Cracked iPhone Back Got You Down? Repair It Like New at GR Phones!
Tumblr media
Is your beloved iPhone sporting an unsightly crack on its back? Fear not! You don’t have to replace your entire phone just because of a damaged back glass. Here at GR Phones, we specialize in repairing cracked iPhone back glass quickly and efficiently, saving you money and getting your phone back to looking its best.
Understanding iPhone Back Glass Repair
Before diving in, let’s explore the basics of iPhone back glass repair:
Cost: Depending on the iPhone model and the complexity of the phone repair costs can range from $90 to $290. Researching and comparing prices before committing to a repair service is always best.
Quality: The quality of the repair and the parts used will significantly impact the final cost. Ask the mobile phone repair shop about their technicians’ experience and the warranty offered on repairs.
Time: The repair time can vary from 1-3 hours depending on the job's complexity. Be sure to inquire about turnaround times before dropping off your phone.
Delivery: Many phone repair shops offer convenient pick-up and delivery services, allowing you to repair your phone without leaving home.
Finding the Right Repair Shop for Your iPhone
Choosing a reputable repair shop is crucial for a successful outcome. Here are some tips to help you find the best one:
Ask Around: Recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues can be a great way to find trustworthy repair shops in your area.
Research Online: Read online reviews from past customers to get an idea of the shop’s reputation and service quality.
Check Certifications: Look for repair shops certified for iPhone repairs. This ensures they have the necessary skills and expertise.
High-Quality Parts: Insist on shops using only high-quality replacement parts to guarantee your phone functions flawlessly after repair.

Diagnose and Troubleshoot Potential iPhone Problems
Before jumping to repairs, it’s essential to diagnose the issue with your iPhone. Here’s how:
Identify the problem: Are there on-screen errors? Apps crashing unexpectedly? Note these issues as they might provide clues regarding the problem.
Check for software updates: Outdated software can sometimes cause problems. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
Reset your iPhone (as a last resort): If all else fails, a full reset might be necessary. However, back up your important data beforehand (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings).
Why Choose Repair Over Replacement?
Repairing your iPhone’s back glass offers several benefits:
Extend device lifespan: A cracked back can expose internal components to damage. A repair protects your phone’s hardware and extends its lifespan.
Improved aesthetics: A cracked back detracts from your iPhone’s look. Repairing it restores its original beauty and premium feel.
Save money: Replacing your entire iPhone is significantly more expensive than repairing its back glass.

Don’t let a cracked back glass ruin your iPhone experience! Let the skilled technicians at GR Phones restore your phone’s pristine look and functionality. àłƒâ€âž· Baby My Phone
Tumblr media
type: headcanons
listen to me yap about what phones i’d think twst characters would have.
2.2k words
Characters: NRC students
Tumblr media
╰┈➀ Riddle
Uses a landline.
╰┈➀ Ace
He uses an iPhone but it’s one of those broken, screen protector hanging off, yellow clear case iPhone 8s.
He still thinks his phone is better than an Android and refuses to switch.
His wallpaper is one of those with a massive Nike tick and a “just do it” in a neon red camouflage pattern.
He hasn’t changed it since he was 12.
-2/10
╰┈➀ Deuce
He has a Samsung for sure.
It’s not one of the most expensive ones like an S24 Ultra but it’s reliable.
He’s got a pretty average phone case. It’s navy blue and heavy-duty, making his phone practically indestructible.
His wallpaper is probably yellow with a cartoonish picture of a chick breaking out of an egg.
Pretty simple.
Distinguished taste for an equally distinguished gentleman.
9/10
╰┈➀ Trey
He has a Samsung S10.
I don’t know why, but he just does.
I can also see him using one of those grandpa wallet cases where he carries everything inside.
His phone case doubles as a purse with the bits and bobs he puts in there.
It’s literally a fanny pack that just happens to have space to hold a phone.
Need a napkin? Hold on, let him get it from his phone case real quick.
It’s really handy but a little ridiculous with the amount of stuff he carries in there.
The battery life is hammered thanks to the hours of temple run his siblings play on it whenever he goes home for holidays.
His wallpaper is probably a picture of his siblings, which is cute.
4/10.
Would be higher if it wasn’t for the silly wallet case.
╰┈➀ Cater
We’ve already seen his phone multiple times in game, so I don’t think I have much to say.
His wallpaper is bold, like the phone case he uses.
It’s not exactly ugly, but it definitely suits him.
It’s just not something most people would want to put on their phones.
He’s 100% an iPhone user but he’s the type that gets the new model that comes out every year.
Either that or he’s using one of his sister’s hand-me-downs that’s an iPhone 13. (just like me fr).
6/10
If it wasn’t for that peculiar phone case, I’d rate it higher.
╰┈➀ Leona
I can see him using a Samsung S24 Ultra.
He barely uses it, though.
Most of the time, he tosses the phone at his nephew to keep him distracted when he sees him at home.
Because of that, he’s got a home screen full of kids' mobile games like Talking Tom and Subway Surfers.
The phone’s got a small crack in the screen from when Cheka dropped it but it wasn’t a big deal so Leona never bothered to get it fixed or replaced.
He’s got a leopard print phone case and his wallpaper is a selfie Reggie took with him sleeping and set it on his lock screen that he never bothered to change.
7/10
Again, the phone case is a no from me.
╰┈➀ Ruggie
He uses a Samsung too.
It’s an older model, like an S10+.
It’s a gift from Leona that he tossed at Ruggie one day.
Ruggie is pretty grateful for it since he was wondering how he’d contact his grandmother back at home without a phone since he wouldn’t be able to get a durable one until a while of saving up.
He takes pretty good care of it and there’s no scratches or cracks.
His wallpaper matches the selfie of himself and Leona that he set as the latter’s lock screen.
He got himself a heavy-duty phone case just to make sure it doesn’t get damaged.
10/10.
Totally not biased.
╰┈➀ Jack
He’s an iPhone user, probably sporting an iPhone 12 Pro Max. You can’t blame him for needing a large phone when he’s got pretty big hands.
He uses a clear case that’s somehow got no yellowing to it and his phone is green. It’s got a pretty wrecked battery life thanks to the younger sibling x phone syndrome.
His little sister killed the battery life with her 500 cumulative hours on Roblox and Among Us.
He doesn’t really mind since he doesn’t use his phone more than like 4 times a day.
8/10
Pretty cool.
╰┈➀ Azul
A tasteful Samsung user.
He’s one of those people who thinks iPhones are a scam and refuses to buy into it, like the classy businessman he is.
(he just has no idea how to use one).
Idk if Merfolk have waterproof phones or just communicate with echolocation but let’s pretend that the fish people have phones too.
He sports a Samsung Z Flip5 in lavender. He also has a baby blue phone case with a little seashell on it.
The twins tease him about his cutesy design choice but he shrugs it off since he knows it looks good.
It’s a shame he rarely uses the phone when he’s not going to send emails, do schoolwork and post on the lounge’s social media, though.
He also watches food ASMR videos. His wallpaper is a picture of the sea in the usual daytime lighting.
10/10
Very nice
╰┈➀ Jade
Another Android Avenger using a Samsung S22 in sage green.
His phone is in pretty good condition.
Though, he’s got a few spots of soil trapped between his screen protector and the end of his phone case.
There’s only like a single, tiny crack on his screen protector for dropping it on the floor face first when in the Botanical Garden talking to his little plants.
Can’t really blame him since he looks up tutorials when handling new spores. His phone case is transparent with (you guessed it) a pattern of little mushrooms littered on the back.
His wallpaper is a pic of him and Floyd when they were in their first year at NRC. It’s a strangely cute phone for someone as shady as Jade.
7/10
Nice, but the mushrooms r kinda overkill.
╰┈➀ Floyd
His phone doesn’t have a single crack on it.
He’s someone who takes really good care of his stuff and has a bunch of screen protectors since he knows how prone he is to dropping and accidentally throwing his phone.
His battery is fried tho since he’s notorious for playing a bunch of those silly mobile games like Fill the Fridge or Crowd City.
When he isn’t tormenting people with his deadly hugs, he’s sat perched in a corner gargoyle style with his eyes glazed over as he plays Block Blast with a score of 10,000.
Floyd’s pretty diverse with his phone case and he changes it depending on how he feels that day. Most of the time, he goes for his pale green one with an eel drawing on it, like the bag he used during the Camp Vargas event.
His wallpaper is either matching with Jade’s or a random photo of the sea he took a few days ago.
10/10
Very cool
╰┈➀ Kalim
Gets the newly released iPhone every year.
He’s not that bad though, since he gives his old one to his sibling and they pass it on to the next sibling like One For All.
His phone has no cracks on it too. He makes sure to take good care of it since he knows it’s gonna be his younger sibling’s phone in about a year and he doesn’t want them to have to use a broken phone.
He’s just nice like that. His phone case is orange with little peach circles dotted all around the back.
He’s another notorious mobile gamer with his number 1 game being Where’s My Water. His lock screen is a particularly nice-looking spread from one of the many parties he’s had over at his dorm.
10/10
Kalim is the best
╰┈➀ Jamil
Humble Samsung S21 user.
He may or may have not opted for this brand out of spite after Kalim suggested he get an iPhone so they could easily AirDrop stuff to each other.
(Quick Share is better anyway)
Isn’t much of a mobile gamer but he’s found a second home on AITA communities on Reddit.
I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.
Jamil’s wallpaper is either something pretty like the sunset at his dorm or something silly like a selfie he took doing face masks with his sister.
As per sibling rules, however, he always makes sure to change his second lock screen any time he goes home.
She can’t know that he cares that much.
1000/10
Jamil favouritism.
╰┈➀ Vil
iPhone 15 pro max ultra mega sigma plus plus premium user.
Sometimes he has to record videos on his phone, so he needs one with the best camera and screen refresh rate possible.
It’s scary how he has no games on his phone except Wordscapes.
Believes screen time is terrible for your skin (is it?) and refuses to spend more than an hour on it outside of updating his different social media accounts.
His phone has no cracks and he hates greasy screens so best believe he’s got a glass cleaner wipe tucked into his pocket everywhere he goes.
His phone case is purple with a pop socket in the shape of a gold crown. His wallpaper is a picture of himself (ofc it is) from his favourite photoshoot.
6/10
Vil
╰┈➀ Rook
Samsung Soldier.
Rook uses a hefty Samsung Fold5.
Sometimes he needs a phone to do phone stuff and sometimes he needs a tablet to view a proper sized map of NRC for various uses I will not elaborate on for legal reasons.
When Vil takes away Epel’s phone, I imagine Rook allows Epel to use his phone to play Subway Surfers or Roblox.
Lives risky life and doesn’t use a case or a screen protector.
His phone somehow isn’t shattered especially after the billion times it’s fallen to the ground at the speed of light when he watches people from trees.
His lock screen is a Pinterest collage of Vil. 5/10
Vil
I refuse to elaborate
╰┈➀ Epel
Cracked Samsung S9.
Been using the same phone since he was 12 and refuses to let it go.
Anytime he falls, the phone disassembles and his battery goes flying.
He has to do a walk of shame each time to pick up his battery and put it back inside his phone.
Sometimes he stays up until 3 am playing COD mobile with Deuce and hides his phone under his pillow every time Vil opens his door to make sure the first years are asleep.
His wallpaper is a really cute selfie with him and the rest of the first year group. No phone case.
9/10
The battery thing is sadly relatable
╰┈➀ Idia
He uses a Samsung S24 Ultra.
Perfect mix of amazing performance as well as free rein to go into developer mode or download any 3rd party apps and modded games as much as he wishes.
Strongly believes Android is better.
When he isn’t raging at kids on Fortnite, he’s hidden in a corner of his room reading fanfic on AO3.
He will not tell a soul why his screen time shows that he has 6 hours every day on Samsung internet.
His phone case, I imagine would be a basic black with a little doodle of a cat on the back.
His wallpaper would be a pic of his PC setup when he thought it looked particularly cool.
10/10
Super techy.
╰┈➀ Ortho
He is the phone.
╰┈➀ Malleus
Uses a landline.
╰┈➀ Lilia
He has an iPhone 14 and no one can tell me it isn’t Kuromi-themed.
I’m talking lock screen, phone case, home screen, widgets, and icons.
It’s the black and pink/purple pallette that they both sport that makes my brain associate the two.
He’s got a few cracks and scratches from when he hangs upside down and his phone crashes to the ground like a missile.
One of his other lock screens is a pic of Silver when he was a baby and walking for the first time.
Don’t tell Silver, though.
8/10
Super cute.
╰┈➀ Silver
Lilia got him an iPhone 14 too so they could AirDrop things to each other and FaceTime every day for the year Lilia was at NRC without Silver.
Other than that, Silver rarely uses his phone.
His sleep timer is through the roof since he hibernates for most of the day.
He’s got a plain black phone case and everything on his phone is at default settings.
Including home and lock screens.
6/10
Very normal
╰┈➀ Sebek
Wanted to be cool like Malleus and have no phone since he does not wish to partake in the use of technology of human invention.
Instantly takes back that statement once he was out with the Diasomnia dorm and got lost in a marketplace.
Lilia and co had spent hours looking for him. After that, Lilia got him one of those “my first phone” gadgets for kids where the only contact numbers are emergency services and parents and the “parents” can easily access his location.
That way, they can prevent any accidents that creates their very own “Finding Sebek” franchise.
5/10
Very silly.

Genius
Summary:
After Lily breaks her iPhone, she finds herself at the Genius Bar on Valentines Day, and an old flame is there to help her in all things technology and romance.
read on A03
Marlene McKitten: babes you're missing out on blackberry margs!!
Lily Evans: I’m sorry! It was the only time I could schedule a time for my phone to get fixed!
Marlene McKitten: you just hate me, its okay, you can say it
Lily Evans: you’re a drama queen, Marlene McKinnon
Marlene McKitten: you love me anyways
find me a hot date at the apple store so I can get discounts!!
Lily Evans: if I find a hot guy he’s mine for the night
Marlene McKitten: further proof that you hate me
Lily Evans: I’m here.
Pray this doesn’t take five hours and I can come meet you for drinks.
Marlene McKitten: how hard will it be to replace a screen?
I bet I could do it myself with youtube and a little superglue
Lily did not reply back to her friend, she didn’t have the heart to tell Marlene that superglue and youtube weren’t the answer for everything. Even if superglue had proven effective at keeping Lily’s favorite mug together after it broke in the dishwasher.
Lily just couldn’t believe she was spending her free time at the Apple Store because she'd somehow cracked her phone screen. In all her years of owning a phone, of course it would be the most expensive phone she’d ever had that broke. Even her flimsy flip phone had been more sturdy than her iphone.
“Hi, are you here for an appointment?” A scrawny kid about her age asked, holding the iPad too close to his face as he approached her near the front doors.
Lily nodded quickly. “Yeah, Lily Evans, for a screen repair.”
“Gotcha.” The kid's nametag read ‘Peter,’ and he barely looked up at her as he typed away on his screen. “I checked you in; just go wait at the Genius Bar.”
“Thanks.”
Lily maneuvered around the cramped store, sighing all the while as she made her way to the Genius Bar. It was rather depressing to be alone on Valentine's Day, but it was almost extra disappointing that she’d had to skip lunch with her girlfriends to come here. Lily couldn’t believe she was missing out on the tacos at Casa Grande, a tradition that went all the way back to Uni. She nervously picked at the crack on her screen, most annoyed that she’d somehow forgotten to add the screen protector when she got her new case two months ago. Another sigh escaped her lips before she finally took a look at her surroundings.
There were three boys at the counter, each of them so different from the other. The first, on Lily’s left, was a bloke with a leather jacket, emitting a touch of emo metal head from his persona. The one on the right definitely looked like he belonged at the Genius Bar in the Apple Store, thanks to his perfectly pressed sweater vest and nicely combed hair. The man leaning against the table opposite Lily, typing into his iPad, was a sporty-looking bloke wearing slacks with a rumpled button-down shirt.
She thought to herself, Actually, no, that sporty bloke looks really familiar
 Oh.
It hit her like a freight train.
She couldn’t remember his name for the life of her, but he’d somehow gotten hotter in the year since they graduated from college. It’d been almost that much time since they’d danced at a party, stumbled up the stairs to his bedroom, and he’d fucked her on his bed. Not even a quick go. No, she had woken up in his bed to find his arms around her, her clothes all over the room, and her phone dead from going all night without a charger.
He’d been such a gentleman when he woke up. He had practically stumbled over his words when he realized she was there, in his bed, naked with him. They had both been drunk, so even he admitted it had probably been a bad idea. They’d parted ways an hour later, Lily promising that she’d be okay to walk back to her dorm, and he had let her go so she assumed he really hadn’t wanted anything more than a once go in the sheets.
More than once, she'd thought about this bloke, wondering what happened to him.
His black hair was in a mess of waves around his head, and he didn't look up from his iPad as she stared in shock. She didn’t know what she’d say to him if they did make eye contact. The last thing she’d said to him was ‘thanks for the sex’ which somehow grew more and more embarrassing the longer she sat here and recalled it. She kept picturing his naked body in that bed in the morning. What would she say if he looked up right now and she was there remembering the contours of his body?
Hi, I almost didn’t recognize you with your clothes on.
She’d save that gem for later.
Probably never.
Lily felt disappointed as he walked away without looking up, disappearing through a door that likely led to the back. Her heart slowed in her chest, just slightly, but she felt like her throat was drier than the desert. She cleared it twice, earning a look from the guy in the sweater-vest, but he just went back to his task at hand.
Since the other two men at the Genius Bar were preoccupied, she took that to mean she was going to have to wait for help. She checked her Tumblr, finding nothing of consequence, just some idiots in her ask box telling her to eat dirt and choke on it. A usual occurrence on her blog thanks to internet trolls with nothing better to do than hate strong women like Taylor Swift and Captain Marvel. Lily was fully convinced people just liked to find something to complain about. She tried really hard not to complain or take anything a bunch of internet ghosts said to heart. She scrolled through her favorite Taylor Swift blog and saw there had been a new song mashup released. She wished she had brought her headphones so she could at least listen to the music while she waited.
London Boy crossed with This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things would be absolutely disastrous and she was here for it. She reblogged it for later, then exited out of the app, settling for people watching instead.
Around her, couples were looking over new computers, AirPods, and various other electronics. All the girls wore really pretty dresses, and all the partners kept one firm arm around each other's waists. Lily’s dress was pretty too, and she played with the edges of the corset cut as she stared at the door through which the fit bloke had disappeared.
Had he spotted her and run? Did he remember her? Did he forget her? She wasn’t sure what would hurt her more, if he walked away because he saw her and remembered her, or if he walked away because he forgot about her.
Lily wasn’t a bragger, but she knew for a fact he had fun with her a year ago. She remembered enough of that night to know that he’d been really, really enjoying it. Not many men would get between her legs for her, and very few actually made her scream. No, he’d been one of two, and he’d been the best of all.
Lily crossed her legs, trying to ignore the heat gathering on her face (and in other places) as she recounted that night. Sadly, her body wasn’t listening to her imploring thoughts. She felt like a damn animal in heat, the way her entire body was strung up, waiting for his reappearance.
Beside her, the emo guy helping the old Lady change her voicemail sent her a sidelong glance randomly, and Lily felt a blush raise on her cheeks when his eyes grazed up and down her body as if he were checking her out. She didn’t drop his gaze, and instead offered him a smile. His gray eyes snapped back to the old lady and spoke to her in a smooth tone that didn’t seem the least bit flustered.
She looked down at her candy-colored nails, the pink already chipping from scrubbing her hands too much at work. The phone on the table in front of her buzzed with a text from her girls' chat. Marlene sent a photo of a plate of tacos in the shape of a heart. Lily smiled and opened her phone, hearting the photo. As she did so, the grandmother finished her session and walked away, leaving the emo kid free. Lily looked up from her phone quickly, expecting him to turn to her, but instead, he had his back turned to her as he talked into his headset.
“No, I won’t stall for you—Prongs! Don’t argue with me.” He sounded stressed, as if whoever was on the other end was ruining his life. “Then get out here, you idiot.”
Whoever was on the other end was clearly addressing the whole store through that headset, as Lily witnessed the sweater vest-wearing, scrawny boy, and the long-haired brunette nearby all turning to send looks in Emo’s direction with raised brows. Lily couldn’t help but feel as if they were all looking at her too, despite her not being privy to the conversation happening.
“Hi,” someone touched Lily’s shoulder from behind, making her turn in surprise.
A baby-faced woman with bubblegum-pink hair smiled kindly. “Have you been checked in?”
“Oh,” Lily blinked owlishly, feeling stupid for thinking everyone was looking at her. “Uhm, yes, Lily Evans? Screen repair?”
“Our screen repair guy is stuck on the phone with a customer in the back,” she said cheerily, “but he should be out soon.”
“Oh, there’s a guy?” Lily said in surprise. “I thought screen replacements were kinda a universal genius bar thing.”
“Oh, we can all do it,” The girl’s name tag told Lily her name was Tonks, “but someone called dibs already.”
“Dibs?” Lily didn’t miss that Emo kid was cackling as he typed something into his iPad.
“Did I say dibs?” Tonks put a finger on her lips. “I meant he was assigned to you by the boss.”
“Who’s the boss?”
“He is.”
Suddenly, the door behind them slammed open, and a body stumbled out quite dramatically. Lily perked up at the sight of the familiar form. Sporty boy was back! His black hair was even more wild around his head, as if he’d been running his fingers through it non-stop since he’d disappeared. His glasses were skewed too, but it only made him so much more attractive, to see how flustered he was.
Tonks peered around Lily’s shoulder, her pink hair falling into her eyes. “Smooth entrance, Potter.”
“Thanks for holding down the fort, Nymphadora,” Potter said. “I can take her from here.”
Lily’s eyes traced his tall form, realizing it had been a long time since she’d been able to admire it. When her gaze returned to his face, her eyes met brown orbs that looked delighted to know she’d been openly checking him out. Lily’s mouth opened, but no sound came out. She brushed nervously at her red curls, biting her lip as James waltzed over to her at the bar, leaning against it so he was only a foot or so away from her.
“Hi,” his voice was smooth, like an ASMR streamer. “I’m James Potter.”
“Hi,” she almost choked on her own spit. “Hi.”
James’ fingers trailed along the edge of the bar, casual yet deliberate, as he said, “I heard you rang for a genius?”
Lily’s mouth quivered when she heard Tonks sigh loudly. The emo guy slammed his palm against his head, as if James had embarrassed them all. Sweater vest physically gagged. James just kept smiling at her though, as if he could tell she was attracted to him regardless of his cheesy pickup lines. And it was true, she was.
“I heard you are the only one in this store who can help me,” Lily flirted, watching his eyes light up at the challenge. “I had no idea you were so important.”
“Me either, to be honest.” He placed his chin on his hand, supported by his elbow against the bar. “What was your name again?”
Lily tucked her hair behind her ear. “Lily Evans? We met about a year ago at a party.”
His eyes seemed to sparkle as he replied smoothly, “Oh, I remember how we met, it was just your name that escaped me last year.”
The blush was uncontrollable now as she reached out a hand for him to shake. “It’s nice to see you again.”
“You have no idea how nice it is to see you again.” James’ grin grew wider. “And on Valentine's Day, no less.”
"I know how to make an entrance." She managed weakly.
James' eyes were molten gold mixed with green flecks, "you sure do, especially in that dress."
“Get a room,” the guy in the sweater vest muttered.
“How about yours, Remus?” James shot back, a bite in his tone.
Remus pretended to be interested in his customer's macbook in response. When Lily looked back at James, she felt a punch to the gut as she saw nothing but pure lust in his eyes. She could practically pinpoint where his mind had dropped, thanks to his eyes staring at her breasts, which were practically popping out of the corset cut top of her dress.
“Like what you see?” She asked boldly.
"Yes." He cleared his throat, and her eyes dropped to his mouth when he licked his lip and then curled the edges up to smile confidently.
Hazel eyes.
His eyes were hazel, and she’d forgotten that, so now all her memories were being replayed with coy hazel eyes that undressed her without even trying. He wasn't even trying to hide it, especially not right now.
“Well, what can I help you with today?” James asked, breaking her concentration on his eyes.
Dinner. She thought desperately. A quick go in the back of the storage room. Instead she offered, “I think I cracked my phone screen.”
James looked down at the phone in question. Lily picked it up, popping off the blue protective case in one fluid motion, before handing it to him. She fiddled with the case as he turned the phone over in his hands once.
“And you’re sure it’s not just the screen protector?”
Lily shook her head no, “I tried to pull it off, twice, but couldn't get it, so I’m pretty sure I forgot to put the protection screen thing on when I got my new case.”
“Oh Lily,” James clucked his tongue, “always use protection.”
Oh, that was the wrong thing to say.
Her brain immediately fluttered into the pit of her stomach with ideas of all the things they could do with protection. God, she hadn’t been so turned on since the last time he’d gotten her into bed with him
only this time it was daylight and she hadn’t had a single thing to drink.
Pure thoughts, Lily Evans. She thought. He’s just a guy. A hot, cool, incredibly charming guy. Fuck it, I’m screwed.
James casually picked at her phone screen, seemingly ignoring the desire flickering in her eyes as he remarked, “The glass shouldn’t stick up like that; I think it’s just a screen protector.”
“I really don’t think–”
Watching in mortification, Lily winced as he used his thumbnail to pry at the glass. Suddenly, a sound of unsticking reached her ears as he removed a screen case from her phone's actual glass. Redness flooded her face for an entirely different reason. She’d been a total, utter, helpless idiot for bringing her phone here.
It hadn’t been broken at all.
“Oh my god,” she whispered, “Oh, no, no, no, no!! I am such an idiot.”
“No!” He quickly reassured her, “You’re not an idiot!”
Lily felt herself spiraling with embarrassment, realizing she just hadn’t pulled hard enough to separate the sticky tape from the glass. “I swear—I tried so hard—I thought it was the screen.”
His thumb brushed the side of her wrist in comfort, but instead of soothing her, it sent a wave of shame coursing through her stomach. “It’s an honest mistake; it was securely fastened.”
“Yeah,” she squeaked, noticing he had leaned closer over the counter, now mere inches from her face.
“Seriously,” he seemed so amused, and that only humiliated her further, “it’s fine, I won't even charge you.”
She didn’t know if she’d ever felt more stupid, and in front of the hottest guy she knew, too. “I’m really sorry for wasting your time.” He searched her face as if seeking something within it. Lily withdrew her hand from his shyly and then grabbed her phone. “I’ll just go, thank you, um, bye.”
Trying to escape the awkward situation, she hurried out, acutely aware of the stares from those around them who had witnessed the embarrassing exchange. She slipped her unprotected phone under the strap of her dress and brushed her hair behind her ears as she rushed to her car in the parking lot.
“Dumb, stupid, idiot.” she muttered over and over to herself, repeating the whole scene in her head. “How did you graduate college with a science degree, but you can’t even pull a fucking phone condom off.”
She reached her car in record time, the lingering sense of humiliation mingling with a cocktail of other emotions churning in her gut. Her plan now was simple: she would rendezvous with her friends at the taco place and immerse herself in a flight of margaritas. Maybe if she got intoxicated enough, she could erase this entire fiasco from her memory. As she finished flinging her bag onto the console of the passenger seat, she heard footsteps approaching from behind.
Turning abruptly, she was startled to find James from the Genius Bar standing there, a friendly smile gracing his features. “Hey, Lily.”
“Hi,” she managed, her voice high-pitched from her embarrassment.
HIs eyes dropped to the phone, precariously held between her pale skin and tiny spaghetti thick dress strap. “Why do girls stuff everything right there?”
Lily looked down at her phone and then back up to him, feigning tucking her hands into the folds of her dress skirt, “most girls clothes don’t have pockets–so we improvise.”
“Interesting.” He then asked promptly, “Did you know that I worked here?”
“No,” she swore, as the wind made her skirts gather around her legs, “I swear, I had no idea.”
A light flickered in his eyes, “that’s a shame.”
“Why a shame?”
“I was hoping you made up that entire thing about the glass cracking just to talk to me.” He grinned. “But you genuinely thought it was broken, didn’t you?”
“You were hoping I was lying?” Lily blinked owlishly at him, “really?”
He lifted a lunchbox in his hand, smiling awkwardly. “I only have an hour for lunch; why don’t we catch up, and we can talk about what I was hoping for.”
“What?” Lily asked, not comprehending anything because her hormones were cheering excitedly.
“Sorry,” he tucked the lunchbox behind his back again, “did you not want to eat with me? I think I may have gotten mixed signals from you back in the store
”
“Eat with you?” she repeated. “ With you?”
“I know it’s been a while,” he was rambling, “I know we aren’t even like–friends–but you showed up and I–I nearly had a heart attack seeing you again. A heart attack in the good way–not a bad way. You are definitely good. All good. So good.”
Lily still had one hand on her car door, her chest rising and falling as she struggled to find the words. “I–I’m an idiot who can’t tell the difference between a screen cover and a phone screen
and you want to have lunch with me?”
James shrugged, “despite working at the genius bar–” Lily offered him a snort of amusement, “--I prefer idiots, don’t you?”
“You're not an idiot,” Lily said, motioning to all of him, “you’re–you’re that .”
“Eloquent,” his smile was so wide, his eyes crinkled at the edges. “But I’m 100% just as much an idiot as you.”
“How so?”
“I was an idiot for ever letting you go without a number to text you at.”
She felt her stomach erupt with pleasant butterflies. “What?”
James looked down at her body, then back up at her eyes with a coy wink. “Truthfully, I've been wondering where you disappeared to for a year now and would really like to catch up. I’d also really love your number, for your working phone, just in case you ever need a genius to fix it again. Is that okay?”
Lily felt like she might be dreaming. She pinched her arm. It hurt. Thank god. “This isn’t a joke, right?”
“No,” James walked forward, almost flush with her person now. “I do love a good joke, though.”
“Really?” He was so close, she could count the tiny freckles dotting his tan nose.
James' hand brushed her arm, sending shivers racing up it. “What’s the best book to read while eating breakfast?”
Lily felt a smile replacing her confused expression as she leaned up on her tiptoes, allowing his free hand to cup her chin. “What book?”
“Much Ado About Muffin.”
"You're right, you are an idiot." She rolled her eyes, but her tone was flirtatious, "a really, really cute idiot."
"They'll hire just about anyone to work the Genius Bar these days."
Lily didn’t wait anymore; she grabbed a fistful of his shirt and pulled him down, letting her lips muffle his laughter.
She could still feel his smile through the kiss though, even when he opened his mouth to taste her with an eager fever she had forgotten about. She kissed him back harder, especially when she heard his lunch bag fall to the ground near their feet, and both his hands grabbed hold of her long hair to keep her firmly attached. He tasted like mint gum, like he'd just been chewing it before coming to find her. Like he'd planned for this exact scenario to happen.
She almost swooned at the thought.
Finally, what felt like only a second later, he broke off the kiss. When her eyes opened, she saw nothing but him, and that only made her smile grow wider. His hands remained in her hair, but he tugged them forward to cup her cheeks, bringing the red strands with him.
“So,” he said somewhat breathlessly, “lunch date?”
"What'd you have in mind?"
"Calling out of work, taking you home, and ordering pizza for a long movie we won't watch."
Lily stepped forward, about to kiss him again for suggesting it, but then she felt her chunky heel step on something, and a resounding crack filled the air. Lily thought it might be the lunch bag he’d dropped, and for just a second she hoped, but whatever was under her foot was smaller. She looked down, face white, and all she saw were broken bits of glass under her heel. Her heart plummeted from its high as she stared down at her broken phone.
“I broke my phone,” she realized, lifting her foot to show a screen in tiny bits and pieces. “Oh my god, I really broke it this time.”
James untangled himself from her and leaned down, picking it up carefully, and they watched as it disintegrated into multiple pieces in his hand. His eyes lifted from the phone to her. She stared back at him. Lily fell against her car, pressing her hands into her hair as she processed her disbelief. James' mouth was partially open, like she'd just stunned him to silence.
“I can’t believe this!” she half laugh, half cried, while wiping her eyes. "I can't fucking believe this!"
Then, James doubled over with laughter, weeping from the irony of it all. Lily crossed one leg over the other as she laughed too, her head rolling back against her car. Passerby in the parking lot shared attempts like they were lunatics for laughing so hard. It only made them laugh harder.
"What am I going to do?" Lily cried, her side in stitches. "Oh god, I haven't even paid that phone off yet!"
"I can't believe you broke it!" James wiped the tears from his eyes, "oh my god, your luck!"
"Oh fuck," Lily pressed a hand to her forehead, "I don't know why I'm laughing, this is actually so bad, I need my phone for work."
James walked forward to plant a firm kiss on her mouth before reminding her, “Don’t worry, you know a genius who can fix it.”

I came across one of those posts that's like "tell me in the tags the HCs for your blorbo's phone/car/device/etc" and started talking about the Knights' Lodge AU boys, only to realise it was getting so long I might as well make my own post about it.
Les aka. Blue
Blue's phone is one of those slabs that's only barely made the transition to touch screen. The screen itself is so cracked it would likely fall apart completely if it wasn't all held in place by a very dubious screen protector. Tiny shards occasionally fall off along the edge.
The brightness is turned down to 0, regardless of the actual brightness of his surroundings; he knows this phone so well he could use it blind. He's had it for years, and if anyone asks he'll shrug and say he's just not gotten around to getting a new one yet, but the truth is that it was a gift from his aunt. The background is of the two of them leaning against her motorcycle. He's in his teens and is wearing her patched leather jacket. They're eating ice cream and grinning from ear to ear.
His lock screen, however, is something really generic — like the most plain thing you can imagine. A solid colour maybe, or one of those stock photos of turquoise water washing up on a beach. His password has been the same 8-digit code since he was twelve. It's the day he came out to his aunt: he had a minor breakdown about it, and she took him out for really greasy fast-food; when they got back to hers, she put on this black-and-white version of Frankenstein that was so bad it was funny. Blue's aunt is long gone, but he still keeps a copy of that movie for when he's feeling rough.
Clancey aka. Red
Red gets a new phone every couple of years. It's not that he's careless with it — he really isn't — it just seems to be a magnet for accidents: it fell off the bathroom shelf, directly into the toilet, during an all-nighter in uni; it slipped out of his backpack when walking home from school once, and a bus drove over it; he accidentally dropped it on concrete and the screen shattered.
At this point it's a bit of a running joke in the family.
His current phone has a lovely maroon leather case with numerous little charms dangling from the top of the spine. Most are from various fan artists, though a couple are little pearl-chains his half-sisters made for him in pre-school. These two pearl-chains have moved from one phone to the next, and he's always made sure the case has somewhere to attach them.
Irvine aka. Green
On the outside, Green's may seem like a little bit of an Apple person. He didn't mean to become one, and he's got a proper gaming laptop, an Xbox, and a Switch, but his phone is an iPhone, he mostly uses a Mac, and he's got an iPad laying about somewhere. He's even got an Apple Watch.
In his twenty-some years of existence, he's never had to worry about being short of technological devices: Mr Irvine is very pleased to be able to provide his only child with the latest in technological development. All Green has to do is say the word, and it'll be his. Not that Green needs all of these things. He would much rather spend Christmas Day with his dad, instead of opening yet another thing alone in front of the white Christmas tree with glitter and fairy lights pre-installed.
The thing is, Green doesn't really know his dad — and Mr Irvine doesn't really know his son. Mr Irvine wants to make sure Green is provided for, and Green is grateful for the sentiment. He keeps every single thing his dad has ever given him, because he would feel exceedingly guilty throwing any of them away.
Which is why he's never going to tell his dad that his favourite device is a small grey-and-white mini-MP3 player from 2005, that runs on batteries, has no Bluetooth options, and stores some 150–200 songs.
Dunn aka. Shadow
Much like Blue, Shadow's phone is old and cracked. Unlike Blue, Shadow would love to get a new one, he just can't afford it. The SIM-card is one of those cheap top-up ones with ridiculously expensive data. He keeps it in his coat pocket for emergencies (and to take blurry photos of his and Vio's cat), but otherwise uses Vio's phone if he has to make a call.
Not that Shadow has a lot of calls to make, outside of the occasional GP appointment when necessary, or the optician every couple of years to get his eyes checked and get a fresh batch of contact lenses, but he generally prefers dropping by in person.
Does Shadow feel insecure about the state of his phone? He'll laugh the question off, but feel viscerally that yes, he really is. He keeps trying to save up, but for one reason or another he never gets there. Usually it's because of his mum — she barely recognises him these days, but he still likes to get her nice gifts, and if that comes at the cost of a new phone, what is there to do? He just wants her to be happy.
Cor aka. Vio
Vio accepted a long time ago that 'my phone' really meant 'our phone'. If he really wanted to, he could probably make up a reason as to why he would need his job to provide a work phone, but honestly, he spends more than enough time staring at screens as it is, and when he goes home he's off and doesn't want to be pestered with texts or emails that can wait till the morning.
So he has one phone, and he's perfectly happy to share it with Shadow. It's really quite enjoyable to curl up on the sofa with Shadow after dinner, to play yet another iteration of Scrabble, Word Search, or Sudoku together.
It must also be said that the background — their hands intertwined, silver rings glittering in candle light — still makes his insides flutter warmly, especially when he looks up and catches Shadow admiring the ring Vio had spent so long choosing.

ran haitani x spoiled gf
nothing..just some ran headcanons
ran haitani who doesn’t even try to hide the fact that hes staring at you while being behind the wheel of his bugatti la voiture noire.
ran haitani whose eyes glance from the street infront of his eyes to you. he practically undress you with them anytime theres a red light as his left hand grips the steering wheel whilst his right hand caresses your plush thighs.
y/n who has to constantly remind ran to focus on the road as he keeps losing focus due to y/n quite literally seducing him without even knowing it.
y/n who constantly runs up ran’s bank card almost every day without a care in the world ? why should she care ? her boyfriend is ran haitani for fucks sake !!
y/n who puts her pretty feet painted white on ran’s dashboard as she mindlessly scrolls on instagram.
“rannn, do you think this would look good on me ?” you ask as you show the older haitani the most basic dress ever with a big smile plastered over your face.
“baby..that dress is so plain and simple for $2000.” he chuckles as he eyes the short black wool and silk dior dress on your cracked iphone 14 pro max. “and when did you crack your phone love ? i just bought it two months ago.”
you huff and pout as you lean back into the black seat of his luxury car. “so you’re saying it’d be ugly on me ?” you roll your eyes and continue, “and its the screen protector idiot.”
“i didnt say that love, anything looks good on you. i just dont think its worth that price.” ran mutters.
“whatever ran, im still going to buy it” you roll your eyes again while putting the dress in your cart, along with the DIOR ADDICT LIP GLOW OIL and some simple red bottom heels to match the dress.
ran haitani who would definitely buy his girlfriend skims okay ?
you never have any luck with skims drops, as if anyone ever does. so you find yourself constantly complaining to ran about how what you want is never in stock or everything being sold out before you can even get to it. honestly, you weren’t TELLING ran to buy you skims, you were just complaining about the unfortunate situation thats been happening for months and months with each drop.  so when you and ran haitani left another bonten meeting at a bonten owned club, he told you about how he had a surprise awaiting you at your shared penthouse.
a series of “rannnn, what is it ? will you tell me please ?” flooded his ears during the car ride home that he simply smiled and answered with a simple “you’ll see.”
uppon arrival you see two large delivery boxes sitting upon the doorstep and you question what it could be. ran carries them inside with ease. ran removes his shoes after taking the boxes inside and tells you to sit infront of him and open the packages. you look at him with a puzzled face but nonetheless, you open the first box.
anticipation kills you as you remove the loads of packing peanuts and tissue to finally see a clear bag that says “SKIMS” on it and you almost pass out.
“babeee” you look at him with puppydog eyes “did you really ? is all of this for me” you look at him as hes pouring some tequila into a clear glass with a cigarette between his lips. he looks at you, winks, and tells you to try everything on for him. of course, the first set you try on for him is the “fits everybody micro thong” and the “fits everybody micro triangle barlette.”
hi pookies, first post ig :3 this is the first “fanfic” i’ve written ig (?) lmk how i did and should i write a nsfw part 2 ? idk !! ˶ᔔ ᔕ ᔔ˶

Day 26: Android/Cyborg
“...and that’s why you’re just better off without them. Are you listening to me?”
“Yes, Dean.”
Crossing his arms, he looks at Cas in the eyes from across the kitchen table, “Then what’d I say?”
“You went on and on about why this phone is better than that phone. For the umpteenth time.”
Looking at the bill in front of him, he points to the upgrade that Castiel can now have, “You have an upgrade, Cas. You can pick any phone you want. Why in the hell will you stick with an Apple phone? You’ve got your pick from Android, my personal favorite, Google Pixel-”
“It’s just a phone, Dean.”
Sighing, Dean stares kind of disheartened at his portion of the bill, “I still have about three months with mine.”
“And you want to trade it in so bad already. The only thing wrong with yours is the screen.”
“Protector. Screen protector. But I wanna get a new one too,” Dean whines.
“I don’t even want an upgrade. There’s nothing wrong with my phone.”
“No. Except it’s starting to drop calls, your pictures are blurry when you send shit to me, your Messenger sucks hardcore-”
“I thought it was just a software update I needed.”
“That’s Apple products for ya. They don’t give a shit. They’re just like that N’Sync song, buy, buy, buy but with a U, not like, goodbye. Anyways, that’s how they getcha.”
Looking at his phone, Cas makes a quick phone call.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Gabriel.”
“Hi, Cassie!”
Sighing, he ignores his dreaded nickname from his older brother, “Gabriel, you have an Android phone, right?”
“Talking to you on it right now. Why?”
“Time for an upgrade-”
“Oh, sweet. Yeah. There’s a reason why I ditched my iPhone. It was-”
Cas is listening to hear what’s next in his sentence but when he looks at his screen, it’s on his wallpaper of him and Dean kissing with fireworks going on in the background. Dean looks at him from his plate of eggs and bacon, “Did he hang up?”
“I think.”
Nodding, Dean tears a piece of bacon, “Or did it drop the call? Again.”
Sighing, Cas searches for Gabriel’s number in his cell. Before he even has time to hit Call, Gabriel is calling him.
“Gabriel?”
“Why did you hang up on me? I was talking for a good two minutes until I realized I was talking to nobody!”
“His phone sucks!” Dean hollers from the back as he retrieves his second mug of coffee, “Talk some sense into your brother!”
“Dean, quiet. I’m on the phone.”
“Not for long”, Dean mutters under his breath.
Cas throws him a frown, “I will spit in your coffee, Dean.”
“Oh, please. You say that so much, it’s lost all threat.”
Shaking his head, he goes back to his phone only to be shown his wallpaper again. Exhaling hard, he looks at Dean who has a smug smile on his face.
“Dropped again, huh?” Dean fishes out his phone from his hotdog pants, “Wanna use mine? I bet you can stay on the phone with Gabe’s little ass longer.”
Squinting his eyes at his husband, Cas grabs the phone from his outstretched hand, “I hate you so much right now.”
“Lost meaning too,” Dean laughs as he shoves a forkful of eggs in his mouth.
When Cas goes into the next room to make his phone call, Dean takes Cas’ phone to try to make a call.
Calling Sam, he puts his phone to his ear.
“Hey, Cas. What did Dean do this time?”
“The fuck? That’s the reason he calls you all the time?”
“Oh. Hahaha, uh, hi Dean.”
“Uh-huh. He doesn’t call just to say hi and shit?”
“He does. About two days ago we were talking about fish tacos.”
“Fish tacos?”
“Yeah. If made just right, they are pretty good but nothing compare-”
“Compared to what? Beef? Steak? Hello? Sam?”
Looking at the screen, he knows the call dropped. Laughing out loud, “Cas! Your phone sucks more dick than you!”
When he comes back into the kitchen, he slides Dean’s phone to him.
“So what did you and your brother talk about? He agrees with me, huh? It’s time to switch, Babe.”
Dean slides him his phone back. Cas looks at it, sadly, “I’m sorry, ol’ gal. I think it’s time to let you go.”
“Get the new Samsung one, Cas. That one looks awesome.”
“I’m saying goodbye, Dean!”
Putting his hands up in surrender, Dean simply rolls his eyes, “I’m gonna go get dressed. We could hit up the AT&T store before we gotta go grocery shop.”
“Fine.”
When they get to the store, Sam calls Dean. As soon as he pulls his phone out of his pocket, he drops it just outside the store; having it smash onto the sidewalk curb grill and down its drain. Both Dean and Cas look at each other, mouths agape.
“What the fuck?! My phone!”
Going on his hands and knees, Dean tries to fish it out but his arms are too big. Leaving him, Cas goes inside the store. Coming back out, a woman shines her phone’s flashlight into the drain, “Let me help you, sir.”
“Thanks.”
When she pulls it out, the phone is completely cracked. Dean tries to turn it on but hears the water sloshing around inside.
“Good thing you’re at an AT&T store, right?” The woman nervously chuckles.
“I guess.”
Walking inside, he sees Cas eyeing the display phones, “Cas? I’m getting a new one too.”
“Perfect. I’ll get the newest Apple, my husband wants the newest Android.”
“What? We’ve been over this, Cas!”

What's kind of phone I think each Carmen Sandiego character has:
Carmen: That limited edition red iPhone that came out a few years ago. Because it is red, along with a red case with a red pop socket on the back that keeps.falling.off. It's also mysteriously in perfect condition?
Player: A Google Pixel because he doesn't want to conform to the status quo of phone brands and claims he made it 'hack proof'. He sticks by it and claims it's better than any iPhone or Samsung on the market, but it's really not. And he knows that, we all know that. And no phone case because he literally can't find one for it because no one has a Google Pixel. So why make phone cases for a phone no one has?
Shadowsan: They got him an iPhone 12 Pro, big enough for him to use and see the screen because he has to view it from a distance as, and I quote 'The phone lights make his eyes blurry.' It also had one of those wallet cases mums have on their phones. He left it behind when he went on his sabbatical and got a Nokia brick and an international sim plan just for calls.
Zack: The most disgusting, feral, warped, sticky, crusty and shattered iPhone 6 in white you have ever witnessed in history yet it works completely fine despite the glass you find lodged in your finger when you use it and the centre button that is just an empty hole to the motherboard. REFUSES to get a new one because he doesn't want to lose the headphone jack and claims that apple removing it in the first place was cash grab and he will have no part in it. And honestly dam right zack I am with you there my man stay strong King xx
Ivy: She has a custom made franken-phone that is made up of various parts from all brands across the board. Alot of the parts donated from Devineaux's pile of fallen soldiers that met their doom between the 18-24 months he was actively chasing Carmen/VILE before VILE fell. Literally a beast and has a military grade case that she also crafted which she had tested. It is literally military grade, she has a certificate and everything.
Julia: Currently, a Lavender Samsung Ultra 23 256gb storage. She got it mostly for the cool pen it comes with, and because it's lavender. She updates her phone model every 2 years and sells the latter for almost the same price she bought it for because she keeps it in pristine condition. She's only ever cracked a phone once and it shook Julia to her core. It looked horrific in her opinion, the hair line crack so bad it made her gag when she brushed her finger over it. So now she always has a nice, strong silicone pastel purple case and screen protector over her phone which she cleans regularly.
Chase: He went through 6-7 phones during the 18-24 months while chasing Carmen/VILE before VILE fell. Before then and now after, he had whatever the latest phone was the year he got it regardless of the brand, about every 2-4 years or until it kicked the bucket. During that 18-24 months, he'd walk into a phone store, ask for the latest thing, and be on his way. Most of them died in his care before he even had the chance to take the back plastic off. Now, he's in far fewer situations that indanger his life or phone. Or if he is, takes the moment to hand his phone and wallet to whoever is nearby for safe keeping because he really likes the new one Julia picked out for him (which is just the same model as hers but black). Julia also being the one who made him get a case. He had no idea that phones came with their own clothing options.
Chief: Only uses holograms. But has a landline??????????????
Zari: She once owned a black Samsung A20 with a yellowing clear case back in 2015 before she was declared missing at sea? That's all the information I can get on it my sources tried their best sorry.
Brunt: Doesn't need it because she can project her voice across vast distances. Get her a rolled TV guide and she can blast your message from one side of America to the other đŸ‡ș🇾 yeehaw and also because she's scared those 5g mega hd3g Max phone microwave rays will melt her brain if she gets one of those flat things and slaps it to her face like an genz zombie.
Bellum: Has 17 Ipads all with different cases on them.
Cleo: She has other people do that phone thing for her so she isn't sure what kind of phone she has and I don't know either.
Maelstrom: A telepathic link chip he had installed into his brain to connect to cell towers. It doesn't really work... Or do anything... But it's in there so.... Yeah?
Dash: A Samsung flip BECAUSE ITS JUST AS PRETENTIOUS AS HE IS and so he can snap it shut to prove a point. He's been through like 10 of them because he snaps them closed too slay-ily damaging it. No case because I have no idea how you'd even get a case for it?? Like it folds? I don't know.
Paper Star: Lives off grid.
Sheena: A white iPhone 11 with a gold trim case that has a huge crack down the front. The back glass is completely shattered, but it doesn't stop her from endlessly scrolling through those insta reels about reviewing different tanning lotion brands.
Crackle: An oily iPhone with the most humongous case you've ever seen. You could drop it and it would bounce around like a ping pong ball. The grease that covers the lens gives his selfies an air brushed vibe to them that he just loves.
Mimebomb: An invisible 1970s orange rotary phone.
Neal: That mystic purple conch shell with the pull string from that one spongebob episode that answered questions or something. You know what I'm talking about don't make me pull up a picture.
Topo and Chev: They share one phone so covered in stickers you can't even tell what kind it is but its probably an iPhone. It's filled with couples selfies and can only work when permanently charging so it's always connected to a power bank that is also covered in stickers. Ugh.

the thing i'm upset about with the screen protector thing is that now i feel like i can't go back anymore bc i got a discount under false pretences which is a scummy thing to do (even tho i did not do it on purpose) so i don't rly want to do that again. but that's the only place i know of where they still have screen protectors for iphone 11, don't charge like $30 for them and will install it for you while you wait at no extra charge. so like next time i need a new screen protector idk what i'll do lol

You might be asking why I am suddenly back, consistently, on this hell-site. I recently got an iPhone after I accidentally bricked my five year old Android by dunking it in a bowl of milk. Getting an iPhone was not my plan, but it was the only phone that was “free” and that I could walk out of the store with that day with an Otterbox case and a screen protector as I cannot be trusted to not accidentally yeet my phone into a bowl of milk.
Well how does this apply to you suddenly posting again? Good question
.and I hate to admit it but the tumblr app is more streamlined for iPhone than it is for Android. So looks like you’re stuck with me.

Tarooo! Gonna drop some asks from the ask game heheh!
🍀 đŸŒș and đŸŽ”!
Have a great day, buddy!
Hellooooooo smol! And no problem! I’ll answer it for ya! Fa’afetai tele lava, lo’u uso!
🍀 what is your comfort show/series and why is it your comfort show? How has it helped you?
Oh geez
it’s been a LONG time for me to remember that one show. I don’t quit remembering which one. For most of the shows/series has always been my favorite and it doesn’t help me learn SOMETHING. I just like watching it. If there ARE some parts that helps through it and it works! So sorry, I don’t actually remember which one are my favorite shows/series. There IS one but I can’t seem to remember.
đŸŒș what is the best gift someone has ever given you and why is it so important
An iPhone
I know it sounded silly but I really do like to have one for me to call and look through apps. And my mom bought it. So I’m being EXTRA careful and buying phone case and screen protector for it.
I’m sorry if it sounded
selfish? Or spoiled? I-I don’t know the word but I know it sounded negative but I really do appreciate of my mom buying me this. And I’m being REALLY careful with it. I love her so much!

So far no part of the sequel has been written on anything but my phone...why am I like this.
Tumblr media
Like imagine literally only writing on one of these things. Now imagine you've already written a full-ass novel on it. I'm actually very mildly worried that if I get a new phone (this one has battery problems due to age and I've had to glue the entire front panel back on...and the screen protector died so I took it off entirely) that I might somehow Lose My Motivation as if it's got anything at all to do with it.
And like, who cares, even if that ends up true for no reason and I can't write on any other devices (which is demonstrably untrue as I used to write on a fucking IBM 386!! And then a 486, and then a Pentium, because I got my family's hand-me-down computers and I'm old like this) it's still like...I can just use my old phone on wifi. It's whatever. I could write on it until the screen dies and it's fine. It'll probably still be an alarm clock anyway. I had a used iPhone that I traded art for once that I literally only ever used on wifi because I never got it a SIM card and it was kind of neat actually. Not my first rodeo.
But also I've got to convince myself that I don't need another Z Flip because the screen protector does really blow, even if everything else about it is cool and I love the form factor a lot. I mean look at it. It's basically a Game Boy Advance SP. I loved those guys. They were so good.
Tumblr media
(Let's be real though, if they're making purple Z Flip5s I'm gonna end up with another one, and they are, so...)

i will always and forever think the android vs apple war is retarded. i have an iphone. i have no screen protector and the dookiest case on it in my life. i have dropped it about 20 times and it has 2 scratches. my battery lasts for two days. my friend had an android phone. she would drop it the screen would go black and it would reset itself. sometimes it didnt turn on at all afterwards. apple has 3 cameras android has
.. 4 or 5. apple pictures are clear and non pixelated everywhere, every platform, android pictures are pixelated even with the brand new whatever the fuck just came out. android phones can support jailbroken games or emulators however you can also get a virus on androids. apple has built in antivirus software. you can also jailbreak an iphone. but do you know what these two phones have in common? they both suck and are both made so you buy one every other year. both are made by giant corporations who give no fucks about you or what kind of phone u choose. they both suck. people say androids are good because they have old ass androids. guarantee if you bought one of those 1000 dollar phones they have it’d have the exact same lifespan as an iphone. i’m going back to blackberry

đ‘”đ‘°đ‘źđ‘Żđ‘»đ‘č𝑬đ‘șđ‘» đ‘»đ‘šđ‘șđ‘Č đ‘¶đ‘”đ‘Ź
— a look at clem's mobile device & social media ( ft. kage, montez, candy, aranya, finley, dae-eun ).
Tumblr media
THE BASICS:
brand of phone:
apple iphone 14 pro max 1TBÂČ
color:
deep purple.
case:
phone case: plain, matte black. popsocket: a ghostface call me, visual here
locked or unlocked:
locked with both a passcode and face ID. face ID is the preferred method, of course, but her passcode is her mother's birthday in the order of DDMMYR ( so it's 230373 ).
wallpaper:
THIS piece of artwork that she finds very cute ( pastel panting of ghosts sitting on a grassy hill with a crescent moon, clouds, and rainbow in the sky ).
lockscreen:
THIS photo of dao, her cat ( siamese kitten sleeping on its back in her lap with view of adorable toe beans ).
Tumblr media
USAGE:
time spent on device:
it depends. on the days of her uploads, she's probably on it more than usual because of engagement. otherwise, she's only on it whenever she's reaching out to someone, when she's playing her games before trying to sleep, or she's looking up something and doesn't have her ipad or computer handy.
five most used apps:
spotify. kindle. webtoon. classic words. animal restaurant.
web tabs:
none are open. whenever she's done using one, she closes it.
last thing googled:
probably when she was looking for a new story, so something like japanese urban legends.
last text message received:
an update regarding a delivery of something she ordered for monty's upcoming birthday.
last voicemail:
probably a spam call and no, her voicemail is never full. she always cleans them out after listening to them, only saving the ones that are really special.
last thing on camera reel & what image was last saved:
last picture taken: THIS selfie. last image saved: THIS photo that she emailed to herself, which was taken for a previous concept to post on her company's instagram for httpfear. ( tw: fake blood ).
extra tidbits:
this is mainly just a section i wanted to add because these were things that came to me as i was doing this, but there was no real place to put them, so you're getting them here. as is true for her regular life, she keeps her phone very tidy and there is a place & reason for everything: all of her apps are organised in folders---e.g., daily, socials, entertainment, games, shopping, etc.---and she only has four folders on each page so the majority of her background is visible; like with her voicemails, she doesn't keep texts directly on her phone unless they're special and she cleans her call history regularly; if you're in her phone, trust she has you saved under a nickname, even if she doesn't ever address you using said nickname; she always closes both web tabs and apps on her phone the second she's finished using them; she is constantly sanatising it; physically CANNOT STAND having the red notification bubbles on anything and when some apps glitch and those things don't always go away immediately when they should is when you get to see angy clem; and she uses one of those privacy screen protectors so you have to be sitting at the right angle to see what she's doing.

SOCIAL MEDIA:
handles:
personal handles: dearclem. handles where she posts all podcast related things: BLKBoxStudios
instagram, latest post:

snapchat, latest sent:
Tumblr media
using the mini tripod she has when going on adventures, she took this photo and sent it to monty, rubbing it in that she has goodies and he doesn't 😌
dating apps:
doesn't partake in the thing, no. has no desire and people can be creepy.
spotify:
top three songs of '22: fall in lust ╱ EDEN, jiselle {xx}
❝ we should ride this wave, until the sun comes up baby kiss me harder, make me feel the rush i don't wanna be alone tonight, so why don't we just fall in lust.. ❞
boomerang ╱ the summer set {xx}
❝ let's pop champagne, fake like we're billionaires just you and me, ain't much but we don't care you look so good, i love when people stare you on my arm, tryna keep you there.. ❞
call me back ╱ chase atlantic {xx}
❝ if you get a minute, call me back i'm so lonely and you're the only one that knows me and if you're busy, then i understand it it's bad timing, and i'm probably gonna end up crying.. ❞
last listened to: killer on the drive home ╱ kaiyko {xx}
❝ stop your crying it's not the end of the world but no one listens to a quiet little girl i wanna talk about it, don't wanna shout about it left me alone made me the killer on the drive home.. ❞
tiktok:
she has the app downloaded, but that's only because she gets sent tiktoks and it's just easier to have it downloaded than not. it's never something she finds herself scrolling on.
facebook:
this is another social media app that she wants no part of. she's never had one, nor will she ever because she has no family to keep in contact with and all her friends are nearby.
others:
has youtube, pinterest, reddit, & tumblr.
youtube is where she posts the videos she creates of her two podcasts.
ADVICE PODCAST. HORROR PODCAST. ( tw: horror images, fake blood, creepy eye drawing?, knife ).
pinterest is mostly a private thing ( as in most of her boards are hidden ) because she pins things for aesthetic purposes regarding different ideas she has and may wish to explore in the future. the only boards that are public are her own personal board ( about herself and things she likes ) and a board she's created for the book series she's already published and within that board, each book has it's own section with things like how she pictures the main characters, their connection, the aesthetic of the location & mystery, etc. reddit is something she uses as a way of connecting with some of her listeners and giving them a place to post their own stories and things they may want her to read/cover because whereas she gets some of her inspiration from r/nosleep sometimes, she also likes involving her listeners and that's a wee bit easier to manage in comparison to emails, especially considering she does everything all on her own save for someone she has help her with the editing of her youtube vids. tumblr is where she posts writings, something like a diary of sorts ( think like inkskinned & sue zhao ), though it's completely anonymous and she'd likely throw herself into the void if anyone found out it was her.

Tripping and Falling. In Love? Or in the Rink?: That’s You?
A/N: O’Reilly is referring to Terry O’Reilly, who was known for fighting everyone in sight (including members of the crowd)
Simon regretted that he signed up for this. He was not doing very well, he had to admit, even if he hated to admit it. The practice of doing gymnastics, or ballet as Johnny had corrected him after he complained that he wasn’t cut out for this, and ice skating was something he couldn't understand. The toepick made it much more difficult.
"Riley, you're letting the thought of failing get in your way. You need to get rid of it. The worst that could happen is you fall. You're a stick, and worse than O'Reilly, you can walk it off." Johnny stated firmly, not trying to push too hard.
"I'm not like you, MacTavish. I don't think I'm cut out for...this." Simon gestured to the ground, upset that he even had to tell the coach. He furrowed his brows in anger that he couldn't get even get the spiral right on the first try. He couldn't just practice, he had to be good at it immediately. Johnny sighed as he got closer to the tall one. He rested a hand on one of his shoulders. He didn't squeeze it, he just rested it there. Like he was a concerned friend reaching out.  It was a feeling that Simon had never felt before.
"You need to stop that type of thinking, mate. It ain't going to lead you nowhere." Johnny encouraged, pulling out his phone to search through his photo app. Simon leaned over his shoulder to see past the privacy screen protector. Johnny scrolled past to around 2007, thankful that he bought the first iPhone so he could show embarrassing photos of himself. "Here's a photo of me from when I first started." It wasn't just...embarrassing, it was funny. His right leg managed to find its way over the left one like he became a pretzel. As his entire body was turned and twisted in its own, very odd, ways.
Simon snorted. "That's you?" He couldn't believe that the skilled and talented Johnny MacTavish who excelled in everything he did as of late managed to start out as a dork who had two left feet.
"In the flesh. It looks a little pixelated, sorry about that." Johnny apologized before shutting off his phone and shoving it back in his pocket. "My mohawk looks much better now, now that I think of it."
"You keep telling yourself that." Simon retorted.
