I was writing in my journal about you. I was describing every date, day, moment, kiss, hug, laugh that we shared together because I thought that maybe... just maybe... I would look back at it in years and love to reminisce.

But you ended things two days ago.

And now I am here.

I know I made you feel something. You didn't break that no first kiss on the first date rule for nothing. The way we were already acting on our first date like we had known each other for ages, yet we had only known each other for a week. The way you held me in your arms in front of my door and pulled me in a for a kiss.

And the way you kissed me.

Fuck. If I knew it was going to end like this... I still would have let it happen anyway.

What’s up my friends? This is a pretty aggressive track! The heavy tom work really stands out here, and it’s prominent throughout the entire track, giving things an almost tribal feel. I love the lines in the guitar–they’re elongated, very melodic, and not too busy, which is something I’m quite attracted too. The feeling of going from a straight ahead four rhythm to one that’s more subdivided (when I’m counting eighth notes, I hear chunks of three, three, and two) and gives the piece lift. Some cool heavy minor riffs going on as well, combined with the synth padding and the deep bass, it makes for an awesome track. It doesn’t drive as hard concerning tempo, but it makes up for it with the heavy beat. The chord progression is intriguing too! Nice choice!
