Do your demon Izu's horns change shape? I noticed that one image had all might horns and the other had ones curled around his elf ears. Also may I suggest the au being called "Fukigen'na akuma"(it literally translates to grumpy demon)

Ball pythons usually follow the same personality, they're shy and like dark places, ball up when they're scared/hurt/tired(pretty much just when they want to), are known to be picky eaters(although some will eat anything), explorative(usually when looking for a place to hide), and ultimately are sweethearts. Unless they're angry/hungry/moody, in which they bite. But they also tend to form strong bonds with their humanoid caretakers. (The more you know I guess-)

the only thing i think i would disagree on, is that Crow eats pretty normally. not as much as Az of course, but definitely not as little as AJ. but the idea of him as a little ball of snake is just -clenches fists- so good.

i wasn’t… necessarily implying he’s afraid of staplers, but i do think it might be funny if the clicking noise spooks him when he’s a snake. just like “click” Crow is ball now. (the cuccumber cat thing is hilarious btw)

I saw your ask about Crow being a small ball of a snake shaped man, and immediately thought, what if Crow was a ball python?

i don’t think Crow is that specific type of snake, but i see those tendencies ;D

To be honest, I think the way you portray the characters is enlightening. For me, being American, I find that PoC are extremely under and misrepresented in movies, shows, books, and other forms of media. The fact that your view of Crow as a person of color is extremely powerful and breaks the cultural norms of multiple cultures.

thankyou, i’m glad you appreciate Crow :) i have to wonder if this whole thing wouldn’t be such a mess if i just.. drew the whole cast. then it’d be pretty darn obvious i wasn’t stereotyping, even if no one knew the characters. White and PoC and Asian characters abound.

I find your D+D AU comic super cool, and wanted to ask, do you have any art tips on how to draw comics?(Specifically backgrounds) Also, for some reason I see Crow or AJ being somewhat reptilian-like and seeking out heat sources when they get chilly. If this were to be applied, would Crow actively seek out cuddles from Az when cold?

thankyou very much! :) normally i’m too impatient to do real background, but my advice would be to look up references! the more you practice drawing backgrounds of different kinds, the easier it’ll be to design your own. and also don’t feel like every single panel has to have a background in comics. for instance, in my close up shots, the backgrounds are usually pretty fuzzy because i want the focus to be on the character.

Crow absolutely comes to steal Az’s heat when he’s cold. AJ is a little stubborn sometimes, but he ends up snuggled to Zira whenever possible.
