Random thought that popped into my head for a fic idea that would be super angsty and awful for all parties involved and that also I just would never write. So if anyone does want to write it feel free...but this is me just getting out the whole idea so it doesn't sit in my head collecting dust.
Under the cut for length.
This is inspired by Izzie and George on Grey's Anatomy and how Izzie was always anti-Callie and in the end broke their marriage up by cheating with George and then their relationship failed spectacularly because they didn't fit together at all.
Now I'm not going to write this, but I thought it'd be kinda hilarious if Eddie kinda looked at his relationship with Buck and then also saw the way that Buck and Tommy were thriving and just kinda decided that actually he's also into guys and he's into Buck. Like fully convinces himself that he and Buck would make more sense together...reads everything Tommy does for Buck in all the wrong ways like his belief that he knows Buck better and stuff like that and he is just purely jealous and maybe it doesn't hurt that others from the 118 mention thinking that Buck and Eddie would get together. Maybe this is all happening right after Chris goes to Texas so Eddie is kinda just grasping at straws and instead of going to therapy he hyperfocuses on this.
Meanwhile Buck and Tommy are still thriving, but Eddie is constantly interrupting them or needing Buck and Buck is a good friend and kinda worried about him so he goes to Eddie every time which does put a little bit of a strain on his relationship with Tommy. Maybe Tommy noticed the Buck and Eddie friendship and comments from others make him start questioning things and although he trusts Buck he starts to wonder if Buck had feelings for Eddie despite Eddie being straight. Tommy is adult enough to sort of mention it and Buck laughs it off.
But then maybe Tommy walks in on Eddie kissing Buck...and on his end it looks a certain way (like full on cheating) when in reality Eddie and Buck were drunk and Eddie impulsively kissed him and Buck didn't react fast enough to stop it from happening.
Tommy and Buck break up...and then Buck goes to talk to Eddie about the kiss and also his own confusion because maybe he did like kissing Eddie. But beer goggles. So Eddie kinda confesses his love for Buck and Buck starts looking at all the things like his involvement with Chris and how close he and Eddie are and all other things and since he's feeling sad about Tommy maybe he decides that it might be worth trying things with Eddie. Mind this happens in the space of a week and he's just very confused and definitely still has feelings for Tommy. Buck mostly feels like he should explore things with Eddie for peace of mind and maybe because everyone is telling him that that is how things should be. He's also sure Tommy is done with him...maybe he has reason to suspect that Tommy hooked up with someone else already idk.
So Buck and Eddie kiss again and maybe they try to go for more and they both lie to each other about enjoying it when neither of them does. Eddie maybe realizing that he's not actually into men or just Buck...and Buck comparing everything back to Tommy and feeling weird about it.
Eventually they both call each other out on lying and Eddie goes to talk to Tommy to apologize and explain and then Buck runs into Tommy and they have coffee together and Tommy lets Buck explain his side of things and they cry and talk it all out and then they get back together.
At their wedding Eddie makes a whole speech about it and they all laugh about it because they're way past it and Buck and Tommy just look back on it and think it's funny.

so i got a lot of love for phoebe, my mean girl female manipulator courier six :’) i’m so glad people like her!! granted, she’s not…likeable beneath her veneer of practiced amicability, but i’m still happy people dig her concept! i know i do, complicated couriers are my bread and butter—and incorporating more traditionally feminine elements into this specific storyline that’s no less brutal than may bells’ was a treat to do!!
my process on making her under the cut!!
(ALSO I FINISHED AN ENTIRE DOC ADHD YOU LOST TODAY)
Tumblr media
honestly, phoebe came to me like lightning one day: i was resting from finals and still in the middle of my may bells playthrough when i came across this neat analysis of regina george as a dictator on my youtube FYP:
youtube
my half-dry brain: what if…we made a courier six that’s JUST LIKE THAT. an enigma of feminine power who weaponizes her assets to survive the wasteland?
and just like that, courier six phoebe was born. at her very core, i modeled her after the film noir femme fatales, but instead of ultra-vampy and mysterious, the persona she’s carefully curated is more on ‘untouchable angel’: she will smile, shake hands, do your errands and be nice, all the while keeping a distance because she knows you know that she’s only a dream you can have. but what wouldn’t you do for such a dreamy girl in the middle of the post-post-apocalyptic nightmare?
still, that doesn’t mean she’s no less deadly. she’s still human. if you piss her off, she’s going to…respond.
also, as you can see in her inspiration sheet, a huge chunk of the pegs i had for her are ultra-feminine queen bees, with varying degrees of…kindness. they’re also young, because she’s young: by the time the events of new vegas roll around, she’s only 20 years old.
let’s get to specifics (L-R, top to bottom)
Rita Hayworth’s Gilda: this one is pretty self-explanatory. call her what you want: the bombshell, the femme fatale, the desert angel, she doesn’t care if it gets her caps, favors, and access to things she otherwise wouldn’t have if she was true to her more awkward and snooty self.
Nicole Kidman’s Suzanne Stone, To Die For: yeah, that’s a face to die for. for phoebe, they also share in that all-consuming ambition: once phoebe gets a goal, it doesn’t matter what’s going on or what’s going to stop her. nothing is going to get in her way to achieve it, even if it means she has to kill someone. or open her legs.
Katherine Heigl’s Izzie Stevens: for this character, she’s more of a physical inspiration. in FNV’s character creation, i had a picture of her on standby to serve as a peg to copy LMFAO even downloaded a mod to make her pretty. i’ve been so obsessed with katherine heigl none of you understand :’) but if any of you have watched grey’s anatomy, you’ll know how genuinely sweet and nice izzie is. that’s the persona phoebe puts forward: scrappy, kind, will bake you cookies if you need it, optimistic and happy. even if she’s not those things, not at her core.
Rachel McAdams’ Regina George: yeah. evil takes a form in phoebe buendia, her doctor ex would say. and maybe she’s right: just like regina, she lies, smiles, and chokes behind the scenes to stay on top in terms of power—the most a courier can wield, anyway. she’s also still just barely out of being a teenage girl: it’s not an entirely happy life pretending you’re sweeter than you are almost 24/7. so she gets her reprieve with the kill missions, especially when the Legion sends her assassins—hell yeah. also, to cultivate a cult of personality, you have to be intelligent. so many people are unaware of how smart phoebe is; the girl’s a damn genius, but she doesn’t play on that often. it’s a big advantage to be underestimated.
Alexa Demie’s Maddy Perez: like izzie, the biggest thing i got from her for phoebe is the allure. the aura. you can’t tell me you don’t look at alexa demie’s smize and not fall to your knees in awe of such sheer beauty. that’s the effect phoebe has, even on the most hardened in the mojave. and, well, yeah, again—just a young girl with confidence oozing out of every unblemished pore.
Natalie Dormer’s Margaery Tyrell: out of all of them, i’d say she’s the most similar to phoebe in terms of personality. she’s known for her ‘beautiful altruism’, with sweeping gestures of charity for anyone who would accept: it’s why freeside and westside love her. but behind closed doors, she’s power-hungry, irritable, petulant and even borderline psychopathic in her quest for ‘a better Mojave, no matter the cost’.
Another major influence, though not pictured here, is the Sofia Coppola-brand of feminine gloom (when she simmers down, or when she was back home in Shady Sands), specifically The Virgin Suicides.
her past + more on her personality is inside the doc! i hope you guys love her as much as i do even though if i met her irl she’d probably flick my forehead for kicks </3
(p.s. i haven’t even talked about her love interests: the aforementioned centurion enemy-husband, legion recruit begrudging ally, followers of the apocalypse ex, and even another one that’s a terrifying great khan who will rip hundreds to shreds to see her smile…should i make a doc about that? it’s in these dynamics her complicated personality shines through the most lmfao)

Considering that OH is heavily inspired by Greys Anatomy, it could really be Rafael who’s dying. Just like the storyline with Izzies cancer... She was super sick, had a survival rate of 5% but she lived after all while George went away (he wanted to join the army) and was hit by a bus, while he pushed away a young woman.
Kinda screams like what Rafael is doing. He’s always been the one to save others and risk his own life, and now he decided to move away.
Plus the ending of Chapter 10 really suggested that Rafael could die. There’s also the logical explanation why MC has better chances of survival: Rafael stood near the canister and got the whole dosage of that weird aerosol-thingy, while MC wasn’t as near.

Sipnosis
Bailey panics as she hears there has been a surge of COVID-19 cases, knowing she has loved ones in an assisted living facility. Meanwhile, Jackson and Richard team up against Catherine to teach her a lesson, and Teddy continues to try to mend her frayed relationships. After an intense surgery, Jo is uncertain about her future.
Storyline
Meet Meredith Grey. She's a woman trying to lead a real life while doing a job that makes having a real life impossible.
Meredith is a first year surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, the toughest surgical residency program west of Harvard. She and fellow first-year interns Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, George O'Malley and Alex Karev were students yesterday. Today they're doctors and, in a world where on the job training can be a matter of life and death, they're all juggling the ups and downs of their own personal lives.
The five interns struggle to form friendships in this most stressful and competitive atmosphere. Meredith's medical ambition is overshadowed by a troubling secret: Her mother, a noted pioneering surgeon, is struggling with a tragic and devastating illness. Cristina is highly competitive and driven, but lacks tact when it comes to bedside manner. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens is the small-town girl who grew up dirt poor and, in spite of paying for her medical career by modeling. Sometimes she cares a little too deeply about her patients. George O'Malley is the warm but insecure boy next door who always manages to do or say the wrong thing at the wrong time. In spite of his attraction to women, he's treated as "just one of the girls". And Alex Karev, the intern the other interns love to have, masks his working class roots with arrogance and ambition.
The interns are guided by an established team of doctors who are determined to shape them into skilled surgeons or break them: Miranda Bailey, a senior resident responsible for training them, is so tough that she's nicknamed "The Nazi". Derek Shepherd is the flirtatious but very capable surgeon who shares a forbidden but undeniable sexual attraction with Meredith. Preston Burke's arrogance is second only to his skill with a scalpel. Overseeing them all is Dr. Richard Webber, Seattle Grace's paternal, but no-nonsense chief of surgery.
Grey's Anatomy focuses on young people struggling to be doctors and doctors struggling to stay human. It's the drama and intensity of medical training mixed with the funny, sexy, painful lives of interns who are about to discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white. Real life only comes in shades of grey.
✌ STREAMING MEDIA ✌ Streaming media is multimedia that is constantly received by and presented to an end-user while being delivered by a provider. The verb to stream refers to the procedure of delivering or obtaining media this way.[clarification needed] Streaming identifies the delivery approach to the medium, rather than the medium itself. Distinguishing delivery method from the media distributed applies especially to telecommunications networks, as almost all of the delivery systems are either inherently streaming (e.g. radio, television, streaming apps) or inherently non-streaming (e.g. books, video cassettes, audio tracks CDs). There are challenges with streaming content on the web. For instance, users whose Internet connection lacks sufficient bandwidth may experience stops, lags, or slow buffering of this content. And users lacking compatible hardware or software systems may be unable to stream certain content.
Streaming is an alternative to file downloading, an activity in which the end-user obtains the entire file for the content before watching or listening to it. Through streaming, an end-user may use their media player to get started on playing digital video or digital sound content before the complete file has been transmitted. The term “streaming media” can connect with media other than video and audio, such as for example live closed captioning, ticker tape, and real-time text, which are considered “streaming text”.
This brings me around to discussing us, a film release of the Christian religio us faith-based . As almost customary, Hollywood usually generates two (maybe three) films of this variety movies within their yearly theatrical release lineup, with the releases usually being around spring us and / or fall respectfully. I didn’t hear much when this movie was initially aounced (probably got buried underneath all of the popular movies news on the newsfeed). My first actual glimpse of the movie was when the film’s movie trailer premiered, which looked somewhat interesting if you ask me. Yes, it looked the movie was goa be the typical “faith-based” vibe, but it was going to be directed by the Erwin Brothers, who directed I COULD Only Imagine (a film that I did so like). Plus, the trailer for I Still Believe premiered for quite some us, so I continued seeing it most of us when I visited my local cinema. You can sort of say that it was a bit “engrained in my brain”. Thus, I was a lttle bit keen on seeing it. Fortunately, I was able to see it before the COVID-9 outbreak closed the movie theaters down (saw it during its opening night), but, because of work scheduling, I haven’t had the us to do my review for it…. as yet. And what did I think of it? Well, it was pretty “meh”. While its heart is certainly in the proper place and quite sincere, us is a little too preachy and unbalanced within its narrative execution and character developments. The religious message is plainly there, but takes way too many detours and not focusing on certain aspects that weigh the feature’s presentation.
✌ TELEVISION SHOW AND HISTORY ✌ A tv set show (often simply Television show) is any content prBookmark this siteoduced for broadcast via over-the-air, satellite, cable, or internet and typically viewed on a television set set, excluding breaking news, advertisements, or trailers that are usually placed between shows. Tv shows are most often scheduled well ahead of The War with Grandpa and appearance on electronic guides or other TV listings.

A television film (“made-for-TV movie” or “televisioBookmark this siten movie”) is a film that is initially broadcast on television set rather than released in theaters or direct-to-video.

Televised events such as the 944 Summer OlyBookmark this sitempics in Germany, the 944 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famoThe War with Grandpa introduction at the 9 New York World’s Fair in the The War with Grandpa spurreBookmark this sited a rise in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 944 World Movies inspired many Americans to buy their first tv set and in 94, the favorite radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a well balanced, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The firsBookmBookmark this siteark this sitet national live tv broadcast in the The War with Grandpa took place on September 4, 94 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in SAN FRASEAL Team CO BAY AREA was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets.
✌ FINAL THOUGHTS ✌ The power of faith, love, and affinity for take center stage in Jeremy Camp’s life story in the movie I Still Believe. Directors Andrew and Jon Erwin (the Erwin Brothers) examine the life span and The War with Grandpas of Jeremy Camp’s life story; pin-pointing his early life along with his relationship Melissa Heing because they battle hardships and their enduring love for one another through difficult. While the movie’s intent and thematic message of a person’s faith through troublen is indeed palpable plus the likeable mThe War with Grandpaical performances, the film certainly strules to look for a cinematic footing in its execution, including a sluish pace, fragmented pieces, predicable plot beats, too preachy / cheesy dialogue moments, over utilized religion overtones, and mismanagement of many of its secondary /supporting characters. If you ask me, this movie was somewhere between okay and “meh”. It had been definitely a Christian faith-based movie endeavor Bookmark this web site (from begin to finish) and definitely had its moments, nonetheless it failed to resonate with me; struling to locate a proper balance in its undertaking. Personally, regardless of the story, it could’ve been better. My recommendation for this movie is an “iffy choice” at best as some should (nothing wrong with that), while others will not and dismiss it altogether. Whatever your stance on religion faith-based flicks, stands as more of a cautionary tale of sorts; demonstrating how a poignant and heartfelt story of real-life drama could be problematic when translating it to a cinematic endeavor. For me personally, I believe in Jeremy Camp’s story / message, but not so much the feature.

Co-showrunner Krista Vernoff tells THR that she originally pitched the return of an original series regular for the landmark episode.
When Krista Vernoff returned to Grey’s Anatomy after a six-year absence, she brought the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama’s original spirit and tone with her. In its 14th season, Grey’s Anatomy has managed to not only reinvent itself — which it has done after every major character death or exit (and there are a lot of them) — but, in a way, also remind viewers new and old of what made the ABC medical soap so successful in the first place.
Thursday’s landmark 300th episode — penned by Vernoff, now the co-showrunner — was the perfect example. The hour was a nod to the show’s gone-but-never-forgotten original stars, including Izzie (Katherine Heigl), George (T.R. Knight) and Cristina (Sandra Oh), and saw its central character, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), take home the Harper Avery award — the show’s fictional prize that her late mother Ellis (Kate Burton, who had a cameo) won twice.
To hear Vernoff tell it, she originally wanted to bring back one of the show’s original series regulars — though she remains tight-lipped on just whom — and bring back the feel of the show’s early days and create the feeling that a clip show would produce without actually using clips.
Below, Vernoff talks with The Hollywood Reporter about season 14’s nostalgic feel, her approach to the landmark episode and how next week’s midseason finale will feel like a big event.
Was bringing the sense of nostalgia back to the show always among your priorities when you agreed to return? It feels like there has been at least one callback in every episode, culminating in the 300th’s big dose of nostalgia.
Yes, the 300th episode was designed as nostalgia. But in terms of the other episodes since I’ve been back, it wasn’t a part of my design. It’s simply a part of my experience. I was here for seven seasons then I was gone for six and a half seasons. So my reference points, even though I’ve watched the seasons that aired while I was gone, I didn’t live them. They weren’t in my blood. So when I approach a script and think about the history of the character, the first place I go is to the years that I wrote. That’s the nature of the beast.
What inspired the idea to do this homage to the past? You tweeted about seeing Eryn Rea in Seattle but did it start there? I saw the Heigl lookalike, Eryn Rea, when we were up in Seattle, and she was our stand-in [for Meredith]. Every time I walked past the camera, I gasped because I felt like I had traveled back in time. She looked so much like first-season Izzie to me. We just kept talking about it. And then we were back in the writers’ room talking about what we were going to do for the 300th episode. The inspiration for this episode was not like a lightning bold; it was more like a hail storm. We were talking about: Can we get one of the originals, that’s obviously where you start. Well, no you can’t, you try and you can’t and there are a million reasons why you can’t. So you move on. Then it becomes a conversation of how do we get the feeling of a visit from the originals without a visit from the originals. What I remember is that Jalysa Conway, who is one of our staff writers, said, “What if we did something with the Shondaland rollercoaster?” I said, “What if we had doppelgangers?” Jalysa pitched a roller coaster flying off the tracks and we call it the “Ghost Rider.” We weren’t able to clear “ghost rider” but cleared the Mirage and from that moment forward, it was a bullet. I knew exactly what I was writing and it became really clear when you’ve got three doppelgangers as patients that that’s going to trigger a storm of memories in your series regulars and that that would be a way to pay tribute to all 14 years of the show.
Which originals did you try to get? I am not going to tell you that! (Laughing)
Did you have to pitch Shonda Rhimes on the 300th story? I pitched her a take that included one of the originals and then it became clear we weren’t going to have the originals and I pitched her this and she loved it.
Katherine Heigl has said that she’d like to return to Grey’s. Was that ever considered? I love Katherine Heigl and I loved writing for her in the early years of the show and I can’t comment beyond that.
Were there any conversations about using archival footage? I said to Shonda, we have used a lot of archival footage on the show over the years. There were whole seasons that leaned heavily on archival footage; I remember weeping through episodes that had a lot of flashbacks to Ellis and characters that we loved as I caught up on the show as a fan. One of the things I said to Shonda was that I wanted to find a way with the 300th episode to do a clip show without doing a clip show. I want to see if we can have the same impact of using archival footage without actually using it. She gave me her blessing to do that.
This whole season has felt very nostalgic, obviously reaching a pinnacle with the 300th episode. Has that been intentional or organic? Has the writing process evolved since you’ve returned?   The way I came in was I had lunch with Shonda she said she wanted me to come back. When I made the decision to come back, I reached out to all series regulars and had long lunches with each of them. We talked about where they are with their characters and I asked them what stories they wanted to tell. I grew up as an actor; I was trained as an actor and my degree is in acting and I understand that actors are invested in their own characters in a very personal and specific way. At season 14, they have earned a right to be part of that conversation. I binge-watched the 100 or so episodes that I had missed and had lunch with all the series regulars. Then I came into the writers’ room and basically just talked for two days because so many stories had come up in my conversations with the actors. And in my watching of the show, there were so many threads that, as a fan, I wanted to see. I wanted to pay those storylines off and [wondered] why wasn’t that story told and asked why [writers] aborted certain pieces. I asked the returning writers to explain what stories hadn’t been told and why. Then I set out to tell the ones that I was excited to tell and used pieces from my conversations with all the actors and we moved really fast. We had 10 episodes off the board within six weeks. We were very clear in what we were doing. There was never a conversation about nostalgia or the early years. When I say that that’s in my bones, I mean that when I sit down to write or rewrite a script, if I’m referencing a character history, the stuff that often comes up is the stuff that I was writing in the past. That’s why people are seeing this season with a sense of nostalgia for the early years.
What are some of the other story threads from the past that you’re excited to tell? One that’s coming up is Jo’s (Camilla Luddington) domestic violence storyline. That needle had been threaded and it was handed to me on a platter. Ellen talked about how important it was that she has been such a powerful influence on so many young women going into medicine. She was interested in paying off Meredith’s evolution as sort of a medical superhero and that you’ve already seen this year and will continue to see [this season]. Giacomo Gianniotti and I sat down and he said he speaks Italian and he felt like there was a lot that he could bring that hadn’t yet been explored and Italian was one example of it. His character has already popped directly as a result of the things he told me over our lunch. Jessica Capshaw and I talked about [Arizona and Callie’s daughter] Sofia and the fact that just because Arizona isn’t the biological mother doesn’t mean she’s not an equal parent. That’s a storyline we’re playing that’s so important. These actors pitched medical stories and told me about doctors and nurses who approached them and pitched them things. They not only talked about their own characters but they also talked about ideas for the show in the years they’ve been working on it. So many of those are being used that it’s hard to isolate just one.
That must also change the vibe on the show’s set, too. I’m having so much fun and I think it’s not at all just me. There’s been this matriarchy put into place that includes Sarah White, our line producer, and Debbie Allen, our producing director, and me returning, and Ellen is becoming a producer. It’s really a collaborative, joyful experience. I’m so proud of it.
Next week is the midseason finale and this show has featured some doozies in the past. How have those influenced the cyber-attack episode? Exec producer Bill Harper pitched me that episode as midseason finale and my first reaction was, “Don’t we do a giant event of some sort?” And this is a giant event. The consequences are dire. It is an edge-of-your-seat action movie of a Grey’s Anatomy episode

Boxset - Grey’s Anatomy 1x01
Let’s get this trip down memory lane started :)
          **SPOILER ALERT!!!! SPOILERS AHEAD!!**
Straight away all I can say is how young does everyone look?!? :O :O
Tumblr media
Ahh, the beginning of the McDreamy fairytale that all started with the infamous bar pickup. Meredith’s shocked face when she saw Derek at the hospital was like most people’s look when they see their one night stand. Absolute horror!
Love how the episode starts with one of Webber's inspirational talks. Is it just me, or doesn’t Webber feel like that grandpa that basically has all the knowledge and answers cos he's experienced everything in life. Like EVERYTHING! But yet he won’t give you the answers just like that. You have to work them out for yourself.
George's love for Meredith is clearly evident from day one. 007 was infatuated with Meredith. George was picked to be Burke’s guy. I guess that was the only logical choice cos Karev would have failed miserably. But isn't it weird that Burke, a cardiologist, is performing an appendectomy?
I forgot how this first ever episode also included the first of many MerDer neuro surgeries and secretive stairwell hospital chats. Iconic Grey’s scenes.
Another iconic scene/monologue.....Bailey’s five rules. Long reign Resident Bailey.
And now to competitive Yang. Trying to get into a surgery on day 1. Classic Cristina from the get go. And the start of team Meredith and Cristina. Love how they can work/research and have a sex conversation at the same time. You can see even from this episode that they are gonna bounce off each other.
In other intern news, I guess you are kind of introduced to optimistic, model Izzie and non-stickler for the rules Karev. After this episode, you just have that awful feeling that Karev just won’t make it through the programme - and I don’t just mean the intern year...
And ending with an introduction to The Ellis Grey. You can see how much of an impact she's had on Meredith’s life. Great that this show highlighted the Alzheimer's disease that affects so many people. Not just those suffering from the disease but also their families.
So many seeds for future episodes and storylines were really laid down here in episode 1. I didn’t even realize!
