I am suspicious when he starts with something I can relate to. I also sometimes turn the wrong way! I also had a weird teacher who gave me specific rules for writing! This must be a normal, straightforward *realistic* plot. I see you Gaiman. Can’t trick me this time!
Hey I also live in IL now. I had to Google Decatur though.
I have never seen ovaltine in person so why do I think I know how it tastes?
“That’s where it all begins” aha! Have I caught the switch between my world and the fantasy this time?
Don’t split up and walk into the weird fog please.
I thought he was clever for the money in the shoe bit. I guess listening to your mom is smart still.
Ok the change wasn’t a subtle as Im used to. I don’t feel tricked so that’s okay.
Ooh I wasn’t expecting that to be what came out of the rip.
(Im technically working right now or I wouldn’t be stopping so much while reading)
Yep. No I take it back. I didn’t see any of this coming. I thought it was just a slightly alternate dimension with weird a McDonald’s
What’s with the Js?
Ok wait but why didn’t the mom recognize him?
Did he learn to explicitly give permission to pee the hard way? 😂
I wish my tattoos did that.
He will power them? Is this like the whale ship in doctor who? 😭
Another Harker? Or another Joey Harker?
💇♂️ and 👆are not the same ma’am.
Oh I REALLY wish my snake tattoo could do that. (It’s a nod to Crowley, so it’s (deep down) a nice snake)
Stopping here. I usually read too fast and analyze later. Trying to take my time with this and not just finish it in one go.
I’m back already because the real world is sad and I have no self control when it comes to a good book.
This book isn’t exactly happy though either
Oh. It is like the space whale.
Ok duh. That’s why mom didn’t know him but teacher did. Fair enough.
Not me wondering why this was published in 2007 and the teenager somehow knows who Errol Flynn is…. I was a teenager in 2007 & know Errol Flynn is. That’s not even wibbly wobbly. Kid just likes old movies.
See. I somehow went from a-hah! Odd mist leads to an alternate universe is a little odd to just accepting a boundless bright colored plane with things made of yellow. Snuck up on me a bit.
Why do I want a pet mudluff now?
The enemy’s gate is down.
That’s not better alcohol. That’s just drugs.
Yeah. The something is he’s you.
Star Trek forever and always has done it first.
He hasn’t heard them say hocus pocus - they something about bananas gorillas and nutmeg. They’re professionals.
13? (I looked that up. Sorry)
Duh.
Sir. You are too young to know how a filling feels when it falls out. Brush your teeth kids! (Seriously wish I had been better at that when I was young)
Is squid a J too?
Again. Duh.
Don’t get lost again
Not a dream. Great idea. Why don’t they do that already?!
Managed to keep myself busy enough tonight to not finish it at once. I’m glad it’s a trilogy though. Doesn’t seem like enough pages left
Are these even real words? Some must be fake right?
It’s probably 13. Just a guess.
Umm…here’s the thing about octopi…
Not me getting mad at the pity party like I don’t talk to myself the same way. Well played.
Uhmm. What did he do wrong??
Ok but I love printing tricks like that. Adds to the story.
KEVIN?!?!
Now I definitely want a pet mudluff!
I am begging you to brush your teeth here.
🤞 wibbly wobbly 🤞🤞
Should have made him do a thank you dance
FREE WILLY!
Nope. Too creepy. Die already
⚖️ though?
Hmm. Odd but not wrong.
I’d say it would make a good show but they’d ruin it by focusing on the special effects.
This was weird for me. I usually plow through books. Even though this took me less than a day it was kind of fun to write down my thoughts as I went. Will have to do this again.
Season 2 wasn’t the happy little escapism show I thought it would be. Got myself a new Neil Gaiman book to take the hurt away. (Yes new to ME, not in general. I’ve been saving the rest of his works for when I really need it).

for story bible sunday:
notcatskie's oersted had feelings much like species dysphoria in those who are transspecies*, and if he had social media and learned of the term he would have defo 100% identified as such. however this is the medieval times so he just felt shitty and like a weirdo and tried his best to suppress the feelings. coming out as a trans man did help a bit with the. gender. but however he still never did feel right in his body. felt too tall and too stiff and for whatever reason he keeps expecting to see a tail behind him. he only told Straybow about how seeing himself as a cat with opposable thumbs made him feel better about things most likely (and straybow mocked him for it during [spoilers]. rude.).
anyways unlike irl transspecies people after oersted (now knight, and odio's there too and yes they're both not-cats interworld) died(?), he bodily became a not-cat (and also duskie started existing) and now Knight's off having the best species euphoria in his goddamn life and never wants to be bodily human again ever. good end.
*From [Alt+H] - “Some nonhuman-identifying folk use this label, often to denote that they have, will, or generally desire to modify their bodies to be more nonhuman/less human looking, and are often motivated by species dysphoria. Others may use it to describe a feeling of “being [X species] trapped in a human body”. Many who use the term do so because they are transgender and their species identity parallels this experience.”

g r e e t i n g s
i'm clyde and i thought i had to do this post even thought it would be cringey
i speak turkish(mother language),english(fluently),and some german but not really fluent
im both an artist and a writer,so double the creativity and the pain
im aceflux and panplatonic (idk if that term exists or not,i feel platonic attraction but make it pan) and i use they/she. im still a cis female though,i still prefer they/she.
here is some useless info about me/getting to know about me:
im an infj 7w6
i went to...skopje,ohrid,prishtina and prizren (basically macedonia and kosovo)
im interested in law and willing to be a prosecutor?( i might turn into franziska or edgeworth.)
possibly neurodivergent.
i will possibly say sorry to everything? everyone says i shouldn't but idk i think im standoffish and an asshole sometimes.
anyways.
fandoms
jujutsu kaisen, the study case of vanitas, ace attorney,ENA,dumb ways to die (if it counts),deltarune, undertale, honestly idk
things i like(bands,hyperfixations and shit)
so...im going to ramble some shit out so you can skip this)
nirvana, pink floyd, guns n roses, foster the people, penelope scott (some of her songs),jack off jill, some turkish rock (i normally cant stand turkish music even it is my own countrys, but there is some specific bands like maNga,yüzyüzeyken konuşuruz etc. but idk much.),pinkshift, law,my ocs, writing, drawing,my ocs,my blanket, frogs, cats, astronomy, science, simple affection, colorful things, love letters, flowers, gardening, shopping, rambling, anyone listening to me,my fandoms...but yeah lets go on
projects
1. harper to the end of the world(dünyanın sonuna harper in turkish)
trigger warning: cringy, maybe some trauma, edgy teenager, narcissism, kind of venting and ranting, some spoilers?
harper is my kind of self-insert oc,when most people ask i say "a character based off me." so yeah my life is like shit and most people judge me for whateverthefuck i do. homever stabbing them is illegal and prohibited in Islam. i always wanted to control them and make them be sorry for what they did. i cant mention their irl name tho,i will get in trouble.(our advisory teacher and the counselor are such jerks,i don't like them.) and then harper gets the ability to...control them?
i admit i was trying to drag attention to myself in 6th grade, but that was the literal past and as my dear friend(i don't know if he still sees me as a friend.) mr. nobody,"the desire to drag attention to yourself comes from the lack of attention you are having." i couldn't agree more. i was a loner back then but i found some people that arent assholes but i don't know if they like me or not. theyre cool though. im a standoffish and attention addict girl as the girls gossip in my classroom but they talk about wanting a "big boy" or a "starboy" like wtf aren't those songs 💀 AND THEY LIKE A BOY WHO LITERALLY PULLED OFF A GIRLS HIJAB AND THERE IS RUMORS THAT HE LIKES ME 💀💀💀
but, what if there was someone who actually gave a fuck about me? yep, here comes my ocs. i get dragged into another universe where harper's and my other oc's dreams actually happens, but they have to fight with monsters and evil people etc. harper becomes a fairy and gets frogs and other pretty animals 🩷
2. interworld(dünyalar arası in turkish)
so,these characters.im going to write their name in english and turkish.most of the names have to do nothing with their original turkish names, but it suits them.
trigger warning!!
a good-looking teenage model, which is actually very nice, but doesn't want to model because the influence he gives on people, and doesn't want any bitches.also being verbally @b#s#d by his brother, the ceo of the big fashion company. xavier, our protagonist. (his name is Yıldırım.yep, thats his name.btw his mom dies after she gives birth to yağmur, her younger sister.)
a government agent, who just wants to live her teenage life. she was really depressed after her mom got fired and had to leave her for good.. has to go on murdering sprees sometimes. an ultimate spy, depressed(has tried...some things,i don't want to trigger people.) but dresses really cute. "monika" jenny. monika is her spy name, and she has a fake id for good. our protagonists best friend and lover.the turkish name doesn't change
xavier's stupid but nice, also a great listener cousin, getting emotionally neglected and verbally @b#s#d by his parents, again. He likes science and psychology. also looks like and almost is apollo justice.elliot, the protagonist's cousin.(şimşek in turkish.there is also a side character called fırtına[hurricane] and my friends call it "a weather forecast")
a standoffish but emotional and awkward fairy which is a selfish asshole to herself but actually a real mess? she either does a manspread or turns into a cat. thinks everyone is judging her of her apparence or hyperfixating. yes, thats harper, the "not ladylike" girl. i will explain the dynamics between stories later. she screams or meows often, when she doesn't want to talk/can't talk.
a monster/demon boy, that is awkward but really nice, stupid but smart, introvert but extrovert, shy but confident, basically complicated.likes to tease people .also says sorry really often. more gentle than the others but cant control himself when he's scared.he got @$$ault3d by his aunt.asterix, the fairy's lover. he will also send you shrek memes to make you smile at 3 AM. he likes cats.
a poc girlboss trying to dress like the kidcore/indie kid aesthetics? she is also a cancer survivor and she grew some hair too. but she used to get bullied by some bitches that were the complete opposite of kidcore,so she wants to dress like that way and she likes the aesthetic- marble, the confident one along with xavier. she likes makeup and still watches barbie movies.(she goes with "mermer" [marble] in the book)
these traumatized humans form a team with a void+man thing which gives them powers, and fights the evil. in the other universe. if you want to read it or have any questions, you can ask.
xavier x monika, asterix x clyde and marble x elliot looks good but xavier and asterix are gay so yeah xavier could fuck anyone honestly(he is bi).but since its going to be published in a homophobic country, theyre all straight because i need a shelter.
so uhm,this is the end.
sorry for the long post,i like introducing myself, and you don't have to read it all so...
yeah im sorry. im not trying to be edgy or attention seeking.

Need!! Terry Pratchett and/or Neil Gaiman book recs!
Okay, so my brother loves loves Good Omens the book. Like, he’s the kind of guy who reads for the plot and that’s it. He never rereads anything and hates spoilers to death and claims to close his eyes during before-movie trailers at the theater because even those are too spoilers for him BUT he’s reread Good Omens thrice now and I have only ever seen him do this with hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and!! He’s even considered watching the tv show! He never watches tv! I am baffled and delighted by his enjoyment of this book anyway
I’m trying to find more of terry pratchett and/or neil gaiman to rec for him and I don’t know where to start at ALL. Like, Discworld, but *where* in Discworld?? Mort? Going postal? Whichever one has the clown school? ? And do I give him Interworld or Stardust?? American gods?? If anyone has any Opinions on this im dying to hear them I have been staring at these bibliographies for hours and I have no idea where to start (I’d send an ask at mr. gaiman but I hear he has no social media so :/ )
#booklr#book recommendations#good omens#discworld#reading recs#please srsly I’m more lost rn than a six year old in walmart who just followed a lady with the same shoes as his mom for six aisles#shouting into the tumblr void#hoping blindly for a rec#D:#help

Well, Thanksgiving is only a few days away now my friends. I hope you're looking forward to the holiday and spending time with loved ones, friends, or even yourself taking a break from your busy life.
Wish you all the sweet potato pie and crescent rolls your heart desires 😘. Here are my thoughts on last week's questions...
Tuesday, Reel Motion...
So Black Panther 2 is out now, I've yet to see it but I'm looking forward to seeing it. All I can say right now is I'm doing my best to stay away from any spoilers.
Thursday, Midweek Melody...
So, the Tina Turner musical sounds really cool but I had a question. Have there been any other musicals based on the life events of a real star? If there is let me know. There probably are but I haven't heard of many of them. Either way, I am a fan of Tina and love her music.
Sunday, Quick Shot...
So, recent Kanye West events in my mind are basically not shocking to me. I'm actually more shocked it hasn't happened until now. I'm surprised so many brands stood by him for so long.
Happy Thanksgiving InterWorld 🍂 sending you all much love and blessings.
Stay safe and well my friends 🍂.

Upcoming Neil Gaiman Adaptations
http://bit.ly/2WiRcLB
Besides Good Omens, what other Neil Gaiman adaptations are heading (or not heading) to TV and film screens near you?
facebook
twitter
tumblr
Who doesn't love a good Neil Gaiman adaptation? The British author is prolific, yet still manages to maintain a consistent quality and eccentricity in his work. With both American Gods and Good Omens currently enjoying TV adaptations, with Gaiman involved in their creation in some capacity, it's a great time to be a Gaiman fan.
read more: Good Omens TV Series Review (Spoiler-Free)
A bumper harvest of Neil Gaiman-penned projects are currently in development, and due to arrive on the big and small screen and elsewhere in the next few years. Let's take a look at what has a release date, what is in development, and what might never come to be...
Neil Gaiman Movie Adaptations
Sandman - Development Hell
It's meant with no disrespect to the terrific Coraline and Stardust when saying that Sandman is likely to be the biggest Neil Gaiman project to date at the movies... that is if it ever makes it there.
Originally seemingly moving jollily ahead at New Line Cinema after a switch from Vertigo, The Sandman movie adaptation has suffered its fair share of setbacks in the last few years, with writers Jack Thorne and Eric Heisserer both departing the project. The latter, who left in October of 2016, suggested that the adaptation might make a better TV show than a movie, which is a fair assessment of the sprawling, epic story.
read more: The Sandman Universe Coming From Neil Gaiman
At one point, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was attached to produce, star in, and perhaps direct the film, but he also dropped out last year. The latest news? Neil Gaiman addressed the possibility of a Sandman adaptation in a video recorded by The Verge editor Tasha Robinson at the recent SXSW festival.
"The Endless are owned by DC Comics/Time Warner and not by me," Gaiman said. "I think as the days go on, as the years go on, the probability that a Sandman thing will happen, obviously, increase continually. But I have no say in anything."
Will this adaptation ever make it to some size of screen? We'll keep our ear to the ground.
Hansel & Gretel — Film Rights Acquired
Gaiman's take on Hansel & Gretel arrived in graphic novel form in 2014, and the movie rights to it were promptly snapped up. Juliet Blake, who produced The Hundred-Foot Journey, is the person who's picked them up.
No timescale, screenwriter, or director details have been made available since the 2014 acquisition.
The Ocean At The End Of The Lane — In Development
The Ocean At The End Of The Lane is a lovely book, and prior to its publication, it was revealed that the film rights had already been acquired, and a director was attached.
read more: The Distinctive Direction of The Good Omens TV Series
Focus Features is the company that was attached to the film, with the project having been bought by Tom Hanks' production company, Playtone. Joe Wright — who directed Atonement, Hanna, and Anna Karenina amongst others — was said to be attached to direct.
That was back in February 2013, however, and there doesn't appear to have been much progress on the project since then. It looks like a case of wait and see for now.
The Graveyard Book — In Development
This one seems to be stuck in limbo a bit. The original plan with the film adaptation of The Graveyard Book was that Henry Selick — who brilliantly realised Coraline in stop motion animation — would bring it to the screen. Disney had backed the project, but it put the brakes on it back in 2012.
read more: Why We're Excited for Good Omens TV Show
However, since then, it appeared to come back to life as a live-action venture that was attracting the interest of Ron Howard (Rush, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind). Unfortunately that was back in January 2013. Collider asked Howard about the project in 2016, and the director seemed to have some hope for it as a possible future film.
More recently, last year in fact, Walt Disney Studios' president of productive Sean Bailey told THR The Graveyard Book is something Disney is, wait for it, "excited about." Do with this information what you will.
The Books Of Magic — Development Hell
A project that seems almost permanently stuck in development hell now is an adaptation of Gaiman's comic book miniseries, The Books Of Magic.
read more: How Terry Pratchett Influenced the Good Omens TV Show
Plans for a film date back to 1998, when Gaiman himself was attached an executive producer, and Warner Bros had the rights. It would be fair to say that the development process had problems, with both Gaiman and Paul Levitz eventually telling the studio that the screenplay they had developed did not bear much relation to The Books Of Magic anymore.
Back in 2006, Gaiman told Superherohype that he was looking to developing The Books Of Magic into a film or TV series himself, along with writer Matt Greenberg (who'd worked on early scripts for the project). There's been no progress since, sadly.
Signal To Noise — Development Hell
Not much is known about this one. The graphic novel Signal To Noise was one Gaiman did alongside Dave McKean, and the plan was for McKean to turn it into a feature film.
read more: Neil Gaiman's 11 Geekiest Cameo Appearances
As Gaiman says on his own website: "Neil is only helping here and there with it, reading over Dave's script and helping him get financing." He also confirmed that McKean had planned to direct the film. We've not heard more on it for some time, though.
Neil Gaiman TV Adaptations
Neil Gaiman signed a deal with Amazon Studios in 2018 (via Variety), which means, until futher notice, any new Gaiman TV adaptations will most likely appear on Amazon. Prior to the Amazon deal, Gaiman had a first-look deal with Fremantle, which is the studio that makes American Gods.
Interworld — In Development
Originally conceived for screen, Gaiman and Michael Reeves eventually put the Interworld story across in book form, where it was then in turn optioned in 2007 by DreamWorks Animation.
read more: Neil Gaiman Writing The Storyteller Reboot
In 2016, it switched from the film to TV track when Universal Cable Productions announced that it would be developing Interworld into a TV show. The TV adaptation has Hamilton producers Jeffrey Seller and Flody Suarez in its corner, but we've not had any updates on the project for a while. More news as we hear it.
Anansi Boys — In Development
Production company Red was announced in 2014 as developing a mini-series adaptation of Anansi Boys for the BBC. However, now that Starz/Freemantle is producing American Gods, that plan seems somewhat confused?
read more: American Gods — Everything You Need to Know
We've heard mentions of Red developing Anansi Boys as a TV show from Gaiman over the years, but, more recently, Orlando Jones (who plays Anansi in American Gods) told Vanity Fair that Fuller and Green "wanted to spin it off and pursue that character." Now that Fuller and Green are off of the American Gods TV show bandwagon, however, it's unclear if this project will move forward.
Neverwhere — In Development
Back in 2015, Deadline gave us all hope when it reported that US movie and TV producer Mark Gordon has joined forces with The Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence on a new TV adaptation of Neverwhere, an urban fantasy that takes place in "London Below."
read more: Good Omens Episode 1 Review
Neverwhere began life as a 1996 TV series (featuring Peter Capaldi!) before being turned into a successful novelization and radio drama. Given that Gaiman has announced a Neverwhere sequel called The Seven Sisters, the timing has never been better for a TV adaptation of this beloved fantasy work. However, we haven't heard any updates on the potential of this series since 2015.
Missing, Presumed Dead Adaptations
Chivalry
Gaiman's Smoke And Mirrors short story has actually turned up online in film form as a finals film project by a student at Boston University, which you can see here. However, back in 2002, Harvey Weinstein took out an option on the story, with the idea of writing and directing it himself. It was set to be a short film, but it never, ultimately, happened.
Death: The High Cost Of Living
Warner Bros had been developing this one, potentially as a project for Neil Gaiman to direct himself. Rumors had linked Shia LaBeouf with the male lead, but as Gaiman told Vulture in 2010: "The new powers that be at DC and Warner basically closed everything down."
Whilst Gaiman has admitted it may yet come back to life, it doesn't sound like breath-holding is a good idea. Not, er, that it is at the best of times.
The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish
A good decade old this project, when Sunbow Entertainment looked to do an animated television adaptation of The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish. Sunbow was seeking financing for the project, and footage was reportedly produced, but it didn't get much further. A shame — the plan had been to mix 2D, 3D and photographic elements, with 2D hand drawn characters on top. Not to be, though. Sob.
Murder Mysteries
This one was adapted by David S. Goyer, who told SciFi Wire back in 2004: "I think it's the best script I've ever written." He planned to direct the film take on Murder Mysteries, but the project stalled — and has remained stalled — when a studio wouldn't back it. No word has been heard on a Murder Mysteries film for a good decade.
Please note: This article does not include released projects, or scripts that Gaiman has written based on other peoples' books.

Baby I'm back again lol. Morning InterWorld, how's you doing? I hope you're all safe and well. I hope if you noticed 😊 my new question pics. Don't worry im finally done changing them, I like this bunch. Just a Reminder to use the Link Tree link that's below if you'd like to follow me on my other social media's and do all the things there. I hope your day goes well and with that here are my thoughts on last week's questions...
Tuesday, so the trailer to the up coming Mortal Kombat film to me looks pretty cool. It's a guilty pleasure but I do like the other two films. Yes they are very silly and all that but I do think for the time they were made they worked. Also yes I know the up coming film could be just as silly, so I'm not looking for a grand masterpiece yet I do look forward to seeing these characters in a new way. I hope it doesn't end up words than the original films but I'll still check it out, Fatality 😎.
Thursday, so season 5 of the Masked Singer is going on and I'm of course watching it. I like the guess host in Ms. Nash and the characters so far are pretty cool. I love that (spoilers) the first unmasked character was Kermit the Frog lol. Just goes to show that truly any one could be under the masks. I don't have any winner projections yet due to not seeing group C yet but I do really like Seashell from group A and Blackswan from group B so far 🐚.
Sunday, sense the new Mortal Kombat film is on the way I asked about your favorite fighting games. Mine was always Mortal Kombat, I liked playing as either Kitana or Sindel the most. I was a huge button masher and my brother almost always kicked my butt lol. He liked to play DOA and his favorite character was Hyabusa. That dude was a master with that guy, I never beat him when he used that character 👊.
Let me know what you think and pass the thought along my lovelies 💛.
Stay well and safe Inter World 💗.
