THEY LEFT??? Anon, I'll be so honest, I made my posts as a one-off "hey isn't this kind of weird and funny" thing for my friends and the like 2 followers I have. I woke up today, sick as all hell, opened Tumblr and had hundreds of notifications from people either dming me like "Hey sorry you're being harassed" or sending me anon asks calling me insults for daring to have an opinion on Tumblr. I haven't checked pups account since I made the og post + have ignored most notifications I've gotten since I prefer to have discussions instead of being yelled at. I only knew that they left discord, not THE INTERNET. OVER ONE POST.

It only shocks me how chronically online someone has to be that a single post, where they went completely unnamed, got them so upset they had to LEAVE the INTERNET. And make a post that has made me be actually harassed by random people (most of whom that I can't block if I wanted to since they're sending anon asks) when my post was not harassment by any means and did not tell people to harass her.

Also since it WAS just a miscommunication she could've just... literally DMed me. "Hey Simon, saw your post, here's what I meant: [blah blah blah]" and I would've DELETED IT..???? They could've stopped this whole thing by replying to me on AO3 with an explanation instead of just deleting the original comment those months ago.

Anyways Thanks for being Just As Confused as this whole thing is making me. And for not calling me 6 bajillion slurs like most people in my asks see fit to do right now!

It's so unreal how well Taurus placements can cook. Especially if there's Cancer in the big three. Taurus suns also have natural green thumbs

So for those of you who keep going on and on about "youre a terrible person because you want Colin to grovel" vs the camp that insists "you're a terrible person because you don't want Colin to grovel" I've said it before and I'll say it again: we are all just simply people, and as people we have different preferences, might as well own it and not make others feel bad for liking something we don't.

In my personal case, and I don't speak for all the fandom, this is more of an observation than anything else. Sometimes the fandom likes a TROPE a lot. Independently of the characters they use. The grovelling gentleman happens to be a very popular, very widespread fan favorite trope since the beginning of time. And Polin just happens to have the most potential for it out of all the Bridgerton couples. So we want to see it on screen.

I think it also has to do with the fact that we want the show drama to be on our terms. Friends to lovers, there was only one bed, and then they were roommates, and he grovels for forgiveness. Yes absolutely they're fan favorite tropes for a reason. Because that kind of drama is fun to read about and even more fun to watch.

Also I always find it funny when shippers pretend to have the moral high ground to justify why they're projecting their personal preferences on something fictional. Like ma'm, this is a Wendy's. Bold of you to assume moral high ground didn't leave the building as soon as it saw your internet search history

People need to chill out and just enjoy the ride, its a fictional tv couple in a show with a 3rd season release date you don't even know. Hardly something to be so up in arms about

H3h3 and iddubz don't really mean anything to me outside of their old filthy frank collabs. I actually actively dislike them. Yeah you read that right. Thats why ive tried to make the fact that i am NOT running a cancer crew blog here clear. I just hate iddubz's old solo content. Seeing him beat himself up online nowadays isn't great either but by god his old stuff is so so bad (to me). Internet drama and borderline hate speech is a recipe for disaster and if he was smarter he would have seen this coming. I understand that some people like his older stuff out of nostalgia but i am not affected by this. I was not into YouTube back then. Im still not into YouTube. I only know of him and h3h3 because im obsessed with their old homie. My perspective is different, these people barely mean anything to me.

Ok now, disclaimers aside. Ethan said that joji told him not to call him filthy frank when he was talking about his music and he personally interpreted that as him being embarrassed of his past. Personally its just clear to me that what joji was asking for when he was taking his first steps as a full time music artist was space. Being known as an ex youtuber can kill someones career and considering the sort of content he was making as ff it just doesn't seem weird to me that he wanted to separate the two lol. He gave countless interviews where he mentioned his old content and that he understood why people found it so hard to move on from such an iconic character but that he didn't like conflating the two. And even then, a few years later he was encouraging fans at his concerts to chant filthy frank so i cant help but feel like Ethan's assumption that he is embarrassed and trying to forget it ever happened is baseless and biased. And after that....well. Its pretty clear to me that h3h3 used to be enjoyed by people but its had a pretty obvious dowfall since then. Idc about Ethan's drama (or the man himself for that matter) but to be completely honest i wouldn't keep in contact with him either. Idk if you are one of those people who still enjoy his podcast but to me and to many others it just seems bad. Real bad. A lot of drama and too little substance.

Now Ian...Ian is definitely less clear to me as an outside observer. I may not like ~the old iddubz~ but joji obviously didn't have a problem with him. They always seemed to get along pretty well on all the behind the scenes and going through the cake trilogy together probably means that they developed something similar to a warriors bond. He was fun on their collabs. But alas, sometimes people who used to be close just stop keeping in touch. A lot of Joji's old college friends (pookie/david, the shaman/lewys, wheelz/tyrell) are no longer in contact with him and yet they all speak of him very highly. People online like to act like he somehow ""betrays his roots"" by not keeping up with people he collaborated with on youtube back in the day but youtube isn't his roots lmao. His high school and middle school japan friends have always clearly been very important to him and he never fell out off touch with them. He is often touring alongside Rei Brown and he has mentioned in interviews that he relies on these friendships on his day to day life (admittedly the interview im talking about was from 2018 but there's no reason to assume that he has suddenly stopped talking to people that he has been friends with since he was like 12 years old). At the end of the day he doesn't owe people online to keep in contact with anyone. People grow up and change and not all relationships survive the test of time. And thats okay. Stuff happens, people move on. For what its worth tho, i feel like iddubz's drama driven channel (because lets be fair the content cops were his biggest thing and they were youtube drama no matter how self righteous or fair they seemed at the time) didn't help. The thing about joji is that he had always avoided internet drama like it was the plague, which is once again one of those things that i appreciate deeply about him. I hate internet drama. But even my kinda biased opinion aside, the reality of the situation is probably very simple. They are both grown adults who live very different lives. They hanged out together during a few summers a lot of years ago. They followed different paths in life. It happens. Joji has been very offline for years now and i get the impression that he tends to isolate himself when his health acts up so its probably not that hard to fall out of touch with him.

And last but not least....Max. I won't lie, out of the cancer crew the only other person i actually like besides my man Joji is Max. Maybe he really was closer with Max, i certainly find him more likable. Around 2018 both Joji on twitter and Max on that one cold ones podcast episode said that they still keep in touch. Max was replying to a lot of Joji's tweets up untill the nectar era but once again, at the end of the day they live in different countries. I obviously have no way of knowing if they were still as close as they used to in the following years. Maybe they grew more distant for a while, maybe they reconnected around 2023 when joji took chad and max backstage at his concert, and then of course the wedding !! Its all very sweet, the gimme love Max and Chad video from the concert lowkey made me tear up.

But once again, at the end of the day they are all living their own lives, doing their own thing. And people who act like they owe it to them to be each others everything forever and ever because they met online a decade ago and collaborated on some extremely iconic videos make me laugh.

I think discourse between people on any topic is just… so uniquely interesting. Everyone has their opinion and although we all get mad and sad or really really excited, I like to just enjoy it sometimes. Because yeah, it’s upsetting and awful sometimes but sometimes it can be really really beautiful and fun. “It’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all” right?

Granted, I am not a people person. I have my own opinions and get riled up easily. Most people wear me out to the point where I don’t want to spend more than an hour interacting with anyone. But observing humanity is one of life’s greatest pleasures and it is a shame that many of the truly intelligent and kind people don’t talk to others or even go outside because not many others do. It is a shame that most talk of series you’ve watched and enjoyed for “x” reason or talk of music and how profound it can be is often only found on the internet. It is a shame that most people never show who they truly are for fear of judgement.

Most people who tend not to be as weird as me and my friends are, tend to talk about whatever drama is happening in their social circles every day and I wonder if it ever gets tiring for them. Sure, it keeps things interesting. Even from an outside perspective! But at the same time I was once somewhat part of a friend group like that and personally I prefer discussing personal stories of funny things that happened to us at some point or another and random questions or fandoms we think each other would like or are just obsessed with for the time being as opposed to who is in an argument with someone else creating tension within the group. I feel like many of those people would be better off just finding new friends or talking about their interests. Many people consider it very strange or annoying when you go on and on about your hobbies but if we all look and act as strange as we actually are then nobody is strange. We’re all just… us.

Sometimes I wonder… if the internet didn’t exist how different would myself and the people around me be? I grew up with it existing but also didn’t have much access to it when I was little aside from watching tv even when most of my peers did. I wonder what we’d all be like if it didn’t exist at all. Would we be better people? Would we communicate better?… would I still know and hang out with my current friends? That isn’t to say the internet is all bad. The people just here on tumblr definitely make me smile quite a bit from how fun and nice they can be. Heck, I made a drawing for someone and although I was anxious of their reaction, when they get excited I was on cloud nine for the next couple days! But I do think that more of us need to check how online we are.

I think you're pretty on the money to say that the timing is probably the main factor re: the differences between Chappell and Taylor. Chappell is not only older than Taylor was when Fearless blew up, but has the luxury of having been old enough to see not only how the 2000s went in terms of Britney, Paris etc but the 2010s where it was no longer enough to be a "good girl" (something Taylor has spoken about and I'm thinking about re: 1989 era Taylor/Snakegate). Fans and the media will prop you up and strip everything from these women just to abandon them and act like they're entitled for speaking out on it regardless of how much the public deems each woman "deserves". I also wonder if part of it just comes from a general societal change (especially "post" pandemic) where less people are defining themselves by their jobs and generally keeping that part of their life separate from the rest (just the other day there was a set of stories written about how less younger Australians are going for after work drinks/events in part because of this as one example). Either way though, I agree with Chappell and hope that it causes a good shift in the industry for these artists.

Yeah, these are all great points! It’s funny (not funny) because there kind of were TWO generational cycles of “we are majorly building some women up in pop music now LETS DESTROY THEM PIT THEM AGAINST ONE ANOTHER MAKE THEM GO CRAZY ETC” - it’s devastating that no one learned the first time, but the second time, when it happened to Taylor, maybe it really did cause a wider ricochet and wake some people up. And it’s interesting how the intersection of just, like, societal consciousness / feminism / etc, AND Taylor being extremely loud about what happened to her and not letting people forget, contributed to those things and women openly being like, “no, we’re not doing this now”

I also think the part of what you said about work life balance being true for celebs is interesting and definitely a major component! Similarly it’s a fascinating shift in course because I think musicians - both that I’ve observed in media, and who I know personally - who write about their life, their career is part of their life because it - touring, the very act of writing music, being driven enough to want a career in music, etc, is such a key component of who they are, so they write songs about experiences had in conjunction with this, etc. it sort of becomes all-consuming. Going off of this, it’s interesting because the musicians I know who have distanced themselves from that have done so because sharing themselves doesn’t feel like fun anymore; it really is a job: instead of haphazard blog posts and vlogs like Taylor might have made, I think nowadays, due to the reach of social media, you have to be careful about everything you say. And that’s not in a Republican, like, “hurrr durrr everyone’s offended by everything!!!!” thing, but it’s like… so many different groups of people can be enraged or create something out of virtually nothing if you say the wrong thing or even say nothing at all, from every angle ever (Taylor not being able to speak on Vienna is an obviously extreme example, but it is one, or even something as mundane as the Olivia & Conan vs Taylor drama - which I think is real, but my reasoning why is admittedly founded in next to nothing), to the point where it can be dangerous to your safety if you fuck up because people on the internet in this day and age are NUTS and love to create drama. Everything has the potential to be a PR disaster if TikTok decides to create a Thing out of it. So it leaves even sharing yourself just feeling like work in a way I don’t think it used to. Which, then, like you said, creates a want for you to exist outside your work.

I'll note first that I'm having a different conversation here than the ad nauseam one about an artist's right to own and profit off their intellectual property. We do not disagree on this point, I am staunchly in favor, always, of independent artists staking claim on what is theirs and protecting themselves with ownership and copyright. What I'm against is corporate abuse of this protection, because literally what do they need it for, they are billionaires. Eat my ass, my life has only been made worse learning that Disney tried to fucking copyright the names Thor and Loki. So, let's digress.

I'm coming at this from a background of having grown up on adoptables RPG forums circa Gaiaonline, it was a large portion of my internet community life; the concept of an adoptables RPG is tangentially related to shared universes. They have similar DNA: a collection of people all flocking to a concept and, through communal effort, build the canon together. It's non-commital, it's more than just you and some friends creating a story, it's a little like an open RPG except you get to keep whatever you made up if you decide you're jumping ship from Gaia to Deviantart because let's say you got into a weird internet fight once with a 22 year old over a PNG you paid fake money for, and have decided you really just don't need that kind of drama in your life now that you've turned 17.

Where they differ is in the most important aspect of one being open source by permission, and the other by design.

Collaborative works like Orion's Arm, or SCP for a more mainstream example, are fascinating examples of what I mean. The dedication to building open source fictional backdrops anyone can use for anything, for profit or not, that nobody can solely own. Of course, I feel like these examples exist so perfectly because the sci-fi genre has itself always been this way. D&D is also this way. Those are nice points of inspirational reference, but they're only two genres. Very specific genres, at that.

Because you have to sometimes consider, there exist people who want to write, or want to create, who are likely very good at these things, but struggle to come up with an """""original""""" idea within their topic of interest. Maybe their interest is so niche it's impossible to separate it from the original point of inspiration (see: every time someone calls out typing quirks as homestuck derivative) Alternatively are the people good at coming up with a multitude of ideas based on one topic, but no good at stringing them together into some kind of cohesive idea, or maybe just lack the motivation to do it. Not everything has to be a thing, sometimes you just want to share an idea in a way that matters without it being your magnum opus. Yeah, you could post them into the screaming void of the social media abyss, though it's hardly a satisfying compromise.

Imagine the work that could be created if there were genres upon genres of open source worldbuilding projects, and the safety of knowing the idea you're riffing off of hurts no one to use, as being riffed off of is its intended purpose for existing. Nobody owns it! We all agreed to that at the start! Go nuts! Sell it, if you want to!

"You're just describing fandom AU", yes, dear reader, astute observation. Shared universes are, to me, the natural evolution of a fandom. Instead of only joking about how, after a point, an AU is just an original story, or a certain amount of headcanons creates a whole new character, you take that joke to its logical conclusion. Maybe it goes under recognized as the next step up because we're all so focused on making fun of people for it, but to say so risks sounding spicy.

Anyway, I love collaborative storytelling, I love shared universes and open source material, so much so that I want to bake it into my own art projects. I want there to be more free art created and curated by independent artists, ensuring struggling independent artists who can't afford to be free are able to make their living. I want art to be more accessible beyond just access to products. I have exhausted the SCP wiki, and hunger.

Hi BPP! Before you run off, lose your mind over D-Day, etc., there's a question I have, only tangentially related to BTS, and I don't know who else could give me a knowledgeable opinion. I've read some harsh criticism of Taehyung for his friendship with Park Bo Gum because PBG is homophobic. These Tae critics (possibly antis) talk as though this is a well-known fact. But Googling I couldn't find definitive evidence that he is homophobic. I see that PBG was raised in and still belongs to a non-mainstream, anti-LGBTQ Christian church and this seems to be the basis for thinking he's personally anti-LGBTQ. My understanding is that essentially all Korean Christian churches are anti-LGBTQ. (Is that right?) Are Tae's critics jumping to unwarranted conclusions? If Tae and Bo Gum aren't particularly close, would Tae even know one way or the other? Or am I being naïve? From life experience, I'm wary of Christians I don't know well but also aware that for some, their faith, particularly the one they were raised in, is too important for them to let go despite being/open to/loving LGBTQ people. Sorry if this is too off-topic from all the fun mayhem going on right now!!!

I don't recall seeing any definitive proof that Bogum is homophobic outside of his (apparent) religious beliefs which just seem to me to be 'conservative protestant'. The religious leader Lee Cho Suk is known more for his association to Park than any of his church practices. But even just as an average Korean guy, Bogum being homophobic wouldn't be surprising. Most Korean people are homophobic whether or not they're religious. The more open-minded people believe in a 'don't ask don't tell' approach, and a growing tiny minority are fully accepting.

The question of Bogum's homophobia in k-pop circles is kind of funny to me because he's been accused of everything from being gay himself and just in the closet, to being an unabashed homophobe, to being a self-hating gay homophobe. And all these theories (circulated by k-drama and k-pop stans) are mostly based on how he interacts with fellow celebrities, and guilt by association to his church/cult. But he's attended other churches at various points and there's no definitive proof Bogum today is homophobic. The reason anybody this side of the internet cares is because of Tae, and that fact alone colours what many people think Bogum believes.

Meaning, for people who already dislike Tae, they're more inclined to think his bff is definitely homophobic, while people who are indifferent to Tae could believe either possibility, and those who love Tae (especially taekookers), believe Bogum could be gay himself, just in the closet. This split in beliefs is very typical for k-pop lol. I kinda wish more people just let that man be.

Bogum's views are not something that have ever registered for me much, I don't really think about or follow him ever, so sorry if this answer isn't all that helpful for you. All the above is what I've observed though.

EDIT: I just saw your question on if all Korean churches are anti-LGBT+, my family isn't religious so I can't say definitively... I don't have any experience going to them, but given the overall culture I'd hazard a guess that yeah most churches in Korea are homophobic.

Tips to not fall into unnecessary anger (long post below)

this is meant to help anyone who is having problems with getting caught up in things that have no immediate harmful repercussions but are in an environment that makes them feel like they have to care about very trivial discussion that gets sparked out in any kind of social media or even just with friend groups, or feeling like they lash out very quickly at any person that just annoys them a bit, i know its hard but i know you can get out there and work on your own emotions to not end up driving people away. 

im not a certified therapist or anything like that, im just an overly observant autistic schizoaffective 20 something who has learned from up and downs of trying to socialize in my late teens when i had been caught up in my own head without understanding how people work, for years. i can only hope anything i say can help even just a little!

take care of yourselves and dont be afraid to share this around for either yourself or someone you care about who could be going through a similar situation.

“NO! No no no no.” Kathryn paces up and down in her hotel room. “HOW DID THEY KNOW?”

Jennifer, who is sitting on the couch, computer in her hands, looks at Agnes, who is leaning against the wall. “I’m so sorry, Kathryn.”

“This is a disaster!” She looks devastated.

“Actually, it’s press and any press is good press. PLUS, Jeffrey is a good catch.” Jennifer scans another article.

Kathryn paces towards her, takes the computer out of her hands and sits down on the couch herself as Jennifer gets up to give her some space. Leaning back into the pillows, the actress looks like a mess. A grey tank top falls loosely of her shoulders and her unbrushed hair frames her face that is in painful distress. She puts the computer down on the tiny desk next to the couch and reads an article discussing if Jeffrey and her are Hollywood’s new favorite couple.

The article promises an update and as she clicks on the link provided, she looks at very private pictures taken of herself in her hotel room. Someone must have added the numbers up and figured out where she was staying to stalk and observe her through the window that she, stupidly, didn’t close right away last night. A short series of pictures shows her in front of the window, Jeffrey behind her. Him right in front of her as he leans in for a kiss. Another one of her getting undressed. Another one of him in just his underwear during a photo shoot for another project.

Stressed and in disbelief, she doesn’t even finish reading the captions and quickly sits up again to smack the device closed. Shaking her head, she stares at the floor.

“Kathryn? Are you okay?” Agnes asks cautiously.

“Honey? Are you okay?” Alex asks as you continuously stare at your screen with empty eyes.

You continue staring. “Y/N! You worry me.”

Alex sits down again and places the phone next to her so you look like you are sitting righty with her on the couch. She has been trying to calm you down ever since she got up this morning. Right as she read the first article, she knew the situation was bad.

“Hey… it’ll all make sense in the end. She wouldn’t do that. You know that! You know the press!” Alex really tries and you appreciate it, yet, right now, it’s hard for you to show your gratitude.

“Hm…” you hum and nod with empty eyes.

Ever since you’ve read the article, you have been waiting for Kathryn to reach out. She must have seen it. Jennifer must have seen it. Maybe they all did and it’s the truth and that’s why no one is saying anything.

Alex looks at you again. “It’s probably rumors! You know how it works.” More than ever before, she wishes she could simply wrap you you up in a long and loving hug and make you feel better. Sometimes, it’s hard for her to believe that you’ve been friends for as long as you have and the actress you are bonding about had more physical contact with you than she did. What a story to tell.

“I know,” you say, but the pictures keep being projected inside your head, “but the pictures. These… the pictures! His hands, the hotel, her not talking to me. It all just adds up.”

Alex sighs. You do, too. You both sit in silence.

Still staring at the floor, Kathryn tenses. “Oh my god.”

The other woman stare at her with raised eyebrows.

“Y/N!! I was thinking about the press and all and totally forgot.. she must have read it! OH GOD. She… she…”

“You should probably call her…” Agnes nods.

Jennifer shakes her head. “Not now. You’re way too emotional over all of this. We should organize the press first. Write a statement if you really want to. But really, it isn’t that big of a deal.”

Agnes turns around harshly and faces Jennifer with a stern look on her face. “Excuse me, can you please be her friend again for a minute?” she points at Kathryn, “does she look like it’s not that big of a deal?”

They both face Kathryn again, who has gotten up to get dressed. Without another word, she walks past her friends and employees and storms out of the door, on her way to discuss the matter with Jeffrey.

Meanwhile, Jennifer decides to take matters into her own hands, since Kathryn seems to be way too distressed to hold a serious conversation today. Rumors about her client being with someone aren’t exactly new, but pictures taken of private situations are unacceptable. Without consulting Kathryn again, she decides to publish the statement right away to help her friend.

It’s been two days since the incident and Kathryn hasn’t contacted you yet. Heartbroken, you got updated on the story as her team released a statement declaring that Kathryn wants to keep her privacy and asks for the pictures to be removed off of the internet.

You wish she would’ve called you, or at least texted, but little did you know that she got into a fight with Jeffrey as his team called the pictures good press for him and decided to not do anything about it. Following that, Jennifer took Kathryn’s phone away so that the actress could fully concentrate on the project for the rest of the week of shooting. A rule written into the contract by Kathryn herself, as she is aware she gets carried away from time to time.

Right as she has her phone back, she runs for an empty space and tries to call you. It’s the early afternoon and you are in an online class as your phone starts ringing. Reading her name, your heart drops to the floor. All the stress adds up and gets combined with the anger you feel inside of you. You take the call.

Her face fills the screen and her eyes widen as she sees the state you are in. “Honey, I’m so sorry.”

There is a moment of silence. A moment of silence where a storm is raging inside you. “NO. No. You don’t get to be like that. You don’t get to break my heart and then come back apologizing, asking me to pretend nothing happened!” Kathryn’s mouths is slightly agape and her even widen even more. She listens. “I gave you my heart, Kathryn! My time. Do you really think I’m whoring around? Staying with older woman to play round just like that? Is that what you think I am? A toy?”

You are enraged and the words keep coming and you want to call her names and scream, hold onto her and look into her eyes. But you can’t. You can’t and that’s why your words are turning into a waterfall of emotions and you yell at her as she doesn’t have a chance to react in any way.

“I can’t believe myself,” you shake your head. “I offer myself to you and there you are. Going out and sleeping with a man. A MAN. Excuse me for not having a career. Excuse me for not having a six pack like your new friend does. What the fuck, Kathryn. What the actual fuck.”

Kathryn realizes you saw the pictures. Of course you did. She raises her hand to give you a signal that she wants to talk. Your mouth, ready to rant again, closes and you look at her.

She takes a breath. “It isn’t true.”

“It…. Isn’t?” You squint your eyes.

“It isn’t.”

“Come and spend the night with me.”

Kathryn swirls around. “WHAT?”

Before she can help herself, she finds herself pinned against a table that is close to the window. Jeffreys face is only inches away as he slowly starts to lean in.

“STOP.” She says and tries to lean back.

Obviously confused, Jeffrey looks at her. “I thought we had a great night. What’s the problem, sweetheart? Don’t you miss having with… other people?” He smiles.

Kathryn shakes her head. “I’m… I’m seeing someone, Jeffrey. I’m sorry if this came across wrong but tonight wasn’t a date.”

He distances himself from her, utter disbelief plastered across his face. “Oh no.”

“Don’t worry, it’s not a problem. I just… I can’t. You’re a great man, but, no.”

He is still putting space in between them, looking at her with worried eyes. “Kathryn, I would’ve never. I thought you were flirting. I thought you sent signs. God, I am sorry for coming this close to you.. I… I’m just gonna leave, alright? Okay! Good night, Kathryn.”

“JEFF!” She calls for him before he can close the door. “You’re a good looking man. I bet lots of woman would kill to be me right now, but please, ask. Don’t just assume. Yeah?”

He nods and with that he leaves her room. As the door falls into its lock, Kathryn undresses her blazer and shirt and remembers to close the curtains before stripping completely to hop into the shower.

“No. And I would never do that to you.” She looks at you with sad eyes. “And I can’t believe you would think I do.”

You look at each other for a moment and the sad smile on her face breaks your heart once again.

“I would never….” She repeats, whispering quietly, but loud enough for you to notice. “I would never, because….”

She stops and looks up to lock eyes with you. You are both crying and your heartbeat skips a few beats and you think you might actually pass out any second.

“I would never because I am falling. For you. I would never because I think I am in love with you.”

okay i totally jsut realized i jumped back into using this site like i didnt delete my entire old blog. so. you might be asking: "julia who the fuck are hanamoto and fujimaru and why do you keep tagging posts as them" they are two of my favorite characters for two totally different reasons and i would do anything for them

this is going to get long. fair warning. i'm just gotta put a cut

fujimaru is fujimaru takagi from bloody monday. i dont recommend you read bloody monday i'm just irrationally attached to the series because it got me through a time. i literally only have these pics of him and otoya for some reason but fujimaru's the one with the dark hair

he's my worst son and i would do anything for him. he's a hacker and the series has some of the funniest scenes where he ends up teaming up with a counterterrorism unit called Third I and all his companions are in a circle kicking peoples asses around fujimaru who is hunched over a laptop furiously typing like "5 more minutes guys, i got this!!" he's a weak little shithead nerd and i woudn't have it any other way. i have a tattoo of a falcon as a long joke about this guy (also because falcons rule). he's not my first bird aligned fave but he's sure up there on characters that impacted me. i totally didnt realize how many emotions i still have about this guy until i started writing this part of this post. if i reread bloody monday i'm sorry (i'm not sorry) it's the residual fujimaru in my brain.

one time i think in bm2 he blew up a whole room by scattering a bunch of flour in the air, turned directly to the camera, and said "the internet can teach you anything!" he is a menace to society.

bloody monday 1 is good, bloody monday 2 is okay, i do not talk about bloody monday last season. the drama adaptions are, to my recollection, fine! but also i last watched them about 10 years ago so take that with a grain of salt.

fun fact, the guy who plays otoya in the bloody monday drama(s) is the same guy who plays den-o. i haven't seen den-o but its just another one of the "the descent into toku was prophesized" moments like me being obsessed with okkusenman as a kid.

i would say i think otoya and fujimaru should kiss but i think fujimaru doesn't deserve otoya. otoya is too good for him.

hanamoto is shuji hanamoto from honey & clover. he is my UM UM UM HE'S MY UH HE;S WHEN when you um when you feel what dyou he's uhhhh him. he's he. he's the guy in my icon :)

shuji hanamoto makes me feel every emotion known to man. i dont know what the juice is that was put in him that makes him so poppin. a couple years back i was chatting with a friend at the time about the series and we were like "yeah the beauty of honey and clover is that each time you read it you relate with a different character more" which is absolutely true but also 100% the bitch of all time has to be hanamoto for me. i started reading this series in shojo beat magazine back in middle school to give perspective on how long this man has haunted me.

should i get into hanamoto gay theory? i think i should get into hanamoto gay theory. mostly because i can't recommend the series knowing the ending unless i tell you about (and make sure you're also subscribed to) hanamoto gay theory. hanamoto is blatantly in love with his old (dead) college buddy harada and it hurts me to my core. please observe:

ME, MY BOYFRIEND, AND MY BOYFRIEND'S WIFE. they weren't just friends to me, they were my world. and before anyone tries to tell me this means that hanamoto must also have feelings for rika, the way that he acts around her is like, borderline paternal. harada is like the only one that he shows anything romantic towards, he's just a dad to everyone else really. he's protective but that doesn't equate romantic. which, i am not going to spoil the whole series, but it makes sense. god. oh to be two boys and breathe the same air... oh to be two boys and make art together and spend the most precious time of your life together in the same home and eat the same food and breathe the same air.

Why did you choose your url?

Eulalia means ‘sweetly speaking’ or ‘well spoken’, and when I was picking my latest internet pseudonym (b/c I’m a 90s baby and grew up hearing to NEVER use your real name on the internet or you will DIE) I went for something aspirational. I’m better at writing than talking, haha. The ‘sims’ part is probably obvious.

Season 4, Episode 4 - Mr Pigeon 72

I have no idea where to start. This episode has some good things and some extremely stupid.

Marinette isn't still completely fine, but I prefer when she deals with it through being hyperactive than being a whining crybaby.

I know people don't agree with me, but personally I don't buy the whole revealing identity to Alya. It's not a problem with Alya herself, I would say the same about every single character who is not named Alix Kubdel at this point of the story. I haven't written anything in my post about Gang of Secrets, because I thought it would be undone in some way at the start of the next episode. The creators did nothing to explain why revealing identity of Ladybug to anyone was super dangerous and would result in a catastrophe in seasons 1-3 and the first two episodes of S4, but it's magically fine in episode 3. Only Alix made sense to me, as she will be the rabbit Miraculous holder, so she is destined to discover identities of everyone sooner or later and Marinette is aware of that. While it's not necessary to learn identity of anyone to other temporary Miraculous wielders, including Alya. Also that reveal hasn't been foreshadowed in season 3, while the show usually does it, especially if it's about something as important as that! More, in late S3, it's been shown that Alya still can't resist to not talking about Marinette's love life with Nino, despite she asked her to not do it. Now the girl, who is overly excited about superhero stuff, has no problems with even accidental revealing anything to Nino or someone else. She's even "stealing" Bunnix line that she's great at keeping secrets (sorry but you, the creators, haven't shown us that she's indeed is before!). This is why I think that reveal hasn't been planned before they started writing season 4.

But okay, I can deal with it, even if I don't buy it, but things these happened in Mr. Pigeon 72 are even more inconsistent with previous seasons. I have been worried about it, so it doesn't surprised me. For some reason Guardian related-things that have been kept in a secret before from everyone minus current Guardian and the future Guardian, are now fine being done in front of Kwamis (remember, they haven't been allowed to learn about making potions before!) and a civilian who is just a temporal Miraculous holder, not someone who is supposed to be trained to be a new Guardian. You can say - new Guardian, new rules, but why? Marinette has been portrayed as someone who respect authorities, she has never questioned any Fu's rules. It wasn't even said in the episode that she's going to change the rules. I hate that the writers don't even bother to explain us what's going on. Probably they don't bother about consistency, they think the audience is going to be too excited about Alya knowing Ladybug's identity and helping Marinette to question anything about it? How Alya could be allowed to learn the Guardian secrets? She is just best friend of the protagonist, she is not one of the main characters to get that special treatment. I makes zero sense to me. Especially since Su-Han will be introduced in episode 6 and he should help Marinette with understanding the Grimoire, Alya isn't necessary here for any other reason than fanservice.

In my opinion the way how they discovering how to make charms that protects from akumasitation was the most stupid thing that happened this season and one of the most in the whole show. Marinette who is the new Guardiand and portrayed as someone extreme intelligent and creative couldn't find the solution for days, but Alya with zero training magically discovered it in a few hours at worst. And when she told her the solution in not even very clear way, Ladybug did it immediately with no effort. That was so anticlimactic. At least the animation was fine, but other aspects of it was just a big disappointment, and I was looking forward for it. Thank goodness it's just the beginning of the season, I hope later important events of the season will be better written and portrayed.

Also I find it absurd that Rena Rough is walking with a page from the Grimoire like it's just an ordinary book and she's talking about it in front of a random civilian, like things that are written there are nothing special. She or Ladybug are not careful about Miraculous lore anymore. Not to mention that they are giving hints that Rena is very close to Ladybug in public, suspiciously close. And now with them being too careless, that's not hard to suspect that Rena Rouge is someone very close to Ladybug, maybe even as a civilian. Shadow Moth knows Rena Rouge's identity, and it's easy to him to learn who is Alya Cesaire's best friend if he doesn't know it yet, after all his son is in the class with her. Marinette has always been super careful and serious about her duties before, why that sudden change with zero explanation? It's just very out of character to her in my opinion.

I didn't like the akuma battle either, it's now the worst fight of the season in my opinion. It was so short and felt very lazy. I only liked that Plagg got some action and interaction with Ladybug (though it should be suspicious for her that he managed to reach to her that fast). He should be aware now that Alya knows Ladybug's identity but he acts like nothing happened. Not a word about it being unfair towards his kid or something, weird.

Thankfully the rest of the episode is generally more or less fun to me. It was nice to see Marinette and Kagami interacting again. I loved Kagami in the episode, although it was a bit weird to me that she isn't seemed to be affected by her breaking up with Adrien. Like her crush was very shallow, so she managed to recover herself from it very quickly. While it's been shown that Luka is hurt, despite Lukanette always seemed to be much more shallow than Adrigami in my opinion. But maybe it's because she's so down to earth, so being less emotional makes sense for her character. I liked how her attitude was opposite to Marinette's hyperactive: "No, I don't want to be in a relationship with Adrien again, he disappointed me, just let me live!!!". And she's another character who said that Marinette and Adrien are made for each other. I'm not surprised that Kagami sees it now when she tried to be with him and that didn't work. She's observant, sees more than many other characters. It seems she's an Adrienette shipper now. It's also good that her issue with Adrien wasn't resolved that easily and too fast. They need more time, but I'm sure they will be friends again.

So, we've gotten shirtless Adrien. I remember seeing a tweet of Thomas in which he answered to a question if there will be a beach episode and he said we will get something similar. I wonder if he meant this episode. Oh, they just remembered that Adrien is supposed to be allergic to feathers. It seems Adrien has allergic reactions only when it's somewhat related to the plot. When it's not, he's completely fine.

The reference to the famous Umbrella Scene™ out of nowhere in a random episode? It probably means something. I can see "reverse crush" supporters interpreting it as a proof to their theory, especially since this time Adrien did something clumsy and Marinette is laughing because of it (actually both of them). Or maybe because it's the first episode of season 4 with Marinette and Adrien interactions, they decided to be that much gracious for Adrienette fans, to compensate lack of it in the first three episodes. Oh wow, Marinette managed to propose spending more time together to Adrien without stuttering. Probably because she has done it spontaneously. Marinette is the most nervous when she's planning and thinking what could go wrong too much. This time she had no time to it, so it went more smoothly. It's like they building development of their relationship, but it didn't seem in Guiltrip (that's episode 11 chronologically) that something changed.

Seeing screenshot above, you can easily imagine how great friends they could be, being very comfortable around each other and laughing together, if not Marinette's anxiety. We need Adrienette development so much to get more moments like this.

Oh and I just realized that it's also one of the veeeeery few episodes with no real Ladynoir at all (the only other one I remember is Style Queen). So if there was no Adrienette it would be an episode without interactions of two main characters at all (although we almost got Ladrien). It could be another reason why this episode is that nice for Adrien and Marinette ship.

After seeing overly excited Marinette dancing in the rain, I can't believe she can manage completely give up on Adrien. It doesn't look like this at all.

Also we've seen three photos of Adrien wearing THAT scarf. It could not mean nothing different that foreshadowing that he's going to discover the truth about it somewhere this season. But I have no idea what Ladybug's mask with shining eyes could mean.

I don't know what to think about the episode. Despite absurd Guardian-related things, I still liked it much more than Gang of Secrets, but I have no idea if I generally enjoyed it more than other episodes of this season or not. At least it's an episode without stupid drama, which is amazing.

I'm currently less active on social media, because my internet connection is very unstable, it often works very slowly to the point I'm not patient enough to visit Tumblr. Also I block spoiler tags again, because I don't want to see spoilers from the episodes those are going to be released very soon, as I feel that they reveal too much to me once more. We're currently in a marathon of the new episodes and since watching them is the more more enjoyable, the less I know about them, I decided to try avoid spoilers as much as I can. The only bad thing is that I can't be read discussions about the new episodes, reblog them and adding something from me until Optigami will be aired.

I just watched snack wars. I’m a little bit of an amateur on body language but i cant help but feel that Lando is deliberately shutting out Danny. He’s playing along for the content but it seems like he’s giving cold vibes and avoiding eye contact with him. I dont want start drama but it’s something I’ve noticed since the start of the season

I think I do get what you're trying to say but rather than deliberately shutting him out it feels like he genuinely doesn't find him funny and doesn't want to fake it either?

Like it feels like many of the things DR said that were intended to be jokes fell kind of flat and LN didn't try to make a funny reply either?

At the end too, when DR said "swipe up" and LN corrected him, there was a bit of a funny undertone but that soon disappeared too when LN was just observing DR with the www. stuff? I feel like the joking/funny intention is there, it's just not carried through. It feels like that happens more and that's why the video feels a bit "flat" to me.

Then again, this is only the first video. If you compare DR to Carlos Sainz you notice that the two of them seem to have a different way of joking (at least to me), in which Carlos used to go more with Lando's flow than Daniel does right now.

They might just need more time to adjust to each other, which hopefully goes easier too when both of their performances on track are up to their own wishes/standards.
