Things to notice at your campus' pro-Palestine protest
A\N: I'll try to keep this concise as people here ignore long posts, and I've talked about most of these issues in the past.People here will believe the most outlandish claims about Jews, especially if they're Israelis. -Protect your Jewish friends. -Stop spreading blood libels and non credible images about this war. please check your sources.
Antisemitic rhetoric, blood libels and misinformation
I'm a secular Jew, but the amount of misinformation and antisemitism in those protests is just exhausting. At this point, people will believe anything about Jews Zionists.
2. Nazi- like rhetoric is making it's return Just replace the word "Zionist" with "Jew", and you'll get Nazi propaganda.. Examples: Pro- Palestine doing sieg heils in protets, describing Zionists as animals (pigs, rats, insects..), "Zionists control everything\the banks\the news", Zionists have "tentacles"...
STOP CALLING JEWS NAZIS! What is wrong with you people?? 3. Revisionism- rewriting history to fit the Anti-Zionist narrative. Check what is being said, in a neutral source as people are apparently now editing Wikipedia articles about Jewish holidays and history. PLEASE- stop trying to correct us and teach us about our own history, you're wrong 99% of the time. We're constantly being accused of revisionism, while the opposite is true...We're constantly asked to cite our sources and show "proof", while the source is simply our personal experience, our family's history.
4.Double Standarts I'll start with the best example: It's not a war- it's a genocide. I get it , I don't like war either and I am literally living through this one.
Again- I'm not denying the deaths and definitely not supporting them. However, it is important to note that the numbers and stories are often exaggerated (either by heat of the moment or knowingly ). 5. Using Jewish culture against us
Many protest try to incorporate Jewish elements, and even "celebrate" Pesach (in some cases, they did this a week late lol)... However, all of this is simply Dog- whistling and a try to use our culture against us.
You can't do this and then harass Jews on campus, target Jewish events or prevent access from them. You're pro-Jewish when it's comfortable for you: You can not wish us a happy holiday or try to be inclusive, and then chant "from the river to sea" or spread misinformation...
Anti zionists are treating this like a trend: Just like the war in Ukraine and treatment of women in Iran. Only in this case, the sentiments quickly turned into Antisemitism in the guise of Anti Zionism.
Supporting Palestinian businesses, trying traditional food and apparel is all great- just don't erase or mock Jewish Culture while you're at it.
6. Look out for problematic Sources and stop telling Jews to "educate ourselves"
-Suddenly Western media (which is heavily biased against Israel and is inaccurate) isn't trustworthy. Do you want them to just call us all killers? is that it?
Ironically , when actual Israelis (like myself) tell you about our actual experiences and link credible sources, it's dismissed as propaganda.

Greta Thunberg screamed about lost childhood and how dare yous. She stole the focus from those who truely lost their childhood.
Nikta was only 14 when she got shot on the street. Because she was in a protet. In November 2019, in almost a week around 1500 were murdered on the streets of Iran. They were kids and teens among them. Nikta didn't have the time to talk about her lost childhood because she lost her life.
I wanna ask Greta Thunberg if she really did lose her childhood? While there are many kids, teens and young ones here in middle east and Iran losing their lives.
Remember them...
Go on world. Make a documentary about Greta.

Jack Ma is sending 1.8 million masks, thousands of COVID-19 test kits and protective gear to under-equipped Asian countries
Jack Ma is continuing with his earlier philanthropic efforts in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic by providing additional 1.8 million masks and thousands of test kits to Asian countries that are under-equipped to fight the pandemic. These countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, the Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Jack Ma has been on the front lines in the fight against coronavirus and was one of the first billionaire individuals to respond to the threat of what has now become a global pandemic. The CEO and his company have been fighting to preclude the spread of the virus, and have raised awareness and capital help for the cause.
In a tweet, Ma announced the donation of supplies to countries that are experiencing shortages.
The Alibaba Group founder is donating these through his Jack Ma Foundation. As a part of the donation, 1.8 million masks, some 210,000 test kits, 36K protetive suits along with ventilators and other medical equipment will be sent to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, the Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation, both under the supervision of Jack Ma, have chipped in the global fight against COVID-19. Before the recent announcement, the two organizations had sent aid to US, Italy, Japan, Iran etc. The CEO has also been active in the continent of Africa, where resources are scarce, expending thousands of testing kits and masks in the region.
Alibaba’s cloud business unit has also offered its artificial intelligence-powered technologies to provide data insights on the current coronavirus pandemic and speed up diagnosis. The platform is hoping to gain insight from lessons learnt during the course of the pandemic and use them to pick up on suspected patients and speed up diagnosis. The software, developed at the Damo research centre, has been tested successfully in Chinese hospitals for 5,000 patients. Moreover, the tool is reportedly well-equipped to diagnose COVID-19 quickly with 96% accuracy.

The Islamic “revolution” is western fueled nothing, you’re exactly the type who would have supported the US war on the Middle East to “save women” aka turn them into destitute & impoverished slaves to their husbands. Kill yourself in whatever fashion is easiest, hang yourself, shoot yourself in the mouth, drown yourself, eat glass, etc etc
Thank you for your message. I will take this as an educational opportunity.
First, what is taking place in Iran right now is NOT an "Islamic" revolution. It is a woman's revolution. The Islamic revolution happened in 1978-1979.
Second, I have never supported war on Iran. I lived through the Iran-Iraq war and as such, I would never wish war upon Iran or any other country for that matter because I actually understand the consequences of war. Majority of us who support the woman's revolution have openly said we do not want war with Iran. We have asked that western powers recall their diplomats, to impose targeted sanctions on the Islamic Republic, and to oust the Islamic Republic from UN women's commission. These requests are not akin to war and in fact, war would never solve the issue. If you understood or knew anything about Iranian people you would know that we are patriots - we would die for our country (evident by what the world is witnessing right now). So, if it is attacked by outsiders, we would sacrifice our lives to protect that land, not the Islamic Republic. War is not the answer.
Third, the fact that you see this entire revolution through a western lens itself is racist and Orientalist. This is not about the west, this is not about the US. This is about the people of Iran and their demands. It is the people of Iran who shall decide the destiny of Iran not the US or any other power, be the West or East. We don't need help from the US to fix our country or rise against the Islamic Republic. We Iranians are intelligent, strong and brave. We have agency. We don't need western powers to decide anything for us or to liberate our women. Our women are the bravest, most courageous women in the world. They are also highly educated. They don't need US help. They don't need "saving" - they're doing it themselves. And that is why this is called a woman's revolution. Also, none of our requests are tantamount to asking the US to "save [our] women" because as I said, our women are saving themselves and they don't need anyone else to tell them what to do.
Fourth, it is the Islamic Republic who has made women "destitute". Women are being sexually assaulted in prisons by the Islamic Republic. You can read all about it here. Iranian women are rising against the Islamic Republic to free themselves of 44 years of oppression and torture.
Fifth, the Iranian people are not "killing themselves in whatever fashion is easiest". It is the Islamic Republic who is murdering them. 475 have been murdered since the start of the revolution, 44 of them children (under 18). Mohsen Shekari is the first protestor to have been officially executed in connection with the revolution. So I repeat, we are not the ones "hanging" ourselves; it is the Islamic Republic who is doing the hanging (literally).
While I believe everyone is entitled to voice their opinion, there is a difference between facts and fiction. And what you have proclaimed here is nothing more than delusions perpetuated by the Islamic Republic and its supporters to oppress and repress the people of Iran, to threaten them into silence all to maintain its power and economic strangulation over Iran.
Let me end with this - We shall not be silenced, we shall no longer be afraid. Our women, men and children have been raped, brutalized and murdered for 44 years. The time has come for the Islamic Republic to go and they shall go by the hands of the Iranian people. And no one except us will decide our fate and our future. Iran belongs to us, not the Islamic Republic. We do not see this revolution through an Orientalist lens; we do not need western permission to rid ourselves from the Islamic Republic. We are Iran because Iran is its people. The end will come and Iran will be free by the hands of its people.
#قسم به خون یاران ایستاده ایم تا پایان
#We swear by the blood of our compatriots that we will stand until the end

In memory of Majidreza
Tumblr media
Majidreza Rahnavard was executed with a Broken/burnt/wounded hand. The Islamic Republic broke his arm. That same arm had a tattoo of the “Lion and the Sun”. This motif, which illustrates ancient and modern Iranian traditions, became a popular symbol in Iran in the 12th century and was an element in Iran’s national flag until the 1979 Islamic Revolution. It has become a symbol of opposition to the Islamic Republic regime.
Even though they broke his arm and hung him, his memory will remain and in his name, we will continue our fight. The people’s rage and anger has not subsided; with each death, it increases.
Majidreza will be remembered and as we go into the holiday season, we should remember that his family is not fortunate enough to celebrate. That millions are mourning and still need our help and our voice.

In this video, a relative of Fereydoon Mahmoodi, a protestor who died in the recent protests, speaks at his funeral. He says “I want all the fathers and mothers of Iran to support their children. Join them in the streets. I mainly see young people in the streets. Please don’t stay at home. Join them, help and support them so that they don’t make mistakes. Something must come out of these protests. Something positive has to come out of these protests, it should be successful. Don’t be unimaginative.”
