Because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one having issues with sleep, I'm going to share a resource my therapist showed me.

It's a podcast you are supposed to listen to when you're falling asleep. They read classic bed time storys and unique short stories on a large amount of genres! Some have built in ambiance, I like the ones with rain sounds.

It's called "Get sleepy podcast": here is their website!

It's available on many platforms. I listen to it on YouTube personally. It's been a good resource to calm myself down and fall asleep. I usually don't remember when I fall asleep, but let's just say I never get through the first few intro paragraphs lol. Though I don't have much trouble falling asleep, it's been staying asleep, but it's still nice to wake up listening to the hour plus of background music after the story has finished.

Taging a bunch of people ik bc everyone deserves some good sleep. I don't know if all of you have sleeping issues, but it's worth spreading the word imo. I recommend trying it once, even for just a nap. It's nice to look forward to stroy time !

I DID IT, ITS FINISHED course i still need to fix a window or two but its done.

I just want to say thank you for those who have followed me throughout this whole drawing it, this whole writing ideas out and allowing me to use their OC's for this art project! I understand that these photos are not the best, the more I stare at them the more faint it looks lol, its really better in person I suppose...

Samus w/ Sleep Deprived S/O

A/N: OK NO THIS ISN'T ENTIRELY A REPOST, SO BECAUSE MY LAST GROUP OF HCS HAD THE WORD "INS0MNIA/1NS0MNIAC TUMBLR FLAGGED IT AND MADE IT SO IT WOULDN'T SHOW UP UNDER THE SAMUS X READER TAG. anyways self indulgent Samus with a sleep deprived S/O.

A/n - self-indulgent considering I wrestle with severe insomnia regularly.

Samus has irregular sleeping habits, but does what she needs to in order to survive semi comfortably.

Your health and well being are a major aspect she'd like to protect

There are few Samus can trust outside of ADAM, and you. The Federation screwed her over too many times.

So yes she cares a whole lot.

At first she doesn't particularly notice it despite being as perceptive as she is, she is aloof to human behaviors, but she immediately picks up on a lack of energy in the mornings and increasingly dark and heavy bags.

She asks ADAM, who relays that by monitoring your vitals, reveals your insomnia to Samus.

Samus immediately grows concerned.

The next night, as you were ready for another night of struggling, Samus pulls you close flush against her chest, pulling the blanket up over the two of you.

I know you haven't been sleeping

You bury your head into the crook of her neck in shame.

Samus hums in acknowledgment and proceeds to have one hand rubbing against your back and one carding gently through your hair.

She smiles to herself in a small victory when she feels you relax against her

Better?

You nod as best as you can into her shoulder as her hand travels from your hair to the nape of your neck and rubs gently into the tense tissue there.

A light groan of satisfaction pulls itself out of your mouth. You start to feel drowsy and so you turn in her arms, grabbing her wrists and pulling her arms around you.

Samus tightens them around your waist and curls around your body, providing good warmth on a ship that usually ran at the temperature of a fridge.

Her fingers trace idle patterns along your midriff and you can feel her leave slow light kisses against your neck and then cheek.

Sleep, I will watch over you.

Hey lovelies ♡ here's a quick presentation:

I'm 23, almost 24, from Algeria, and I'm Muslim.

I've been struggling with An00rexia ever since I was 12 years old, there are some periods where I recover but I always end up relapsing, I was also diagnosed with Anx_iety, de*pression, ins0mnia, and su__icidal tendencies.

I used to s3lf h_arm as well, my last cvt was in 2019 when I was 19, I'm fully recovered from it but it still crosses my mind (hard not to when my arms are filled with old sc_ars that will never disappear).

I'm 167cm (5'4) , and currently 58kg (127lbs).

My highest weight was 60kg (132lbs)

And my lowest was 35kg (77lbs)

I'm also engaged and my wedding is in October 2024.

I'm here if anybody wants to chat!! 🥹🫶🏻❤️.

Currently Reading: In fiction, I’m finishing The Blood Gift by Nia Davenport, which is part two in The Blood Gift duology - an absolutely fantastic science fantasy story, with a deligtfully arrogant asshole for a protagonist. After that I’m re-reaeding A Midsummer Nights Dream and then after that it’ll depend on my energy levels whether it’s The Rising Storm or Nona the Ninth.

Non-Fiction, is The Intimacies of Four Continents and then War Without Mercy.

Currently Watching: Working my way through the new She-Ra! And at some point I need to get back to finishing Full Metal Alchemist.

Current Obsession: Working on the fic (and thank God I’m going on a break becase I need space to sort out the plot of that monster...); but the new edition of Warhammer has just released so I’m also back into ‘I will definitely paint all of my unpainted models, so it’s okay for me to get a Hammerhead and maybe a Chaos Land Raider’ XD
