        “LISTEN, I’M NOT LETTING YOU ring in the new year in some thrifted get up...sorry.” dax informed his friend, one of the few, as he waited outside the dressing room door at the designer store in the shopping center near their little safe haven. “you’ll thank me, i’m sure you look great....c’mon, come out already.”

        IT WAS WEIRD WHEN someone you were close to became a stranger, but it was even weirder when you had to refigure out how to not be a stranger with a past all over again (if that made any sense, in teddy’s head it does). but if there was anyone that was up for the challenge and could overcome it, it was the youngest zeus child. the last few months were steady progress, but he still liked to poke fun at his friend, and as he saw him leaving the cinema he tip toed over to speak near his ear, “you know, at this point, you’re pretty predictable...” grinning a bit, he waited until rostam turned around before pursing his lips together, “seems like no amount of time apart from you will wash away just how well i know you, looks like you really are stuck with me.”

         IN ALL HONESTY, she hadn’t meant to fall asleep this time, but the plot line of this indie flick was just too complex for her to keep up with. the theater was practically a ghost town besides her, rostam, and a few other lingering souls. at least she made it about h a l f w a y through before she dozed off, curling her knees to her chest and tucking her chin into them to drift into a small little cat nap. at this point, the theater was like a second home to her, finding any and all positions to keep comfortable in the seats was sort of a skill under her belt now. it wasn’t until she heard a loud noise signaling the end of the film that her eyes fluttered open, already feeling her cheeks heat up with a blush as she glanced over at her friend, “whaaaat? wow, that was...a movie, wasn’t it?” as if she probably hadn’t been caught, she gave them a small, apologetic smile, stretching her legs out in front of her as she sighed. “okay, so m a y b e i dozed off for like ten minutes.”
