My favorite show of all time. Only 13 episodes in 1 season and it had action, real world building, felt so lived in, great acting, mostly great special effects, had many subplots and explored the human nature and humanity in a fun way that kept your attention. FOX doomed it and people would rather watch the same baking shows rehash the same thing indefinitely. I hate it here.

The things we could have had:

Dorian finally going nuts and hurting John and everyone else on his rampage — I'd like to think after 'Anna' gets to John and plays with him/leaves him broken and Dorian just snaps — and then John struggling to trust him again, Dorian struggling to trust himself, and dealing with the guilt tearing him up.

I'd like to think John was the one who brought Dorian out of his rage.

Civilians or other cops calling for Dorian to be decommissioned, Dorian asking for it to happen too, and John going ballistic on everyone.

John getting closer to Valerie. Seeing what she deals with as a chrome that's a big disappointment to her family. I like to think he reaches a point where he doesn't think he's good for her.

Her feeling and learning more about his prosthetic leg.

What is the wall? What's on the other side? Why is it so bad?

Another Dorian sneaks in as our Dorian and hurts John. John not trusting the real Dorian when he is found.

Who the heck was messing around in Dorian's head and why did they put seemingly useless footage in there?

I want a plot where Valerie has to get out from behind the desk and put herself on the line for a case. Cue her rising nerves and John giving her the confidence to stay cool.

Or a hostage case involving Valerie and John absolutely losing it.

The captain going on a date with that lawyer guy like go get it gurl

Us finding out why the captain and john have such a close relationship. Like there is history there (I headcanon that she saved him from the ambush that took his leg and was the one that was there when he finally woke fmor it and took him home) that I feel involves more than one big moment. I don't think it was ever romantic, I see far more mentor-student relationship.

Been really quiet this last month, figured I should deliver

My totally normal and not hyperfixating self decided to do something different for my next animatic [It technically counts as a PMV but the rough draft is an animatic lmao]. I've never been this meticulous with making doodles so it's gonna be a looong ride/silly

Genuinely don't know where to put them all once I'm done but it's gonna be a fun thing to have around.

At least 20 pure vanillas are gonna be snuch in my house all curled up in a pile of assets and backgrounds, speaking of...those are made traditionally too!! Here are the ones I've finished

These are made with watercolours and colored pencils, only seven of these are gonna be made in this way for my sake. The rest are all digital (since they're just not as detailed)

pros of executive dysfunction: yesterday I had an actual good day and got a couple things done that I've been meaning to for weeks; then today I woke up an hour early, unprompted, and had the energy to dance around my room for a bit and then find out how past tense works across the romance languages (why does no one else have the perfect tense? what's wrong with these people, don't they crave perfection), and because I mustered up some spoons the other day I actually have breakfast cereal so I have real food I can eat, and the combination of all these factors is leaving me somewhere just shy of euphoric

Sequ, I felt like you're best placed to answer me for this : how do I draw Anger? He's the fourth emotion I gotta draw for my au, but honestly, I'm not very good at drawing square characters, and *I NEED TO DO THE SHORT KING JUSTICE!* Any tips? ^^

You came to the right place! I'll give you every tip I have in drawing Anger.

Now, the first thing you should absolutely do is study him- by that, I mean look at how he moves in the films, video games, etc. Another important thing is to not be afraid to use reference. I'm an animation student, and my professors always ALWAYS recommend reference for WHATEVER you're drawing. Its not cheating, I promise.

One thing I quickly learned when drawing Anger is that he is NOT A RIGID CUBE. He has more of a marshmallow-like structure(?) To him. From an animation standpoint, he isn't stiff. Just like the rest of the emotions, he has squash and stretch qualities like the images below.

A big reason Anger is hard to draw, at least to me, is his weird anatomy. This dude has no neck, he's a cube with short ass arms and legs- a challenge even for the animators who worked on him! That makes it difficult to draw/animate him in certain poses, which means you gotta break some rules.

The hard truth is, if you want to get REALLY good at drawing any character, you have draw them as often as possible. I've been drawing Anger for the past TWO YEARS. There are no shortcuts to this.

Enough rambling, let's draw him now. Please keep in mind that this is my artstyle, and everyone's drawing process is unique- give yourself some time, and I'm sure you'll get it.

For the sake of simplicity, let's draw him in a casual, standing pose.

My first step is to figure out where he is looking. I try to avoid front view perspectives since they're a bit boring- so I'll go with a 3/4 view.

I start- as always with his head. Its a simple, slightly curved square shape.

I then draw the torso, which is the most important part of his body since every limb attaches from this part. Keep his uneven proportions in mind.

After that comes his arms and hands. I use this image form the IO art book to figure out his hands.

His hands are exactly like regular hands, just smaller and chubbier (heh).

I draw the arms first so I can correctly position his legs. Make sure they're not too long.

(Had to put these last 3 steps in one file, damn you tumblr image limit!)

After adding the legs, I detail his head, starting with his eyebrows. From there, I add the eyes, mouth, and finish with his outfit.

woohoo successfully remembered first post FGDJSHAK

i’ve started a few daily things recently. mood tracking is the major one (and has been going on for about a month now super successfully, ios automations ftw), but this week i’ve also started taking st johns wort in the morning and evening (its a mood balancer, my dr and a psychiatrist i saw recommended it as a first measure, i’ve also started seeing a mental health nurse and am hoping to get on the waiting list for an actual therapist asap). somehow combining multiple daily tasks together seems easier for me? like i’ve been taking my meds every time i do the mood tracking and it’s. WAY easier to tie those things together than treat them as two seperate tasks i gotta do.

right now, im mostly hoping ive not bitten off more than i can chew. theres been a lot of bullshit going on in the past year for me, and i’m worried i’m like. overcorrecting, i guess??? but i’m going into the daily writing with the full knowledge in my brain that uni and my happiness both come first. i even mentioned to my best friend that i’ll count 100 words of essay writing as 100 words towards my daily total, even if i obviously won’t be posting them here (no potential collusion accusations for me fgdjskjank). I feel like i need a better outlet, and while some of the shit im gonna post is ABSOLUTELY gonna be trash/make no sense/never again see the light of day, i think i’m going into this with a better approach than the 2021 drabble fic. i hope some people stick around to see my daily bullshit, but if this just ends up being me rambling into the void for however long i keep it up then thats fine too.
