New stars in Indian cricket
Tumblr media
In the 17 matches of IPL, India got two future stars, one a bowling sensation, the other a batting threat. Mayank Yadav and Angkrish Raghuvanshi have got two stars in IPL 2024. The talent between these two has been shown in the IPL. Due to this, these two are being called the future stars of Indian cricket.
Talk by Mayank Yadav:
From Rian Parag to Abhishek Sharma, IPL has produced many good Indian players. But at this moment, Mayank Yadav and Angkrish Raghuvanshi are the talk of the town. Mayank Yadav is playing for Lucknow Super Giants. He was picked up by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 20 lakh in 2023. But he got an opportunity in 2024 and made the most of it.
He played his first match in IPL 2024 against Punjab Kings. In it, 3 big batsmen have been sent back after giving 27 runs in 4 overs. In this match he surprised everyone by bowling at a speed of 155.8 km per hour. He then bowled at 156.7 km per hour against RCB. Players like Jonny Bairstow, Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Greene have been stunned by his bowling. Now Mayank has taken 6 wickets in 2 matches in IPL 2024 so he is in contention for Purple Cap.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): A Deep Dive into Their Playoff History
Tumblr media
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is one of the most iconic franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite their popularity and star-studded lineups over the years, RCB has had a complicated journey in the IPL. The franchise is known for its explosive performances and dedicated fanbase, but the elusive IPL trophy has remained just out of reach. A common question fans often ask is, "How many times has RCB qualified for the playoffs?" The answer is that RCB has made it to the playoffs nine times as of 2024. However, their performance in the finals has been less than fortunate, as they have reached the finals three times but are yet to win the championship.
RCB’s Journey to the Playoffs: An Overview
RCB has had a roller-coaster history when it comes to qualifying for the IPL playoffs. Despite a strong batting lineup and some of the most iconic players in the IPL, the team has struggled with consistency. Let’s break down their playoff appearances season by season:
2009: After a disappointing start in 2008, RCB found their rhythm in the 2009 season. Anil Kumble led the team to their first playoff and eventually to the final, where they faced the Deccan Chargers. Despite a spirited effort, RCB lost the final. However, this marked the beginning of their journey as one of the top contenders in the IPL.
2010: In the 2010 season, RCB maintained their competitive form and once again reached the playoffs. However, their journey ended in the semi-finals, where they were eliminated by the Mumbai Indians. Although they didn’t make it to the final, RCB proved they were a force to be reckoned with.
2011: The 2011 season was a golden opportunity for RCB. They topped the points table, largely thanks to the power-hitting of Chris Gayle, who was in sensational form. RCB reached the final for the second time but fell short, losing to the Chennai Super Kings. It was another heart-breaking defeat, as they missed out on the trophy despite a stellar season.
2015: After a few seasons of inconsistency, RCB bounced back in 2015, reaching the playoffs again. With Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Mitchell Starc in their ranks, RCB looked strong but were eliminated in the semi-finals by Chennai Super Kings. It was another close call, but the wait for their first title continued.
2016: The 2016 IPL season was RCB’s best chance at clinching their maiden title. Virat Kohli was in sensational form, scoring a record 973 runs with four centuries. RCB reached their third final, but despite being favorites, they were beaten by Sunrisers Hyderabad. The loss added to their tally of missed opportunities, as the title continued to evade them.
2020: After a four-year playoff drought, RCB made a comeback in 2020 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Although they had moments of brilliance, they were knocked out in the eliminator by Sunrisers Hyderabad. The season ended in disappointment, but RCB’s return to the playoffs was a positive sign.
2021: RCB secured a playoff spot for the second consecutive year in 2021. With consistent performances throughout the season, hopes were high. However, they were once again eliminated in the eliminator, this time by Kolkata Knight Riders. Despite the loss, RCB showed they were building a consistent, competitive team.
2022: In 2022, RCB made it to the playoffs for the third straight season. They won the eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants but were defeated by Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier. While the wait for an IPL title continued, RCB’s consistency in reaching the playoffs was becoming a hallmark of the team.
2024: In the 2024 IPL season, under the leadership of Faf du Plessis, RCB qualified for the playoffs once again. Although they put up a strong fight, they were unable to make it to the final. With nine playoff appearances, RCB has consistently been among the top teams, but the elusive IPL trophy remains a distant dream.
How Many Times Has RCB Qualified for the Final?
In addition to asking, "How many times has RCB qualified for the playoffs?", another common question is how many times they’ve reached the final. RCB has made it to the IPL final on three occasions: 2009, 2011, and 2016. Unfortunately, RCB has lost all three finals.
2009 Final: RCB’s first final appearance came in 2009, where they faced Deccan Chargers. Despite a strong run to the final, they couldn’t cross the line and finished as runners-up.
2011 Final: RCB was in prime form in 2011, largely due to Chris Gayle’s exceptional performances. They finished at the top of the points table and reached the final. However, Chennai Super Kings outplayed them, handing RCB their second final defeat.
2016 Final: The 2016 season is often remembered for Virat Kohli’s record-breaking run-scoring spree. RCB looked destined to win their first IPL title, but Sunrisers Hyderabad had other plans, defeating them in the final and leaving RCB without a trophy for the third time.
Challenges Faced by RCB in Playoff Matches
RCB’s struggle in the playoffs can be attributed to several factors. Despite having some of the most explosive players in the league, the team has often faltered at crucial moments. Here are some of the challenges RCB has faced in their playoff runs:
Inconsistent Bowling Lineup: One of RCB’s primary weaknesses over the years has been their bowling attack. While their batting, led by stars like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle, has often been their strength, their bowling has lacked consistency, especially in the death overs.
Over-Reliance on Key Players: RCB has frequently relied on individual brilliance to carry them through matches. While players like Kohli and de Villiers have delivered spectacular performances, this dependence has often left the team vulnerable when these stars fail to fire.
Pressure of Knockout Matches: RCB has struggled to handle the pressure in high-stakes knockout matches. Whether it’s nerves or strategic missteps, they have often underperformed in finals and eliminators. Building a mentally resilient team is essential for RCB to go all the way.
What Lies Ahead for RCB?
RCB’s repeated playoff appearances show they are always in the mix, but winning the IPL title remains the ultimate goal. For them to break the jinx and finally claim the trophy, a few key factors will be crucial:
Building a Balanced Squad: RCB needs to focus on assembling a well-rounded team with depth in both batting and bowling. Strengthening their bowling lineup, especially in the death overs, will be critical.
Developing Young Talent: Investing in young players, especially bowlers, will add depth to the team and allow RCB to be more consistent. Nurturing talent will help them avoid over-reliance on a few star players.
Mental Strength in Big Games: RCB’s history in knockout games shows a pattern of faltering under pressure. Addressing this issue and building a mentally resilient squad will increase their chances of finally lifting the IPL trophy.

Conclusion
So, how many times has RCB qualified for the playoffs? The answer is nine times. Despite their numerous playoff appearances, RCB is still in search of their first IPL title. With a strong fan base and a competitive squad, RCB remains one of the most exciting teams in the IPL. As they continue to build and improve, fans hope that the long-awaited IPL title will soon come their way.

okay, now I'm excited to see how the IPL auction works out in the Omegaverse! 😈
Do omegas have a higher base price than alphas? Or vice versa? Irl, players are allowed to choose a base price for themselves while signing up for the auction, but it's not the same for everyone, and generally, players who are regulars in their international squads, and have remarkable records, have a base price of 2 crores, while other, less famous players have a lower base price.
In Omegaverse, would it be feasible for omegas to completely belong to the franchise that bought them for the specific ipl duration? Like, during the IPL , VK belongs to RCB, and the RCB owner, management and team alphas control his movements. Oooh, if omegas belong to their franchise owners, during the IPL, then I can see it being a part of the omega's contract that if the team owner, any management alpha, or playing alpha wishes to sleep with the omega, then they have to comply with the alpha's wishes. This clause is rendered inapplicable if and only if the omega is already bonded. Thoughts? 🤔 It would make sense then that omegas command a higher base price than alphas, and are more prone to triggering bidding wars in the auction, because whichever team gets the omega gets to sleep with them too. So that's why Starcy, who's an omega gets bought for nearly 25 crores in the 2024 auction.
Also, irl there are stipulations about the retentions and releases of every IPL franchise, like you can retain only a certain number of foreign players, because you are only allowed eight overseas players in your squad, and four in the playing 11. So I can see this rule being extended to omegas, like you can pick a certain number of omegas in the squad or playing 11, and once a certain season is up, you can't retain all the omegas you bought at the auction, you can keep only one or two and release the remaining ones. Also, while irl, players are allowed to opt out of an IPL season even if they are retained by their franchise (player contracts generally run for one year, but the franchise can opt to extend them to 2 or 3 years), but in Omegaverse, I can see omegas specifically not being allowed to opt out of an IPL until their contracts end. They're allowed to do so only if they are injured.
It’s an interesting idea, but I have a similar thing where omegas are owned by their cricket boards if unbonded, so it would actually come down to the cricket boards to have their say on behalf of the omega.
Some IPL teams might do deals with international boards for access to their borrowed omegas but it’s likely they’ll be lots of clauses to protect from bonding/using omegas without those boards being highly financially reimbursed.
Probably likely that each omega gets a representative from their cricket board to travel with them.
Also on Starcy - he bonds in 2016, and although the CA bets are murky he’d be seen as bonded by the letter of the law, so would be treated as such in a franchise

Virat Kohli Continues With Blockbuster Performances In Big Tournaments, Encouraging Signs For India Ahead Of T20 WC
Following the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the biggest positive for the franchise and Team India is the form of batter Virat Kohli, who reinvented himself with a more attacking gameplay, especially against spin and once again delivered in a big tournament.
After 15 matches, Virat has ended his IPL campaign as the Orange Cap holder for the most runs in the season. He has scored 741 runs at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.69, with a century and five half-centuries. His best score is 113*.
What stands out is his strike rate of 154.69, his best-ever in an IPL season and the total of 38 sixes that he has hit, equalling his six-tally of 2016 IPL in which he had blasted 973 runs in 16 matches with four centuries and seven fifties at an average of 81.08 and a strike rate of over 152.
Heading into the ICC T20 World Cup, Virat is the most in-form player in the national side and him playing all games is a no brainer. In the 2023 season of the IPL, he scored 639 runs in 14 matches at an average of 53.25 and a strike rate of 139.82, with two centuries and six fifties. His best score was 101*.
Combining his statistics across both seasons, he has scored 1,380 runs in 29 innings at an average of 57.50 and a strike rate of 147.43, with three centuries and 11 fifties, best score of 113*. This makes him the most consistent batter across both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, which he has played after India's loss to England in the ICC T20 WC 2022 semifinal by ten wickets, after which, India moved on to youngsters. Virat was only recalled for the series against Afghanistan this year in January, where he scored 29 and 0 in two games.
Virat has also been magnificent for India across all big tournaments, ever since he returned from a break back in August 2022 during the Asia Cup. He had taken a break after months of poor, inconsistent returns with the bat and made an immediate impact in the Asia Cup, scoring 276 runs in five games at an average of 92.00, with a century, two fifties and best score of 122*, then his first century in three years. He ended as the second-highest run-getter in the season.
The 35-year-old took his brilliant form to ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, which he kickstarted with an incredible 82* in 53 balls against Pakistan at a jam-packed Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in a tough 160-run chase. He stood tall at the top of the batting charts with 296 runs in six games, average of 98.66 and a strike rate of over 136. Four half-centuries came out of his bat, but he still could not take his team to the title.
After some fine performances across bilateral cricket, Virat proved his undeniable mettle in T20 cricket with 639 runs in IPL 2023, ending as the fourth-highest run-getter even though his side could not make it to the playoffs.
As the focus shifted towards the ODI World Cup in India that year, Virat scored a century in the Asia Cup against Pakistan, ending the tournament with 129 runs in three games at an average of 64.50 and the trophy in his hands.
The Cricket World Cup in India saw Virat delivering an all-time great campaign, smashing records everyday match-day, including breaking his idol Sachin Tendulkar's record of most runs in a single World Cup and 49 ODI tons. In 11 matches, he scored an unbelievable 765 runs at an average of 95.63, with three centuries and six fifties. His best score was 117, but even then, the gold went to Australia in the final.
Now with a 741-run IPL, Virat has proved himself as a batter to watch out for in the T20 World Cup. Across these big tournaments, he has made 2,846 runs at an average of 71.15, with eight centuries and 23 fifties. His best score has been 122*, which came against Pakistan in the Asia Cup last year.
Since his comeback in Asia Cup 2022, he has scored 3,007 runs in 59 international matches at an average of 58.96, with 10 centuries and 17 fifties. His best score is 186. Including his IPL numbers, he has made 4,387 runs in 88 matches and 92 innings, at an average of 58.49, with 13 centuries and 28 fifties.
With T20 WC coming up, Virat's numbers across all the format look encouraging and all hopes are on him to deliver a title-winning campaign for India.

IPL 2024 Qualifier 2: R Ashwin wary of ‘fearless’ SRH in tough ‘challenge’
R Ashwin said that RR have a tough challenge in hand when they face SRH in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 24 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On Wednesday, the Royals beat Faf du Plessis’ RCB by 4 wickets in the Eliminator and stayed alive in the competition.
Tumblr media
The Sunrisers will go into the game after losing to Shreyas Iyer’s KKR by 8 wickets in the Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, Ashwin did not wish to undermine the Sunrisers given their overall form in the ongoing edition of the T20 league.
“SRH have been the team to beat this time in the IPL. They have played fearless cricket and to take them on is going to be a challenge for us, but we will up our best performance,” Ashwin said in a video on IPL’s official website.
Sanju Samson, the RR skipper, in the meantime, admitted that his team was under a bit of pressure after going winless in their last 5 league matches. The captain said that he was overwhelmed to see how the Royals responded in crisis by showing guts and character.
Losing 4 out of 4 and then having the game in Guwahati definitely raised a lot of questions, a lot of doubts were coming up in the dressing room, but I am proud of the way we responded. We wanted to show some character. Each and every one in the team stepped up and I am very happy for them,” he added.
Against RCB, the Royals chased down a challenging target of 173 with 6 balls left in their innings. Ashwin won the Player of the Match award after he finished with figures of 4-0-19-2. Avesh Khan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Samson, Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer also chipped in with useful contributions.

The following is a look at the Playing XI predictions, head-to-head statistics, venue records, pitch, and weather updates for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 Eliminator match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Tumblr media
Match Preview
A match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers is taking place today in Bengaluru. On Wednesday, a crucial Indian Premier League eliminator will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The match will be between the high-flying Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), captained by Faf du Plessis, and the Rajasthan Royals, who are battling under the leadership of Sanju Samson.
At one point, it seemed as if the Royals were going to finish in first place in the league stage. However, after suffering a series of four losses and a washout in their last match against KKR, Sanju Samson's team ended up in third place, with Sunrisers Hyderabad being the team that finished ahead of them. In contrast, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has clawed its way back from the verge of elimination in a remarkable manner. Following a string of seven consecutive defeats in their first eight matches of the season, the team captained by Faf du Plessis went on an incredible run, and only a few nights ago, they eventually defeated the reigning champions, the Chennai Super Kings, to secure a spot in the playoffs.
RR vs RCB: Pitch Report
Narendra Modi Stadium's surface is fair and equal, designed to accommodate the abilities of all different kinds of players. There is a possibility that the wicket could begin to show signs of wear as the season comes to a close, which may provide the spinners with a little extra help.

Sunil Gavaskar Predicts One-Sided RCB vs RR IPL Eliminator, Says This Team "Will Walk All Over"
In a high-stakes IPL 2024 Eliminator match today, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Ahmedabad. The winner will advance to face SunRisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 on Friday, while the loser will be knocked out of the tournament. Despite being strong contenders a few weeks ago, the Rajasthan Royals now find themselves as underdogs, having lost four consecutive matches and having one game abandoned due to rain. In contrast, RCB has built significant momentum with six straight wins, making them a formidable opponent in the playoffs.
Tumblr media
Rajasthan Royals, the 2008 IPL champions, have struggled recently, with weaknesses in both their batting and bowling becoming apparent. The absence of Jos Buttler has significantly weakened their batting lineup, putting additional pressure on Yashasvi Jaiswal (348 runs), skipper Sanju Samson (504), and Riyan Parag (531) to deliver a strong performance.
Former Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar anticipates a potentially one-sided match. Speaking on Star Sports, Gavaskar praised RCB’s remarkable comeback, highlighting the leadership of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli as crucial to their success.
“What RCB has done is nothing short of phenomenal. Firstly, to believe that they can bounce back requires something special. You have to say that their leading players, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, have been key in encouraging the other players. Their extraordinary cricket has been crucial,” Gavaskar remarked.
Gavaskar expressed concerns about Rajasthan Royals’ recent form and lack of practice, drawing a parallel to Kolkata Knight Riders’ recent struggle after a long break. “Rajasthan has lost four-five matches and has not played their last game. They have been out of practice. Unless they do something special, like what KKR did yesterday despite not playing for 11 days, it could well turn out to be another one-sided game today. My fear is it will be another one-sided game where RCB will walk all over RR. I will be surprised if that does not happen,” he added.

Sunil Gavaskar Predicts RCB vs RR IPL Eliminator To Be One-sided, Says This Team "Will Walk All Over"
One team between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will get knocked out of the IPL 2024 on Wednesday. The two sides face off in the Eliminator in Ahmedabad. The winner will go on to face SunRisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 on Friday, while for the lose it will be the end of the road. If Rajasthan Royals are coming off four losses and a rained-off game, RCB have notched up six consecutive wins to sound a warning to their rivals that they mean business in the playoffs. RR, the 2008 IPL winners, suddenly find themselves as the underdogs, when a couple of weeks ago they were red-hot favourites.

When on song, Rajasthan Royals have shown they are unbeatable, but the last four games have exposed frailties in their batting and bowling. The exit of Jos Buttler has taken a lot of firepower out of their batting and a lot will depend on Yashasvi Jaiswal (348 runs), skipper Samson (504) and Riyan Parag (531) to halt the slide.
Former Indian cricket team batter Sunil Gavaskar said that it might be an one-sided contest.
"What RCB has done is nothing short of phenomenal. Firstly, to believe that they can bounce back. That requires something special. You have to say that their leading players Faf du Plessis, Virat KOhli, their senior players, they are the guys who are most encouraging the other players. Other team members can quickly get into a situation like , 'Oh we have lost everything'. Both of them have played extraordinary cricket," Sunil Gavaskar said on Star Sports.
"Rajasthan they have lost four-five matches. They have not played their last game as well. They have been out of practice. Unless they do something special that KKR did today, despite not playing for 11 days, it could well turn out be another one-sided game tomorrow. My fear is it will be another one sided game tomorrow, where the RCB will walk all over RR. I will be surprised if that does not happen."

The Chennai Super Kings, led by the legendary MS Dhoni, are known for their consistency and calm approach under pressure. In 2024, CSK will likely continue to rely on their tried-and-tested formula of experienced players combined with youthful exuberance. The core strategy revolves around a strong batting lineup, with seasoned campaigners like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali, supported by the finishing prowess of Dhoni. In the bowling department, Deepak Chahar’s ability to swing the ball and the spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner will be crucial. CSK's strategy will focus on building partnerships and using their spinners to control the middle overs.
2. Mumbai Indians (MI)
Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise in IPL history, will once again bank on their star-studded lineup and depth in both batting and bowling. Captain Rohit Sharma will aim to lead from the front, while Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan will look to provide quick runs. The inclusion of overseas stars like Kieron Pollard and Tim David will add firepower to their middle order. MI’s pace attack, spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult, will be a key component of their strategy, focusing on early breakthroughs and effective death bowling. Their all-rounders, particularly Hardik Pandya, will play a significant role in balancing the team.
3. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
With Virat Kohli stepping down as captain, RCB's strategy will undergo a subtle shift under the new leadership of Faf du Plessis. The batting order, featuring Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers, will aim to score aggressively, especially in the powerplay and death overs. RCB’s strategy will also involve utilizing their fast bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel to exploit early breakthroughs and maintain pressure throughout the innings. Spin will be vital, with Wanindu Hasaranga expected to be a game-changer in the middle overs.
4. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
KKR, under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, will focus on a balanced approach with a mix of youth and experience. The batting lineup will revolve around the aggressive starts by Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana, while the middle order will rely on Iyer’s stability and Andre Russell’s explosive hitting. KKR's strategy will heavily depend on their versatile bowling attack, featuring Pat Cummins' pace and Varun Chakravarthy's mystery spin. Their success will hinge on effective use of these bowlers to control the game's flow and restrict opposition scoring.
5. Delhi Capitals (DC)
The Delhi Capitals, led by Rishabh Pant, will aim to build on their recent successes. Their strategy will focus on a formidable top order featuring Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, and Pant himself. The batting depth, bolstered by all-rounders like Axar Patel, will be crucial. In bowling, the express pace of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada will be key to their plans, with spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin providing control in the middle overs. DC will likely focus on maintaining a high run rate while deploying their fast bowlers to make early inroads into the opposition's batting lineup.
6. Punjab Kings (PBKS)
Punjab Kings, led by Shikhar Dhawan, will aim for aggressive batting strategies. With the likes of Mayank Agarwal, Jonny Bairstow, and Liam Livingstone, PBKS will look to set or chase high targets. Their bowling strategy will revolve around the pace of Arshdeep Singh and the spin of Rahul Chahar. The focus will be on exploiting powerplay overs with aggressive bowling and ensuring tight overs during the middle phase to build pressure.
7. Rajasthan Royals (RR)
Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals will adopt a strategy of leveraging their top-heavy batting lineup, featuring Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Samson himself. Their approach will focus on quick starts and maintaining a high scoring rate. In the bowling department, RR will rely on the experience of Trent Boult and the spin wizardry of Yuzvendra Chahal to take wickets at crucial junctures. Their all-rounders will provide the necessary balance to both innings.
8. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
SRH, under the leadership of Kane Williamson, will emphasize a strong bowling strategy. Their pace attack, featuring Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umran Malik, will aim to dominate the powerplay and death overs. Spin options like Rashid Khan will be pivotal in controlling the middle overs. SRH’s batting strategy will focus on Williamson’s anchoring role, with power hitters like Nicholas Pooran providing the firepower towards the end.
9. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants will aim to make a mark with a balanced squad. The strategy will revolve around Rahul and Quinton de Kock providing strong starts, while all-rounders like Marcus Stoinis and Krunal Pandya add depth. Their bowling will focus on pace spearheaded by Mark Wood and spin from Ravi Bishnoi. LSG will aim to be flexible, adapting their plans according to the match situation.
10. Gujarat Titans (GT)
Gujarat Titans, captained by Hardik Pandya, will focus on all-round performance. The strategy will include explosive batting from Shubman Gill and David Miller, while Hardik himself will be crucial in both batting and bowling.
