ok so realistically i know theres important character reasons Kendra (and Seth and Warren by extension) never suspect Gavarog. It’s the old society trick to set up threats as team bonding exercises, etc, etc. plus this is a new and unfamiliar world thats rapidly overtaking her real world and replacing all her existing relationships, and right now Gavarog’s like the only member of her magical-worl peer group, so she doesnt want him to be a traitor, just like she didnt want Vanessa, her only female mentor to be a traitor, etc , etc.

but also i wholeheartedly 100% believe that every time Gavin did some truly bizarre, weird ass shit Kendra was just like. damnnnn…. average home school kid behavior.

With hands full of fire and an aura that inflicts terror, they have destroyed countless websites and lives. Their overwhelming power renders them unstoppable. Recently, however, they have been suspiciously quiet. Is the internet safe at last or are they plotting something terrible?

The Dark Lord's ATK SPD increases if The Chosen One is on the opposing team. If The Chosen One is on The Dark Lord's team, DMG focus will be activated (The Dark Lord reduces The Chosen One's DMG received and takes a portion of the DMG received by The Chosen One.) and The Chosen One will gain DEF and healing buffs. When using this skill, they become temporarily immune to interrupting effects.

Random things I want to say:

These stats aren't very balanced. Dark deletes your buffs, stuns you, and reduces your max hp. That feels incredibly unfair.

Maybe I should stop telling people I'm an algebraic topologist and just say I do homotopical algebra. It's truer I think. But less well known. Which is weird because everyone knows about homotopy theory.

I guess the brave new algebra program was only fully realized fairly recently.

#probably not enough context here to be understandable #algebra in the sense of mucking about with rings and modules and algebras has been generalized such that #you can just take your module over your nice normal ring and basechange it to be over spheres #so like you might tensor Z[x] over Z with Q to get Q[x]#or you could tensor it over the sphere spectrum with the spheres mod 2 to get something fucked up #Oh I guess I should say derived algebra is what was generalized not regular algebra #but you know.#anyways working over the spheres as your ground ring instead of over the integers is “brave new algebra”#aka homotopical algebra

lads it's so fucking frustrating when you desperately want to learn and understand something but u just can't fucking get ir

#because of various reasons I've accidentally skipped up a level in physics #so im learning calc based physics instead of basic physics #which is fine except the physics I'm currently taking expects me to have already taken basic phsyics and so im just confused and behind #this is like calc 2 all over again #but ten times worse because since it's a summer class im learning way more stuff at a way quicker rate #and i can't even go to the tutoring center bc again. summer school. it's not even open #im so stressed I barely understand how to solve these and i don't have anyone I can ask #and we have a test on Monday and i have a bad feeling about it #it's not even difficult math it's basic algebra we haven't even gotten to the calc yet #turns out not solving word problems for 3 years severely hinders your ability to solve word problems #and i also just cannot fuckin focus at all and it's frustrating #this homework is due tomorrow and im tired and wanna go to bed but none of it is done #lilac post #if this doesn't work out idk wtf else to do im hinging all my hopes on this

I finally saw the mean girls musical (the movie one) I have so many fucking thoughts oh my god

#thoughts #oni talks #mean girls 2024 #I think I may be the only person to kind of like it? like don’t get me wrong it is kinda ROUGH but it has so much potential and there’s bits #and pieces that I actually really enjoy or wish they had more of or just aahh #I’ve been nonstop thinking about the ideal version in my head like there’s so much potential obviously I’m biased by like a lot #since for one I know I tend to like stuff other people hate or don’t like but for two this sequel was weirdly way more relatable so maybe #I’m just projecting from my own personal experiences but Idc the POTENTIAL THERES SO MUCH ID WANNA DO INSTEAD #like there’s so many little details and characterizations that I wish was expanded on or fleshed out and it’s just like it feels like either #half baked or that it’s gone through too many edits it’s like it’s scared to exist?? like there’s some differences I love and wish they lol #leaned into but it’s like it was terrified to be too different? or like they were rushing the end especially #like in my ideal form it’s a tv show coz I think they honestly have enough that could be genuinely expanded in a way more interesting way #via that format probably not like a super extended series like you COULD but you’d definitely need more expansion but I could see the potent #but like idk one SOLID musical season with expanded character story and not like one of those rush cram shows like a good solid one #like Regina’s characterization is so fascinating but also feels like slightly off and like they could’ve leaned way more into things?#like I think keeping Regina as a closeted lesbian gives the greatest potential and interest for an expanded story #like I loved maybe the first half of the movie the most like that one song she sang to manipulate Aaron would work so much more perfectly if #she’s singing it about/to Cady? I also think in my ideal brain an cool flashback episode for Janis and Regina would be so cool coz there’s #so much you could flesh out in a flashback than you could in a retelling which while I do like the retelling since it lets you imagine thing #I just! potential! I also want more of them interacting and I do think changing Janis to be a lesbian works if they leaned more into it?#I also think in my ideal form janis would have more comeuppance or acknowledgement of her shit? I also think an arc of Regina coming out #like one thing they missed from the original is Regina playing soccer at the end & I think they could hint more towards that and maybe lean #more into her at home life in an expanded story way coz her mom is clearly like… yikes. granted maybe some of my views on the movie are too #biased by personal experience but like the way she snaps at her mom usually in my experience isn’t out of nowhere? like parents behind #closed doors. or frustrations with what her mom has clearly been putting on her the way she tells her mom not to talk about her body is very #like idk a lot of the characters in this version feel more real to me bc they act really similar to people I know irl so the expanded story #could be cool. another one that in my ideal brain would have more is Gretchen and especially her relationships with Regina as well as with #that one guy and her parents I wanna see more of how that works and her arc to feel more meaningful when she dumps him & mentions family #also as much as I didn’t care much for the straight plot stuff there’s 100% missed potential there that I could see in the differences like #iirc in the original it’s regular algebra not AP calc which I think could’ve been used as an interesting characterization opportunity for

holy SHIT I guess I passed maths for computer science

#mine #personal #uni #i?? i have no idea where they found all those points but they did #the most surreal part is i would have passed either way but because performance on one big question was so bad #they took it out and counted any points for it as bonus points #so instead of 'holy shit i passed?' it's actually 'holy shit i scored 67/69 points??'#like. what #even with that question disregarded less than a third of people passed so like. i guess i did less badly than i thought huh #i also passed linear algebra with the same grade so. hell yeah my guys i can do maths now #still waiting on the grades for the two computer science exams #but not worrying about maths anymore is nice

reading a bunch of articles on phonics and whole word reading and listening to old vi hart videos in the background and realizing that if there's an equivalent to phonics for math, i don't think we get taught it

#maybe the reason so many people hate math and find it difficult is because it's taught badly........ who'd-a thunk it #listening to vi hart talk about this math guy's triangle and how an odd number plus an even number is an odd number #but an odd number plus an odd number is an even number #and being like man why didn't i learn stuff like that instead of having to do Fancy Counting #now i gotta do algebra in order to remember how division works #obligatory disclaimer to treat this with a grain of salt and do your own research while i do mine cause i am not a Math Expert #and i have a very bad memory so i could very well have learned that particular trick and just forgot #i'm just spitballing here
