Ace started fake dating you because...

He wanted to show off. An incredibly selfish reason, even her could admit it, but he couldn't help himself given the chance. Ace saw it as a win-win. He gets to show off to his brother and friends, and you earn a little bit of status! Originally, it was supposed to be a one-night thing for a party, but word spead fast, locking you both in this awkward situation..

When Ace realized his feelings...

Ace was delayed to his own emotions, in full honesty. You knew he'd fallen for you before he did. Ace didn't even notice how he'd still hook his arm around you when nobody was around, how he'd keep calling you those stupid cheesy nicknames when you worked on homework together, he got so used to the act that it beld into his normal routine. He kept excusing himself in his mind, 'Its just act!' Or 'Im only doing this because I gotta save my dignity!', things like that. Ace felt like he was being hit by a truck when he realized he wanted to start sending you good morning and good night messages. At first, he was still in denial, attempting to convince himself that he just got 'too into character' or that he was just messing around, and he didn't mean it seriously. It started getting harder to ignore. Ace felt his cheeks burn whenever he was around you, his heart beating just a little too fast. These feelings kept rearing up inside his heart until he decided that he couldn't just keep this as a public-only act anymore.

How he confessed...

Ace was painfully awkward with his confession. Ace invited you to a fancy dinner, completely on him (like a real date). beat around the bush, second-guessing himself all the way. His heart was bouncing around in his chest, his cheeks a cute shade of red-pink. Ace was embarrassed at his own confession; his voice was quieter than usual, and his eyes look at you with pure adoration, words comming out almost in a mumble when he asked, "Is it okay if we... go out seriously?"

Cater Daimond

Cater started fake dating you because...

he wanted to stop getting grief from his sisters, along with the added benefits of 'dating life' clout. Cater knew it wasn't the most morally correct thing to do, but he still asked you. The pressure from his pesky sisters always asking when he'd bring someone home, Cater just couldn't take it! It was really just an added benefit that he started showing you off on his page, Cater had to sell the act, so of course, he basically shoved you into the lime light with him. If you wanted it or not, he's still a little remorseful...

When Cater realized his feelings...

He was idly scolding on his phone, and he just so happened to stumble on a specific video of an actual couple doing coupley things. Cater felt almost felt a little bitter before he caught himself. He wanted to slam his head on a wall. Thinking of his FAKE date in actual /srs IRL situations? No way! Cater could already tell he was spelling doom for himself as he stayed in his mind, imaging the sappy thing that you could do together... Cater groaned into his pillow, internally chastising himself for feeling such a way about a fake partner...

How he confessed...

Cater didn't even want to confess. He was terribly embarrassed of himself for falling for you. He didn't express his feelings because he was in the mindset that this relationship was strictly transactional, no matter how many signs you might have thrown straight at his face. He beat himself up over his 'misstep'. At this point, his sulking and longing glances at you will have caught anyone's attention. Given a little encouragement, Cater might confess his feelings for you.

Vil Schoenheit

Vil started fake dating you because...

Some fans were getting just a little too into Vil's act. In Vil's best interest, his manager advised finding someone to date, even if falsely, to attempt to dampen the sheer amount of borderline obsessive fans. Vil trusted you enough and deemed you a realistic enough choice for him to 'date'. So he asked for your help. Vil offered to help you with anything alchemy class related in exchange for your 'service'.

When Vil realized his feelings...

Vil was relaxing by himself, brewing a new potion. He almost hadn't realized that his thoughts kept returning to you. Your smile, your voice, the unintended touches, everything about you infested his mind. Upon realizing that, he attempted to remain calm, composed. Vil tried his best to keep his thoughts in order, but half of them were freaking out over the realization, and the other half was dreading on how he'd handle this in the future. Vil decided to take the measured, safe route, for the time being. Vil kept himself in line. He knew how to charm an audience just fine, but you? Oh, you needed special attention indeed. Vil stayed just as untouchable as before, but his gaze lingered on you just a little longer than before, and his cheeks seemed to glow with a gorgeous blush. He sprinkled in just a little more spoiling here and there, grander acts of affection that reached over the 'just acting the part' range.

How he confessed...

Vil was initially reluctant to even confess. This was (technically) a professional relationship. Getting his feelings involved in work could end badly, not only for him but for you too. Despite that, Vil's perseverance was wavering. Evey single grin, laugh, blush, just made him feel weaker. So he did what he had to do. In full honesty, expected rejection. This was a blatant breach of the agreement that you two had settled on. It was only expected. Vil was painfully professional about his confession. He wanted it to be done and over with. Your acceptance of his feelings will leave him scrambling for a second, but he'd make sure to show his gratitude towards you.

((knowing this writing challenge is mainly for OCs but still including one of my fanfic wips))

Taiyou's parents have always warned him of the dangers of humans and the possibility of falling in love with one. They say it will only lead to heartbreak and rejection because they don't under the supernatural. The problem is that all the other supernatural creatures Taiyou knows are jerks -- cough Narumiya cough -- except his best friends, Toujou and Nao, and maybe Tadano, but Taiyou can't understand why such a nice guy like that would end up with Narumiya, of all people.

And if humans are supposed to be so bad, then why is this stern-faced man looking at that kitten with such kind eyes and giving it food? And why is his heart beating so fast like that?

🍓 - What are their kisses like?

Kisses with Furuya are generally very soft. He's in no rush and likes to take things slow. Lots of fleeting touches as he's unsure of where to put his hands but also desperately wants to cling onto you.

Kissing Sawamura is like a breath of fresh air! He's bright and playful, leaving pecks all over your face with little laughs. His kisses are warm and soothing when he's in a sappier mood, making sure you know you're treasured.

Kissing Miyuki is an odd experience. He's teasing and pulls away early to see your disgruntled face but he can also be very curt and to the point, opting for short firm pecks rather than long drawn out kisses. His kisses can be passionate and full of emotion on occasion but that's only when he decides to open up a bit.

🍑 - Where do they like to be kissed?

Furuya loves, and I mean loves, forehead kisses. He's fairly tall though so if you're on the shorter side he's a little pouty when he discovers you're incapable of kissing his forehead without the added assistance of him leaning down.

Sawamura can't get enough of cheek kisses! Loves when you squish his face together and smooches his fluffy cheeks. Also melts whenever you kiss the tip of his nose or his freckles.

Miyuki enjoys when you kiss his hands. His hands are what make it possible for him to play baseball so he finds it sweet whenever you give them extra attention. He's also a sucker for kisses on his collarbone.

🍦- Do they enjoy cuddling?

Of course Furuya enjoys cuddling! We're talking about the resident napping king himself!! He needs to hug something when he sleeps so cuddling is literally heaven on earth for him.

Sawamura's answer to cuddling is yes. Just yes. Cuddling with this fool is a little less relaxing and definitely more goofy. He enjoys having your legs tangled together and just talking about anything and everything. Caution he will blow raspberries onto your cheeks because he's a dork.

Cuddle time is usually reserved as a before bed activity with Miyuki. He just has a lot of stuff to do during the day that there's not much time to drop everything and get cozy. Don't get me wrong Miyuki does love cuddling but it's more of an end of the day thing when he's physically and mentally drained.

Summer Days

Chapter 3: Long Nights

The flickering light of the television wakes Shirasu from his light sleep. His tired eyes feel like they’re burning when he looks at the screen. With a small groan, he rubs at them in the hopes of waking them up enough to get him and Nori to bed.

Sitting up, he grabs the controller off the coffee table. It takes him a moment to realize that the television has been muted. The captions appear on the screen with each new sentence uttered by the characters.

That’s odd. He doesn’t remember turning the captions on.

“Sorry, did I wake you up?”

Shirasu frowns to himself as he looks over at Nori on the opposite side of the couch. His boyfriend looks wide awake and Shirasu notices the cup of hot tea beside him. Nori’s tablet is open and there are a notebook and pen on his lap.

“I… don’t think so,” Shirasu replies. The guilty look on Nori’s face lessens and is replaced by a soft smile. Good, Shirasu thinks. There’s nothing for Nori to feel guilty about anyway.

Glancing at his phone, Shirasu notices that it’s pushing 1 a.m. already. He closes his eyes and thinks. The last thing he remembers is watching a movie with Nori. To celebrate the end of the workweek, they pick a movie to watch together. It’s their Friday night routine. Shirasu guesses he fell asleep while watching.

That doesn’t explain what Nori is doing right now. Shirasu watches as Nori reads from his tablet and scribbles something down in his notebook. “Nori?” Shirasu clears his throat when his voice comes out rougher than he expected. “What are you doing?”

Nori hums as he writes something down. Shirasu waits patiently for him to finish. “Research,” he says when he smiles over at Shirasu. “It’s for that online class I’m taking,” he clarifies when Shirasu’s frown deepens.

Except Shirasu isn’t frowning because he didn’t understand what it was for. He’s frowning because he doesn’t understand why Nori’s doing the research so late at night. Part of him is relieved that Nori isn’t working on his lesson plans for once.

Then he eyes the still-steaming mug to the side. From the looks of it, Nori doesn’t plan to go to sleep anytime soon, so Shirasu resigns himself to stay up with him. Sighing, Shirasu shifts so he can lay his head on Nori’s lap and gets comfortable.

Nori laughs when Shirasu closes his eyes. He feels Nori’s hand move through his hair and hums contentedly. “Why don’t you go to bed?” Nori whispers, fingers gently scratching his scalp. Shirasu feels his body relax at the touch.

Shirasu would go to bed if he could. He’s never told Nori this, but he has a hard time sleeping without Nori beside him. It didn’t start until he started traveling for work, but he knows it’s worse when he’s home and Nori is finishing up work in the other room. If he goes to bed, he’ll just end up staring at the ceiling until Nori joins him.

“I will,” he lies. He has no plans of getting in bed until Nori does. “But for now I’m just going to close my eyes here.”

There’s a breathy laugh from Nori. “Your eyes are already closed.”

Shirasu smiles to himself. “See? I’m already ahead of the game.” His words are just a little bit slurred, but that’s okay. “Don’t worry about me,” he tells Nori, knowing he might fall asleep within seconds whether he wants to or not. “Just keep working until you’re ready to stop.”

He hears Nori chuckle and he’s only a little disappointed when the fingers in his hair disappear. “Okay,” Nori whispers.

Shirasu can imagine what Nori looks like while he works. He’s seen it enough times to picture it clearly. There’s probably a small crease between Nori’s eyes as he reads his article. Sometimes he’ll bite the tip of his pen when he tries to understand something a little more confusing for him. If it’s something he knows he’ll have to remember, Nori will mouth the words while he reads it.

It’s cute and adorable. Shirasu loves how dedicated Nori is to his work. He just wishes Nori would take better care of himself.

It doesn’t take long for Shirasu to feel sleep pulling at his consciousness. The quiet sound of the pen moving and scratching against the paper is hard to ignore, so he tries to focus on Nori’s little hums and whispers. Except, he does the opposite and seems to lull him further to sleep.

He tries to fight it. He’ll feel bad if he sleeps while Nori stays up late to work on an assignment. Nori deserves to rest too, but it’s so hard to resist the urge to let go.

Eventually, he gives in.

The last thing he remembers before finally drifting off is the brush of Nori’s hand through his hair and the gentle lips against his cheeks.
