A special feature on the spring inter high prelims consist of Tokyo’s Itachiyama and Hyogo’s Inarizaki, among many other teams.

Captain of Inzarizaki, Miya Atsumu is asked which team he’s looking forward to fight against the most during the nationals.

“The country’s best, Itachiyama, of course!” He says, rather excitedly with a sharp grin. “‘M absolutely gonna stop their ace’s spikes.”

When the clip cuts to Itachiyama’s ace, Sakusa Kiyoomi receives the challenge in his interview, which he was asked on how he felt about it.

Kiyoomi shoots a deadpanned look into the camera that not even his mask could hide.

“That certain captain will have to be prepared to lose then.”

But Inzarizaki, by extension Atsumu, actually wins this year’s Spring Interhigh, beating Itachiyama in the finals.

Everyone witnesses as Miya Atsumu barges into Sakusa Kiyoomi’s post-games interview by grabbing the guy and planting a kiss on Kiyoomi’s lips right in front of everyone.

When Atsumu pulls away, Kiyoomi merely rolls his eyes at his boyfriend’s antics. Inarizaki’s proud captain whirls around to face the stunned cameraman and interviewer.

“We made a bet.” He announces proudly. “I getta kiss my boyfriend in front of the camera!”

Kiyoomi sighs in exasperation but there’s a small smile of fondness on his face. Atsumu beams at him, looking a lot like an eager puppy.

(In the background, the second years of Inarizaki are holding a pissed-off Osamu back with Suna filming everything while Motoya is looking a little too green in his face.)

you met in your first year of highscool

and started dating that same year <33

the team knew suna had a s/o, but they never knew who it was

you never bugged him into meeting the team

nor did you really care

you attended his games tho so you know what they look and act like !!

so when you saw their loss against karasuno at nationals

you knew suna would end up upset

so you go to find and comfort him <33

but when you find him the rest of the team was there

not like he seemed to care much

since he pulled you down to where he was sitting

and pulled you into a hug

Kita sipped his hot chocolate, he doesn't have that much of a sweet tooth but the way Aran makes it's really the best. He watches fondly as his teammates fuss around his living room, that chat amongst themselves rocking ridiculous Christmas sweaters but Kita can't lie it's a nice sight. Every year the team has a little party before the holiday, a tradition you started and Kita, who doesn't do much during the holidays, sees it as his favorite part of december.

Moving from his silly teammates, he looks at the clock it's almost 8pm, you should be walking in the door any moment now. Can’t have a inzarizaki christmas party without the manager, and Kita can't imagine not having you here. He smiles again as he turns his attention to the window, the snow falls heavy outside. It's pretty. He was with you when the first snow of the season happened, the way the snowflakes fell over you was like out of a movie.

“Thinking about y/n huh cap?” Atsumu’s voice cuts in his peaceful moment, Kita laughs softly “am I that obvious?” The blondie laughs and pats Kita’s shoulder “very much so but when are you gonna tell them you like them? it's been a while hasn't it?” “Atsumu, he’ll tell y/n how he feels when the time is right quite trying to rush him” Kita laughs again, his teammates are something else but his heart leaps as the doorbell rings. It's you.

His grandmother beats him to the door, as she opens it you are slightly shivering but you have such a big smile on as you greet her politely. Walking inside the warm home, you shed your wet coat and are bombarded with warm hellos from the team. Kita places his mug down and stands up to greet you, giving you a smile as he hurries into the kitchen to grab you something warm to drink. When he comes back with a mug, you are by the tree talking to Aran and Osamu about christmas gifts. “here you go...be careful it's hot” he hands you the mug carefully and you take it graciously “thanks! it's so cold tonight but kita what do you want most this year?” “as in a christmas gift?” you nod excitedly but he doesn't know what to say. He doesn't need anything materialistic and he has what he needs, his family and friends, you.

“Let me get back to you on that one okay?” you just laugh and tell him to take his time, he has all night.

And all night it takes.

The little party is long but fun, just having time to kick back and hang out is more then enough for Kita. Eventually it gets late and it's time to clean up, you help Kita put away plates and cups as the others clean up the living room. You hum happily as you are drying duty, looking out the window as the snow still falls to earth. Kita just looks at you. Not in a creepy way but in awe. You are just amazing. Your little smile as you look outside is enough to make his heart thumb in his chest again. “It's pretty outside huh captain~” your sing-song voice brings him out his daze as you look directly at him with a wink “y-yeah...” he shifts his weight to his right foot and turns from you as your question from earlier pops into his head again “y/n-” the words get trapped in his mouth a you plant a kiss on his cheek.

“Sorry! oh jeez i shouldn't have done that” you try stepping away but he grabs your hand “no! i..i mean it's okay...i liked it a lot” he really did cause he is sure his face is as red as can be. You avoid his eyes “really?” he nods “to...answer your question of what do i want this year” your eyes slowly move back to look at the shy yet warm smile he is giving you “this might sound cheesy but i wouldn't mind if you were my gift this year” he awkwardly laughs but you just wrap your arms around him in a hug, laughing as you burry your head in the crook of his neck. It's a little muffled what you say but Kita gets the gist of it and can't lie he feels like a lit up christmas tree
