suburban legends - in depth of a theory that the song is written about matthew gray gubler
this theory was made by me and rafa (@bendthwrules on twitter) cause weâre both delusional and have lots of free time apparently lol please take this lightly this is just to have fun. if you have any thoughts to share or add to our theory dont be shy !
first and foremost, weâll start with a timeline then dive in to analyze the lyrics! it all starts with taylorâs infamous 4th of july parties, as most of you probably already know, matthew was in one of her parties in 2013, she threw the party at her house in rhode island.
on july 3rd, matthew tweeted that his next stop was new england, later that day, he took a photo with a fan during a flight to connecticut. the rumors that he was at her party started when he posted pictures with face paint and sparklers and people started to notice similarities between his and taylorâs pictures, he later deleted said pictures.
for reference, first are the pictures he posted and the pictures taylor took with other friends on the same occasion.
later on, we got this picture of the of them together, confirming that he was at her party indeed. (i canât remember who posted this so if you remember please let me know)
his attendance on taylorâs independence party sparked rumors of a possible romance, although they didnât officially date, itâs common knowledge that they did have a fling (also for the sake of the theory weâll accept that as true lol).
letâs fast forward to 300 (and almost 65) days later, a new movie premieres at the fantasia international film festival on june of 2014, the movie is suburban gothic. and this was the starting point for me and rafa i mean suburban gothic⊠suburban legendsâŠ
taylor announced her first pop album ever, 1989, on a yahoo worldwide livestream on august 18th, 2014. by the time she announced it, of course, the album was already finished and the tracks it would have were already determined so anything taylor wrote after that, wouldnât be in the original version of 1989.
our grand theory is that the premier of matthewâs new movie, suburban gothic, made taylor think back on her (very very) brief relationship with him, therefore, inspiring her to write suburban legends, a direct reference to the movie title.
without further ado, letâs get to the lyrics!!
taylor start the song by singing
âYou had people who called you on unmarked numbers
In my peripheral visionâ
which led us to associating it to mggâs previous girlfriend and also his co-star in suburban gothic, kat dennings. since they were doing a movie together, they probably were in contact a lot and thatâs possibly what taylor was referencing in this verse.
she then goes
âI let it slide like a hose on a slippery plastic summer
All was quickly forgivenâ
keep in mind all the 4th of july parties are in the middle of summer, this verse could be a direct reference to that since the very first rumors started with a party in the middle of summer.
âAnd you kiss me in a way that's gonna screw me up foreverâ
do i even need to say anything else?
âI had the fantasy that maybe our mismatched star signs would surprise the whole schoolâ
when sharing my thoughts on the lyrics with rafa, i reminded her of what taylor wrote in state of grace âjust twin fire signsâ, this could be about taylor and the person sheâs singing about sharing star signs (of the elements fire) but also about them being twin flames (or at least she thought so). just like she purposefully mentioned matching signs in previous lyrics, i do believe she would mention mismatched signs, mind you that taylor is a sagittarius and matthew is a pisces.
that verse could also be a metaphor about how would people view their relationship, they are from different parts of the industry and didnât share many mutual friends. âsurprising the whole schoolâ could be about how shocked the general public would be about them being together.
âWhen I ended up back at our class reunion walking in with you
You'd be more than a chapter in my old diaries with the pages ripped outâ
here i want to highlight the expression âyouâd beâ and in the previous verse âi had a fantasyâ, when using these expressions, taylor is taking a position of someone imagining something, someone wondering even daydreaming about what things would be like. all the other theories about who this song is about revolve around people who taylor actually had a relationship with like harry styles and it just doesnât make sense to me why sheâd be having a fantasy of how things would be like when she knew how things were. personally, this verses make much more sense when placed in a context of someone who taylor didnât have a real relationship with, like matthew.
âI know that you still rememberâ
if weâre starting from the assumption that she wrote the song almost a year later looking back at what happened between them, this verse could be how she is directly talking to him, she is remembering what happened and she knows he still remember as well.
âWhen you told me we'd get back togetherâ
this could possibly hint to him wanting to get back together with her, wanting to actually evolve into a true relationship.
âI broke my own heart 'cause you were too polite to do itâ
although i think thereâs something almost sarcastic to this verse (like you were sooo polite you couldnât even break my heart đ„Ž), i still do think it makes a connection to the previous verse i mentioned, perhaps he wanted to have a real relationship with her and when she realized it wouldnât work, she had to break her own heart so she could move on.
and some other verses that just scream matthew gray gubler (iykyk) but i canât quite put into words like âYou were so magnetic it was almost obnoxiousâ or âWe were born to be national treasuresâ.
well, that was too much ! i think itâs pretty clear that iâm not the most skilled writer (đ) but this was just to share the thoughts that were making me go crazy. huuuuge thanks to rafa cause she was the one to make me stop and think about it also helped me with the writing process and also is big on timeline cause sheâs been on both fandoms a long time, ty love đ©·.
please let me know your thoughts on this, love you pookies đ«¶

Possible locations for Gotham, Metropolis, & Smallville
A non-exhaustive list of places to put Gotham, Metropolis, or any other fictional city.
Notes:
Cities need reliable fresh water, transportation, and food.
Wonder Woman doesn't need a city. She already has Paradise Island.
Gotham
I'm more of a Superman fan, so my notes on Gotham are relatively short. Plus Metropolis comes in two variations, while Gotham just needs to be a city that is old enough to have old infrastructure and deep-rooted generational wealth.
Illinois/Indiana:
The Chicago-Gary area is the easiest place to put Gotham if you want to move it away from the East Coast. Hello Kitty Unpretty's Gotham is a Great Lakes city.
New Jersey:
The classic. There are two good places for a fictional city, but the one in the southern area of the state will be noticeably different from canon-Gotham.
The Camden-Rehoboth Bay corridor could be unified by an old canal system. Place Gotham one one end of the canal and Bluehaven (Bludhaven to cynical locals) on the other, according to your preference. Note that the Rehoboth Bay end is mostly mud and silt layered over more mud and silt, so you're probably better off placing Bludhaven here as a smaller city with few major towers. Either end will need extensive drainage (canals, storm drains, aqueducts, and reservoirs), so that's great for the crumbling infrastructure. Remember that if you place Gotham here, Batman's costume needs to be light, not armoured, or he'll be dead in a week from heat stroke.
The New Brunswick-Newark metropolitan area fits the climate we usually see in comics. Maybe throw in Staten Island as a little treat for New jersey.
In either case, the rest of the Justice League calls Batman Tony Soprano behind his back.
New York:
The NYC metro region with no city unification. Gotham is probably Manhattan, plus maybe Staten Island for rich people like Bruce.
Ohio:
A unified Cleveland-Akron-Canton metropolitan area with a higher population, maybe?
Rhode Island
My preferred headcanon: The Newport-Providence metropolitan area as a unified city. Bruce Wayne is old old money, some of the Wayne cousins were involved in the witch trials, and this fits the map published by Mayfair games.
Metropolis
Metropolis comes in two flavours: The more common one where Metropolis is a stand-in for an old East Coast US city, or; The Superman: TAS version where Metropolis is a new city, built under the influence of tech billionaire Lex Luthor. I like both.
If you like Clark and Lex as high school friends, that's not really compatible with a New Metro built by Lex Luthor. There's just not enough time for Lex to build anything more than a small suburb. But Lex could be manoeuvring to take control of Metropolis from his family, or from some other DCU billionaire like Simon Stagg.
Connecticut:
There are two good regions in Connecticut to place a fictional city: The Bridgeport-New Haven region, or; The area between the Connecticut River and Thames River.
The Bridgeport-New Haven version better fits the Old Metropolis version, but can also be used for the New Metro version. If you're going for Old Metro, in reality this area did industrialize before the NYC area (Which was dominated by shipping before it picked up light manufacturing), but the early industrialists didn't invest enough in the trade schools or financial institutions that would have let them keep that early advantage. Have a few mill owners and canal companies invest in engineering schools, have later industrial barons invest in office equipment manufacturing and chemical engineering, and you have your Old Metro. For your New Metro, genius tech billionaire Lex Luthor plants a few factories in the major population centres, buys up golf courses to turn them into company towns with inexpensive mid-density housing, and then uses his political and economic influence to pressure the municipalities to merge into his new Metropolis. This version of the New Metro will have more old architecture, but that's not a bad thing.
The Connecticut River-Thames River region fits either version. For an Old Metro, just have the area invest in trades and technical schools as with the Bridgeport-New Haven region. There are old whaling towns in this area so the region could move into shipbuilding, marine alloys engineering, and later railcars and elevators and escalators. This is an easy place to plant a fictional new city, with a low urban population and lots of farms, golf course, and camp/resort sites to buy out. An ambitious billionaire or group of wealthy investors could start a new urban centre with relative ease.
Delaware:
Most of the Delmarva region is mud. You're not going to build many skyscrapers here. But you could fit some in along the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.
A Metropolis on the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal would probably be smaller than Metropolis is usually shown as, with maybe two million inhabitants instead of six-eight million. But this is comic books, so go with what feels right to your heart.
This works equally well for New or Old Metro.
New Jersey:
Have Bayonne & Newark industrialize early, deliver Staten Island unto New Jersey, invest heavily in education and financial institutions, unify Bayonne-Newark-Staten Island, and bada-bing bada-boom Lois Lane sounds like Carmela Soprano.
Staten Island isn't necessary, but you gotta put the fancy houses and big parks somewhere.
Works best with the Old Metro approach, but you could also have investors take over the urban area and push a lot of redevelopment.
New York:
There are a couple of good places in New York state for Metropolis.
For a New Metro, try the Chaumont Bay-Guffin Bay region. Access to rail, road, air, and sea shipping, and lots of tradespeople and professionals in nearby cities who are desperate for inexpensive housing.
For an Old Metro, you can't go wrong with a thinly-disguised NYC. Just file off the serial numbers, maybe some new rims, and drive it like you stole it.
Smallville
Generic East Coast:
If you're like me and prefer the feel of Bronze Age Smallville, you might want to keep Smallville as an East Coast town. This is easy. There's no reason for Smallville to be in the same state as Metropolis, so it can be anywhere from Maryland to Massachusetts. Towards the end of the Bronze Age it was generally described as vaguely New Jersey or Pennsylvania. East Coasters can entertain themselves imagining Clark Kent, MetU freshman, trying to order a pork roll and water ice in the Metropolis version of Eisenberg's Sandwich Shop.
Kansas:
The Flint Hills region matches modern continuity and the look of both the Smallville series and Bronze Age comics. Lawrence is a good model.
Special Mention: Susquehanna River
BludBluehaven: Great place for Nightwing to relocate to, regardless of where your Gotham is.
Gotham: Replaces Baltimore and/or Philadelphia as a rail and sea hub.
Metropolis: Great for the New Metro.
Opal City: Gotta go somewhere, and this matches the map DC published.
Smallville: Depends on what version you prefer.
What About The Teen Titans?
Fuck Marv Wolfman, that's what.

End game
Like all Ed features, End Game is Haylor. (Ed, the O.G. Haylor MVP) it was written a few weeks after HS1 was released. Unlike other Rep songs that were revisited and have Joe references, even when they started before they met. In fact the film clip is overtly Haylor. (below) in the BTS (at 1:55) Taylorâs gets text with a scrabble move, she considers, says it is a 'tight game' and decides to leave the other player suspended. Ed blushes.
youtube
When OOTW was released Harryâs IG went B&W for 2 years until he started solo promo, apart from a few scrabble boards (in screaming colour) I have a theory he & Taylor played remotely which is why they are colour and she included this.
Hereâs some footage of Joe playing scrabble. âŠ.oh sorry, wait, thatâs Harry Styles: fan of Scrabble and texting T Swift. Look at her here in the reputation book with the players names covered.. I wonder why lol
Timeline
Ed Sheeran said he wrote his part in a hotel room in New York. He told Audacy that he went to her RI home and heard Rep then the next day wrote it in a hotel in NY. 14 July 2017. (2 months after HS1âs release) (He was also at Taylors NY Apartment 7 March)
I was playing Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, she has a place in Rhode Island, which isn't too far so she hits me up I go around. She plays me what turned out to be Reputation and End Game and I was like man this is I really like, can I do a verse can I like do a rap verse and she was like yeah for sure. So the next day i kind of I remember I was in bed and sort of woke up and i got my laptop out but the song just looped it and I wrote wrote this verse and I went in with max martin who she did the song with and recorded it and then future the verse and then Taylor wrote a verse and then yeah we shot we shot a video".
Film Clip
The film clip is less subtle in being Haylor, it takes place in:
Miami, where HS and TS hung out at Courtney Cox's house
Tokyo, where HS went on a 1D break as his first trip overseas without the band
London, where Ed, HS and Joe all live.
Haylor Easter eggs:
0:04 the ferris wheel looks like the winding wheel.
0:21 she is a passenger in a car at night
0:44 she wears a very Harry Gucci Jumpsuit
0:48 there is a polaroid
1:10 she is a single kitten mother, except Olivia is in her Rep Era lol
1:20 the 1989 Rolling Stone shoot, now in the dark with fireworks.
2:09 Taylor 'A' Swift wears an "A" shirt see: Harry's A tattoo. (When asked Harry said "uh... for my mum" which Louis said "No it's not not it's for a mystery blonde" (2:40)
2:39 she wears the Red/WANGBT hat and cane. She also wears the jacket from her red rolling stone cover.
3:13 there are 2 white bird statues that look like his chest tattoos.
3.30 she references the 1D One Thing MV bus scene
3:43 she visits this kebab shop, a similar one with a made up but similar name is in the 1D midnight memories MV. This tik tok is also about this being an exâs kebab shop
youtube
Lyrics
I wanna be your endgame, endgame Big reputation, big reputation Ooh, you and me, we got big reputations, ah And you heard about me, ooh I got some big enemies (yeah) Big reputation, big reputation Ooh, you and me, we'd be a big conversation, ah
HS and TS have both had big reputations as long as theyâve know each other. Now both A-listers dating is a much bigger conversation than one dating anyone else. Her enemies of Scooter and the Kanye are relevant to the music industry.
I don't wanna touch you (I don't wanna be) Just another ex-love (you don't wanna see) I don't wanna miss you (I don't wanna miss you) Like the other girls do
New Years Day Taylor sings âPlease don't ever become a stranger, Whose laugh I could recognize anywhereâ.
I don't wanna hurt you (I just wanna be) Drinkin' on a beach with (you all over me)
Harry Styles Debut was released May 2017, 6 months before Rep. Harry told Radio 1 he had played it for Ed earlier. The album lays out a lot of hurt between them Taylor may not have known about in that detail. Drinking, beaches and being all over each other are solid Haylor themes, see Video.
I hit you like, "Bang" We tried to forget it, but we just couldn't
Haylor hit like a bang, they met in march, were together almost immediately, he had multiple tattoos that reference her by May and they both had new albums with songs they still perform about each other by October and November. Toe were friends for a long time first and were not yet public.
Reputation precedes me, they told you I'm crazy I swear I don't love the drama, it loves me And I can't let you go, your handprint's on my soul It's like your eyes are liquor, it's like your body is gold You've been calling my bluff on all my usual tricks So here's the truth from my red lips
Thereâs a lot of Haylor references here:
They told you I was crazy, I swear I donât love the drama is a reference to 1989âs Blank Space
I canât let you go, Handprints on my soul fits is a theme in 1989, MMIH, Stockholm syndrome, ready for it?, Harryâs House.
The truth from my red lips refers to Style, Two Ghosts and other lip related lyrics.
Finally Taylor uses gold to describe HS in Gold Rush: âEverybody wants you, But I don't like a gold rush, What must it be like, to grow up that beautiful?â

Re: Fun video games that (probably) won't fry your laptop. These are all on Steam.
-Factorio - Strategy/puzzle game about automating an enormous factory while siphoning natural resources from an infinite alien landscape. Highly moddable. Still receives occasional updates. Includes in-game tutorial, and peaceful mode if you don't want to fight the planet's giant cockroaches. Allegedly indirectly teaches you about software engineering.
-Killing Floor - Co-op first-person shooter survival horror. Work alone or with friends (difficulty scales with player count) to fend off waves of increasingly deadly mutants in locations ranging from West London to secret underground labs to Santa's workshop, before squaring off against their mad scientist creator. Already sequeled twice and receives no further updates (don't expect a huge player base), and many weapons (and cosmetic skins) are locked in DLCs.
-DEFCON - Real-time strategy about global thermonuclear war, inspired by the 1980s movie Wargames. Take control of one or more territories and try to eradicate as much of the population of up to fixe enemy territories while minimizing your own losses. Highly moddable, and often goes on sale for really cheap. Includes in-game tutorial. Was once the focus of an actual for real scientific study.
-DUSK - First-person episodic Boomer Shooter. Take on the role of Dusk Dude as he runs and guns his way through more than 30 levels of Pennsylvania backwoods, corrupted cityscapes, and places beyond the understanding of men. Fight your way through legions of cultists and nameless terrors, and finally, the cult's leader, Jakob. Somewhat moddable, and offers an arena-style multiplayer. Features a kickass thrash/industrial metal soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult. HD version also recently released (as a free add-on to the original game).
-Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - The third (and arguably best) iteration of the classic tactical stealth game, though almost totally separate from the stories of the first two. Play as Sam Fisher, a spy for the NSA as you use gadgets, cunning, and state-sponsored gymnastic skills to unravel the latest plot to push the world toward all-out war. Includes in-game video tutorials. Features co-op and versus modes (though I've never tried them).
-Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - Top-down arcade-style mass murder simulator drenched in blood, neon colors, and '80s aesthetics. Play as a nameless protagonist (fan named "Jacket") receiving orders from mysterious phone calls, and bludgeon, slash, and shoot your way through buildings crawling with Russian Mafia, wearing rubber animal masks that give you different abilities. In the second game, the story expands as you play as several other characters in the aftermath of Jacket's actions, each with their own motivations, yet inexorably bound together. Features many synth-pop tracks from various artists, available on a neon magenta vinyl record. Go for the high score and show off to your friends how amazing and handsome you are at a critically-acclaimed indie game. Second game also comes with a short virtual comic book!
-FAItH: The Unholy Trinity - 8-bit style religious horror game with rotoscoped cutscenes, developed b Airdorf Games. Play as Fr. John Ward in 1987 Connecticut as your quest to right your wrongs and complete an interrupted exorcism spiral into madness and the true depths of the Satanic Panic of the 1980s. Features multiple endings, game modes, an arcade mode, and an in-game tutorial.
-Bloodrayne: Terminal Cut - A PC port of the cult-favorite third-person hack-and-slash. Play as Rayne, a dhampir hired by the mysterious Brimstone Society to handle situations too otherworldly or dangerous for mere humans; Which mostly involves slaughtering thousands of Nazis before they can get their hands on otherworldly artifacts. Includes a bunch of special codes that can be inputted to make the game easier, harder, or to activate "Juggy Mode." Game doesn't have any actual nudity but definitely enjoys its jiggle physics. One sequel (not as good IMO but also on Steam), a spinoff game, and also spawned at least 1 movie and some comic books IRL.
-CARRION - Metroidvania-style reverse horror game. Play as an unfathomable lump of runaway teeth, tentacles, and God-knows-what as you tear your way through Relith Labs, on a mission to escape and consume anyone who gets in your way. Evolve as the game progresses, growing larger and acquiring new abilities. Includes a small Christmas-themed free DLC that is essentially more of the same.
-Gone Home - Short, narrative-driven game about returning from Europe to your parents' new home, and discovering your sister is gone. Explore the house, discovering notes, clues, and secrets as a story of growing up and self-discovery unfolds. I don't want to spoil any of it, just take my word for it that it's a good game, and not violent or anything like other games on this list.
-Omen Exitio: Plague - Visual novel RPG where you take on the role of a doctor during an outbreak of a mysterious, deadly disease. Unravel the mystery bit by bit as you are hounded by madness and mysterious figures with ill intention, and make decisions that may alter the course of history.
-Hacknet - DOS-style programming game apparently inspired by hacking scenes in various movies. Delve into the world of professional hackers, complete jobs for clients, bypass security to break into servers, and discover the fate of your late benefactor, as his/her automated failsafe leads you toward the truth. "Labyrinths" DLC also available, and can be accessed and completed at any time before, during, or after the main game. In-game tutorial provided. Features an amazing techno soundtrack by various artists. Should not be confused with real-world cybersecurity activities - Those are much more difficult.
I have more, but this alone has taken me an hour to write. Let me know your thoughts.
Definitely been meaning to check out FAItH, and I've heard of Gone Home. If I remember what I saw in the trailer correctly, it sorta reminds me of that Edith Finch game.
As for that Plague game....do I get to actually be a plague doctor??????

tuesday again 6/6/2023
two things to frontload:
if you have good vibes to send off in service of me getting a livable apartment in the greater houston tx area i would be most grateful, bc the hunt ain't fuckin goin too fuckin great
go play ABZĂ
listening
soul bossa nova by quincy jones bc it popped up on my discover weekly. i can only assume spotify recced this to me for bossa nova reasons bc i have been categorically ignoring austin powers my entire life and intend to continue on in this fashion.
youtube
it is a bop tho.
-
reading
when i wrote the pinned post for this blog i settled on "a common throughline in Shit What I Like is understanding how and why systems work" bc i hadn't yet listened to Well There's Your Problem, a podcast with slides about engineering disasters and systemic failures, and "OSHA aficionado" is shorter but less snappy than "WTYPP fan". anyway when i think "chemical spill" i do not generally think "hand sanitizer spill", and when i think "how do i get rid of all this unsellable poorly made hand sanitizer made in the early days of the pandemic" i do not immediately leap to "well i'll just dump pallets in this parking lot and warehouse and surely it won't spill and/or explode bc hand sanitizer is a product that makes you safer".
ArtNaturals was, at that point, not on the [FDA warning] list. Its sanitizer, labeled with a tasteful, millennial-friendly design that said it was vegan and infused with jojoba oil, was marketed as âsafe for kidsâ and âa great bulk hand sanitizer pack for parents and teachers.â At least two school districts on the West Coast had purchased the sanitizer to distribute to students, in addition to two Ivy League universities. Then, in March 2021, a year into sales, an independent lab in Connecticut called Valisure announced that it had found benzene in the companyâs sanitizer. Benzene, a widely used industrial chemical derived from petroleum, can be absorbed through the skin and is known to be a risk factor for leukemia.
came across it bc my rss feed really wanted me to subscribe to longreads (no), but this one did catch my eye as i was checking to make sure the site still wasn't for me
-
watching
youtube
watching this was a unexpectedly funny experience bc i recognized one of the backing instrumentals as a previous tuesdaypost song, which kind of felt like solving a mystery book on chapter three bc u knew an obscure fact about eels. this documentary came out in nov 22 and the song was one of this past feb's tuesdaysongs so i can only assume the spike in popularity from the documentary propelled it onto my discover weekly playlist??? the internet is a series of algorithmic tubes &tc
this is a tremendous work, as a documentary/history/archival effort/piece of art. it made me tear up. there's a very lovely sequence about memory and legacy that got me thinking a lot again about how i would like to be remembered. ive rewritten this section four times, when usually i don't redraft the tuesdaypost much at all. boils down to: complex and weird topic to talk about as an orphan, i am reluctant to be any more emotionally vulnerable than i absolutely have to during this time of great cross-country change and moving upheaval.
i appreciated how this was not tearjerker webby bait, which would have made it feel very hollow and embittered me even more during a week i am already predisposed to hate humanity. instead, mr perjurer is simply very good at his job (being an ethical documentarian)
-
playing
one game i really loved and one game i really hated, so it goes.
despite religiously downloading the epic store free game of the week bc i have a reminder written in my planner, i never fucking remember to actually look at what i have in that library.
ABZĂ genuinely healed my heart during a very unpleasant weekend.
i don't use this as a recs platform except for this one time when i am cashing in all my chips. go play ABZĂ, it takes like an hour and a half.
all you need to know about it you can get from the cover art. it is not a hard game and it is not a horror game. i went in totally blind and the less you know about this game the better. i was delighted nearly every minute. every time i saw an ammonite i felt like i was seeing an old friend. there are SO many clever game design choices i want to talk about. message me after you play this. i said "of COURSE IT WAS AUSTIN FUCKING WINTORY ON THE SCORE" during the credits. what an absolutely goddamn perfect little jewel of a game.
AGAIN: go play ABZĂ.
youtube
i also played Call of the Sea, bc it was in my epic library and i wanted something fast and oceanic to continue the high of ABZĂ.
Call of the Sea did not continue the high of ABZĂ. i think this team carefully and thoughtfully sidestepped several of the usual issues is making something Lovecraftian but fell into the rest of the pits. eg i liked that they had Polynesian culture consultants, but from an interview it seemed like it was limited to a one-day crash course? i am deeply grateful this isn't a dead-wife game and the female protagonist has a great deal of agency, but she's still a rich white lady from boston trekking about the Tahitian islands commenting on primitive structures, which made me suck air in through my teeth at many points. there is an "ancient slave culture" thread that never actually resolves. i really wish it resolved. the game overall is in a very weird place, trapped between the norms and mores of the early 40s and the 2020s. you have Got to commit to one or the other.
the overall vibe is very polished for a first game. general vibes are Firewatch but puzzle-adventure. the lighting is a little too dynamic and was very distracting throughout. due to this studio's age (new) and odd location (spain) and how their debut game came out (took a year and a half to make, debuted on gamepass) i understand why this game exists the way it does from a marketing and industry standpoint and why they favored visual polish and art style over everything else. it's still annoying bc it is so close to an interesting game.
the twist particularly infuriated me as a chronically ill person, spoilers for the twist behind rot13

In the said graphic comic novel, a panel features a background sign with the word 'Lumity' written on it, cleverly referencing the popular ship from "The Owl House". This subtle cameo has sparked excitement among fans of both shows.
While this Easter Egg has led to speculation about a potential crossover between "The Owl House" and "Danny Phantom" on Kids TV cable networks such as Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, it remains purely theoretical at this point. However, the connection between the two shows through this graphic comic novel has ignited fans' imaginations, and they have started to speculate about the possibility of a future collaboration.
"Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time" was written by a Philly illustrator and New York Times' best-selling author named Gabriela Rodriguez Epstein, and was released in a graphic, comic novel format. The story follows the adventures of Danny Phantom, a teenage ghost-hunting superhero. The graphic novel's release adds another layer of excitement for fans of both "The Owl House" and "Danny Phantom", as they eagerly await further developments and potential crossovers between the two beloved animated series.
As fans eagerly anticipate any news of a crossover, the discovery of the 'Lumity' Easter Egg has brought the two fandoms closer together. It serves as a reminder of the power of these animated shows to create connections among fans and spark their imaginations.
'Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time' is available now at your local library stores or wherever the books are sold, both physically or online.

CURTAIN UP!
Lucy on Stage ~ Epilogue
Lucille Ball has influenced theatrical stage plays as part of her legacy to the entertainment industry. There have been theatrical presentations that merely mention her name, or present her as a character. Here are a just a few examples.Â
I Love Lucy ~ A three-act comedy adapted by Christopher Sergel from the television program by Jess Oppenheimer, Madelyn Pugh, and Bob Carroll Jr.Â
Act One opens in the Ricardosâ messy living room, based on the TV showâs eighth episode, âMen Are Messy.â Lucy and Ricky argue over finances. Lucy changes the subject by wanting to look up Rickyâs horoscope, from âThe SĂ©ance.â She does this to encourage Ricky to ask Mr. Littlefield, owner of the Tropicana nightclub, for a raise (from âRicky Asks for a Raiseâ). Peggy and Arthur, âThe Young Fansâ are also in the cast. Later, Mr. Littlefield comes over to the messy apartment and wonders how Ricky can manage the Tropicana if he canât manage his own wife.
It is reported that in 1954, before television was widely available in Hawaii, Hilo High School put on the âI Love Lucyâ play!  The sister of a Hilo High School teacher living in Hollywood met with the publicity manager for Lucy and Desi and told them about the approaching production. Lucille Ball was reportedly âthrilled,â and asked for pictures of the Hilo High School cast. The âI Love Lucyâ senior play had four daytime student performances and one night showing for the community. It was also staged at the Kilauea Military Reservation. The Arnazes sent them a congratulatory telegram.
âIf you want to laugh until tears run down your cheeks and your sides ache go see âI Love Lucy,â the hilarious comedy production by Hilo High Schoolâs senior class. The cast literally had its audience rolling in the aisles.â ~Â Thelma Olival in the Hilo Tribune Herald
After a few local and community performances, the Sergel script was withdrawn and is no longer in print.Â
In 1955, after âI Love Lucyâ concluded its European Tour episodes, Hedda Hopper reported that Lucille Ball and Desi Aranz were in talks to appear in a stage musical produced by Rogers and Hammerstein.Â
âThey're figuring on an original story to fit their personalities, and it will bring these two back to the stage for the first time in 15 years. Desi was in âToo Many Girlsâ in 1940 and Lucille road-toured in âDream Girlâ after she quit Metro. ~ Hedda Hopper, July 11, 1955
Needless to say, the project never materialized. Instead, Lucy and Desi opted for a sixth season of âI Love Lucyâ set in Connecticut.Â
Bells Are Ringing (1956) is a Broadway musical by Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Jule Styne, which focuses on Ella Peterson (originally played by Judy Holliday), who works in the basement office of a telephone answering service. At a party attended by snobbish New Yorkers, the ensemble sings âDrop that Nameâ. One of the names dropped is Lucille Ball. The 1960 film adaptation (also starring Holliday and Lucille Ballâs friend Dean Martin) was directed by Vincente Minnelli, who had directed Ball in The Long, Long Trailer (1954).Â
âThat's the way you play the game, Drop that name!â
Little Shop of Horrors (1982) by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman follows a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. He has a romance with a fragile beauty named Audrey, who dreams of âSomewhere Thatâs Green.â The lyrics of the song imagine Audrey and Seymour married, settled down, and watching âI Love Lucyâ with their children. When the film was made in 1986, the song was turned into a dream sequence that featured footage of âI Love Lucyâsâ famous chocolate factory scene from âJob Switchingâ (1952).
âWe snuggle watchin' Lucy On our big, enormous twelve-inch screen!â
Baby (1983) is a Broadway musical by David Shire, Richard Matlby Jr, and Sybille Pearson that dealt with the effects of motherhood on three couples. During the song âI Want It Allâ the three expectant mothers (originally Liz Calloway, Catherine Cox, and Beth Fowler) sing about the famous and powerful women they emulate.. including Lucille Ball.Â
âI want to be Mother Teresa, Sally Ride, Lucille Ball I want it all!â
Senator Joe (1989) was a Broadway âpoperaâ by Tom O'Horgan and Perry Arthur Kroeger that dealt with famous red-hunting Senator Joseph McCarthy. The show closed in previews due to accusations of financial misconduct by its producer.Â
(Photo courtesy of Perry Arthur Kroeger. Used by permission.)
Lucille Ball was accused of being a communist by McCarthy in 1953. The show featured large cut-out heads of Lucy and Desi (as well as Jackie Gleason and Howdy Doody), with their dialogue voiced by Michelle Fleischer and Tom Desrocher. The show played at the the Neil Simon (formerly the Alvin), the same venue where Lucille Ballâs name was dropped in Bells Are Ringing and Ball made her only Broadway appearance in 1960âČs Wildcat. When Ball suddenly died in 1989, news reporters stood outside the theatre, which still displayed the marquee for âSenator Joeâ! Â
I Loved Lucy is a play by Lee Tannen, based on his 2001 book of the same title about his friendship with Lucille Ball. The two person play (Lucy and Lee) presents their developing relationship over a series of conversations and backgammon games during the last years of her life.Â
The play has had numerous productions, including New York City and London, where it starred Sandra Dickinson as Ball and Matthew Scott as Lee. Tannen has also played himself in some productions.Â
An Evening With Lucille Ball: Thank You for Asking is a one woman show starring Suzanne LaRusch as Lucy, written and directed by Lucie Arnaz. It is structured after a series of real-life Q&As and seminars Lucille Ball conducted in the 1970s, enhanced with flashbacks to earlier periods in the actress's astonishing career and silent home movies. LaRusch was originally a strolling Lucy impersonator at Universal Studios who parlayed her uncanny imitation into this unique âsanctionedâ show as well as playing âLucyâ in the 1997 feature film Timecop.Â
Lucy Loves Desi: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Sitcom is a staged radio play produced by L.A. Theatre Works from a script by Gregg Oppenheimer, son of âI Love Lucyâ creator Jess Oppenheimer. Â
Originally an audio play, the show has since been staged and toured. Six performers play Lucy, Desi, Jess Oppenheimer, and the other central figures responsible for the launch of the series. The show employs projections and music.Â
The Cuban and the Redhead is a musical by Robert Bartley and Danny Whitman deals with the tumultuous relationship of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and the creation of the television show that was their legacy. Â
The musical has had numerous readings and regional productions.Â
I Love Lucy: Live On Stage is a theatrical presentation of âI Love Lucyâ scripts staged by Rick Sparks.Â
The show has toured extensively in the USA and Canada. The settings, costumes, and wardrobe contribute to bringing the television program vividly to life.Â
The Cher Show (2017) is a jukebox musical with a book by Rick Elice that tells the story of the life and career of Cher, using songs that she performed throughout her career. The part of Cher is played by three actresses. One actress (originally Emily Skinner) plays Cherâs mother Georgia Holt, and Lucille Ball. Holt was a background performer on âI Love Lucyâ and âThe Lucy Show.â Â
Everybody Loves Lucy by Elise McCann and Richard Carroll. In the cabaret show Francine Cain brings Lucille Ball to life, revealing the woman behind the image. As well as playing Ball, Cain also plays Edie, an amalgam of the women who watched âI Love Lucyâ in the 1950s.
SIdekicked by Kim Powers is a one-woman about Vivian Vance. Set on March 2, 1960, Vance is about to turn herself into Ethel Mertz, America's most beloved side kick, for the final time. Although Lucille Ball is not represented on stage, she is the center of Vanceâs world at the time.Â
The play has had several regional productions, including at Cape May Stage (NJ) where Sally Mayes (above) played Vance.Â
Love! Valour! Compassion! (1994) by Terrence McNally is a play about a group of gay friends that escape to a lakeside house. The character of Buzz (originally Nathan Lane) tells the audience that he owes his very existence to Lucille Ball. In the 1997 film version, Buzz was played by Jason Alexander.Â
Corpus Christi (1997) by Terrence McNally is a modern retelling of the story of Jesus' birth, ministry, and death. McNally mentions Lucille Ball in a scene between Joshua (the Jesus prototype) and a room service waiter.Â
Bring it On: The Musical (2011) is a musical with music by Tom Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda, lyrics by Amanda Green and Miranda, and book by Jeff Whitty loosely based on the 2000 film of the same name. It focuses on the competitive world of cheerleading and over-the-top team rivalries. Â During the song "I Got You" Lucy and Desi are mentioned. The song was performed during the televised Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving Day 2012. Â

7 Handgun Upgrades You Should Make Immediately
When you buy a new product, you usually like to use it before you make any changes. Firearms can be a little different. We all have our preferences, but the gun community tends to recommend a few upgrades, mods, or accessories as âmandatory.â
From Glock accessories like larger magazine release buttons to grips for your Sig for improved handling, some accessories can immediately improve your experience with your new gun. Here are a few to strongly consider that can take your new handgun to the next level. Crisp Trigger Some Glocks are notorious for having mushy triggers, while other handguns might not have the crisp break you like. Regardless, replacing the trigger is an easy way to instantly improve your handgun, and youâll notice this upgrade with every shot you fire.
Lighter Trigger Connector Glockâs are extremely modular so itâs easy to find upgraded Glock parts for basically every component. One area worth upgrading is the trigger connector. They can lower the triggerâs pull weight, making it easier to fire off quick shots in succession. If youâre going to replace the trigger already, itâs worth upgrading the connector while youâre at it. Textured Grip Grips are a point of contention in handguns, but most people arenât fans of stock grips. It comes down to personal preference, and luckily itâs easy to add a new texture to your grip. You can find textured grip stickers that can improve your handling, but you can also find parts that will replace the entire grip. A SIG P365 grip module, for example, replaces the stock Sig grip with one that has a Cerakote coating and stippled grip texture. It enhances performance and durability while giving your Sig a new custom look.
Bigger Slide Release From 1911s to Glocks, slide releases could and should be bigger for easier manipulation. Thankfully there are tons of upgrades for this part, making it easier to rack the slide back into position. This is especially useful if you use gloves at the range or during a competition, as it can be tricky to hit a small slide release while wearing gloves. Larger Mag Release Button Like the slide release, a larger magazine release makes it easier to hit the button and dump the mag. It is also much easier to hit while wearing gloves during winter range days or competitions. While not an absolutely vital upgrade, itâs hard to go back to a stock mag release once youâve tried a larger, upgraded version. Mag Extenders Mag extenders replace the floor plate of a magazine and often serve four purposes. First, they help give your hand more space to grip, which can be a game-changer for subcompact handguns. Second, some are designed for additional capacity, so you can carry a few more rounds in each magazine. Third, they generally add weight, which helps reduce muzzle flip while firing. Fourth, some feature creative cuts, adding to the aesthetics of your pistol. Better Iron Sights Stock iron sights on many handguns are functional but can leave a lot to be desired. You might want to replace them with night sights, which add dots that glow to make it easier to see the sight posts. You can go further and add a red dot or other optics, but these often involve modding the gun with an optic plate or having custom machining performed on your slide. Switching out the iron sights is a much quicker and less-involved upgrade. About NDZ Performance Based in Cheshire, Connecticut, NDZ Performance is an industry leader in firearms accessories. Ron Howardâa name synonymous with Hollywood greatness! Whether it's his early days as Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show or his directorial triumphs in films like Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind, Howard has cemented his legacy in the entertainment industry. But what about Ron Howard's net worth? How has this multi-talented actor, director, and producer accumulated his wealth over decades in showbiz? Let's dive in to explore the journey of Ron Howard's financial empire and how he built his staggering net worth.
The Humble Beginnings of a Future Hollywood Mogul
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of Ron Howard's net worth, it's important to understand where it all began. Ron Howard started as a child actor, starring in The Andy Griffith Show in the 1960s. As Opie, he won the hearts of millions, but few could have predicted the meteoric rise that lay ahead.
From Child Star to Blockbuster Director
What sets Ron Howard apart from many child stars is his seamless transition into adulthood. He didn't just fade into obscurityâhe reinvented himself as a powerhouse director. By the late '70s and early '80s, Howard had left his mark behind the camera, directing fan-favorites like Splash and Cocoon. These films werenât just box-office hitsâthey contributed significantly to building Ron Howardâs net worth.
Climbing the Hollywood Ladder
Success didnât come overnight, but when it did, it was huge! Howard's directorial efforts paid off handsomely, as he took on more complex and award-winning projects. Films like Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind didnât just earn accolades; they also raked in millions at the box office. And with each successful project, Ron Howardâs net worth soared higher and higher.
Breaking Down Ron Howard's Financial Empire
So, how does Ron Howard's net worth break down? Let's have a look at some of the key sources contributing to his wealth:
Film Directing: Howard has directed numerous box-office blockbusters. Films like Apollo 13 ($355 million worldwide) and The Da Vinci Code ($760 million worldwide) have made significant contributions to his fortune.
Production Work: In 1986, Ron Howard co-founded Imagine Entertainment, a production company responsible for hits like Arrested Development, 24, and Friday Night Lights. This move alone has dramatically increased his net worth.
Acting Career: Though primarily known for his directing, Howard hasnât left acting behind completely. His roles in TV shows and movies also provide a consistent revenue stream.
Key Figures and Assets
Wondering how much Ron Howard's net worth is? Various sources estimate that it hovers around $200 million. Hereâs a breakdown of how his assets contribute to this:
Real Estate: Howard owns several luxury properties, including a $27.5 million estate in Connecticut and a Manhattan apartment.

What Keeps Ron Howardâs Net Worth Growing?
While many in Hollywood struggle to maintain their fortune, Ron Howard's net worth continues to grow. How? For one, heâs not just sitting back and enjoying the fruits of his labor. Howard is an active player in the film industry, constantly taking on new projects and exploring innovative ways to bring stories to life. Whether it's producing, directing, or even narrating (Arrested Development, anyone?), heâs always up to something exciting.
The Power of Imagine Entertainment
Co-founding Imagine Entertainment was a game-changer for Howard. The production company produces a steady stream of successful films and TV shows, ensuring a constant income flow. It's a big reason why Ron Howard's net worth keeps climbing.
Awards and Accolades
Ron Howard isn't just wealthy; he's also highly respected. His mantle must be overflowing with awards! Here are a few notable ones:
Academy Award for Best Director for A Beautiful Mind
Primetime Emmy Awards for Arrested Development and From the Earth to the Moon
These achievements have not only elevated his status but have also boosted his earning potential.
Ron Howard's Net Worth Compared to Other Directors
When you think of directors like Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, or Quentin Tarantino, it's natural to wonder how Ron Howard stacks up financially. While his $200 million net worth might seem modest compared to Spielberg's billions, Howard is still one of the wealthiest directors in Hollywood. After all, how many people can claim to have a net worth in the nine-figure range?
What Does the Future Hold for Ron Howard?
With his talent, experience, and relentless work ethic, thereâs no doubt Ron Howard will continue to grow his wealth. Upcoming projects, collaborations, and his production company all indicate that his financial empire is far from shrinking. Itâs safe to say that Ron Howardâs net worth will continue to flourish for years to come.
Conclusion
Ron Howard's net worth isn't just the result of luck or being in the right place at the right time. It's the culmination of decades of hard work, dedication, and smart business decisions. From his early days as a child actor to his current status as one of Hollywoodâs most respected directors, Howard has consistently reinvented himself, ensuring that his careerâand his fortuneâremain in top shape.

Bethenny's Shocking Silence: No Talk with Andy Cohen! đź
Bethenny Frankel Strikes Back: The Reality Reckoning Rumble! So there's Bethenny Frankel, strutting back onto the stage like she's the star of her own reality show revival. She's got her microphone, her attitude, and a whole lot of drama to unpack. It's like watching a tornado in high heels. đȘïž You see, Bethenny's been in the news lately for stirring up a three-part podcast saga with Raquel Leviss. It's like they're the dynamic duo of digital dialogues. And let me tell you, things got wilder than a raccoon rummaging through a dumpster. Bethenny, the former Real Housewives of New York City diva, started her podcast with the kind of gusto that would make a motivational speaker jealous. "What a whirlwind," she begins, as if she's just ridden an emotional roller coaster fueled by rumors, press articles, and internet-breaking shenanigans. Frankly, I'd be more concerned about my WiFi if I were her. đĄ Apparently, Raquel Leviss is in the mix too, and she's fresh from a 90-day mental health retreat. You know, the kind of place where you go to escape reality TV drama and contemplate your life choices. Raquel's affair with Tom Sandoval had the internet buzzing like a caffeinated beehive, and now she's here to set the record straight. At least, that's what Bethenny hopes. Now, picture Bethenny, a self-proclaimed reality TV guru, confessing that she didn't even binge-watch Vanderpump Rules before interviewing Raquel. It's like going to a potluck without trying the potato salad you brought. The fans weren't having it. They accused Bethenny of riding the trauma train to ratings-town. đđż But wait, there's more! Bethenny's got thoughts about the entertainment industry's systemic issues. She's not just throwing shade at Andy Cohen and Bravo. No, this is about as deep as a rabbit hole goes. It's like she's unraveling the red carpet itself. And what's that? Bethenny is apparently a hypocrite too? She once had a bright idea about a show for Connecticut moms. Bravo was supposed to be the star of the show, but it turns out Bethenny decided to bail faster than you can say "reality reckoning." It seems that idea wasn't well thought out. You know, like trying to use a spaghetti strainer as a hat. Oh, but don't you dare forget that Bethenny was once a contestant on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. Yes, you heard right. Before she was Housewife Supreme, she was vying for Martha's approval. It's like finding out your neighbor used to be a professional juggler. But hold onto your skepticism hats, folks, because Bethenny claims she was never exploited. Nope, not a smidgen. She was the rainmaker, the money-spinner, the reality royalty calling the shots. It's like she was handing out life advice while sipping champagne on a golden throne. Now, let's talk cash. Did Bethenny pay Raquel for the podcast? Did she exploit her for ratings? Did they haggle over a contract while comparing their favorite reality TV moments? Who knows? Bethenny's giving a masterclass in intrigue and raising more questions than a math test without numbers. In the end, Bethenny's podcast is like a roller coaster that's missing a few loops and maybe a safety harness. The drama, the claims, the accusationsâit's all part of the wild ride. And just like that, Bethenny's reality TV saga continues, leaving us all wondering if we'll ever truly understand the truth behind the glamor and gossip. đąđ€# Bethenny Frankel Strikes Back: The Reality Reckoning Rumble! And just like that, Bethenny's reality TV saga continues, leaving us all wondering if we'll ever truly understand the truth behind the glamor and gossip. đąđ€ Read the full article

12ft.io might not work but my rampant overuse of script and ad blockers does:
A couple of years ago Jake Morgan, a farmer who lives just outside Raleigh, in North Carolina, realised he needed a new vehicle to get around his property. At first he was looking at âside-by-sidesââa sort of off-road utility vehicle. But watching a review on YouTube of one that costs around $30,000 made by John Deere, he saw a comment that said something like âWhy donât you just get a minitruck instead?â That is, a tiny four-wheel drive pickup truck, sometimes known as a âKeiâ truck, mostly made in Japan to take advantage of laws there which tax smaller vehicles less.
Intrigued, Mr Morgan started researching. Within a few months, he drove to Newport, Virginia to pick up a 1997 Honda Acty, having spent a total of just $2,000 on importing it. He was delighted. Not only was it âdirt cheapâ, but the Acty is less than five feet wide, and so can get into tight spaces a normal pickup cannot, like Mr Morganâs barn. And unlike a side-by-side, it can also be driven legally on local roads. âTheyâre amazingly useful,â he says. Not long after importing his first, he sold it and bought another. The new one is even betterâit has air-conditioning and a button which activates a dumper.
Kei trucks were never intended for sale in America. Most are right-hand drive, and they do not always have airbags or other safety features required in new cars. The bulk are imported under a rule that allows non-compliant vehicles that are older than 25 years to be brought into America, a carve-out intended originally for collectible vintage cars, although a few specialist dealers import newer ones too, for sale as off-road vehicles. They fill a niche American manufacturers are failing to.
Todd Gatto, one of the owners of hvny Imports, a firm in Goshen, New York, says that he has sold over 300 to local businesses in the past few years. âWe bought five of them to start, and we sold them all within seven days,â he says. Buyers include farmers, but also building contractors, a deli and Legoland, the theme park. âA lot of commercial businesses see the use of these over an $85,000 F250,â he says (the F250 is an enormous pickup truck sold by Ford).
Unlike new vehicles with onboard computers and complicated proprietary parts, Kei trucks are easy to modify and repair. In northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, people fit them out with tracks to drive on ice in winter. Some owners are almost cultish. âMotoCheezâ, a mechanic from Connecticut, says his YouTube channelâs popularity soared after he started featuring his Kei truck.
As the demand grows, some worry that the loopholes that allow their import and use might be closed. Dealers increasingly report trouble getting the vehicles registered for road use, particularly in north-eastern states. Safety concerns are part of the reason. Mr Morgan admits his would be a âdeath trapâ on a busy highway. But some fans suspect an auto-industry stitch-up to keep out cheap Japanese competition. If so, it would not be the first time.

"OcTourber"
By now, we can see how much I love concerts and theater, since I write about it every week. Growing up in New York exposed me to so many artists and a variety of genres. Now that I live in Florida, I donât find it as easy to enrich myself as not as many artists come to my area, as well as live theater. Having New York City down the road from me my entire childhood really spoiled me into my adult life. So, thereâs only one way for me to see my favorite artists, and that is to travel as much as I can to different places to see them. One of my favorite memories ever is when me and my friends went âon tourâ in October of 2021.
2020 was a rough year for absolutely everyone. With COVID running rampant around the entire world, almost every aspect of life was put on hold. This was especially true for the entertainment industry. With no live events happening in person, artists had to find ways to perform and entertain their audiences virtually. That was a great distraction from the struggles of reality during such a dark and sad time for the entire world. With that, many tours and shows were rescheduled for 2021. For me, all of my concerts for the year just happened to be rescheduled to the same exact month. This meant I would spend the entire month traveling all around the country, and that was perfect for me. It was all within this month that I would see Harry Styles, Greta Van Fleet, and the Jonas Brothers. But, it wasnât just one concert each. I would end up seeing 12 concerts in that one month, and it was one of the best months of my life.
All of my friends know me as the one who always has a trip planned with a concert hidden in there somewhere. It is my favorite escape from reality and it is also something I want to pursue as a career. When my friends and I found out how many shows we would be seeing that month, we were ecstatic and immediately started planning our routes from place to place and booking all of our stays. Unlike a lot of people, we love the entire planning process, traveling process, and everything that comes with it. We see it all as another adventure and are very aware of how lucky we are that we get to do it. We decided to call this trip âOcTOURberâ because we would be traveling on tour with our favorite artists for the whole month of October. The âtourâ for us started in New York City where we saw Harry Styles two nights in a row. Being in the pit at a Harry concert is an out of body experience and everyone should have that opportunity atleast once in their lifetime. From there, we went back to Florida to see Harry three more times that week (Can you tell we are big fans?).Â
The next week, we went to three Jonas Brothers concerts in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, and back to New York again. The New York show was extremely necessary as my mom is a huge Jonas Brothers fan. I got the boy band obsession from my mom. My mom was always at my Jonas Brothers concerts since I was 8 years old, so it wouldnât have felt right if she wasnât at atleast one of my Jonas shows. Â
The last week of October was by far the craziest. We ended up traveling from Orlando, FL to Los Angeles, CA to Connecticut to New York City all within the week. In Los Angeles, I got to see one of my favorite bands, Greta Van Fleet, for the first time ever. This was a surreal experience because we were in the very front row and got to interact with the band so much. We did two of their shows in LA and also got to explore the area a bunch during the few days we were there. From there, we traveled to Connecticut and New York where we saw Harry three more times. The last show was a super special one because it was âHarryweenâ where everyone, including Harry, dressed up for the special occasion. Having that show as the last one of âOcTourberâ was super special and it was a great memory for me and my friends.
Having this experience was once in a lifetime. It is another reason why I want to have a career in the live music industry. Getting to travel and see artists live is my absolutely favorite thing in the world. Having a career within that hobby would be the most amazing opportunity for me. The experience taught me to work as hard as I can to succeed and get to the point where I want to be in the industry.Â
