Can I just say, the fact that the high lords don’t all wear generic crowns in their colors, but it actually ties to their courts makes me happy?and they probably all have quite a few different themed ones?
Tamlin with his burnished gold laurel leaf crown at the wedding that was a courtly version of the calanmai crown he probably dawns each year? And his tithe crown is so suited to more strict moments with its representation of wealth and stability?
Tarquin with his silver cresting waves and blue gemstones for a casual night out on the town? As asymmetrically stunning as the very waters he connects his court to, the blues of the stones glinting with white and green and the depths of the very ocean hidden by the brash, crashing beauty created by the surface?
Helions spiked gold crown as vicious and pointed yet beautiful and picturesque as the suns rays? As warm in color as his skin yet simple and statement making in it power just like helion himself- not needing much adornment to radiate the strength, beauty and deadly power and wicked intelligence he holds?
Rhys has a raven feather crown which makes me wonder if previous highlords of night weren’t just serpentile like the creatures of the hewn city but dark winged and raven featured in some way? (And Feyres crown - complimentary to Rhys isn’t just a newly made item, it existed in tandem with his for previous ladies of night I’m assuming so it ties to the court that way as well?)
Autumn court with its mixture of Medieval English and conqueror era Spanish style in my head? With traditional red and green stones highlighted the most and silver and gold alike, crosses and points to their headwear? Very formal and structured, not just to denote their position, but to reinforce tradition, wealth, class structures, very inline with what I’d assume of the autumn courts viciousness mentioned in the books? Beautiful but vicious.
Winter court with near white shining metals, carved glass and crystal bases for ice diamonds; blue, gray, & frosty fogged stones? Dark blues and wicked gnarled features representing barren branches and shards of ice????
Dawn court with its sweeping elegance and love of beautiful embellishments and pension for color? The people are noted to be largely from Xian as noted by SJM and I always imagine dawn court to be a beautiful mix of Indian and Chinese culture, and the jewelry reflects it, beautifully Intrically carved warm toned metals that depict stories or symbolism entertwined with the culture? Stoned used abundantly yet they’re never garish? They only enhance and bring out the beauty of the crowns and reflect the cultures within the court itself?
(Like I’d love to dive deeper into it and maybe make or paint the crowns one day but that’s a different story)
That’s it that’s the post grammar be darned.

Halloween party “Road to Bangalore”
“What do you say I go as an Indian prince?” Clive rolled his eyes. His roommate Parker was a real narcissist. In love with himself to the tips of his toes. Parker only knew about lectures and the library from hearsay. He was actually only to be found in the gym and at cosmetics. The fact that he wasn't collecting any credits for his bachelor's degree? Never mind. If need be, his old man would simply buy him university. Parker's parents were supposedly immensely rich. No wonder Parker could buy anything. The jewels he was adorned with at the Helloween party were probably all real. Freshly bought. Or from his mother's jewelry box, who had once been a famous Hollywood diva. The pigeon egg-sized red ruby that adorned Parker's turban was said to be possessed by an even more powerful curse than the Hope Diamond. Allegedly, unlike its previous owners, it had survived the All Saints' quake in Lisbon, the sinking of the Lusitania, the crash of the Hindenburg and the Great Chicago Fire. Parker didn't care about such stories. He was all about the ahhs and ahhs when he walked into the room. Luckily for him, in 1988 there were no discussions about cultural appropriation and the like. Tonight, all that mattered was glitz and glamor. And that Parker had sex at the end of the evening. Clive knew the game. Once again, no one would be good enough for his roommate. And in the end he would have to fuck him.
Tumblr media
Of course, the oohs and ahhs Parker had expected were there. He was the star of the party. The photographer who took pictures of the guests was almost exclusively busy taking pictures of Parker with other guests. Clive, who wore a relatively inconspicuous Tarzan costume, was virtually invisible despite his athletic body. He knew that. Next to Parker, everyone else was invisible unless they stood directly in the radiant light that surrounded Parker. And Clive only stood in this light for a few seconds at a time when he was allowed to bring Parker a drink. Parker's mood got worse and worse. On the one hand because he was getting drunker and drunker. And when he was drunk, he got in a bad mood. And on the other hand, because no one met his high standards as a stud for the night. And the drunker he was, the higher his standards became.
It was 2:00 a.m. when Clive took the initiative. It was time to go home. Parker was drunk and becoming increasingly obnoxious. Clive pushed his way through the equally inebriated crowd to the hall phone and called a cab. The lady at the taxi company promised that a car would be there in ten minutes. Clive pulled the slurring Parker out of a group of admirers, put his coat on him and walked him outside. It was chilly. Hopefully that'll sober him up a bit before sex, Clive thought to himself as he lit a cigarette. Unfortunately, the taxi arrived too Until he started snoring. Oh shit, Clive thought. Parker was a big guy. He wouldn't be able to get him up the stairs by himself. Again, he made eye contact with the driver. The driver winked. They understood each other without words.
They had laboriously taken Parker to their room and laid him on his bed. They had taken off his costume. Clive asked if the cab driver could put the costume on. He would like to see it on a real Indian. His Tarzan loincloth lifted with his boner. The Indian cab driver looked stunning. They kissed passionately. The Indian prince turned his back on Clive. They understood each other again without words. A little later, the tinkling of jewelry, moans, the slap of sweaty skin on sweaty skin and the snoring of Parker could be heard. After Clive and the cab driver collapsed exhausted on the bed and Clive massaged the cum that had spurted onto the Indian chest into his chest hair, he thought why he didn't have a normal roommate. And why Parker, this arrogant creep, didn't finally stop living in a perpetual party, in a fantasy world. In a just world, Parker would work hard for a living. And Clive would share a room in the student dormitory with the cute Indian cab driver.
Tumblr media
Parker Kumar's parents had been fans of a TV series called “Parker Lewis” in the 1980s. He kept thinking to himself what a silly first name Parker was. It didn't matter, he had been given the nickname “Balu” in the gym at some point and he got through life with that name. In Bangalore, he had graduated with honors. If only he had stayed there. He could certainly have had a better career than becoming a team leader on the helpdesk here. A shitty job! And because he was the only one with a company cell phone, he had to work everywhere and at all times. He had actually just been on his way to the gym. The only place he wanted to be Baloo the bear. But one of those dumbass tie-wearers had been too stupid again to install an update. So he had called Baloo. And Baloo was there. Tonight he had dreamt that he was a stone-rich Indian prince. He sighed… The only filthy rich Indian prince he knew was Clive's husband, the CEO of the company. Well, at least he had been allowed to suck both of their cocks before. And since then, at least he'd had an iPhone as his work phone.

The Science of it All
High School Luke and OC
Tumblr media
Summary: Luke follows Divya on Instagram and they set up a time for her to come over and tutor him.
Warnings: Luke being Luke and cursing.
Author’s Note: WAHH! Hey guys! So I actually made this to as an actual story rather than have it as a blurb or a one shot. I think you’ll enjoy this!
—————————————————————————
Chapter 2:
Luke’s POV
I stare at her instagram profile while eating some chicken and rice Mom made in the cafeteria with Ethan, Mark, Rutger, Duke, and some girls.
From what I get from her profile, her full name is Divya Manjumuthu, Indian American, and she’s also a junior like me. I click on a recent post of her and probably a friend. She’s wearing a dark blue two set dress and her friend wearing the same thing in green, the caption saying: your two princesses entered the room.
I will admit that she is attractive in that dress and her jewelry
“Luke? Luke!” Mark yells. “You good man?”
“Uh yeah. Sorry, have a lot on my plate I guess.” I answer.
“Is this about how you’re gonna make up work you missed in APES?” Ethan asks. “What are you gonna do? You obviously can’t drop now, it’s too late.”
“No shit Ethan. Renaldi set me up with a girl to help me catch up with the work.” I reply, rolling my eyes.
“Luke Hughes! My man!” Rutger says and slaps my shoulder, roaring with laughter.
“Not like that! I didn’t say anything! She just told me that Divya’s the one to help me because she’s apparently really smart and knows shit.” I explained.
“We all know how this is gonna go.” Duke says and snatches my phone from my hand.
“Hey-“
Duke clicks the follow button before giving my phone back to me.
“Dude!” I yell.
Just then, Amanda, my girlfriend, walks right behind me and wraps her arms around me.
“Hey babe.” She said.
“Hey.”
“Oh my god, get a room.” Ethan says, throwing a French fry at me.
“Oh grow up.” I retorted.
If boredom was illegal, I’d be serving ten life sentences.
Because there is no way people find translating random and bloody Latin stories into English for fun.
But if you’re Mr. Wilson who looks like he doesn’t have a life, you would find it therapeutic.
It’s been 20 minutes of translating some story about some workers building some arch and I want to bash my head against a wall.
I sneak my phone out and I open instagram to see I have one new unopened DM. I open it and it’s a message from Divya that’s short and to the point.
divya.manjumuthuu: when r u free
I look up to the see the teacher on his computer typing away before I sent a message.
lhughes_06: I’m free today at 5
I put my phone under my leg and I pretend like I was doing translations until I feel my phone vibrate. I quickly take it out and Divya responded to my message.
divya.manjumuthuu: kk.
divya.manjumuthuu: my house or yours??
lhughes_06: mine
divya.manjumuthuu: kk. send me ur address.
I send her my address before putting my phone away and pretending to do work.
I’m gonna bash my fucking head if I do this one more time.

Oh hey guess what you wouldn't believe it but it's true! A new outfit made within a year? No way!
Yes way. I had the concept sketch lying around since last summer. Originally, the design was intended for Fadiyyeh, the redguard showcasing my Dragonstar armor. I wanted it to be a more Indian inspired witchy dress with more colours, decorative stitching, and jewelry everywhere. But her story was told and the Dragonstar armor project kinda drained me. So I decided to turn it into somewhat of an elegant gothic dress with coarse medieval armor parts! You know I can't resist adding historical armor to everything I make.
So here it is. A black brocade dress with a mix of 14th and 15th century armor (I did my research) and modern(ish) jewelry and boots. The gauntlets sport fake nails for extra goth. All in all, a pretty good mid-late game dress for a mage up to no good!
In hindsight, I should have added more lace pretty much everywhere, as the design is pretty simple at this point. Then again, that allows for more customization with accessories from other mods, in a similar vein to the Brigandine set. Texture wise, though, the dress is a bit boring. It's just the single fabric texture. But it works, I guess, and all the other parts look amazing so it evens out. This outfit was also my first venue into baking normal maps from high poly models instead of manually painting them. I think it turned out especially nicely on the boots and the gauntlets. I hope you think so too.
The armor is female only. It has no quest. As much as I want to give my items a place in the world, it seemed like an effort spent in vain. Plus, I had no ideas I liked for this dress. It's just something people wear now, I guess. The skirt on the dress will be physics enabled. I'm also experimenting with that now, spooky stuff.
This dress will be released on the Nexus somewhere next week. I have the weight painting and BHUNP sliders done, so all that's left is the inventory models, the crafting recipes, and tweaking the physics.
Oh yeah. I moved to SE because of data loss somewhere last May. This means this outfit will be SE only. I still have the mesh without physics, so technically I could make an LE conversion. Will that be worth it? If literally one person asks me in DMs I will do it, bet.
I already got plenty ideas for my next project. I'll have to focus on other things after this, but I'll make sure to keep you guys updated. I'm kinda thinking of remaking the Squire's plate...
Till the next one!

I'm so sad dude, we don't have any Indian aesthetics at all. I saw many and it's like "desi coquette" and "desi mermaidcore" like it's js the desi version of some western aesthetic. Why can't we have our own aesthetics? I have seen some religion/region based aesthetics, but idk, it js feels weird.
We do have desi core, but it's like...the Indian aesthetic as a whole. That's it.
LET'S JUST MAKE INDIAN AESTHETICS DAMMIT WE HAVE SO MUCH VARIETY ON JEWELRY AND FASHION-
Ok first I'm sorry but I'll disagree on desi core being the Indian aesthetic as a whole cuz what IS India as a whole?? Or what is desi??
But frrrr dude like we need some cool cool ACTUAL aesthetic that are native to India
Ngl I like all the aesthetics we have buuuttt let's think of something else amiright???
Again religion based aesthetics are also kinda wonky cuz everything practices the same religion differently in different regions.
I think we can swap dark academia for idk.... Gurukul aesthetic?? It would be minimalist and pretty cute ngl
Cause making dark academia in a desi version makes no fucking sense because we never had that type of high society academias here
Ig we should focus more on the folktales than on religion... Like imagine an aesthetic dedicated to Nale Baa or someone... Won't that be SO cool???
We can go historical too... Ancient Indian? Mahajanapadas? Mughal era? Pre colonization? Post colonization? But those are pretty inconvenience for day to day life tbh... Like some random people in the street would stare at you weird
Also there is something called balletcore I think maybe we can have Kathakcore or something....?
And and bollywood core is so weird too cuz that's just some selected Karan Johar movies and some other movies that were romantic hits at that times...
India is already so diverse like pick something and make aesthetics lol

Driving down to Cali for Darker Waves this weekend. Figured out my outfit for it. Hair is up for the weekend and my ass is accessorized to the high heavens with everything but the kitchen sink.
If I were to breakdown all the outfit pieces...
- fishnets from spirit halloween
- choker, silver layered necklaces, and the 4 silver bracelets that are closed loop are from an Indian brand that does silver toned brass jewelry. Beta girl, takes a while to arrive, but the prices for each piece are very affordable ($8-$20 USD per piece plus shipping)
- butterfly necklace is holeylink, just got it recently at my local convention where they were vending.
- butterfly hair clips were from a local art event.
- silver and black layered necklaces were diy from a strand of black beads from the philippines and a necklace I got in Oregon years ago.
- Black beaded necklaces were either diy or thrifted. Got a bracelet from Goodwill that was pretty much just long rows of small black seed beeds. Harvested that and made necklaces out of those pieces. A different necklace from savers had 6 long knotted strands of beads, but the closure was broken, so I just harvested the beads.
- then the rest of the jewelry is literally also just thrifted.
- velvet shirt from buffalo exchange because i couldnt help myself and it's silk and rayon velvet not polyester velvet.
- pants from taobao, they're hanfu reproduction pants. Made for laborers to wear, but I like how much freedom of movement they give me. No elastic in it, so it has to be pleated and belted to fit.
- top belt from etsy.
- middle belt with the two o rings was tablet woven by me with cotton and silk crochet thread.
- bottom belt thrifted.
- spider web belt loop chains were made by me
- black bead belt chain was made from the thrifted beaded necklace mentioned earlier.
- the rings are stainless steel and from the ren faire
Anyway, can't wait to see all the bands coming to Darker Waves. and who else in my local scene is driving down for it.

The sanctuary of Elephanta, Decan, 6th century
This shrine dates from the VIth century, built on a small island in Mumbai Bay. It is one of the most beautiful examples of Indian rock sculpture with a peak of decorations and expressiveness.
The iconographic program is damaged, but remains complete and is a true mythological synthesis of the god Shiva featured in several myths
It is a cruciform sanctuary which opens on 3 ends decorated with porches with panels and is built around a north south and east west axis with two different and complementary centers of attraction:
- a cella which houses the pure form of Shiva: the linga
- at the very back of the wall a colossal head of the god Shiva with 3 Shivas, called maheshamurti, that is to say “the form of the great god”
This second center which stands out in the darkness : a colossal triple head of Shiva, 5 meters high. The central face has its eyes closed and gives an impression of contemplation, of meditation, it is marked by a fullness, a completeness which can be read thanks to the simplification of the volumes, the symmetry of the features
It represents the immutable balance of the god in meditation
The face on the right is a male face with a mustache: it is the terrible appearance facing a trained cobra, representing the violent, destructive aspect of the god. He wears an ascetic bun with a skull, symbolizing death, the god of asceticism, of yoga, who retires to the Himalayas
The face on the left is feminine, much more rounded, softer, facing a flower with a refined hairstyle and jewelry that recalls elegance.
This triple head which is placed at the same level as the linga. This symbolizes the two great opposite and complementary centers
- The linga : a transcendent god outside the of the world, beyond everything
- The Maheshamurti : a god acting in the world, who manifests himself, who develops in the world and is the world
We therefore have here a double cultual center with an iconic center, representing the god who acts in the world and an emotional center with the linga at the heart of the rituals.
This complementarity in the two centers symbolizes all aspects of the complex figure of Shiva who is an ambivalent god, both ascetic who withdraws from the world, but equally erotic, whose role is to conceive, who is active in the world to act against the demons
He is a destructive and savior god who resolves the tensions of opposites and proposes an overcoming of these forms of duality.

I understand there's been a lot of discourse lately regarding whether you should read classic books, but there's been little to no recommendations for beginners. Not to toot my own horn, but I thought I could help solve this problem. Due to length, I'm going to avoid including my take on the discourse. Below is a list of recommendations. Content warnings are available on StoryGraph.
Recommendations
So, you want to read a classic book but have no idea where to start. I'll start with a list of how to get books for cheap, then I'll recommend some short stories, before finally recommending full books.
Cheap books:
I'd recommend getting a library card first and foremost. This will allow you to not only take home books for free, but to download apps (Libby, Hoopla) that will loan out free ebooks.
If, like me, your local library is inaccessible (nearly all of mine are closed for renovations currently), you can use Thriftbooks.com, Barnes and Noble, Bookoutlet.com, or any other bookseller.
Mass market paperbacks are designed to be cheap, and sellers like Dover Thrift or Signet Classics are incredibly accessible. Puffin Classics are also cheap.
Most classic children's books are cheap. Anne of Green Gables, Aesop's Fables, Grimm's Fairy Tales, The Wind in the Willows, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Hobbit, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Secret Garden, Winnie the Pooh, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, A Wrinkle in Time, The Call of the Wild, many of these can be easily found and are cheap. Don't stick in this section forever though; these are children's books for a reason. This is a good starting point to get into the habit of reading, but move onto adult books as you go.
Short Stories:
Those Who Walk Away From Omelas: a perfect town has a secret. This author has also written tons of other works!
Harrison Bergeron: through the use of physical handicaps, everyone is finally equal. I love this author as well! (And before you get the wrong idea, he isn't a bigot. He's been fighting for Black, disabled, transgender, and LGBTQ rights long before it was socially acceptable.)
The Lottery: everyone in town partakes in a mysterious lottery.
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream: AI takes over the world and holds five people captive.
The Necklace: a vain woman requires that she wear the highest-quality jewelry to a gathering, and pays a high price for it. If you like plot twists, you have to read this.
The Tell-Tale Heart: a man kills another man, and tries to convince both you and himself that he is sane.
Barbie-Q: a short story about growing up Mexican in poverty, and the beauty standards American society forces on us.
Tell Them Not to Kill Me!: an old man tries to avoid being killed.
Young Goodman Brown: it's been years since I read it, but a Puritan comes across devil worship in the woods.
Books:
Many of these will be novellas, which are shorter books.
I'd also recommend reading the full works of the short story authors you like.
The Stranger: a man who seemingly has no emotions kills someone.
Metamorphosis: Gregor Samsa wakes up one day to find he has turned into a giant bug.
Animal Farm: animals seek to establish a utopia in which everyone is equal.
The Pearl: a poor man finds a pearl that can change his family's life forever. (Warning: this one is particularly graphic.)
The Death of Ivan Ilych: a man who lived a superficial life dies.
A Christmas Carol: Ebenezer Scrooge, a greedy old man, is sent to the past and future to learn from his mistakes.
Siddhartha: an Indian Brahmin leaves everything to look for meaning.
The Giver: a young boy is tasked with holding all of his society's memories.
The Outsiders: a boy and his friend who live in poverty, and who are at constant war with their rich classmates, go too far one night.
Slaughterhouse Five: prisoners of war during World War II are treated like cattle and survive the bombing of Dresden.
Hamlet: a man has to reconcile with his father's death, and his mother's remarriage to his uncle. (If Shakespeare is difficult for you, read the No Fear Shakespeare edition. You can find it for cheap.)
Feel free to read anything apart from this list, and to recommend other works. These are just works I've read and liked.

OC Deep Dive Questionnaire
Thanks for the tag @natolesims ! I love doing these.
Think I'll do my werewolf boi, Ajay this time (I did Miguel for the last one)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. What uncommon/common fear do they have?
The dude acts fearless but he has one fear and it's stink bugs. Why? Well werewolf pups like practicing their hunting on small insects and stuff that cross their path and young Ajay decided to pounce on a stink bug and had a very bad time lol
bonus pic of smol pup Ajay
Tumblr media
2. Do they have any pet peeves?
He doesn't like it when people move his stuff around. He's not organized but it works for him cause he has his weird disorganized places he keeps his things.
3. What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom?
his werewolf toy, this crystal light shaped like a moon that Sid made for him, something random he may have dug up during a rampage and forgot about (usually shoes, rocks and trash)
4. What do they notice first in a person?
Their smell, werewolf super smell and all. He can figure out if a person is an occult by the smell.
5. On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?
A 10, he's been in so many werewolf brawls, and running through the forest, it takes a lot to actually get him to be very bothered by pain and he heals quickly. He wears his scars like badges of honor lol
6. Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?
Fight fight fight! He likes fighting and hates to appear like a wimp.
7. Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?
No, he was an only child, had a mom and dad and that's it. He has a big family now though. (4 children, his husband, and his father who is still kicking) I would say he is a family person, he loves all his kids and is protective over them and his husband.
bonus family photo :)
Tumblr media
and grandpa (ajay's father, Ravi) cause we love him and his terrible dad jokes
Tumblr media
8. What animal represents them best?
Well...a wolf
9. What is a smell that they dislike?
Vampires have a necrotic undead smell he hates like most werewolves. He also hates coming across somewhere that was "marked" by another werewolf and gets territorial.
10. Have they broken any bones?
Nope
11. How would a stranger likely describe them?
Depends. If he's dressed nicely and calm, people see he's sure of himself or confident. When he's high fury/wearing his torn or rocker clothes, he still has that confident vibe but in a more intimidating way.
12. Are they a night owl or a morning bird?
Night Owl because werewolves are nocturnal, he'll be up in the morning anyway because he doesn't sleep much.
13. What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love?
He hates all artificial fruit candy, as for a flavor he loves, a steak, seasoned right (and very very rare)
14. Do they have any hobbies?
Yes, he likes to knit and paint mostly. He likes to read and likes tor forage/hunt for crystals or mushrooms that Sid might need
15. Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises?
I'd say he's pretty stoked
16. Do they like to wear jewelry?
Yeah, his moon necklace his mother gave him and other bracelets Sid makes him
17. Do they have neat or messy handwriting?
It's actually very neat!
18. What are two emotions they feel the most?
Energetic and confident
19. Do they have a favorite fabric?
really soft fleece, he'll fall asleep real quick in a pile of fleece sweaters lol
20. What kind of accent do they have?
subtle indian accent (mother had an indian accent, father has a southern usa accent so it's a mix of that)
The closest voice claim I have for him is Dr. Carrington from Fallout 4 I like imagining that he sounds very eloquent and chill (well at least until his fury gets high enough, then he's just loud, rough sounding and growly)
If you just want to talk about yours OC's just do this and say I tagged you or w/e, use all excuses to talk about your OC's and stories 👍🏼
(that and I'm not very active on here atm due to not wanting to play sims, social media detox and attempts at better habits in life.)
