For the first time in the history of any country, 21 unnamed islands were named after the bravest heroes of the Nation by the Modi Govt. Indian Govt named 21 unnamed islands of Andaman & Nicobar islands after our 21 Param Vir Chakras awardees. Finally, India respects true heroes instead of one family which named everything in their name. #andmannikobar #andmannicobarislands #andmannikobardiaries🐚🐙🐠🏝🏄🏊 #pmo #amitshah #narendramodi #indianisland #renameisland # https://www.instagram.com/p/CnwtJ9cy5Pq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

How Lakshadweep's Unique Postal System Works
Tumblr media
Lakshadweep, the archipelago of stunning coral islands nestled in the Arabian Sea, boasts a postal system as unique as its scenic beauty.
Despite being one of India's smallest union territories, Lakshadweep's postal service plays a vital role in connecting its remote communities with the mainland and the world beyond.
At the heart of Lakshadweep's postal system is its network of post offices strategically positioned across the islands. These post offices serve as lifelines, facilitating communication and commerce in a region where geographical isolation presents significant challenges.
From the bustling post office in Kavaratti, the capital, to the quaint branches in remote atolls like Minicoy and Kalpeni, each plays a crucial role in the functioning of the archipelago's postal network.
One of the most fascinating aspects of Lakshadweep's postal service is its reliance on traditional methods of mail delivery. With limited road infrastructure and vast stretches of ocean separating the islands, couriers often rely on boats and ferries to transport mail between destinations.
This age-old mode of transportation not only adds to the charm of the postal system but also underscores the resilience and adaptability of the islanders.
Despite its reliance on traditional methods, Lakshadweep's postal system is not immune to modernization. In recent years, initiatives such as the introduction of postal savings schemes and the adoption of technology for tracking and tracing mail have helped enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
Additionally, partnerships with private courier companies have further expanded the reach of the postal network, ensuring that even the most remote corners of the archipelago are connected to the outside world.
In essence, Lakshadweep's unique postal system is a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of its people. Against the backdrop of turquoise waters and swaying palms, the humble post office stands as a beacon of connectivity, bridging the gap between island life and the global community.
As the archipelago continues to evolve, one thing remains certain – the postal service will continue to play a vital role in shaping the social and economic fabric of Lakshadweep. At GoL Courier, we are more than just a courier service; we are the embodiment of a vision that aims to transform the way parcels are delivered to the enchanting islands of Lakshadweep. As pioneers in this domain, we take pride in being the first and foremost courier service established in Kochi with a singular focus on connecting the people of Lakshadweep to the mainland with unmatched efficiency and convenience.

North Sentinel Island:Uncontacted  Fierce tribe on Andman Nicobar
Tumblr media
The tide has gone down over the reef. I walk round the world. There is great wind and rain.
 –  Great Andamanese song, in The Andaman Islanders, 1922
The islanders are in the news since the Murder of John Allen Chau, 26, a self-described “adventurer” from Vancouver, Washington, was struggled to convert isolated and uncontacted tribe to Christianity, trespassed on North Sentinel Island to do so.
As reports, Allan did not grant permission from Indian authorities before embarking, Making his trip illegal.
No one exactly knows how long sentinels tribe have lived there, but some old studies indicate that around ten thousand ago this tribe may have come from Africa.
The Sentenelese are ardent archer who have developed fearsome reputation.
The director of a National Geographic documentary about the Andamans was wounded by a spear flung at him as he filmed the Sentinelese from a boat in 1974. Even today, the iconic images of warriors prancing with bows and arrows along the island’s white-sand beaches taken on that expedition by National Geographic photographer Raghubir Singh remain a testament to tribe’s defiance of the outside world.
It is believed that the  population on Island is 80 to 150 people and Sentinelese speak a language unlike any other in the region, live in huts with slanted roofs, build narrow outrigger canoes to get around, and carry bows and arrows, and iron-tipped spears. They are hunter-gatherers and live off the island’s bounty, along with fishing and harvesting crabs.
