jon singing along to an old Titans song and is like "...I have an idea." Clark is very, very unsure about it.

Damian does NOT like the idea but the first few performances as World's Finest actually go really well and he's begrudgingly willing to do what it takes. Jon doesn't fully win him over until they discover that he's a pretty good lyricist to Damian's composer. And then he realizes how skillfully Jon cheerfully deflects any prying questions about Damian's mother, or Jason, or anything Damian wouldn't want to talk about, and he starts to trust him.

Jon, of course, has been desperately in love with Damian since the first time he heard his voice.

Bonus: Ra's or someone offers Damian a solo record contract and he allllllmost signs it and Jon finds out and is very hurt and it's all very dramatic but Damian decides to stay with Jon and then they kiss onstage at the Grammy's or something.

I'm barely 4min into a playthrough of Connection: The Nightmare Within and it's already so bad that it's allllllmost funny. My guess is they didn't have a hell of a lot of money to use and spent most of it on the skins, leaving voice acting and motion to either low-quality teams or AI.

I haven't seen combat or even characters moving around much, yet, but... We'll see.

I've already turned on and then turned off a few play throughs today. One benefit of watching the channel Horror Game House is that they play a lot of indy and unknown studios' games. The detriment being they're bad sometimes, and sometimes HGH reposts older playthroughs, I guess to get more views from people like me who can't remember what they have and haven't watched, yet.

“I’ve got everything under control” for Phoebe or Paige? (She’s the fourth one right?)

Yes she is! I decided to say screw it to this fic and throw in ghost!Prue along with the other three sisters. In my head there are two universes, the one where the sisters never really hear from Prue except for special occasions because "ghost rules" and the one where ghost!Prue just drops in whenever she feels like it. This takes place in the later universe and sometime in late season 5. Also I had so much fun writing this!

“Okay,” Piper calls out, breezing into the kitchen with Wyatt on one hip, “there’s two reasons for the house to be smelling like the wrong side of a thraxis demon and it’s either that Phoebe is cooking again or someone is making a potion.”

It turns out that either way, Phoebe is the culprit as she stands over a big steaming pot of something. “Don’t worry! I’ve got everything under control!”

“Yeah, that’s why there’s unspeakable goo on the kitchen ceiling,” Prue jabs from her potion, half sitting, half floating on the corner of the island.

“Like you’ve never made a mess of the kitchen,” Phoebe shoots back, the corner of her mouth turned up. "I seem to remember one or two backfired potions and oh, a blender that didn't have its top on before use."

Prue puts up her hands in mock defense. "Okay, okay, you've made your point."

"What are you making anyway?" Piper asks, stepping just close enough to see the boiling greenish-black sludge inside.

"She won't tell us," Paige says from her spot at the kitchen table. She's got her nose buried in a magazine and a mug of untouched, probably cold, coffee in front of her. "Says its a 'surprise'."

When Piper looks back at her, Phoebe nods emphatically.

"Okay... can you at least tell us if its food or a potion? I'd like to prepare myself accordingly."

Phoebe rolls her eyes, "Gee, Piper, isn't it obvious?"

Piper slowly looks over at Prue who gives her a titled smile. "Yeah, Piper, isn't it obvious?"

"You know, you were a lot less sarcastic when you were alive."

"No I wasn't," Prue says with a grin.

"No you weren't."

"You know," Paige glances up from her magazine, "I think Richard Gere is a warlock."

"Woah, topic change," Prue says, floating over to look at the magazine.

Phoebe points a ladle towards them. "Hey, don't knock Richard Gere, he's hot."

"You know who else was hot and evil?" Paige asks.

"Jeremy."

"Nate."

"Cole."

"Bane. Sorta."

"See," Paige smirks, "my point exactly."

Phoebe tilts her head in concession and then her eyes widen, "Woah, what if Julia Roberts is a witch and they keep being cast in movies together to balance out the scales or something."

Piper shakes her head. "Okay, I think the fumes from Phoebe's... whatever is making us all delirious."

"Hey!" Phoebe objects, "Everything in there is human safe."

"Plus I don't feel anything," Prue says.

"That's because you're dead, honey."

"Ha ha."

"Besides, it's allllllmost done," Phoebe continues, ignoring both of them. "Paige, where did you put the bay leaves?"

"Right cabinet, bottom shelf."

"Perfect." Grabbing the ingredient, Phoebe tosses four into the pot. "Done."

Prue, Piper, and Paige exchange looks as she carefully pours the goop into four cups, arranges them carefully on a tray, and brings it to them. The liquid has maintained its greenish-black color but shimmers slightly in the kitchen light. Each cup is topped with one singular bay leaf but it does little to hide how the contents have somehow become even more sludge-like outside of the pot.

"Okay," Phoebe beams, "Drink up."

Firstly, Boyd has always treated her like thee queen, and suddenly they have him treating her like a possession he’s pissing all over. She’s being downgraded to plaything and trophy.

Second, they’ve already made it clear that Raylan does not have feelings for Ava, and nowhere in this story have we gotten any other message. I mean he was a fuck boy, ghosted her, and now he’s actually kind of a dick to her. When she’s yellin at him, I’m always rooting for her.

So. I dub this shit contrived and weak. No. I could buy these three in many different configurations. I could buy Ava fuckin off to be hugely successful and leaving these two in the dust.

I could also buy them in a poly if she never had to deal with Raylan’s shit. Like if Boyd were assigned to Raylan exclusively. These three could be like an open triangle, or a V arrangement here. Because here is what the narrative has established:

Ava is sick of Raylan’s shit and wants nothing to do with him. As she should. Ava loves Boyd.

Boyd adores his queen Ava and his princess Raylan and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Raylan is codependently and homoerotically obsessed with Boyd.

Got it, Justified show runners?

I will never fall for the “oh Boyd grabs Ava’s ass in front of Raylan to show him who is boss” or “Ava kisses Raylan out of nowhere for no reason once and no one mentions it ever and we know she is sick of him but still we’re supposed to care”

Justified writes the best female characters, then when they need drama, they reduce miss Ava to this, no no no. She is not a possession, and those men have no reason to fight over her.

It’s allllllmost there. Almost! I’m drafting the wrap-up

Although I feel like I’ve lost the ability to write DFQC because Zhang Linghe has been on the brain so much, and it’s a bit frustrating to recognize that OOCness and not really know how to fix it. DFQC come baaaaack

8. if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for…

So I wrote this series, right, where the main fic follows one half of the OTP’s point of view, but there’s a little side story showing what the other half of the OTP was up to during the first part of the main fic. I’d like to extend that side story to cover the second half too! There’s a lot of pining in the side story, and I think it can only get better when he finds out the girl he was pining over went and got a new boyfriend while he was out of the picture.

The fic’s name is Interstices, and the ship is Shinichi/Ran from Detective Conan.

28. your least favorite part of the writing process

Recognizing I’ll have to rewrite a section I thought was already good is pretty painful, especially if the section is substantial 😭

Are there fanfic writers who don’t do this? 🤣 I’ll answer both questions at once.

Yes, I have. But usually not too badly or for long. I will read and think about heavy angst, but writing it tends to wear me out.

My heaviest hitters for the Halo show are:

Only Human. John & Cortana; John does all the suffering. The suffering in the fic isn’t too bad but John has been hurting for an unspecified amount of time before.

Angel-117 series/Vital Record AU. John suffers and suffers, but not without some happiness.

And for the games:

Survivor. Audrey and Tom both suffer, but mostly Audrey.

Lost and Found: More like “canon made Lasky suffer for character development and I’m making it better” 😂

If I can ever get it out of WIP hell, my story of how Tom and Chyler allllllmost got divorced would be hardcore suffering but some pretty great character development.
