Usually Ambrosius shows a little more self restraint, because he knows that nothing good can come out of this longing. Ballister is his best friend, and he’s not ready to screw things up between them and have to revert to being strangers. (Though he supposes that’s a risk anybody in love would have to take. He supposes he’s in love too.) Another thing, Ambrosius is dogged by paparazzi he’d do anything to protect Ballister from.
