bcj headcanons that no one asked for

he’s extremely manipulative and that shows up in pretty much all of his relationships. he knows when to shut up and let people’s assumptions play out to his advantage. he knows how to exploit other people’s desires or weaknesses to get his way. even if its with someone he loves, like evan, barty is still willing to outright lie to evan just to keep him happy. his own manipulative tendencies are unlike evan’s, who usually resorts to shaming and gaslighting and bullying people to to make them feel as bad/anxious as possible. barty can and will do that, but overall, he is way more covert and calculated about it

resident Task Doer. He lives to check off a list of activities, major or minor. If he’s assigned to do something, he dedicates himself to it completely, and will not stop until it’s over. this is part fo the reason he loves schemes so much, it’s just an elaborate list of tasks he can do to ultimatley Win.

needy and cloying, he lives for attention, but he’s only going to ever respond to a specific type of it. He’ll mostly disregard any care he gets from the Average Joe, he needs some sort of figure, an idea to latch onto. Voldemort is a larger than life figure. People call him their Lord, in a way he’s the DEs own mortal god. He’s this post-societal, all powerful father figure and Barty’s addicted to the idea of being his surrogate son. Similarly to the reason he gets attached to Evan, whose this archetypal Perfect Pureblood boy. He’s attractive, seemingly confident, dresses well, from a powerful family, he’s a little cruel, he’s invulnerable. That’s something Barty wants to latch onto and be consumed into.

he’s extremely uncomfortable within his own body and even his soul ig? his autonomy was always only a privilege in his childhood, so he has a very complicated relationship with control. Adversarial, even. He’s stunted and out of place in his own identity, so he seeks out people he admires to be used by them. In a way, if Barty is a vessel for other people then maybe they’ll leave part of themself in him to keep.

I have a recurring dream of hector, and paris is not in it. I dream of him frozen in a moment in time that forces me to relive the heartache and terror I put him through. he's separated from me by water; at times it appears to be a lake, and other times an ocean. I hear the roar of waves and the wind chill against my face, but hector does not move from his spot. I cannot discern if he says anything to me during these moments. he just stands there, away from me, just like before. he looks so small and fragile marooned out there, and yet I cannot save him. as I stand firmly rooted in place, as I've done so many times before, a heavy fog begins to roll over the tide. it engulfs everything in its path, including hector. my voice seizes, a lump forms in my throat as I watch him vanish before my eyes. I feel hot tears mixed with kohl race down and stain my cheeks, and still, I cannot speak. I cannot cry. I cannot scream. all I can do is stand there, just like I've always done before, suddenly so helpless and useless in the face of a horror of my own making. I failed him. I pushed him aside so callously when he needed me the most. he will always be here, trapped by ever-flowing water. I cannot reach him… not anymore. — ♫

if your favourite driver is Lewis Hamilton...then i would recommend Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

the connection between this book and lewis is what inspired this whole post in the first place. a comeback story even if you have proven all there is to be proven? trying to beat all the odds against you even time? being an all-time champion AND an underdog? there are so many links that can be made between carrie and lewis not just with their careers and relationships but also what adversities they have had to face. idk but is this like manifesting that lewis is going to be "back" for his 8th wdc?

ah mr wannabe investigator (we all saw him checking out that redbull) but seriously there's something we grussell sprouts must enjoy about someone who seems so straight-laced and uptight be absolutely blatantly unhinged both on and off track. it's just so george to choose literal murder inquiry as a school project, from the ambition bordering on arrogance of believing a high schooler could do what the authorities couldn't to the genuine heartfelt sincerity in wanting the truth and to bring justice for those already deemed outcasts by society. he's OUR good girl that's not-so-secretly "bad".

my faves with my faves. mercedes aren't a national institution/emotion (ferrari), a team (red bull racing), a villains' lair (ashton martin) or a pop band (mclaren) but a family. a dysfunctional, awkward, barely concealed hot mess of a family, but family nonetheless. chasing victory while trying to survive the horrors of life and each other is the merc way and you will see the same in this trilogy. *toto voice* loyalty!

picked this based on vibes, just pure vibes but immaculate ones. the drama, the glitz, the glam yes but also the family, friendship, and love found within the pages of this series. this is british gossip girl. i am telling you there is a vision here people.

(+ bonus review because this might be the only book on this list that has less (3.84) than 4+ stars on goodreads and i can't do him and y'all dirty like that: i personally didn't love the first book but the series really comes together and you truly get invested in these characters and their happiness, actually pretty excited to read more.

wow like you think he didn't step out of a magical retelling of 1001 nights? mhm but let's leave aside the fact i am still not convinced otherwise. carlos this year has shown his insane mega ultra galaxy brain, so i believe the plot of the wrath & the dawn would be something that would resonate with you. the quick wit and guile of the mc as she tries to carry out a revenge plot while trying to not get executed is only comparable to carlos coming up with his own race strategy mid race and cementing himself as the only non-rbr race winner in 2023. wow.

he has that sadness in his eyes that you only see in tragic greek myths etc etc. i will have to say, achilles walked so charles leclerc could race. *soft longing sigh* il predestinato and aristos achaion, the predestined and the best of the greeks. beloveds born and bathed in golden light. it just makes sense to me.

BUT it hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows (helmut marko if i catch you). so i think any emily henry book but especially beach read captures the ups and downs of alex's journey so well compared to just any ole romcom (...but if i had to give one for the alex enjoyers then it would be Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter, coincidentally also george and alex coded lmao).

but was it his remarkable drive back to f1 or the recent holiday beach pics that was the reason behind this rec? i guess we will never know

Decided to finally draw up an emo band for League of legends, roles for each character are:

Talon (originally the drummer but becomes the lead singer when front man quits, didn’t want to join bc he got bullied for being emo in middle school, is now here after being “lovingly encouraged” to join by his friend briar).

heavy Gerard way/early my Chemical romance inspiration for him, learned to play guitar because he thought it was cool but switched to drums because it annoyed his sisters more. Is still an emo kid and fully embarrasses it as time goes on. Weapon is a drumstick he grips the same way you would a straw when pretending to be the wolverine. Could also just have it attached to a bracelet or doe thing idk.

Hwei (front man but later leaves the band after being lured away, probably joins again later on)

inspired by lead singer of paramour, he gets two outfits shown bc I love the second one but I think the first is a bit more in brand for the vibe of the group. Is definitely going to be monochrome but have bits of his usual color pallet show up either in the threads and paint or as like a pattern or something. Weapon is probably going to be a mic and paint can just be a punch of music noted or sheet music.

Varus (bass player/ back up guitarist, becomes lead guitarist after Hwei leaves. Did some solo stuff and traveled between a few other groups before being approached to join by Hweii)

deisgn inspired by Andy black from black veil brides (Basically stole his look) and Ronnie from Falling in reverse. Was an ex military dude who fell into music after service, is in his late twenties while the others are in their early twenties so he gives off big older brother energy. Is in a poly relationship with Valmsr and Kai who basically adopt the other members of the band and are down to kill anyone who tries to hurt them. Don’t ask how I’m going to turn his guitar into a bow, it’ll some how happen.

Briar (pianist for a different emo band but is friends with Talon and low key forced him to join bc she knew he was still and emo kid at heart)

is a member of a trio that includes Rell and Jinx ( their designs will be posted as soon as I figure out the fuck I’m going to do with Rell’s armor), she plays keyboard and meet talon either in college and found out about his “emo phase” or was a friend of his in middle school so was their when it happened, either way when she heard about a band looking for a drummer she hoped on board to sign talon up. Is also besties with Alune from heart steel and is the calm one out of the two.

Her pilary is the piano btw, has a lot of spikes and shit, didn’t get around to designing it. Might show up later. Design is just based off goth girls from the 2000s.

DEMYA

Demya can sometimes get distracted by other activities, so it wouldn't be that unlikely that she wouldn't always pay attention to her D.D.D and consequently miss some texts from MC. Eventually when Demya would check her D.D.D throughout the day, she would notice a sketch sent by MC, showing herself drawn in the style of a certain videogame, as Ashley. Demya would know few details about it, so at first she would suspect it was a reference to her cannibalism, which would make her almost happy, like a quote, but then by doing more research, Demya would discover the incest detail, quite disgusting...MC better start running, because Demya knows her mate's scent and will hunt them down-

DOMNRA/MOBIM

Usually if Domnra is busy training or listening to way too loud music with headphones to hear his D.D.D ringing, Mobim would be in charge of replying to texts, while the little curse would bring the D.D.D to Domnra in case of calls, since Mobim only knows how to express itself through squeaks. On an occasion where even Mobim fails to intervene in time, then it would be the time MC would send such punishment to their partner via text. Domnra would choke on his spit at seeing himself represented as a character from the Boyfriends webtoon, especially Goth, because not only would Domnra know the webtoon's terrible reputation, but he would also find it offensive and take it personally. MC should prepare themselves to receive a voice message, lasting about half an hour, in which an annoyed Domnra would shout swears and order MC to delete such garbage

AZUL

Azul is quite often on social media, however when busy with photography or painting, he would tend to keep his D.D.D on silent, to avoid distractions, consequently missing texts, even from MC. Azul would know perfectly well about the reputation of the Boyfriends webtoon, being in step with internet trends and memes, so noticing himself drawn as Nerd, he would let out a dismayed gasp, but he wouldn't be discouraged, two can play the same game. MC would receive in the following days sketches of them drawn pregnant with Shrek holding their belly or in a threesome with Mario and Sonic, after all it was MC who started the war and Azul wouldn't back down

ZURI

Zuri often receives commissions via email or important phone calls, so she would be quite careful with her D.D.D, however it could happen every now and then that while she is busy with the sewing machine, Zuri may not hear MC's texts. As soon as Zuri noticed their text, which was a sketch of her drawn as a certain Renee Graves, she would look at the drawing with a raised eyebrow, trying to grasp the motivation behind it. After some research, Zuri's expression would turn exasperated and cold. Zuri would then inform MC that if they wanted their privilege of receiving affection revoked, then they could have semply asked for it directly, letting MC reflect on their childish actions and then expecting an apology

ODON

Odon wouldn't be very experienced with technology, in fact they would be quite certain that due to their eldritch nature, electronic devices struggle to function properly in their presence, so MC would be quite heartless to blame Odon for it. Furthermore, Odon is very knowledgable, but on ancient matters, while on more modern topics they would be quite clueless, therefore at the sight of themselves drawn like Andrew from The Coffin Of Andy And Leyley, Odon wouldn't understand that it's supposed to be a punishment, they would think MC did such thing only for the similarity between their colors and would politely thank MC for the present, complimenting their artistic skills (please protect Odon-)

REMIEL

(Please protect Remiel pt.2-) Remiel would have no idea how technology works, she has never used it and would need help the first few times before understanding how a D.D.D works, even if she wouldn't reach Simeon's levels. Remiel, as she's often busy with leading souls to the afterlife, may not have much time to reply to texts and therefore would be forced to read them later and get used to controlling the device. Noticing MC's text, Remiel would notice a sketch of herself drawn in a certain style, like Goth, even if she wouldn't realize that it was the Boyfriends webtoon, so she would simply reply with a question mark, as if to ask what the sketch was about, making MC feel almost guilty, given Remiel's innocence

NATHANIEL

Surprisingly, Nathaniel would know how to use a D.D.D and would be quite up to date with technology and internet, however due to his celestial duty, he would often find himself forced to respond with a slight delay, a mistake which to his surprise, MC would make him pay dearly for. Nathaniel would notice a text, showing himself drawn as Prep from the Boyfriends webtoon and would observe in silence for a few seconds, before writing to MC that perhaps spending too much time in Devildom has made them fit to become a demon, there is a circle of hell especially for people as them after all, he would add, although it wouldn't be clear from his texts whether Nathaniel is serious or kidding

URIEL

Uriel wouldn't consider using a D.D.D necessary, believing that MC chanting her name would be enough to make her come down from the Celestial Realm to their aid, however given MC's insistence, she would agree to bring her D.D.D with her, but often forgetting to check it, not used to have it. Uriel would finally deign to respond to MC and noticing the sketch of herself in the guise of Jock from the Boyfriends webtoon, not understanding the reference, she would demand explanations from MC. If MC confessed the details, Uriel would show up at MC's location, loudly telling MC they should be ashamed and that she will not tolerate such insults

Honestly, I sound like an idiot, and I know Inside Out 2 isn't out yet but I still have trust issues with Disney. I heard that Disney/Pixar wants to just make sequels of other movies instead of coming up with their own ideas... which is messed up! And do we need another freaking Toy Story movie? The only "Toy Story" I'll sick to is the original, which is Raggedy Ann & Andy a Musical Adventure! Btw, the digital circus was inspired heavily by Raggedy Ann & Andy, while the first Toy Story movie was a straight knock off. Sorry if you grew up with Toy Story, but it's a knock off! SPREAD THE WORD!

About The Amazing Digital Circus episode 3, I'm not into stuff that's too dark or disturbing but I hope the episode 3 is as good as the first too. I don't really celebrate Halloween (religious reasons) and I really hope they don't make it too creepy for me to handle. I'm really obsessed with the TADC stuff and I want to stay in the fandom! I love the humor and it's okay if it's a little dark, like how Raggedy Ann & Andy movie was too.

Finally, about the new Wallace & Gromit movie! Part of me is excited, but a little disappointed that it wouldn't be like how I heard it was. Also, I'm not crazy about feathers the penguin, I think wrong trousers is a good movie but I'm not sure how I feel about feathers returning. I'm mostly mad because WHERE IS MY GIRL FLUFFLES AT??? Oh well, it's Aardman, how bad can it be? It's probably still gonna be good

Sam's drinks at home are always something elaborate, like here, but outside he always just drinks energy drinks and such. For all that Felix is the one that eats the least, he drinks a lot, and his mug is proof enough. Jake can't stand the taste of coffee or tea, but a good ol' hot cocoa is always welcome. And Andy doesn't like sweets.

BTW, I have never made any of this drinks, nor have I gotten them from the internet. I literally made them up from the things I drew on the table, which was the first thing I drew on this. Im actually quite proud that I used every single ingridient, except the lime mermelade and the napkins xD

On that note, I have absolutely 0 idea whether any of them are any good, and I'm not responsible for any food poisoning you might get by trying it. Or caffeine overdose, in Felix and Andy's cases.

Goodbye Eri by Tatsuki Fujimoto was a one-shot web manga released on the Shonen Jump+ Website and published in print later that year. I read it in print, this review is actually a reread. Spoilers for first third or so of Goodbye Eri and implied spoilers for Fujimoto's other works mostly Fire Punch. Now that I think about it, Eri or Togata should be the profile picture, I just had Asa on hand. Goodbye Eri is a work I very much enjoy ^.^ It and Togata's film metaphors in Fire Punch are major reasons I started posting reviews particularly of movies in the first place. That as well as a High School film class with the most tired teacher on Earth, who seemed to actually like all the work I submitted. I think that a lot of the time it's hard to find good movies coming out, most movies in good ol' USA anyway are mostly made for money. I mean I can't really blame them I guess movies are freakin' expensive dude but it's not so often I feel you find something real nice that's not from an already well established director like my good pal Wes Andy. You see stuff like spider verse maybe but then you here about the horrible working conditions behind the product, ugh product that's nasty let's go with.. uhh piece? movie is probably the best bet.

Anyway Goodbye Eri is about watching movies, making movies, relationships, memory. By the way I promise you this is not just going to be a plot summary though this next paragraph will be the start of the book. Yuta's mother gets him a smartphone for his 12th birthday and asks him to record her dying moments as she has some sort of terminal illness. The entire manga is shown through a phone camera btw usally using landscape shots. After he runs away, failing to capture his mothers final moments, and turning it into a movie ending with an explosion. His movie gets mocked and he decides to take his own life, but before he can jump off a hospital roof, he meets a mysterious girl named Eri. Eri recognizes him from his movie, drags him to an abandoned building, and makes him to watch movies so he can make a better one. This like reignites his spirit.

I really really like Goodbye Eri. I know Eri probably gets the MPDG allegations and that's like.. stupid sorry. I'm sure she does in the same way Togata (Fire Punch) does, but Togata is like not that he's pretending to be that. I'm not gonna go very far into that this isn't about Fire Punch. Anyway I think Eri is far too interesting for that. Yuta also is a very interesting character he's kind of a weirdo but of course he is I mean it seems like he's sort of an outcast he spent his entire middle school making a movie about his dead mom. This book actually inspired me to watch a movie everyday which I consistently fail but y'know I get better at committing every week. I think this one-shot also really shows off Fujimoto's grasp on like the "Silent Panel" how he can show a lot without any dialogue or very little for even whole pages, he's also insane at slightly shifting expressions. There are also several pure black panels, this is interesting to me because since the story is shot through a phone and it is a "video" his phone must be face down, there's probably background noise. I also think the subtle habits Yuta and Eri notice from each other is very accurate to what happens when you spend a lot of time with someone. There's also a very cool blur effect in this manga, someone told me if you remove all the blurred panels the story is different, but I don't think that's necessarily purposeful? Idk, tell me if anyone knows anything

Major Spoilers Past Here

It's absolutely worth buying this because it's so interesting on reread due to sort of a major twist in the middle/end. His mom wasn't a good person. You could guess this by her strange almost cruel request of her 12 year old son to film her death and Yuta's father crying earlier on but this could all be interrupted as just the grief of her tragic situation. But no, she yells at her son and her husband, she hits Yuta at one point, criticizes what he films and is calls him useless to his father in her final moments. Yuta's father was shocked when she was a good mom in the movie, Eri says he shoots his mother beautifully. We also find out later after Eri dies(?) from Eri's one other friend that she had glasses and a dental retainer, which were taken out from the movie. This means every single shot with Eri that actually happened was reshot. This kind of explains her movie like dialogue in some bits where she's just trying to be cool or dramatic. I love the ending, it's so interesting that where you think would be a title drop it's only implied by an earlier shot.

TLDR: Buy Goodbye Eri from a bookstore or pirate it I'm not your boss, you'll always find something new when you read. Heavily Recommend. It made me cry it's awesome.

I imagine their first kiss was intiated by Pip because I think Ravi didn’t want to ruin his friendship with her.

I think it was at one of their houses. They were just sitting on the bed talking about Sal and The Andie Bell case.

“I can’t express how grateful I’m, Sarge. You gave my brother the justice he deserved and I’m forever in debt to you.”

Pip would reply “Give yourself some credit, Agent Ravi! After all, you were my partner.” there would be this moment of silence and Pip would pull Ravi and press their mouths together.

He would start kissing her back and she’d pull back and be like “I thought you’d never do it!”

“I wasn’t sure you liked me back, Sarge.”

Pip would laugh and be like “You’re way too smart to be that dense.”

He’d laugh and be like “I guess I am.”

And then they’d kiss again and they get walked on by one of their parents (probably Victor) who would definitely be like “Oh, finally! I’m glad you guys figured it out because everyone could see it but you two!”

Pip is a demisexual queen and Ravi is a bisexual/pansexual king and don’t ask me why they just give me those vibes!

Ravi’s first crush was SRK (a famous Indian actor) and he was so confused because in all of the movies he’d seen the guy is supposed to love the girl so he tells Sal and Sal tells him that sometimes people love someone of the same gender and there’s nothing wrong with him.

He comes out to Pip a few months into their relationship while watching a movie (the movie is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge btw trust me I was with them).

“You know, he was my first crush!”

At first, Ravi is nervous because what if Pip does not want to date a guy who is attracted to other guys too, but Pip’s answer would be a faux pouty “That’s not fair! How am I supposed to compete with Bolloywood’s biggest romance star?!”

And then Pip would actually get serious and tell him that it’s totally okay he needn’t to worry at all.

“Before you, I’ve never been attracted to anyone. I thought there was something wrong with me, too. And then I told Cara and after a very deep internet scroll, I settled on the term demisexual.”

Ravi would definitely smirk/grin and reply something like “So what I’m hearing is that I’m so sexy, I awakened something in you?” and Pip would roll her eyes and be like “I knew it’d get to your head.”

Ravi loves rainy weather because it reminds him of the first time Pip said “I love you.”

Ravi is definitely the cook between the two and he loves making Pip meals.

Especially breakfast in the bed.

Pip loves cradling her fingers in Ravi’s hair whenever they’re cuddling.

Ravi teases Pip about her height by putting her things on the top shelves (in honor of me going crazy over Zain’s and Emma’s height difference pt.2).

He would eventually give them to her, but of course it’s after a little cute angry Pip scolding!

Ravi has a scar on his chest due to a clumsy childhood accident that Pip jokes is hot!

“Yes, Pip. I know how very sexy and hot I am.”

Ravi knows how to play violin. I’d like to believe Sal taught him when they were young.

Pip loves writing poetry, but she keeps it a secret because it’s embarrassing (she has written many poems about Ravi).

Ravi finds them one day and he is brought to tears by how beautiful they’re.

“They’re actually inspired by you.” and here comes more tears and laughter and hugs.

Ravi would be like “I’m just so lucky to have you.”

Ravi has a good singing voice and he sometimes sings to Pip to soothe her back to sleep whenever she has nightmares.

I mentioned that Ravi is a swiftie but I forgot to mention that Pip starts liking Taylor’s music because of him.

And yes they go to the eras tour together. They’d even dress up in outfits inspired by their favorite albums/eras.

Pip would probably wear a simple dress with the cardigan because her favorite album is folklore/evermore and it’s not up to debate!

Ravi would probably put rhinestones around his eyes to imitate the lover album cover and wear some pastel colored outfit (most likely some knitted sweater and cargo pants).

Pip would so love the song “sweet nothing” because it reminds her of Ravi.

Forehead kisses from Ravi are Pip’s favorite while Ravi prefers the kisses Pip presses to the corner of his mouth and his cheeks.

They’re not the ones for big PDA but they do subtle ones like hand holding or a hand on each other’s thigh under the table or some such thing.

Ravi loves playing footsies with Pip when they’re having dinner with either of their parents because her blush is so cute.

Pip loves listening to audio books while Ravi prefers reading.

Pip claims that she is not the jealous type of gf but she definitely is! Like she trusts Ravi and she’s secure about their love but she just hates it when someone is friendly/flirty with him.

I think her jealousy stims from her insecurity that she doesn’t deserve him.

He always assures her that he feels like the luckiest person alive to have her and that she’s literally perfect to him.

I think Ravi is more protective than jealous, but he knows that his girl can protect herself after all she is Pippa freaking Fitz-Amobi.

He still tries to protect her despite that (like the time he yelled at Max).

Ravi’s biggest insecurity is probably his body because he’s not very muscular or strong.

Pip always assures him that he’s perfect by leaving kisses on his chest.

“Brains beat brawn any day of the week!” (Actual quote from the book btw)

The first time Ravi visits Pip in Cambridge, she takes him on a tour around campus and all of her classmates are very shocked because they didn’t think THE Pippa Fitz-Amobi is capable of being chatty and bubbly!

“Who are you and what have you done with my classmate Pippa??”
