You don’t get paid at all, well, Masa used to treat you to lunch sometimes as payment for wrangling Mei

But there’s no monetary payment, and you feel like you deserve a hazard pay right now

You’re Inashiro’s manager, and coach Kunitomo asked you to volunteer as the All Stars’ manager

Which is a crazy compliment from him, so obviously you accept

Plus getting to see all these player’s states up close will be fun, so many players from all over the place

Shunshin is nice, he’s polite and not scary like Inui, and he’s more reasonable than Mei

Mei who quickly becomes jealous that his manager is being friendly with a different pitcher

Talk to Miyuki too, I dare you, watch Mei fume

He can’t say shit without coach Kunitomo telling him off, you’re just doing your job

Shirakawa doesn’t like you talking to Miyuki because he just doesn’t like Miyuki, and Carlos just finds everything funny

Jokingly asks if you’re going to runaway with one of the guys, isn’t sure how to take your deadpan response

Umemiya is almost as much of a handful as Mei, and you think he might get into a fight with the King

Inui complements your ability to not strangle anyone from inashiro as he watches Shirakawa glares daggers at Miyuki, Mei picks a fight with Umemiya, and Carlos’ shirt goes missing

You compliment his ability to not strangle his pitcher

Friendship acquired! You exchange LINE information

By the end of this, Shunshin is added to a chat with you two; the three sainest members on the team (out of the characters we really get to know, sorry everyone else)

Miyuki almost got added, but he kept goading Mei and lost his spot

When the American’s show up, you help them get settled and stuff

You’re kind of their guide, it’s a good chance to practice your english

They jokingly ask if you have any advice for the upcoming game

Not one to miss an opportunity to tease Mei you tell them he’s not much of a threat, they laugh obviously having done their research and knowing that isn’t true

It looks great on your resume, managing an international event, though it kind of looks like a babysitting job

I love that these two get along because of how similar narumiya is to mukai. inui knows exactly how to handle him

i noticed something. in act 2 ch 103, inui didnt have his cheek lines thing. he didnt have those face lines that make him look old.

so i tried removing those lines in other panels.

...bruh

ok make no mistake, I like Inui. I think he's underrated. But he's largely a meme in the fandom coz he looks so damn old and funny. Plus his tiger jokes work coz he already looks ridiculous in his own way.

This post is just a window on what he looks like without those characteristic face lines.

I prefer the original Inui of course! The revised ones turn him into tanba sometimes ;^_^

Day 1: Write 5 sentences for your WIP right now.

((knowing this writing challenge is mainly for OCs but still including one of my fanfic wips))

Taiyou's parents have always warned him of the dangers of humans and the possibility of falling in love with one. They say it will only lead to heartbreak and rejection because they don't under the supernatural. The problem is that all the other supernatural creatures Taiyou knows are jerks -- cough Narumiya cough -- except his best friends, Toujou and Nao, and maybe Tadano, but Taiyou can't understand why such a nice guy like that would end up with Narumiya, of all people.

And if humans are supposed to be so bad, then why is this stern-faced man looking at that kitten with such kind eyes and giving it food? And why is his heart beating so fast like that?

Whatever this team move thing is for Teitou, it is impossible for Inui to look like anything but a clueless middle aged dude trying to keep up with the kids.

In its own way it makes it especially cute when he does it.

Apparently it’s “Inui Tiger”. Can’t help imagining it up against Mochi Cheetah...

I wonder if he was struck by lightning beforehand.

Well, that certainly wasn’t what Taiyou had meant to say when Inui answered the door. His original plan was to say he was bored and then weasel himself into Inui’s room for a little.

And he was bored. He really wanted to point that out because him showing up at Inui’s door had nothing to do with the fact that he’d just watched a horror movie with his roommates. It absolutely had nothing to do with the fact that he was terrified to sleep and knew Inui would still be up studying.

Inui was the perfect distraction- entertainment! He was the perfect entertainment! No, wait... hm. That didn’t seem right either.

“Are you okay, Taiyou?”

“Huh?” Taiyou blinked up at Inui. The worry Inui felt for him was apparent in the exaggerated crease between his eyebrows. “I’m fine.” He shrugged to prove a point, but it didn’t end the jittery feeling under his skin whenever he thought of the movie.

Opening his arms, Inui didn’t question Taiyou’s request. It was why Taiyou loved him so much. Inui put up with so much of his shit and without complaint too. Taiyou couldn’t ask for anyone better.

“Thanks,” Taiyou muttered. He stepped into Inui’s arms and pressed his face into Inui’s chest. “Need this,” he mumbled. He felt safe and secure with Inui holding him and - honestly - he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
