Wind Breaker Chapter 160 Spoilers

I love how at the beginning of the chapter the gang was watching Hiragi and Sako from the sidelines

But by the end of the chapter they were standing right behind them lmao

They are so nosy xD

Several things are happening here that I love:

1. Kanuma looking around nervously and Arima finding that bemusing. I'm pretty sure we know who Kanuma's nervous about seeing (*cough* suo *cough*).

2. Sako treating Inugami like an owner telling their dog to stay put if the dog wants to be rewarded with a treat. (also inugami is so much taller than i remember, sako's literally at chin height)

3. Togame and Choji. That's it.

Special mention to Gravel for Suzuri encouraging his team to loosen up and mingle around cuz they're all friends here + the fact that they are nervous means they feel guilty and they're in the prescence of people they went to beat up and ended up being given jobs by them. I think it's sweet.

Another shoutout to Roppo Ichiza for being cutie patooties. Otawa and Miyoshi especially.

I love that Sako made a friend in Shishitoren, even though joining was originally just a means to an end for him.

I have to imagine that Inugami was the one who adopted Sako and was basically like, "yep, we're besties now."

Ok, so I have been reading the manga, and I have reached the noroshi arc . How come nobody told me about this cutie, huh??

I was thinking about this page from Wind Breaker:

And I guess my conclusion from it, assuming that they're all between 15-18 like Bofurin, is that the majority of Shishitoren members dropped out of school after junior high/lower secondary school (in Japan compulsory education ends once you finish 9th grade) but it also makes me wonder what their lives look like on the day to day. Like how much of their time is dedicated to working versus gang activity and stuff like that. Or even, what would it look like if Wind Breaker was a darker series? Because even if delinquent gangs in Japan are/were mostly associated with alt-culture and petty crimes being involved in them, especially after leaving school, is probably not a great indicator for having a stable life.
