Today I was late to a doctor's appointment and cancelled it rather than reschedule, because it was a dumb appointment and I didn't wanna. Adulting! Badly! But hey I was in a town I hadn't hit in a while, soooo after that, I
Hit the thrift store, where I got a 2 foot x 2 foot picture frame that perfectly fits a print I've been wanting to hang for months. For $10, as opposed to easily over $100. Also the wooden tub to an oldschool ice cream maker, sans all the inside parts. I'll pull off some extra hardware and use it as a planter. I analyze every container-shaped object at the thrift store for planter potential.
Hit the feed store for the higher quality, locally grown chicken feed they carry that my local feed store doesn't have.
Bought a bunch of plants, including two big, beautiful inkberry hollies (native here) for only $30 each!
Watched Dungeon Meshi with the boy. Loved the split-second scenes of Laios instinctively protecting everyone else, repeatedly.
Potted up or planted out 16 plants, pulled a bunch of weeds, and watered everything in.

MEDEA = MEDIA
Tumblr media
TRUMAN SHOW / SHOW = MOTTS (split the H, flip the W) show s/he is true.
Medea is known in most stories as an enchantress and is often depicted as a priestess of the goddess Hecate or a witch.
Medea is a 1969 Italian film directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini, based on the ancient myth of Medea.
Medea is the goddess of illusion. Modern Day Medea = (MEDIA).
Hollywood is the #1 hotspot for creating media. Why is it called Hollywood? Well, there is a tree called the Holly Tree or holly plant.
The druids regarded the Holly Tree as a symbol of fertility and eternal life, thought to have magical powers. Today, Christians have adopted the Hollywood as a symbol for Christmas.
The sharp leaves are said to symbolize the crown of thorns worn by Christ, while the berries represent his blood.
Tumblr media
The magical tree (Holly) is made of wood, hence Holly-Wood and the Hollywood is the witches wand. Whenever someone is trying to get on a movie or show they get “Casted.”
Witches “Cast” spells & what do they read their lines off? A “script” (handwriting as distinct written characters.) "spelling" or writing a prescription (The word prescribe comes from a Latin word meaning to write in advance [of giving a medicine).
That SCRIPT or PRESCRIPTION or MEDICINE that the MEDIA/MEDEA gives to us, is to make us DOCILE and SUBSERVIENT to our OVERLORDS.
Tumblr media
If Medea is the Goddess of illusion and had the ability to control and cast magic, what does that mean for us in the modern day? As everyone is aware, Media today controls the world. From social media (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.) to TV (T = 7, V = 7) media like news channels, they are literally brainwashing (or at least trying to attempt to brainwash) the entire population of Earth.
This is why no one can think beyond what they are told to think. And why no one is able to see the main cause or problems of our reality.
Tumblr media
The only 2 native caffeinated plants in the United States are both the HOLLY.
Specifically the YA-U-P-ON HOLLY (Ilex vomitoria) and Dah(duh)o(eye)on Holly (Ilex cassine).
There are many other native holly plants in the USA as well.
Winterberry holly (Ilex verticillata), Japanese holly (Ilex crenata), American holly (Ilex opaca) and Inkberry (Ilex glabra). There are more than 400 species of Ilex worldwide.
The plant was traditionally used by Native Americans and Euro-American colonists to make an infusion containing caffeine and theobromine. This drink went by different names, such as cassina, beloved drink or white drink among natives and "Carolina Tea", or "South Seas Tea" among colonists.
Native Americans used Yerba Mate (holly plant) in many ways, including as a social ritual, in religious ceremonies, and as a natural remedy.
I recommend it to everyone trying to clear out the toxins and disharmony of their mind and body. It has the ability to help you lose weight, reduce stress, anxiety and depression as well as boost creativity. Its just an all around magical plant that everyone should be using. https://amzn.to/3X6aosw

M E D - lets break down this letter first. I A
D<>ON<>KEY (D is a HARP or a BOW.)
Which means "D" is good, but d can also mean down. A "D" can be a bow but its missing its arrow (are low/Jack Harlow).
mEDIa <> DI (BOW & ARROW) or DIE (BOW + ARROW). DI also looks like the number 10 backwards or binary code and DIE = 013 or eye B (13 can be read as 73 or 777 lucky sevens). I BE LUCKY or DIE. You must transmute the fear or MUTE the fear.
Tumblr media
D = A, I = TT, E = M (the bow and arrow creates a M or B)
The B is the 13th letter or M which creates the angelic WINGs (me in G) of the BEE. And GOD is the QUEEN BEE or ME/IVE/HIVE.
Now will you DIE or will you FLY?
Tumblr media
M = mouth/talk, A = apple/AH/ate. You need to use your Mind to shoot the Apple off a persons head. Is the red color of the apple scary as blood?
I've mentioned before that the M = brain, the A = heart. So which organ is the T?
It is the e|yes/elves (t-hem-s_elves) of the mother (MATT). And e = yes (test). The Y can be a T or it can be a V or it can be asking you y? are you going down lower into the realms of heLL/77/TT.
M = map, A = compass, T = cross
M/W (man/woman) = water, A = blood, T = light
M + A = MA or MOT/HER, T = the illusion coming from MA or MATTs eyes.
Is the letter "D" a half closed eye or a half opened eye?
Tumblr media
If you flip it around the letter "D" it becomes the sun on the horizon (hor/her = zion or Z (N/in) (77) = eye on).
The letter "D" is just half of an "O" (sun, son, eye, apple, egg).
Tumblr media
The word "DIE" can be both a bow and arrow and become "MAT." What does it spell below? M-E-D-A (the tip of the arrow is the I/eye or TT).
Tumblr media
The 4 feathers of the arrow become 77 or M/E. The "D" or bow shape creates three sides or a triangle which creates the "A". Finally the tip of the bow also creates a 7 or a "T".
Be on the look for that F = flag/feather/fall/float in your next typo because F/T/cross/X marks the spot or the hole/whole.
Everywhere we look we can find MAT or Gods true name. They have embedded their truth in perfect harmony with ALL/77 that exist. The fundamental laws of the universe manifest using this language. The language of MOTT/MATT or MOT/HER. She is the QUEEN BEE and we need to learn to harmonize to her voice (deus vox) or vibration so that we can learn to fly into the higher realms of reality.
The B = 13 and the M = 13th letter, and they are your wings to fly 7up. If you're going to be angeLIc don't forget your bow or harp D. Because not only is M<>ON<>KEY, but D<>ON<>KEY as well.
And don't forget the BANK, AN = ON, K = key. The Porcelain Goddess truth is everywhere you look. She likes when you keep the queen clean. So clear out the dust and cobwebs from your life, so that you can think more clearly. It is ALL(AH) connected which means filth in your environment = filth in your mind.
Tumblr media
CHAOS in your life = chaos in your mind. And SHE is CH.
CH/SHE (A-O-S, APPLE-EYE-SNAKE)
CH/SHE <> HA (I ATE) <> SO (snake + apple)
CHLOE CH/SHE LOE/LOW LOW = MOT
Tumblr media
Now are you going to be LOW or you going to learn to rise into MOT/MAT? To Do that you must DU, and to DU you must DU'AT or DO@ (half opened eye, opened eye, apple of my eye).
U = YOU SEE
If you want to start blooming your PINEAL (EAL/EAT/MAT) G(7)LAND then you need MAT. M = 4 lines A = 3 lines T = 2 lines
432 Hz
The healing frequencies of MAT can help you start opening your pinecone. There are many things that can help, reading is one of them, learning is another, exercise is important as well. Even crystals can be helpful to opening your mind. CRYSTAL S = M, L = T CRY MATT
Now do you want to make MATT CRY or do you want to make her FLY? To do that you must try to find her by SEEking her daily before she will help you fly like the humble bumble BEE.

Random thing but I was perusing my list of “foods that could be turned into Cookies” (which yes I do have, I don’t plan to use them to make even more ocs but I find foods that I think would make neat Cookies so I record them for posterity; sometimes I use them for my fankids) and I found one that I think might work for an original name for Tiger Lily, since I doubt that was her original name, that being Inkberry Cookie
I thought it worked because not only does inkberry have “berry” in the name just like the rest of the family (barring her sister), but also inkberry is supposed to be a species of holly, just like her grandma. Also the berries aren’t red in color, they’re more dark, so I suppose it works with her not having pink hair
Tumblr media
I’m not sure that would be Tiger Lily’s name, considering her sister is named Princess Cookie, and I feel it would be a little unfair to name one of your royal kids “Princess Cookie” and the other just a regular name in the family. Though also I’m not sure what name would work in that idea. Eh whatever, I just thought it was a neat idea

mar 29: shrub struggle (shruggle)
we're encountering an issue which is that we want too many large plants! we have a lot of space, to be fair, but want to take our time choosing things. on the other hand we really want to get a hedge row growing in the back for privacy and we keep finding cool stuff.
Tumblr media
so for that purpose, we picked up a blue holly (male and female plants in the same pot).
Tumblr media
we're also both obsessed with this flowering quince, so i ended up ordering one to replace the crepe myrtle shoots. we were hoping to let them grow as a shrub, but it doesn't even grow leaves until summer, so it's not very attractive. i hope the quince does well in its place!
otherwise there's a bunch of stuff in consideration:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
evergreen huckleberry is a PNW native that likes acidic shade, so it's a big contender for the hedgerow in the back. im trying not to just slap a bunch of stuff back there, but it's so pretty, especially the pink variegated cultivar! plus you get fruit out of it. a win win.
Tumblr media
katie's really interested in growing clove currant, a native plant named for the scent of its flowers. it took us a while to find a place selling any, especially different varieties (which boosts fruit production). we did, just not sure where to put it!
Tumblr media
there's also this flowering currant that's super pretty and popular with hummingbirds.
Tumblr media
american beautyberry is a funky little dude that's popular with birds.
Tumblr media
finally there's inkberry. it's maybe a little harder to get excited about, but native evergreens make for useful windbreaks, which we very much need. probably going to revisit this one.

Before and after so @jadesabre301 and @loquaciousquark don’t think my yard is a tardis.
The bush is a holly inkberry, which went where the second hydrangea would have been if it had survived the winter.
Also added some evergreen groundcover the bluebells should be able to come up through. More sweet woodruff and some Irish moss.

Caught the poppy in bloom today! The gaura is also starting to flower.

Hang on. My forestry brain rot gave me a gender revelation.
Most people have a basic understanding of two kinds of trees - needle leaved evergreens and broad leaved deciduous trees. It’s a false binary though - there’s many deciduous needle bearing trees (larches for example), and plenty of evergreen broad leaved trees (many holly species for example). But then you dig deeper - how do you define evergreen? At the equator, almost all plant life is evergreen. Similarly, species at extreme northern or southern climes are largely evergreen. Yet, all evergreens do shed their leaves - not all at once at a seasonal shift as deciduous trees do, but they do shed their leaves. Then there’s the matter of what a tree is - that blurry line between tree and shrub, and the distinct but still shared space between trees and lianas.
And most people don’t know about that. Or think about that. It’s there, it’s real, it exists, and it can feel lonely being the only one whose favorite tree is a larch or an inkberry shrub. They don’t believe you when you tell them a tamarack loses its needles every winter - you can hardly imagine what they would say if you tried to explain tropical evergreens to them. But then you meet other tree people who Get It™ and you can talk about the definitions of evergreen and the beauty of unconventional woody plants.

TSG TIP: What’s Eating You - Managing Boxwood Blight
Tumblr media
Boxwood are a top choice for use in landscaping as they are deer resistant, evergreen, easy to maintain, and grow in a variety of conditions.  However, if you have been noticing that your boxwood shrubs aren’t looking as healthy as they used to, you could be like some of your Northern New Jersey neighbors whose landscapes have fallen victim to boxwood blight.
To learn more about the blight and how we can protect our gardens, we sat down with with Randi Friesema, a licensed landscape architect, LEED AP and certified arborist with Cording Landscape Design, an award-winning full-service design, construction, and maintenance firm fin Towaco, NJ.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above: Projects by Cording Landscape Design.
TSG:  What is happening to our boxwood?
Randi Friesema:  The blight we are seeing is a fungal disease that primarily affects the popular boxwood species. American and Dwarf English Boxwood varieties are the most vulnerable to infection and unfortunately these varieties have been the go-to choice for landscaping.  The remaining varieties tend to have tolerance to the disease.  This particular fungus also attacks pachysandra and sweet box (Sarcococca).
The disease has been common in England for 20 years and was first identified in the US in 2011 - it has now been found in 23 states.  The warm temperatures combined with the extremely wet weather of 2018 caused the dormant fungus to erupt to catastrophic levels and sticky fungal spores attach to host plants carried by people, animals, wind, tools - such as pruners and hoses, water, and already affected plant material such as soil and mulch.  The fungus can stay alive and produce spores in leaves years after they have fallen, so fallen material also poses a danger.
Tumblr media
Above: Affected boxwood.
TSG:  How can I tell if my boxwood are affected?
RF:  Affected boxwood leaves have dark spots/lesions and many branches drop their leaves almost overnight - the disease advances from infection to defoliation in 7 to 10 days.  Look for a pile of dead leaves directly beneath the plant as well as black stripes on the plant stems.
TSG:  How can I protect my boxwood?
RF:  Although there isn’t a cure right now, there are things you can do to prevent infection and keep it from spreading.  If you use a landscape service, ask them if they sterilize their equipment between jobs, and if not, or if you’d like extra assurance, purchase your own tools for them to use and keep at your home.
TSG:  Can anything be done to save affected shrubs?
If you spot symptoms that you think may be boxwood blight, prompt treatment is key to ensuring that the disease doesn’t spread to other plants in your yard or neighborhood.  Get in touch with a certified arborist who can confirm the infection.  From there, treatment includes fungicides and selective pruning.   Any infected material should be burned to minimize the spread.  Recent research has found that applying fungicide to existing boxwood every few weeks during May through October can control - not eradicate - but control the disease.  Speak to your tree and shrub care company about adding this service to their fertilization and pest/disease management program.  The fungus prefers crowded, dense plant material and warm, wet weather so it is suggested that the plants are hand pruned (not sheared) during the winter - while the plant isn't actively growing - to allow more airflow within the branches and hedges.  Another suggestion is to schedule irrigation to run in the morning so that the leaves aren't damp overnight, which would only strengthen the fungus.
TSG:  How long does something like this last?
RF:  Blight has been an issue in the UK since the 90's and was first seen in the U.S. in 2011 and currently remains incurable, but there is research focused on creating a treatment and/or resistant Boxwood varieties.  The news is that the disease overwinters in the soil and comes back to life in the spring.  Plus, the fungus can stay viable in the soil for 5+ years so do not plan on replanting a different boxwood variety in the same spot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above: Yew are a great substitute for boxwood.
TSG:  I was set upon using boxwood for my upcoming project - is there anything as deer resistant that I can use in its place?
RF:  The most suitable replacement for boxwood in the garden is Japanese Plum Yew - the species Cephalotaxus.  Plum yew is deer resistant, evergreen, shade tolerant, and is available in upright, weeping, and mounding habits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above: Holly create a similar looking hedge.
TSG:  What shrub would you recommend using in place of boxwood that will create a similar looking hedge?
Japanese holly (Ilex crenata) and Inkberry holly (Ilex glabra) are great choices to create a hedge where boxwood was originally planned.
