Well, it finally happened.

Midoriya Inko has been arrested for multiple charges and Izuku felt some weight leave his back until the day of the hearing. According to what Ophelia said, they are going through a lot of evidence so the encounter will not happen until later in the week.

Mitsuki was mad as all hell with the charges and when she found out about the exploitation she wanted to kill her former friend. He doesn’t blame her one bit, though her outburst scared both him and Katsuki.

“Exploi-? That sick bitch! I’m going to fucking kill her!!!”

Katsuki chuckled nervously as he had seen this side of her before, as he was careful to not cross that line. He learned that a few years ago.

“K-kacchan, she hasn’t killed anyone before, right?” Izuku asked timidly and gulped when the blonde shrugged.

“Who knows, Nerd. Though I think she can, I don’t care to find out.”

Izuku chuckled. “R-right.”

Their room door opened and Recovery Girl, Mitsuki, and Ophelia came through. Immediately the duo can tell that she was still boiling but the greenette was grateful that she did not round on him for not telling her. She wanted to though, but even she knows some things like that are delicate to talk about.

“Alright, Izuku, everything is all set up and got your treatments for you to leave. Both you and Katsuki are free to leave the hospital, but you will be coming with me until the hearing for your protection.” Ophelia said, giving a copy of the paperwork to Mitsuki. “I forgot to mention I have a daughter living with me too, she is a little eccentric but she knows when to keep some space if needed. Are you comfortable with that?”

“A-A girl?” Izuku asked and when Ophelia nodded his stomach did a backflip. He never really talked to a girl and if he was going to be there a few days it made him nervous. However, since he can’t be with the Bakugou due to the protection laws there is nothing much he can do, especially if Ophelia was the only person he could trust. “Is she nice?”

Ophelia nodded. “Yes, she is nice. Her name is Eevee, and yes if you heard of Pokemon, that Eevee. You will see why when we get to my place.” 

Katsuki looked at the greenette and he could see that he was nervous and hesitating. He clicked his tongue. “It is only for a while, Nerd. Besides, having company with people around the same age is better than just hanging around with an adult.”

“Katsuki!” Mitsuki said and slapped him on the back of the head, causing him to lurch forward and shake in anger. 

“What!? All I am saying is to give it a try! It will only be a week or two right?” 

Izuku blew a raspberry to try to prevent himself from laughing but failed miserably. The duo looked at him with surprise and happiness that he did not lose all of his personality. 

“I-hahah, I’m sorry.” He said, regaining his composure. “K-Kacchan and Aunt Mitsuki are crazy!”

“HEY!” The two of them yelled and this caused Izuku to laugh even louder, eventually causing them to admit defeat and laugh alongside him.

So with resolve, they all went their separate ways and Detective Tsukauchi picked up Ophelia, Recovery Girl, and Izuku and drove them to her house on the edge of Tattooin. Izuku again had butterflies and unconsciously grabbed the Serpentine’s tail, again going into deep thoughts of negativity.

Will I really be safe there? What if this is just a dream? Is this mom’s way of punishing me for disobeying her? What will happen once I get there? Torture? Death? Oh my god, I do-

Izuku suddenly felt fingers graze his cheek and he immediately snapped out of his thoughts. He looked at the serpentine, who was looking back at him with some worry. 

“You doing alright, Izuku?”

Izuku gulped and took a few deep breaths. “I-I’m fine, it’s just…everything is so surreal. Is this really happening, or is this a dream? Everything is now all topsy-turvy so I am having a hard time knowing what is good or bad.”

Ophelia nodded in understanding. “I know that what you have been through and what is happening now is a huge change. Having been living in some type of darkness with no light in sight, it is natural to feel afraid or wary of something you may not have experienced. Right now it is like Yin and Yang on a scale, the Yin is heavier than the Yang but over time we hope to balance it out or make Yang heavier.”

Izuku looked out the window, thinking about what Ophelia was saying. “I had a light at the end of that darkness, then it shattered.”

The trio looked at him in curiosity. He had a light of hope before but it was extinguished?

Izuku contemplated if he should continue, as he still thought of the other's consequences. “That was not the first time I encountered the Sludge Villain that day, and I was saved by All Might. I looked up to him, thinking that he was a beacon of hope and brought fear to those dwelling in darkness. He was not what I thought he was.”

Tsukauchi and Recovery Girl tensed at the information. “What happened, Izuku?” Tsukauchi said, keeping the strain from his voice. 

“I-I am not sure if I can continue, he is an Idol to Japan and I don’t want to break his image. He must have been in a bad mood when I caused him to lose the Villain he had captured.” Izuku said after a few minutes, now locked in his thoughts once more. They decided not to press.

“You don’t have to tell us if you don’t want to, Izuku-kun.” Recovery Girl said finally, but she will ask All Might personally. If he caused the boy some pain, there would be hell to pay.

“Hai…”

Ophelia then wiggled her tail, tickling the boy's chin and causing him to laugh. “Things are changing, Bunny. You will no longer be chained to that darkness, I will make sure of that.”

Izuku smiled a pure, grateful smile, and the trio melted in his cuteness.

These outings are similar in the fact that they all often end in you both fighting some villian 😭

There is this one instance where before the dorms were introduced- you and Izuku had stayed to train or clean- whatever it was at school

He got a call from inko and upon finding out you (someone he does nothing but yap about to her) were around, well, she figured she’d invite you for dinner

Queue you finally meeting Inko and if you’re nervous and want to get a gift of some kind Izuku is kind of laughing but also happy that you want to “impress” her

Even though she loves you already

When you meet inko, she’s is buzzing with as much nervous energy as Izuku is

Funny how similar they are

The dinner goes smoothly and if anything she just approves of you more

Now eventually dorms get introduced and so does sneaking around

Don’t tell me no one in class 1-a wouldn’t sneak around- they’re high schoolers and you can’t tell me they wouldn’t just want to have stereotypical sleepovers

Among those who would sneak around is you

Izuku is less likely to because he’s a bit shy and if he’s ever caught- God kill him now 😭

So ofc you end up sneaking to his room

Which sorta backfires because he loves all might and all might is just staring at you in every direction you look.

The merch is just too excessive

Even then, a sleepover is too much for him and in Izuku fashion- he gets flustered

It takes awhile for him to chill 😭

Holding hands? In the hall way?

If you manage to hold hands for 5 seconds before Iida or Bakugo mention it then you’ve got a personal best!

Bakugou Katsuki- or better known as Dynamight was a name well known by the public as the ruthless villain ruling the underworld with an iron fist whilst fitting into the facade of a very accomplished CEO.

He was notorious for his dirty ways & illegal businesses, never bothering to hide his darker persona from the world, making sure everyone knew to fear him. Yet, the authorities never had enough proof to arrest him, never able to trace his crimes back to him, his organization too clean & flawlessly managed to reveal any dirty work below the surface.

Thats where you come in. An undercover pro hero sent as an innocent civillian to get close to him & investigate from the inside.

Who would've guessed on the inside you'd find a grumpy teddy bear of a man instead of the demon of Musutafu. You learned he wore facade over facade. Despite knowing his CEO mask wasn't really him, you discovered he wasn't really the heartless criminal either.

Bakugou acknowledges that his hands weren't clean in his business deals, he knows he isn't all good, but over the time you spent together, you learn that he isn't all bad either.

Because how could the man who visits the orphanage he grew up in be all bad?

How could the man- insisting he only visited to see his Ma Inko that raised him out of obligation and not because he got attached to the little hellspawns at the orphanage, despite always relenting to play with them every single time without fail, because they were annoying, as if he couldn't just walk away if he really wanted to- be as evil as they say?

How could the man that consoles little kids who were nervous to have a new family so gently and softly, that they will be loved, deserved a place to call home, and promise he will make sure they were happy and safe, be totally heartless?

Falling in love was not the plan.

Nor was having the big bad crime boss fall in love with you.

It was most definitely not in your plans to adore the man snoring peacefully next to you while you silently lose your mind, as much as you did.

Looking over at him, his head pressed against your hip, arm draped over your thighs, his chest rise & fall in slow breaths, you couldn't help the smile that tugged on your lips.

Who knew the big scary, angry man whose explosive demeanor never fails to shaken people's hearts everywhere could be so..

Adorable?

He looked so harmless burrying himself further into your side, pulling you closer as he mumbled your name in his slumber, the action making you melt.

You twisted your body just a bit to bury your hands into his deceptively soft hair, letting fluffy porcupine spikes tickle your cheeks as you let yourself be pulled closer by the sleeping mobster.

And who would have ever thought the person who got him to open his heart was the same person sent to bring him down.

How ironic.

You clenched your jaw at the thought, freeing your fingers from those gold strands to fist your palms so tight your knuckles turned white, as you tried to control yourself while still being mindful of the sleeping Bakugou snuggling for your warmth.

You wanted to protect him. To keep him safe. For him to be free and happy. No matter the cost, even if it meant dying by his hands.

You've thought about it. Of course you have. You knew the consequences of revealing yourself to him, your initial motives and the fact that you've been betraying him, all the while the cold, hard man fell in love and trusted you enough to offer his heart.

He would kill you.

You knew that. You hurt him, even if he didn't know it yet. Broke his heart, & betrayed the trust he found so hard to give to just anyone.

There was no doubt he would kill you, and take your life as compensation.

Yet, you've made up your mind. You'd have nowhere to go. Even if by some miracle you get out of this alive, the HPSC would hunt you down. Your life was over with either way.

How strange.

To think dying was the least of your concerns.

As you run your fingers gently through his hair again, unable to placate your twitching fingers, Bakugou slowly stirred awake, soft red eyes fluttering open to blink up at you, before he broke into a sleepy smile filled with so much pure love and adoration you had to choke back a sob.

No. Dying was a show of mercy. Nothing would hurt more than having those warm eyes currently staring at you like you were the best thing in the world, turn cold. No torture would hurt more than having to live, knowing the man that used to attack you with the sweetest kisses whenever he came home, the man that clung to you like a baby koala while you cooked, the man that loved you despite knowing you weren't perfect, would come to hate you.

That was what would break you.

You were certain. Death would be welcomed in comparison to the alternative. Death would be worth having those red eyes only ever look at you the way he was now.

Bakugo should not have been a hero.

He should have been arrested for repeatedly illegally using his quirk, often on Midoriya. Along with his general violent behavior.

The entirety of Aldera Middle School, staff at least, knew exactly what was happening, and the only reason he never got reported was because they believed that the raw power of his quirk alone justified the fact that he was constantly breaking laws.

And about Inko "not knowing" Izuku was being bullied. Even if Bakugo was smart enough not to leave any permanent marks on Izuku(doubtful), how many burnt uniforms do you think Izuku needed replaced? We're plainly shown early on when Bakugo threatened Midoriya not to apply to UA that he had no qualms using his quirk. Izuku was a teenager, he didn't have that money himself. So Inko would've known that her son's uniforms were getting burnt because no school would let a student be seen in a damaged uniform without making a fuss. Double that for Izuku because you know that they'd be all over him for any infraction.

I didn't mention it before but during the MLA Arc I actually came up with another fanfiction idea. Namely that after AfO's arrest, a series of coincidences and odd circumstances results in Class 1-A and the League of Villains repeatedly having to team up against other threats, such as the Shie Hassaikai, Nine's crew, the Meta Liberation Army, Humarise and other original threats. During this time, the two groups get to know each other and they form bonds together. What the League thinks is happening is that they are corrupting the kids and turning them to villainy. What's actually happening is the League is slowly going through a redemption arc and nobody involved realizes until it's too late.

Some highlights include:

Class 1-A/League of Villains weekly gaming tournaments

Twice and Aoyama immediately vibing

Toga getting therapy, and dating Izuku and Ochako (both out of love for them and spite for her bi-phobic parents)

Dabi and Shoto's horrendously awkward relationship

Kurogiri and Aizawa's horrendously awkward relationship

Toga and Mineta's surprisingly decent relationship

Mineta and Bakugo changing for the better because of their weird friendships

Magne not getting a bullshit death, and instead getting to meme on Overhaul and be the cool big sis to all the baby gays around her

Spinner being friends with all the heteromorph kids (Koda, Shoji, Tokoyami, etc)

Iida hating every minute of their teamups until he and Shigaraki start dunking on Stain together.

All Might, Aizawa, Kurogiri and Mr. Compress co-parenting 27 children

Everyone lowkey wanting Inko to be their mom

Everyone giving Endeavor the exact amount of respect he deserves (0)

Okay so au is Izuku is a mouse! The lab that experimented on Nedzu was trying to see if a human can give birth to an animal without complications and Inko was a volunteer due to her and her husband not able to have children biologically and Izuku was born. Nedzu definitely plays favourite due to Izuku being a mammal as well.

Oo! Very neat concept! Taking this but running a little to the left with it -

Inko, wanting to have a child but unable to, undergoes IVF and misses the little fine print saying that they reserve the right to use her genetic information in whatever experiment they want. She doesn't end up having a child, sadly, but does get a 500'000 yen deposit in her bank account thanking her for the genetic donation and remarking on the success they had.

Shes furious, violated and pretty sure thats a whole crime, so she contacts the only person actually concerned about illegal experimentation in japan - Nezu. It's difficult, but shes an insurance lawyer specializing in heroes so she has plenty of contacts who owe her.

Nezu gets an email from a furious woman who tells him her genetic information was taken with an illegal clause in a medical document. He's interested! Then he realizes he recognizes some of the names working for the lab that took it, and he's furious.

They were trying to recreate whatever fluke made Nezu in the first place, but decided a human chimera would make it easier for them to cultivate an artificial quirk. Only one lab mouse was successful, and they name him Deku, because he was a cute tawny brown and green, like a wooden doll.

2 and a bit years later Nezu gets the lab shut down and everyone arrested and is horrified to discover that they'd been successful. A child (because, animal or human, thats what he was) had been trapped there, undergoing experiments that make his teeth itch to bite the hands off those lab workers. Inko is there with him, having undergone a lot of the legal grunt work to make this happen in her spare time.

They end up with basically joint custody of a little boy they rename Izuku, who exists in the same legal grey area as Nezu. Fluff and Angst follows.

I found my old BNHA Selkie AU and here is the basis:

Magic and Quirks coexist. People figured out that magic caused Quirks cause people marrying into various families and all.

Izuku is Quirkless meaning his magical side is far enough away its faded out says the doctor. He lives with his mother who tells him to not go bear the beach due to her trauma as a child nearly drowning and his father left when he was five. Izuku though doesn't listen and often goes to the beach. Something about the water draws him in.

On day, during a beach clean up from the nature spirits/ insert other people, Izuku finds a box he suddenly has the urge to open. He feels himself frenzied, he’s ripping it open and there is a skin. He puts it on and he’s a seal.

Suddenly there are a million things clicking and his stomach is dropping.

Inko gets arrested for stealing the skin of a Selkie and then keeping her son’s skin from him. Izuku is taken into custody and given to EraserMic as they went through something similar (Hizashi is a fae of some sorts? I think I had Aizawa as a vampire but a note just says basic so I think I changed it).

I think its pretty fun

I have like one thing written but here is a rewrite of it;

Inko wasn't shocked when the police showed up at her job. She always knew her secret would be exposed one day. She had wanted Hisashi so bad, but he never looked at her. She hoped that he would grow to love her. He’d loved Izuku, laughed and was such a good father…

But he found his skin and left. She was left behind. She hoped to keep Izuku still, but... The sea draws its people. She knew that from seeing Izuku’s eyes always drawn to it.

“I’ll come quietly.” she says to the police who look relieved.

She’s only sorry she got barely five years with her husband, and thirteen with her son.

Trauma

Ophelia wanted to scream bloody murder. 

All of the records of Izuku’s past visits as well as the full exam today were staggering. Broken bones that did not heal properly, calcium scars, malnutrition, bruises, and records of STD testing at the age of 13! There are even side notes that they also suspected of child abuse and they still did nothing!!!

“I will burn this hospital to the ground.” Ophelia thought with an angry hiss before looking at the greenette still holding her tail. She had to be in the exam room a few moments later when he had a panic attack during the physical and she had to use her Silk Touch to calm the poor boy down. 

The sensation and exposure caused a flashback and his Quirk flared up and burned red in defense. It took a few moments for her Touch to reach Izuku and once he realized he apologized profusely, causing him to cry in guilt.

The duo gave him a break and asked if he wanted to continue, and he bravely nodded but had requested for me to stick around. He was still willing to trust us, and that made the serpentine even more protective.

We also broke it to him that he does have a Quirk once he saw the flames, and boy did that take a few minutes more for him to calm down again. He had a mix of emotions of happiness, confusion, fear, and excitement. The only thing we didn’t tell him is how his Quirk activated, as when we asked him about the incident with the villain, he did not remember anything after getting blasted by Katsuki’s shockwave.

Katsuki became even quieter when he heard that he may have given Izuku a concussion and some memory loss. It could be some dissociation the greenette had given himself for protection. However, it may have been a good thing to not remember his potential ‘death’. The blonde already has nightmares from that, God only knows how Izuku would respond to that.

Izuku was now back in the room with Katsuki and Recovery Girl was giving the greenette some vitamins and other liquids of antibiotics and pain meds.

“There you are, Izuku.” Recovery Girl said after administering the final dose of prevention. “These are just precautions, you don’t have to get more for another 2-3 weeks.”

“Thank you, Recovery Girl.” He said lightly, then looked at his green ‘wing stubs’. Ophelia could see the wheels turning in this boy and she giggled and shook her tail tip to distract him.

“We will take a look at your Quirk after we get you out of the hospital. It should be tomorrow, but for now, just rest. 

Izuku pouted and heard Katsuki chuckle next to him. “She has a point, Nerd. I know you are going to analyze your Quirk, anyways. But think about it, Izuku, we are in a hospital and there are oxygen vents in the wall. Flames and O2 don’t mix.”

The greenette went owl-eyed and realized that it would have been a bad idea. “R-right”, and written in his notebook about the dangers of fires. “Flames require oxygen and a fuel source like timber or clothing for a continuous burn. Heat is also essential to start the fire, and a spark for ignition.”

The others laughed at his red face for a few seconds once he realized that he was muttering out loud before laughing along once he got off his initial shock.

A ping sounded on Ophelia’s and Recovery Girl’s phones and immediately the mood changed, putting the two boys on guard.

Katsuki decides to ask, a sweat beading on his face. “Is it time?” 

The serpentine nodded and looked at Izuku. “Sorry, Bunny, but I will need my tail. The warrant has been issued and I will need to leave. Recovery Girl will be here as well as Mrs. Katsuki. I will come back once everything is complete.”

Izuku whimpered, reluctantly let go of Ophelia’s tail, and went to Katsuki’s bed, drawing close to his friend’s chest. Katsuki shook at the contact as he was not a touchy-touchy person, but he bit his tongue for the greenette and wrapped his arms around the shorter teen. Izuku was shuddering and they could tell that he was crying from the stress and fear.

“Don’t worry, Izuku. The bitch will die.”

Inko Midoriya was beyond furious. 

Her son did not arrive to meet two clients and apparently found a way to turn off his phone so she would not locate him. She had someone put a permanent profile on his phone so removing it would not be possible without her access key. 

One of the clients yelled at her for losing the opportunity and she had no choice but to return his deposit. 

“What is that brat doing!? Disobeying my orders, missing appointments, and now did not return home last night? He is nothing but an absolute failure!” Drinking sake to drown her frustration away, she continued to rant into the air. “Ah, what should I care!? He’s worthless! He will die the moment I kick him out!”

Just then she heard a knock on her door and she growled when she heard the sickening voice of her idiotic son.

“Kaa-san!”

Inko growled and grabbed the Cat o’ Nine Tails. “Dammit, Izuku! How dare you come here after abandoning your job!” She continued to stomp towards the door, snapping the whip. “I am going to beat your ass so raw that the moment you get fucked it will-”

Inko opened the door holding the whip high and froze once she saw Detective Tsukauchi holding a badge and papers, as well as Ophelia behind him, holding her TCPS badge and a recorder with her thumb on the record button.

“Midoriya Inko, you are under arrest for Child Endangerment, Child Abandonment, Domestic Assault of a Minor, and Exploitation of a Minor.”

Inko’s stomach boiled as she saw the warrant in the detective’s hand. Then she laughed. Protecting scum? They are joking.

“Good luck keeping me behind bars, hard to believe the words of a Quirkless Choad.”

Ophelia hissed and Tsukauchi held out his hand. “That may be true, Mrs. Midoriya, but the recording in my partner’s hand will be your downfall, along with evidence.” He then proceeded to handcuff the woman and put her under the supervision of Officer Tamakawa, whose fur hackled and hissed in displeasure.

“Detective, this must be the boy’s room.” Kaniyashiki said when she used her Quirk to open a door that was currently locked. 

Tsukauchi walked right into the room and immediately he could smell the cleaning liquids as well the lingering smell of iron typical of blood. He grimaced, looked into the trash bin, and discovered tissues with blood and something yellowish.  “Kaniyashiki, gather everything. The trash, blankets, and clothes, leave no fingerprint undiscovered.”

“Yes sir,” Kaniyashiki said with a salute and started using her Quirk to gather the evidence. “Snip-snip, the evidence is overwhelming.”

Inko was livid. “What is the point of protecting a Choad, they are worse than scum! You will never win the case, even with evidence.”

Ophelia hissed again. “Quirk or no Quirk, underage exploitation and abuse is illegal and can lead up to 25 years of prison time per charge.” She then slithered and whispered into the bitch’s ear. “Even if you do win, you will never touch or harm your son again, not without a risk of your former friend’s iron skillet.”

Inko’s eyes went wide and gulped in fear as the serpentine revealed who was protecting Izuku. Mitsuki would gladly take a murder charge to protect whoever she loves. She has seen her do it to a rabid dog trying to bite Izuku once, what a waste.

“Great, the crazy bitch was the one who ratted me out.”

AU where Inko is the personal Mary Poppins for Todoroki family

1. This is a Dad for One AU where All for One got in a fight with All Might earlier in canon AND his organization was even more devastated. While he was unconscious, the safeguards he set up to send money to his family failed. Inko had to get a job.

2. Because of AFO's early arrest, he never kidnapped Touya after he burned himself. Touya manifested a phoenix ability and regenerated after burning to ashes, surviving and returning to his family. However nothing got better as Enji was even more desperate to stop his oldest son from training and Touya even more convinced he could become a hero and also pull off the phoenix power again if his father would just give him a chance.

3. After Rei burned Shouto and got sent to the hospital, Enji sought out a nanny. However, the Todoroki children drove off everyone he hired. Touya's just a total brat. Fuyumi has a notion in her head that her mother will come back if she can get rid of all the nannies, and on some level resents them for stealing her perceived job. Natsuo got discriminated against by several caretakers for being quirkless, so he joined in. Shouto is the only good kid.

4. Inko got hired because her husband is listed as having a fire quirk and her son is quirkless, so Enji hoped she'd be able to handle his children's unique needs. He also thinks he can use her economic vulnerability to keep her quiet about anything that happens in his house, but he underestimates her. This Inko is a former villain fully aware of his husband's business. Despite her outwardly sweet demeanor, she used to be an assassin with a kill count in the triple digits. She easily sidesteps every prank the children try to pull on her and destroys every trap they send against her with a smile. Touya is convinced she might be a supernatural creature.

5. Shouto is happy because he just wanted a mom who wouldn’t pour boiling water on his face. This boy’s standards are so low that it’s pathetic his family couldn’t meet them.

6. Izuku moves into the house along with Inko and quickly befriends Shouto. Natsuo bonds with Izuku over them both being quirkless. Izuku hates how hard Endeavor trains Shouto and goes to his mom for help.

7. Inko absolutely verbally eviscerates Endeavor for his lousy training plan that is likely to cripple Shouto or burn him out, then presents a much better training plan. She also scolds Endeavor for giving up on his other two children. She presents a list of creative ways to use Fuyumi's ice quirk to kill, including blood-bending and freezing people's blood in their veins. According to her, why can't Natsuo become a hero even if he's quirkless? Finally, she has a plan for Touya to slowly train his body to adapt to his quirk. By this point Touya has been converted to an Inko fan.

8. But Inko isn't done yet. She also chews Endeavor out for giving up too easily on defeating All Might, then presents him with a detailed list of All Might's weaknesses that she obtained from her husband. (Izuku is appalled at this All Might slander, but Inko is not the biggest fan of the hero who maimed her beloved husband.) Endeavor is convinced and decides to re-devote himself to becoming number one. He allows Inko to train his children instead while he focuses on his own career.

9. Inko takes over training all the Todoroki children into unstoppable badasses. They might or might not become heroes, but no one will ever mess with them. She includes Izuku, training him to become a future quirkless hero. In this AU, Inko is more willing to teach Izuku to fight because they no longer have All for One's protection so she believes he needs to defend himself. Plus her husband failed to look out for them so he doesn't get a say. With Endeavor's backing, Izuku has a real chance at becoming a quirkless hero.

10. Izuku's totally going to get One for All, though. Natsuo can become the first quirkless hero.

AU where Izuku got evolved version of Inko's Attraction

Things he attracting?

✨The rats✨

1 - The real reason why AFO hasn't stepped in his home for the past ten years. Izuku got his quirk when he was exactly five-year-old and AFO didn't even manage to steal that quirk to destroy it forever because Izuku has his uncle's "Don't touch my freaking stuff" ability.

2 - Fun fact: Izuku attracts the rats. He cannot control them. At all. Other fun fact: those are quite the peculiar rats. They can eat anything, they are always hungry, surprisingly smart, can talk, will sing very ominous things, and so on. Maybe that's a quirked specie or something?

3 - Izuku has exactly zero qualms about unleashing eldritch rats in complicated situations in order to make those far worse. Kacchan told him that his quirk sucked when they were five? RATS. People in Aldera called him a villain? RATS. That tall man pretending to be All Might's number 1 fan cut in line during a merch grab? ALL THE RATS.

4 - Izuku doesn't need to go through any kind of American Dream à la All Might plan because he beccame ridiculously strong and fast after a decade of running away from the swarm of hungry rats that he keeps summoning.

5 - Izuku is the one kidnapped by the LOV and asked to become a villain. To Tomura's horror, Izuku summoned so many rats at once that the bar exploded. (Alas, AFO wasn't arrested because he saw all those rats going to Kamino and decided to go buy some milk.)

So! Eri!

I've seen others talk about her and how she basically destroys some plot points in the story, so I feel like talking her and what I think.

I like her, I think she's cute. And as a concept, I think she could work wonderfully. A kid with a powerful quirk who's been abused and was practically kept as a prisoner all her life until Izuku saves her.

But the execution... left more to be desired. Let's look into her backstory.

When her quirk first came in, she accidentally rewinds her dad out of existence, causing her mom to abandon her to her grandfather. She was then placed under the care of Overhaul who wants to experiment with her quirk to resurface the Yakuza, but her grandfather refused to Eri being used as a guinea pig so Overhaul took matter in his own hands by crippling him so he wouldn't get in the way.

From there she was exposed to years of abuse and grueling experiments where she was dissected and even killed multiple times before Overhaul revived her with his quirk. In comes her meeting Izuku and kicking off the chain of events that'll lead her freedom and being with people who actually cares about her.

To start off, I kind of have a problem with how her backstory is executed. Because think about it, what does it remind you?

A character whose life has been nothing but hell?

An abusive parental figure who is clearly awful and deserves no sympathy? (Not that I'm saying or implying Overhaul does)

Meeting the one person who'll make their life better again and everything is now sunshine and rainbows?

Yeah this reads like bad fanfiction you find on Wattpad or Fanfiction.

Eri is technically Y/N or any mary sue protagonist. Except here she's a plot device to move the story along.

Oh, let's talk about that now.

Eri has become nothing more than a plot device as her arc went on. All she is at her quirk for the characters to use when the time is right. She's not allowed to be her own character and is just there when a character needs her quirk.

Thankfully it only happened once with Mirio to get his quirk back, but this led to me and others fearing that he'll use her again to heal any of the major cast that were injured during the war.

Let's move on to the aftermath of her rescue, and where she ends up. Does she end up in the foster care system? Does somebody they know take her in?

The answer: Aizawa takes her in.

Yes, Mr. Expels everyone and plays favorites, is the one chosen for the job of watching over a traumatized little girl with a powerful quirk. Because he can just erase her quirk if it gets out of control.

That's literally the reason she's left in his care.

Good job there guys! Put the child in the care of a guy who hasn't gotten over the death of his best friend and would most likely neglect her! I'm sure that won't backfire in ANY way!

So with all that I've said, what would I change to make her role in the story more plausible? Well simple

-Change her quirk to that of a healing quirk that can't restore quirks or restore lost limbs.

-Change her backstory that she just got dumped with an abusive relative that Izuku just took off with her in his arms since, you know, he was in abusive dynamic himself with Bakugou. Afterwards they discover she was being abused and get the relative arrested.

-From there the arc can just be about helping Eri realize she's not in danger anymore and help her get on the path to heal from what she's been through.

-Putting her with someone not Aizawa, I would suggest Inko as she's the mother figure she needs.
