I think we all sort of know that Inazuma Eleven can get a bit weird (time travel, fake aliens, actual aliens, I could go on), but you don't fully realize how weird.
Until a friend asks you who Nanobana Kinako is.

somebody said soccer children!!
recently, i've been rewatching inazuma 11. it's such a nostalgic show for me, especially the first few seasons. (tho honestly, i'm not sure I ever watched much of season 3? ... guess i'll find out!!) anyway, these Endous (and one Kidou) are redraws of this 2016 art. there's something both fascinating and encouraging about redrawing old art, and i love seeing the growth and change in my art style!

The first match Raimon plays after the aliea incident is a friendly match against Teikoku.
Everyone is excited to get back on the field. To actually play soccer for fun instead of making it a war.
Teikoku attacks first. Endou defends. When he throws the ball back into the field, he accidently hits Kazuki with it in the stomach. He doubles over and spits up blood.
It's a mess, but Teikoku brushes it off as a freak accident. They insist on moving on with the game.
Wataru intercepts one of Kidou's passes and collapses clutching his leg. Later, they find out it's broken. When Genda catches Gouenji's shot, he crumbles to the floor and has to be rushed to the hospital.
Later, Hitomiko calls them, pale faced.
The ball used on the game against Genesis weighted over 10 kilos.
Somewhere along the way, they had changed. Pushed themselves too far. It was a sacrifice they made, to reach the level of enhanced humans that brought buildings to the ground with a few kicks. They had beaten them, and that took power.
Even members like Kazemaru and Someoka, who had to leave, were on a different level. Kazemaru could outrun a car.
It takes months of physical therapy, contioning and even medication for them to have government clearence to participate in the FFI.

Let’s talk about
“Shindou Takuto/ Riccardo Di Rigo”
Tumblr media
〘Who is he?〙
Shindou Takuto (Riccardo Di Rigo in EU) is one of the main characters in Inazuma Eleven GO.
He's introduced as Raimon's football captain in the GO saga. He starts off with a serious demanour, emotional, frustasted due to the new regulations thanks to SEED (Fifth Sector). As a MD, he's the team's strategist, showing his intelillence and ability to lead the team in a way no other could. Thanks to Tenma (Arion) he rebels agaisnt SEED and starts the rebolution with Tenma, Samguk, Kirino and Shinsuke, later making the whole team follow them.
Tumblr media
Gif de 0zrockbitway
〘A missundertood character〙
Not gonna lie, I hated this character when I first watched GO. I found him frustating and irrationaly angry with Tenma all the time. Always crying, not letting Tenma help the team. But the older I got, the more I loved him.
Shindou is a great character overall. His anger and frustations where very valid and showed how much he cared about the team. Sure, Tenma wanted to play football, but Shindou was putting the team before his own passion. He didn't want Raimon to close as a pusnishment for not following SEED's orders. It's amazing how the series captures his anger and sadness with the situation. Out of everyone in the team he's the only one that externalise the most his emotions and that's amazing. I love seeing passionate character that not only show positive emotions (like Endou or Tenma), but more realistic reactions like anger, frustation, sadness, annoyance...
The people that call him a crybaby really don't understand his position and should have a double-check.
Tumblr media
〘The importance of balance〙
I might be cancelled for this, but Shindou is Raimon's best captain. Yes, over Endou.
Don't get me wrong, I love Endou, but there's something about Shindou that makes him special: his balance.
As I mentioned earlier, he's the character that externalise the most different emotions, from anger to excitement. But he's also a great tactitian, showing how intelligent he's as a player and as a character in general. He's like a Endou mix with Kidou.
He's a smart character that leads the team with realistic expectations.
His struggle about his own perception, what really ment being a captain was amazing. Developed a character that seemed ruthless and broke him to show how great he is. He also knew not everyone would follow him to rebel, he had only 4 players on his side and still lead them to the first victory agaisnt SEED. He also learns about balance while plaing in Chrono Stone. Nobunaga was really a match made in heaven for Shindou. This season also shows more of his determination to save the football. The fact that he was the only Chrono Storm player in the second match of Ragnarok, the captain and lead to the only win in the tournament showed us once again how Shindou manages to analise and come with the best strategies. He brings the best of the team. In Galaxy, he was the realest character. I found Tenma's constant positive actitude annoying and forced, Tsurugi was just...there. But Shindou? The only one that represented us: anger, frustation and annoyance. The way he taught lessons to Ibuki was refressing, he did not showed with the power of friendship, but through actions. Showing the importance of teamwork once again.
Tumblr media
〘Ruined by plot〙
Eventhough he's arguably the best character in the whole series, he still was a lil bit ruined.
Not having him as a captain again in Season 2 was a mistake for me. Ruined the opportunity to have a captain different from the emotional support one. Tenma is not a good captain, and as said in Galaxy, I also agree that being captain holds Tenma back.
True that Tenma is an emotional support, but Shindou just leds the team better. He has a very natural leader aura and personality
And eventhough I still loved him in Galaxy, his character was ruined to favor the new ones and was pushed aside (even if he's supossed to be in the main trio).
Tumblr media
〘Final thoughts〙
Shindou is one the best Inazuma chatacter with the best development.
The best Raimon captain in the series for me. Showing the importance of passion, motivation with intelligence and realness only the _Virtuoso_ could. A character that struggled seeing his own value as a captain. A character that no matter what, he will always bring the best of the team for the victory.
I love him <3

I don't know why, but there's something about this scene from the OG series that bothers me, I don't even know how to describe it.
!!SPOILERS FOR INAZUMA ELEVEN SEASON 2 EPISODE 46!!
Maybe it was the way Atsuya spoke like that? Idk, but something tells me that if Inazuma Eleven wasn't a kid's show, he would've said something much darker.

OK OK SO
Inazuma Eleven. Good anime about soccer. And like anime, its very interesting and cool and it's about the power of friendship! And all of the characters are very queer coded and nd coded and they're literally Team as A Family and Found Family.
The players are all superpowered and insane and i love them all dearly
Season 1 is about the main team getting into the FF, and them nearly dying along the way! The final team they had to face was a bunch of kids who were totally NOT drugged to be crazy strong (i say clenching my fists and griting my teeth) and those kids have a god complex
Season 2? Oh honey, this one is insane. TL;DR, a bunch of "Aliens" came down and started destroying schools, the main team went out on a mission to be the best team to beat these "Aliens"
In this season the following are canon/was implied;
Multiple characters having mental breaks
Child experimentations
Forced amnesia
Emotional manipulation
Gaslighting
Suicidal Ideations(??)
Survivals Guilt
Ptsd(?)
Plurality
Whatever the fuck Kiyama Hiroto has going on.
AND A LOT!!! OF OTHER STUFF!!
Season 3 (So far!) has been, pretty normal. Im nowhere near half way through but its been normal. And im scared about that.
Anwyays yeah, welcome to Inazuma Eleven. Its my silly little anime where everyone needs therapy
IT'S ABOUT SOCCER????????

Sorry if this request sounds a bit sillybut can you do headcanons of Endou, Kidou, Goenji, Kazemaru and Shiro with Roxy! Reader (Roxy from Winx Club) Reader tells them that she is a fairy, and at first they think she was making a joke, but then she proves that she is a fairy by showing off her powers. What would their reaction be?
Inazuma Eleven ~With a reader like Roxy~
Manga/anime: Inazuma Eleven
Warnings: light spoilers of seasons 1 and 2
Endou M.
At first he'll be really shocked and remain still for a few seconds
Then you'll literally be able to see stars in his eyes
From that moment on, he'll always ask you for help even for the most trivial things, like cooking or making the bed or cleaning (once he'll also ask you to do his homework with magic)
He'll love your wings: he'll always want to touch them, to see you fly and, if you can carry him, to fly with you
He'll also really enjoy your connection with animals and certainly ask you both to enable them to speak and to help him understand them better
Gouenji S.
He'll be very surprised, but he won't show it as clearly as Endou: his eyes will widen slightly, as will his mouth, and he'll stare at you motionless for a few seconds
Afterwards, his reaction will vary depending on the moment of the story we're in
In fact, if Yuuka hasn't woken up yet, he'll ask you if you're able to heal her; he'll be very sad to find out it won't be possible, but he'll understand your powers have limits
If she has already woken up, he'll ask you to play with her and show her some magic; if you don't accept, he'll understand you anyway
If instead you agree to show Yuuka your powers, he'll love seeing you play together and look at you two from afar with affection
Kidou Y.
He's very good at hiding his emotions: you won't even notice he'll be upset (also because you won't be able to see his eyes because of his glasses)
The first thing he'll do after recovering from the mild shock will be to thank you for trusting him
Afterwards, he'll also promise you he'll never tell your secret to anyone, not even to his sister
He'll want to know more about the magic world, especially its culture and history
He won't ask you to help him with your powers, but he'll appreciate it if you decide to use them in front of him: for him it'll be a demonstration of trust from you
Kazemaru I.
His surprise will be seen very clearly: his mouth will be so wide open it'll almost touch the ground and his pupils will be tiny in his eyes
However, he'll still recover quite quickly
He'll be very interested in the magic world: he'll want to know what and how you study, to see you fly and do magic, especially making animals able to talk, and to learn about its culture
He'll love if, while you two are walking together, you stop to play with an animal, and his eyes will be turned towards you full of love
He'll definitely want to race with you: you'll fly, he'll run, and the loser will have to grant the winner a wish (usually a kiss)
Fubuki S.
Once the initial shock has passed, he'll hug you tightly and thank you for trusting him to tell him your secret
He'll think about it for many days and be a little shy in asking you something, but then he'll take courage and ask you the fateful question
"Couldn't you... bring... Atsuya back to... life?"
He'll be really sad when you respond negatively to his request, but he'll never blame you for your inability to satisfy it
He'll still appreciate you and adore when you do your magic, even the simplest ones; sometimes he'll even try to help you study the theory regarding your magic

Thoughts about Inazuma Eleven Ares
So.... I've finally finished Inazuma Eleven Ares a few days ago (Already started watching Orion lol) so I decided to talk a bit about my thoughts on the series, if I enjoyed it or not, what I disliked about it... and just me telling my overall opinion on everything. This isn't meant to be a critical review or anything, it's just my own thoughts on the series. You are all free to disagree.
If I had to describe how I felt about Ares I would still stick with my first statement I said when I watched the first 2 or so episodes: I both love it and hate it.
Was it as good as the Original Season? Hell no.
Was it still entertaining for me? Honestly, yes.
So let's dive into things from the very beginning....
1- New Characters
The new characters introduced in Ares where... something for sure.
On one hand, there's characters I liked a lot like Nae, Nosaka and Haizaki *I keep forgetting that man's name* on the other hand other characters felt... somewhat boring.... character that I DID find interesting weren't concentrated on... either they were only focused on for a bit or not at all.
Take Nae for example, she was a character I highly doubted I'd like before watching Ares.... and in the end, the complete opposite happened. I ended up liking Nae but she barely got ANY focus in Ares... and it seems she'll pretty much be completely ignored in Orion.
Many of the goalkeepers introruced in Ares where too weak too, I loved Norika as a character but she was such a weak goalkeeper and honestly it wasn't a problem with just Norika but the other goalkeepers too.
This isn't new to the series overall since as a soccer anime that introduces tons of characters, it's only expected there will be wasted potential but it makes it annoying when the less interesting get the others deserved.
Nosaka and Haizaki are exceptions though because I DEFINITELY loved those two and their backstories, especially Nosaka. The mc was... okay for the most part, I didn't dislike him or hate him.
The other Raimon eleven though.....? The only one I might've liked was Hiura and Norika otherwise.... they were all... just there for me.
2- Older characters
I am also putting Kira Hiroto and Atsuya in the older characters category because... technically they are older characters (Dead as they may be in OG series)
So.... let us begin....
In general.... i am pissed at how the og characters were treated like supporting cast.... they barely did anything or got the attention they deserved. A lot of the 26 episodes were wasted on the newer characters, that's expected but still annoying in a way, especially since I found a majority of the new Raimon eleven less interesting than the Og characters.
I am not saying I hated them, but still... it sucked.
On top of that I didn't think the Raimon team really should've won a majority of the matches they won... maybe I am being Bias here but they just felt way weaker than the Og characters in general.
In Og series, no matter how OP the other team was I always cheered for Raimon.
In Ares I was cheering for ANYONE but Raimon. Especially in the Hakuren and Eisei Academy matches. I think there was only two or three matches were I cheered for Raimon.
Again this might be Bias speaking here but also can you blame me?
For a new series, it's only natural that they'll focus on newer characters but when the setup is made in such a way that they make you feel the Og cast will have important roles... it sucks.
Like I am genuinely trying to remember if Someoka did anything during his match because I honestly don't remember any moments of him actually being useful in the match.... And Kabeyama didn't even PLAY in his match.
Kidou and Endou had it the best out of the others.... especially Kidou for some reason.
Now...moving on to Kira Hiroto, he had a great backstory and I LOVED his episodes, it also cracked me up every time he'd get interrupted halfway before finishing his speech, he was a character I got invested in emotionally and again this is a reason why I wanted them to win against Raimon! Raimon didn't make me as invested as Kira Hiroto. In the Og series, he was just this dead kid who you somewhat felt sorry for but they did well with him in Ares...
On the other hand they did Atsuya Dirty. Not just Atsuya but Shirou too.
First off... genuine question but why did they have to change that those two were twins?! Unlike With Hiroto (who is apparently older than his sister) that change has no purpose at all? And .. that's not even the problem... this is more of a small detail that annoyed me lol. The real problem is...
Shirou and Atsuya pratically got NO backstory in Ares. Zero, absolutely nothing. They were pratically just another team Raimon had to go against and that's all.
I saw someone say Atsuya was better off dead because of how much he barely mattered in Ares, and again it's not that he's better off dead. Atsuya had amazing Hissatsus, it was fun watching him play but bro barely had ANY character development, they didn't give him that Kira Hiroto treatment at all...
Idk if it was me, but Atsuya was a character I genuinely loved even back in the OG story and I am sure I thought of that him and shirou would've been a great duo if he was still alive.... so when Outer code came out, I was honestly really happy to see an AU were he was alive.... but I am honestly disappointed.
Atsuya is still amazing... what sucks is the lack of attention he got.
And shirou didn't have it any better! This is really a shame because i honestly wish we got more moments of him and Atsuya.
Again, their backstory had potential, especially if we are to assume the avalanche still happened and their parents died in it, this is only but one example they could've done. It would've been a great way to dive into why Atsuya only trusts Shirou and give it an actual reason. And just like Tatsuya and Hiroto got a different version of their backstory so would Shirou and Atsuya, the differences would still make it interesting while strengthening Atsuya (and Ares version of Shirou) as characters.
3- Animation
I am not here to complain... I am here to tell my thoughts, and lets all be honest... the animation is better than og, or not the animation exactly... the character design. They actually look like teenagers. I also absolutely loved seeing older techniques being used... even if I admit none of them felt as... dynamic as the Og ones. Except Death Zone, that one was genuinely better than the Og in my opinion.
Newer Hissatsus were also amazing! I especially loved The explosion and... literally every Hissatsu the Fubuki brothers did.
It makes me wish we could get the og Inazuma eleven remade with this animation style but that will probably never happen.
Depsite me thinking the Hissatsus in the Og series looked better visually I still really liked seeing them with the new animation style and I definitely think they look great in their own right, it's just that older animation had more dynamic perspective and it felt like there was more care being put into the animation.
4- Plot
It was a somewhat straightforward but lacking plotline, it had potential, was enjoyable to watch... but could've still been done way better than how they did it.
I enjoyed the comic moments though, maybe I just have a bad sense of humor but I genuinely laughed at those funny scenes.
Though probably the only time I genuinely got hyped for an inakuni raimon match was the final match- 🤔
Overall they needes to give those characters backstory or moments thar actually made us care more, or you know... have them have interesting personalities.
Despite all that, I did genuinely enjoy watching this. Yes, the writing could've been better. But at the end of the day... since I did enjoy It I'll say it barely passes 🤣
Who where your favorite characters in Inazuma eleven Ares? What were some ot your compains about it?
