What I hate about the world right now is that no one will call it like it is. Instagram is not a place to share your life with friends it’s a fucking pornohraphized advertisement gym hell scape. And any sort of reels or shorts or tik toks are designed to sex your mind up and funnel you to more perverse places of the web.

The Paramedic (part 3)
Eddie Munson x (Male) reader
(Part 1) (Part 2)
Summary: An alternate ending to the season 4 finale ,where an ambulance paramedic reader from 2022 stumbles upon Eddie in the upside down right after the bat attack.
Word count: 1431
CW: Blood, death, medical descriptions, angst, (Y/N)
An: I'm on a roll, here is chapter 3 guys!!🤘🦇
Chapter 3
You are awoken by your alarm, at first you just lay in bed enjoying the rays of sun peeking through the blinds. Eventually you get out of bed, stretching your awfully sore body. You look down expecting to see your bare torso and pyjama bottoms and freeze. You are still wearing your uniform and it is covered in dried blood and mud. That is when all the memories of the events from the yesterday flood inn. The weird portal, the monsters and Eddie.
You feel a sense of dread wash over you, the same feeling you got the day before when you left the surgery.
The only thing you wanted to do now was find Eddie and hopefully get some answers. You could try visiting him in the hospital, if he wanted to or was well enough to see you. They might not let you see him though, as you are not a family member. How will you get a hold of him then? Shit, maybe he has a phone?
Instantly you run over to start your laptop and open up your web browser, writing “Eddie Munson” into google. You expect to see a link to his Facebook or Instagram account but what you see startle you. News and true crime articles with titles like “Serial killer Cult leader murders 3 teenagers” and “The D&D cult killer” pop up.
You feel yourself start to sweat, wondering if you had been helping a serial killer all along. Not that you wouldn’t still save Eddies life even if he was. It is not your job to judge; you are supposed to help anyone without bias, but you might not have gotten so attached if you knew. Wait attached? You barely know the man, this situation must be messing with your head.
Eddie did seem like a nice person thought, not threatening at all. Maybe that’s just how you remember him due to the circumstance of your meeting? Maybe he is one of those innocent seeming killers who lull you into a false sense of security before striking? The more you thought about it, none of this seemed right to you.
As you click in on several of the articles something grabs your attention, you see what looks like a yearbook photo of Eddie Munson, from...1986. He looks just like the Eddie you saved yesterday, fuck IT IS the Eddie you saved yesterday! Same name, same face, same hair, same country and fuck didn’t he tell you he played D&D? If that is Eddie shouldn’t he be what, 60 by now? Fuck you can’t even begin to imagine what is going on.
“Time travel…fuuck me. No, nope” you shake your head, things were crazy enough with the serial killer, portal and hellscape business, time travel just added another layer of FUCKED you were not prepared for.
You continue reading and notice a particularly interesting passage “Eddie Munson went missing after his alleged killing spree in 1986, to this day he is still missing (presumed to be dead)”. That must be when he disappeared to that hell scape? Or maybe he had gone there on purpose? If he disappeared before the killings, then it cant be him who killed those teenager can it? He could be innocent.
Your train of thought is interrupted by your phone ringing. You pick it up, see that it is from an unknown caller and answer hesitantly.
“Hello?”
“Hello. Is this Y/N L/N?” a male voice asks
“Yes, that’s me”
“We have a patient here, Eddie Munson, It says here that you are his emergency contact. We are calling you to notify that he is at Rikshospitalet. You can come and visit him in the visiting hours, from 09.30 to 12.00”
“Oh, ok. Thank you for telling me”
“Have a great day, bye”
“Bye”
He put you as his emergency contact? Given the whole situation it would make sense for him to do so, you are probably the only person here that he knows. Still, it surprised you, you had not expected it.
You want to go immediately, take the first buss to the hospital, but then you get a good look at yourself in the mirror. You look awful, no, before you leave you are going to need a shower, a change of clothes, breakfast and a strong cup of (tea/coffee/energy drink).
--------A breakfast, shower and buss trip later--------
You arrive at the hospital 09.50. At this time, it is crowded with people by the reception, you end up standing in line for quite a while. When you finally get to talk to the receptionist, she tells you that Eddie is on the second floor in room 267.
The closer you get to room 267, the more nervous you become. What if he knows just as little as you? What if he is in fact a serial killer from 1986? The questions keep running through your mind and before you know it you are standing outside room 267.
You hesitate for a second, before you walk in.
Inside the room you see Eddie laying in his bed wearing a blue hospital gown, he has not noticed you entering and is looking out the hospital window biting his nails, his long messy hair framing his frowning face. He looks so frail, with dark rings under his eyes and his skin pale. You had prepared all these questions to bombard him with, but now you don’t really want too anymore. This guy does not look like a serial killer, he doesn’t look like he has a mean bone in his body.
“Eh, hi?” you say awkwardly, walking up to him
When Eddie sees you, he lights up a bit. “You came!”
“Yeah, how.. how are you feeling?”
“If I am being completely honest, like shit. But I guess that’s what you get for playing hero~” the last part he almost whispers to himself.
“Is it ok if I sit down?” you ask pointing towards a chair.
“Oh yeah dude, go ahead”
You take the chair and pull it up to the left side of Eddies bed, sitting down heavily.
“So… you put me as your emergency contact?”
Eddie looks away from you with an awkward smile “Yeeha, I was hoping to get to talk to you. You saw the whole up side down place, you know when you saved my life an all” as he continues to talk his body seems to get more and more animated “So, I thought; this guy is the only person that wouldn’t immediately throw me in the looney bin if I tried explaining myself… and hopefully maybe... you could help me out?”
You open your mouth to answer, but before you manage to utter a word he rambles on.
“You don’t need to help me off course, you already swooped in and literally picked me up like a fucking princess, saving my life. But… I’m…I don’t know what to do”. Eddie looks down at his hands, not daring to see your expression.
You can’t help but feel sorry for him, if you were in his shoes, you are not sure what you would do either.
“I’ll help you”
At this Eddie looks up at you.
“But, before I do. I need some answers, because I don’t know what the fuck is going on”
“Yeah, that’s fair. Ask away man.”
“I’m not so sure where to start…but uh, that upside down place you mentioned. Is that what the place I found you is called?”
“Yes”
“What is it?”
“I am no expert, but it was explained to me as some sort of dark mirrored version of our world. Sometimes portals open between our worlds and you can travel through”.
“When I went through the portal it was through a forest, but I came out in a small town… that does not seem very mirrored”.
“Yeah, you are supposed to enter a place similar to the one you came from, so I have no idea why it traveled me from America in 1986 to Norway in… whatever time it is now, because it sure as hell aint 1986”.
“We are in 2022”
Eddies starts at you in utter disbelief “ 2022?? WHAT?? That’s what 50 years in the future?” he almost screams
“36 actually”
“How are you so calm about this?”
“I googled your name and uuh.. I found some crazy shit”.
“Googeld?” Eddie looks at you confused
“Oh right” if he is from 1986 he wouldn’t know about the internet “I uh found some information about you… from 1986”.
Eddie freezes, his hands clenching into fists “what kind of information”
“That you were a suspected serial killer and that you disappeared in 1986”.

Can u write a tickling war with best-friend!tom. Maybe Haz records them and post on insta so fans start to ship them ? ❤️
A/n: added some context first, got this idea and couldn't help but write it, hope you dont mind :)
Friends to lovers au - Actor!tom x best friend!reader
Warnings: none, just fluffy stuff
Masterlist
"Have anything planned for the evening, love?"
You hear Tom calling for you, but decide to keep reading the book on your hands nonetheless, not daring to avert your gaze to his face. Keeping a stoic face, you read through the lines of your book, though you're not really paying any attention to it. You just wanted to teach your best friend a lesson.
"Y/n? You here?" He chuckles nervously, trying to ease the thick air of tension he brought to himself. You were mad at Tom since last night, when he admitted he watched a movie with a girl, his date - a movie that both of you were excited to watch.
You shouldn't be so mad at it, you thought to yourself, but you were. Tom was your best friend, and you wanted all the best things for him, but that didn't mean putting any other girl above you. Knowing that he spent a precious time - which is pretty scarse for him because of his job - with another woman, watching your favorite movie together, drove you mad.
And, obviously, it did have something to do with your little crush on him, but you'd never - ever - admit this part.
"Y/n, darling, won't you talk to me?", he sighed, taking a seat on the couch besides you. You're taking most of its space, but he doesn't mind, touching your ankle ever so softly.
"I'm not your darling, for what I recall", you say in a cold and empty voice, flipping a page on your book.
Tom sighs heavily. He knows it's not true, but he feels hurt anyways. "Well, at least you're not giving me the silence treatment", he mumbles to himself, under his breathe. You look at him through your lashes, face still down.
"I would, if I wanted to", you flip through another page, "But came to the conclusion that it's not worth my time nor energy".
Tom grimaces, knowing you were joking, but not liking your tone. "Y/n, love, I've told you I'm sorry, okay? It won't happen again".
His pleading voice touches your insides, and you squirm on your seat. Once you make the mistake of looking to his face, into those beautiful puppy brown eyes, you sigh in defeat, closing your book and putting it aside.
"It better not, Holland", you cross your arms. Tom wrinkles his nose.
"Don't call me that"
"Well, since you're in redemption, I think I might call you whatever the shit I want", you say, shrugging.
Tom opens his mouth in chock, but doesn't argument. "So, we're fine again?"
You pout, a fake deep in thoughts expression, before saying, "We'll see about that. For now, I rather be on my own company and maybe watch some of my favorite movies alone. Or maybe I should invite Haz"
Tom narrows his eyes. "Your favorite movies are my favorite movies", he says as a matter of fact.
"Yes, that's correct", you give him a victory smile and then get up from the sofa. "So, I'll be back in-"
Before you can finish your sentence or moves, a yelp scapes your throat by the surprise when Tom grabs your hips and pull you back to the sofa, your back landing on it not so softly.
"What the fu-"
"You're not gonna do it, y/n", Tom says, taking hold of your wrists and pinning both of your hands above your head. And though he was so talented on what he did for a living, you couldn't say he was playing the greatest role now, pretending to be stern and mad while hovering his body over yours. In fact, you could see his playful smirk on the corner of his thin lips. "'Cause now you're held against your will. And if you wanna watch those movies so bad, you're gonna take my company, you liking it or not".
"Unfair. You take another girl to watch what I wanted to, but I can't invite Haz, my incredibly friendly best friend?", you tease, wiggling your brows, but Tom's smile drops.
"He's not your best friend", Tom states, the grip on your wrists getting a little tighter.
"From now on, I decided that this is him".
Tom's face assumes an expression of doubt, just to fade to a smug one once again. "You're just jealous".
You arch your brows, incredulous. His breathing is so close to your face right now that you can sense your closeness, and if you're not imagining this yourself, it was very possible that the both of you touched each other's lips right now.
"Jealous of what?", you swallow thickly, eyes averting to his lips on them on. You can see his smirk growing immediately.
"Well, darling...", he emphasized, his accent thick enough to send shivers down your spine. "You're jealous of my date".
"Only on your imagination, Thomas", you split too quickly, which didn't make it any easier to swipe off that smugness on his face. If anything, it just made the whole situation worse.
"It's clear as water to me", he leans in, a wide smile plastered on his face, making his eyes wrinkle. The air seems to be stuck on your throat as he does so, and your heart scapes a beat when he gives you a sweet kiss on your cheek. "But you don't have to, sweetheart. You're the only girl I wanna around".
You know you shouldn't take this to the heart, but it's not up to you the tight feeling on your chest when you hear these words. You try yo convince yourself that he only says it as a friend, but something in his eyes, in the way he speaks those words with so much meaning slipping out of his lips, makes you imagine that wanted to share something else with you.
You sigh, feeling your walls break down. Tom was a charmer, you knew it already, but the way he spook with you, the sweetness of his words were beyond this part of his personality.
"You sound convincing", you try to say playfully, but you don't smile and stare directly into his eyes. He does the same.
"Because it's true", Tom tucks a piece of hair behind your ear, avoiding your eyes as he loses himself in his thoughts. "Yesterday, I realized that I was looking for something that I already have. Isn't it dumb?", he looks at you with a kind yet insecure smile. You give it back.
"Well, it doesn't surprise me". You heartbeat is so quick that you can bet he can listen to it, for the proximity. He's so pretty. You want to tell him that you feel like this, that you couldn't chase whatever you and Tom had, that this part of your life felt complete.
But the moment you part your lips to say so, Tom's smile widens and he releases your wrists just to take his hands to your belly. "You sure about that, love? Wanna take it back?", he says, a devilish smile playing on his face.
"Never"
"You asked for it, y/n", and then it all started. Tom started to tickle your belly, just on your weak point, where he knew you were more sensitive at. You quickly loose your air, gasping and laughing at the same time as he works his fingers on your skin.
"Oh, my God, Tom, stop!", you yell, rolling to the sides as you try to kick him away from you. Tom laughs' fill the air around you, and it's the most beautiful sound of your day.
"Make me, darling"
You fight with all your strength (and part of you believe he left his body loosen a bit, so you could have any chance to turn the game over). Finally, you're able to throw your body towards his and have him laying on the couch instead, your body over his as you tickle his neck, holding him im place by lacing his lower half with your legs.
"Not so funny, uh?" You tease, watching as his body squirms under you. You laugh along him, but it's not much time until he starts to tickle you back.
"What the hell you guys doing? Can hear you from across the-" Haz enters the living room, stopping in his tracks as soon as he catches the sight of his two friends in a tickling war. He chuckles silently, amused by the way you looked like a lovely couple already.
He knew about Tom's crush on you, and even though you'd never verbalize it, he had an idea about yours too. He sigh contentedly, a peaceful smile on his face, leaning against the door frame. The two of you don't even notice the moment he grabs his phone and point the camera at you, recording the scene.
Tom suddenly flip the two of you, propping himself on his elbows over you. "Say you're sorry", he demands out loud, still managing to tickle you.
"I- I have nothing- to be sorry abou-" you can't even speak an entire sentence, out of breath as you fight to win the battle. "You the one in redemption!"
Haz has to hold back his laughter. What two love birds.
He stops the filming when the two of you seem tired enough and are about to give up the tickling war. Making his way back discreetly, he opens his Instagram app and post the video as a Stories.
After the fight, reconciliation
Laughing to himself, he shakes his head and post.
Haz didn't know it by the time he posted the video, but by the end of that day, the internet would be overwhelmed with so many messages shipping you and Tom, who couldn't avoid the obvious fact that both of you were in love with each other anymore.

Here are fan made fetch moduses. They’re not mine but it gave ideas what they would look like and write my own descriptions. Feel free to use them as you wish :)
Camera Modus: It can take pictures on one focused object to 35-50 cm away on the fetch modus card camera (top right). After taking a picture, it would create a clone of the object on your captchalogue inventory. It can be a great practice to take pictures, just don’t take pictures of yourself.
Settings:
Instagram mode- It doesn’t really do anything special except put any radon filter in your fetch modus over what it displays. It’s dumb, but hey it gives you a ton of likes. likes actually don’t exist in your modus or an app for it.
Snapchat mode- I’m not sure why you would need filters to captchlogue an item. If you use this one, I definitely recommend the dog or flower crown filter.
VSCO mode- It’s more about the aesthetics to be honest. Not for those who dresses up in long over sized shirts with a bunch of poofy hair ties and purposely drop their water bottles to make weird noises
Limit: can take 10 film inventories, more than that can eject the last inventory. The object you want to captchalogue has to be on the cameras focuse or else the picture would look blurry and would not clone the item.
Book Modus: A simple modus that comes with a actual book. When you captchlogue an item, it would gives you their description and their captch code. It would also receive a page inside the book as it could give more its abilities, uses, history, common location, and combinations with other items. Pretty useful and it’s possible to captchalogue the book itself. You don’t wanna carry it around all day.
Settings:
Academic mode- Yup all that math, science, language arts, health, and history you’ve read for school is coming back to you. What sucks is these books are the books you’ve read before when you were younger...so they’re probably out dated. Which sucks.
Encyclopedia mode- AKA Wikipedia, Dictionary, or Thesaurus if you want to call that. Basically find what word you want and look through the entire book to find what it means or what’s similar to it. I doubt you want find the amounted of pages it has because it never ends. Sometimes too much words can lead you the short end of the stick or just completely lost.
Journal mode- A thought of someone their own writing to collect their ideas and observations. You can make your own journal if you want. Like writing down what your doing or your grocery list. Actually just write what it feels like to you.
Magazine mode- Now we’re on the good stuff. Good stuff as in gossip and trends. What? At least there’s something to entertain yourself than looking through those stressful words every single to time. You just need to relax and read the latest celebrity gossip. OooOo.
Newspaper mode- Wait how can there be a newspaper in a book? Well at it lets you know what happening daily in other places or locally. Contains huge headlines, unnecessary words, really big photos, and a lot of advertisements.
Limit: There’s no storage limit on this fetch modus but it’s recommended to have 12 items. Unless if you want to have a bunch of words thrown into you to the point it becomes a encyclopedia. Also item eject? What’s that? Uh oh.
Money Modus: This lets you store any item but you have to access the item by inserting a specific amount of money. It is very different in every item. Isn’t it a mix of an ATMs and a shop? I don’t know, but at least they are in a reasonable price. This is not meant for cheap scapes. Sometimes the capchalogue item is has the similar price to real life price list. [Ex. A real life a fridge cost $1,000-2,000]
Settings:
Currency change mode- Your not sure why people need a specific currency. This setting is so stupid, it makes you wonder who needs this?
Bank mode- Yes you heard it right, you can store money in this fetch modus. It’s great for people that has no where else to store their money. This can be your own personal piggy bank.
Limit: This has unlimited storage. The bigger and expensive the item, the more expensive the price you need to access the item. The more you store items, you need to spend a lot of your money. No, you cannot argue the card to lower the price ya silly goose.
Mask Modus: A modus where you wear many persona’s. The mask are in variety in colors that represents a certain character. You can also type a certain personality on your own personas. To capchalogue an item, you have to match a certain persona that matches or similar to the item.
Limit: The maximum storage contains 16 items. Over 16 items would refuse the recent item unless you remove an item or combine one of them. If successful, the item would be capchalogue and freely gain access with wearing a mask. If your didn’t match a right mask or was unsuccessful, the modus card would eject the last item you capchalogued at you.
Binary Modus: You can summon any item by converting the letters into binary coding. This modus must be navigated manually and you can also search for item numbered too.
[Ex. 01001001 01000011 01010101 01010000] Wait a second...Eww man.
Limit: Unlimited storage unit and when summoning an item, it has to be a real thing. Sorry but no bear-cat-rabbit-elephant thing or completely made up words would appear. Especially, you can’t summon huge items like a building or the sun. That can just break your modus. Please limit yourself there buddy.
Dominoes Modus: No, sadly you can’t order pizza. When you capchalogue an item, many dominoes from the card spill out and you have to assemble each and every domino to the other.
Limit: there are 6 inventories you can capchalogue. Nothing more, nothing less. More than 6 would eject the last item.
Dartboard Modus: You can freely capchalogue an item, but retrieving an item can summon a dartboard. You need to throw a dart at one of the rings or bullseyes. The less important items are on the large farther rings and the more important ones art in the smaller rings and bullseyes,
Limit: you can store 82 items. Now that’s a lot but you need to have good aim. Hitting the center of the bullseye can randomly give you an important item for the future.
Prey Modus: When an item is capchalogued, it would spawn a small animal. These animals would depend on what the item is. if the user wants to get the get the item back, they will have to fight and kill whatever creature the item has been allocated to. once the creature is dead, the item appears
[Ex. a computer mouse would spawn a weak mouse (ayy)]
Limit: You can only store 8 slots and over more than 8 can have an animal come out depending on the item. Hopefully you don’t eject any important items. Anything important would release an animal that is not a prey or maybe a replica of the first guardian.
Shuffle Modus: Every time you capchalogue an item, it changes every second with other items you also capchalogued. It can be lucky or unlucky depending how your going to draw this.
Limit: It can hold as much as any items. The more you add items, the more frustrating it gets to retrieve the item you want.
Backpack Modus: This modus can store items by the cards weight which is also a backpack. You can simply open the backpack to retrieve and item. You can capchalogued the backpack itself, but I don’t think your fetch modus can handle the weight you put into there.
Limit: Feel free to store the amount of junk you can carry as it can weigh you down. It acts like a normal backpack. What else should I say?
“Stack” Modus: Haha no, it’s a Massive Ejection Modus you fool. It may look like a normal stack modus but can intensity eject massive amounts of items at once that are multiplied by 100. Once you want to retrieve it, 99 copies eject violently from the captchacard and explode out of your card. Its mostly going to destroy mostly anything and injuring anyone near you.
Limit: Basically you only have one slot inventory and that’s sad. Is this modus even legal!?!? Ejecting 99 items at someone can be potentially be a strife specibus. Just saying.
Wardrobe Modus: This modus can capchalogued any articles of clothing. Attempting to captchalouge something other than clothing will result in said item being sent somewhere you can no longer receive. This is pretty useless like the other mentioned modus we talked about.
Settings:
Hat mode- A place where your hats can live in harmony with other simpleton hats.
Earrings mode- Fancy, expensive, or cheap earrings can come join.
Glasses mode- Look at you nerd. Or cool kid. Whatever you are.
Shirt mode- Look, there are many things you can put on there. The most likely to be over flowed.
Pants mode- Or skirts, shorts, or anything that goes on your legs
Socks mode- A hell place where all sinful gross smelly socks and clean socks go.
Shoes mode- Just don’t put those dirty shoes on the wood. Keep them clean and dry.
Limit: you have unlimited storage and only meant for clothes. This is perfect for people that don’t know where else to put their seasonal clothes to. Summer, fall, winter, spring, you name it.

#23,24 and #30 please and thank. From the getting to know you. Hope you’re having a great day.
i... didn't reblog that one. but it does sound fun, so i went to @dreamsaremywords's blog to steal those questions from that 100 questions post
23. What’s your dream date?
maybe it's because spring is finally getting here, but right now i'd die for someone to take me on a picnic date near a river in the late afternoon so we could watch the sunset, then go for drinks at a rooftop bar :')
24. Do you tend to gravitate more toward using logic or intuition to make decisions?
intuition. i wanna be a logical babe boss so bad, but all my decisions can be traced back to how i felt, how much support i had, what people i looked up to thought about it. definitely intuition
30. Instagram or Twitter?
i don't really use either, but i'm going with instagram. i've scaped the hell hole that is twitter a few years ago, and i like my explore page on instagram (it's food, college student struggles™ and cozy games)

Friends; Sorting Things Out (Part 4)
Pairing: Finn x reader, Sam x reader
DO NOT PLAGIARIZE MY WORK, PLEASE
Summary: Finn seems to deny that there´s anything between the two of you, so why wait on someone who doesn´t feel the same way you do?
Warnings: swearing
Not my gif
DISCLAIMER: All of the characters in this story are aged up (I´m not planning in any way to write smut with them do not worry) because it made sense to me. If you are not comfortable reading simply don´t read and don´t hate it, please be nice.
To say this week had been awkward would be toning things down. When I decided to hop on a plane and return home I guess my brain didn't study all the possibilities. While my friends did indeed miss me, they were not happy with me. Mainly because of the spiral of lies I had gotten them in, and then of course Sam. When my little scaped happened it was never in my plans to meet a guy like him, but I did, and I don't regret it. Sam is the guy who helped me make up my mind (kinda), he also kept me company on that lonely trip. Sam had been there and I couldn´t dump him and completely forget about him, not that I was planning to. Everyone seemed to be warming up to him, everyone but… well, Finn. He felt replaced, I knew. The dirty looks between them were starting to tire me out, so I decided to sort things for once and for all.
I looked around the small cafeteria I had chosen. The sweet smell of chocolate made me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, comforting me. The bell on the door rang made my heart speed, praying for this to end up not so horrendous. He sat in front of me, his messy curls under a beanie, pale skin, red nose and blue lips, death-cold stare. “I ordered your favourite,” I said passing him the cup of coffee, mocha cappuccino. He took the cup without looking me in the face. “Thanks. Umm before you start explaining whatever mess you are in, I want to say I am not mad if that's what you think.” “You are not?”Surprised, I thought the first thing he would be yelling at me. “No, I am not. I am more, what's the word?” The tip of his finger touching his chin. “Oh yeah. Disappointed. “Finn.” “One thing is to lie to me, but another even worst is to make everyone lie and hide things. I spent two months every fucking night asking myself. Is she okay? God, what must have happened for her to leave all a sudden? Then, I began to wonder if it was my fault. Could it be that I offended you in some way, that you were tired, or wanted to get rid of me.” “What? No! Finn, you are my best friend, you are like one of the most important people in my life.” Panicking I reached out for his hand, but he was quick to push it away. “Friends don't lie, (Yn)” He sighed, grabbing his face. “And to think you appeared here after two months like nothing's wrong like you hadn't fucked up, and with him! You brought a complete stranger into our lives and expect me to be okay?” “Sam has nothing to do with this. He is the nicest person I know. He never left me alone and he's here because I asked him to.” “Ever thought that I would not like the idea of him being around us?” He spat out, what was his deal? “I frankly don't understand a thing. Are you mad because I left or are you mad because of Sam?” “I'm mad because of everything! I´m mad because you decided to run away. I'm mad that you couldn't even leave a message. I´m mad that you didn't give a shit about us, I had to find out what you were doing by Instagram pictures! We are all having a mental break down. And you? Hanging out with a wanna-be-photographer showing off like you had the right to. I´m mad that you have completely kicked me out of your life, while you enter and exit mine like it is so freaking easy.” The people were staring, I could feel it. “And I´m enraged that you have found a replacement for me. You had the guts to come here and want me to receive him with open arms. Those are all the reasons I can think of right now, pretty sure there's even more. It's like I don't even know who you are anymore.” “You are right, Finn. You don´t. I am so tired of pretending that everything is okay. I left in need of a break, in need of something new. Sam isn't here to replace anyone for you to know, there´s nothing to replace. My feelings for you and for Sam are two completely different things.” “No, you are not going to act like a spoiled brat with me. Everyone can be nice to you, but I am not. Dammit (Yn) what the hell did you do to my best friend?” “She's long gone. Sam is here to stay, whether you like it or not.” I took my coat, I needed to leave. Fighting was killing me, and I was wrong, but I couldn´t be anywhere him anymore. “Oh by the way you should be happy, because of Sam you won't have to ask any more questions about us two. Because all we are and ever will be is best friends.” I said on the way out. Tears kept running down my face blurring my vision. My whole body ached. my heart was about to explode and the idea of wanting to bury myself in a hole and never come out was tempting. The damage was there, I not only had fucked up things with Finn, I most likely had lost him. And after everything, the feelings were still there.

This just got way more interesting 🌈 I've been wandering around this monochromatic hell scape without any sign of color for days, maybe weeks. I'd almost given up my will to carry on when in the corner of my eye I spotted something contrasting with the grayscale that had become my existence. Athirst for any semblance of color I stumbled forth and after thirty minutes of lighter and decreasingly lighter grays, I finally reached a small but encouraging oasis in shades of mulberry and plum. I had arrived and beyond this pigmented waterhole laid an astonishing vista in all the colors of the rainbow 🏜️ This is what it felt like to rid myself of S13, S43, S77-79, S156 and S158 and get to use some more livid beads. And to think some of you nag me about being too dramatic. I say it's you who are not living life at it's fullest 🎭 I have been at this one for so long and 90 percent of it is just gray and black. I feel how I made excuses not to bead but this feeling right now is why I do this. To infinity and beyond 🦸♀️ Do you have similar experiences when crafting? — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2FggwdV

Some Lite Irony
I meet Bum el Niño in a local coffee spot called Buona Caffe. The weird thing is, neither of us drink coffee, a kind of irony that Niño exudes in his work: contractions, opposing values, and a sense of clarity that seems slightly out of place. I want to figure out why this album sounds the way it does, where this sense of direction comes from despite the diverse sound scape. Every song on the record is unique. Unique enough to be on a separate album, a fact that of course is ironic as our first few exchanges at the table. I order a spiced tea, and find Niño at the table in the back. He has his own water bottle, which is weird only because he suggested we meet here, yet he orders nothing. I decide to ask him if he wants anything.
Niño: No, I’m ok, I got my water.
The water bottle is a blue 32 ounce wide mouth.
I: What do you usually get from here? You have any favorites?
N: Nah, I’ve had the tea once, but usually I don’t get anything.
I couldn’t help but think of the sign at the counter that asked that all guest purchase something. It seems Niño’s very presence here was a contradiction.
I: So this is just a good spot to conduct interviews then, huh?
N: I really don’t do press (chuckles).
I: Well think of this as a studio session (chuckles).
N: (Laughs): That’s cool. Turn me up on the left.
I: As a prerequisite for my studio sessions with new people, I am a little interested in past sessions.
N: Told you I don’t do press (chuckles). They’ve been productive, which might be another way to say boring.
I: For the latest project in particular?
N: Yeah, those been really productive, but I think the least boring one might’ve been Free Max B. That was a fun session.
I: That’s a compelling record. I imagine you’re referring to the second part. What inspired you, or should I say what inspired the smoothest brother?
N: Definitely the greats: Bootsy, George and ‘nem. Sly fasho. Probably Sly the most. I was thinking Sly would say some slick, pimp like shit like “I know you like to be polite, but baby I can do ya right” you know? And alot of funk seemed like the the soundtrack to black power. So I tell my people don’t give up so easy, which I think we know but forget sometimes.
I: People as in black people?
N: Yeah.
I: Of which we’re the only two here, if you noticed (laugh).
N: (Laughs) Oh yeah I always notice.
I: So this is kind of an interesting place for a studio session coming of this album. It seems like you’re making some strong statements about race throughout-
N: If you’re about to ask if the album is for Caucasians, then no (laughs),
I: (Laughs) That reminds me of a line on Let Loose: “I am not from the Caucasus, I am not Caucasian”. When I heard that line I thought of irony.
N: Ok, why’s that?
I: The line seemed out of place. I think you created a world on the project, in which white people are very, uh, absent. Like this album is that juke spot on the corner where the racial make-up is opposite of this spot. There are two of fewer white folks, and you can feel the results of their actions, like maybe segregation, but everyone is so concerned with enjoying their time, no one thinks about segregation or racism.
N: Except the conscious, afro-pick soul brother.
I: (Laughs) Exactly, that line on Let Loose is that dude, always chanting about the man keeping us down.
N: Is he a drunk?
I: Maybe a little (chuckles). It makes me wonder, who are you speaking to on the song? Which makes me wonder who you are speaking to throughout the project.
N: A bunch a different folks. ‘Cause you know how Let Loose starts right? Like (sings) “I know he need you”. So like a love interest is distracted by another person. But the chorus is speaking to America. Like black people been parenting and grandparenting this mug since it started you know? But I think that line came from seeing alot of people forget about the roots of Hiphop. They forget this is black music, even though it’s alot of people who ain’t black involved now. Them people don’t rap about helping us. Sometimes it seems like they exploiting the art form.
I: I see.
N: But your take is bonkers, I’m feeling that.
I: (Chuckles) I wonder if some themes you deal with are sort of difficult for the black community to talk about. There’s a line in Supa/Fun: “Fuck Clarence Thomas, God Bless Anita Hill”. That case was a little before your time, and I think about how some of us really thought Anita Hill should’ve sacrificed her own well-being for the sake of Thomas’ progression as a black man.
N: Yeah, that’s part of what built this country. Black people, and especially black women, putting themselves aside so other people can shine. But whoever don’t get that just being selfish. Those people couldn’t achieve their own accomplishments because their selfishness lead to nowhere, so it hurt them to see other selfishness get interrupted. That be some of them fist afro pick dashiki niggas too.
I: (Laughs) Are there times where you’re a fist afro american? I think of a line again on Supa/Fun: “I flow ‘cause they swam through my ancestor’s blood”. It seems like you’re providing the audience, which is our community, with consciousness. All these lines are amazing by the way. You wrote them all right? (laughs)
N: (Laughs) Yeah, I wrote everything except the verse on Lite In The Daytime. And yeah sometimes you gotta let em know.
I: Kick the knowledge. Speaking of Lite In The Daytime, this album sometimes feels like Rakim and sometimes feels like Pimp C. What were you listening to during the process?
N: Like I said, alot of Sly. There’s A Riot Going On. Probably listened to that like 50 times. A record by Bobby Hutcherson called Head On was in heavy heavy rotation. One of my homies from the web had the cover on his social media profile back in 2013, and I’ve been listening ever since. It gives me direction when I’m making an album. It’s where I got the seven track method, the switch-ups, alot of technical shit.
I: So hold on, homies from the web?
N: Yeah, met him through Instagram.
I: Ah, I’m not on that.
N: Quick story, he came to the city once bought me some breakfast, and dropped like 2 g’s on records. I ain’t even have no job at the time so I was like “yo that’s wild”, but you know, some people get down like that. (Laughs)
I: Do you collect records?
N: Not quite. I buy records to listen to ‘em.
I: (Chuckles).
N: Man some people buy records just to say they got ‘em, never play ‘em, just take pictures of em or brag about special presses or retail value. I think it’s silly. Like if you ain’t doin’ nothin’ with it, you may as well give it to somebody who can use it.
I: You mentioned Bobby Hutcherson; he’s a jazz musician correct?
N: Yeah, vibraphonist.
I: You might be the first rapper I’ve met who knows that. Did you sample any of his records on this project?
N: Can’t tell you that (chuckles). But nah I didn’t. But he inspired what I was trying to do alot. Sometimes you gotta have reverence when it comes to sampling. Some records shouldn’t be touched. Like have a top five that you’d never sample.
I: What are yours?
N: Hmm; it’s gonna seem like I was waiting on this question but Head On, I Fooled You This Time, Original Ragga Muffin, What Time Is It, and Is My Living In Vain. I’ll never flip anything on those. They’re too good.
I: That’s outstanding. That last one’s a gospel record correct?
N: Yeah, The Clarke Sisters.
I: So how’d you feel about the Jay-Z sample? (Laughs)
N: Terrible. (laughs) Like one of the worst flips I ever heard. But it’s on my forbidden list so I wouldn’t even touched it. Honestly, I didn’t care for the flip on Lite In The Daytime at first. But when the bass line hit I started feeling it.
I: How’d that song come about?
N: The homie I worked with, Jermond, was saying how he rapped. And you know, everybody be rappin’ so I ain’t really pay it no mind. Most of the time, I don’t take rappers seriously unless I hear ‘em do some freestylin’. I think that’s the mark of a dope emcee. So one day I heard freestyle and I was like “ok you got skills”, so I told him I made beats. Fast forward like two weeks and I’m listening to a famous harmonica player. I found like a six second section I liked. Broke up the notes in the [Boss SP] 303 and then played em backwards. Then I added some drums from a lil mini drum machine. Then I was like, this beat is trash. The thing about the 303 though is it saves workflow, so it was still even after I turned everything off. So the next day, I turned the 303 back on, and it was still there. I got out my bass machine and just started playing a random scale and boom, there it was. As I was playing the bass line, a hook came to my mind. It felt like some pimp shit (chuckles). You know Maya Angelou was a madame? So I thought of some Maya Angelou pimp shit (laughs), like I’m tryna put you on game, share some wisdom you know? Anyway, Jermond spit a dope freestyle, and one day we was at work not doing much and I showed him the beat and the hook. He was like “Oh snap that shit crazy” you know. And I was like “yo you wanna get a verse on here”, and he was like “Hell yeah”. I sent him the beat to his email. So fast forward another two weeks, and I recorded the hook. I also had a verse partially written down on the cover of a Klique record. So I hit him that day, no answer. Very next day: I was just about to go in to record that partial verse, and he calls me, kind of drunk. He was like “I got a verse ready man” and I was like “when can you record” and he hit me with the “I’m out of town these next couple weeks, but after that anytime”. Man I was like “aight” (laughs). So in the two weeks, I’m listening to the Streets Taste song and this instrumental, got them both in heavy rotation. And I think hearing together made me like the instrumental alot. The hook and the bass line made it more enjoyable for me. Two weeks pass, and I finally get Jermond in the studio.
I: (Laughs) And smooth sailing from there?
N: (Laughs) He didn’t have the verse written if that’s what you mean by smooth sailing. But he did bring a notebook and his own water. No pen though. So I had to play the beat over and over, and he finally got it finished, and recorded in a only a few takes. That’s when the smooth sailing probably happened. Like on his way out the door. But it was a fun session, and his verse ended up being the length of the rap section so it worked out. But yeah dope bass lines, catchy hooks, and listening a thousand times might make you like a beat more (chuckles).
I: (Chuckles): That makes me wonder, what are some of your favorite songs on this project?
N: Knock is wild. Shout out to Bruce and Daniel; they came through on them joints for real. I really love that (sings) if I had a-nother sack/I would roll it light it pass it around. That’s exactly the music I was trying to make. Of course Streets Taste. James was behind that beat. That was the first one that was made so everything else kind of fell into that genre. It’s like the running theme. What they call it, thesis?
I: Right.
At this point things started to make sense. The irony of being black in America ties this album together, tied this very conversation together. We don’t really belong here, but it wouldn’t exist without us. We all experience being black differently, but get treated with the same disdain. It seems that Lite Won’t arrive Late is summarizing or soundtracking this phenomenon. Niño continues.
N: Let Loose was a dope session. Art came in straight killing it from the jump. Harmonizing like Zapp and Roger and shit. Then we put that Color Me Badd on there. Oooooh!
Niño beings to sing the song, replicating the beat on the table with his fist, knuckles and snaps. As a white woman looks over, he simply continues, failing to acknowledge her. Again irony arises.
N: (Sings) I wanna bless you up! Ooooh. That joint was wild, man.
I: So since we’re back at Let Loose can you talk a little about your rhythmic approach.
N: Nah that’s a secret (chuckles). But lemme talk about skits. To all the sorry, non-creative ass rappers out there, you gotta be thoughtful about the skits. They gotta bring your shit together.
I: Do you think the skits help with the coherence?
N: Yeah that’s what they there for (chuckles). You heard Badillac?
I: Yes. Very powerful record.
N: ‘Cause the skits.
I: Were you influenced by any West Coast rap on that one?
N: Most def. I was tryna get that G-funk feel in the whole thing. Yo, Ice Cube had them skits!
I: (Chuckles): You drew from alot of comedians also. Was that intentional?
N: Can’t tell you none of that, but test in power to Bernie Mac.
I: Indeed.
Niño begins to rise, collecting his water bottle.
N: Is this the part where I plug the album?
I: It can be.
N: Well I’ll say go write ya’ll Congresspeople to get the monuments at the Legacy Museum in Alabama and work on ya’ll skits!
As I leave the coffee spot, Niño hands me a cassette tape of the album.
N: (Raps) Never put me in ya box of ya shit eats tapes (Laughs). Peace man.
The irony that Niño masterfully displays in this project, along with the technical skill, creative risks and wins, and themes of black empowerment makes Lite Wont Arrive Late required listening in this turbulent era, where too many give up on progression to easily.

Broke Down- Tyler Joseph
“Fuck, no don’t stop. Not here. Fuck.” you said as your car slowly started to make a strange noise and slow down. You pulled to the side of the highway and called your boyfriend.
“Hey babe, are you almost home?” Tyler asks with a cheerful voice.
“Ugh. no this piece of shit car just broke down. I think the battery died again? Will you come pick me up?” you dreaded asking for favors but you knew Tyler wouldn’t care.
“Of course send me your location. I’ll be there soon love.”
You hung up and sent your location to Tyler hoping that he would get there soon. You were on a highway that nobody ever used and it was starting to get dark.
You sat in your car stalking on instagram and your other social medias when you heard a knock on your window.
You jumped when you saw a strange man standing looking into your window.
“Can I help you?” you said not opening the door.
“Let me in.” the man said.
“No, could you please leave. My boyfriend is on his way, he’ll be here any minute.” the man stood up straight and looked as if he was going to walk away, but he didn’t. He got into the passenger seat of your car. You couldn’t lock the doors because your car wasn’t starting.
He reached for your hand and you pulled away quickly. You could hear your heart pounding from fear. The man smelt like he hadn’t showered in weeks and he looked it too. The smell of smoke and alcohol filled your car.
You grabbed your phone and reached for the door handle and tried to escape his grip. He wouldn’t let go at first but you got your hand away from him and started to walk fast way from the car, dialing Tyler’s number. You heard the man following you so you quickly picked up your pace into a sprint when Tyler picked up.
“Hey babe i’m just about a mile down the road. Are you okay?” you were panting into the phone while running.
“Please hurry, there’s a man and he got into my car. He’s following me.” you heard Tyler’s car accelerate.
“Hold on I’m coming.” you saw headlights in the distance as the man grabbed your wrist pushing you to the ground. You felt the skin on your arms and knees scape on the pavement.
“You shouldn’t have run little girl.” the man said into your ear as he held you down.
“Get the hell of her. NOW!” you heard Tyler approaching you.
The man pulled you up to your feet and held you close to him.
“Let go of her you bastard.” Tyler said punching the man straight in the nose. He continued to kick him to the ground. He pulled you into a hug as he brought you to the car. Before you knew it you were buckled and already making your way home.
“Fuck. Y/N I’m sorry. Did he hurt you?”
“No. Well sort of, but it’s just some scrapes.”
Tyler held on to your hand fingers intertwined. Rubbing small circle on your hand with his thumb.
Once arriving home Tyler brought you into the bathroom to clean your cuts.
“Thank you Ty.” you said as you sat on the counter and he put a band aid on your last wound.
“For what?”
“You’re always there when I need you and I’m so grateful for that. I probably don’t thank you enough or show you enough how much you mean to me. I love you.”
He stood now holding you face with one hand rubbing your cheek.
“I love you too. You show me how grateful you are everyday by being with me. I’ll always be there for you no matter what. That’s what you do for people you love right?” you pulled him in close and kissed his lips.
“Yes, yes it is.”
“Hey what do you say tomorrow we go look at a new car for you. I don’t think we need anymore trouble with that old one.”
“Sounds good with me. I love you.”
“I love you too Y/N.”
