We start in the very first episode, the pilot.

Look 1:

Our first glimpse of our leading lady is when she’s watching the particle accelerator be turned on. Though it’s nothing especially exciting, I love this look. All of it feels like it couldn’t be worn separately- which is very, very Iris. Yes, she can be impulsive and emotional, but at the same time, she doesn’t make a move without considering everything, and such details are woven into her outfits.

I love her moto jacket!! I REALLY wish she got to repeat it in the show. Wornontv informs me that it’s the Montesson Jacket in Navy Marine/Everest by Wilfred.  It’s gorgeous on her. The dark purple and red combo looks great. 

In future, the purple and red would reflect Barry and Iris as a superhero power couple so while I’m sure it was unintentional, A+ for unintentional foreshadowing with Iris’ outfit. Also the fact that it goes so well with Barry’s outfit? Soulmates.  

Candice said that Iris rarely wears flat shoes and this is reflective in the Pilot where she starts off by running in heeled ankle boots.

Not pictured, but she also has cute little red bracelets and studded earrings which look great, not overpowering her look but adding to it. And this is the first time she wears rings! Rings are Iris’ go to accessory throughout the series so it’s neat to see where it all started! Unfortunately, I can’t find where to find them. 

Also love the bag with her psych dissertation in it. For as much as Iris ribs Barry about his nerdiness, she is SUCH a nerd. Yes, Iris, the particle accelerator unveiling is the best place to work on your dissertation and not something you could go back to when you get home!

Look 2:

Not much of a look- it was very briefly shown but it looks like casual wear. Which is very exciting- we don’t get to often see her casual garb this season! Looks like a pink top, green or black jacket and grey pants. A chaotic colour combination that is more chaotic than others, but still looks good on her. 

This is probably due to the fact that this is one of the most chaotic moments of her life so far- her best friend just got struck by lightning.

Look 3:

Not many pics since this is one of her most recurring outfits, so you’ll def see it again! It is the Wilfred Free LISIÈRE DRESS in CRS Dye/Mykonos BL. I think it’s one of her simplest looks of the season. 

She’s grieving Barry, but she has to get to work, smile and be friendly and that is reflected in her costuming. I love that her necklace is off centre- her head doesn’t seem to be tilted and the shot is straight. Off centre necklaces are Iris’ thing in early s1 and honestly, I wish they would make a comeback. 

Look 4:

In her next Jitters scene, she wears an army green jacket, a red floral dress (Talula: Lipinski Dress), burgundy tights and of course, heeled ankle boots. There was…a lot in this outfit lmao. I love the jacket- the gold accents, the scalloped back, the collar. 

It’s a very cute dress too! And I love the way scoop necks look on her. The daisy necklace is adorable and matches the dress. Still, very cute and very fitting for the outfit. I love the silhouette of her outfit, too.

Look 5

This look is cute and I’m so surprised it only has .4 seconds of screentime considering it was the main promotional look.

Regardless, it’s a short reddish purple dress which is a really unusual shade for her in that she doesn’t get to wear it that frequently. Which is a shame, she looks great in it. She also has a bracelet which looks gold and red in the photoshoots. I’m unsure if she wears it in the show, given the short amount of time she’s in it. 

And another off center necklace! Another circular necklace though this one has points. I originally thought it was a locket but no. just a circle.

A baby Iris flashback! This look reappears in 3x21…appears? It’s a pink and white dressing gown with flowers on it and white pyjamas with details on it. 

It’s really cute but I can’t get over how close the West family home set looks to Barry’s lab set. Also Barry’s  perspective with Iris glowing golden is very, very cute.

DEETED LOOK 2

This doesn’t seem to have Iris vibes to it which might be why this is only in a “blink and you miss it” scene in the trailer. She rarely wears polo collars, and she very rarely wears burgundy and black.  That being said, she looks cute.

Elseworlds Addendum - The Flash (Barry Allen)

Barry Allen was a forensic scientist who worked for the Central City Police Department.  Late one night when he was at his lab, a freak lightning bolt struck a nearby shelf dousing Allen with a strange concoction of unnamed chemicals.  In some bizarre fashion, the result was that Allen could connect to ‘The Speed Force.’  

As such, he could now run at supersonic speed, had matching reflexes and could heal rapidly from injury.  Furthermore, this Speed Force also protected Allen from the frictional velocity of moving at such extreme speeds.  With these newfound powers, Allen donned a crimson bodysuit sporting a lightning bolt and dubbed himself ‘The Flash’ becoming a crimefighter patrolling the streets of Central City.  

The Flash would go on to help form the first iteration of The Justice League and also married his longterm girlfriend Iris West.  Allen perished in a valiant effort to save the multiverse during the Crisis of Infinite Earths; at which point his former sidekick, Wally West, stepped in to become the new Flash.  Allen returned from the dead several years later thanks to some complex machination of The Speed Force.  Reassuming the mantle of The Flash, Allen returned to protecting his city and serving on The Justice League. 

Wally West was the main Flash of DC Comics at the time that the Justice League animated series debuted.  As such, Wally became The Flash of the DCAU continuity (with elements of Barry Allen’s backstory incorporated into Wally’s character).  Although a colleague of Wally’s at the Central City Police Department who resembled Barry did make a cameo in the Justice League Unlimited episode, ‘Flash and Substance.’ 

The Barry Allen version of The Flash first appeared in the pages of Showcase #4 (1956).

Heh — now I’m doing Barry and Iris…

So for anyone who cares, I was doing a lot of thinking about Iris and how to design/write her, and… *takes deep breath* okay, gonna be completely honest here… I find Iris to be boring in her basic description and original design. Come on, she’s basically just red-head Lois Lane. Same job, even. So, here’s what I was thinking: first off, I’m going back to her pre-52 situation where she was adopted by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. West, and has two adoptive siblings. She, in this version, would be of Puerto Rican decent, while her adoptive family carries the red-head gene, thus keeping Wally West the lovable ginger we know him as. (Where my Young Justice peeps at?!) Secondly, her job. This kinda just came out of nowhere as I was designing the character, but: fashion designer. Her father is this brilliant scientist, yada yada yada, and she’s kinda sick of the nerdy stuff. She wants to pursue this avenue of art instead. But then, when she meets Barry, and he reveals his secret identity to her, she realises that if he’s gonna be a superhero, he’s gotta have a super suit, and while she brings the ace design skills, he brings the science skills that help keep the suit from, you know, burning up under immense friction. Iris, naturally, hates this at first “You’re tainting my fashion with your science!” XD but over time it brings them closer together, and in the future, she goes on to spearhead the super suit design for all kinds of supers.

So, darlings…. What do we think?

I saw on a recent post that you are accepting headcanons in your asks. Heres mine:

I have a hc that speedsters get temporary hearing loss and/or tinnitus when they break the sound barrier. The West family even uses ASL and certains signals to show the others that they cant hear. An example would be: Wally decided to take an extra lap around the world on his way to Barry and Iris’s from school. He accidentally broke the sound barrier and now everything is muffled. He enters the West-Allen home and signs to the couple “cannot hear, ran too fast” and they both instantly start signing. Wally talks about his day while they all wait for his speedster healing to heal his eardrums. Wally starts to hear loud ringing before he can hear again.

Bonus: Barry and Wally never really told anyone about this and sometimes during mission debrief he has to lipread. Miscommunication ensues.

This hc comes from a medical condition I have. It caused me to go through “episodes” where I get really loud ringing in my ear or complete silence or both. This can happen to either ear at any time (sometimes both ears). These episodes last anywhere from 30 min to 3 days. Recently they’ve been around 2-4hrs tho. In that time I rely on lipreading and sign language. And in typical rainy-day707 fashion, I felt the need to project my life onto my favorite characters. Hence speedsters getting temporary hearing loss.

Immediately absorbing this into my own personal canon. Will be thinking about it for the next 3 hours

okay i fear part of the reason im back on tumblr is so i can talk about my characters... so LISTEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or dont i will be yapping....

these are ocs but i reject calling them that because i despise the term (jk not really cuz its accurate to what they are... but i believe people do not respect ocs as much as they should like. not mine necessarily but yall have some awesome characters and they should be treated as such. like yknow if u went to jrr tolkien and said omg i love yr OCs from lord of the rings technically yr correct but it would be odd)

anyways. the series is called truth hurts (fun fact: theres a spin off alternate universe called lies kill in which everything just goes REALLY badly) and it follows a group of teen/young adult monsters as theyre losers and awful

the main guys name is max and hes emo and has eating issues. hes egyptian american and his mom is a mummy witch thing (long story. her name is iris ily iris). hes lowkey psychic and all his friends think hes a skeleton (like.... reanimated dead style) which is really funny cuz hes not hes just malnourished. hes 17 btw i think. i dont remember whatever

his best friend is selene and shes a werewolf and she lives in a community of werewolves and their families- werewolfism is a gene that doesnt always activate so not every1 in a family is a werewolf. so selene has 5 siblings and only 1 of them is also a werewolf. ANYWAYS! her family and max's are super close except being a werewolf is SUPER SECRET so she doesnt tell max and thinks he doesnt know. he totally does tho and thinks shes just super shy about it. selene is 19 african american and like if pinkie pie was an asshole sometimes. she loves fashion and is super messy and bright and awesome

the bffs leave to follow around their favorite band (more on that later) and they meet siblings salem and crow. btw yes i know my names are awful. i love them so much. anyways salem is a goth witch and in search of other witch covens (its another long story) and crow is her little brother. hes autistic and nonverbal and really likes dragons and the barbie movies and chocolate. hes 12ish and salem is 21 i think... they're both this african/native american/asian mix thats hard to explain because the witches are almost a complete separate race???? since they came to america from west coast africa and east asia like pre 1500s... ANYWAYS!

my personal favorite because i ahte him and want him dead is caesar. hes also called casper for a while. guess what ... hes a ghost! and he has a psychic connection with max because theyre lowkey highkey soulmates. basically caesar dies at 16 (murdered by his pastor. i really want to talk about this but i wont right now........) and gets sent to purgatory which is just a vast expanse of white. usually the dead who get stuck in purgatory go crazy and kill themselves within a year BUUTTTTTTT psychic max is able to visit caesar when max is asleep, which keeps him sane. two years later max and caesar find a way to bring him back (sort of....) and he joins the crew. also theyre gay. tfw you meet some guy in your dreams and save him from going insane and become his only tie to reality. anyways caesar is sort of 19 when he gets back but also he is still physically 16. hes my white blonde guy because you guys know how i am about blondes

and the forever forgotten (seriously none of my friends care about her) last member is marin. they're a selkie/mermaid/water creature (she calls herself a selkie but theyre not very similar to selkies in typical lore). theyre this wide eyed ginger 14 year old who is sort of a girl but the selkie species doesnt really folloow the same kind of gender so shes a she and a they and she doesnt care. she left her watery home of the great lakes to explore the world of humans and theyre super sweet and wonderful and also a little scary.

anyways. the whole gang basically is following around max's special interest favorite band- the lost boys. they're vampires but the world doesnt know because they think its just a bit cuz theyre an emo-goth band. they have nothing to do with the lost boys movie (or is it a show????) which i accidentally plagiarized despite never seeing or hearing about the movie until it was brought up by my friends. anyways theyre called the lost boys cuz their stage names are peter pan, wendy, slightly and nibs. real names being silas raven damon and archie. silas (lead guitarist) runs a clothing brand called 'truth hurts' and max is insanely obsessed with it(some of you know exactly what was inspo for this.....). silas shares that there will be different and exclusive truth hurts merch at every city on TLB upcoming tour so max takes all his savings out to road trip across america with selene and follow the tour. raven is transwomen with insane vocals (she uses her gorgeous low voice for singing but speaks in a more traditionally feminine higher pitched voice) and shes dating silas. damon is the bass guitarist and the oldest vampire in the band (was turned like 300 years ago). archie is IRISH! and the drummer. hes funny.

also salem and selene hate each other for most of the series but thats only because they absolutely are in love. max and caesar are doomed and in love forever. marin briefly has a crush on a fairy but they dont date. shes sort of aroish. crow will get a wonderful girlfriend a couple years post truth hurts series.

Christmas at the West’s house was pure magic. I could feel it the moment Barry and I stepped through the door. The whole house smelled of pine, cinnamon, and peppermint, with twinkling lights strung along every wall, and a warm fire crackling in the fireplace. Joe had gone all out with the decorations. Iris and Wally were adding final touches to the tree. Cisco was in the kitchen, already sneaking bites of Caitlin’s Christmas cookies while she pretended not to notice, though the smirk on her face gave her away. 

Barry took my coat and hung it by the door, flashing me that smile of his. He knew how much I loved Christmas and having it here, with all this family that felt more like my own with every visit, made it feel even more special. 

“Finally! Now the party can actually start!” Cisco called from the kitchen, waving a wooden spoon. I laughed, joining him and Caitlin as they arranged a mountain of cookies on a platter. Caitlin handed me a gingerbread man and I took a bite, marveling at the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. 

“Caitlin, these are amazing!” I told her, watching as she blushed and a small smile formed on her face. 

“Only the best for the holidays.” She said, dusting flour from her hands. 

“And watch out for Cisco, he’s already eaten almost half the tray.” He gasped in mock offense. 

“Hey! I’m just quality-checking! Ya know, making sure everything is top-tier.” 

The living room suddenly erupted in laughter, and I turned to see Barry draping a strand of tinsel over Joe’s shoulders. Joe responded by rolling his eyes and playfully shoving him away. Wally added his own commentary, and Iris giggled, shaking her head at the sight of her dad wearing silver tinsel.

We gathered around the tree to open presents, love, and laughter filling every corner of the room. Iris passed around mugs of cocoa, and Joe put on a Christmas record that cracked with old-fashioned charm. 

“Alright, first gift of the night!” Joe announced, handing a small, carefully wrapped package to Caitlin. Her eyes widened as she took it and unwrapped it to find a beautiful necklace. Barry squeezed my hand, his thumb brushing gently over my knuckles. His eyes sparkled with excitement as we exchanged gifts and I could tell he’d been looking forward to this moment all night. 

“I know it’s not much.” He muttered as he handed me my gift. It was a small box wrapped in paper with a silver bow. I opened it slowly, my heart racing. Inside was a tony locket, shaped like a snowflake with intricate engravings that shimmered in the light. I looked up, my eyes meeting his and he gave me that soft smile that always melted my heart. 

“It’s perfect…” I whispered, fastening the locket around my neck and feeling its cool weight settle over my heart. 

As the night went on, laughter and joy continued to fill the house. Cisco and Wally attempted a duet to Jingle Bells that quickly devolved into laughter, while Caitlin joined in with a surprisingly good harmony. Even Joe got in on the fun, singing along with a deep voice that had us all in stitches. 

Later, as the night started winding down, I found myself snuggled up on the couch with Barry. His arm was wrapped securely around my waist as we watched the fire crackle and pop. Iris leaned against Joe, her head resting on his shoulder, while Cisco and Caitlin sat across from us, sharing the last of the cookies. 

“This…” Barry mumbled softly, pressing a gentle kiss to my temple.

“...is what Christmas should always feel like.” I glanced up at him, my heart full. 

“Yeah, this is perfect.” I agreed snuggling closer.

I just don’t think they can be as badass as Lian and Mari. They come from two badass super families and Milagro is just one of the few thousand GL and irey can run super fast

Right, so I again am assuming you’re coming from a good place. So I’m going to explain from my perspective why I think they’re badasses.

In terms of Comic Milagro, you’re right, we don’t know much about her. Hell, she’s not even a lantern as far as I’m aware. However. In my cannon, she became a lantern at 10 years old. She was forced into this life, but that gives her a clarity to point out the bullshit Legacy heroes don’t notice.

Like someone calling her friend a slur in front of a group of adults that have done nothing to protect said friend. She’ll take the ‘disciplinary action’ for breaking the asshole’s nose.

She might be one of many GL, but her ring is not the only thing she does as a hero. She learned how to fix essentially all the iconic vehicles driven by various league members and assisted in the redesign of multiple hero uniforms. More than that, and yes this is very important, she is a latina girl. Yes, we have Jessica Cruz, but think of how little kids look up to teenagers. She comes from a normal family. But she’s a hero. She. Is. A. Hero. And she doesn’t look like me, I’m a white girl, I can find heroes that look me, but not everyone has that luxury. Think about the shot in the Blue Beetle Trailer of the little boy seeing Jaime. It. Matters.

I, personally, designed her character to break the stereotype of how “Badass Women” should look. Not sure what I mean? Look at any action movie, superhero show/movie, etc and tell me how the Heroines are dressed. How many are in a tank top/plain shirt, leather jacket, jeans, and some kind of boot (combat or low heeled)? How many have that Pretty Woman moment of “look how nice I clean up which everyone will comment on”? Her femininity, her love of fashion and knitting and telenovelas and all the other feminine things are things I never see “Badass women do.”

Femininity and Badassery are not part of a dichotomy.

Miss Iris Anne West II’s family is full of scientists and reporters. Frankly more badass than either the Bats or the Arrows because they don’t have a huge fortune to fall back on. Her Great Uncle was hit by lightning. Her father gave himself powers at 12 years old (give or take) by recreating the experiment of said Great Uncle. Her family has created and destroyed and changed so many timelines. Their rogues have one of the strictest codes of honor compared to every other Villian. In the old Justice League Cartoon, Wally didn’t even have to fight his bad guy! Just told him to go to jail after having a conversation about the guy being off his meds and why it’s important he take them.

And circling back—Her family being full of reporters and scientists gives her both highly inquisitive mind and the skills to answer her questions. Knowing the difference between The Truth and The Story was drilled into her from birth. The Story is what everyone says happened in order to make the facts fit nice and neat. The Truth is what actually happened, regardless of it being “neat”. Do you know how hard it can be to hold thag belief when the rest of the world demands conformity?

“Irey can run super fast” you’re right. That is the basis of her powers, but not the entirety of them. According to her Prime Earth and New Earth Wiki pages, the full breath of her powers include:

Welcome back to another edition of Iris West looks! The show’s over but this blog isn’t!

Our first look is a baby! Iris look

She’s wearing a hot pink cardigan over a floral patterned blue and white shirt and denim shorts. I adore what baby Iris wears, guys. I love the floral almost motif she’s got going on. 

That being said, I hate how EVERY Baby! Iris scene, she has the same hairstyle. Miss West, please look at some YouTube tutorials. 

Secondly, we get a formal look!

Iris, being the “everygirl” doesn’t get to dress up too often so it’s very exciting when she does! 

She’s wearing the BCBG Joselyn dress in lavender mist. Full disclosure, I thought it was pale pink for the longest time but. It’s pale purple. I really love the dress. I love the patterns on it and how it falls. I think it’s one of the most beautiful dresses Iris wears in the show.  She wears the dress with a pair of simple black heels, drop earrings and a cuff bracelet- and of course, her rings.

And this look introduces the bright pink phone case! Honestly ADORE the pink phone case. It’s fun, it’s bright…it’s Iris all the way. 

The look, including Barry’s, is fun to compare to the next journalism-Flash investigation in 5.05 where they wear more formal wear. 

Thirdly, we get another dress.

This is PEAK season 1! Iris. Cute dress, check. Ankle boots, check. Earrings, necklace and rings, check, check and check. The dress is pretty casual but the belt really changes the shape and I love it. So much. Also ADORE the ankle boots. They match the belt which I find adorable.  

Finally, we have a blink and you’ll miss it look

Unfortunately, can’t see what she wears for bottoms + shoes. But she wears a grey turtleneck with what looks to be a black skirt but could absolutely be her apron as well. Decisions, decisions. She’s also wearing a single gold ring, a few brightly coloured bracelets and a pendant necklace. 

Having this look be over in SECONDS is one of the worst crimes Flash has done to me.

Synopsis: 3x22 - Canon Divergent - Iris West died in Barry Allen's arms. But that wasn't the end. He was a speedster for a reason, and he would bring her back.

Chapter 2 -

Harry Wells did not picture himself much as the sentimental, sympathetic, lean-on-your-shoulder type. He’d been one only for his wife before she passed, and for Jesse when she was really little, but not since then. The tension in their tumultuous relationship was his fault, and he knew that. But something had happened when his wife died, and he couldn’t remove the cold exterior that surrounded him entirely.

But he would try. For Barry. After all, he knew what it was like to lose the love of your life. And for Barry it had to be 10 times as hard because he’d known what would happen in advance and had fought so hard to prevent it.

He found him – surprisingly – at STAR Labs in the cortex. Not in the home he once shared with Iris. Not in a suit and tie preparing to go to the funeral. Not curled in a ball in the fetal position crying his eyes out.

He was at the board writing with a marker in a gray t-shirt and sweats.

“You’re not going to the funeral.”

It was a statement of fact, not a question.

Barry didn’t stop writing. He did shake his marker and scribble madly – apparently it had run out of juice. So, he tossed it across the floor and picked up another. Then he continued to write, moving across the board in speedster-fashion.

Harry approached him slowly.

“Allen.”

“What is it, Wells?” he finally answered. “I’m a little busy right now.”

“When’s the last time you showered?”

Barry’s hand stilled. He turned his head slightly in Harry’s direction.

“That’s what you want to ask me?”

Harry slid his hands into his pockets.

“It’s a start.”

Barry’s lips thinned, then turned back to the board.

“A couple days ago,” he admitted, not sounding overly concerned.

“Maybe you should before-”

“I’m not going to the-” He stopped himself, and Harry could hear the hitch in his throat. “I’m not going.”

Harry was close enough to see Barry’s hand shaking as he tried to grip the marker and inevitably had to set it down.

“Come on,” he urged. “I’ll have Cisco bring your clothes over. There’s a shower downstairs you can use. We’ll get to the cemetery just in time.”

“The cemetery.”

His voice sounded dull, numb, emotionless with an undercurrent of anger and frustration. No hint of sadness, and Harry knew that wasn’t because he wasn’t absolutely distraught. It was because giving into that emotion would mean admitting defeat, admitting she was really gone, and that he would have to live the rest of his life without her.

“What are you thinking, Allen?” he asked, holding his breath for a beat, preparing for the young man to turn around suddenly and snap at him, anger in his eyes, fuming like a fire-breathing dragon.

But that wasn’t what happened. He spoke softly with no anger, and when he did turn around there was a determination in his eyes that was impossible to ignore.

“I’m going back.”

Harry frowned, though his heart told him there was no need for confusion. He knew exactly what Barry was referring to.

“Going back? Going back to…where?”

“Not where. When.”

Harry took a step back.

“Time travel.”

Barry finally turned to look at him.

“It’s the only way to save her.”

“Iris is gone.”

“She doesn’t have to stay gone.”

“Allen.”

“I just have to go back to the right time and-”

“What? Create time remnants? Didn’t future you say that wasn’t going to work out?”

“No. Not time remnants. Changing time.”

“You tried that too. Flashpoint, anyone?”

Barry’s jaw locked.

“I won’t repeat past mistakes. Flashpoint didn’t work because I was trying to change a fixed point. But there are other events, equally crucial ones that aren’t fixed, and if I change them, I can make it better. I can save her life.”

Harry just stared, trying to wrap his head around the idiocy that Barry was focused entirely on.

“Joe and Wally are waiting. Savitar’s gone. For now. Who knows where? And Killer Frost with him. Today is the day to mourn, and tomorrow we defeat the bad guys. We need you here as the Flash, not off in time making things worse.”

“Worse?!” Barry boomed, his voice rising. “How could they possibly be worse than Iris dying?!”

Harry held up his hands, trying to fend him off and get his breathing to slow down, to regulate back to normal.

“How about Joe dying? Or Wally? How about Cisco? Who just narrowly escaped from his best friend trying to kill him? What if he actually died? Could you take that more? Would it be easier to grieve?”

“Yes!” His eyes blazed. “Yes, it would.”

Harry pursed his lips.

“It’s not fair what happened, Barry. But it’s not your fault either.”

“Not my fault? Savitar is me. He exists because of my choice to create Flashpoint.”

“And so you go and create another one? Think, Allen, think!”

But Barry wasn’t thinking about the consequences or listening at all anymore.

“Flashpoint… Not undoing it, I’ve tried that before, didn’t work, there were still too many changes. So if I go further back. What made me do Flashpoint?” He started to pace and then returned to the board and started to write again, ignoring Harry’s ranting completely. “Zoom killing my dad made me do Flashpoint. So, if I stop that…how far back would I have to…” He scribbled some more, listing events that led up to the death of his father when he finally reached the conclusion he’d been searching for. The event that brought Zoom to Earth-1.

“The singularity. I have to prevent it.”

He turned around, almost colliding with the man practically pulling his hair out at the brick wall he was trying to communicate with.

“I got it. I’m gonna save her.”

“Barry, no, don’t you, Barry, Ba-”

But it was too late. Barry ignited his super speed and sped out of the cortex, out of STAR Labs, down the street until the portal into the speed force opened, and he lunged inside.

Images passed before him as he focused. He saw his dad again, and he saw Zoom. He saw memories with the team, with Patty, with Iris. He saw Ronnie and Eddie’s death.

“Just a little farther…”

Then he burst forth, tumbling out onto the street in his suit.

“Hey, Flash!” a stranger called out. “Nice new emblem. The white really makes it pop.”

Barry looked down, and then back up.

“Thanks.”

Then he sped away, into STAR Labs, barely escaping the notice of everyone there. It was quite the crowded bunch with everyone there, awaiting the fate of Eobard Thawne. But Barry only had to find one person.

Himself.
