𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐁𝐎𝐌𝐁 𝐀𝐔
Pairing; Dark!Club Owner Ari x Shy!Reader
Warnings; dark themes, unbalanced power dynamic, daddy kink, no smut in this part but as usual Minors Please DNI!!
Summary; You knew it was a bad idea showing up to the most notorious club in the city, but it’s your best friend’s birthday and you can’t say no, right? So, what happens when the owner himself, Ari Levinson, spots you at the bar, claiming you as his own from the moment he laid eyes on you.
It’s finally here! The first instalment of my very first series, apologies for no smut but i promise the next part will be very smutty to make up for it 👀 bare in mind this is just the introduction!!! please don’t be afraid to ask questions and remember to reblog and comment💗 i love to hear your guys feedback!
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐
You climb out of the uber, reaching to pull the hem of your dress down as you and your friends stumble towards the club.
You had finally agreed to try out the biggest club in the city, "Cherry Bomb.” Since it was your best friend Sarah's birthday your group decided it was only fair she could choose which clubs you were going to tour for the night. You had been putting it off ever since the opening night a few months ago, the reputation not being something you had particularly wished to be involved with.
All you knew was bad things happened there, and from what you had heard the owners, Ari Levinson and Lloyd Hansen, two brothers in arms, were so cruel and unforgiving that even the richest men in the city dared not to step foot in the place, and those who did shortly regretted it. Their names were known around the streets, the most notorious club owners to exist, 70% of clubs in the city all belonging to them, more money under their belt than the government itself.
An incident a few weeks back had became the talk of the town, according to Sarah a well known patron had gotten a little handsy with one of the clubs dancers and when he was given a warning to back off, he refused. Claiming he spent enough money in the club grounds to do as he pleased, including groping innocent dancers without permission.
Long story short the bouncers ended up forcibly removing the man, cussing and struggling on his way out of course, you know, the usual druken male rage and feeling of entitlement. Seemed like a pretty convenient coincidense that the exact same night the man was found beaten to a bloody pulp in a back alley, his face practically unrecognisible.
It wasn't long before the 'rumour' was quickly snuffed out. They were good at that, making things.. people, dissapear. Almost as if it never happened... as if they never exhisted.
Now that you were standing infront of it, you couldn't deny, it was beautiful. Even from the outside, the bright neon sign glowing in the moonlight, multiple bouncers blocking the large glass stained doors, making sure to check each persons id before unhooking the stanchion, allowing said persons entry. The queue seeming endless.
Lucky for you, your friends had been gifted VIP tickets, you didn't even bother to ask who they got those from, or how. You didn't want to know. You flashed your id at the pretty bouncer, his buzzed hair, large muscles and stern face making it quite obvious as to why he had the job he did.
You bounced your foot as he scanned over your card before opening the barrier and letting you inside. Sarah was quick to grip each of your hands, practically dragging you inside once you began to hesitate, not wanting you to change your mind so soon.
"Come on, babe, let's get those sweet legs moving!" Sarah hollers from ahead, her hand intertwined with your own as the rest of the girls hurried towards a booth.
"I-I don't know if this is a good idea, Sare.." you mumbled, fiddling with your fingers as she tugged you towards your friends and giving you a slight nudge into the cushioned seats, the red velvet material instantly soothing your hot thighs as you sat.
She reached down, holding your cheeks in both hands and facing you towards herself, sliding into the booth next to you "Listen, i know you're worried and if it makes you feel better i promise we can leave and go somewhere else, but just give it a try, please...for me?" she pleaded, giving you her famous puppy dog eyes.
"You know i can't resist that face." you whined as she cheered.
As you slowly got more drunk you began to forget why you didn't want to visit. The atmosphere was astronomical, the whole club being fit for royalty. The girls hooted and hollered as you trotted off towards the bar on your way to buy in a round of drinks. You waited at the bar with your card in hand but as you went to hand it over to the bartender he paused you.
“It’s on the house.” he says while he wipes down the bar with a rag, a smile on his face. He was handsome in all fairness, standing at around 6'2, his bright blonde locks and pretty blue eyes causing you to pause for a moment before giving him a puzzled look, tilting your head sideways.
“Is it a nightly special or something? I didn’t see anything about free drinks on the poster outside…” you begin yet he’s already scuttling off to take another couples order, shooting you a sly smile over his shoulder. Leaving you even more confused than before.
You slowly reach for the tray of shots when you feel a large hand on your shoulder, causing you to spin around in shock, ready to fight off any unwanted men. You pause yet again, having to look up to catch the mans face.
His 6’5 form towers over your much smaller figure, dressed in a dark purple suit and tie, his pearly blues shining in the colourful strobe lights, looking down at you with a slight smirk. His dark beard covered most of his face and his long curtains framed his godly sculpted face. Even with his suit on his arms bulged through the material, his thick biceps almost bigger than your head.
You shortly snapped out of your daze as his leather gloved hand squeezed your arm. “C-Can i help you, sir?” you stammered, worried incase you had been caught gauking.
He laughs “Not even a thankyou, Sweetheart? I thought you’d have better manners than that.” he teases, his rough voice sending shivers down your spine. You stutter as you try to find your words, seeming as they were lodged in the back of your throat.
“I’m kidding, name’s Ari…you gonna’ give me the curtesy of knowing yours or you just gonna’ keep starin’ at me with those pretty eyes?”
“A-Ari as in… Levinson?” you question, swallowing harshly as the nerves quickly built in your stomach.
He shakes his head gently with a smirk "So you know me, huh?"
Your eyes widen at the realisation of who the mystery man is, your arms instantly beginning to shake, your card still in hand. You were never good at dealing with situations such as this one, always being labled as the 'shy girl' of your group. Sarah being the complete opposite. Usually men in this situation would back off, sensing your uncomfortable trembles and leaving you alone, but not Ari. If anything the smirk on his face grew wider at the sense of your fear.
"Steve, why don't you head over to booth two, give the girls their shots." Ari calls out towards the handsome bartender from earlier.
The man, Steve, is at your side in an instant "No prob man, have fun you two." he winks, collecting the glasses and sauntering off with a wink.
Ari shakes his head with a laugh, “Why don’t you come with me.” he leans down to whisper in your ear. The vibration of his vocals in your ears sending shivers down your spine before he struts forwards, holding out his thick palm for you to grab on to, and almost as if your in a trance, you begin to trail behind him without hesitation. Sliding your smaller palm into his own as he led you through the club.
Your nerves never allowed you to talk much, or make your own decisions, that being the reason you followed the stranger without any question asked, which is exactly why Sare was usually always there to do it for you. But, your drunken confidence had allowed you to go to the bar alone, which you were beginning to really regret. Your confidence being blown out of the park as the attractive beast watched you from infront with a careful eye.
Shortly you arried at the unknown destination, trailing nervously behind Ari as he unlocked a large door, which was infact bolted shut. He pushed open the door, looking down at you, edging you to enter, and so you did. Your eyes lit up as they searched the vast room, expensive furnature lining the room, bottles of champagne worth more than your house filling the cupboards above his desk.
Ari pushed the door closed, moving to sit on a cushioned purple chair, his thick thighs spread wide as he removed his gloves, pouring himself, and you, a glass of his finest drink. His cold eyes beckoned you forwards, your legs shaking as you stepped towards him, standing inbetween his spread legs.
He patted his thigh with one hand "Sit." he called out, his voice sweet yet stern.
You looked at him shocked, your lips parting slightly, were you really going to sit on his lap? A man you just met? Who you didn't even know? "I-I don't think i should Mr Levinson." you whispered.
His eyes grew shades darker at your refusal, not even giving you time to debate your decisions he reached out, gripping your waist in his thick palm and pulling you down, sitting you sideways on his lap as you gasp in shock. His other hand pushing a strand of your hair behind your ear as you squirmed under the pressure.
"Pretty girl, next time i ask you to do something, you do it. No questions asked. You understand?" he asked in a low growl.
You swallowed your nerves and nodded gently under his deep gaze, your body trembling.
"Ah ah, words baby."
"Yes, M-Mr Levinson, I-I understand."
Ari groaned underneath his breath, not understanding how lucky he had gotten that a pretty little thing like you would just waltse right in at the perfect moment, almost as if you were made for him. Like a lamb in a lions den. "As much as i love the way you say my name, call me Ari, sweet girl."
Again, you followed his command. "Yes, Ari."
"Good girl." he rumbled, pulling your bottom lip gently inbetween his index and thumb, loving the way you felt on his lap. Your innocence and submissive nature automatically triggering his dominance, his cock growing hard in his slacks as your plump ass squirmed on his knee.
You keened at his praise, a fluttery feeling appearing in your lower half. Of course Ari noticed this, the way your pussy pulsated on his thigh told him all he needed to know.
"You ever been with a man before, sweetheart?" Ari asks while he strokes your hair, not even having to shout due to the soundproof room blocking out the clubs music.
"Um, n-no i haven't, my Grandma wouldn't really approve of that sort of stuff, she said i should wait till m-marriage." you whisper shyly.
Ari blows out a puff of air at your innocence, desperately trying to control himself. All he wants is to ruin you, in every way you can imagine, and more. He smirks, leaning into your shoulder, pressing his nose against your sensitive neck and taking a deep inhale. Groaning softly, your sweet scent driving his instincts wild.
"Your Grandma seems like a very smart lady, little girl. You live with just her, huh?"
"Yeah, i never really knew my m-mom and dad, and my grandpa died shorly after i was born s-so it's pretty much always just been me and her. She does her best to take care of me, taught me everything i know." you speak with a bright smile, Ari notices how your stutter stopped when talking about her, he thought it was sweet, how much you must care about her.
However, the dark side of his mind was quick to take a seat, the realisation that you never had a father figure making his cock impossibly harder. Knowing he could be that for you, and knowing you needed a strong man like him in your life to make all those decisions for you.
"I think i changed my mind, baby. Why don't you call me daddy from now on, mkay?" he spoke softly, yet the edge in his tone still clear.
"D-Daddy?" you muttered, confused as to why he would want you to call him that.
He moaned hearing your sweet voice call him by his new found title. Taking a deep breath, he sighed, choosing not to elaborate on his previous statement. "Good girl. I'm gonna' take care of you from now on, yeah? Anything you need, you come to me. Pass me your phone, sweet girl."
"Oh, i-i don't have a phone.. daddy."
Ari's eyebrows knit together softly "You don't have a phone? Why not?"
You shake your head, your cheeks flushing in embarrassment. "We uhm, w-we can't really afford that sort of stuff."
"Well that just won't do." he speaks in a teasing tone, tickling your waist making you giggle softly.
Suddenly a loud bang causes you to shoot upright, you quickly dash off Ari's lap, moving to stand away from him, his office door slamming shut as a tall moustached man enters. Your eyes widen in fright, knowing how violent the man standing infront of you truly was. You knew who he was too, Sare had told you plenty of stories about the cruel Lloyd Hansen. You often wondered if he even had a soul.
"Man it's fuckin' packed down there, what the fuck are you doing up here." the man groans, not even noticing you until he turns. He lifts his sunglasses, staring you down, his eyes scanning over your figure, pausing and licking his lips at the soft flesh beneath the cut of your dress, your pretty pink dress having ridden up your thighs.
"Lloyd." Ari bellows, sighing in annoyance at his disruption.
A smirk similar to Ari's appears on the man, Lloyd's, face. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" he speaks in a sultry voice. He begins his descent in your direction and the second gets a little too close, Ari shoots up out of his seat, moving to stand infront of you. A low rumble vibrating through his chest.
Ari stood slightly taller than Lloyd, with broader shoulders and thicker legs, the muscles in his back visible as he stood infront of you, almost as if he was protecting you, a hand wrapped around your hips rubbing his thumb in circular motions over your dress….and of course the most important detail, his luscious full beard compared to Lloyds 90s porn stache. They stared each other down, asserting some sort of dominance over one another… Ari seemingly winning as Lloyd begins to back up.
He lets out a chuckle, lifting his hands in a surrender position, taking a few steps back. "I mean no harm, just wanna' ask the pretty girl for her name, s'all."
You begin to quiver yet again, Lloyd's presence scaring you back into your shell. His dangerous aura sending goosebumps across your trembling figure. "I-I think i sh-should go." you whisper, tugging at the hem of your dress in a desperate attempt to calm your nerves.
"Don't move, sweets. Lloyd. Get the fuck out of here man." Ari bellows.
“I think you’ll find this club is mine just as much as it is yours, big bro. C’mon. Introduce me to the beauty.” he chucked yet again, probably at Ari’s fury. Steam was practically pouring out of his ears at this point. He didn’t even want Lloyd looking at you, nevermind talking to you.
“I mean it Lloyd get the fuck outta’ here man-“
Before he can stop you, you make a quick dash for the door and at the sound of Ari's resistance your legs carry you quicker than you could've ever imagined. Not looking back once as you pull the door open, swiftly shutting the door behind you.
You take a deep, your chest heaving at the stress of the situation, wiping your sweaty hands on your dress and making your descent down the club stairs, shaking your head in confusion and fear, eager to find your friends, craving their comfort and hearing a hushed "You fuckin' asshole." in the distance.

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT so light up their world, it shall be enjoyed by everyone.
PAIRINGS: no pairings but includes sumeru characters GENRE: modern au but still present in sumeru NOTE: if there's anything wrong here please correct me!! WORD COUNT: 1.7k
"The spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance."
.
.
"The time to destroy all our dark desires and thoughts, eradicate dark shadows and evils, and gives us the strength to carry on with our goodwill for the rest of the year."
.
.
"So.. can I use my sparkler to scare the evil away?"
Your eyes shifted to one of the kids present in your circle. A small smile formed on your face as you heard the question.
"Well.. yes you can-"
"CMON GUYS LET'S GO!"
"Oh.. at least they're in the spirit." You mumbled to yourself.
You rose from your seat and fixed your skirt. Your eyes lingered on the children, running away and enjoying the view of the sparklers in their hands. Just two minutes ago they were begging for some Diwali stories. Oh well!
"Y/N! You look so beautiful!"
Your attention on the children was moved as soon as you heard a new voice. Your head turned in the direction and noticed the elderly woman who stood right in front of you.
Her eyes shifted from your saree to your accessories, to your bindi. Admiring your beauty on the whole, giving you the warmest smile.
"Thank you ma'am," You replied, returning the smile. Your eyes wandered to her hand, actually to the item in her hand.
"Do you need help?" You asked, stretching out your hand. But to your surprise, the woman shook her head, yet still offering it to you.
"It's actually for you and your parents, your mother helped me once, this is my thanks." She explained, giving you the basket filled of sweets.
"Oh, thank you!"
You took the basket out of her hand and gave her yet another smile. Her eyes made their way onto your hand and offered a suggestion.
"If you want, I can offer to do your mehndi." Her body moved in the opposite direction, showing you a group of ladies who were conversing with each other while letting their mehndi dry.
Your eyes made their way back onto the woman and agreed to her offer, making your mini-departure and beginning your adventure back to your home, with sweets in hand.
The sun had already set, yet the city was not dark. It was lit up, beautiful lanterns everywhere, diyas being lit and placed at the entrances of homes. So your venture back home was well lit, not only with the lights but with the smiles of passersby and children outside who were enjoying the activities.
That elderly woman wasn't a stranger, in fact, everyone who's a local isn't strangers to each other. But that woman always offers gifts to your family every year, so it won't be shocking if your mother has a gift prepared for you to give the woman.
As your home was in view, your mother noticed you as she was opening the windows, in the hope of Mother Lakshmi finding her way inside to bless them with wealth and success.
"Y/N, you're back! Before you return back to the city, can you help me place the diyas around the house? And outside. Please!" Your mother informed you, opening the door for you.
You made your way inside and made it into the kitchen, greeting your father and witness the food on the table.
"I brought snacks, we can eat them later."
Your father nodded at your words, then asked a question.
"Are your friends still coming over?" He asked.
"Cyno and the others? Of course."
With those last words being spoken, your mini activity with your mother started, diyas placed around the house, more attraction for Mother Lakshmi.
Before you left the house once again, your mother gave you a basket of sweets to offer the elderly woman.
You made your way back to the city, gave the gift to the woman, and got your mehndi done as well! The ladies nearby invited you into their conversation as you let your hands dry.
In the end, once you were finished, you bid them goodbye and left.
On your mini walk, a certain someone caught your attention, she blended in with the children nearby. Talking about children, it's the group from earlier and upon noticing you, they invited you over.
.
.
"That looks amazing, good job guys!" You praised them. The group of children all came together to create rangoli, along with..
"Y/N?" A soft voice reached your ears.
"Nahida, hello." You greeted, bending a bit to reach her level, giving her a small pat on her head. Nahida wore a lehenga, a green one that complimented her eyes.
A small smile made its way onto her face as her eyes shifted from you and back to the children that surrounded her, witnessing the teamwork each kid put into creating the rangoli.
Nahida stood up from her spot and turned to face you.
"Is it time to go? I got caught up with them, I forgot about the invitation to your house." She started.
"No, it's not time, I'm just strolling and then I saw you!" You simply explained, causing the girl to nod at your words.
"Shall I join you?"
"Of course!"
You two then made your way deeper into the city, in hopes of maybe finding your friends along the way.
As you wished, the stroll with Nahida was indeed calming but in doing so, you met up with some familiar faces. That being Tighnari and Collei.
Upon seeing you both, Collei gave you two a cheerful wave as her face lit up. Tighnari noticed and began walking up, Collei slowly following behind.
"Is it time?" He asked. You shook your head no and asked a few questions.
"Have you seen the others?" You asked, though before you could've gotten an answer, Nilou came up from behind.
"I'm here!" She exclaimed, twirling in her saree. She gave you a tight hug, then turned you around, showing Cyno and Candace.
"Everyone's here!" You said, expressing your excitement with a bright smile and clasping your hands together.
"Since we're all together, won't it make sense we make our way back to your house?" Nahida asked, placing all the attention on her.
"Sure, we can." You replied.
The newly formed group of friends followed behind you as you all ventured back, that is.. Until something caught your eye, rather someone.
The group noticed the change in your behavior and stopped walking.
"Is something wrong?" Cyno asked, placing his hand on your shoulder.
You turned to face him, then your friends, and decided to change up the plans.
"Let's go back, but I have a suggestion to make."
"And that us?" Tighnari asked.
"I'll explain once we get back. let's go."
"May the lights of Diwali brighten your path and illuminate your life with peace and joy."
.
.
"Is everything ready?"
.
.
In your hands held a lantern, making your way with not only your friends but everyone you've talked to tonight, that elderly woman, the children, the ladies, and your parents, all holding diyas, lanterns, sweets, and tasty food.
The sight was wondrous, everyone came together yet the plan wasn't completed, not as yet.
You, being the first and the only person to notice, made your way to the dark and silent home, a bit far from the city's light. Silently, you rested the lantern on the floor and knocked on the door.
Knock!
.
.
"What do you want."
"For you to open up of course."
"Then you'll be waiting there all night long."
.
.
"You're still there aren't you..?"
"Mhm!"
Just then, you heard a sigh from the other side causing you to laugh a bit. You picked back up your lantern as he opened up the door, glaring at you.
"Why are you here? You're supposed to be enjoying the festival."
You smiled at the mention of the festival.
"I'm here to bring the festival to you Scaramouche."
"Why?"
"I saw you peeking in the darkness, I know you want to join in, but too scared to ruin it, is that what you're thinking?"
Indeed that is what he was exactly thinking. Yet he won't admit to that.
"Just go back." He ended, about to close the door but his eyes caught onto the light in the background, rather at how the light got closer..
Then it hit him.
"What are you.."
"Like I said, bringing the festival to you, everyone should enjoy the warmth of Diwali." You explained with a warm smile.
His eyes softened for a second yet he hid it with a sigh and walked off into the darkness, leaving his door open.
You accepted his silent invitation, before entering you hung the lantern up outside his home and walked in.
The darkness and silence were soon removed as everyone slowly made it inside. The children, along with Nahdia all came in with diyas, placing them around his home.
Your mother placed the food on the table, then made her way to open his windows.
Others with sweets and more food placed them on the table as well, joining the others as they all began to share them with everyone.
His eyes witnessed how slowly his house changed, light everywhere, friends and family inside and outside, all chatting and laughing.
You made your way towards him, holding a diya.
"Do you wanna decorate this?"
His eyes shifted onto you, and then asked a simple question.
"Why did you do this?"
You turned to face everyone, who had sparklers, who ate, and who were just enjoying the mood.
"Diwali is the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. It's celebrated with everyone, I won't allow anyone to be alone in darkness at a time like this."
"Hm." His eyes lingered on the children who decided to create a rangoli in the middle of his living room.
Nahida walked up to him with a sparkler in her hand.
"This represent the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance and evil, and also.." She started, grabbing his hand and walked outside.
Everyone followed behind, all making their way outside.
The sound of fireworks caught the attentions as it lit up the sky.
"These also represent the light." She finished.
Nilou, along with a few younger girls all danced around with their sparklers. Cyno, Tighnari and Collei enjoyed the sight of the fireworks.
"Happy Diwali." You said, turning to face the duo.
"Happy Diwali"
.
.
"Do you still wanna decorate this diya?"
"Yeah sure, whatever.."

(South) Indian Harry Potter Headcanons:
Harry knew he was Indian (mostly because the Dursley’s used to say racist shit to him) but he didn’t know where in India the potters were from until he went to Hogwarts. He finds out from the Patils, who were close with the potters because desis stick together.
The Patils are from the north and use Hindi to speak to each other. Neither of them knows Telugu/Tamil/Marathi/Malayalam/insert Southern language of choice here (I personally headcanon Telugu because it’s the only Indian language I speak and because there’s a huge diaspora of telugumandi in the west, but feel free to choose whatever you’d like). So Harry has to rediscover his heritage language on his own.
He also studies Sanskrit, and it opens up a HUGE world of spells that they don’t teach at Hogwarts (because of course Indian wizards don’t do spells in Latin). He and the Patils know a bunch of spells that nobody else does.
Harry’s pleat game is ON POINT. It makes sense, since he had to do all the chores at the Dursley’s and that includes perfectly folded and ironed laundry with the edges aligned neatly, or else he would risk being punished. But the result is that if you want your saree drape to pass the inspection of even the most judgemental auntie, you go to Harry to help with your pleats.
Even when they’ve graduated and all have their own homes, it’s a pretty regular sight for the Patil twins to come through Harry’s floo, half dressed, to have Harry pleat their sarees or their lehenga dupatta for them.
Harry LOVES spices. The dursleys only liked bland food, but Harry has always liked flavorful foods, and has no problem with (hot) spicy food either. He uses lots of spices in his own cooking now. His food is very flavorful, but when he’s cooking for himself, it’s too spicy for all his friends (even the Patils). So nobody can eat his leftovers unless he was specifically cooking with other people in mind. Ron learned this the first time he rummaged through Harry’s fridge after a night of drinking. Now Harry labels all his food as to whether or not it’s “Harry spicy”.
James LOVED to buy Lily sarees. He’d order them with custom, wizard-themed designs from weaving villages in south India. The women who made them assumed he was just very imaginative, so he wasn’t violating the statute of secrecy since saree patterns are often vibrant and unique. Harry finds some of them in the old potter manor, and they still smell like the perfumes and scented oils his mother would wear when James took her to the local temple for Hindu holidays.
Indian witches often store extra magic in or enchant pieces of their copious jewelry with spells that can keep them safe if they’re ever in a situation where they don’t have their wands. stuff like, each bangle can function as an emergency portkey that can take you to different safe locations if you say the activation word, or ones that create an instant magical shield when you tap them. Harry finds some of his mothers gajulu, gives them to his female friends.
He ties Rhaki on Ron and Neville, and all the weasley boys. Ron was the first person he ever tied it on, because Ron was the first person who he ever bonded with, and his closest brother.
Harry always cooks idli sambar or dosa for his friends for breakfast the next morning after a night of drinking together, and it’s the perfect hangover food because it definitely brings you back to full alertness/knocks the last bit of post-hangover grogginess right out of your system.
Harry’s parselmouth abilities are valued in his native culture because of the sacredness of snakes in Hinduism, and it comes to be something he’s really proud of (personally I think the ‘parselmouth connected to the horcrux’ thing is dumb, so I’ve always imagined Harry was just naturally a parselmouth).
As the number of Indian immigrants/expats continues to grow after they graduate, Harry helps some of his students (he’s the DADA teacher) start the Hogwarts “South Asian Student Union”.
He always has snacks out for his students when they come to visit his office hours, and they’re all Indian snacks and sweets. His personal favorite is kaju barfi, but he always has a good variety of both sweet and spicy treats, especially for stressed out owl and newts students.
He collaborates with Hermione, who works in the ministry, to make it mandatory for Hogwarts students to a “foreign magical language” course so they can broaden both their minds and their spell repertoires. Padma Patil becomes the “Sanskrit Spells” teacher, and Seamus teaches “Irish Gaelic”. (It took him a little longer to get his course started, since it turns out that at least 40% of Gaelic spells are just increasingly complicated and violent ways to repel the English).

Navigation | "Say you'll remember me" | "Standin' in a nice dress" | "Starin' at the sunset" | ..babe"
The first four days of doing absolutely nothing in Goa felt amazing. Waking up late had never felt so good. The sun was warm but not overbearingly hot. And the cool winds in the evening provided the perfect opportunity for wearing those long cotton skirts plastered all over your beach moodboard.
You had nearly forgotten about the Monegasque you met on the train. Nearly. It was a quiet evening before a long next day when you remembered the cute foreigner. It was a unanimous decision to go to the beach where most of your friends dipped their feet in the rising tide while you and another friend sat and enjoyed the sunset. Reminiscing about the mysterious driver made you want to talk about him more to your best friend, Sarah, but after coming to the beach, she got lost in a crowd of people. She texted you saying she met someone and was having an interesting conversation. You wished that you were the person she was having a conversation with instead of a stranger she just met.
You soon forgot about Charles just as quickly though when your group called you and the other girl to the water. You got up and ran towards the incoming waves, hair being blown back by the salty winds.
The next day you got up extremely early. The wedding was at nine in the morning, for some reason.
The dress code was traditional Indian wear, and since you were the only one who could do it, you became the dedicated saree draper. You barely had an hour for yourself to get ready. By some miracle, your makeup, hair, saree and jewellery were ready in time.
The wedding was beautiful. The first half of the wedding took place in a temple in the south of Goa. 8:30 in the morning you and all of your friends were surprisingly ready and sitting in the two cars and driving to the temple. Reaching just about on time, you saw that most of the venue was empty. You mentally face-palmed yourself. The group found a table and settled there, all the purses and water bottles were left on the chairs surrounding the table.
About half an hour later the wedding party arrived along with the pandit and the families of the bride and groom. A few of the bride’s relatives were going around and handing the women long, fresh gajras. Sarah carried a bunch of booby pins with her, and helped all the women in the group, including you, with pinning the gajra to their hair. Some left their hair open while others had an updo. You had styled your hair in a way you knew would look good no matter what.
The wedding continued. There wasn’t much that happened. Rituals were conducted, poojas were repeated and everyone was sweating horribly due to the humidity. The only thing keeping you from smelling like a pig was the powerful fragrance of the gajra. By around 12:30 pm, the wedding was more or less done. Your group scurried to be among the first to greet the newlywed couple and give the gifts. Everyone was hungry, and since there was going to be an evening extension of the wedding, no one really bothered to say ‘congratulations.’ The group gave their gifts, took 2 photos and left in a hurry to grab chorizo sandwiches from a cafe across the street.
Thankfully in the evening, the dress code was not as strict. Meaning, that the grandparents and family elders were not there, allowing the newlywed’s friends and younger family members to wear western clothes. But you did not know this when you packed. All you had was traditional party wear.
“Konse kapde hai tere paas?” you asked as you walked into your shared room with Sarah. The girl just looked up from her phone with a confused expression. “Kya?”
“Mere paas aaj shaam ke liye kapde nahi hai,” you complained as you started looking through her suitcase trying to find a dress you liked.
“Woh blue off-shoulder wala dress hai, pehenle.” she dismissed you and went back to texting on her phone.
You knew exactly what dress she was talking about and promptly found it. It was a baby blue off-the-shoulder dress with beautiful white flowers all over it and a tie-up in the front. You put the dress on, sat under the fan and began redoing your makeup for the evening. Your hair was behaving, so all you had to do was fluff it with your hands. Small butterfly earrings, a matching white butterfly-studded choker and a modern kada with the same butterfly decorating it; this was a jewellery set you were gifted on your birthday by Sarah herself. You thought that this was the perfect occasion to wear it. You had white heels to match along with a sling bag.
Using your shoes as an excuse, you managed to convince one of the guys to drive instead. It was an hour before sunset when your car reached its destination. It was a lovely open area with a dance floor near the sea. You could hear the waves crash against the land as you walked to the entrance. The first thing that your entire group did was to go up to the couple, who were good friends of yours, to congratulate them and take photos. The next stop was the snack counter for a little energy boost before the dancefloor opened up.
The newlyweds had their first dance to a very sweet song. Just as the song ended, the DJ switched it up to more upbeat tunes which got the entire crowd dancing. While you were dancing you saw and met many people who you had not seen in years, including some of your old school friends, a few of them complimented your jewellery. There was this one guy you had a crush on during your school years who revealed he also liked you at that time. Some old classmates admitted to not liking you at all. Basically, within the first 45 minutes of dancing you wished you were back in your room. But then a different song started playing and you coupled up with Sarah as the MC wanted people to find a partner. You did a funny version of the macarena. You did some line dances followed by some jiving music.
It had been two hours of dancing, two hours of hearing different bollywood songs, maria pitache 3 different times, some punjabi and tamil songs, and english bops like shape of you and baby. You were sweating horribly by then and wanted to go get a seat right when you heard the iconic ‘pretty lady, pretty lady, pretty lady’ and took a u-turn back to the dance floor.
Just as the song reached the line ‘bareli ke bazaar mein’, you stretched your arm out and turned. You felt your arm lightly hitting someone. When you went to pull your arm back, instead, you got tugged and ended up colliding with someone. Apologies started to pour out of you, as best they could over the loud music. Your butterfly kada got caught on a piece of a chain that was stitched to the man’s kurta. The bridge of the song was playing in the background as you looked up and saw that very face you were dreaming about at night during the past four days.
To say that Charles was surprised when he saw you was an understatement. His left hand was on your wrist, and the other was held by his stomach. You both kept looking at each other and back down at where the pair of you were connected. The song shifted to the intro of Hookah Bar.
“What are you doing here?” he asked.
“Me?! What the hell are you doing here?”
You both just kept staring at each other, your eyes seeming to be in a fight, trying to determine who has to answer the question first. You got fed up first and pushed your way out of the dancing crowd, Charles having no option but to be dragged by you and your butterfly kada.
You reached a more quiet corner when you said, “I was invited to this afterparty. The bride and groom are my school friends whom I haven’t met in a few years. Your turn.”
He took a breath in before answering, “My brother said that he knew an authentic Indian party we could attend and my family trusted him.”
You bore a look of bewilderment on your face. “You know what, I am gonna ignore what you just said. I am happy to see you here, regardless of why you ended up here.” Charles breathed out a happy sigh and smiled. God, his smile was even better than you remember it. You moved to give him a hug when you were reminded that your kada was still stuck to his kurta. Damn, he looks good in Indian clothes, the colour goes really well with his ey-
Your thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of Charles’ warm hands over yours, carefully untangling the chain from the butterfly. Your hand was finally by your side and you were smiling widely at him when he pulled you in for a hug.
The hug felt nice. It was not common for you to be hugged by a guy, so it felt nice. At that moment your mind flashed back to the ‘relationship’ you had in school where you fell for the attractive guy in your class who turned out to be an asshole who was openly dating someone else. It is not really that deep, but it made you think whether you were going to make that same mistake again because Charles is extremely attractive. And whether it was going to be an even bigger deal because you are no longer 14 years old, but an adult with a job and big girl responsibilities.
Charles was the one to break the hug. Pulling back, he saw the look of doubt on your face. “Y/n are you alright?” he asked. You nodded while taking in a large breath. “Have you had dinner yet?” you say trying to change the conversation. “No, I have not. But I am excited to try the local food.”
You told him to come with you. Taking the brunette to the Goan dinner counter you showed him all the different foods and explained what the food was made of. You took some of your favourite foods that you spotted. He ended up with rice, fish curry, prawns, crab legs and a bowl of dahi you secretly took just in case. 5 bites in and he was trying his very best to hide from you just how much he was feeling the spice. You laughed and took pity on him, “Here, this will help” you said while passing him the bowl of cold dahi. He managed a ‘thankyou’ in between coughs due to the spice and finished about half the bowl.
In between your small talk with Charles, the MC came up to you and whispered in your ear. The Monegasque looked confused but didn’t question you. “Are any of your family members around? I need to go somewhere, and I don’t want to leave you alone.” Charles replied that he could call his brother. With that confirmation, you gave him your bowl of dahi and left, passing by his brother whom you greeted. Little did Charles know that you were heading to a changing room with hired anarkalis and ghagra cholis.
About 10 minutes later, the stage where the couple were previously seated began filling up with smoke as the MC gave a monologue. The beginning of a song started playing just when he finished speaking. All of a sudden the lights went off as the sound of lightning played, leaving chills all over the guests' arms, legs and necks. The lights come on and there stood on the stage are women from your school and college who were known for their dancing skills, you standing front and centre.
All that could be seen were the silhouettes of all the ladies. The music began, and the sound of a woman singing in a high pitch was heard loudly on the speakers. You were mouthing the words Shreya Ghoshal sang. As the upbeat tune of ‘Radha’ began, each woman stepped forward and gave a step in time with the music and lyrics. The crowd was loudly cheering everyone on. Charles was mesmerized watching you. He didn’t know you could dance. But now that he saw you dancing, he never wanted to take his eyes off of you. Never wanted you to stop moving your body in that rhythmic, captivating way.
With the addition of the best man and the groomsmen on stage, the crowd went wild. They were all great dancers back in college, not losing touch with that side of them. The best man was your dance partner when it came to competitions and events. You guys were shipped together, but he was already dating his now wife back then. And just like back then, he joined you front and centre, not missing a single beat when doing your old handshake.
The way he stood behind you and let his hand fall from your ear during the line ‘o radha tera jhumka’ and the way his hand hovered (at an appropriate distance) over your hip during the line ‘o radha tera thumka’ and the way he followed behind you like a puppy, holding your dupatta during the line ‘o peeche peeche saari nagariyaan’, it got Charles feeling some type of way. He’s only met you one time before, why is he feeling like this? And that dude is married for fuck’s sake! WHY IS HE FEELING JEALOUS?!!??!
The last line of the chorus played and as the men twirled and stood behind the women, came the first line of one of the sexiest songs alive. ‘Main ruthiya yaar manawangi…’ The lights dimmed, the focus was again mainly on you and the crowd shrieked so loud Charles thought his eardrum might break. Part of the costume came off, showing off more skin and allowing for easier and more movement.
Your legs showed through the slit as you bent your knees sideways and tend stood back up, leaving the Monegasque’s eyes bulging and mouth open while the crowd wolf-whistles.
‘Mere maahiya sanam jaanam’ had the crowd going insane as your shiny waist chain blinged underneath the expensive lights and made the party feel 10 times hotter.
Charles swore in French, a word he doesn’t use often but which was almost too fitting for this moment.
The hair flips, the arm movements, the rolling on the ground and the structure of your leg which was on full display when you stood up, all this was more than enough to hypnotise the driver. He was in a trance, under a spell, fixated on you and only you, his dahi a lukewarm forgotten bowl.
‘Dariya dariya mere yaara’, the lights flashed everywhere, temporarily blinding everyone. But the sight that was waiting for them would definitely be worth it. For those 3 seconds where no one could see the stage, everyone’s position changed. You were kneeling on the best man’s shoulders, while he was standing up straight. You’re friends who were also watching and cheering you on lost it, along with the guests. Even though Sarah had seen most of the practice, she hadn’t seen this part, and it shocked her. She took a video of the entire song to show you later.
‘Akhiyan de mohalle mein, har shaam tera aalam’ The body rolls and hip sways broke Charles. He understood zero of what the song said, but the vibe of everything was more than enough to make it feel as if his entire body was on fire. The way you gripped onto the best man’s hair to avoid falling had him falling hard for you.
You allowed yourself to fall face first but caught yourself with your hands and proceeded to do a front-facing cartwheel, landing a mere 10 cm from the edge of the stage. Now kneeling you completed the remaining steps of the song before it changed into another. As the song changed, all the women were lying back on their hands and were then dragged away backwards by the men, who were performing next.
Once exiting the stage you stayed near the stage to watch the rest of the performance. The guests were filled with life, the energy only increasing. About 20 minutes later when the performance was done, all the dancers from all the different dances went up on the stage, music never stopping. You, the best man, the bridegroom and a few of the other main dancers were standing in the centre. ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ played as everyone did the hookstep.
Charles managed to catch your eye in the middle of it all. You both maintained eye contact. It broke when you were pulled down by the bride for a photo. Once the whole show was done, you got off the stage with the objective of finding Charles. But he was nowhere to be found. You came to the conclusion that he probably left since it was quite late. You and your friends were nowhere near done with partying since that was the point of coming to Goa. This was one hell of a Christmas Eve.
A/N - Please bully me into writing and posting the remaining parts before this year ends🙏🏽 Hope you enjoyed reading🩷

For the ask game: do your durge and gortash coordinate clothes?
I wanted to get at this when I had time cause it's a bit of a long multifaceted answer that I have spent way too long contemplating because im obsessed with fashion. I'll include some art and photos because I'm extra. but the short answer is yes.
Gortash is prone to wearing luxury Baldurian fashions in black and red with gold accents.
Achaia wears the same red and golds but is more prone to wearing white before he and Gortash become an item, and he switches to black afterwards. His fashion however is very much loose flowing art silks, folded in a dhoti style for his pants, if he wears a shirt it's a kurta style tunic. He'll wear sarees and dresses, anything flowy that's beautiful when he's moving around.
Gortash will occasionally add a long silk shawl in a matching color to his own outfits to tie their looks together. And once in a while Gortash can get Achaia in a high collared Baldurian jacket.
After the events of the game if he rejects Bhaal and destroys the brain, Achaia swaps his red primary color for a fuschia to match his new eyes, which are orchid pink, tho he keeps the golds and blacks to match Gortash(who has to be alive or Achaia takes control of the brain to go get his man, at which point he keeps the reds regardless)
After he rejects Bhaal Achaia does have a bit of a fashion crisis because he sees a lot of his clothing tying him to much to a man he can't remember being but his fashion preferences win out eventually. Also Gortash loves the easy access the folded silk pants give him.
Under the cut I'll include some of the outfit inspirations I use when I'm working on Achaia's looks
I like to think that by the time Achaia is dressing in the pinks and fuschia's that match his eyes, Gortash is also replacing the reds in his own outfits so they match.
And this is actually how they look if Gortash ascends to Demi-godhood and Achaia becomes his chosen

Hell yes it is oc time babey!!! This is my togruta oc, Yora Tos, who was Brea's master when she was but a young padawan learner! 💖🫶💖
She was never offered a spot on the jedi council due to her being a little too new-age but she loved younglings and was perfectly happy teaching the next generation! Her personality was incredibly laid-back, and when little firecracker Brea was assigned to her, the council was hoping she might be able to calm the young one a little. Unfortunately for them, Yora had a very hands-off 'children will be children' attitude that gave Brea a LOT of freedom instead 😂 she wasn't UNWILLING to discipline her, but she did think Brea would benefit more from learning the consequences of her actions firsthand rather than reprimanding her too often, which eventually she did learn! The two remained very close even after Brea's knightship and I think Yora would have loved to take on other padawan after that, but the war sort of got in the way.
Her features are very soft, her gentle nature is reflected in her rounded patterns as opposed to the usually sharp-edged togruta patterns. Her colors are mainly cool, including her kyber crystal, as I think of her personality being much like flowing water and I wanted that to show it in her design. Her lightsaber also has a tulip-bud tip that I saw in the cartoon saloon star wars short 'Screechers Reach' and thought would be very fitting for her! Her first outfit design was kimono inspired but I decided to go the saree route instead in the second pic!

No Food to Gaza, then No Red Sea – Ansarallah in Yemen Just Changed the Rules, again
As a sign of growing confidence, the Yemeni Armed Forces – affiliated with the Ansarallah group – have vowed to target every cargo ship heading to Israel, regardless of its nationality and who operates it.
The group said that the decision is part of its continued solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is undergoing a genocidal Israeli war that killed and wounded tens of thousands of Palestinians. After limiting its action in the Red Sea by only targeting Israeli ships, the Ansarallah group announced on Saturday that it was expanding its operations to include every ship heading to Israel, regardless of its nationality. In a statement, the group’s military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said that “any ships heading to the Zionist entity will be a legitimate target.” “We announce that ships bound for the Zionist entity will not pass through if food and medicine do not enter the Gaza Strip,” he said.

Sangeet Night
A Sangeet ceremony is an important part of Indian weddings – it’s like a pre-wedding reception where friends and family ceremonially welcome the couple into their lives and wish them the best for their future. This welcoming celebration often includes lots of dancing and music, religious traditions, ethnic games, ceremonial attires, delicious food, and more! A typical Sangeet ceremony involves music and dancing, typically in the form of a dance-off between the bride and groom’s families. There are also religious rituals such as a havan or puja to bless the couple and their upcoming union, as well as traditional games they can engage in together. The dress code is usually festive – bright colors and traditional sarees or lenghas for women, while men usually wear kurtas or Sherwanis.

So there is a house in my neighborhood that has been lit up for the past 6 days. It's the groom's house. He married his 17-year-long sweetheart. The boy, who had promised to marry her since childhood love, is now a barrister. His wife is a doctor. They're successful. Behind their success stands the boy's father, who supported them.
The father was protective, ensuring the boy didn't get involved with anyone else, fearing he might stray. He even enrolled his son in university and would drop him off and pick him up. He treated the girl like his own daughter, never allowing her to visit the boy's house until the wedding.
The girl's parents had secretly finalized everything with the boy's father. Neither the boy nor the girl knew. It was as if they were cautious to avoid any immoral relationship. The girl loves her father-in-law dearly.
After everything, their wedding date was fixed last Friday. Their wedding arrangements left us mesmerized. The girl is exactly what the father-in-law wanted - perfect in every way. He personally shopped for everything, taking his would-be daughter along.
He planned to fulfill her every dream; his biggest dream was to bring her home. The wedding lights would stay on for seven days at his house! He had finalized everything, including centering all arrangements.
A week before the wedding, everything was set. On Tuesday morning, lighting would begin at home. But on Monday night... the boy's father passed away before seeing his dream come true! I was stunned by the news!
The girl was senseless, and the boy was frantic! All plans, arrangements, and dreams were shattered in an instant! A beautifully decorated car was supposed to enter the house - the wedding car! Instead, a hearse entered... Stroke took his life in just five minutes!
Is all worldly planning an illusion?! The boy got married last Friday at the mosque with the imam. The bride didn't wear a saree or dress up. They spent the whole day beside his father's grave.
The house has been lit up since Saturday! The boy intentionally told everyone to keep the lights on!
The boy married last Friday, and they're still grieving. The wedding decorations still stand, now a poignant reminder of the father's passing. The boy's words echo: "Keep the lights on."

• I'm visiting my hometown and there was a major festival called Durga Puja a few days ago and so it made me think why not write something about it which includes my ultimate bias Bang Chan.
• Here Bang Chan is not a Stray Kids member, just a regular boy.
• Where my desi Stays at ?
• Anyways for context Durga Puja, is an annual festival originating in the Indian subcontinent which reveres and pays homage to the Hindu goddess Durga, and is also celebrated because of Durga's victory over the demon Mahishasura.
• You had met your best friend Chan when you went to study MBA in a reputed Australian university. Despite your cultural differences y'all became fast friends, bonding over similar music tastes.
• Your other friends there called you things like "two peas in a pod" and "everlasting friends", one never leaving the other alone.
• He was always in awe of your Indian/Bengali culture. You were one of those who took immense pride in their culture, never one to shy away about being Indian. He was always asking you questions about your culture and you found his curiosity really impressive and daresay, cute.
• So naturally after you went back home after your MBA y'all kept in touch for a year when it finally occurred to you that you missed your best friend and texting and video calling just wasn't enough.
• So you invited him over after informing your parents. Your Indian parents raised their eyebrow at first at you at the idea of a "forsha chele" (white guy) and after bombarding multiple questions at you about Chan like "what does he do?","what are his future plans?""do you like this boy?","where did you two meet in University, you went to befriend boys in the university instead of studying?"(at which you rolled your eyes) , your parents hesitantly agreed to have him over.
• This was Chan's first trip to a foreign country and he was excited to go meet with his best friend whom he missed a ton too.
• His flight landed at 5pm on a Tuesday in the Indian time and soon y'all headed to your home in Kolkata. The city was full of colorful banners and people, all busy shopping for the upcoming festival.
• "Wow it's crowded", Chan giggled, "but I like the smell of this flower that I'm getting, it's strong but pleasant". "You'll find this saptaparni flower growing only during this time Channie", you explain, as you go shopping after some time for some Indian attire.
• He shyly asked to try out Indian attire and you pleasantly surprised at the request. So you took him out shopping, with your protective parents in tow, who were smitten with Chan since his first "Nomoshkar" (Bengali version of Namaste, a form of Indian greeting) with folded hands. They eagerly helped the shy and overwhelmed Chan choose his outfits and you felt for a second as if he was their child and not you and you found it adorable how well he was getting along with your parents.
• Soon the days of the festival finally arrived. You had heart eyes seeing Chan in traditional attire and can't help but blush a bit at the sight of your best friend, but you'd never admit it to him, yet you showered the shy boy with compliments and he giggled cutely and went "naurrrr" and hid his face in his hands.
• He, too, was blushing and gushing at how beautiful you looked in a saree. This was his first time seeing you in Indian attire too
• For five days straight, you went to different pandals in the city. (pandal is a large, temporary, open-sided tent that is often used for religious or other gathering). He was in awe of their exquisite artwork and the decorations and fairy lights and the goddess idols displayed. He was constantly taking photos and videos on his phone. He even took goofy ,silly selfies with you.
• You were too concentrated on his childlike awe at everything going on. You had never seen him like this before and secretly you found it too too adorable.
• Then came the street food, poor boy couldn't handle too much spice but luckily you had carried some small chocolates and water with you, knowing this could be an issue. As the days went by, he had tried a lot of Indian dishes and Bengali sweets as well.
• Even the friends from your locality were smitten by this boy's charms.
• On the day of the immersion of the idol, he had joined you in dancing to the upbeat music of the band playing along with the drummers. He was feeling shy at first but you pouted "pleaseee" and how could he say no to your puppy eyes especially with you looking that beautiful in your black saree.
• Soon it was time for him to go back to Australia and you were feeling down as you didn't know when you'd meet next. Your parents packed him lots of Indian food for him and told him to go safely and call you as soon as he landed so they knew he'd be safe.
• You hugged Chan on the roof of your house, crying as you didn't want to let him go and he gently rubbed your hair whispering things like "I'll be back Y/N",don't cry please it breaks my heart".
• You hugged Chan tightly again outside the airport despite the other passengers giving you both weird looks and Channie planted a sweet kiss on your cheek which made you blush and smiled at you one last time and stepped inside the airport, waving at you.
Pdhajwisuyeja I wrote ittt finally I don't know what was I thinking ahhhh 🫣🫣.

The tea about the blogs who only post abt girls pls giveeeeeee pls pls pls plss some of use are oblivious
Girllllllll sit sit we have some tea
Okay so here's the thing, in that particular post, I was mostly talking about a singular person and not too many other people. Dekho, we all know how most boys on Tumblr are. The whole "I liked this girl and I don't have her anymore and I'm upset about it"? (Not talking about the rare pookie boys ofc ofc) (my guy included in the pookie boys because he's my pookie)
So, i suddenly saw this one blog on my dash. He was saying something and comparing girls between the ICSE and CBSE boards about their "hotness". It was very derogatory but I ignored it because ofc we've seen it all huh? Then, because I'm a curious bitch, I opened the tags. I kid you not, the tags were "#desiblr #desi Tumblr #desi girls #desi academia.......#narendra modi"
Now. You all know me. I'm a petty bitch. I laughed at the thing, knowing he's using the last tag for reach since it was fairly after the elections results. I scrolled a bit, and saw another post, something about how girls crowd jhumkha stalls but never buy it. It sounded extremely derogatory. I checked the tags, now for the fun of it. Lo and behold. "#Narendra Modi." Now, i don't claim to be an expert on a lot of things but I'm pretty sure our Prime Minister doesn't have jurisdiction over this particular topic.
I let it be and even forgot about it. Then, I saw another post and that was my leash snapping. The same person, had posted something about how he was talking to this Tumblr hot girl but now that he's talked to her, he doesn't find her hot anymore. Not with the "#Narendra Modi" because the guy didn't want that particular post to be famous.
As any reasonable girl on Tumblr does, i stalked his profile. First of all, even his bio was arrogant. Now that wouldn't do. But. Every post was about girls. Each. One. Of. Them.
Girls with jhumkhas, girls with laal saree, girls on Tumblr. You name it, he said it. And then. The proverbial last straw. I saw a post where he was flexing ki a girl who has "no DMs" in her bio is pleading in his DMs.
I saw some other blogs noticing the same thing too, so i knew I wasn't the only one reading too much into this.
Fir aur kya? I made a post, hoped that he'd understand and stfu.

I was also inspired to sketch integra in some sarees by @xlownenbemy
I think the silhouette + fact that many styles include pants suits her very well
One to the far right is a very modern interpretation I found on Google lol

Umm, there's something that's been going on in my head I can't stop thinking about it okay. All of Matt's fics (and I mean it, ALL OF THEM) mention and describe that Matt only sleeps on silk sheets because normal fabrics irritate his skin. My point now is that, I've watched the show like 5 or 6 times this year only, and I've never heard anyone mentioning the silk sheets, plus the scenes that include his bedroom never has any silk in them:
These textures are definitely not silk, who made this silk propaganda??? 🤣
Also I've seen posts says that his skin gets irritated by cotton, like -ugh- cotton is actually one of the most skin friendly fabrics and is actually used in newborns clothing industry —who have the most sensitive skin ever irl—
AND PLUS, EVERYTHING MATT WEARS IS COTTON, HIS BOXER SHORTS HIS SHIRTS HIS T-SHIRTS AND SLACKS LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE WEARS IS 90% (IF NOT 100%) COTTON!!!!!
Matt's t-shirt when Karen comes to see him: cotton
Matt's black vigilante suit: cotton
Matt's white t-shirt in Elektra's dream: cotton
Matt's dress shirts: cotton (might contain other fabrics but 95% of the shirts material is mainly cotton)
Matt's bed sheets: cotton
Matt's snuggly outfit: cotton
In conclusion, Matt often wears cotton, not silk.
And yes I've prepared myself for the "but maybe cotton is mixed with silk" there is a type of fabric called mashru, which is a hybrid of both silk and cotton, it exists, but it's so different looking (the sheets might be mashru, maybe the suit shirts too, but everything else is cotton).
Mashru is so so so light, a bit transparent sometimes, and it has a bit of shine in it (often tending to silk) I've seen it often in scarfs, sarees, dresses, mostly feminine clothing, maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, but I've been into fabrics since I was a kid and I know cotton when I see it 🤣🤣🤣
I feel so silly posting this

hello! im a huge fan of dotty and have been for a couple years now. what what your design process for her like? can we see some earlier concepts/progress pics?
Ah Tyty! I don’t have a ton of design stuff for Dot bc she was made pretty quickly for a campaign in 2020 but I’ll pull what I can
Apologies for the shit phone photos I had to dig through old college notebooks for these lol. Anyways the original inspo for Dot came from a conversation my sister and I had about CR’s Percy and his teifling kid and how cool a rich girl gunslinging teifling would be. My first few passes at Dotty were very whimsical steampunk but I eventually decided I wanted her to have a more elegant silhouette. I also wanted her to have short little velvety horns that never grew in all the way, kinda like a baby deer
I ended up pulling a lot more from 1900s and 1950s style and mixed in a bunch of belts to make it fantasy I also wanted to do a darker color pallet bc you don’t usually see that on hero type characters. It was actually my DM at the time and her world building that lead me to the desi part of her design/backstory.
In Dots original game the DM fashioned her her home country as inspired by India during British occupation. Dotty was pushed by her family to conform to “common” (western) standards, including changing her name (her birth name is actually Dipti! And her cousins name is Rajesh)
I added the saree to her final design after it was gifted to her in game by her mom and gave her some porcelain pistols to match (tho those didn’t make it into baulders gate haha)
