Why do you rock their world?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Group 1
Wheel of fortune, Judgement, 3 of swords, Queen of cups, 4 of swords, Queen of wands
To this person, you are like a breath of fresh air. Not only do you speak your mind without hesitation but you are also not afraid to cross them and confront them when you need to. You can be very cunning, cutting, unapologetic and unwavering. But you can also be incredibly kind, caring and uplifting. You just know how and when to talk to them. Let's not lie here, you are one hell of a person and if they ever try to slyther their way around, you will know and call them out right away. This person feels like you could electrocute them any time and as much as it scares them it also thrills them. They are not used to being "manhandled", to having someone seeing as clearly through them as you do. Your energy is addictive, no matter how intense it may be. Being in your presence can be a shock to many people, especially to this person because you do not joke around. Life has made you bitter possibly and you do not have time for BS, that is certain. This person admires that. Also I feel like they have a sense of being linked to you through karma. Like, the reason why you are into their life is because they have things to heal and learn about. This person is very conscious of the impact you have on their life, I feel. They know that they will learn by your side and that may be something that attracts them. They seem to be the kind of person that likes to be challenged, pushed beyond their limits, forced to question their beliefs and evolve, a bit like a snake that needs to shed its skin regularly in order to grow. You rock their world because you allow them to heal and put into perspective things that used to scare or hurt them. They feel like they can purge their karma and redeem themselves with you. You rock their world because they feel like they have been given a second chance and somehow, you are connected to that. Or so they believe. Also, in this person's eyes, you are attractive. Sensual. Creative. You are fierce and independent, you make your own luck and create your own opportunities. When a challenge arises, instead of complaining or being paralyzed in fear, you take the lead and face obstacles straight ahead. You are a source of inspiration to this person.
Group 2
6 of wands, 5 of swords, 3 of cups, 9 of wands, ace of swords, 9 of pentacles
You rock their world because you are a succesful person, a role model and an inspiration to many. You are smart, mature, humble. You do not shy away from a fight but you know better than to start any. You keep your calm in all circumstances, even when challenged or triggered. You are always trying to be the bigger person. You rock their world because you take it easy. You do not feel pressured by time or space and you do things on your own accord. No one gets to tell you what to do. You walk to the beat of your own drum. You are an ambitious person, with a clear mindset and a clear idea of where you want to go, who you want to be, what energy you wish to embody in life. You aim for your goals confidently and you do a very good job at achieving them. You have a competitive and combative spirit. You know when to rest and when to take action. You know how to have fun and live life to the fullest. You don't depend on others and don't let them determine your worth. Because of that, this person admires you and envies you in a sense. You rock their world because you show them that they cannot control everything. You prove them that being yourself and doing things as you wish doesn't make you a bad person. This person is used to doing things depending on others' opinion of them, to please others and be accepted, recognized. They're not used to thinking for themselves, following their own desires and needs. Seeing you do what you do best intrigues them and also challenges them. Because it makes them wonder why they fail to do the same. This person would like to be in your shoes. They want to follow in your footsteps and be a version of themselves that they can appreaciate more instead of being a replica of others' expectations of them. You rock their world because of your generosity and kindness, your patience and understanding.
Group 3
High Priestess, Queen of pentacles, Wheel of Fortune, Chariot, 7 of swords, Hierophant
My, my, group 3. You are a genius. Or so do they believe. You rock their world because you seem to know everything and everyone. You are mysterious and powerful. I wouldn't be surprised if most of my fellow psychics and tarot readers picked this group. You rock their world because you see right through them. When they think that they have the upper hand, you are actually ten steps ahead. You move quickly, swiftly, without a sound nor a fight, like a stealthy wolf waiting for the right time to pounce on a deer. They feel caught like a deer in daylight with you because they have no way of pressuring you or misleading you. You are quick to react, quick to figure out their intentions and thoughts. Quick to understand the dynamics going on in any situation. Your brains, my dear, impress them more than you could know. They love how smart and strategic you are, how you plan everything meticulously, how everything you say or do is never pointless, always has a hidden meaning. They are both afraid and amazed by the connections you make both before and behind the scene. They admire your ability to read the room and pick up on cues to act accordingly. How like a snake you adapt to any situation and slither your way through the crowd, how you morph so easily to get what you want and deserve. You're a force to be reckoned with. Not only that but you are also extremely giving and patient, you stand your ground firmly and you do not waver in the face of fear. You are not afraid of the dark, of uncertainty, of times of confusion. Because you know deep down that you will prevail no matter what. Your confidence sets this person off guard. Because in their eyes it's like you have no weakness. You are like a fortress. Hell, you're even the dragon protecting the whole thing. You could roast them any moment if you wished, yet you prefer to focus on yourself and move on. Your rock their world because of your faith and your strong moral code, your inner compass that seems to guide you through shallow waters and help you safely reach the shore. There ain't no tide that could drown you, for you are the tsunami that will wreck it all.

Sniper (part 1) - Natasha x Female Reader
Tumblr media
warnings: mentions of violence (guns etc.)
word count: 1244
You've been trying to catch and stop Natasha for as long as you can remember; you finally see her again, after 3 years.
a/n: inspired by a prompt I saw on TT that suddenly gave me insane motivation to write
Your former work for SHIELD, coupled with the glowing recommendation Fury had written for you, had opened doors you never thought possible. High(er)-level intelligence agencies had practically lined up to recruit you, and it wasn’t long before you found yourself entrenched in a new world of operations and classified missions. Your current boss, a calculating and ambitious higher-up with ties that ran deep, had recently assigned you to a high-priority duty. The mission was clear but personal - the kind that made your pulse race and your resolve waver. After three years of chasing her, she was finally within your grasp.
Natasha Romanoff had become chaos, her cunning mind orchestrating a series of events that threatened to destroy global stability. She manipulated world leaders, sowing distrust among allies and tearing apart her long-standing professional relationships. Whispers of a bio-weapon project capable of targeting populations only added to the growing unease among those who suspected her involvement. Yet, to the public, and even some former allies, she maintained an innocent facade, always frustratingly one step ahead. She had made her plan clear to you all those years ago:
Natasha had locked her piercing gaze onto yours. "You know how bad it's gotten, Y/N. The leaders are puppets, and the people-” she paused, “they don’t even realize they’re asleep.”
“You can’t seriously believe getting rid of all of it is the answer,” you’d argued, the weight of her words settling uneasily. Her lips had curved into a faint smile, not of humour, but of certainty.
“It’s not about belief. It’s about necessity. Only through destroying one thing can we rebuild something that works. Governments, alliances - they don't work. They need to be erased.”
“Erased? Do you even know what you sound like, Natasha? And replaced with what? You?”
She paused.
“If that’s what it takes.” Her voice had been calm, no sense of hesitation, her conviction chilling. “Survival of the fittest. No corruption. No weakness.”
At the time, you’d thought it was just frustration talking, the cynical musings of someone who’d been through too much. But now, you realised she’d meant every word. Natasha wasn’t just dismantling the world’s structure - she was forging it into her vision of perfection. And you had been too blind to stop her then.
From then, you knew every move she made was deliberate - you had known her to be an incredibly smart woman ever since you met her. And of course, your history with her proved to be of convenience to organisations, though you were frequently hesitant to speak her name.
The night air was cold, the city sprawled out beneath you in a labyrinth of lights. The sniper rifle before you felt like an extension of yourself; "That sounds ridiculous," you thought, but every inch of the weapon's polished surface was familiar to you. You leaned into the scope, propped up on your elbows. Silence, broken only by the occasional hum of traffic below. You knew, of course, that Natasha would never trust anyone else to do work for her, she was after all a self-proclaimed "lone wolf" (you had always made fun of her for that). You couldn't see her yet, but you knew she was coming.
Your superior had instructed you simply: to wait, and then take the shot when you saw her. Each minute that passed, the tension in your shoulders grew, your thoughts tightening into a knot of uncertainty.
You adjusted the focus on the scope, making sure every inch of the room was visible, your pulse steady. You felt your warm breath mix with the stinging cold of the air around you, manifesting into a puff of smoke.
There you saw it, her gleaming red streaks of hair.
For a moment, the city below seemed to disappear, the noise fading into a distant hum. All that remained was the image of her, framed perfectly in your sight. Your heart beat a little faster, not from the tension of the mission, but from something you hadn’t allowed yourself to feel in years. The memory of her, the way she used to make you feel. You held your breath, the moment heavier than anything else you had ever done.
And then, as if she could sense your gaze, she turned. Her head shifted slightly, just enough to catch a glimpse of the reflection in the window across the street. You froze as her eyes locked onto yours through the scope. The world blurred around her stare, and everything you had told yourself about this mission - about her - faded into the background.
She knew. The realisation hit you like a punch. She had always been sharper than anyone gave her credit for, but in this moment, it wasn’t just about strategy. It was a silent acknowledgment, that you were no longer just playing a game of cat and mouse. Her lips barely parted, as if she were about to speak - though the words never came.
The silence between you was deafening, the weight of it pressing in from all sides. You didn’t know if she would move, if she would even give you a chance to make the shot. The corner of her mouth was slowly tugged up her face, the faintest smirk forming as if she knew exactly what you were feeling: she could sense the panic radiating from your skin. Of course she knew, she always knew.
Your trigger finger twitched, the red spot on her forehead suddenly becoming painfully obvious. She slowly raised her empty hands up to the air as if to surrender, the smirk still prominent on her face. Her right hand began to form a gun shape, her fingers curling into a mock trigger, and with a playful yet mocking precision, she brought it to her temple. She paused, and then, with a small grin, mimicked pulling the trigger, the "pew" sound escaping her lips exaggeratedly. It was a cruel game of control. The image of her - carefree, taunting - causing your finger to tense on the trigger.
You watched as she lowered her hand slowly, the smirk still playing on her lips, her eyes never leaving yours. "Come on, you still have it in you, don’t you?" she taunted through the wiring in the room feeding directly to your ear, her voice a low, amused whisper.
The mockery squeezed at every nerve in your body. Every instinct told you to act, to end this, but you faltered. She was still the woman you once knew, the one who had shared everything with you, and now she was daring you to pull the trigger.
"You know where to find me," she whispered again.
In an instant, the room’s lights flickered, a low hum filling the air. Before you could react, the lights completely blackened, plunging you into suffocating darkness. The only sound that filled the silence was your own breathing, shallow and sharp, as rage set in once again. The weight of the rifle in your hands seemed heavier now as you dropped onto your arms in sudden exhaustion.
The lights flickered back to life, but the room was empty. Your heart skipped a beat as you scanned the space, your eyes darting from corner to corner. Nothing. As if she had never been there at all.
You lowered the rifle slowly. She had just given you the slip again. You clambered up, kicking your equipment out of your way in your anger.
"Fuck."

For the character hotness rating, for the fun of it: the current Terrafell crew (by whatever names you'd like to call them).
Atticus:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY.
Tall, lithe, and graceful. He's feminine enough to be considered "pretty," and he makes up for it with a sharp smirk and purring tone. Is he faking his deep voice? Yes. Is he using beauty magic to keep his hair shiny? Definitely yes. Does he have a tendency to "accidentally touch" people when he's instructing them? Absolutely. He's competent, capable, and funny when given the chance. He's not quite my type, but he's someone's and she is going to be a lucky woman.
Sock Police:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
He's big, he's broad, his biceps are the size of my head. He's got a little bit of a baby face that is going to turn into an amazing jawline and cheekbones in a couple of years, and his hair is ridiculously thick. He's constantly brooding, but that just might be his eyebrows and deep set eyes, which seem black but in the sunlight turn to spiced honey and his scars might as well be tattoos for him.
Furniture Man:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
He's tall, has cheekbones to cut glass, and the beard. Yes, he's a little thin and pale and his eyes might freak someone out, but he's also very mature and incredibly aware of the limits of his situation while also maintaining hope and actively trying to solve stuff, which is just attractive in and of itself.
The Doc:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
He's got a vibe. With the gray hair and the gray eyes and the glasses it's definitely a Look but he's also incredibly smart and empathetic and he's definitely a person to feel safe around. My introvert tuchus is mentally sitting in the same room as him without having to say a word.
Sir Dwarf:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Okay, he's not my type because he's definitely got a dad bod and he's, well, a dwarf, but he's got the physical ability to bench press me with one hand while folding steel with his other and I am not immune to that. Plus, he's the height of chivalric respect and there's very little I could ask beyond that.
Nik:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
He's also not my type, but heaven knows that's not enough. Dark skin, dark eyes, the jaw, the confidence, the laid back attitude that tempers his bulging muscles, the smile. Weak for it.
A.T.:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
He has the body of a 35 year old and the soul of Distinguished Gentleman. He's wise, thoughtful, and a legit snack. His eyes can see into your soul and his aggressively generous nature hides a surprisingly cunning side that would make me bite my lip if I saw it in person (if it wasn't directed at me)
Minor characters:
E. From D.:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
He's definitely in the Distinguished Gentleman phase of life. He's rocking the gray hair, eye wrinkles, and his eyes are the sparkliest blue. I'm not there yet, but give me fifteen years and I will line up.
Emperor to Be:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
The curls. The lips. The nose. This man is a Greek statue in flesh. He's ambitious and aggressive and possessive, but he will take care of what is his and he is mine.
Haggard Mailman:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Okay, in my defense, he just. Didn't get the time that put into his design that other characters did, and instead of being "video game gorgeous" he's just a background character. Someone probably thinks he's cute or handsome, but he's pretty generic.

𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗴𝘄𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀
Tumblr media
This was soooo fun, but also really difficult! All the characters at some point, display attributes from all the houses. Everyone has moments of immense bravery, they’re all loyal to someone(s), they all have their own creative or intellectual abilities, and they display ambition or determination in what they do.
The trick was for me to decide which traits I thought defined them the MOST. And who knows, maybe I’ll change my mind one day, but rn, I think I’m happy with these decisions.
As always, let me know what YOUR opinion is if you want. This is by no means an expert opinion. Just my own thoughts. ✌️
- ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴇ: ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ)
Tumblr media
I think the biggest thing that pushes him into Gryffindor is his reckless chivalry. He doesn’t think about the consequences before doing something and is unable to acknowledge the affect of those decisions long-term (his vigilantism, for example). He’s constantly making choices that are completely reactionary and not ever really thought-out, sometimes to his own detriment. But it’s almost always for the right reason, at least in his eyes. His loyalty to the people he loves is a strong motivator, but so is his need to do the right thing. His moral compass is incredibly strong and not only dictates the decisions he makes (which can be misguided for sure… GRUNDY) but also the friends he keeps and people he associates with. He is very passionate about everything he does, especially music/poetry and football, which can fully encompass his entire being when he’s locked into them. There is a big piece of Hufflepuff in him, with his strong determination, loyalty to his friends, and hard-working mindset, mainly thanks to his father Fred. But I do think his recklessly brave, honest, and trusting personality just leans more heavily towards Gryffindor.
- ᴠᴇʀᴏɴɪᴄᴀ: ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ)
Tumblr media
Veronica is VERY ambitious and cunning, confident and self-reliant in almost everything she does. When she cares for people she cares for them HARD! But not everyone is deserving of that loyalty from her. Her resourcefulness and cleverness, which go hand in hand, is unmatched, even without her parents money. She’s always scheming and thinking on her feet (thus the Ravenclaw aspects: wise, analytical, and idealistic) especially when dealing with her father, which happens soooo much. BUT, her schemes are almost always motivated by a desire to do the right thing by those she loves. She’s ruthless (tho not in the same hard, flippant way Cheryl can be) because she is DRIVEN to always succeed at everything she sets her mind to, it’s how she was raised for better or for worse. Her tendency for success is greatly aided by her resilience, charm, and clever nature. She’s a Slytherin for sure, but more open-minded, accepting, and meticulous than stereotypes about Slytherin’s might say.
- ʙᴇᴛᴛʏ: ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴠᴇʀʏ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ)
Tumblr media
Betty was kinda tough for me. She feels so different throughout every season. When it comes down to it though, I think her most defining attributes are how hard working she is, how fiercely she loves (even to a dangerous degree), and determined she is. She has a hunger for justice and finding the truth, TENACIOUS. She’s passionate about everything she sets her mind on doing and will see things through to the end. She’s smart like a Ravenclaw & sometimes reckless like a Gryffindor, but those don’t feel like defining characteristics for me. She could, however also be strongly considered for Slytherin as that hunger for justice can be seen as driven and determined, sometimes leading her to make ruthless decisions that hurt other people for her own gain or for the gain of her mission. Depending on the season, she does have a tendency to be very judgemental and deceptively manipulative or cruel. In the end tho, I think she is really just a workaholic, someone who just wants to do the right thing and see that people get what the deserve, an eye-for-an-eye sort of thing. She will do anything for the people she loves, ANYTHING. Fairness. Justice. Determination.
- ᴊᴜɢʜᴇᴀᴅ: ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ)
Tumblr media
Jughead is ECCENTRIC. He’s weird, he’s a weirdo. He doesn’t fit in, and he doesn’t want to fit in. He’s very much an introspective wall-flower, who is not only quite intelligent, but also wildly creative. He’s a writer, tortured soul, he’s cynical. An inquisitive mind if there ever was one! This can sometimes lead him down a dangerous and condescending path where he holds himself and others to too high of standards, and gets upset when they fall short. He can be vain and maybe a little pretentious sometimes because he’s passionate about what he does. He seeks justice through truth and observation, often for the greater good. Like a Slytherin tho, he uses his intelligence to achieve his goals and is VERY determined, to the point where he can sometimes lose himself in the mystery and let relationships fall to the wayside. He’s incredibly ambitious and self-reliant, but that is by far overshadowed by his curious and creative nature that often makes him the driving force for the shows’ entire narrative.
- ᴄʜᴇʀʏʟ: ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ)
Tumblr media
This one feels like kind of a no-brainer, because it’s what everyone says, but I actually think she’s more complicated than JUST being a Slytherin. Cheryl is confident! She’s ambitious and resilient, calculating, and can be very manipulative. Like Veronica, she’s a schemer. But her loyalty is INCREDIBLY selective. She trusts very few people in her life, but those she does, she gives her ALL to (see Toni & Jason) and she desperately wants to take care of them and be loved by them. She follows her own path, constantly trying to break out of her families’ dark, dark shadow. She is big on self-preservation and that can lead her to make selfish decisions that hurt others. BUT, I also think she has a major creative bone in her body that shines in the later seasons (she’s literally an artist). And I think a very strong case can be made for Gryffindor. She’s rebellious (especially against her family!), is stubborn as hell, proud to a fault, and can be quite boastful and arrogant. She IS red, it’s her aesthetic! In S6 & S7, she’s more reserved and kinder too, willing to give her life for the town. But in the end, her ambition, confidence, and ruthlessness to achieve her goals make her a Slytherin imo.
- ᴛᴏɴɪ: ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ)
Tumblr media
This girl is LOYAL. Damn, is she loyal and patient and dependable. Toni is basically the textbook definition of a Hufflepuff. She has a crazy strong work ethic that stems from a prideful and practical personality. She may be one of the most responsible people on the show (forgetting about S6 and how they made her a bad mom). She’s giving and compassionate. She’s HONEST, not just to others, but with herself. She knows who she is and she’s doesn’t let anyone tell her otherwise. Her loyalty and kindness can sometimes get her into trouble tho, because she often lets people dictate or make decisions FOR her because she thinks it’s what they need (Cheryl & Anthony!). But I also think the Gryffindor in her is VERY overwhelming too. She’s rebellious, has a strong moral compass, is incredibly chivalrous, and very passionate about her hobbies and the people she loves. As a serpent, she is PROUD, overwhelmingly so. She takes pride in who she is and what she and the serpents stand for. I just believe her undying loyalty, patience, and dependability are what really makes her who she is.
- ʀᴇɢɢɪᴇ: ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ)
Tumblr media
Reggie is extremely proud, reckless and is not one to think before he acts. Emphasis on RECKLESS. He’s loud and boisterous, every bit the stereotypical jock, especially in the beginning. Like Cheryl, he’s part of a family legacy and grew up conceited, with all the wealth and power at his disposal. It made him cocky and made him THINK he could do whatever he wants (arrogance). He’s playful and likes to crack jokes and keep things light, sometimes not even on purpose. Like typical Slytherin’s, he’s confident and charming, finding ways to achieve his goals at any cost. However, unlike a Slytherin, I don’t think he is often shown to be very cunning or self-reliant. He’s not particularly clever or calculating, and is usually more of a follower than a leader. BUT, I think he’s very protective of those he loves, chivalrous, one might say. He’s stubborn and refuses to back down from the choices he and his friends make, even if it puts him in physical harm.
- ᴋᴇᴠɪɴ: ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ)
Tumblr media
Another tough one for me. I think his open-mindedness and kindness are what defines who he is and how he interacts with the people around him. His tolerance is motivated by his own life, by the way he’s grown up knowing he was gay and wanting to ensure nobody felt uncomfortable in who they are. Similar to Toni, he KNOWS who he is and is not ashamed to be that person. He’s often the moral support for his friends and just loves being around the people he cares about. He is proud, but not in a cocky way, like a Gryffindor would’ve. He has a full-fledged confidence in himself and the choices he makes, which can lend itself to being a Ravenclaw, as does his blindly accepting and loquacious nature. But his loyalty and unprejudiced outlook on life make him a definite Hufflepuff to me!

Note
hello you’re the only person i know on here who likes harry potter so i’m sending you my headcanons for the mentors in their hogwarts houses
persephone- hufflepuff, i think she’s very loyal, kind, & patient
festus- gryffindor, he’s a lil impulsive but brave (sort of projected a james potter type personality accidentally)
livia- slytherin, i see her as ambitious and resourceful or ravenclaw, bc i also think she’s witty and creative
vipsania- slytherin, very ambitious and cunning
felix- ravenclaw, idk he’s just giving those vibes
hp x tbosas?? :D
(more under the cut)
i fully agree with the ones you mentioned-
persephone price - hufflepuff
what you said! i think she likely sticks close to her house for her earlier years but opens up to other houses once festus became her friend (after some group project that pairs them together)
festus creed - gryffindor
honestly didn’t even have to think about this one. festus just feels like gryffindor.
livia cardew - slytherin
she has ambition, connections, self-preservation, pretty motivated by competition and doing better than people she doesn’t like and cunning when she wants to be
vipsania sickle - slytherin
she’s really competitive and driven. also i can’t explain it, but she kinda has quidditch keeper vibes.
felix ravinstill - ravenclaw
he tried for slytherin- he really did! (that’s a lie, he didn’t try that hard.) i’d say it was a bit of a toss-up between the two, and felix was fairly ambivalent since both were respectable enough- and that sealed it for ravenclaw.
more mentors!
coriolanus snow - slytherin
ambition. ambition for ages. the sorting hat didn’t even have to think about it.
clemensia dovecote - slytherin
ambition as well, but to a much less harmful degree than coriolanus. ravenclaw was probably floated as a potential house, but not long enough to cause a hat stall. unrelated to the sorting, but if we’re going with hp events as well, was likely the one to figure out the basilisk then got petrified before she could tell anyone.
sejanus plinth - gryffindor
he’s a hufflepuff in my heart, but he’d most likely be sorted into gryffindor.
urban canville - hufflepuff
i would have said ravenclaw, except urban kinda gives zacharias smith (re: would urban push first years out of the way to escape the battle of hogwarts? probably.) so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
arachne crane - slytherin
she was nearly a hat stall because the hat tried putting her in gryffindor. she adamantly refused until the hat gave in. it sorts, but students do get choice.
io jasper - ravenclaw
incredibly smart, but she’s most skilled at science-related classes. everyday, she thanks the founders that urban wasn’t placed in the same house as her. it’s bad enough that hufflepuffs and ravenclaws often have classes together.
lysistrata vickers - gryffindor
i could see an argument for hufflepuff, but she feels outspoken enough to tip the scales into gryffindor when considering the two.
i have no explanations for the rest, these are just vibes-
pliny harrington - slytherin
juno phipps - ravenclaw
hilarius heavensbee - slytherin
gaius breen - slytherin
androcles anderson - hufflepuff
domitia whimsiwick - slytherin
dennis fling - hufflepuff
palmyra monty - ravenclaw
iphigenia moss - hufflepuff
apollo ring - gryffindor
diana ring - ravenclaw
florus friend - ravenclaw
bonus! here’s where i think some of the tributes would go-
lucy gray - slytherin
jessup - hufflepuff
marcus - gryffindor
reaper - hufflepuff
treech - slytherin
lamina - hufflepuff
(the slytherin/hufflepuff vibes for treemina go hard- lamina swears that treech should have been a hufflepuff, but treech swears that lamina should have been slytherin. in a way, they’re both right.)
also, where would you sort the d4 tributes/victors (mizzen, coral, finnick, mags, annie, etc.)?
thanks for the ask!

Octonauts as hogwarts houses.
Barnacles: he has to be hufflepuff, incredibly sweet and caring but will ultimately lay down his life for his friends forever
Kwazii: I like him as either hufflepuff since he is incredibly loyal and hardworking or mabey as gryffindoor due to his courage, reckless behaviour and his self pride (ig). Either way he awsome
Peso: ravenclaw/slytherin. He's smart, resourceful and overall amazing but he seems alittle cunning and sneaky like he'll honestly sabotage someone's life subscription if they frick with his friends
Tweak: slytherin. Cunning, smart, resourceful, determined and ambitious she got it all. She is really determined in life and is ambitious in her work, she's recourses with the gups, cunning with how to make them and what their roles will be and she smart af.
Dashi: hufflepuff, no one is as kinda snd adorable as her. She is overprotective of her friends and hardworking in her field, doing whatever she can to help people and keep them safe.
Shellington: he is a ravenclaw simply because he's always keen to learn new things, he's incredibly clever, he has the wisdom of someone twice his age yet the wit of someone younger. Perfect lil ravenclaw
Prof. Inkling: ravenclaw, he is all about books, giving wisdom and advice to younger generations, learning more about the world around him and being intellectual enough to help out the crew in most situations.
Hope you enjoyed yall, sorry for not posting :3

Here is a Pokémon team for our favorite overly ambitious manipulative Hand, Otto Hightower!
Mismagius:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Mismagius usually shows up without warning to cause havoc on unsuspecting humans or Pokémon. If it is powerful, Mismagius can use advanced incantations for various purposes, such as causing misery or happiness. People that hear its cries will usually receive headaches and hallucinations."
I feel Otto would be interested in this one because, as a Ghost type, it can turn invisible and be the perfect spy. Also, its ability to cause misery and happiness in others I feel would serve Otto well.
Metagross:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Metagross is the result of two Metang fusing together. This gives Metagross four brains in total, all connected by a complex network of neurons. Because of these complex connections and the number of brains, this Pokémon is capable of performing complex calculations and is more intelligent than a supercomputer. It is imbued with psychic powers and uses its intelligence to analyze its opponents during battle."
For this one, the massive intelligence of the Pokémon I feel would be the draw for Otto.
Malamar:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Malamar possesses strong hypnotic powers, which are said to be the most powerful of any Pokémon. Malamar uses its hypnotic power to force others to do its bidding. Those under Malamar's control will lose their memories surrounding the event. People often utilize this ability for nefarious deeds. Malamar's hypnotic powers are said to have played a role in several history-changing events. It lures prey with the flashing pattern on its luminescent body and hypnotic motions, then ensnares them in its tentacles. The prey is then finished off with digestive fluids."
Do I really need to say why I think Otto would want this one?
Beheeyem:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Beheeyem communicates by flashing its multi-colored fingers in patterns; these patterns have yet to be decoded. Beheeyem can manipulate the memories of its opponents, being able to erase or even rewrite them. When humans and Pokémon fall under its hypnosis, they will wear Beheeyem shaped masks. Beheeyem can used those under its control to speak to humans. However, this hypnotic power cannot work on beings who are not very smart."
Again, do I really need to say why I think Otto would be interested in this one?
Gothitelle:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Gothitelle's immense psychic power can distort the space around it, showing visions of distant stars and past events, but it dislikes conflict. It can predict the future from the placement and movement of stars and weeps when it discovers the lifespan of its Trainer. It has a detached nature due to seeing how all life will eventually end. The visions Gothitelle shares are said to be apparently ethereal and beautiful."
I feel Otto would want a Gothitelle due to its ability to accuracy in seeing the future and its ability to share those visions with others. Otto could use Gothitelle's future sight to manipulate others, like Viserys, in addition to using its powers to aid him in preparation for future events. The only drawback for Otto is that Gothitelle dislikes conflict, which is what Otto's actions ultimately lead to, and might therefore not listen to Otto.
Weavile:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Weavile live in snow-covered areas and are notorious predators. Weavile is famed for its speed and agility. Weavile is also known for its intelligence and cunning nature, thanks to its brain having developed as it evolves from Sneasel. A scratch from Weavile's sharp claws can cause frostbite. Weavile travel in packs of four or five, with one of them acting as the pack leader."
In addition to being smart and cunning, Weavile, as well as Sneasel, are known for being incredibly vicious, which would make it the ideal assassin for Otto. No need to rely or ask a Kingsguard to sneak in and assassinate members of the royal family when you have a Weavile.
As you've probably noticed, each of these Pokémon are smart on their own, which I feel Otto would look for in a Pokémon in order to fufill the missions he would give them. He wouldn't be looking for a partner in a Pokémon, rather he would see them as tools to help him gain influence and power, which each of these Pokémon can do in the court of King's Landing. Beheeyem and Malamar possess incredible mental manipulation, Mismagius can affect moods and act as a spy, Metagross is a living supercomputer, Gothitelle can see and share visions of the future, and Weavile would make a perfect assassin. Each of these Pokémon would help him get and keep power.
What do you think of these picks?
"I feel Otto would be interested in this one because, as a Ghost type, it can turn invisible and be the perfect spy. Also, its ability to cause misery and happiness in others I feel would serve Otto well." --YES!! That makes perfect sense and Otto would 100% use it this way!
Otto with a supercomputer (Metagross) is so scary lol But he'd so do whatever it takes to get it because, my god, he'd use it for his evil (patriarchal) plans.
"Do I really need to say why I think Otto would want this one?" No you fucking don't, because it's so obvious and makes so much sense for him, and once again, this is scary. The fact that Otto would be able to mess with peoples memories is so insane but it's 100% in character for him.
Your assessment of Otto and his uses for these Pokémon are 100% correct and you've basically made him a super villain! I mean, he as a spy, a supercomputer, can manipulate emotions and memory, see the future and a quick and efficient assassin? There's no beating this roster.

i feel like this might be a hot take and also i haven’t been into harry potter stuff for years but
stan is a hufflepuff (this man may be scared but he’s nothing if not loyal, humble, and patient. ravenclaw is also an acceptable answer; analytical and logical)
richie is a ravenclaw (i will remind the fandom that richie tozier is academically probably the smartest of the losers till the day i die, plus he’s incredibly creative)
mike is a slytherin (he also has the potential for hufflepuff and ravenclaw, i can see him having been a hat stall. i just feel like ppl have a weird aversion to placing him into the “bad” house bc he’s the only poc in the losers but he’s resourceful and cunning so he’s a slytherin actually)
eddie is a gryffindor (brave to the bone when it really matters, fucking dances on that stupid clown with a broken arm)
bev is a slytherin (if we’re talking about resourceful and ambitious, our girl kicked and fought her way out of a shitty life TWICE)
ben is a ravenclaw (incredibly inventive, smart, and full of wit)
bill is a gryffindor (natural born leader, need i say more)

OM!Characters and their Patronuses
Tumblr media
Prompt:
Tumblr media
Pairing: NA
Genre: NA
TW: NA
Tumblr media
Lucifer
Hippogriff - The hippogriff is a proud and dangerous creature. They are half eagle, half horse, the offspring of a horse and griffin. If your Patronus is a hippogriff, you likely have a demeanor that commands respect or else. You’ve been known to fiercely defend those you’re loyal to and lash out at those who don’t earn your respect. At the same time, you are capable of growing to love former enemies - after a bloody battle.
Mammon
Crow - The crow is a very well-known bird that some believe is an omen of dark magic. But if this is your Patronus, don’t fret! The crow is very resourceful, ambitious, and cunning. Once they set a goal, they always seem to get what they’re after. Crows are also fearless. Regardless of what sort of creature they find in the way of their goal, they will do anything they can to overpower it. They are also very smart and have been observed using tools to achieve their means. This is a Patronus anyone should be proud of having!
Leviathan
Black Mamba - Widely considered to be the world’s deadliest and most feared snake, the black mamba has an impressive reputation. As the world’s fastest land snake, it can outrun most people. However, its incredible speed is not attributed to hunting but rather escaping threats. Surprisingly, the black mamba shies away from confrontation due to its nervous nature; however, when threatened, it becomes the ultimate force to be reckoned with.
Satan
Heron - The heron is known for its outstanding determination and intelligence. Herons live in three elements: water, earth, and air, revealing that the animal appreciates diversity. You have a mind like no other and work on whatever you’re working on until you’ve finished it.
Asmodeus
Swallow - The swallow is associated with love, happiness, protection, and curiously enough, with summer. Regardless of its small size, this Patronus is extremely powerful and will conquer a full battalion of Dementors.
Beelzebub
Mastiff Dog - English Mastiffs are regarded as one of the most gentle dog breeds, despite their large statures. Mastiffs are a combination of confidence, loyalty, and intelligence and are considered good family dogs. In fact, Hagrid’s dog is played by Neapolitan Mastiffs.
Belphegor
Black Bear - The formidable form of the black bear is often enough to scare away even the bravest of explorers, not to mention Dementors! Often mistaken as a deadly predator, the black bear mostly feasts on berries, grasses, and roots complemented with fish and carrion. This is often how people see you - a fierce opponent who will protect yourself and those close to you but who has a softer side hidden away from the world.
Diavolo
Stag - The stag is a symbol of strength. A person with this Patronus is characterized for their inclination to heroism and nobility. Usually, people who produce this Patronus are confident in their capabilities and hold pride in their actions and beliefs. The stag’s antlers can grow back once they fall off. Because of this characteristic, this animal has been revered in many traditions as a symbol of life regeneration.
Barbatos
Snowy Owl - The snowy owl is traditionally thought to possess strong magic and have insight into the future. Snowy owls, like other varieties of owls, represent wisdom, but the white bird also means a transition may be coming. Perhaps that transition is from sadness to happiness when the Patronus is cast?
Simeon
Doe - As the Patronus of Severus Snape and Lily Potter, the doe is fiercely protective of its loved ones, as displayed through its caring and nurturing nature. The doe is also representative of gentleness yet strong determination, and with its high level of intuition and sensitivity, it battles life’s challenges with the utmost grace and vigilance.
Luke
Sparrow - The sparrow may be small, but it’s an incredibly powerful Patronus. Sparrows are stronger in numbers, so the witch or wizard with a sparrow Patronus gets the benefit of multiple magical protectors. Visualize Hermione’s canary attack on Ron as a swarm of swirling sparrows, pecking Dementors to their doom. They are ever vigilant and some of the quickest Patronuses to appear when their caster is in need!
Solomon
Salamander - It is a type of amphibian, typically characterized by a lizard-like appearance. Unique among vertebrates, they are capable of regenerating lost limbs as well as other damaged parts of their bodies. The skin of some species contains the powerful poison tetrodotoxin, and these salamanders tend to be slow-moving and have bright warning coloration to advertise their toxicity. This Patronus represents a person who is capable of adapting to any environment and is open to change. Also, it describes a person who is capable of overcoming big losses and challenges but could be very dangerous if bothered.

Headcanons Pt 3 - Sorting
So, this is how it's going to go; I'm gonna list a Sans, their Hogwarts house, and why they're there and not elsewhere. I know houses are subjective, but I don't care. It's a fun activity I do with fandoms to familiarize myself with the characters. What traits would place them where, and which would make them seem out of place. How would relationships work across houses? How would they react to being sorted? All that jazz. Starting off with the Gang
Nightmare's Gang:
Horror: Hufflepuff
Was so close to being sorted into Gryffindor. He would have been uncomfortable there, but reckless abandon and pure determination are practically the only two things you need for that house. Both of which he has. He would take a bullet for his friends but would struggle when being put in a situation as a leader. This house also sits closer to the kitchens, so he'd feel right at home. I feel his character too soft and squishy to be sorted elsewhere. (Yes, I am aware of his past, but in a sympathetic Nightmare's Gang, where he'd be allowed to grow and recover, he just becomes a giant teddy bear, leave me alone!!)
Killer: Ravenclaw
Despite his stunning lack of awareness or book smarts, Killer would likely be sorted into Ravenclaw. I find that most of my sorting activities have a prankster character or two in this house. There is a level of cunning needed to pull off more elaborate pranks. He would not like this. Ravenclaws are nerds, he is not a nerd. That aside, he is still somewhat into science like most Sanses seem to be. As much as he is to rush into battle, he tries to at least have some semblance of a plan.
Dust: Ravenclaw
This sorting takes advantage of Ravenclaw stereotypes, Dust being book smart and skilled enough to be Nightmare's right hand. A strategist. He teetered on the edge of ending up in Slytherin, but his lack of wanting to lead on his own keep him out. As well as the fact that he prefers to be quiet, not speaking up even when it might be more necessary. He also has the makings of a Hufflepuff, with his unwavering loyalty and general friend-shaped-ness, as prickly as he may be.
Cross: Gryffindor
The Hufflepuff-iest Gryffindor to ever exist. Sir wants to be a side character but the world won't let him. He wants to follow Nightmare, protect his friends/found family, and will do anything to make that happen. As it is, he's also fairly ambitious, a great leader when the need calls for it, and so self-sacrificing that that one trait alone would have landed him here anyway.
Nightmare: Ravenclaw
A Gryffindor-leaning Raven if you will. Again, he falls into the traditional book smart category of this house. His wit allows him to lead, but he's not dumb enough to run into a battle unprepared. He has a right hand to act as a second opinion, making sure everything is tactically sound. He would kill and die for his found family and they are the only people who would make his reckless enough to make him a Ravenclaw-leaning Gryffindor. He has a handful of Hufflepuff traits, being loyal to a fault and a bit more trusting than one might expect for someone with his past.
Error: Slytherin
The first and only of the Gang sorted here. Despite not being the most morally bankrupt character out there, he finds his sorting helps with his job. He obviously keeps the people he cares about close, but anyone beside them can rot. It's his job to destroy things so the world doesn't collapse on itself, he can't afford to care about much. He is also incredibly ambitious, but not stupid enough to think his goal is an easy one.
Star Sanses:
Ink: Slytherin
The main reason for this sorting is the lack of emotions. Even with them, he is chaotic. He has a small group of friends that he keeps close. His goal is a lofty one, creating to maintain the balance. But he oft creates too much, leaving Error to deal with it. Quite impatient, but also silly and cunning. Cannot look before he leaps and refuses to try, a trait that is scarily common in Slytherins and Gryffindors.
Dream: Hufflepuff
Despite the lack of side character vibes, this man does not want the spotlight. He's Cross if Cross ended up in Hufflepuff. Slightly Gryffindor-leaning. He's a charismatic leader type, but his strengths are in his loyalty and friend-shaped-ness. He's also not as reckless or brash as Gryffindors or their scaley counterparts. Prefers to stay out of the action when possible and would only fight for others.
Blue: Gryffindor
As stated prior, Blue is the only Gryffindor of the Stars. He has all the makings of a classic Gryffindor hero, minus the reckless abandon. He is great at leading and properly motivated. Perhaps a bit self-sacrificing, but that's par for the course. He tends to get drawn into battle whether he likes it or not and will not stand very any injustice. He has a rigid moral compass and is very honest. Since Blue is also a model friend, he also is quite Hufflepuff in design. Love this guy.
If I didn't make it obvious through all that, Gryffindor and Slytherin are houses that lack the ability to fear. And that's not a good thing. Perfect for heroes, but anyone else? Not so much. I'm a Huffpuff, and the more I favor a character, the more likely they are to end up in that house. I think it's just because I like those kinds of characters, but Dream is an outlier in this situation. I feel like all the Slytherins and Gryffindors are somewhat interchangeable, given how close those two houses seem to be. I also refuse to change my stance on Ravenclaw Killer. The lack of braincells that he has active at any given time makes the sorting funny, but he does use them sometimes, which is why he's there.
If you want to see what I have to say about certain Sanses, you can always request them. I'm likely going to stop after Pt 4, in which I'll be covering the remaining CQ bros, Ccino, Crop, Reaper, and maybe TK and Lust.

My problem with Alicent
When I decide to watch this show I went in with little faith. First of all because they couldn’t have pick the worse Targaryen period as you can’t help to feel bad for both Rhaenrya and Aegon II to have been victim and drag by the actions of two ambitious cunts like Alicent and Otto hightower.
However, I was so disappointed in the changes they decide to make to the green queen Alicent.
First by making her younger they took away a lot of responsibility from her own doing even before Rhanerya who was the only child being secretly plotted against until that moment.
I was so ready to hate with 19 years old that on her own free will decide to begin a silent war against 10 years old motherless child. That build a wall between her children and Rhaenrya just so she could get what she ultimately wanted which was the hightower blood in the throne. Her own child as king.
Tumblr media
Alicent was cunning, smart and have authority and agency since the very beginning. She kept the hypocrisy in the eyes of Viserys. She was very careful to with each and everyone she spoke and every lord that support and stood behind Aegon II were loyal and faithful to her as Aegon II wasn’t a much worthier choice and even Alicent knew she needed to aid her child in that area. She was strong willed and didn’t bend easier, when Viserys send her father away because they couldn’t stop with the succession matter alicent continue to work on her plan.
Tumblr media
Even once Rhaenrya was dead she wanted to convince Aegon II to mutilate 10 years old Aegon III and send a piece of the motherless child to lord Tully for everyday he wouldn’t bend to Aegon II. But she did it all for her children. She loved her little brats and she mourn them after she lost everyone. She regret the mistakes SHE made that cost her to lose everything she thought she was protecting.
However, what I am most disappointed is that they took away all of Alicent strong qualities and made her a drag doll. She literally was turn into a lesbian confused, bitter, neglectful, obsessive, abusive, mindless OTTO’s puppet.
Tumblr media
She has no personality, no leadership skills qualities.
Many mention how she is a soft power. Where is her power? She had only shown weakness and double standard hypocritical drag doll. They made her so obsessed with Rhaenrya that she lost sight of everything else.
They made her so incredibly irritating.
I can’t help to feel disappointed of this pathetic version of alicent.
But then again I understand their take on this. It is so incredibly obvious that they couldn’t make alicent older than Rhaenrya and made her have that’s solid posture hell bend on destroying a child from the start. How would they find any good in a character like that. How could that appeal to the audience?
No, she needed to appear just as vulnerable as Rhaenrya and make Rhaenrya be anything but a delight, take away all her good qualities and make her as unlike and bratty as possible so that Poot little alicent look like the little victim drag into putting up with the bad Targaryens.
Then her little angels are just as good as making mistakes as their mother. Aemond accidently- no wait it wasn’t Aemond it was evil Vhagar because they even make it seem like Targaryen do no have any special bond with their dragons anyone can ride a dragon. Then made alicent be the last person to misheard decomposing Viserys and boom the greens took the throne by mistake.
I can’t hate show alicent and that is why I hate her show character. I find her show version pathetic.
A queen that was best friend with Rhaenrya since they were both young girls, was upset Rhaenrya didn’t tell her she slept with Criston and sneak out with Daemon when she was visiting Viserys in his chambers at night and never mention prior to Rhaenrya.
She play the victim as Rhaenrya ignore her for 3 years for lying to her about seeing her father behind her back, never told Rhaenrya of her father’s evil plots. She was a queen already. She had no agency fight against her abusive father when she was the wife of the king and the best friend of the future heir. But she declare war on Rhanerya for not telling her she hook up with dildocriston.
She shamed Rhaenrya for her qeer customs but then went on and married her alcoholic son to her special fragile child. Made Helaena birth twins at the age of 14. Aegon father his first bastard at the age of 11. Aemond lost his V card to a 30+ years old whore, and Daeron is so important the writers decided to not even include him.
Aegon and Aemond knew that Helaena was going to married Aegon and that they were going to become King and queen but the acted all pikachu surprise when she heard the council spoke on episode 9.
She poison her children to hate Rhanerya and her children and then was so upset and suprised that Aegon and Aemond wouldnt behave.
Whoreshame Rhaenrya when she was the founder of OnlyFeet.
She cut open rhaenrya’s wrist and they expect us to believed Viserys would have allow alicent to go unpunished for hurting royal blood? Book alicent did everything behind Viserys back.
She pointed so much her finger for Rhanerya’s bastard when her son has father a fighting club in flea bottom.
She seems more concern of Rhaenrya and obsessively trying to be with her that she come off as a careless, abusive, hypocritical and neglectful mother. Which was something book alicent never was.
Tumblr media
Cersei was a strong queen. She had her way of being. It didn’t made her the bad one in her story. Alicent was meant to be the same. No remorse until she lost everything and even then she never regret doing the things she cause to Rhaenrya and her children but what happened to her and her children and grandchildren.
No hate to the actress. I think both Emily and Olivia are so beautiful and talented. Specially Olivia she has such a great, bubbly personality but writers seriously made her character so spineless.

I've been wanting to do this for ages but I was too lazy to turn on my computer. I got the template here! Only like three of these characters are any degree of well-known, and I think I might actually be one of the only people on Tumblr who knows of two of them... Under the cut I talk a little about how each of them has inspired Sora.
Ibushi Arima: The Original inspiration. The reason Sora exists. The mold that Sora was shaped to fit. Essentially, I needed an OC to fill some holes in my backstory for Ibushi, so I made Sora. He has many things in common with Ibushi for that reason (rich background, unhappy childhood, deeply devoted to a small number of people). He has some key differences, as well, because he needed to have them (less conflict-averse, more ambitious).
Light Yagami: Sora is incredibly, blindingly smart (though not to the degree we're meant to believe Light is, because I'm pretty sure no actual human is as smart as Light is meant to be), and gorgeous, and charismatic, and well-off, but feels a profound disconnect between himself and most others. It takes him in a different direction than Light, however, with more loneliness and self-loathing. Essentially, Sora, like Light, is a guy who seems to have it all, but his internal life is dark and dysfunctional and broken. One of my fav tropes!
Diora di'Marano: She is one of the characters who I might be alone in knowing, which is such a shame, because she's one of my favorite characters in all of media. She's smart as fuck, subtle and patient, good at manipulating people, and overall incredibly skilled at maneuvering through her society to become powerful despite some not inconsiderable barriers. Most importantly for this post, she's motivated by love for a few people, and she doesn't care about much else, including herself. All that cunning and subtlety, and she uses it to protect people, then avenge them, then to protect new people, all the while using herself as a tool like any other. She and Sora would get along, I think.
Haruka and Michiru: Specifically I'm talking about the 90s anime version of these characters. I never watched the anime all the way through, but I remember being drawn to their pragmatism, which influenced the way Sora thinks. The inner senshi don't want anyone to die, and neither do Haruka and Michiru, really, but they recognize that in order to save the most people, they have to commit to causing a few deaths. Sora would do the same calculations.
Amarais Handernesse ATerafin: She is another beautifully pragmatic character. She has more principles than Sora, but she's clear-eyed about what she wants, and she's willing to do literally anything to achieve it; it's simply that some of the things she wants are to never resort to assassination, to leave a positive legacy, to uplift the most vulnerable instead of crushing them under her heel, etc., which rule out some methods of taking and holding power. (Sora does not share these admirable principles; where they are similar is that he, like Amarais, knows what he won't do because he's considered and analyzed it already and decided that it won't produce an acceptable result.) Amarais is also an unapproachable character, aware of her position and expecting others to be aware of it as well, but isolated and made incredibly lonely by that distance. Sora can be very much like that. Lastly, like Sora, she wants power. She wants to get to the top, and she's not sorry about it or ashamed of it, and she's not portrayed as evil for that.
Daemon Sadi: (Look, is he from a Problematic series? Yes. Do I recommend it? Absolutely not. But I read it when I was young, it changed me forever, and now I'm stuck like this.) (Also, he doesn't even have book cover art I could use for this meme; I used @/veliseraptor's fancast of Sendhil Ramamurthy.) Daemon is The Most Powerful Guy To Ever Exist in his canon, which I think freed me early on from the fear of making characters OP. If there's magic or innate superpowers in an AU, and if Sora has them, he's going to be very innately strong, simply because it fits his has-everything-except-happiness-and-love concept and because I want him to be. Daemon is also a rich, beautiful, clever character, subtle and deadly, who lives through a youth full of abuse that follows him for the rest of his life and informs all the close relationships he ever has. Like Sora, he is deeply scarred by his early life and not nearly as stable as his smooth, charismatic facade suggests. His Diora-esque self-sacrificial depth of devotion to his closest loved ones is something else that's really stuck with me, and you can find it in Sora.
Josephine Montilyet: Josie is a diplomat. In a game where you, the PC, are a fighter, and your closest companions are people who fight with you, and two of your three advisors are a soldier and a spy-assassin type, Josephine stands out as the advisor whose skills lie in negotiation, manipulation of social circumstances, pulling strings, and destroying people without ever lifting a weapon. Sora, likewise, is very much a paperwork and private conferences kind of guy. Like Amarais, Josie is more of an idealist than Sora, but also like Amarais, she pursues her goals with Soralike ruthlessness.

Finally gathering some words around my AFAB femme enbie experience, and a special thanks to the gender dysphoria bible for getting me over the line here.
Probably one of the more surprising developments of my gender journey has been that the more secure I’ve been in identifying as gender vague, gender queer, and nonbinary the more femme I’ve presented.
As I’ve followed what feels good, another key ingredient to gender euphoria to me has been some element of weird.
“I want to get neck tattoos,” I said, “So even when I’m on a zoom call people will know I’m Not Normal.”
I spent the first twenty four years of my life working incredibly hard to not appear weird. I received praise from my parents and adults for being “so mature” (which now I see as a red flag). I developed a constantly self-effacing attitude in social situations, working hard to create an easy conversation for everyone else. I was calm, sharp, self-aware. I would hedge and self-deprecate around my special interests, anticipate and proactively avoid complaints. I hated the arrogance and patronizing tone with which other “smart people” moved through the world.
I leaned into smart casual at work. A-line dresses, a retro bob. I wanted to be seen as fashionable, different, as caring about my clothing—but without spending tons of money or seeming too vain. I now refer to this as “dressing as the type of lesbian I wanted to date” era.
I walked a careful line when it came to femininity. I studied and worked in STEM, meaning the prettier I looked, the less likely I was to be taken seriously.
And as friendly as I was and am, I was also smart, cunning, driven, ambitious—and I wanted to be perceived that way. When I worked as an engineer, I would go out of my way to wear jeans and a polo (which, if I was honest with myself, I hated) to ensure I was taken seriously.
It chafed. I could never quite put my finger on why something felt “off”, even though on paper, dressing more androgynously theoretically should have been affirming to me.
Masculine elements were not foreign to me—I would have dreams where I was a man, and the emotional tenor was always curious neutrality. I had the sense that if I had been born a man, very little about me would be different. My me-ness ran much deeper than that.
When I write, I drift between masculine and feminine perspectives. Writing for me has always been a flow state—an unfolding of parts of myself that are usually suppressed, a safe place to explore emotions and identities and experiences that are unsafe or inaccessible in physical reality. Not everyone who writes the opposite gender inhabits that gender—but I do. I have written whole novels from the perspective of a man—not wondering what it’s like to be a man, but simply existing, expressing, experiencing as a man. (Though, not a particularly heteronormative man, to be fair.)
I never wished to be a man—but I did wish that being perceived as a woman did not bring with it expectations about my preferences and competencies.
It seemed at the time that my experience was well-explained by friction with misogyny, but there were other clues. The wordless not-rightness. An internal flinch whenever I was included in a “thanks ladies” or a “oh a girls meeting”, even at the same time as I felt strangely distant from the more masc-oriented women in my workplace.
I was, on some level, jealous that they were more comfortable in polos and jeans, more awkward in a blouse and skirt.
I felt the most affinity with our office manager, who wore flowing sundresses from Anthropologie and carried herself with feminine strength and warmth.
Meanwhile, I would reach for a dress in the morning and then correct myself—No, you see clients today. Better to be taken seriously.
The shifts happened slowly—and then in lurches. I realized I had ADHD, and then autism. I started to trace all the ways that I’d been compensating, all the signs that I’d never really fit in.
And with great relief, the thought settled over me—“I have never been particularly good at hiding how weird I am.” Now I understand it wasn’t just relief—it was a little jolt of gender euphoria.
I have never thought about gender a cis amount. But my flavor of autism means I think about most things more than most people do, and I had never hated being a girl, and I had never wished to be a man. “Non-binary” had still be framed to me as a matter of androgyny, but terms like “gender vague” and “auti-gender” and “demigirl” started to illuminate my path.
I felt simultaneously a disconnect with my gender and a not-yet-realized sense that my gender was so much broader than I realized—that it included my autism, my weirdness, my enthusiasm, my sarcasm, my interests, my intensity, my me-ness.
The switch to remote work with the pandemic left most of my closet irrelevant. When I was going to bother dressing up, it was for me. I bought goth dresses and thigh highs, mini skirts and crop tops. I reclaimed the adolescence I’d never had. I slowly learned how to do my makeup—something I’d spent hours trying at in high school, then scrubbed off in frustration, more terrified of looking like I’d tried and failed than that I didn’t care to try at all.
And it felt right. And I started getting tattoos—and then I didn’t stop getting tattoos. I donated one batch of work clothes, then another. I figured out I was bisexual and I’d been dressing like someone I wanted to be with, not who I was.
This essay was in part inspired by trying to figure out why I feel such a strong affinity with trans women. “I walked through the valley of gender fuck and emerged in bows and skirts”, I wrote last week, my way of cheering a group of trans women being excited about dresses.
It felt too fraught to say, I get this feeling. I love dresses in this same way. In a trans way. Not in a cis way.
I insisted on wearing a dress to school every day until the second grade, and really the only reason I stopped was undiagnosed sensory issues—when I realized that I could just wear a bike short and a t-shirt and be surrounded in cotton, that became my new obsession.
But I wore dresses in the dirt, dresses chasing bugs, skorts on the soccer field, bows with frogs on them. I knew, from a very young age, that “girl” did not feel quite right—but it did not feel quite wrong, either. And if “girl” didn’t feel right, then that meant I was supposed to be a tom boy and hate dresses and parties and cooking and makeup and dolls—but I didn’t hate any of those things. I just also loved heavy machinery and science and paintball. And, importantly, I wanted to be perceived as someone who loved all of those things at the same time. I wanted the very facts of my presentation to challenge people’s assumptions.
I have thought about, and wrestled with, and chafed at gender in a way that cis women have not. I have felt a rush of gender euphoria in adulthood and have a deep, deep appreciation of how much a skirt, a dress, an eyeshadow palette can mean to someone who is finding themselves in adulthood.
Also, thanks to genetically small breasts and an ED phase, I have also experienced watching my body gain/redistribute weight in a way that is gender-affirming. I can finally buy bras off-the-rack now. (Sort of. 38A is a specialty size, but the right 36B works.)
In retrospect, I can see how I always knew that I was a non-binary person and I was attempting to present in a way that non-binary people are supposed to—androgynous, practical. Dressing femme in a “normal” way felt wrong, too. But femme on my terms—weird femme, autistic femme, queer femme, hyper femme, divine femme—feels right. It feels like it can encompass and express the power, presence, and vitality for which I lacked an outlet for so long.
Alt fashion has given me a way for my gender presentation to say, I am not what society tried to make me. I cannot be told what to be. I don’t play by your rules.
I made a little “wheel of genders” for days I’m feeling indecisive. “Cottage core”, “high witch”, “bubblegum goth” and “athleisure” are a few of the options. And even on sweatpants days, bright pink hair and a rapidly growing collection of tattoos (my own form of bodily transition) are always sure to say, I am not normal.
While I may appear to have gone from subverting stereotypes to embracing (some of) them, my inner journey has been one of attempting to comply with stereotypes and then breaking out of them—as so many other trans people experience.
My goal in sharing this, other than to affirm to myself in so many words, I am nonbinary, is that it might resonate with someone else going through something similar.
I’ve read and read and read through definitions and descriptions of what it’s like to be nonbinary (another distinctly not-cis thing to do), looking for a glimmer of recognition. And slowly I collected those glimmers into a beam of light that’s guiding me now. And I hope my story can be a glimmer for somebody else, too 💕

I'm gonna rant about Wolf 359 character Hogwarts houses. Spoiler Warning. Ok so starting off with my favorite character Jacobi.
Jacobi is a Hufflepuff. You could also argue that he'd be a Gryffindor but I think he values loyalty and hard work over bravery. He's incredibly loyal to Kepler until he betrays his trust and remains loyal to Maxwell even after her death
Speaking of Maxwell, Maxwell is a Ravenclaw. She loves to learn more than anything. That was what drew her into Goodard to begin with. The opportunity to be given knowledge just out of her reach.
Kepler is a Slytherin. He's Cunning Ambitious and will go to any means to reach his goal. He's a fan of rules but only rules he makes. He is confident and intelligent. Total Slytherin behavior.
Lovelace is a Gryffindor through and through. She is brave and loves her friends with a fierce passion. She would kill for the people she cares about which is why Hilbert's betrayal hurts her so much.
Hilbert is a Ravenclaw. My first instinct was to put him in Slytherin but everything he does, he does for the sake of knowledge. To find a cure for Decima, to "save countless lives" he's driven entirely by knowledge and science. He doesn't work for his own gain.
Eiffle is a Gryffindor. Eiffle was one I had difficulty sorting because Eiffle has a Hufflepuff energy similar to Jacobi. What ultimately made me put him in Gryffindor is that Hufflepuffs are hardworking. Eiffel is not that. He's also very brave despite being "a man of many fears." He launches himself into the star, he takes down Hilbert, and he survived three months in deep space without (completely) loosing his mind.
Minkowski is a Gryffindor as well. She is incredibly brave and incredibly stubborn both Gryffindor traits. She once spent three weeks hunting a mutant plant monster. She harpooned Cutter in the back. There's really no other option.
Hera is a Slytherin. She's very resourceful, incredibly intelligent (which isn't just a Ravenclaw trait) and loves to learn things. She doesn't love to learn things a Ravenclaw way though. She loves to solve puzzles. She's very focused on helping herself focus better. To take away the buzzing in her head.
Rachel is a Slytherin. She decides to learn the secret to immorality because she's bored and it might be fun. She works for Goodard not to help humanity but to help herself. She's very intelligent but not for the sake of knowledge for the sake of power.
Pryce is a Slytherin similarly to Rachel she's very intelligent but only for herself or Cutter. She doesn't work with AI's because she loves the technology like Maxwell she dose it to rule the world.
Rieman is a Gryffindor. I have no explanation just a gut feeling.
Cutter is interesting. His personality in the show isn't his real personality so you can't really place him in a specific house. He's not a Ravenclaw because despite being smart he lacks wisdom and a will to learn. He's not a Gryffindor because he doesn't value bravery. He's not a Hufflepuff because he's not loyal. He's not a Slytherin because he's, again not loyal. And even if he was any of those things it's a very loose fitting working term because what he displays in the show is not his real personality
Anyways thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Thinking about it a bit more Petyr Baelish is *kinda* like this in that he fulfills many power fantasy-esque tropes (underdog that rises up the ranks and is underestimated, beating the elites at their own game, incredibly smart and cunning, daring and ambitious) while also being constantly humiliated (the whole Catelyn-Brandon debacle is even more humiliating than Lily-James). The main difference with Snape is that the latter is incredibly virtuous and an impossible ideal as much as he is a loser, while Petyr is capital E Evil, up there with the most evil characters in all asoiaf.
One of the reasons I find Snape kind of unique as a character in the stories I've read in that his particular combination of traits is... rare. By this I mean in that A) he has virtues and skills that would normally appear in a main character, a hero, hell even a teen boy power-fantasy, completely larger than life demonstrations of competence and virtue, while at the same time B) having traits that would normally be given to petty villains in order to make them look lame/pathetic, in order for the audience to laugh at the loser. (petty villains are not the same as regular villains, it's the difference between Filch and Voldemort. Voldemort is infinitely more evil but is rarely someone you pity/think is a loser the way you do Filch).
For A) he is a genius immensely skilled at magic and is hyper competent, inventing spells and potions as a teenager, is self sacrificing and brave to ridiculous extremes, over and over again, more than any other character bar the protagonist himself, is a spy that constantly makes the main villain look like a fool, is so virtuous he risks himself to save people he hates because it's the right thing to do, has tons of sarcastic one liners and witty jokes, is intimidating and smooth and has presence, I could go on. All these are traits you give to the Harry Potters of the world.
For B) he's ugly in a very visceral way, he bullies children who did nothing to him and makes them cry, he's bullied and never truly gets his revenge, in fact the girl he's in love with gets together with his bully, he's constantly humiliated (i.e. the Neville boggart scene where he's made to dress in an old woman's clothes, Dumbledore telling him that he disgusts him, the SWM scene). All this is stuff you give to the Filch's of the world.
More interesting than gray morality of whatever the fuck, which I've seen before, Snape is unique to me in that he's as much of a classical hero, larger than life teenage hyper-competence power fantasy made to idealize and try (and inevitably fail) to live up to as he is a pathetic petty tyrant loser made for the audience to laugh at and feel sorry for while hating him at the same time. It's like if you fused Harry Potter's virtues with Argus Filchs flaws. And he never really stops being either of these things throughout the story, he is cool and pathetic always. It's what makes him so incongruous to me, and part of what makes him inspire such strong emotions. People, whether fans or people that hate him, don't really know on what traits to lean into more: Is he cool or pathetic? Lame or awesome? The reality is that he's both. At both extremes at the same time, writing Snape correctly requires toeing the line between power-fantasy and masochistic self-flagellation.
