A lake with no name, north of Porvenir and the 3 large lakes - Laguna de Los Cisnes, Laguna Verde and Laguna Serrano. I spent a night and a full day here where over 200 Coscoroba Swans were on the lake. A couple of foxes went about their business not bothered about me. Late afternoon gaucho Eduardo Ojeda invited me to stay in his rancho for the night. With a fire roaring in the wood stove, we chatted over some maté (a traditional type of tea) and then coffee. A massive dinner with lambs meat was up next, Eduardo treating me all the time like an old friend. Showing off some of his handiwork, he pulled over the stirrups he’s finishing off. Once again, I was treated to the extreme friendliness and hospitality of the gauchos living out in the remote places.
