Most of my WIPs are in the outline stages (my Endless History Fest submission, Summer Knight sequel, and the next chapter of Pas de Deux) so here's a bit of the next chapter of Infinitas:

Hob sighed again as he dropped the note back onto the coffee table. Usually the absence of your date and the presence of a note the next morning was an ill omen for the future of the relationship, but Hob didn’t feel any of that ill-ease. It was reasonable that a world-class jeweler like Dream would have lots of demands on his time, including work calls at ass-o-clock on a Saturday. Not to mention it was also reasonable for him to want some space to recover, considering the old wounds that had been torn open in the night.

CARTA DE UN HIJO A UN PADRE.

Y pasaron 18 años, quizá para algunos mucho tiempo, para otros quizá poco tiempo, para mí tal vez una eternidad. Aprendí con más errores que aciertos a ser un buen hombre, pero vaya que dejaste esa vara muy alta, vaya que si lo hiciste. Hoy a mi edad miro y pienso que te fuiste muy pronto, que no te fuiste de la mejor manera, que quizá siendo yo un egoísta hubiera cambiado el cuento. Pero no, no puedo hacerlo. No pudimos hacer tantas cosas y otras tantas que hubiera preferido no, pero si. No poder abrazarte, solo llevarte flores es quizá lo más duro para mí. Con temor a que suene a reclamo y sin pretender serlo, no me viste en aquel juego donde anoté mi primer gol o quizá en aquel que descubrí en qué posición jugaba más, no te alcance a hablar de aquella niña que me gustaba tanto en la escuela o nos reímos de la primera vez que intenté besar a una niña, no estuviste para levantarme todas esas veces que tropecé y caí. No pudimos contarnos las anécdotas del pasado y compartir recuerdos. No podrás estar el día que al igual que tú en un altar le jure amor a alguien, no me verás convertirme en un padre como tú lo hiciste conmigo. Ya no puedes darme consejos de un adulto a otro, no me enseñarás a ser papá. No verás correr a mis hijos o abrazarles. Solo me queda hablarles de ti y del buen hombre que fue su abuelo. Hoy 18 años desde tu partida, solo me queda enviarte esta carta a dónde quiera que te encuentres y que sepas que te represento en la tierra porque tú sangre corre en mi y esos escasos y borrosos recuerdos de mi niñez aún viven en mi. Fuerte abrazo y dos besos de mis despedidas anuales. Tu último hijo, con cariño.
