#nonmerci Take a Cow for a Walk. Much better for your health than drinking milk. I’m not a scientist, nor a nutritionist. I speak from personal experience when I say that I don’t think dairy products are good for us. Drinking milk gives me skin problems. I find it hard to properly digest dairy products, and I’m not alone. 75% of the world population is lactose intolerant. I hear you thinking “But we need calcium !” True. Luckily, there are alternatives like green leafy vegetables and beans. In fact, these are much better as the body finds calcium absorption from these foods easier. If you suffer from skin problems, irritable bowel syndrome or sinus problems, I suggest cutting out dairy (completely!) for two weeks to see if your symptoms disappear. #24 Carob Covered Nuts. Ohhh this is what I miss the most from home. In the Netherlands we have all these nut & cheese stores with crunchy, roasted and chocolate covered nuts. I can’t seem to find any in London, so I'll just have to DIY this. The good thing about home-made nuts is that you can use exactly what you want in terms of ingredients. I like to substitute cacao with carob. Carob tastes almost like chocolate, but doesn't contain caffeine. | Recipe: Roast 2 cups of nuts in the oven at 175 degrees. Then blend the following: 2 tbsp coconut oil 2 tbsp carob powder 1/4 cup maple syrup 1/2 tsp himalayan salt Poor the mixture over the cooled down nuts. Place in the oven again, but this time at 125 degrees until dry (30min).
