june 9/10 — sorsogon trip

Irosin, Sorsogon
Last stop on my Sorsogon trip!
• Naglahao Falls - Sa lahat ng napuntahan ko, this was the only one that required a long trek. Mga 15-20mins din pero it was worth it! Malalim yung tubig, malakas ang current, and sobrang lamig! 🥶
Tumblr media
• Also tried the zipline. 3x pa lang ako nag zipline sa buong buhay ko and this has got to be the longest one yet. Enjoyed it so much!

My first week at Kasangayahan Trading
Sir HR welcomed me and the other interns, explaining the company's rules and regulations before assigning me to the Agri-Farm department. I was immediately introduced to Ma'am Delve, my advisor, and the rest of the team, Ma'am Jovelyn, Ma'am May Ann, and Ma'am Roxann. My first task was to cut papers, which was a bit unexpected, but it helped me get used to the office environment. Then, I was given the challenge of recording all the audits from July 2024 to January 2025. It was a lot of numbers, and I realized that this job wasn't as simple as I thought! But, it also motivated me to learn more and push myself. In the afternoon, Ma'am Eden took me to the warehouse to learn about inventory management. I already had some basic knowledge, but seeing it in action was really helpful. The next day, I started by asking Ma'am Delve for a task, and she asked me to double-check the deposits, making sure all the transactions were correct. It was a lot of receipts and numbers to go through, but I focused on making sure everything was accurate. This task really helped me improve my focus and attention to detail. Day three was a busy one! We went to the Kasangayahan branches in Irosin and Bulan for auditing. I observed and assisted Ma'am Eden and Ma'am Delve. The journey was a bit challenging, as it was a long drive . While auditing, I realized how important it is to count everything accurately. Even a small mistake can affect the cash balance. It's not easy work, but it's another valuable experience. Day four started with me finishing up the double-checking of deposits and receipts that I started the previous day. Then, Ma'am Delve gave me a new task, double-checking all the receipts from the agricultural salesmen. This was even more challenging because I had to compute the total sales. But, I'm learning so much, and I'm enjoying the new challenge. In the afternoon, we went back to the warehouse for inventory. This time, I was a bit faster and less confused about the codes. Thanks to Ma'am Eden's guidance, I'm getting the hang of it! Day five was spent double-checking receipts from the salesmen. my first week of OJT has been a whirlwind of learning and growth. I'm excited to see what the next week brings

Back-to-school
7:08 P.M. at Irosin, Sorsogon
Tomorrow brings a pile of quizzes – AP for all the lessons of the second quarter and one in Filipino. Back to school feels like a familiar tune, but honestly, I'm feeling tired. It's like this never-ending loop of studying, testing, and repeating. I flip through my notes, and it's like déjà vu. The same routine, the same cycle. The pages of my textbooks start to blend together, and I can't shake off the fatigue. It's just a lot. But you know, there's a kind of simple beauty in the struggle. Each question feels like a step, and every correct answer is a little victory. It might be tiring, but there's a purity in pushing through. As I close this chapter of today, I hope tomorrow brings not just quizzes but also a chance to find beauty in the everyday struggle.
Tired but trying,

Recently, I booked a trip with Daydreamscape to explore the beautiful province of Sorsogon. The travel itinerary was carefully crafted, covering a variety of activities that allowed us to immerse ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty of the area.
On Day 1, we departed from Manila at 8:00 PM, arriving at Beata Beach, Sta. Magdalena Sorsosgon, at 10:00 AM the following day. After checking in at Beata Beach Resort, we enjoyed brunch and then spent the day engaging in a range of activities, from snorkeling to kayaking and exploring nearby islands. The clear blue water and stunning scenery made for a picture-perfect day.
On Day 2, we had breakfast before departing for Bulusan Lake Natural Park. Hiking in the surrounding forest offered a great workout, and we enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing picnic while taking in the scenic view. We then had lunch at a local restaurant before heading to D Greenthumb Garden in Irosin to explore the various plant species and learn about their various uses. It was an insightful experience, and we enjoyed a lovely evening at Pentaqua Dineros Guesthouse, savoring the delicious cuisine at Pier Restaurant.
On Day 3, we had breakfast and prepared for our departure back to Manila, which included travel insurance.
Overall, our trip with Daydreamscape was excellent, and we were able to enjoy everything Sorsogon had to offer comfortably and safely. The travel package cost was Php 13,500 and included transportation, accommodation, meals and activities. It was a great value for the amazing experience we had.

WEEK 4 - SAFADECO (Salvacion Farmers Development Cooperative )
February 10 -15, 2025
Tumblr media
February experiences as an intern at The Lewis College:
On Monday morning, we verified the official receipts of DO and teller to ensure the details is correct. Afterwards , we processed the membership fee payments for Damayan members, assisted by Ma'am Belle, the bookkeeper, and the OJTs from BU Gubat. In the afternoon, we attended a loan orientation led by Sir Ryan, the loan officer, with Louela and Jaga from BU Gubat conducting the session alongside by Sir Ryan. Additionally , we gathered with the OJTs from BU Gubat to receive an orientation on cash flow analysis, which DOs use during their fieldwork. Sir Ryan provided a brief overview, covering daily, weekly, and monthly expenses, as well as the credit scoring questionnaires . This questionnaire assesses factors like character, ability to repay, capital status, collateral, co-makers, and credit conditions, each with different scoring. It also included the financial aspects of members' businesses, such as raw materials, labor, rent, utilities, transportation, fuel, loan payments, and food.
The following day, we continued assisting with Damayan membership processing with Ma'am Karla. We also informed the OJTs from BU Gubat about the Damayan program, giving them additional knowledge of SAFADCO's operations. Additionally, we were tasked with locating members' signature cards, which, according to Ma'am Chloe (the branch manager), belong to the teller for their reference. We cross-checked these details to ensure they matched the members' files. Before the day ends, we sorted members' signature cards in ekoop, as some did not have codes. Over the next two days, we completed finding and sorting the signature cards.
On the next day, which took two days, we sorted data to determine whether members were in categories such as offsetting, write-off, no loan, closed, or resigned. We also reviewed their balances for regular, common, and preferred loans. Additionally, we prepared Valentine’s gifts for members, including cutting ribbons and printing cards with love quotes, with the assistance of OJTs from BU Gubat. We attended an online seminar on self-worth by Dr. Pauline Quimson, the resource speaker from NATCCO. She shared tips on how to value ourselves and stay physically fit amidst daily stress, and we also practiced basic exercises with OJTs from different schools.
On Friday, Valentine’s Day, we participated in the Color Fun Run organized by the Sorsogon Cooperative Union and sponsored by NATCCO. We ran together as a team, including staff from SAFADCO and OJTs from Veritas College of Irosin, CCDI, and BU Gubat, from Rompeolas to Capitol Park, followed by an energizing Zumba session at 5 am in Rompeolas. After arriving at the office by 9 am, we continued sorting member data to determine their loan categories with Ma'am Karla. We also separated journal vouchers and cash vouchers from January to December 2024. On the last day of the week, Saturday, Ma'am Julie instructed us to input details for members' easy loans. I also contacted members regarding their approved loans and updated new members in ekoop from San Juan Roro and Bacon, while preparing documents for five members with approved loans.
To sum up, the week ended with a wealth of knowledge that will undoubtedly guide us in our future careers.
