Hi everyone! For this iteration of @inu-spiration, I have been partnered with the talented @razdazberry, and OH have we got some plans for you!

How about a little KogKag exes to lovers, some badass Kagome, some very sexy Koga, and a lot of action, all for this upcoming Halloween night?

A sudden flash of light had Kagome squinting. There was a whoosh as the snake was ripped away from her body, and a resounding smack as it bent in half and flung against the window, where it shimmered and exploded, its innards flying about the car.

Tsubaki howled, then screeched as she, too, was bent nearly in half, her dark reiki spilling out of her hands and melting the carpet below. 

But Kagome wasn’t watching that; she was looking at Tsubaki and the way she was huffing, still folded over…

Almost like she’d been kicked.

A surge of yōki filled the cabin, dark green and billowing. Kagome gasped, because she knew, she knew who this was and…

She was scooped up into a pair of muscular arms, her skirt swishing around her. Her body shifted, nearly out of her control, but then a deep, husky voice breathed into her ear:

“Get on my back, sweetheart, if you still remember how.”

Summary: Midoriko was called by two representatives from the dilapidated Qilin house to marry the Lord of the house, with a set of keys as her wedding gift. Curiosity took over Midoriko when she encountered a red-haired stranger at her wedding leading her to explore the mansion's mysteries with that said set of keys.

So surprise! For @inu-spiration Halloween reverse bang I work with the amazing @mrfeenysmustache on this chilling feminine horror tale!, I could go easily for a Middle Ages AU, but instead, I want to challenge myself to write a genre that I never did, as I was obsessed with listening to or watching playthroughs of Bluebeard's Bride; which you play as the new wife of Bluebeard which you explored the house with chilling horrors or frightening servants, figuring the truth about her new husband.

I am super proud I worked on this story, despite that I am not a horror writing genre myself (I dabble a little from time to time), and I am so glad that I took that plunge though I have some scares for myself. To dive into my dark inner demons to narrate a tale of strength and grit from us women despite bleak situations.

A huge shoutout to @witchygirl99 for helping me to beta this project despite that technology did not agree with us and being so game for this project.

SPIRIT RUN

Spirit Run, an @inu-spiration collaboration between @classysassy9791 and myself is now live on Ao3! The art that inspired this story is absolutely amazing, and heartbreaking!

Summary: A yokai attack leads to an encounter that shakes the InuTachi to the core, and sends Kagome and Inuyasha on a race for her life.

Ok I have been generous to you guys- so I will compel all of my research and thought processes for 'The Strange Heir', because I like sharing my process of writing this story

Hyper RPG Bluebeard's Bride [Link]

I always highly recommend this playthrough of Bluebeard's bride as it was GM by the creator of the game-Whitney and she is soooo good with building the atmosphere- I can never forget the bathroom which still causes me shivers, and the players bounce off so well.

I tried very hard to conjure a vivid experience from this playthrough, there are a few others on youtube which I will link: 🌹 🥀 and 🌺 (Do note it is in Japanese, but the animation is so pretty and three of the rooms cause me the creeps)

The Archetypes of Manliness | The Art of Manliness [Link]

Instead of doing the female archetypes in Bluebeard's bride to represent Midoriko's mind- I subvert to male archetypes which btw by Mother Google- it was a feat so thankfully I found this summarized version- which in fact borrow from a book- King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine, by Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette. So I tried to capture the best of the personality types.

Originally I want to add Kirinmaru with the female archetypes but it will be much for me.

I’ve always wanted to draw them in an au like this. And the time has come!!! 🥳🥳🥳God bless the staff to gave me @procrastinatorrexii as my pair. She’s an amazing person and writer! She did a wonderful job with the story, so much better than I could have imagined. 🥰 This is my first collab, and to see how her brain is working was fascinating! 🥹

Digital art is a new field for me, and the main drawing required a lot of hours, but after Wilson sent me the first drafts I decided to illustrate all of the chapters -because inspiration waves🫠-. Because lack of time these drawings are more than sketches but less than completed arts.

Story Summary:

Yōkai exterminators Kagome and Miroku are called to investigate the mysterious possessions and murders that have been happening on the late night Musashi train line. When confronted with the culprit, Kagome is surprised to see not one, but two faces from her past… The one who broke her heart. And the one whose heart she broke. Can she put the past aside to solve this case? And perhaps also reunite with the ookami who still owns her heart, even after she let him go?

Inu-spiration Halloween 2023

Happy Halloween! Once again I was paired with the amazing @elkonigin for an Inu-spiration project, who is always a delight to work with.

I sent her a scribble, she sent me lots of words - more than I deserved really, so I did more scribbles, and she sent me a lot more words. Together we've come up with quite a delicious story - a canon verse inukag tale that I am sure you're going to enjoy getting your teeth into.

This was the first image I sent, which the whole story was based on. I liked the idea of a battle scene where both Kagome and Inuyasha had to work together. The original sketch was slightly different - the oni has become a lot more streamlined, and there's more elements that feature in the story incorporated into the art. It was fun coming up with some original characters to draw!

There's four more images to come, because every time I'm paired with a writer, I just can't help getting excited about how the story is going and doing more sketches.

Buckle up - it's going to be quite a ride. And bon appetit!
