part 1 of my pining falin agenda aka it was so tragical that falin got benched for the entirety of marcille's little black dress morally bankrupt baddie era and falin thinks so too
been watching a lot of PPG lately, tis funny since I used to own a DVD copy of the episodes, but I would watch them in Spanish before I checked the show out in English.
Oswald's family moved to a nearby town after Oz got his dad back from the ball pit. Oz recently got into highschool and his parents got decent jobs.
They still visit Jeff's Pizzeria every now and then! The place has improved a lot ever since Oz helped Jeff with the arcades and all.
But Oswald never revisited the ball pit room.. He still thinks about it to this day because of frequent nightmares. What happened to the creature? Did Jeff get rid of it? Does he even know?.. Did it escape or go away? Did it ever exist? 👀 What if the ball pit is gone now?
"Noo I didn't mean to do that!🥺 He may have gouged my eye out, never apologized for it and grinned at the memory of bullying me, but he didn't deserve to die!
Aemond after Aegon made fun of him in a brothel:
"Fuck the fact that we're on the same team, fuck the fact that he insisted to have me on his council because I'm his brother, fuck the fact that this would doom our cause, this asshole has to die."
One day I’ll sit down and give an extensive talk on my experience with synesthesia, but for now I’ll just say that for me, music has always been tied to my art. Inextricably. When I put on music as I paint it’s not just background noise, it’s actively informing the piece. This is an example of me taking that to the logical extreme, this entire piece was made and crafted by the music I heard as I painted it. Using Beatles (and solo career) songs from across their lifespan, the finished piece becomes a visual symphony of shared history between Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Everything shared, and everything left unsaid.
one thing I learned recently - that seems obvious in retrospect - is that 'being able to recognise intervals and chords by ear' is not necessarily something that you need to just hope will happen automatically if you music hard enough.
if you go to music school there's a specific exercise they do called 'ear training' where they sit you down and make you practice recognising stuff (chords and intervals and so on) - either the teacher will play it or you can get software that plays a thing and asks you to identify it. sorta like the musical equivalent of using a spaced repetition system to memorise vocab in language learning.
there's actually an ear training program in the GNU suite. you can get it here. it's just a python program that hooks into your computer's MIDI.
Why does Ren have 4 ears? Are they all real or is one set fake?
Hehe I’ve gotten this question a lot actually! They’re all real— I like to think hybridization isn’t always a clean balance of traits, so Ren just unfortunately ended up with two sets of ears— his Dog ears being much more receptive to sound, naturally— and sometimes when the extra intake of sound is too overwhelming, I imagine he wears earplugs in his human ears to help adjust :> it’s a bit weird, but idk! i like to make designs funky and nonconventional! I liked the idea that Ren had hearing struggles due to wonky hybridization and just kept the concept :>
