When Steve Harrington starts getting threatening texts from an unknown number, he tries to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that every choice he makes could have major consequences. His choices matter, and so do yours. So, what’s it gonna be? (An interactive modern day AU! by @steviesbicrisis and @hairstevington)

Ugh. Hargrove.

The guy was just - he really sucked, and Steve wished he was fucking gone. Now he was threatening Henderson? No way. Steve was going to settle this once and for all. Billy wasn’t going to mess with him anymore, he’d make sure of it.

Of course, Dustin was at the stupid concert. Steve really wanted to avoid it, but obviously he would do anything to protect his friends. He headed off to the Fairgrounds, practicing his speech to Billy the whole drive.

Listen to me, asshole. You’re gonna stay away from me and you’re definitely gonna stay away from my friends, or else. Got it?

By the time Steve got to the concert, it was winding down. People were pouring into the parking lot and speeding away in their cars. Steve knew that the kids planned on sticking around afterwards in hopes of meeting the band, so he figured they’d still be there.

It was kind of scary, being there alone at night. Robin was around somewhere, though, so that gave him some peace. He could probably just say her name three times and she’d appear beside him.

He continued looking for his friends as the place emptied out, feeling chills down his spine with every passing moment.

And then, he heard Billy’s voice. He sounded angry, as always. Steve followed the voice, puffing his chest out and trying to make himself look as intimidating as possible.

“Hargrove,” he said once he rounded the corner. Billy was alone, and he smiled the moment he realized it was Steve approaching him.

“Harrington!” he cheered wickedly. “To what do I owe the pleasure?” Steve rolled his eyes.

“You’re gonna leave us alone,” Steve demanded. “Me, Dustin, my other friends, all of us.” Billy smiled, fearlessly closing the gap between him and Steve until their faces were inches apart.

“Or what?” Billy teased between gritted teeth. “What are ya gonna do to me, Steve? You think you could take me down?”

Steve swallowed. Something about Billy always brought out his worst, most violent urges. Truthfully, Steve knew he wouldn’t win in a fight with Hargrove, and yet - he threw the first punch.

Steve’s fist clocked into Billy’s jaw. He laughed in response, then tried to hit back, but Steve dodged it. He was doing well at first - keeping up, at least - and then Billy got the upper hand.

Steve fell to the floor. Billy got on top of him. There was punch after punch after punch, and then everything went black.

When Steve came to, his ears were ringing and his head felt like it was going to explode. He’d failed. He’d come here to protect Dustin, and now who knew where he was or if he was safe? Steve sat up, and that’s when he saw that he still wasn’t alone.

Billy was on the floor across from him, sitting up with his back to the wall. He wasn’t moving. Steve couldn’t see much in the dim light, so he used his phone to get a better look.

Oh.

Oh, shit. There was blood everywhere, all stemming from stab wounds to the stomach and cuts on his arms.

Billy was dead.

Steve jumped backwards, falling over and skittering across the floor to get as much distance from the body as possible. This wasn’t happening. No, this wasn’t - who could have done this?

His shaky hand went back to his phone, which he’d dropped on the floor upon his discovery. He picked it up to call the police, because that’s what he knew he was supposed to do next. Even in his shock, he knew that’s what he had to do.

He dialed 9-1-1, and then his phone buzzed.

Thinking about Lucas after the championship game right now. I know we can see Steve cheering him on like all hell in the background (which i fucking love) + Robin & Nancy are also there, so I imagine at least Robin and Steve meet up after the game,

Steve tells the girl who he's on a date with to wait up for him or something, and he runs to find Robin after the game, since she's in band.

He sees Robin, and starts excitedly ranting about the shot Lucas got. Robin basically just nods, not really knowing what he's saying at all, but yk, jock bestfriend stuff. They both laugh at the fact Tammy Thompson was there too.

Lucas walks out and Steve cheers at him, waving him down, Robin laughing, shaking her head at his excitement, yet happy, she never really gets to see Steve like this, since all of their friends are nerds, besides Lucas. Lucas smiles at them, just happy that at least some of his friends came to his game, even if it's basically his baby sitter and said babysitter's quirky coworker.

Steve hugs Lucas and goes on another rant about the shot, this time having someone who actually understands what happened also nodding along. Lucas is overjoyed about it, given the fact he'd been stopping by Steve's house at ungodly hours (steve is usually awake when he comes anyway) to ask for basketball tips.

Jason or someone else from the team calls out to him, saying they're gonna have an after party. Lucas say's he'll be right there to join them. Steve's face kinda drops a little, and he puts a hand on Lucas's shoulder. Lucas winces, expecting a full on 'you're not going anywhere young man!' talk from him.

"Be careful, alright? Don't take anything suspicious and keep an eye on any drinks you have, don't take any drinks that people give you either. Also, know your limits. Got it, Sinclair?" Steve says, instead.

Lucas kind of blinks at him for a second, a bit stunned.

"Oh uh, got it." He answers, giving Steve a thumbs up. Steve smiles and hugs him again.

"Have fun!" Steve calls out as Lucas leaves. Steve sighs, his hands on his hips as the kid walks away.

It's crazy to think Lucas is a freshman now, he's trying to loosen up a bit more. But, obviously he's trying not to turn Lucas into another King Steve. No keg stands, for the love. But Steve remembers going to his first Highschool party after a big game, it was memorable, and important.

"Don't you have someone waiting for you, Dingus?" Robin says, snapping Steve out of his thoughts.

"Shit- you're right."

omg these billy apologists are getting worse the ones i’ve interacted with just deny that he was racist and abusive but this person fully knows that he is but is still defending him cause “it was just the 80s so he’s allowed to be racist and hate crime a 13 year old” and “he was abused himself so it’s okay for him to abuse his 13 year old stepsister” that is such a harmful and disgusting thing to say what it wrong with these people

While I actually do think that this is a valid argument, here are some in character things Billy could have done in that situation:

yelling, demanding what's going on/an explanation

threatening max and the others as a way to make her leave

attacking steve, since he's the oldest there

attacking max

trying to drag max out of the house

Here's what he did instead:

telling his stepsister that when she lies, he breaks things, then attacking a 13 y/o boy he's never interacted with before (and oh would you look at that, he's also the only black person there)

Little Will Byers Headcanons!!

- His primary caregiver is Mike and his secondary caregiver is Lucas, but everyone in the party will babysit him!

- Told everyone about his regression after season 2!

- Regresses to usually 3-5 but has definitely regressed younger

- He loves drawing and colouring when little!

- Mike literally spoils him!! He will buy him whatever he wants!

- As much as Lucas spoils him as well, he is a lot better at setting boundaries than Mike.

- Didn’t really regress while in Cali, so he regressed really young for like a week when they got to Hawkins.

- Love cuddles!!

- He cannot sleep unless someone is with him, and usually ends up falling asleep on peoples shoulders

also a big fix to the lacking party dynamic would be bringing the henclair dynamic back. writing them together in s4 and not having them interact was a cardinal sin, they're the funniest dynamic in all of s1 and 2, just BoysTM, they were the moment. slight antagonism, annoying each other, and being besties, fantastic dynamic. if they forget about henclair in s5 i will be SO disappointed
