Sooo irl im a barista (toasty lore!) and inspired off this post I decided to make a bunch of custom rh drinks!! Iâm gonna start w the original 8 but I have a bunch of favorites so Iâll definitely do more in the future :3
Obligatory barista disclaimer: please donât order these lmao. Or order them only when itâs super slow or you have the worlds most patient barista.
Ruby Anderson
Sheâs going big and sheâs not going home. My girl gets a graffitied 32oz stanley cup filled with eight shots of espresso. She calls it a double quad when she orders it and it makes kia wince every. single. time
Sheâs getting a spicy mocha ofc. Kia keeps a bottle of cayenne powder next to the sauces and syrups just for her
A mocha is a little too one note, even w the spice, so she gets a lil cherry and dragonfruit syrup in there too
Sheâs probably just getting whole milk base, and kia refuses to make a hot version (only iced) so ruby doesnât drink it too fast
Poppy Rowan
She gets a pretty big drink, but smth more like 16-20oz than rubys mega drink lmao. Three shots of espresso max, otherwise she gets jittery and a little too tunnel vision hyperfocused on things
She usually uses a chai base with a bit of orange syrup. Spice is more her jam than sweet chai but sheâs down for either.
My girl gets almond milk foamed into a super frothy cappuccino, with a big head thick enough to support a generous amount of cinnamon sugar.
Sunny Madison
Her drinks are always barely caffeinated otherwise sheâs bouncing off the walls lmao. Sheâs a 16oz drink MAXIMUM, and usually goes for a 12oz drink instead. Either way she only gets a single shot of espresso.
Her drink is so sweet that it completely masks the espresso. She gets a white chocolate caramel mocha with extra white chocolate, caramel drizzle around the cup, and a pump of vanilla syrup. Half the cup is just. Syrup.
All that sugar gets blended with ice and cream until itâs a thick frappuccino, which is then topped with whipped cream, more caramel drizzle, and rainbow sprinkles. Somewhere in there is a shot of espresso.
If kia has some on hand, sunny will absolutely get this made with butterscotch and vanilla ice cream.
Jade Hunter
Nine times out of ten sheâs just getting black coffee. Maaaaybe sheâll ask kia to add a pump of vanilla, but itâs usually just plain ol coffee.
When sheâs feeling festive sheâll get a doppio and drink it so fast she burns the tip of her tongue
Seriously tho, jade is the kind of girl who gets coffee âblack as my soul.â When she needs more caffeine she just adds shots to her coffee for increasingly strong red eyes.
Skyler Bradshaw
Skyler LOVES a cold brew, the smoother the better. Nitro cold brews are her favorites but she understands when kia canât do that for her lol.
Her coffee is usually unsweetened and topped with cold foamed oat milk
Her favorite way to experiment with flavors is through infusion. She and kia love to play around with chicory and earl grey tea, and her current obsession is infused with Darjeeling.
The first twelve times she went to the rainbow union she just got whatever kia recommended and was too shy to ask for anything special, but ever since they started collaborating her infusions are becoming increasingly popular
Violet Willow
Oh my god she has the most annoying drink in the world. Kia loves her and STILL groans when she comes in. Baristas everywhere fear violet willow.
Itâs an iced 16oz latte with half coconut half soy milk, to start, cold foamed for velvety smoothness with light ice. She has her own purple sparkly cup with a rhinestone V on the front.
She gets four shots of espresso and is VERY particular about how theyâre pulled. If her espresso is too sour/bitter she wonât hesitate to have the drink remade.
Her base flavor is white chocolate and lavender, with a half pump of blackberry, a half pump of almond, and a half pump of vanilla. Not too much syrup that itâs aggressively sweet, but all five flavors need to be there or she WILL complain.
Her reusable cup has a dome lid so she can see the whipped cream with âjust enough stevia sprinkle to make it sparkle!â Kia definitely keeps pearl non pareils just for violet (that violet bought btw)
Kia has this drink down to a science at this point. When violet crosses the threshold of the rainbow union kia is already weighing out syrups and sauces. Their dynamic is tenuous at best.
Bella Parker
Bella needs a lot of caffeine, now. Sheâs getting a triple shot cortado with half and half, extra creamy
She gets a pump of rose syrup steamed with her breve to add a little subtle complex sweetness. It makes the whole cafe smell delicately perfumed while Kiaâs making it
Kia sometimes adds one of violets pearl sprinkles on top of the foam and it delights bella every single time
Amaya Raine
She needs something she can drink super fast thatâll get her brain to focus but sheâs amaya so of COURSE itâs gonna be cute
She gets an espresso con panna with rainbow sprinkles! Simple (two shots with whipped cream), fast, and sugary sweet
Kia always adds a pump of vanilla to the espresso to complement the vanilla in her house made whipped cream
#rainbow high#rh#Iâm gonna make a bunch of these next time Iâm at work just to try bc Iâm so so curious#esp violets lmao I wanna see if itâs actually good#or if it just sounds good#I would probably drink Bellaâs irl? but tbh none of these are for me#my go to is 8oz hot honey oat latte I drink that every day before I clock in lol#tho rn im doing half honey half pumpkin spice bc tis the season#if someone ordered violets drink irl I would unfortunately have to kill them on the spot

Twisted Wonderland ask: Assuming there is a Starbucks equivalent, what are the Housewarden's go-to drink order?
Hello friend! Thank you for the ask!!! Oh dear, ehehehe, it seems my lack of coffee-related knowledge may show here...oops, lol. đ I will do my best to answer! (thank goodness for online menus that allow you to look at the recipes!)
Riddle - Grande Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew; with an extra splash of sweet cream. We know Riddle loves sweet things like tarts and desserts. I think he would enjoy something cool and sweet, and something a little different than his usual drinks. More than likely, it was Trey, Ace, Deuce, and Cater who brought him to the coffee shop, and in an effort to appreciate his friends and fit in with everyone around, I imagine Riddle would have picked something sweet but simple. Sweet because he knows he'll enjoy it and won't offend anyone by not drinking it, and simple because the sheer amount of customization Cater did for his own drink made Riddle's head spin a little. There were no rules for what Cater did. It was a godless, unholy act. Who the hell puts that much syrup in a DRINK. Riddle is doing his best not to be scarred for life.
Leona - Grande Lemonade. It's simple, but that's how Leona likes his drinks. I don't think he'd want to bother with a bunch of fancy things for his order, and I don't think he'd want anything caffeinated...that would get in the way of his precious nap time. And I imagine, with how warm the Savanaclaw dorm is, the lemonade is likely very refreshing.
Azul - Espresso Machiato; 6 shots instead of 4, nonfat milk, with light milk foam. Let's be real, Azul has got Things To Do. He's a full-time student AND running a lounge, plus forming contracts on the side? You expect me to think this boy sleeps? Nah. That's what caffeine is for. He'll get by. And of course, he still has a complex about his weight as a child, so he will order nonfat milk with light milk foam. (my poor boy. someday he will realize it did not mean that much, and that he is more than just his looks.)
Kalim - Grande Hot Chocolate; with 6 pumps of Mocha sauce instead of 4, and extra Mocha drizzle on top. Let's be real, Kalim is a sweetie. And just like him, his drink is extra sweet. He would get a venti but Jamil says no. Can't have him completely spoiling his appetite before dinner!
Vil - Grande Chai Latte; light milk foam, with nonfat milk. I think this would be something Vil would enjoy. Chai has a warm taste that wraps around you, much like a hug, and reminds me of cozy days in. I think it would be a "taste of home" vibe that he would enjoy for times when he is on the road for his acting or modelling. It also still has a bit of caffeine in it, which can help him feel awake and refreshed if he's having a rough morning.
Idia - Espresso Con Panna; 8 shots of espresso instead of 4 and EXTRA whipped cream. This boy has got classes all day and gaming all night. There's no time for sleep. I fully believe Idia has a shirt that says "sleep is for the weak". Anytime he can add more caffeine or sugar to his order, he will. The only reason he stops at 8 shots is because Ortho threatened the life of his computer monitor. And no, I don't mean Ortho threatened to dump water on it or take it away; Idia would find ways around that. No, no. Ortho pulled out a gun and said "drop the espresso or the computer gets it". #giveorthoagun2023
Malleus - Malleus goes to the shop only because Yuu asked him. And of course he orders the Dragon Drink. Dragonfruit and coconut, it's a pretty nice combo. Plus, it's a dragon drink. It was made for him. (Or so he believes. Yuu will not tell him otherwise. It's too cute.) He falls in love with the shop because Yuu lets it slip that they frequent it often and so suddenly Malleus has a Starbucks addiction (somebody help this simping dragon fae) and meets them there regularly to have drinks together.
There you have it! Those are the drinks I think each Housewarden would enjoy. What about you? Let me know what you think! Do we have the same brain? Or are your choices totally different??? Can't wait to hear!

How To Make Oat Milk Lattes â 3 Ways!

How To Make Oat Milk Lattes â 3 Ways!
I figured I couldnât just teach you how to make oat milk and not show you what you can do with it! There are so many ways to use oat milk but one of my favorites is in an oat milk latte, which is as simple as it sounds: a latte made with oat milk.
Of course we couldnât be THAT basic so instead of your typical oatmilk latte, weâre showing you how to make them 3 ways! Including this matcha oat latte, mocha latte and chai latte.
If you want to learn more about oat milk and how to make it, check out this post. But now that youâve got the recipe down, letâs chat about a few key points when it comes to making these lattes..
Matcha Oat Milk Latte
For the matcha lover in all of us, this latte gives the caffeine boost and earthy flavors of matcha mixed with the sweetness of oat milk. Itâs creamy and delicious and trust me, once you go oat milk + matcha, you never go back!
Mocha Oat Milk Latte
To be honest, Iâm perfectly happy adding some oat milk to straight up coffee (or espresso) but we figured weâd kick things up a notch with some chocolate. Pro tip for all lattes: add some coconut butter to make it extra creamy!
Chai Oat Milk Latte
There were a million and one options for flavors to choose from, but Jess and I wanted to give an ode to one of our favorite tea companies: Yerba Buena Tea Co. One of our highlights is their delicious chai. I truly believe it is the best one on the market. Also if youâre looking to get extra creative with your oat milk latte order some of the Maven Tea Blend I created with them!
I encourage you to experiment with different flavors and see which ones you like. Oat milk + coconut butter makes for an epically creamy combo so truthfully, beyond these two things it doesnât matter a whole lot which flavors you add. But whatever you choose, let me know by using the hashtag #thehealthymaven or tag @thehealthymaven on Instagram. Canât wait to see what kind of lattes youâre drinking and where youâre sipping them!

Did you know thereâs a difference between these two warm-weather faves? Check out what makes cold brew and iced coffee different.
With the summer heat rising, itâs time to swap your hot cup of coffee for a nice cold one. But when you get to your favorite coffee shop, youâre presented with two options: iced or cold brew coffee. Both are cold, both come with iceâso whatâs the difference?
Well, the big difference is how theyâre made. Get the scoop on each.
Iced coffeeâexactly what you think
Quite simply, iced coffee is exactly what it sounds like: regularly brewed coffee served over ice. This method is quickâall you have to do is brew as normal (avoid these mistakes), cool it down and pour over ice. However, this method dilutes the coffee. To prevent the ice from watering your cold cuppa down, make your coffee extra strong by doubling the amount of ground coffee you put in your coffee maker. Another way to double up on the flavor is to make coffee ice cubes. Pour cooled coffee into an ice cube tray, freeze and use for your next cup of iced coffee.
How cold brew is a bit different
Making cold brew isnât as straightforward as simple iced coffee. What makes cold brew so tasty is time. To make it, coarse-ground coffee is steeped in cold water for at least twelve hours. The longer the coffee sits, the stronger the flavor. Since it tends to be stronger, serving this one with ice is A-OK.
Once itâs done steeping, the grounds are filtered out, leaving you with a coffee-concentrate that can be mixed with milk or water and served over ice. Because cold brew uses time instead of heat to extract the coffeeâs oils, sugars and caffeine, the end result is generally less acidic and bitter than iced coffee.
Hereâs an easy way to make your own cold brew from scratch at home. If youâre short one time, you can use purchase a pre-made option from the grocery store. Find out which ones we liked the best in our blind taste test.
