The first one is a Jellyfish-based quirk named whose hero name is Jellia. She was my main OC around the time I introduced myself as one of your anon hence the anon tag. Her hair can take shapes into any jellyfishes she's ingested in the past (I fr think she'd vibe with Suneater and Fat Gum) and inherit their attributes and she's sort of buoyant in air and she kisses the floor that Gang Orca walks on. If there are no more Gang Orca fans in this world it's because she's dead. Originally made her to have the same age range with Hawks but now she's in the same age range with the students but has no pairing considering she's a child and I think it fits her jellyfish motif to be ace. She's got unresolved mommy issues. Like. How can she resolve it when her mum is dead? Also her maternal grandad hates her and compares her a lot to her dead mum lol.

BUT my now main OC is Miss Chief who I literally based all my c.ai RPs on is Miss Chief who has a Kitsune XI quirk (she's the most traumatised amongst my BNHA OCs because her entire family lineage is built upon quirk marriages 💀 she's the biggest Endeavor anti only 4th to Dabi, Natsuo and Shoto. She's not related to the Todoroki's but she'd fit right in). Literally a government dog (don't call her that tho she's not a dog :( she's a fox meant to be free in the wilderness (ok dog)). Trained in the HPSC with Hawks as a teenager so you can imagine why she's extra spicy in the head. My thought process of developing her is literally "Jellyfishes don't go into heat/rut cycles :( ik Hawks' quirk is not actually avian based BUT I gotta cover all bases and make her compatible with fanon Hawks too!!!" and so Miss Chief was born. Dug around my brain and remembered I had a nine-tailed fox OC once and was like !!! Oh. Yes. Anyway, she's crazy but she's best friends with Hawks so I feel like she has every right to be

Last one is just. ✨Me✨. It was a coping mechanism I was reaching a point in my course where I'm trying to study and understand pharmacokinetics and going like "damn why am I here just to suffer" so I made an OC whose quirk amplifies the pharmacokinetics of a person when she smacks her DNA into them. Think of it Stain does it. She's the least problematic since she's Recovery Girl's granddaughter. Her only problem is that she's fucking socially awkward around Hawks because she has the biggest fattest crush on him but cannot act upon it because he was her patient 💀. She met Hawks in the hospital while he was recovering and he was complaining about how his pain medications haven't kicked in yet and she just stares at him blankly, licked her palm and gave him a SMACK and was like "ok my job here is done" and he's just there like why did you smack me tf "unlike my grandma I don't kiss patients bye" and scuttles off and had to beg her manager to send her off for an early break and then put her somewhere else later. Literally drew and made lore about her in between me making notes from lectures LMAO

So for your ask, I'll talk about what's changed since the rejuv 13.5 update. I know I said that I wasn't planning on retconning stuff for the chroniclerverse with v13.5 update but... it's honestly just so good that I have to retcon the new lore into it. I will regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't.

Now the chroniclerverse has a time loop, separated into major and minor cycles. Major cycles is comparable to the game's version updates, and including 13.5 there are a total of fourteen major cycles so far. Minor cycles are like when we start a new game to make a different set of choices, and this one we have no way of keeping count because there's just too many of it. After the disastrous end of the thirteenth cycle, Hauyne gained some control over the time passage of the minor cycles, allowing her to turn back short periods of time at the cost of her stamina. As of the end of .karma files (paragon), she can reverse time back a week at most for three times before collapsing from exhaustion.

Hauyne also has some retcons in design, now including the scars on her left eye (her backstory was revised too) and her physical age has now increased from 16 to 19. She still has the 16 year old look during the thirteenth cycle (aka the first versions of her design that you all are familiar with) because of some things going wrong when Crescent resurrected her into the Black Box vessel, causing her to regress physically in order to conserve her strength. This problem is not present in the fourteenth run, so she was able to regain her original appearance as a young adult instead of the child-like appearance she has as a 16 year old.

Not only that, Hauyne used to have hosts in the previous runs up to the thirteenth, which is when she had enough strength to retain a body of her own instead of having to borrow her deceased classmate's. The first two runs, she had Aevis as a host, then Aevia for the third and fourth, followed by Axel in the fifth and sixth, Ariana in the seventh and eighth, Aero for the ninth and tenth, and finally Alain for the eleventh and twelfth cycles. Only in the thirteenth cycle did she have enough influence on the world for her to keep her own body instead of possessing someone else's. It gets wacky since she also inadvertently inherits the memories of her hosts, which also stacks up with her own extensive memories considering her chronological age is currently somewhere in the 650s if you include the time gap between Storm-9 and the events of rejuv.

Aaaand... in the fourteenth cycle, Crescent is a Cresselia. I know people are going to kill me for this, especially with her backstory reveal in .karma files paragon, but honestly there's a reason why I made Hauyne's story into an AU and not a canon rewrite/divergence.

Also, there's way more lore about the aura wielders now, and I'm hoping to explore that side of the AU with sleepy in rp sometime soon. Gotta love a cousin bonding session where they re-discover their ancestral roots sjdkfhksjfhkdsf

Character in general: i know we've mostly written stuff with warren & kie (which i love because i love them so much) but also: your other muses are so cool. like i'm seeing isaac lahey from teen wolf. i'm seeing someone from the inheritance cycle which i read when i was a teenager and i'm a big mythology / folklore girl so i absolutely eyezoomed at your folklore muses. How they play them: i'm eating it up! give me more! nom nom nom forever, my friend. The Mun: okay look i know i'm slow with gently bothering you but i'm getting there all right! ;P but honestly, all jokes aside: such a lovely person, such a versatile writer. seriously, i'm very glad to have you and all your muses on the dash.

💤 SLEEPING: do they fall asleep easily? what helps them sleep?

MARLO: no, and they have a hard time staying asleep. that’s just trauma, babe—a combination of a circadian cycle warped by the valley campaign, paranoia, and in the event of they dream at all, nightmares. the best remedy they’ve found is sleeping interlocked with someone they’re close with, which is an infrequent luxury but does help negate the paranoia.

ROME: i don’t think she has any particular difficulty or ease in getting there, though like the average inkling she’s a late riser. she has a proper wind-down routine (no phone before bed, warm cup of decaf tea, that kind of thing) because one can take only so many years of frantic travel schedules and repetitive hotels before they break and do something about it.

NESS: there’s a joke that, since he’s an ornate sleeper-ray, he can just conk out on command; it isn’t really that easy, but he is prone to dozing off. he could catch some Zs just about anywhere but, naturally, it helps just to be in his own bed, or read in order to wind down.

🙈 SEE NO EVIL: what’s a side of your oc that they don’t want to show other people?

MARLO: frankly, all of them. i’m fond of saying marlo is a façade all the way down and it’s true. they’re capable of just about anything under the right circumstances; it just depends on who they’re talking to—they're ashamed of just about every part of themself and, if they're bothering to hide it at all, do their best to tailor-make themself for others' sake.

ROME: she markets herself on acting prim and demure and inoffensive, but she's bitter and sour and has a lot of anger bottled up. it's an authenticity she doesn't have the luxury of, and at this point wouldn't know how to wrangle if she did.

NESS: his own moral ambiguity. he doesn't want you knowing how cunning or manipulative he has the capability of being, or the fact that his past doesn't haunt him—staying underestimated grants him a lot more room to move laterally and get his job done. but at the same time he doesn't want to invite misunderstanding: just because he has the know-how doesn't mean he likes it.

🌌 MILKY WAY: what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

MARLO: it’s gonna sound kind of wild, but marlo was originally a self-insert. i’d started playing with a friend and gone... ‘but what if my player character was Agent 3?’ and it went from there. that contributed to a lot of their background & physicality. otherwise, it’ll make a lot of sense to hear that i wanted to push the bounds of just how serious i could take the campaign—that was their inspiration and it also shaped every other foundation about them, to make sure the campaign and its core conflict would tear them down as thoroughly as it could. they were, in the truest sense, doomed from the start.

ROME: rome was drawn from the aforementioned friend’s player character, because i had to have someone for marlo to live with during the campaign & saw fit to combine my and marlo’s introduction to inkopolis. at this point, she had a name, gearset, little sister, and relationship with marlo, and that was all. it wasn’t until last year that i set about bringing her back... and because i had just removed marlo from the rp circle i’d written in and had to fill some gaps asap. (you can actually watch my friend playing as her in this old jaymoji video)

NESS: he. didn’t really have one. i’d kept trying to make Agent 4 ocs for months at this point but none of them had stuck or resonated, until i gave up and dumped my entire job path and personality into one & had someone to bounce him off (his roommate & co-founder). he’s kind of the inverse of marlo in that he inherited from me all the things they didn’t. iirc his foundations are (1) his job and (2) his connection to egyptian myth. that’s... about it.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP: what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

MARLO: it's quicker to ask what wouldn't; danger doesn't often factor into marlo's decision-making these days. death and power and praise are equal prizes in their mind, and even if that weren't the case, their experiences as an agent warped their idea of what even counts as dangerous to begin with. it's literally just tuesday for them.

ROME: nothing short of revenge, or something like it—she prides herself on being cunning and prudent enough not to fall for that sort of thing, and not much matters to her more than her own self-preservation. but rome did very much endanger herself in the name of finding closure & as a means to vent her own raw fury (and never quite realized that's what drove her).

NESS: theoretically, not much: he's very far past the point of wanting to risk his life for just about anything. but at the same time he's a sucker for the extraordinary and wants to know everything. consider the fact he thinks of marlo as both an inherent danger and an inherent fascination, and his relationship to them varies depending on which has more weight at the time; he wants to be a part of their legend, even if it's gonna kill him.

🔪 KNIFE: how do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? do they put themselves at blame?

MARLO: we don't have time to unpack all of that. others' health (mental & physical), no matter their proximity or importance, don't... usually matter to marlo, except where it impairs them. but they do blame themself—at length—for the hurt they themself cause, and hurt is usually the outcome of that exact attitude, so yes, but no. they're capable of demonstrating care and empathy, but in effect they often trivialize others' pain because they're so numb to their own (and instead complain about how much worse off they are).

ROME: either a freeze response or activation of caregiver mode: she might go very quiet, or instantly attempt to offer comfort and/or solutions. most of the time, that's not a bad thing, and there's a reason others think of her as quite kind; but it can be unsettling how rapidly she switches it on (and can't always turn it off again). she blames herself only if she can't fix the problem.

NESS: you'd think for a guy who makes money off unfortunate situations he'd handle it better, but most of the time he reacts with horror. he ensures his sanity thru distancing himself; being presented with it directly often causes him to back off even further, and he ends up seeming callous & selfish. he tries not to ignore them totally, but... he's not good at it. in any case, though, he won't blame himself for situations he couldn't have affected the outcome of.

normally i love researching flowers & symbolism for multiple hours but i want to finish this ask sob. instead i'm gonna say a dozen red roses—in myth aphrodite created them in anguish over the death of adonis; make of that what you like. :)

📖 OPEN BOOK: do they like reading? what’s their favourite genre?

adonis doesn't have a strong opinion one way or another; as he's gotten older he's come around to reading more often, but mainly as a time-killer or to affect the last of his dignity. he likes biographies unironically and trashy romance novellas half-ironically (once he picked one up in a, god forbid, thrift store, and got more fun out of it than he was willing to admit). as part of his attempt to seem "rich and well-bred" during the height of his ink battle fame he read a number of classics, but got very little out of them. who knows, maybe he'll revisit them and get really into jane austen someday.

📣 MEGAPHONE: how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

at one point i said his vc was yuri lowenthal, but i don't like the performance i settled on back then, so take it with a grain of salt. *definitely not as spiderman, in any case. there's not much distinctive about his voice, he talks at an ordinary volume most of the time & it's not too smooth nor too rough & he's trained himself to speak in an inkopolitan dialect. he does like to speak with a flamboyant inflection & inject french phrases into his dialogue, though—mon chéri type beat—and despite himself, when he gets drunk or angry or the like, the southern does tend to come out and then this mf's talking like benoit blanc.

🔫 PISTOL: do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?

i don't think he knows the meaning of the word—the short answers to each of these are no, instantly, i'll give you a hint as to where the scars on his torso came from, and yes. he never had trust in his parents, in his sibling, in anyone he ran into while adrift in inkopolis, in his ranked teammates, in his competitors, in anyone who showed at his parties, and none to show for his coworkers. the notion is alien to him. he gets by fine without it.

💧 DROPLET: random angst headcanon

in the months after their campaign and as they figured out how their life had broken down around their ears—as they realized they could never go home again, both literally and metaphorically—marlo spiraled very hard and very rapidly. as their roommate and best friend, rome took the brunt of it: their burgeoning paranoia, fanaticism, and desire for / use of power over others as a crutch. rome was not the type to stand up for herself at that point, but even she reached a breaking point, and one morning in a whirl of desperation and rage and fear threw marlo out of the house for good. they then did not run into each other for the next five years.

QUESTION 06. if i was speaking over my whole rp-ing 'life', i have found the most fun in original universes inspired by canon fandoms (ahs: asylum, psycho-pass v. walking dead, asoiaf, paranormal hunters) but if i were to break it down:

an original future timeline of game of thrones show universe

a song of ice and fire universe, canon book lore

the walking dead universe, in any capacity

high and low fantasy based universes, emphasizing high-concept and deep lore that i can draw on, and usually featuring an element of the mythical. (asoiaf, inheritance cycle, the witcher, lord of the rings, potc, spartacus etc.)

and generalised survival-horror universes, with a heavy emphasis on a supernatural or preternatural enemy in verse.

i absolutely avoid plain modern universes (the occasional au thread is okay) as i don't get any satisfaction writing them, i gravitate to mature themes and complex arcs where long-form plotting and development plays a biiiig part. and tbh that really shows in the universes i favour because the content of those universes run a similar tone; which is almost always the concept of killed or be killed.
