I love the undeveloped mephones like 2G (mephone1) (I call them that because the iphone original is unofficially referred to as the iphone2G) and 3G and I really hope people take as many liberties and get creative with them in writing and fanfiction! They're such nothing characters that you can really give them any personality traits you want to make them mesh with 3GS in your own headcanons!!!

Personally I do like to stick to the 'canon' (from livestreams) of them being much less emotionally aware than 3GS, with 2G being similar to mecintosh if not a bit more snappy and smart (little bit of an ego due to being the first of their kind) and 3G being a bit softer with an affinity for wandering (3GS calls her 'fellow traveler' and while I think thats more a reference to her being his traveling partner and whatnot, i like the idea that she's just generally distracted and in her own head. I also like the parallel that could make to 4 and 3GS seeing some of her in him.)

IDK theres just so much fun to be had with the early mephones and their little space crew. I know Brian (?) has spoken on 4 being kind of a guiding figure to 3GS but everytime I think about how 3GS was the leader of his crew I imagine he'd take on a similar role with 4. Maybe they could be more like equals, to balance that out. 3GS is no longer a captain, and I'm sure he doesn't want to be now that he doesn't have to, and 4 definitely doesn't want to come off as controlling. Them being a team and helping each other with their weaknesses (4 telling 3GS about the world and helping him understand it, 3GS helping 4 through his fears and self-deprecation and trusting again with his more level-headed empathy, and since they're both more emotional models they can each help each other understand how to cope better and be people.)

GAAAH I LOVE YOUR HEADCANONS SO SO SO MUCCCHHH especially the thought of 3g being easily distracted and enjoying traveling and such… so joyous!!! Also I feel like 3gs and 4 definitely would try to see eachother as equal. The thought of neither of them really wanting to be the “guiding figure” makes so much sense and I love that…
