I've Got You Brother
by Freckled_Dynamight
Touya Todoroki's life was anything but easy. Abuse, neglect, lies, and secrets tore his family apart. A heated argument between him and his father leaves him out on the streets. Luckily, he's taken in by his best friend turned boyfriend Keigo and they continue to finish their last year of UA. Fast forward a few years later at 22 years old, Touya, aka Underground Hero Dabi has made his place as both a pro and a life with Keigo, but what happens when Shouto seeks him out? And what if he finds a secret late one night on patrol known as Izuku Midoriya, Enji's secret love child?
This is the story of the Todoroki brothers Touya, Shouto, and Izuku. How life was different for each of them before coming together, and how they learn they can always rely on one another. There will be time skips but ultimately everything will tie together. This all came from wips I had of the three as siblings. I hope you enjoy it.

Oc Talk Update:
Alright, so because my requests are open yet again I thought that it might be helpful if I reintroduced all of my OCs because there have been several that I've changed over the year since I've last told you about them. There's also several more of them as well and some that I've forgotten about in the past. There's a lot to get through so I'll apologize in advance.
MHA OCs: By far the most OCs that I've ever made for anything. This show has become one of my favorite hyper fixations ever despite the fact that it's kind of an off and on thing depending on my mood. My Hero Academia has became one of my favorite characters of all of them. It's just such an amazing show that changed my entire life and it's just so much of who I am.
Mitsuki Haruka: My first MHA OC nostalgia, Mitsu was the first one and she's the one that started all of it. I've always had a soft spot for the kind but outgoing best girl. Mitsuki's quirk is water. She can pretty much do anything related to water. She can freeze it, heat it, and make snow. Everything about this OC I just adore. Her canon partner is Tenya Iida of course because he's my best boi. I love their relationship and I really want to rewrite my fic with her from scratch. She also has a brother named Kai! That's @toxic-pastry OC whom we came up with the adoption AU together and it's one of my favorite things. I'm willing to do either romance fics with her and Tenya or a sibling fic with her and Kai. I love both relationships so, so much.
Litzy Yamada: Welcome to the ideas that I've had at like 11:15 at night. The gimmick with Litzy is that she can control shadows. She was inspired by my love of two things, my love of the design of La Muerte in Book Of Life, and my love of Dr Facilier in Princess And The Frog. Litzy is Latina and she was born and raised in Mexico. She grew up in the heart of Mexico but she moved to Japan to get away from her quirk hating family that hurt her and threatened with a little something I call "quirk surgery" where your powers are stripped from you. She's a transfer student to UA where Aizawa takes her in as her live-in family. This is how she meets Hizashi Yamada aka Present Mic who eventually adopts her as his own daughter. I've always had a soft spot for Litzy's dynamic with her friends. Her canon partner is Mina Ashido! (Also her step family is Shinso of course, Eri, and my best friend's OC Hana)
Violet Bubaigawara: My first ever "villain" OC, Violet can control plants that are on her arms as tattoos. She can summon them and they can fight with her. I was inspired by Poison Ivy of course from Batman when I was designing her. So Violet works in her father's flower shop, she's a theater actress (this is where I put a majority of my favorite musical theater facts, aka my love of Sherman Brother's.) Her family is a bit of a mess and she lost her older brother when she was 10. This caused a rift between her family and most of them abandoned her until she got older and she fixed her relationships with her three brothers. Her canon partner is Jin Bubaigawara aka Twice. I freaking LOVE these two together so much, they're just the personification of true love to me. The two of them eventually adopt Toga as their daughter, I made Toga a bit younger and an orphan in my fics.
Shizuko Toyomitsu: Hooo boy, Shizuko is one of my favorite OCs she's just such an amazing and strong character. Shizuko in the canon au is quirkless, she instead decided that she wanted to use her brain as her quirk. She invents gadgets that help her to fight crime and trained with FatGum in order to transfer to the hero course. Her original family was a bunch of dicks pretty much. In the no power au that I started, they were drug dealers. In the canon au they're just massively abusive towards her. But she had a savior, that savior being one of my favorite bois Denki Kaminari, her downstairs neighbor. Denki became her best friend and the person that she did everything for. She also met Mei Hatsume during this time as well since they were both into tech. By the time that UA comes around, she's working to get into the hero course, FatGum adopts her, and she transfers to the hero course. Her canon partner is in my opinion one of my ultimate favorite female characters in My Hero canon and that's Mei Hatsume. It's kind of a more recent update to her character but I just absolutely love it and how it's turned out. I'd love to write for these two so if anyone has any ideas that they want for Shizuko and Mei, I'd love you forever.
Kotoeri Hanamori: TOERII! Kotoeri is one of my favorites and I've been in love with her since I first created her. So Kotoeri has actually one of my favorite quirks, she can create a massive protective bubble around buildings and or from people and I love them so much. She's just everything to me. Kotoeri is a member of the fairy kei fashion community, basically it's just bright colors and pastels everywhere. I fell in love with the fashion style when I was creating her. She became one of my first instances of using fairy kei as a style and it's the style that I most identify with now. It was the first time that I really found that clothing style so I just love the way that it suits Kotoeri's personality. Her love story is one of my favorites too. She met her s/o Tamaki Amajiki when they were in the third grade and started dating their second year of middle school. I just think that the energetic one and the anxious one is such an adorable ship dynamic.
Saorise Lovecraft: Saoirse is my other villain OC! She comes from Ireland but moved out to Japan to escape abusive fiancée that just wouldn't leave her alone once she broke it off with him. Saorise's quirk is that she has a lust related quirk. When she uses a certain voice she can turn on the desire of any man. The con to her quirk is that once she uses it she's out of commission for at least a half hour. This has led to her getting sexually abused pretty much all of her life in some way, shape, or form. Until, she meets the kindest man to ever exist in the history of life, the love of my life, Mr. Compress. I just thought that the idea of this relationship was so sweet and so pure for them to start off as partners in crime to lovers and I just love this OC with all my heart.
Arashi Mitsuha: Most of you know my favorite person Ari, but if you don't Ari's thing is that they can control the weather! Mostly in terms of natural disaster's. From tornados, to hurricanes, they can do just about any form of weather. Due to having a dick for a biological father, he wants to be a hero that doesn't really punch villains more as a hero that saves people from natural disasters. I loved the idea of making a pacifist hero in training mostly due to the fact that it just brought up some really interesting ideas. Ari is gender-fluid and his look was inspired by Howl's from Howl's Moving Castle. This is an OC that went through a major change recently, going from a single ship to a loving poly ship. Originally it was just that they were partnered up with Denki Kaminari, but overtime I fell into the ShinKami trap and so did my best friend and she convinced me to make a poly ship with Ari, Denki, and Shinsou.
Rumi Tsukasa: My last MHA OC thank God I am so sorry that I have so many of these kids that I love so much. Rumi can control illusions, I loved the idea of making her control illusions of things that weren't really there. Like making a fake bank to be robbed so that she can capture a set of villains. Even though her quirk takes up a lot of time, she can have multiple huge illusions up at one time as well. Rumi is in class B and her partner is Tetsutetsu. I've always had a weakness for Tetsutetsu so having him have this no nonsense alternative/punk inspired girlfriend I just loved it. Rumi's father was the number 12 hero that I invented, a hero called Hypno who could hypnotize people. He died in a villain attack a few months before canon and she is still coping and dealing with the loss of someone that was so important to her life.
Teen Titans/Promare:
Keiko Tsuchigomori: Keiko is actually probably the oldest OC that I've ever had. I was getting really into Avatar at the age of nine so her powers are that of the Avatar earth, fire, air, and water. It's just that her's have a little cutesy twist to them like her fire is pink like the fire in one of my favorite movies Promare. Keiko is a member of the decora community, I loved coming up with her clothing ideas and the little things that were important to her aesthetic. Due to a house fire that Keiko started when she was first "receiving" her powers (against her will) by her scientist father, she is now covered in burns. In the Teen Titans au she becomes more comfortable with her body and what she wears. She has to overcome the fact that she is still herself and she can still be just as confident as she once was. In the TT au she's Beast Boy's canon partner. It hasn't changed since I was nine and first really getting into the show. I love their relationship and I still stand by the fact that Beast Boy is best boi.
In the Promare au, I made her Lio's twin sister. I fell in love with the way that this story was told and just everything in it so I knew that I had to work with the two of the characters that meant more to me than anything in the world. Originally, I was going to make BB a fire fighter but then I was inspired to make another poly-ship with Keiko, Meis, and Gueira. I have such a weakness for these three they just give me so much free serotonin.
Animaniacs: Lizzy is a rabbit! Of course that means that she was a lot, and I mean a *LOT* of siblings. She was the oldest before her parents decided that she “deserved” to be famous and dropped her off at the Warner Brothers Studios one day just because they felt like it. Elizabeth met the Warner siblings when Wakko accidentally nearly knocked her off of her roof where she was staying when he was swinging with his giant squeaky rubber hammer. That’s how she met the first two of the siblings anyways. How she met Yakko was she met him through Dot insisting that she joined the reboot crew. Liz’s canon partner is of course, the eldest of the three siblings Yakko. Now I’ve had Litzy since I was ten and since then she’s still one of my favorites so I do still work with her and she is a lot of fun and their relationship makes me soft. Not only is she a really good singer but she’s also an amazing athlete. She’s amazing at soccer and loves to stim with her soccer ball during non practice times. She’s also really talented at martial arts so she finds. (When they had to do the Animeanics segment Wakko volunteered her to learn hand to hand combat and she fell in love with it.)
Princess And The Frog: Rhiannon has always been one of those OCs that I have the biggest weakness for. She's just such a pure bean and loves her family so much. Rae’s parents are Tiana and Naveen and she has three siblings, an older brother and two twin younger brothers that makes her and Tiana the only girls (pray for them I swear they have to put up with so much) She’s the baker in the restaurant! She bakes the bread, makes the desserts, that’s her job. She learned baking from her mom of course and studies her recipes still religiously to this day. Our bi princess we honestly love to see her in this house. She’s so gorgeous. Honestly, her bisexuality was something that came to me when I thought about the song that Jim Cummings talked about on Talkin Toons that Raymond sings in his first scene Leon Russell's “Cajun Love Song” I eventually thought of to make her girlfriend Lottie’s daughter and name her Alice! To me it was peak me knowing things that actually help me out in the future. Rae is the master of three instruments *ahem* the accordion because that’s what Ray’s playing and that’s where her name took inspiration from, Naveen taught her how to play the ukulele when she was old enough to hold it in her hands, and she plays the trumpet thanks to Louis teaching her.
DuckTales: Sabrina has one of those personalities that I just thrive off of writing. She's got also one of my favorite relationships to write for and that's her relationship with my absolute favorite member of the McDuck family, Ludwig Von Drake. Sabrina is the sister between Huie, Dewey, and Louie. She’s the actual oldest of the family where the younger three constantly bicker about who is. For a long time, she didn’t really know what her role was with the rest of her family. At least not with her immediate family. She spent a lot of time with her tutor, her uncle Ludwig. After she quickly realized that school wasn’t for her she wanted to study with her great uncle instead. He taught her how be confident in her intelligence and she loves her uncle more than anything in the entire world. He’s her source of encouragement through every step of the way and every life change. During adventures, she’s often labeled as the group quick thinker using her quick thinking as well as multi versatile interests to get them out of quick scraps. She’s fluent in languages, she can think on her toes quickly and she’s able to do things that her brother’s and great uncle can’t. Her sexuality is that she most identified with lesbian culture, even though she can notice that guys are cute she also can’t see herself in a relationship with them. Gosalyn is her girlfriend and they’re in a long distance girlfriend but they’re both extraordinarily happy together. While they didn’t start off on the right foot, her closest brother now that she’s older is Dewey. They found that they have a lot of things in common now that they’re in the early teens. They work extremely well together, they’re extremely close. She has a really unique relationship with all three of her brother’s though they’re her closest unit.
Star Vs The Forces Of Evil: Allania has become one of my favorite comfort OCs over the course of the last year. While there's not really a whole lot of me in her I do love her so, so much. She's just this absolute unit of sunshine and I love her personality. Nia is a half elf-half human and her dad's run a bakery together. Nia helps her family out as much as she can in the bakery but her main passion is theater and drag shows. She started doing drag to find her confidence and performing became one her biggest interests. Her canon partner is Tom Lucitor my absolute unit of a baby. I love this demon boi so, SO much oh my gods. He is the cutest thing ever and I just needed to make an OC for him. He's the cutest thing ever. Nia's best friend in the entire world is Marco Diaz. I just love, love this girl so much. Her story of transitioning and finding out who she is. She's just the cutest thing.
Gravity Falls: Twilight (cookie dough) Pines is one of my favorite OCs because she is actually themed to one of the best friend's that I've ever had in my entire time online @2oppositesidesof1coin (or Opposite). Relationship with Mabel: This is where things get a little bit… complicated for lack of a better word. Because Mabel took up so much of her parent’s time, Twilight got neglected. People would simply rather spend time with the cute and sparkly one over the nervous wreck. She never resented her younger sister, in fact she loves Mabel for not letting the world get her down. Relationship with Dipper: Her relationship with Dipper (read as Dippin Dots) is a lot better thankfully. She loves her younger brother and helped him through his transitional period. They have a lot of personal interests that intersected, she got him into spooky things at a young age (Scooby Doo mainly but they’ve also been known to watch anime and Buzzfeed Unsolved together.) Relationship with Grunkle Stan: Ever since she was a little girl, the only place that she’s ever felt comfortable is Gravity Falls and when she visits during the summertime those were her favorite days of her childhood. Without fail he’s the only person (other than Dipper) who remembers her birthday. He keeps a calendar just so he doesn’t miss it. He sees a ton of Ford in her, like if you crossed his personality with Ford’s then you’d get his cookie dough. He loves her more than anything in the entire world. Eventually, he decided that home wasn’t safe for her anymore and decided that he would take her in and she’d stay with him and Ford. Twilight did some personal research after she met Wendy, realized that she was a big pan disaster fire around anyone that was pretty in her eyes, and things quickly progressed with her and Wendy since then. Her main hobby is theater. Twilight is an actress, it’s how she got rid of her stutter for the most part. She loves singing and dancing so musical theater called to her like a beacon. Performing is something that she takes a lot of pride in doing.
Haikyuu: OH good lord, okay so I have multiple Haikyuu's OC so hold onto your hats because I love these ladies
Aratani Fuuka: The first Haikyuu OC that I ever officially made and started designing, the light of my life, Aratani. I love this woman so, so much. Tani is just so important to me probably because she was the first to change my life. Aratani is a libero for the Nekoma team. I absolutely fell in love with the position no matter what. She's just such an amazing OC and I love her. Her aunt is the one that raised her due to the fact that her parents were deemed unsuitable to raise her. Her best friend is Bokuto because it's just the most obvious thing. I love writing for these two more than anything in the world. Their friendship is just 11/10 goals. But, but her canon partner is Kuroo. I fell ass over tea kettle for this goofball nerd and I'm in love with him. Aratani was basically inserting myself into the she's just everything to me.
Hikari Shinobu: Hikari is my one childhood friends to middle school dating OC. I loved this idea so much and it's one that I have a weakness for. Hikari's an older twin sister to her younger brother Hatsu. When they were in elementary school their mother insisted that they go to a community center which is how Hikari met elementary school Satori Tendou. Through Satori, Kari made the first friend that she had ever had before. She fell in love with her best friend and over the years they started dating when they were in middle school. I just have such a softness for these two and their relationship. It's one of those ships that's just everything to me. They're the best part of each other's lives and I'm so soft for that idea. Hikari is a ballerina who goes to Shiratorizawa as well. She never misses one of Satori's games and honestly that very idea has me so weak for her. Just imagining her with little flags cheering for her monster-I love these two so much.
Yui Fujiwara: Yui was for me inspired by the head-canons that my best friend @moons-and-stars-and-shit came up with for me! Yui is one of the managers of the Karasuno volleyball team, her best friend is Sugawara, and her boyfriend is long distance but it's Lev Haiba. Using those HCs as a jumping off point to create her was one of my favorite things of this last year. I loved coming up with her own unique personality that paralleled my own. Yui comes from a somewhat neglectful family, her older sister is captain of the Karasuno girls basketball team so her parents often ignored her in favor of focusing more on her elder sister. Due to this, she is extremely shy about things that she's interested in. Yui is really into science and the idea of engineering so she's interested in being a Disney imagineer. Her relationship with Lev isn't something that a lot of people can understand but they just love each other so much and that's the weakness that I have.
Ichigo Nakano: My first Haikyuu OC! Do you know those parents that are like "You do your sport and you do nothing but your sport because that's the only thing that you're good at?" Welcome to Ichigo's parents folks. Ichigo has been playing basketball since she was really little and her pushy parents encouraged her to keep doing the sport even when she wasn't really loving it anymore. Her first cheerleader that she really ever had was Ryuunosuke Tanaka. I had to do this okay, it was a mighty need and I am weak for goofballs. Anyways, so they met in elementary school had a cutesy childhood crushes thing, and then Ichigo had to move to Tokyo. But once she moves back her parents are still trying to dictate her life so she feels that she can't have her one little ray of sunshine. It's not until Ryuu encourages her that she can have her own life and that it is worth living that she decides that she's going to live her own life.
Chihiro Itadori: If anyone in my OC arsenal for Haikyuu went through a similar thing to me it was Chihiro. For most of her childhood everyone loved her. Teachers, friends, classmates, everyone adored her. And she loved the praise and the attention. It was something that she thrived off of. But once her friends started dating she became the fifth wheel between everyone. Her friends bullied her and belittled her for not having a boyfriend. But her friends were also members of the Oikawa Fan Club despite having boyfriends. Even though Chihiro didn't really see the personal appeal of Oikawa there was one that she did see the appeal of, and that was Iwaizumi. You all know where this is going. Iwa sits next to Chihiro in their science class and they work together one day when he notices that Chihiro isn't the same way that she usually is. He realizes that his crush/desk neighbor is being treated poorly so he just wants to introduce him to better friends. Her friendship with the entire Aoba Johsai team and I love her friendship more than anything.
Ayaka Sunohara: Aya is just amazing in my personal opinion. She's grown so much during the time that I played with her. It started off with her paired off with Terushima, to me I still love this boi more than anything. She's just impossibly sweet and genuine but at the same time so strong. Aya has a hard time relating to her parents. They're the type of yuppy rich people that just treat their daughter as a tool in order to move their status forward. But Aya eventually wants no part of that. She wants to be a tattoo artist and her creativity throughout everything is just such an amazing OC. I did wind up eventually changing my OC relationship to her with Noya. Yet another time when I looked at the beautifulness of this relationship. They're just absolute cuties and I love writing them.
Sk8 The Infinity: My Matchablossom babies! I know that I've got a lot of hate on these two recently but that doesn't mean that I'm shelving them. I just wanted to set the record straight with these two I guess for those of you that don't really know me. Sometimes when I write a relationship it's with a comfort character, not a husbando. This is one of those cases as the main relationship is with someone that is a minor. I just thought that it was a cute idea and originally it was not my plan. Things just got away from me and I just thought that Sakura and Miya were too cute together to not try my hand at it. Now that we've discussed that, let's talk about my Matchablossom twins.
Sakura Nanjo: My main Sk8 OC, the absolute light of my life, bass player, chef in training. Sakura to me is just one of those OCs that I have that is just pure serotonin shot directly into my system. Creating her design, I made her looks more considerable to Kaoru rather than Kojiro but her personality is definitely Kojiro's. She has his main interest, that of cooking. She loves cooking and making food for people that's her love language. Coming up with this idea of her getting Miya to learn to love food was one of my favorite main plot ideas that I've ever come up with. There's just such a beauty to this au and I love it so much. There's also the mention of bass guitar. See when I was first writing her fic I was overtaken by one of my biggest music hyper fixations that I've ever had, my obsession with Rush. Due to me falling in love with this band right around this time it only made sense to mesh the two things together.
Haru Sakurayashiki: Baby boy. Absolute baby boy. So Haru is my trans OC who when the story starts has just started to take T as he has just barely begun puberty at 12 years old and he already knows that isn't what he wants. However, this makes his emotions, mainly his anger go a bit wonky. It makes the bickering between him and Sakura more explosive and more prevalent. He wants to be a better brother to his sister and after an accidental physically violent thing, he knows that he has to be a better job of maintaining his rage and aggression. I gave him Kojiro's hair, Kaoru's golden eyes, and Kaoru's interests of making art. The only difference is I made him into a future tattoo artist. He's also a lover of basketball and played it throughout middle school and high school. His partner is another OC that I came up with named Kayla. They met due to Sakura taking guitar lessons at Kayla's dad's studio. Haru gets bitten by the drum bug and that's how he learns to better maintain his emotions.
Fairy Tail:
Idina Conbolt: The first technical OC that I've ever made! Idina is an ice dragon slayer in the canon au. Since Gray was never the official ice dragon slayer I thought that it might be fun for me to create my own for fun. So that's how Idina came into play. This is an OC that has definitely changed as my tastes have changed over the countless years that I've been a fairy fan. My original FT simp was Gray, I freaking loved Gray more than anything when I was 13 so I knew that was who I wanted Idina to be with. Idina to me is just this absolute pillar of strength. She's strong, kind, and loves her friends more than anything. Her best friend in the entire world is Natsu, she loves her best friends more than anything. It's just the thing that I love working with her. Because her friendship is just the sweetest things and working with her. Then once I hit 17 I absolutely fell in love with Laxus. It hit me with a truck. So I had to create something that went along with that. In doing that I changed Idina's relationship with Gray to a relationship with Laxus. When I wrote her fic, one of my best friends D-Angel read her fic and fell in love with it just as much as I did. I loved her story more than anything and writing it just made me so happy. When I started talking more frequently with her the idea of a poly ship hit me in the gut of her with Laxus and Freed.
Kim Possible:
Anna Lipski: Anna Lipski was my idea to create an OC that was the daughter of Dr. Drakken and Shego. I loved Dr. D when I was growing up and a lot of that stuck with me into becoming the childish adult that I am today. For the most part this idea just stemmed from the fact that I was curious about what their child would be like. So I designed Anna and promptly fell in love with the idea of Drakken raising her as a single dad to the best of his abilities. Due to the fact that he is not evil in this au him and Kim's dad managed to remain friends and Kim is basically Anna's cousin/sister at this point in both of their lives. Anna did get Shego's powers except her flames are a bright pink color. She's also really close with cousin Eddie because honestly I just loved that idea that she would be this combination of tough girl with a feminine edge.
Owl House:
Kenneth Ortiz: Kenny! I have the biggest soft spot for this OC. Kenneth is another gender fluid character that owns my heart and soul. So their thing is that they grew up with Edric and Emira because those two twins are everything to me and I fell in love with Ed. I thought that it would just be the coolest thing if while they were in the illusions track that they would be able to mimic voices, be super good at impressions, and just be the most amazing impressionist. They can also save little things about their friends. They have a soft spot for laughs in particular. Laughs are everything to them and they have a major soft spot for making their friend's laugh. Edric and Hunter are their f/o's and I have a soft spot their relationship. Kenneth is just overall a lot of fun and designing them made me super happy.
Toilet Bound Hanako Kun:
Junko Minamoto: Junko my love~ Junko is the younger twin sister of Teru. As a kid she was often compared as weaker than her brother. She had trouble staying still, paying attention in school, and making friends where her brother excelled at everything it seemed like. Every time that she would try to focus on something it would wind up blowing up in her face. She struggled with her self image a lot because everyone would always just call her Teru without really thinking. Even though they are fraternal twins they look a lot a like and have a lot of the same interests and hobbies. After starting high school Junko promised herself that she'd do better. She had to do better and make her family proud of her in her own way. So she dedicated herself to the one thing that she knew she was good at, archery. She became a more focused student, a more driven archer, and a better older sister to her younger siblings, Kou and Tiara. This was also around the time that guys started to notice her and started asking her out on dates randomly. Even though she was bisexual she leaned more towards women then she did towards men. That was until she met in my opinion, one of my favorite characters in the series, Natsuhiko. I absolutely fell in love with these two because he was the first person that really looked at her and saw her. He saw the girl that was just trying her best to be a good twin, a stronger fighter, and someone that her younger siblings could rely on. That was the person that he fell in love with, the one who was always trying to be there for her family and get the best grades that she could.
Encanto:
Mariposa Lynne Madrigal: So when I first started getting really into Encanto I came up with the genius idea that I'd make a wife for Bruno and hence Mariposa was born. Mariposa Lynne grew up in a small but tight knit family that owned the Encanto's sweets shop that all the family's frequent for desserts and sweet treats after dinner and throughout the day. Mariposa's mother was sick though so the shop was falling onto her shoulders. Bruno one day when he was walking about town he went into the sweets shop to avoid the whispers and murmurs that were surrounding him. He went inside and Mariposa was running the shop with her younger sister Fran working in the back room. Bruno and Mariposa quickly formed a friendship and he promised that he'd look into her mother's future to see if they could find a cure for her illness. In return, Mariposa became Bruno's first real friend, the first person that looked at him and saw the person that he was. Not just the creepy triplet, but the person that he was and not want to change him. She didn't judge him and only ever pushed him to be his best self. I absolutely love working with these two and their slow burn romance and just them quickly finding the way that they fit together.
Angelica Madrigal: The daughter of Mariposa and Bruno, her gift is that she can blend into shadows and she can control shadows. I came up with the idea when I started thinking about gifts that their children might have and I once again turned to my love of Dr. Faciler and found that the idea of blending into shadows was something that she could do and it could be creepy ish. In the same vein that Bruno's gift was seen as creepy her's could be seen in the same way. When I started coming up with her story it very quickly took a turn that I don't usually take, the angsty family dynamics turn where there's no comfort or forgiveness really until the very end. Angelica was the forgotten Madrigal gift family member. She was the one that was pushed to the side because her gift couldn't really help the town. It was also seen as "too scary" for the children so Abuela kept her locked in her room only allowing for her to come out on special occasions. After Bruno left, Angelica only wanted for her father to come back. Things were easier for her when he was there, more tolerable. She wasn't entirely alone though. She had Camilo her best friend, they were a week apart birth wise so they would often refer to each other as their "twin" brother or "twin" sister which would confuse the people that were just moving into the town until someone corrected them. She was also close with Dolores and Antonio, Felix tried to pick up the slack that Bruno left behind him and he somewhat succeeded in being a father figure to Angelica. Mariposa was the best mother that she could possibly be to her. The first year was... not the easiest for her mother wise but she quickly picked herself up and dusted herself off. She found that it was easier to relate to her daughter when she told her stories about what her papi was like when they were younger and first falling in love.
Once Bruno comes back things definitely got a lot better for Angelica. Things started to finally look up for her. Her family was there for her again and Abuela apologized for short sighting her throughout her entire life. Even though that pain still exists for her, things got better once Bruno was let back into the family. It took some time to regain the father daughter relationship that she had with him a decade ago but they're working on fixing it.
Fruits Basket:
Fumiko Sohma: Fumi-chan is the daughter of Hatori and Kana Sohma. She often struggled with just general badmouthing in her family due to her family's just general shitty nature. Akito especially saw that she was treated far worse then the other people in the family. The older women in the family treated her as though she was a dress up doll that they could train and teach to be their opinion of the perfect little girl. She was put through literal hell when it came to training. They critiqued everything about her from her eating habits, to her posture, to the way that she walked. She had to be absolutely perfect all the time. There were moments of reprieve though that came in the form of Ayame Sohma, everyone's favorite fashion designer. He absolutely doted on his favorite niece introducing her to his favorite movies, shows, and anime's. He got her into everything that she was passionate about from a young age. Fumi-chan was absolutely obsessed with Sailor Moon (her favorite is Sailor Mercury because she could relate a lot to her), Cardcaptor Sakura, Miyazaki films, and Tokyo Mew Mew. Her love of Miyazaki films eventually inspired her to create her dream job, a Miyazaki cafe. She loves baking, cooking, and creating everything that allowed her to make her dream possible. She also is absolutely obsessed with clothing and making clothes due to Ayame's influence over her life. Cosplay has been a huge part of her life the older that she got and the more shows that she found. Her favorites are the Fate series (she loves Saber especially), One Piece, Fairy Tail, and My Dress Up Darling.
Her relationship is by far one of my all time favorites, her boyfriend is Kakeru Manabe MY BEST BOI I absolutely love this loon and I just think that these two are so cute together. They met when Fumi-chan moved to Shigure's house and she started going to the same middle school as Kakeru. They were sat across from each other and they quickly became friends and found a relationship with each other supporting each other and cheering each other on. To me that's the kryptonite of this relationship. They just support each other and their dreams, ambitions, life goals, and love each other so much. They might be each other's polar opposite but they will be the clingiest and most nausea inducing couple of all time.

Given some spoilers I’ve seen for chapter 291, I’m going to post some snipets from my giant TodoBaku soulmate AU relevant to upcoming spoilers.
I used canon-typical plot points to pad the fic and guide the soulmate plot because since the soulbond is the ability to feel each other’s emotions, it’s a very slow burn fic about growing up and maturing as people as much as it’s about Todoroki and Bakugou being soulmates
I decided to do this fic preview since some sections might change or might not depending on how the canon goes. I was trying to come up with ways to do anticipated plot points like the upcoming spoiler and Midoriya vs. Shigaraki in ways I thought the canon wouldn’t do them, so there might be nothing to change in the end.
Anyway, warnings and such under the cut. I’ll provide relevant context to the snipets. Please keep in mind that these sections have only gone through the first edit phase so they are still rough and will be tweaked further before posting.
I’ll probably get around to posting the fic in about idek probably 3 - 4 weeks since it took about 10 days to put half of it through the first edit.
Okay so generalized fic summary is basically: Todoroki and Bakugou share a soulbond that allows them to feel their emotional states. When in a shared emotional state, this soulbond can vibrate and increase their quirk output. After finding each other in high school, they go on a journey from soulmates to classmates to friends to boyfriends.
Some general warnings: canon typical abuse (though in canon it’s more implied and this gets into it a bit more than that), canon typical violence, suicide, immolation, death, kidnapping, cursing, major character death, gruesome injury (not in that order, I’ll be more exact about warnings when I post the fic properly)
So, you know, read at your own risk.
If you’re curious why I did what I did I either a) forgot, b) didn’t notice, c) it’s in the pocket of story I haven’t read yet, d) chose to ignore it (like Mineta or Yaoyorozu flashing people to use her quirk), or e) it just wasn’t working out for the fic  (Hatsume unfortunately D:).
I’m going to post all the sections Dabi appears in and provide context before each scene. I should also note it’s my headcanon he was born just under two years before Fuyumi, making him nine years older than Shouto.
Please keep in mind there are several sections in-between what I’m posting, so these sections have lighter moments and so forth in-between when the fic is whole
===
Basically at the start of the fic, I establish when the soulbond began. The following is the second scene of the fic. The previous scene was Bakugou’s POV and established how things work in universe and teased that Midoriya’s soulmates are Uraraka and Iida.
This scene is Todoroki’s POV because their POV alternates throughout the fic. Todoroki grew up sheltered from things like how the soulbond works so he thinks Bakugou’s emotions is a part of his brain acting on its own rather than another person’s emotional state (this will get clarified to him later in the fic)
***
For a long time it was just Todoroki Shouto, one mind and one body. Then one day, his brain decided it was tired of this routine and became sentient. When Todoroki was sad, his brain was mad. When he was content, his brain was aggressive. When he tried to feel no emotions at all, his brain was endlessly frustrated. It was worrying. It was too much like his father. On television, Endeavor was commanding, confident, and capable. He dispatched villains easily and everyone complemented him as strong, fast, brave, and exceptional. At home, Endeavor was angry, violent, demanding, and commanding in a different, more stressful way. Todoroki did not want to be like that. He did not want to be two people, and he definitely did not want to harm his family.
Todoroki’s brain became another person soon after his quirk manifested and Endeavor began training him. No matter what Todoroki did, thought, or tried to feel, his brain stubbornly felt other things. Luckily it was not always aggressive annoyance. Right now, for example, it was content like a day at the playground. Maybe his brain was just nostalgic. Todoroki could not remember the last time he went to a playground. There was no way to train there after all.
It was afternoon, not long after Todoroki’s birthday. He was hungry and bored from studying. As he approached his bedroom door, he froze. Voices drifted to him from his oldest brother’s bedroom. Ever since Todoroki started training, his siblings did not talk to him much anymore. His father said it was going to make him a better hero. Todoroki was not sure. It seemed like heroes should play with their siblings, give them presents on their birthdays, and help them with their chores.
“I don’t want to play it,” Touya murmured.
“It can’t be that bad,” Fuyumi said.
“When I use my quirk, I get blisters. Sometimes I just set everything on fire. I don’t want to be Blister Man, so I just didn’t use it,” Touya said. “It was that bad.”
“He’s got Shouto now,” Natsuo said. “Maybe it won’t matter.”
“You know it will.”
A long silence followed. Todoroki frowned. He knew he should not keep listening but he could not move from his door.
“Play it before Father comes home,” Fuyumi said. “We’ll figure something out.”
“Fine.”
Todoroki kept himself against the bit of wall beside his door. He held his breath. What were they watching? Why was it so bad? Todoroki put a hand on his door and then removed it. No matter how curious he was, he could not look. He should not look. He could not get them in trouble. He should ask his mother for a snack before their father came home. He remained against the wall. He let out a breath he did not know he held.
“Thank you for participating in UA’s hero entrance exam this year!” All Might’s voice boomed.
There were hasty whispers and button pushing to reduce the sound as much as possible.
“All of you showed great skill and achievement, however, only so many students can pass,” All Might continued.
“Shit,” Touya whispered.
“I am sorry to say that you did not pass the entrance exam this year,” All Might said in a firm but not unkind voice. “That does not mean your hero journey stops here! Cheer up and –”
There was silence. Todoroki held his breath again. After a moment, the disc ejected and the laptop closed. His brain commenced a power trip. Why? There was nothing to feel powerful about. Todoroki bit his lip. Heavy footsteps sounded in a far hallway.
“I…I got to get rid of it,” Touya said.
Todoroki should say something. He should do something.
“He’s going to want to see it!” Fuyumi  hissed.
The footsteps only drew closer, making the door shake as they passed. It was too late.
“I don’t care. I’ve got to get rid of it.”
“Get rid of what?” Endeavor’s voice seemed to echo through the house.
Todoroki’s heart stopped. He pressed himself against the wall more even though no one could see him. His brain continued on its power trip with a twinge of spite.
“That’s it,” Touya said. “This is fucking it!”
Todoroki braced for the sound of a hand on skin.
Instead there was a whoosh of flames and everything seemed much hotter than it ever did when Endeavor used his quirk inside the house.
“Touya! Don’t!” Fuyumi shrieked.
The smell of burning flesh, fire, and smoke filled the hallways and surrounding rooms.
“Touya!” Natsuo cried out.
“Get back! I’ll handle this!” Endeavor commanded. Not even seconds later, Endeavor ran down the hall and out the door. Fuyumi or Natsuo cried. Todoroki could not move.
“Why would Touya do that?” Natsuo whispered.
Fuyumi did not answer. Maybe there was no good answer. Todoroki remained against his wall. Endeavor did not return for hours. Touya never returned. His photo appeared in the family shrine. No one explained anything. Todoroki did not know when or how to ask. Rei snapped two days later and then she had to live at a hospital Todoroki could not visit and she could not come home again.
Todoroki did not want to feel anything. He could not feel anything. His brain continued its parade of incorrect disembodied emotion. Maybe Rei was right. Maybe he was too much like Endeavor. Todoroki wrapped himself in muted numbness. He would make sure he did not become Endeavor. He would find a way.
===
This next scene is Bakugou’s POV. This first part of the fic explores canon events with the soulmate lens to help me get a feel for how the soulbond works and also a feel for the character development journeys both Todoroki and Bakugou would have to take. So this is set immediately after the League kidnap Bakugou during summer training after the sports festival he got tied down to a cement pillar because he didn’t want to accept the gold medal.
This is also a scene in which the soulbond’s ability to amplify quirks comes into play. I called it the resonance since the ability for emotions to resonate together is what amplifies quirks. So for Todoroki, his fire and ice  become easier to draw forth and for Bakugou that means increased sweat production and increased explosion power.
***
There were no windows. There were few doors. There was a bar of all things. Sweat puddled around Bakugou. When the villains attacked the training camp, everything went sideways quickly. The resonance began to vibrate as Bakugou’s sweat production skyrocketed. His arms ached from holding back his quirk. He could no longer estimate the size of his explosions. If he let one off against his leg, he could just blow his leg off instead of bust his restraints.
Bakugou’s jaw tightened. Every time his mind wandered, it returned to Midoriya staring back at him as he disappeared into Kurogiri’s quirk. Midoriya’s eyes lit with determination. He totally did not listen when Bakugou told him not to follow. How long would it be before Midoriya was here too? Before both of them were completely fucked?
The room grew colder. Bakugou froze. The mist had been cold and suffocating. He took a deep breath. The bar’s air was normal. The resonance kept vibrating. Of course now would be the time Todoroki would finally allow himself to feel so freely. Todoroki definitely looked terrified enough before the mist made everything dark.
“You can’t stop thinking about the consequences can you?” Dabi asked. He looked like some kind of Frankenstein reject and smelled of death and ash. They were the only people in the room right now while the other villains took care of whatever villains did after a successful kidnapping.
“All of us have this rage,” Dabi flexed his fingers as though his joints were stiff, “because we want control.” He looked from his fingers to Bakugou. Dabi’s laughter was quiet, mirthless, and hoarse like his voice. “Who controls you?”
“Not you,” Bakugou said.
“That’s right,” Shigaraki said as he entered the room. His voice was thin and quiet. Hands gripped his body like some kind of bizarre fetish. It set all of the hair on Bakugou’s body on end. “We aren’t here to control you. We’re here to give you control.”
Bakugou narrowed his eyes. “Then free me.” Would it be that easy?
Several other villains appeared like some reject disco revival group.
“In time,” Shigaraki said. “We want to give you control, but we’re also not idiots.”
The resonance began to lessen. The sweat began to dry. Fear and terror transformed into resolution and determination. Bakugou’s jaw tensed, his stomach tightened. Midoriya had a dumb plan. What else could it mean? He had to come up with his own plan to counter it. If he freed himself then there would be no need for a stupid reckless plan. The resonance fluctuated between aching and normalcy. Bakugou would have to act sooner than later. Bakugou could still feel his quirk aching in his arms. He had to find the right time to act and find it fast.
===
In the fic the hospital raid goes differently like the whole Shigaraki vs. Midoriya thing doesn’t happen, though Shigaraki has been enhanced so he can use his quirk without destroying his body in the process.
Anyway, after the hospital raid, Endeavor finds out that samples obtained from Ujiko’s lab are a DNA match to Touya. Now the heroes are doing a preventative raid against multiple targets in different cities. Endeavor’s group is targeting an apartment complex full of villains and civilians. Bakugou and Midoriya are helping Burnin’ get civilians out of there while Endeavor wants Todoroki in his raid group in the off chance they confront the villain he assumes is Touya (aka Dabi, but Todoroki doesn’t know who Endeavor suspects is Touya). The ring goes back to a theme of jewelry, adornment as an expression of rebelion.
This sequence is set during second year in late April maybe the very start of May. It’s after Bakugou’s birthday but with enough time for students to recover to do the sports festival the weekend at the end of Golden Week. I decided to include Bakugou’s POV between the two Todoroki POV involving Dabi so it would flow as intended. When you see a ~ the POV changes.
***
Todoroki fought Endeavor many times. Frequently as an intern he was support and rescue. Only on rare occasion did they fight in the same place at the same time and even then Todoroki was not sure he would calling it fighting alongside each other. Today was different. Endeavor was deliberate, swift, and dramatic like always. He expected Todoroki and the heroes with them to keep up and assist without direction. Todoroki did not have to blink. He knew Endeavor’s attack patterns, the pauses, the direction and intensity the fire would take. He knew when to shoot his ice and when to shoot flame.
As they traveled upwards through the building, the fighting from below grew fainter. Sometimes there were ambushes, sometimes the villains attacked head on. Endeavor motioned for Todoroki to meet him on the next floor. Endeavor took stairs to the right and Todoroki to the left. The sidekicks finished securing the villains on this floor.
Todoroki charged up the stairs as silently as possible. There was no one in sight. He looked at the numbers on the doors. None of them matched the numbers he memorized.
“I told you. Get your ass downstairs!” Dabi kicked a villain with a tiger quirk near Todoroki. There was door open at the end of the hall that was closed when Todoroki arrived.
Dabi ran his hand through his hair. In the hallway light he seemed more grotesque than he had in the dark woods at the training camp. His flesh seemed to slip from the staples in places. Dabi looked at him. “You’re not my enemy.”
“You kidnapped my friend.” Todoroki slid into a stance. He drew his quirk to his hands. Dabi did not look away.
“Still doesn’t make you my enemy.” Dabi put his hands in his pockets. His shoulders almost slouched out of their sockets, but he managed to keep them where they should be.
“Touya.” Endeavor’s voice seemed to echo.
Todoroki did not move. He kept his eyes on Dabi. Endeavor was just in his line of sight down the hallway over Dabi’s shoulder.
Dabi held Todoroki’s gaze for a long moment and then rolled his eyes, turning his body so he could keep Todoroki’s movements in the corner of his eye but also look towards Endeavor while keeping himself between them. His chest moved with each breath, and he wheezed occasionally. His fingers contorted but he did not draw flame to his hand yet. “That name means nothing to both of us.”
Endeavor approached. Dabi remained where he was. His shoulders angled like a shield. For the briefest moment, something through Todoroki’s mind. Touya with his body almost in the same position except with a hand stretched out to block Todoroki even more, body tensed. Endeavor’s footsteps loud and decisive against the flooring. Touya’s hair was pale. His flames were yellow and blistered his palm and fingers. The memory faded as quickly as it arrived.
Dabi bounced on his feet. His attention turned more and more towards Endeavor.
“Your quirk was so unpredictable, I never imagined it would consume you. It was a shock. It seemed impossible.” Endeavor approached them. “So I pushed myself. I resolved to become even stronger, even stricter. Then I lost your mother, and again, I pushed myself farther. I kept pushing, I kept winning, but also losing.” Endeavor stopped walking. His flames shrank but did not extinguish. “You started me down this road. Finding you again now is a sign that my actions are the right direction now.”
“Yeah, and that direction is down!” Dabi called flame to his hand, intense and blue. The smoke carried the smell of meat turning from burnt to beyond salvaging and intensified the smell of death wafting from Dabi. Dabi lunged forward in that same instant, his flame engulfing his arm. It plunged into Endeavor’s chest and intensified further.
A low rumble approached. The building began to shake, bits of ceiling began to crumble. Dabi pulled his arm back, his hand covered in blood and arm charred to a crisp. His unused hand shoved Todoroki towards the stairs.
Todoroki stumbled. He could He could not look away as blood oozed from Endeavor’s wound and Endeavor fell to his knees. Todoroki’s feet remained stubbornly planted to the floor as the building began to creak and squeal in agony, the shaking building. Dabi grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the stairwell. Todoroki called his quirks just as the floor gave out from under him.
~
This was it. This was officially one of the worst days of Bakugou’s life. Bakugou bit his tongue. He wanted to curse. He wanted to shout. He had to keep his voice down. He had to keep his movements to a minimum. He was trapped between floors and a wrong choice could compress the debris further. Midoriya’s teeth were just about to bite through his bottom lip. His eyes flickered up towards the debris hanging centimeters above their heads dim from the emergency lights attached to their costumes. Midoriya’s gaze returned to the body between them. They landed on Endeavor when the building collapsed. They managed to dig him out without compromising things further. Midoriya pressed his undershirt firmly against Endeavor’s chest wound, trying to keep it closed. “We have to cauterize it, Kacchan.”
Bakugou took a deep breath. Yes. Yes of course. Use nitroglycerin sweat to cauterize the wound on a fire user. Bakugou grit his teeth. Even with their first aid gear they really didn’t have a better option for such a deep, gaping wound. “Fine,” he hissed, already formulating a plan. He was not going to be the reason Endeavor died. He was not. Not after Best Jeanist.
Bakugou removed his storage tanks and gloves, setting them down slowly. He waited for signs of their perch settling with the change of weight distribution but there was no movement. “Move your shirt. Hold the wound closed.”
Midoriya did so. His lips became a fine, thin line, and his brow furrowed with focus.
Bakugou took a deep breath and thought about a small amount of pressure, small sparks, a line of very excited tiny sparklers. He took two fingers and showered the wound with sparks, energetic but controlled. It did not work. Endeavor’s skin was too used to heat. Bakugou grit his teeth.
“Maybe if you –”
“Shut it.”
Midoriya surprisingly did. Bakugou breathed through his nose. Fire resistant skin meant higher heat. But even with a low level explosion he could cause organ damage. Sweat trailed down his forehead and nose in the heat. The resonance remained quiet. Bakugou frowned deeper. “I need metal.”
“My mask,” Midoriya said. “Use it. Destroy it.”
Bakugou freed it from Midoriya’s costume. He put his glove on his right hand and began heating it with his quirk from his left hand, trying to keep everything low-level. The metal did not warp or melt. It did heat. When he could feel the heat through his glove, he pressed the metal along Endeavor’s wound. The wound finally sealed.
Midoriya leaned back and removed his hands. Bakugou set the mask aside and put his gear back on his arms. If he wore them, he had more control on their weight distribution.
Endeavor continued to breathe. There were no other sounds.
“It’s eerie when you can’t feel them isn’t it?” Midoriya murmured after a long time.
Bakugou did not answer. He had not thought of Todoroki since finding himself in this collapsed hellscape. He searched the resonance a moment. There was only a dull buzz like there was when Todoroki slept.
“I can’t feel either of them,” Midoriya murmured. “They were probably on the ground floor when it happened. They were both in the final wave.” He continued to murmur to himself, his voice becoming quieter and hard to distinguish syllables.
Bakugou’s jaw tensed. The constant whispery noise almost made his ears hurt and set his brain on fire. He should probably tell Midoriya why he hated it, but then Midoriya would write it in one of those notebooks and who knew what would happen when villains got their hands on those things. Bakugou took a deep breath. He could not shout. He could not lunge for Midoriya either. “Will you shut up?!” he managed a gruff hiss.
Midoriya blinked. “Ah…sorry.”
Bakugou kept his eyes on Endeavor. He was still breathing. They already sent out a distress signal. Now all they had to do was wait.
~
Todoroki opened his eyes and then immediately closed them when his futon shook beneath him. Something gave way and he fell just a second before everything settled. He groaned and coughed, dust filling his lungs. When did his room get this dusty? Why was his futon so uncomfortable? He opened his eyes and blinked. Everything was completely dark. It felt like the ceiling was much closer than it should be. Debris seemed to lay underneath him instead of a futon. He was not in the dorm or in his bedroom. What was the last thing he remembered? His head hurt too much.
“I wouldn’t sit up if I were you,” a voice rasped.
Todoroki’s instincts and the dizziness in his head agreed. He tried to ignore his growing nausea. The resonance was full of sharp annoyance and frustration, maybe fear. It was hard to discern. It did not quite feel normal, but it was a good sign. Wherever Bakugou was, he was awake and possibly with Midoriya.
“You should talk,” the voice said.
Todoroki tried to place it, but it was hard to concentrate. The person seemed to be laying down nearby. The smell of death wafted from the same place. “Why?”
“Because you hit your head.”
Todoroki’s eyebrows drew together. He went to touch his head and then reconsidered and lowered his arm.
“Tell me about the ring.”
“It’s just a ring.”
“Endeavor wouldn’t think so.”
Todoroki frowned. “How would you know?”
“I’m his number one enemy.”
Todoroki tried to see in the darkness. There was nothing to see. “I like the ring.”
“Good. You’re not completely their dog then.”
“I’m not…a dog…” It was hard to make words. Maybe he really did have a head injury.
“All heroes are dogs.”
“No…. Just the dog ones.”
“Which are all of them.”
Todoroki opened his mouth and closed it. He tried to focus on Bakugou’s emotions. If he could just latch onto them, maybe he could stay conscious. There was more fear now and stress. Whatever was happening wherever Bakugou was must be dire and terrifying. Maybe the adrenaline would transfer.
“Shouto, keep talking.”
Todoroki opened his mouth but there were no words. His eyes fluttered closed. The darkness seemed less claustrophobic this way.
Todoroki opened his eyes. Sun filtered into a white room. The smell of death was gone, replaced by something distinct but sterile. An alarm somewhere kept ringing. It was near and then far, left and then right. Maybe there was more than one alarm. Activity rushed past. Todoroki’s brain could not focus or process it beyond acknowledgement. He tried to speak but only managed a faint graon.
“Oi!” Bakugou’s voice rose above the din before saying something unintelligible. Someone answered from nearby. Midoriya also said something. Todoroki could not process any of it. He closed his eyes.
Todoroki’s eyes opened again. The room was white again but this time there was barely any light. There was a television in the corner. There was an IV hookup in his arm and a heart monitor clamped to his finger. Fuyumi sat in a chair beside him, using a reading light to work from a binder. Todoroki blinked. Fuyumi was still there.
“What…?” his voice barely functioned.
Fuyumi closed the binder, turned off her light, and set both aside. “You’re in the hospital. Looks like the doctor’s quirk finally worked. I have to call the nurse now.” She reached over and hit the button by Todoroki’s bedside.
A medical team appeared and started poking and prodding. Todoroki slowly sat up when allowed. There was no dizziness or pain. After some water, his voice began to work properly. This was his second day at the hospital. He was in and out of consciousness for that entire time due to a healing cranial injury. He also sustained an injury to his left side, but it healed first and even when Todoroki prodded his side through his hospital gown, he felt no evidence of it.
“We should be able to release you tomorrow morning,” the doctor said. “Unless there are any more complications in the healing process. These types of injuries are always difficult even with my quirk.”
There was a long silence after the medical team left. The clock said it was about the time Todoroki would turn in for the night. He did not feel sleepy, though he could feel Bakugou’s sleepiness, exhaustion, and stress acutely.
“What do you remember last?” Fuyumi’s voice was quiet.
Bakugou and Midoriya were there, but maybe it was Dabi. It was dusty but also sterile. Strong terror and yellow flame flickered. He might have used his quirk in a building. There was blood. So much blood. Whose blood? What was clear? Endeavor must have been there but Todoroki could not remember. What was clear? What was solid? “Waiting for the signal,” he said. The memory was well before sunrise. Everyone was silent. Endeavor was just seconds from turning his flame on full. It felt real.
Fuyumi frowned. She tugged at her bottom lip in thought. “Shouto,” she said carefully, looking towards him in the dim light, “Father’s also a patient here.”
Todoroki tensed.
“They told me there was a building collapse. That makes sense with your injuries, but his…” her voice trailed.
Todoroki shivered involuntarily. His first thought was blood, All that blood. Except there was no source. Just blood. “What happened?”
Fuyumi continued in the careful voice, choosing her words deliberately. “Something happened to burrow into his chest and damage his heart. They’ve done all the healing they can, but the injury weakened his heart significantly.” Fuyumi paused to let Todoroki process the information. Then she said in a quiet voice, “They’re optimistic about his prognosis, but he’ll have to retire.”
Todoroki pulled his blankets up around himself. Even his right side felt cold. What if Endeavor did die? What if Endeavor did not die? What would retirement even look like? What would Endeavor do with that much free time? What would an Endeavor who could not use his quirk at full power be like? Would he just push himself to death even if he survived?
“I’m going to help while I can,” Fuyumi said. “So, don’t worry about Father.”
Todoroki’s frown deepened. Was he worried? Was he relieved? Guilty? Afraid? Which emotion went with which outcome? “You don’t have to do that.”
“I…I know.” Fuyumi stretched her legs out and looked down at her hands on her lap. Her lips pressed into a thin line. “But I want to. I know our childhood was beyond stressful, but things aren’t so stressful now. Maybe it can keep improving.”
Todoroki did not know what to say. Staff walked past their room. Someone’s heart monitor crashed across the hallway. There was a rush to help.
“Your friends are okay,” Fuyumi said. “I’m not sure about your classmates or teachers.”
Todoroki nodded. He was one of the people everyone waited for this time. They probably made food for him. How many others had not returned? Did they get up early and fall asleep in the common room waiting again? They should not sleep on the sofas for his sake. His shoulders slumped and he ran the hand without the IV hookup through his hair.
“Why don’t you lie down?” Fuyumi suggested. “You’re still recovering.”
Todoroki did so. Slowly exhaustion crept over him. He did not remember falling asleep.
 ===
One of the points of the fic is to get Todoroki, Bakugou, and Midoriya to a point in which all three of them become something different than they set out to become as first years. Todoroki steps out of Endeavor’s shadow, Bakugou becomes less of a King Explosion Murder, and Midoriya diverges from being an All Might clone. Part of what encourages these journeys is the corruption of the Hero Commission. That’s why, after Dabi’s captured after the building collapse, this scene happens because the Hero Commission wants what it wants and what it wants right now is confirmation that Dabi is Touya and also confirmation none of the Todoroki sibligns are working with him.
Narratively though I wanted to do this scene so Natsuo and Fuyumi are now both in on the Touya is Dabi circle.
This takes place after Todoroki is released from the hospital following recovering from injuries sustained in the raid from the previous section. The reason they’re not at Tartarus is Shigaraki eroded Tartarus when he broke Kurogiri out of prison a few sections ago.
***
Golden Week meant a break from internships in lieu of the sports festival and this year also meant a time for recovery from the recent raid. Today was one of the days off school, and Class 2-A planned an outdoor lunch. It sounded fun, but Todoroki would have to skip it. That morning, All Might arrived at the dorms to collect him with Detective Tsukauchi. They picked up Fuyumi and Natsuo and began a long drive. Detective Tsukauchi drove, choosing a playlist that had a mix of music from several decades. All Might hummed along quietly frequently especially to the songs that were in English.
The car ride kept going. Where? No one would say. Why? Still no answers. Todoroki stared out the window as mountains, houses, and fields passed. They were on the road with the whole of Japan it felt like. When Detective Tsukauchi turned off the music, they entered a section of tunnel that required his ID.
There were several forms to fill out, all of which Fuyumi had to sign as Todoroki’s present guardian. There were still no details.
“It’s like we’re going to meet a prisoner or something,” Natsuo murmured.
“What else would it be?” Fuyumi whispered.
“But why?” Natsuo whispered.
Todoroki said nothing. He glanced at All Might. All Might kept watch.
Once the papers were signed, All Might cleared his throat. “I’m sorry we could not say anything sooner. This matter is highly confidential.”
“About what?” Natsuo asked.
“Even I am unsure of all the details.” All Might’s eyes seemed to soften. His lips were a thin line.
Todoroki stared at him for a long moment. He glanced at Natsuo and Fuyumi. Natsuo’s jaw tensed. Fuyumi stood straighter.
“Are we in danger?” Fuyumi asked.
“No,” All Might said.
“Is this something Shouto should really be doing?” Fuyumi asked.
“The Hero Commission believes so.”
“But do you?”
All Might was quiet a long moment. “From what I understand, there is no reason he should not.”
Todoroki watched All Might’s face. It was that face when Midoriya broke his fingers. The face when Bakugou and Midoriya fought after the kidnapping. That face. All Might did not like this. Todoroki tensed and looked around them. There was no one out of place. There were no windows. There were only two doors in view. His eyes returned to All Might. All Might held his gaze. “You are all safe,” All Might mouthed.
It seemed that way. Todoroki remained silent. He followed his siblings, Detective Tsukauchi, and a pro with a wasp theme down the hall. All Might brought up the rear. There was an observation room at the end of the hall. The siblings sat in the chairs provided. The room on the other side of the glass was dark.
“I will be outside the door,” All Might said. He closed it behind him. The siblings were alone.
“I don’t like this,” Natsuo whispered.
“If they were going to do something I think they would have done it by now,” Fuyumi whispered.
Todoroki remained silent.
The lights in the other room turned on. Todoroki’s heart caught in his throat but in a way vastly different from how it moved when he was around Bakugou. Fuyumi froze, her fingers curving but not quite curling.
“Touya!” Natsuo exclaimed, his voice thin.
Dabi stared at them. He was strapped to a chair and there were reinforced gloves on his hands to smother ignition. He laughed a dry, hoarse cough. “The assholes running this place must be desperate for fun.”
Fuyumi’s fingers curled into fists. Todoroki tried to keep his attention forward. He tried to keep his mind focused. It kept flickering back to the villain raid. The fire. The blood. The collapse….
“This doesn’t make any sense.” Natsuo said. “What the hell is this? What kind of sick entertainment….?” his voice thinned further. “How long have you been alive?”
“Who said I was alive?” Dabi snorted. “Surprised you were let in here without the chimney to supervise.”
“I’m in charge here,” Fuyumi said firmly. Her gazed locked with Dabi’s gaze.
“Ooooo….teacher voice,” Dabi said. “What are you going to do? Expel me?”
“I’m in charge here,” Fuyumi repeated. “This is cruel and unusual punishment for all of us. I work hard. I don’t use my quirk on others. I pay our bills. I make sure everyone has what they need. What has Natsuo and Shouto done to deserve this shock? Why couldn’t you people tell me and let me handle this? I’m the oldest. This is my burden. There was no reason to do this to my brothers.”
“Fuyumi…” Natsuo murmured.
“No.” Fuyumi’s fists tightened steadily. “No, I’m serious. Shouto is only sixteen. He’s fighting a war. Natsuo is working so hard to become a nurse, which must be so stressful. How does this help them? How does this help anyone? It doesn’t. This is unproductive.”
“Then what are you going to do about it, Fuyumi?” Dabi asked. “You don’t use your quirk on people.”
“None of us should!” Fuyumi said. “Isn’t that what we all should have learned?”
Dabi snorted. He leaned his head back as much as the high back of his chair would allow. “If these freaks want a show. I can give them one.”
Todoroki tensed. He turned the palm of his right hand upward and curved his fingers, keeping his movements small so not to draw attention from anyone observing. He did not call his quirk, but waited.
“When Natsuo was two he was a fucking prodigy. He opened his mouth one morning and let out a bunch of misty icy fog into the playroom. It was ridiculous like a fucking frog or something.” Dabi smirked but there was no mirth in his eyes. “Anyway, we had a blast. We played swamp monster for hours. Fuyumi and Mom would have loved it, but Fuyumi had a fever so they were busy. This was before we had anyone else watching us.
“Anyway, Endeavor comes home and the playroom is a fucking disaster. Everything’s been stewing in frozen mist all day. Mom never saw it so no one gave a shit about it, so we just didn’t realize you know what was coming.”
Todoroki’s heart rate sped up involuntarily. He could almost finish the story though he had not lived it.
“So Endeavor comes home and he’s pissed already because that’s who he is. He starts roaring audibly fire and voice. No clue what the fuck he said it was all noise. He grabs Natsuo because the last time he grabbed me he left bruises without even trying. I had to make a choice. I had to do something. So I light myself on fucking fire.” Another breathless coughy laugh escaped. There was still no mirth. “It hurt like a bitch. I was covered in blisters immediately. Endeavor shoves Natsuo aside and starts shouting at me and rolled me up in this carpet in the playroom until all the fire was out. So now I couldn’t run, couldn’t hide. Natsuo is crying.
“Mother appears.”
Dabi’s face contorted. “She should have stayed with Fuyumi. Mother could do this thing where she could cover her body in ice, so she had this shield. I tried to get out of the rug but it was too tight. I couldn’t do anything. Natsuo kept crying. I didn’t know what to do. So that night I took Natsuo and ran away.”
“What…?” Fuyumi whispered.
“We got picked up by the police immediately. So I made up a bullshit story about a villain with a fog quirk. It worked? Endeavor actually told me I was brave or some shit. How the fuck did that work? Everything got stricter after that.”
“What the heck…?” Natsuo whispered. “What the…? I don’t remember any of this! My quirk’s too weak to even show up!”
Dabi wheezed. “Lies.” He sighed. “My story is true. You can prove it. Open your mouth and let it fly.”
“Don’t,” Fuyumi whispered, her teeth close together.
“I read the agreement,” Natsuo whispered. “Besides, we all know my quirk’s a dud.”
“There’s more proof of the story,” Dabi said. “You’ve got burn scars on your elbows.”
Natsuo tugged at the sleeve of his shirt self consciously. He pressed his lips together. “Endeavor’s grabbed me like that lots of times because I’m as good as quirkless.”
“Who said that? Endeavor? Fuck him.” Dabi snorted.
“Well maybe you’d know if you didn’t disappear! I saw you die! Fuyumi saw you die! Endeavor saw you die! Mother saw him carry your body out the door! And here you are!” Natsuo’s chest heaved. His lips trembled. Tears formed but did not fall. “We’re just some freak show. Can’t even take you home.”
“That’s not my home.”
“Touya –”
“Dabi. My name is Dabi. Touya died from his injuries in a white room. I’m going to die in a ball of fire.”
“You’re just going to die again?! What kind of BS is that?!” Natsuo’s fists were so tight his knuckles paled.
“Do you really think the heroes will let me live after I ripped Endeavor’s heart out? Natsuo, you’re a genius. You can do math like some human calculator. They’re not going to let me live. They already took the bad doctor away. It’s already set in stone. I just got to do it first before I fall to pieces.”
“Wait,” Fuyumi said. Tiny snowflakes began to appear instead of tears. They melted the instant they touched Todoroki. “I didn’t hear that right. You did what?”
“I ripped Endeavor’s heart out. You can thank me later.”
Fuyumi sucked in a breath. “You did that?”
“Yeah.”
Fuyumi’s fingers trembled. Her arms trembled. The tremor worked its way to her torso, her face, her legs, and feet. “I….” More snowflakes appeared. “I didn’t want that!”
“That’s because you’re too steeped in Endeavor’s bullshit –”
“I AM NOT!” Fuyumi held Dabi’s gaze. “He was terrible to us! He used his quirk on his own family! That’s not love! But….but that doesn’t mean he deserved what you did! He was changing!”
“He wasn’t changing! He can’t change! If he was going to change, then he should have changed the first time he used his quirk against Mother! He should have changed when –” Dabi tried to shout but it led to coughing and a quiet, wheezy, “Fuck.”
Fuyumi waited for the coughing fit to pass. She sat straight in her chair. Her fists were so tight her nails drew blood from her palms. More snowflakes fell from her eyes, some gathered around her fists. “Did you even think about the consequences?! Did you even think about us?!”
“Of course I did! I didn’t even attack Shouto in that stupid forest or at the raid.” Dabi’s hand moved in Todoroki’s direction vaguely despite being restrained.
“No! No you didn’t think of us at all! This isn’t cathartic, it’s a nightmare! I woke up in the middle of the night and Dad and Shouto were both unconscious and in the hospital and had been for hours! I had to sit there and watch them decide if they were going to live or die! Now I have to deal with you as a villain in this place. I…” Fuyumi shuddered with a silent sob. “I…” She could not finish. She removed her glasses and put her hands on her eyes. Snowflakes kept falling from her hands and face.
No one spoke. Todoroki saw every sob but Fuyumi made no noise. How many times did she cry and they just did not know? How stressed was she? What could he do? What was he supposed to do?
“Do something, Natsuo,” Dabi said.
Natsuo’s hand hovered above Fuyumi’s head. “Do you…? Should….?”
“I don’t know,” Fuyumi wailed as quietly as possible.
“For fuck’s sake. Just wrap your arms around her. That’s what you do. She’s a crier,” Dabi said.
Why was it so hard? Todoroki frowned and then put his hand on Fuyumi’s shoulder. “Is it too hot?”
“No….”
Natsuo slid as far over as he could in his chair that was bolted to the floor. He put an arm over her shoulders.
Fuyumi just cried harder but still silently.
“We should….We should go,” Natsuo said. “Fuyumi’s This isn’t productive.”
Todoroki looked up at the ceiling trying to find the camera. He could not locate any. Perhaps a quirk recorded them instead or the cameras were too well hidden. “Let us out! We’re done!”
There were several voices outside the door.
“Then you’ll have to arrest me!” All Might boomed.
Silence followed.
The door unlocked. All Might appeared, breathing labored. “Let’s go.” He looked at them a long moment and then looked at someone behind the wall in the hallway. “We’re leaving.” It was firm. Final.
Natsuo and Todoroki helped Fuyumi to her feet. She could not stop crying. Natsuo wrapped an arm around her shoulders and helped her to the door. Todoroki paused and looked back at Dabi.
“See you later, little brother!” Dabi called out. The lights on his side of the glass went out.
Todoroki lingered. The other room remained completely dark. Was that really Touya?
“Todoroki-shounen, we must go,” All Might’s voice was barely audible.
Fuyumi still cried snowflakes. She still made no noise. Natsuo offered her some tissues. Todoroki swallowed something in his throat. He followed All Might out of the room.

So, I needed a subplot for Todoroki so he didn’t like disappear in the word count. I was also not really sure what to do with Gang Orca who’s his current internship. I kind of didn’t know what to do until I decided when the League broke Dabi out of prison, the Hero Commission put the Todoroki family basically under a type of house arrest to prevent Dabi from interacting with them. This evolved into the Hero Commission trying to bait Dabi into attacking Endeavor or any of the other sitting ducks in a bid to recapture Dabi.
Meanwhile, after resonating so much Todoroki and Bakugou double knocked each other out with their amplified attacks at the sports festival, they realize they have to train this soulbond resonance thing. Aizawa is helping them do this, since Aizawa has done it before (though this is just heavily implied in the fic, Aizawa never tells them why he’s the one training them).
So, this section picks up in October or so of second year after the cultural festival. Class 2-A put on a play Kouda wrote about superhero insects. That’s what the first part of this section is going on about. Also, as a side note, Bakugou’s new internship is with Miruko. Natsuo and Todoroki have been messaging each other since the family dinner incident. since part of the goal of the fic is for Todoroki to grow closer to both Natsuo and Fuyumi.
***
The play was a success. The jokes for the most part landed and the audience seemed to enjoy the ending when Hagakure sent Bakugou sliding across the stage. They won their year but the overall school champion was Class 1-J and their maze. After the festival wrapped, it was time to study for midterms. The mornings grew increasingly chilly making jogging easier. By the end of the month, Todoroki was running faster and found he had more strength and endurance during his resonance training.
Today was the last day to train the resonance before midterms. When their cellphones buzzed to indicate the end to the session, Todoroki and Bakugou walked over to Aizawa. Aizawa observed them a long moment. “For the last few weeks, you’ve gotten to a point I don’t need to use my quirk during some of our sessions. You’re showing greater control when attacking and greater control when you try to disconnect from the resonance. After midterms, I think you will be able to start practicing attacking simultaneously. Custom dual attacks can come later after you prove you won’t create indiscriminate bombs you can’t control.”
“About time,” Bakugou said. He let off a series of sparks, each spark diminishing in intensity as Todoroki calmed and Bakugou’s excitement grew.
The session ended. After cleaning up and changing, they headed to the cafeteria, walking in step with each other. Todoroki’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and then accessed his messages with Natsuo.
Natsuo: I did it! Behold~
Natsuo:  [a stack of Japanese style pancakes sitting on a plate]
Natsuo:  Be jealous.
Todoroki silently snorted. He texted as he walked, too hungry to pause.
Todoroki: No syrup?
Natsuo: I put the sugar in the batter.
Todoroki’s lips turned upward as he put his phone back in his pocket. While stuck in his apartment near campus, Natsuo started cooking regularly. He always sent Todoroki a photo of his successes. Todoroki hoped the pancakes tasted as good as they looked.
That phantom tightness returned to Todoroki’s stomach. Bakugou looked away casually like Todoroki could not feel the tightness.
“Are you okay?” Todoroki asked.
“Of course I am.”
Todoroki’s phone buzzed several times like a phone call. He frowned and glanced at the screen. It was a call from Natsuo. Natsuo never called. Todoroki slowed and answered the call.
“…going to kill you,” a faraway voice murmured.
“You don’t know that!” Natsuo hissed. He also seemed far away from the phone.
Todoroki froze. His heart started beating faster but it was different than when Bakugou made it beat faster.
“How can you trust the Hero Commission to do anything? They looked at Mother’s medical assessment and said, ‘Yeah nothing to see here,’ and then locked her away.” Dabi was the faraway voice.
“She has a legitimate mental illness you know. Oh wait. You don’t know. You decided to fuck off on us!”
Todoroki looked down the hall. Bakugou stood only two paces away, eyes fixed on him. “Get Aizawa,” Todoroki mouthed.
Bakugou disappeared back towards the gym.
“Do you think I chose to die?!” There was a raspy, breathy chuckle.
“Well, you’re still alive, so I don’t know!” Natsuo shouted.
There was a scuffle. Something or someone seemed to hit a wall possibly.
“Shut up! Shut up! Do you want to get busted?!” Dabi hissed. Then he said something too quiet for Todoroki to discern all the words.
Aizawa and Bakugou appeared. Todoroki bit his inner lip. There were no more voices, but he did not dare take the phone from his ear. “Sensei…I….” his voice trailed. He tried to ignore his own rushing, cycling emotions. “Natsuo’s phone called me. Dabi’s there.” His voice was not as firm as he wanted it to sound. He hoped no one on the other end would hear him and end the call.
There were still no more voices on Natsuo’s end of the call.
Aizawa pulled out his own phone. “I’m going to contact Detective Tsukauchi. Don’t hang up.”
On the phone, someone in another apartment turned on the television or maybe the radio. Someone honked multiple times outside the window. There were no other noises.
Todoroki’s heart kept pounding. He did not move.
Aizawa greeted Tsukauchi barely. “I’ve been alerted that Dabi is at Todoroki Natsuo’s location.” He looked at Todoroki. “Are they talking?”
Todoroki shook his head.
“There are no voices on the call now.” Aizawa was quiet for a long moment. “Alright. Thanks.” He hung up and looked at Todoroki. “He’s going to forward the information.”
Todoroki nodded. The television kept playing. There was the sound of a door barely. Then nothing. Absolutely nothing. The call ended. Todoroki’s phone slipped from his hand. He took a step back and leaned against the wall. His hands kept trembling. He was sort of certain Dabi would not hurt Natsuo. He was not sure about the Hero Commission. Now what? What about Fuyumi? Was Dabi going to try and take her too? Would he come to UA? What kind of battle would that be this time?
Aizawa’s hand hovered beside Todoroki’s arm and then withdrew. “Todoroki, I need you to breathe.” His voice was low, steady.
“Natsuo’s not a villain,” Todoroki whispered. “Fuyumi’s not either….”
“I know,” Aizawa’s voice was quiet, still firm.
“But do they know?” Todoroki put emphasis on the word they.
Aizawa did not answer. Maybe he could not answer or did not know.
Todoroki took a few deep breaths. What could he do? He could not leave campus. Even if he could leave campus, then what? Even if he was there, then what? Could he have stopped it?
“Todoroki,” Aizawa said, pausing until Todoroki looked at him, “you can’t let what ifs and unknowns overwhelm you. If you need things, ask for them. We might not be able to let you leave here, but there are other things we can do.” He paused and waited. When Todoroki said nothing, Aizawa said, “I’ll let you know if there are updates.”
“Thanks.” Todoroki took a deep breath and stepped away so he could pick his phone up off the floor. “I’ll…let you know if there’s anything.” Did he want anything? Did he need anything? There was a rushing in his ears with no sound. His shoulders tensed. He wanted to scream.
Aizawa left.
Bakugou watched the direction Aizawa left in for a long moment. He was either calm or his emotions so much quieter than Todoroki’s own that Todoroki could barely feel any of them.
Todoroki remained standing in the hallway, clutching his phone. What should he do? Should he call Fuyumi? Was she in danger? Should he text Endeavor? He was definitely in danger. Did they already know? If they asked for details, Todoroki would have none to give. He could not even prove Dabi took Natsuo, though he doubted Dabi would kill Natsuo. Kurogiri probably used his quirk. Todoroki’s grip on his phone tightened. His jaw clenched.
Bakugou approached and extended a hand. When Todoroki did not step away, Bakugou carefully worked the phone out of Todoroki’s grip. “Breathe,” his voice was louder than a whisper but still quiet.
Todoroki inhaled and exhaled. He lowered his head and then ran a hand through his hair.
“I’d kick your ass in the gym but we already did that. Miruko says what we need most now is protein and rest.”
“I don’t know if I can eat.” Todoroki’s stomach rumbled in protest.
“Do you want to bother with the fucks in the cafeteria or eat at the dorm?”
Todoroki rubbed his face. His thoughts were still all over the place. “I want…to do something normal.” Maybe. He had to do something at least. He also had to eat. Maybe things would seem steadier after eating.
Bakugou nodded. He handed the phone back to Todoroki, who put it in his pocket.
“Thanks.” Todoroki tried to breathe deeply. He put a hand on Bakugou’s shoulder. It made things seem more real. Todoroki dropped his hand and headed to the cafeteria.
A few seconds later, Bakugou followed. They parted on their way to get their food as they always did. Todoroki took another deep breath and kept his face neutral. His emotions were still anything but.
===
While Todoroki’s stuck on campus indefinitely, he’s been interning with Present Mic temporarily since he can’t go to his internship with Gang Orca. This will be Dabi’s final appearance in the fic.
I decided to kill Dabi because I wanted to keep a 1:1 hero : villain death ratio. So since Best Jeanist died earlier in the fic, Dabi was the League member to die.
***
Everything seemed surreal. Todoroki sat on the floor in Aizawa’s and Present Mic’s apartment with a cat nestled against his left side. Eri stretched out on the other side of the cat. She had a blank notebook she was filling with doodles. She sang softly with the pop act preforming on the New Year’s variety show on the television. Present Mic and Aizawa were in the kitchen preparing food. The apartment was a modest two-bedroom apartment in commuting distance to UA. Artwork and photos decorated the living room. On either side of the TV were two picture frames. One was a selfie of Present Mic and Aizawa that had to be almost ten years old from when they first moved in and the other was a timed photo with Eri on the sofa from last year. The same cat against Todoroki’s side was the cat Eri held in the photo. The second cat was more aloof and remained in Aizawa and Present Mic’s bedroom on its own volition.
After lunch, Present Mic received permission from the Hero Commission for Todoroki to leave campus under certain conditions. Todoroki could only go to the off campus apartment, he could not tell anyone outside of UA staff that he was not on campus, and he had to return to UA by noon tomorrow. How Present Mic made it happen, Todoroki did not know.
Paper ripped, drawing Todoroki’s attention. Eri sat up and smiled that same awkward smile from the photo except it reached her eyes more now. “I drew this for you.” The picture was the two of them sitting on the floor with the warm cat and the aloof cat. She drew the cats better than the people. Across the top of the drawing was “Happy New Year” written in hiragana.
“It’s really nice.” Maybe more than that. It was the first drawing someone gave him. Todoroki rolled it up carefully and set it where it would stay nice. He would put it up in his dorm room later.
“Maybe when Mei-chan gets used to you she’ll come out of the bedroom. She’s very soft.” Eri smiled a little bigger. “Last year she curled up with me on the sofa. I want to stay up all night this year!” It was an ambitious goal.
Eri made it to about ten thirty before she reluctantly fell asleep between the cats on the floor. Aizawa put her to bed. Close to midnight, Present Mic cracked the window and they listened to gongs from a nearby temple. By twelve fifteen, Aizawa was in bed. Present Mic and Todoroki finished a movie that started a little after midnight. By three in the morning, only Todoroki remained in the living room. He could not sleep. The futon was comfortable but his mind kept wandering. He scrolled through his messages.
Fuyumi messaged him leading up to midnight and a little after before disappearing. Bakugou sent him pictures of food that Todoroki responded to with little cat stickers he found in his phone options. The Class 2-A chat finally quieted for the night for the most part. Todoroki put his earbuds in and opened a music app. He opened a user profile that had several playlists of music sorted by century. He was several playlists in, but still in music made before quirks. This playlist was a bit peppier than the previous playlist. He saved songs he liked to a playlist of favorites. Todoroki watched colorful lights shoot across his phone screen, moving somehow in rhythm to the music. It was hypnotizing
His phone buzzed.
Hero Highway: Endeavor spotted in Shinjuku! Live feed!
Hero Highway was a service that tapped into local security cameras and provided live streams of events in real time, some of which never made the news. Midoriya suggested it along with some similar services that also specialized in rare footage and news. Todoroki hesitated and the alert disappeared, returning him to the light display and music. He paused the music and closed out of the app. He opened Hero Highway.
The video angle was from the perspective of a security camera second story balcony on the same side of the road. Endeavor stood almost unrecognizable, his muscles considerably leaner and his shirt almost a size too big. The building behind Endeavor glowed orange, setting a familiar glow in absence of flames.
Dabi stood a few meters to the left facing Endeavor, his shoulders surprisingly relaxed. Cars sped past them on the other side of the road. People nearby gawked. Some wore kimono, others street clothes.
“Where’s Natsuo, Touya?” Endeavor asked, his voice barely carrying to the microphone.
“That’s not my name now,” Dabi hissed, his voice carrying slightly more. “Natsuo is safe.”
“Your lair isn’t safe!” Endeavor’s posture changed to the one he struck most often before igniting. There were still no flames.
“It’s safer than being surrounded by Commission pricks!
“It’s safer than surrounded by Commission pricks! I mean look what they did to Hawks. Who would trust them with their children?” Dabi’s voice grew louder.
“Touya –”
“You know when I was twelve I reported you to the police,” Dabi said, projecting his voice as if on stage. “They threatened me! They said I must be desperate for attention! That if we angered you, we were at fault! That I lied about Mother! They said it was discipline! That wasn’t discipline!” his voice grew in intensity and volume. He let over several wheezy coughs after.
Endeavor said something in response, but it was too quiet for the camera to record.
“No! I won’t! Everyone should know! If the Musutafu police office is worth their asses, they’ve still go it on record! It’ll be from March fifteen years ago at midnight. I detailed everything. If anyone wants to go digging, it’ll be the file about the father who uses his fire quirk against his family. Sometimes it’s ‘training’ sometimes it’s an argument, sometimes it’s ‘discipline’ which leaves blistered and marks. It sucked ass when it was me. I hated waking up to an immediate fight or being covered in burn salve gauze, but then Shouto got his quirk that February and everything changed.
“Who fucking trains a three year old by attacking them? Who fucking does that? Surprise attacks. Constant fear. Constant vigilance. I had to watch you fuck him up like you fucked me up. I started trying to stand up to you, but my fucking body isn’t made for this shit. I just couldn’t take it. I just stressed out and lit myself on fire. I didn’t even fucking think.” Dabi snorted. “I can still remember standing up to you, trying to protect Shouto. I would still have the scars on my palm, but…” Dabi bent his arm at the elbow and made a gesture with his hand, “well, this skin isn’t really mine. The bad doctor kept patching me up with treated cadaver skin.”
“I know I made mistakes,” Endeavor said, his voice carrying this time. “I’ve been working to atone for them. I want everyone’s lives going forward to be better than they were. That’s why I built that house, that’s why I told the doctors it would be all right if Rei transitioned away from the hospital. It’s why I’ve made promises to everyone I intend to keep and have kept. It’s why I need to find Natsuo.”
“If you find Natsuo, they’ll just send him to jail now. You know that.” Dabi snorted. Flame flickered to his hand. “I’ve been thinking about revenge for almost twelve years – Hell, maybe my whole life. When you captured the bad doctor, my body started falling apart. Not even Natsuo can do what that geezer’s laboratory could. I’m royally fucked, but it showed me what I should do.” Fire shot up Dabi’s arm. “Fuck killing you! Fuck this body! Fuck your mistakes! Fuck your promises! Fuck everything! Live with this! You can’t save what you throw away!” Dabi’s entire body erupted in blue flame. There was a cry of shock and fear from the onlookers.
“Touya! Touya!” Endeavor ran towards him.
Dabi’s flames grew more intense. When Endeavor reached him, his flames ignited even brighter, leaping to Endeavor’s clothes and skin. Dabi fell to his knees, his flames becoming a blue beacon in the street, his body too weathered and dry to fight his quirk. Endeavor kept trying to extinguish the flames, ignoring those on his own body, but they were too intense and fast. All too quickly, all of the flames extinguished as Dabi’s quirk stopped. Endeavor sat back on his knees. A howl echoed through the street and buildings. It was not quite a cry or wail, not quite a scream or shout.
Todoroki dropped his phone. His hands shook. Tears threatened but did not fall. Touya was important to him even if his memories were faint and short. Dabi terrorized his friends and committed so many crimes even if he did not attack Todoroki directly. Dabi made Fuyumi cry and kidnapped Natsuo. Todoroki did not like Dabi. He might have loved Touya. Endeavor’s howl echoed in Todoroki’s ears even though he no longer wore his earbuds. What kind of noise was that? Was that even real? Was any of it real?
Todoroki pulled his blankets over his head. He shut his eyes tight. All he could see was Dabi burning. Todoroki opened his eyes. He did not know what to do.

Birthday Boys
Summary: A Modern setting AU for the Todoroki´s birthday boys. It’s basically a reunion fic, so enjoy.
Part 1 of 4 (For now)
Next part next Saturday.
P.s : Happy Birthday Shouto
Warning: Mentions of past abuse and street violence
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“We have the chips, nee-san” A stoic looking teenager said as he entered the place carring a plastic bag. A smaller greenette behind him carring three bags and two other teenagers with presents, too. “And Iida and Uraraka are here”
“Welcome!” Fuyumi said, taking the bags from his brother and the green kid.
This may have been an ordinary thing for anybody. But not for this family.
Before their fathers arrest, life for the Todoroki family was a nightmare. They had no normalcy. Birthdays were never celebrated, Shouto wasn’t allowed to interact with his sibblings and their mother had snapped and had to be interned to a hospital for the sake of her menyal health. And Touya…
Well, they didn’t like to think about it.
But now, they were a family, that could have friends over and celebrate their birthdays together and however they saw fit, without worring over what would happen to their mother or baby brother if Enji found out.
When their father was finally out of the picture, Fuyumi, being the older sibbling (not eldest, she wasn’t the eldest) inherited all of Enji´s money and possesions. From the state to his boxing trophies. She sold the state and bought a nice apartment near her job, Natsuo’s collegue and Shouto High school. She basically lived alone since Natsuo had a roomate on campus, Shouto had the dorms in UA and their mother wasn’t ready to live utside the hospital.
But, now that Enji was gone, Natsuo came by more often and their mother had recoverred enought to go outside without trembling. Although, to Fuyumi, the best part was that Shouto came every Friday night and stayed until Monday morning when he had to go to school.
Every weekend felt like a dream. Because they were all together. Well… almost.
Little by little the guest started to arrive. There weren’t many people over, Shouto’s class, two other friends and Midoriya’s mom and stepdad. They couldn’t not invite them.
It was thanks to them that they were able to be were they are now. Who would have thought that the adopted son of their old man’s rival, would have been the start of their salvation?
Before the dorm sistem was applied at UA, the green kid, Izuku Midoriya did everything he could to help Shouto when he learned about their father. He would help him feel included, explain everything he didn’t understand, he even kept him in his house for a month during break. That was when Mrs Inko and Mr Yagi learned about their situacion. And when Mrs Midoriya helped Fuyumi get over her fear of her dad to report him.
The process was rather quick. Even if their father was a famous and respected boxing champion, there was too much evidence against him. He was locked down in November.
The party was going expectacularly. They weren’t allowed to make too much noise because of their mom, but Shouto’s classmates were heaven sent. They didn’t make a mess and even included their mother in activities. Even the explosive blonde that, according to Shouto, knows more cuss words than mentally possible, was calmingly explaining to their mom how to beat his classmates in Mario Kart.
“Fuyumi,” Mrs Inko called her from the living room. “the front desk called, they said somebody is at the entrance and that they need to speak with you.”
“Oh, it’s probably another guest, could you watch over the food?”
“Yes, dear”
She took her keys and headed to the elevator. When she reached the front desk, she noticed a… tired looking guy wearing a black hooding and pants playing with his phone and sitting on the floor. He didn’t look up from the screen until she asked him if he was the one that asked for her.
The man (could she called him that? the guy was so skinny that if he wasn’t malnurished, he was probably a really tall teenager) stood up and put his hands in his hoody’s pocket. “My name is Shigaraki Tomura, I think I know your brother?”
“Do you?” She didn’t remember him. If he was in Shouto’s class, she would have seen him at least once.
“Is this him?” The stranger took his wallet off his back pocket and showed her a picture.
It was her brother. But not Shouto or Natsuo.
It was spikey, messed up hair that he refused to brush. Hard edges that had been bruised more times than she could count. Turquoise eyes that burned with rage that increased after every training section with dad.
There were things that could have throw her off. Like the piercings, the black hair, the arms completly covered in ink.
But that was him.
He was looking at the camera confused with a steaming mug in his hand.
That was Touya. Her big brother. The eldest sibbling. Their missing piece.
Suddenly, she couldn’t talk. She had so many question but none of them, not even one wanted to come out. Her eyes were getting watery, but she could barelly notice with her feelings and doubts swarming in her head.
She took a deep breath to try to calm herself. She couldn’t scare off the only lead in 10 years of Touya off.
“How did you get that picture?” She finally asked, her voice shakey and almost breaking.
The guy, Shigaraki, closed his wallet and sighted. “We live together. He goes by Dabi now though. I thought you might want to see him again” He took out a card of his wallet and took a pen from the receptionist. He scribbled something down and offered it to her. “My number is in it. If I don’t answer, call the bar and ask for Kurogiri. He will give me any message you leave.”
She took the card carefully without looking at it. As if she did, she would wake up and this would be a dream.
“I should warn you though” He continued “He hasn´t been in the best… company for a while. Hope I hear from you”. With that, Shimura turned and left, leaving Fuyumi alone in the lobby.
She could still feel the rought paper of the card against her palm. She headed back to the elevator in automatic. Not that it mattered. Very little things mattered right now. The only thing that was now on her mind was that Touya wasn’t dead.
And it wasn’t delusional hope, this was real. She saw proof. She had proof. Finally looking down, she read the card.
Black Mist Bar xxxx-xxxx
Shigaraki T. xxx-xx-xxx-xx
The last part was written down with a messy scribble but it was there. Solid proof that Touya was alive and that they could see him again. Feeling tears fall out of her eyes, she put the card in her back pocket and headed out of the elevator to her apartment. She rubbed the tears off with her sleeve, minding her glasses and entered as if her world hadn’t been turn upside down.
The place was still filled with laughter and joy. The kids were all still playing Mario Kart but were searching for other games to play in a shelf, Rei was speaking with Natsuo and Mr Toshinori and Mrs Midoriya was leaving food in their coffee table for the kids.
Once the party finished and all of Shouto´s friend left, Fuyumi drove their mother to the hospital. She thought about telling her about the news, but decided not to. The last time they told her mother news about him, was when he ran away. She didn’t react well and they had to sedate her so she wouldn’t hurt herself.
Besides, the only thing she knew was that this random guy Sigaraki, thought that maybe his roommate was their long lost brother. Giving her mother the news that his first son that is presummed dead might be alive to then tell her that it wasn’t him or a ruse seemed cruel. And her mother was making an excellent progress, today was an milestone for her. She spent almost five hour with more that 20 people with loud noises without having an relapse. She even smiled and made a new friend with Mrs Inko.
She couldn’t tell her. Not yet.
When she arrived back home, Natsuo and Shouto were cleaning up. They were both talking animatedly about all the gifts Shouto had received. They looked so happy.
‘Should I tell them?’ Fuyumi questioned. She didn’t have to worry about their reaction, not like with her mom. But Natsuo had already lost all hope of finding Touya, considered him the dead 4 years ago, and Shouto bearly knew him. Even if they both had been through the same (Why their father decided to beat his eldest and younger child was something they never learnt), Shouto was 5 when Touya ran away at 15.
“Nee-san?” Shouto called her, staring at her worried, “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, yeah. Of course” She tried to lie to them. But apparently it didn’t work because her two brothers shared a look and then turned back to her.
“Fuyu, what’s wrong?” Natsuo asked as he came near her.
Fuyumi sighted and told them about what happened. Shouto, with his never-changing poker face, didn’t have much of reaction, but Natsuo…. He couldn’t belive it, wouldn´t belive it.
“Fuyumi, are you stupid?” Natsuo asked angry “You beleave this…. random guy that shows up out of nowhere saying that our dead brother has been alive ALL THIS TIME, just because he showed you a picture of somebody that looks like him that could of been edited? Fuyu, that guy is obviously lying to get you alone to kidnap you or kill you or worse!”
“You think I don´t know thats a posibility!?” She answered, insulted by her brother´s words. “I’m not saying that I’m going to do whatever he wants just because he might know something about Touya. But this is the only lead we had in 10 years. What if this is him? What if he wants to come back to us?”
“Then he would have come years ago! I know you miss him, I do too! But he is GONE, OKAY!? He isn’t coming back!” Natsuo wiped his leaking eyes and took some plates to the kitchen.
As she listened the water running of the sink, she sighted and sat down on the couch.  Shouto sat next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Fuyumi returned the gesture by hugging him.
“What was the guys name?” Shouto asked quietly as to not break the moment.
Fuyumi took a deep breath and let go off him to reach for the card with the two numbers. “Shigaraki Tomura” She told him handing him the card. Shouto took it and stared at it quietly.
Dinner was… quiet. The fight still fresh made it eternal and once they finished their soba, all three sibblings were happy to leave the table. Shouto went to his room and Natsuo to the other bedroom while Fuyumi cleaned. A couple of minutes later, Natsuo came out with his bags packed.
“Natsuo, it’s late. You shouldn’t go out at this hour.” Fuyumi told him, already expecting this reaction to their argument.
“Don’t worry, I’m careful” He told her. ‘Unlike you’
“Nee-san,” In that moment, Shouto came out of his room with his laptop. “Is this the guy from today?” Turning the device so the screen faced her, Fuyumi saw it had a Youtube Channel filled with video games with Shigaraki’s face on the bottom corner.
“Yeah thats him” The three surrounded the computer and Shouto pressed on one of the videos.
“Hello and welcome back to this hell-hole We are playing Kindergarden this day. The game that recreates childhood perfectly; with cheating whores, bullys with daddy issues and getting shot on the head. Today, I’m gonna try to kill everyone of my classmates. Let’s start the blood bath…”
“Okay, so he is real.” Natsuo paused the video, “That doesn’t mean he knows Touya”
Fuyumi went back to his channel and looking at his bio, she noticed a name. Opening another tab and logging into her Instagram, she searched for @.Dabi.Inferno.. The user had his page full of different body parts covered in beautiful and complicated drawings and designs. And for the profile picture there was a photograph of a man in front of a shop with a blue neon sign that read ‘Inferno’
That man was Touya. Just like it looked in the picture Shigaraki showed Fuyumi. Black hair, tattoos, piercings, blue eyes like dad. The only difference was that here he was using different clothes and he was smirking.
They stayed in silence for a while. Just, taking everything in. Their feelings a mess. One hopeful that their family would be complete again, the other in denial to not get hurt again and the last excited that he could meet the mistery that was Touya.
“When do I call him?”
———————————————————————————————————–
Getting out of the bus, Shigaraki started his walk back home. Even if he should, he wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings. He didn’t need to, having lived in this side of town for most of his life. But he should. He wasn’t lying when he told the Todoroki girl about Dabi’s “company”.
Yeah, they changed. Him, Dabi and the rest. But the last time somebody tried to rob them was yesterday. Emphasis on the try, since Dabi found him and then proceeded to beat the crap out of the guy. And then Spinner and Twice joined.
It’s not like he lied to the girl. He just… left out the details.
It wasn’t their fault that life decided to screw them in the most royal and epic way. Besides, they all turned their life around. Magne and Toga run that hair salon, Spinner and Mustard were helping Stain with his gun-range and shop, Kurogiri was able to keep the bar and even give Compress and Twice a job. Even Hawks, that joined later and then couldn’t leave, had his own gig.
Yeah, they were…. broken. But if you left out all their trauma and violent coping mechanism, they were pretty normal. Were they?
Without realising it, Tomura got to their little base. The apartment building, the Detnerat clothing store, Inferno’s tattoo parlour, Killer Queen salon, Stainhaul gun range and shop and Black Mist bar, all connected by a parking lot where Giran practically worked. To an outsider it wouldn't seem so bad. Just a couple of people trying to get by.
They weren’t that bad.
He spent so much time trying to do this nice thing for Dabi that it was starting to mess with him if he didn’t realise he already got home. The last thing he needed was for Dabi to find out. That would…complicate things.
‘Maybe I shouldn’t have reached’
Did he go against Dabi’s back searching for his family who he keep tabs on but never really approached? Maybe. But he had to repay him somehow. He was the last one out of his repaying-and-thanking-for-staying-by-my-side list.
Magne was given a new set of make up. Toga and Mustard received a High school degree. Kurogiri was called ‘dad’ (he had never seen the guy so happy, so it was worth it, even if he smiled and hugged him like a fool for weeks). Spinner was given a new game console. He spent an entire day with Twice doing whatever the guy wanted. He watched Compress’ magic show. And he even admitted to Stain that he found his logic and anarchy ideals intriging.
But Dabi’s had to be special. He knew he had to do something extraordinary for him. He couldn’t just give him something. Not after everything that happened and everything he did for him.
So if Dabi wanted to be a coward and not take a shot with his family that (judging by the reaction he got) wanted him in his life, then fine. He would take the shot for him. He would take the blame for whatever happened. Dabi deserved it.
Not that he would tell him that. Ever.
He went to the back of the shop and climbed up the fire escape to enter his place. The shop was closed and he was too spent to open it and lock it again. Hearing movement in the kitchen, he went there and found the reason for his exhaustion cooking.
“What are we having?” He asked him as he sat in the dinning table.
“Cold Soba” Dabi responded and turned to look at him. “Where’d you go today?”
“Out. I needed to clear my head” Tomura lied.
“Are you okay?” Dabi asked as he came closer and held his neck to check on it.
“Yeah. It wasn’t that bad” He told him, leaning into his touch.
They had a nice and calm dinner in the couch, watching an old anime. Once everything was put away and clean they return to the couch to keep watching. With his head in Dabi’s shoulder and Dabi’s hand around him, Tomura noticed a foul yet familiar smell and started sniffing the other guy clothes. Sighting, he moved out of the embrace and covered himself with a blanket.
“Go take a shower, you reak of smoke” He told him.
Dabi huffed and paused the show. “You aren’t watching it without me” He told him as he stood up and started taking off his clothes in his way to the bathroom.
Tomura took out his phone and checked his channel. His new video was up and his cult was already commenting on it. He refused to say he had fans, so he had a cult. A cult of 5K people that loved his ‘chaotic energy’. But cult either way.
His phone rang with an unknown number.
“What do you want?”
“Hi… It’s me, Todoroki Fuyumi… We would like to meet up with Touya. When is he free?”
“I…We are going to an American Grill next Saturday. You can meet us there.”
“Yes. Of course. Thank you. Thank you so much for this. Could you text us the address and time?”
“Sure. See ya soon”
‘Holy Crap, she actually called’ Tomura thought as he heard the bathroom door open and saw Dabi come out. While only wearing a towel, Dabi laid down next to Tomura again. ‘God, I hope this turns out alright’

(//Britney Spears Voice// Oops I Did it Again)
I was thinking about Sero having siblings which made me think about class 1a and like,, how few of them have canon siblings? & then I was like “well hmm, who has siblings in canon and who do I feel like SHOULD have siblings?” which has NOW spiraled to “whole family dynamic” so. Here’s this (note that I’m not gonna subtract people from families who already canonically exist like however much I’d like to launch End**v*r into the sun this is less “I rewrote things how I’d like them to be” and more “how many of these kids do I think should have siblings and if their parents aren’t developed what do I think they’re like”).
Midoriya: We already know he does not have siblings and tbh even if we didn’t know I’d still think he doesn’t. He absolutely has Only Child Who’s Kinda Lonely And Wanted A Sibling But Never Got One vibes. Also we know he has a single mom and a dad who’s not really in the picture (sidenote I love Inko Midoriya even though she failed Izuku in the past by not believing in him she loves her son so much and is trying her hardest to make up for it and do what’s best for him). I feel like her husband is like,,, not straight up the worst person ever like he’s not abusive but he’s not particularly interested in his family anymore?? Like he pays his child support but doesn’t make any effort to talk to his wife and son? He’d get divorced but he doesn’t want to go through the hassle of that legal process, especially since he’s living on a whole separate continent & would either have to go back to Japan for the legal proceedings or do it from there which would be challenging & he’s “far too busy” to do that
Bakugou: He doesn’t have siblings in canon but he does kinda give off Middle Child In A House With Lots Of Children vibes...that inferiority/superiority complex tho...oh either that or Oldest Child In A House With Lots Of Children vibes...but yeah consider middle child Bkg. Like...maybe 5-6 Bakugou children and he’s either smack dab in the middle or 3rd oldest depending if he has 4 or 5 siblings. Also it’s pretty obvious that Mitsuki’s not a good mom & Masaru is not rlly willing to stand up to her but unfortunately I can’t change that cause I said I wouldn’t mess with existing family members :/ maybe I shouldn’t give him more siblings after all, for their sake...
Todoroki: We know the todofam dynamic already. Tbh idk what kinda vibes he’d give me if I didn’t already know he had siblings, but since I know that he has siblings in canon it makes sense that he’s a youngest child (also sidenote I LOVE the Todorokisibs & I want them to have the time to bond and become like,,, real, close siblings. Also #givereiadivorce2k20). I hope someone yeets Endumpster out of existence one of these days...fingers crossed
Iida: It’s canon that he has a brother and it’s so sweet how much he admires and loves him Iida ily. Again it makes sense that he’s a youngest child; his need to be “worthy of” his brother’s legacy is rlly apparent, & feels like a total youngest sibling trait. Tbh if I didn’t know he had a brother I could also see him as an only child but I’m glad he has Tensei. I feel like his parents are hardworking but make sure to make time for their children as much as they can & make sure they know they’re loved. Iida kinda also considers some of the heroes/sidekicks who work at the Idaten agency family since they’ve been around so much during his childhood & he knows them pretty well. Also since Tensei is friends with Aizawa and Yamada they were definitely Tenya’s babysitters at least a couple times & around the house a lot so he considers them kinda like uncles or something
Uraraka: I know she doesn’t have siblings in canon but it feels like she should. She gives off big sister vibes. Like she’s canonically becoming a hero for her parents, and I think that would be even better if she also had siblings (all younger than her. At least 2 siblings, maybe 3). I want to see Uraraka with siblings @ Horikoshi why did you deprive us of this? Also we know her parents work hard and love her which I love I’m so glad SOMEONE in class 1a canonically has 2 good supportive parents
Tsuyu: We already know she has two siblings and yes she also has Big Sister Vibes. Don’t have much to explain abt this one, she’s just mature and dependable in like the Older Sister Specific Way (not that all older sisters are mature and dependable, just that there’s a kind of mature and dependable that directly comes from being an older sister specifically). I feel like her parents love her and her siblings & taught them to be truthful & stuff but are kinda quiet and reserved with their affection, and they’re often busy with their jobs so Tsuyu had to take on some extra responsibility caring for her siblings
Yaoyorozu: She’s an only child and yeah, it makes sense. Her parents only have one child to focus on, and as such it’s pretty obvious she feels the full pressure of their expectations, giving her pretty obvious Only Child Vibes. Although I guess you could also look at it as youngest child vibes cause I could just as easily see her having a bunch of talented successful older siblings/one Really Talented Older Sibling so she feels the pressure in following in their footsteps (think either Daphne from scooby doo mystery incorporated or Tahani Al-Jamil from the good place except she doesn’t necessarily hate/resent her siblings but is just kinda insecure about her “worth” compared to them. This is where the second guessing she suddenly displays in canon could come in - correct me if I’m wrong but she didn’t rlly show signs of second-guessing herself until the sports festival? So she’s fine in class where nobody rlly knows her but once she’s at the sports festival which is nationally televised she starts to doubt herself because her parents and sister(s) are watching & she’s like “oh no what if my sister(s) would be better than me at this” so that’s why she suddenly loses confidence). I kinda implied before but I feel like her parents are pretty strict & have high expectations for her & while they’re not needlessly cruel, they won’t tolerate less than the best
Jirou: Pretty sure she has no siblings in canon BUT she TOTALLY gives off youngest sibling vibes. I’m thinking she’d have like a cool older brother who likes to embarrass her. Her parents are pretty chill (I think that part’s kinda canon?). She has lots of older cousins who she’s pretty close with and one bad*ss lesbian aunt who’s pretty much her role model (Jirou when she was younger: I wanna be just like my aunt!!! Jirou now: ah. That’s why. I also like girls.)
Kirishima: Again I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have siblings in canon and as for whether I think he gives off sibling vibes??? I’m not entirely sure. I was gonna say I don’t think so cause like. He gives off vibes that he’d be good with siblings but doesn’t actually have them, kinda like Midoriya (but like,,,I also kinda want to give him siblings so I’m not sure). Also you know that fandom headcanon that he has 2 moms? Yeah I love that that’s canon you can’t convince me otherwise. He has 2 moms and they both love him so much & wanna support him however they can (also I kinda put a little thought into them for a fic I started writing and decided that they’re the embodiment of the tattoo parlor/flower shop au. Flower mom keeps some arrangements that are...not necessarily professional in her shop because her wife arranged them for her. Tattoo mom gives flower mom tattoos for free & they have matching tattoos that flower mom designed)
Koda: he gives me Could Have Siblings vibes as in he kinda feels like another middle child but I feel like he’s actually an only child (like he probably is in canon? I think). His parents are quiet like him but they definitely love him and he knows it. He’s really close to his grandparents (who also live with his family) as well. He also, quits predictably, has a lot of animal friends who are kind of like family to him cause they’ve been through a lot together (the Koda family household sometimes looks a little bit like a zoo because 3 people in it have talking-to-animal-related quirks)
Sato: another idk about canon but he has a little sister. I cannot tell you why I think this but he definitely has a little sister. Sato you have been diagnosed with Big Brother Energy. Also he totally has a single dad who owns a bakery which is how Sato knows how to bake so well! They’re not poor but they’re not rich and he hopes to send some of his paycheck to support his family & help his dad expand the bakery. It wasn’t the primary reason he became a hero (that was because a hero once saved his little sister from a burning building & he decided that he wanted to be able to save people like that hero had saved his sister), but he does like the benefit of the paycheck
Tokoyami: tbh my first instinct was no siblings but I think it would be really funny if he had like. 3 really preppy siblings (one older than him two younger) & he was the only goth one in his family. Or like. His dad is also goth but his mom & other siblings r super preppy. He loves them all but is very much introverted and he and his dad are closer than the rest bc they kinda bond over being less energetic. His siblings & mom don’t REALLY understand Tokoyami’s goth-ness but they love and support him anyways. His younger siblings lowkey like Dark Shadow maybe even more than him tho. Dark Shadow was pretty sad when he heard they’d be moving to the dorms because he would miss them
Kaminari: tbh I first thought he had only child vibes (he kinda does) but then I decided that he has siblings but their age gaps are pretty significant. His older sister has just gotten out of university and is working and his younger sister is like...7 maybe. His siblings both love him but the age gaps between them make it hard for them to connect sometimes. Anyways I feel like his parents are pretty neglectful & caught up in their work. They don’t really pay attention to him or his other siblings, so his older sister had to learn things like cooking and cleaning and do a lot of taking care of Kaminari and he had to help take care of his younger sister, especially after his older sister went to uni. His parents just assumed he’d come to work at their electric company but he didn’t want to do that so while he definitely wants to save people a big part of his desire to become a hero is to make real connections and prove to his parents that he’s worthy of love and attention. He took the UA exam without telling them and when they found out they would have told him no except that they figured the exposure of their son going to the top hero school in Japan would give them more business. When he moved to the dorms he missed his sisters but was glad he didn’t have to be the main caretaker of his little sister anymore (his parents hired a nanny, which they hadn’t wanted to do before because of how much money it would cost, but because they had in fact gotten more business due to Denki going to UA they had a little more money now). (The nanny and Denki’s sister became fast friends, a fact of which he was glad because it meant he wasn’t leaving her alone in an empty house. He called and visited his sister as often as possible)
Hagakure: honestly I’m pretty sure she’s an only child in canon and she DOES give off only child vibes I think...unlike Midoriya tho I don’t think she’d be particularly bothered by it? I mean I feel like she’s kinda lonely but that’s less about lack of siblings & more bc of lack of people seeing her. But her parents rlly care about her & support her however they can, & they also understand her bc they’re invisible too so they know how it feels to have to work hard to be noticed when you can’t exactly be seen
Aoyama: either both his siblings are way older than him or he’s an only child. He does not give me “is super close with his siblings” vibes. He’s definitely seen as the baby in the family and not in a “he gets away with everything & is the parents’ favorite” way in the “they think he’s kinda a failure” way. His siblings look down on him, his mom pities him because he was the only one to inherit her quirk, which hurts to use, & his dad kinda doesn’t rlly care about him one way or the other. The family gives me pretty rich vibes. Like not as rich as the Yaoyorozus/Iidas/Todorokis but still pretty rich. He went to UA mostly because he wants to get stronger both so that his mom can stop pitying/worrying about him and so that the rest of his family won’t look down on him anymore
Ojirou: l also think he has a few siblings (like...no more than 2 tho). I think younger siblings, he’s also a character with big brother energy (tho I could also see middle child Ojirou). His mom runs a dojo which is part of the reason why he’s so good at martial arts. His dad is an artist. They’re pretty close and love and respect each other. His parents were surprised but supportive when he announced he wanted to go to UA
Ashido: an only child. Her parents love her a lot & make sure she feels supported. She sometimes wishes she had siblings but not super often because she has tons of good friends (this along with Kirishima being an only child who wants siblings sometimes only makes their brotp more epic)!! Also she still keeps in close touch with her civilian friends from middle school but kinda feel disconnected from them sometimes because they’re living such different lives than her. Like they’ll talk about the latest movie and ask her if she’s seen it and she just says no and kinda laugh it off because she can’t just say “no, I wanted to but villains tried to kill my class the day we were planning to go”. She also has a hard time telling her parents that because she knows they’d be super worried about her and she really wants to be a hero!
Sero: has siblings (is somewhere in the middle) and also a huge extended family!!! Before the dorms he lived with his mom and siblings but his extended family lived really close to them and visited all the time so he’s really close to both sets of grandparents and his many aunts and uncles and little cousins (though he’s a middle child in his immediate family he’s one of the oldest cousins). Though he misses his family he sees them as often as he can, and is kinda glad for how chaotic and loud the dorms can be sometimes because it reminds him of his home
Shoji: has a little brother, a mom, and a step-dad. It took a while for him to get used to his step-dad, but it becomes clear that he really loves his family so now Shoji loves him too and is fairly close to him. Shoji’s little brother is adopted because there were complications with his mom’s pregnancy when she was having Mezo and while he turned out fine, they found out that it would be risky for his mom to attempt to get pregnant again. His little brother also has a mutation quirk (though it’s not Dupli Arms it’s Bear) and Shoji loves him more than anything else in the world. He wants to become a hero to help combat the stigma around certain mutation quirks (Gang Orca once canonically kinda addressed that that exists when he talked about how children are always afraid of him bc of how he looks) so that the world will be better for people like him and his brother. His mom and stepdad wholeheartedly support him
M*neta: Only doing this bc my brain will not shut up & is making me analyze all of 1a even the ones I don’t consider 1a. I hope he doesn’t have siblings so less people have to be exposed to his...m*neta-ness but tbh I could see him having siblings. His parents are busy and either don’t notice or don’t care what a terrible person their son is
Better purple boy who deserves a place in 1a way more than the grape Shinsou: has no siblings but gives off IMMENSE big brother vibes. Definitely grew up in the foster system (his biological mother, who was a single mother and also had a mind control quirk, became a villain because she couldn’t get hired anywhere, had no way to support her son, and was tired of being villainized by society so she was like “ok you want a villain? Bet.” When Shinsou was like 7, his mom was killed while trying to flee a crime scene. Since Shinsou had no other parent, he was then put into the foster system. Nobody adopted him because everyone thought he was going to become a villain like his mom had, and even the people who didn’t know his mom thought his quirk was “villainous”). Aizawa and Yamada are now eventually planning to adopt him. He kinda has similar vibes to Midoriya in regards to the “Only Child Who’s Kinda Lonely And Wanted A Sibling” but unlike Midoriya he would NEVER admit he wanted a sibling. “I like being alone” he insists. He is a lying liar. However as soon as he meets Eri they instantly connect & he kinda becomes like a big brother to her even tho he will deny it until Eri herself calls him her brother. When this happens he will cry even tho he will say he didn’t

AU BNHA
So what if the world of BNHA was just a delusion of Bakugou's as a result of Midoriya committing suicide?
For years, Bakugou bullied Midoriya for being different. His constant mumbling. Being babied by his mom. Not having a dad in his life. Etc.
So when Bakugou tells Midoriya to take a swan dive off the roof and pray he's born normal in his next life, Midoriya listens. And this breaks Bakugou. He can't handle the fact that he's the reason his childhood friend is dead. He can't accept that Midoriya is gone. So his mind creates a world where Deku is alive, and is given great power to become a hero. They had both wanted to be police officers when they grew up, hero is the next best thing.
Hearing his delusions of "quirks" and "the shitty Deku thinks he can be a hero", his parents put him in UA's mental institution. Doctors try to bring him back to reality, but it doesn't work. The head nurse for disturbed children in his wing? Aizawa Shouta. A stern yet caring man.
There Bakugou meets Iida. A severely autistic boy who moves much like a robot and has moments where he just starts to run. (Strict parents who don't want to understand him)
Uraraka, a homeless girl who thinks she can float. She has to be kept from jumping off of things.
Kirishima, he can't really feel pain and will randomly run into walls.
Kaminari, he likes to stick things in light sockets to electrocute himself.
Mina, a girl who damaged her brain by using the drug acid. She likes to pour things on herself to make herself slippery.
Tokoyami, Schizophrenic, hears voices from shadows. His parents found a severed crow's head in his room that he was keeping as a pet. Says the darkness wants to control him and that he's possessed by a demon.
Todoroki, a pyromaniac. He's been obsessed with burning sensations ever since his mother poured boiling water on his face to deal with the stress of her abusive husband. Todoroki set his older brother on fire and blamed it on his dad.
Hagakure, was ignored by her parents and siblings to the point of it being abuse. She grew to believe she was invisible and started acting out because of it. When caught, she assumed her clothes were the reason she was caught and tried to remove them to get away.
Yaoyorozu, the stress of being a perfect child drove her insane, she binge eats until she throws up.
Sato, was denied sweets most of his life. To retaliate, he would eat sweets in secret. The sugar rush makes him feel strong. He beat his parents during a sugar rush because they tried to stop him. He believes he needs the sugar to be strong.
Mineta, became uncontrollably perverted after being molested by an aunt.
Tsuyu, believes she is a frog. It's her minds way of coping after witnessing her whole family be murdered.
Sero, has body Dysmorphia. He feels his arms are unnatural, especially his elbows. Likes to keep them wrapped in duct tape.
Jirou, sensitive to sound, cut her earlobes off in a fit when her father wouldn't turn down his music.
Aoyama, in an attempt to gain his parents love after admitting to being a trans girl, she bedazzled herself to make herself beautiful so they would love her. Believes that to be beautiful to others she needs to sparkle.
Kouda, believes he can communicate with animals. Is selectively mute with humans.
Shoji, believes he is the reincarnation of an Indian goddess with multiple arms.
Ojiro, likes to wear strap on tails, believes he needs to wear them. Traumatized after seeing his parents foreplay using a anal plug with a tail.
Shinso, refuses to speak after being muzzled in his foster home as a child for being a manipulative liar. Believes if he sparkles he can make people do what he wants.
Yagi, maintenance man. Retired from the US army after being hit with schrapnel from a bomb. Likes to spend time with the kids because most don't get visitors.
Yamada, tutor to the kids, specializes in English. Is a little hard of hearing in his left hear after being taken to a loud concert as a child.
Nedzu, owner and main doctor at UA.
Kayama, visits on weekends do do arts and crafts with the kids. Works as an Anesthesiologist at a neighboring hospital.

She always hated coming here.
She’d seen the campus a few times when she and Touya were approaching their first years, she’d come along to cheer him on during his testing only to test for the General Studies course herself.
They both got in but she declined due to...well...
Schools were meant to have color, to have fun, to encourage children to get along and be the best they could be and to be the best they could be while bringing each other up at the same time. U.A. always gave her a clinical vibe and while Shouto told her that the other students often had team-ups, study groups, and whatnot, there was still a level of competition that seemed a bit too Battle Royale for her taste.
Then again, maybe the fact that she watched her brother completely over-freeze the stadium in his first Sports Festival had something to do with it.
Fuyumi sucked in a breath and approached the gate that only students and staff could pass through and looked up towards the camera at the probable security guard. “Excuse me? I’m Fuyumi Todoroki. I have a meeting with Aizawa-sensei?”
A panel opened up and she jumped at the abruptness of it’s movements and then the awkwardly loud voice coming over the speaker. “Put your hand to the screen.” She did as such, watching as it scanned her finger prints, “Please remove your glasses and look into the camera above the screen.” She obeyed, leaning forward and feeling goofy as she tried not to blink during the quick retinal scan. “Thank you, Ms. Todoroki, please take your visitor badge and map to Aizawa-sensei’s office.”
She fumbled a bit, taking the badge and clipping it to her blouse collar since she had nowhere else to visibly put it and then accepted the map with a quick thank you and made her way to the large, H shaped building.
It looked too corporate to be full of children .
It didn’t help that Fuyumi was just coming from work where she spent a day encouraging kids to color and have fun. She was in the business of helping create happy, well rounded children who didn’t have to think twice about the Hero Society if they didn’t want to. Not when they can talk about puppies and fairy tales.
But that also meant she felt terribly underdressed in her jeans and blouse. It was a surprisingly warm fall day (the past few days had been extremely cold so this warm front was a welcome surprise) so she didn’t bring a cardigan but her work bag hung off her shoulder and she gripped it tightly as she entered the main campus building and turned right as the map advised.
After some time of walking, she found herself a bit lost and she felt relief when she saw two boys about Shouto’s age walking down the hallway, “Excuse me!” She called out to them while approaching them, “I’m sorry but I can’t seem to find this room…” She pointed to the map, “I have a meeting with Aizawa-sensei of class 1-A.”
Both boys were tall and certainly looked like they belonged at U.A. in the sense that they seemed fit and imposing. The boy with unruly purple hair bent down slightly to look at the map and shook his head a bit, “They gave you bad directions,” He told Fuyumi, “Aizawa-sensei’s not even in that room half the time.”
“It’s not their fault, Shinsou, these maps are based off of time blocks and Aizawa-sensei simply doesn’t follow his own schedule!” The other boy, broad with a neat haircut and glasses scolded.
“Are you actually speaking negatively about your teacher, class president?” The boy, Shinsou, asked.
The other boy sputtered and straightened up immediately, “You’re not in our class yet, Shinsou, so I’ll just warn you now that if you think-” Fuyumi cleared her throat, “I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be late for my meeting.”
Shinsou gave her a smile, looking more pleased at the red color of his soon-to-be classmate’s face than anything, “We can show you,” He assured in a soft, kind tone that Fuyumi would associate with a Hero student - good thing this boy either was one or was going to be one.
They started leading her back towards the way she came and Shinsou opted to break the silence, “So why are you meeting with Aizawa-sensei?” “Shinsou, don’t be nosey!”
“I’m Shouto Todoroki’s sister,” Fuyumi introduced herself, “I wanted to talk to him about something Shouto said to me the other day.”
The other boy looked surprised and then a little flustered, “My apologies, I didn’t know Todoroki had a sister!” He all but exclaimed before stopping to properly and politely greet her, “I’m Tenya Iida. Todoroki and I are friends and classmates!”
Fuyumi smiled, “It’s nice to meet you, Iida.” She replied kindly, biting back the feeling of disappointment that Shouto didn’t speak about home to the point that no one knew he had an older sister. Did he talk about Natsuo? Or did he just not mention her? “He seems so much happier since making friends at U.A. so thank you!”
Iida seemed more flustered at that, his face a bit red and a small, pleased smile on his face, “O-Of course! I appreciate his friendship!” He announced robotically, “This way please!”
Shinsou rolled his eyes behind Iida’s back, offering Fuyumi an amused little smile as the Class President led the way outside and towards some buildings just past the main campus.and towards a series of brick buildings. They walked towards one of the buildings and Iida opened the door before looking at Shinsou.
“...I suppose you can come in.”
“Gee, thanks.”
They made their way in, Shinsou taking off in a different direction after a quiet ‘nice to meet you’ to Fuyumi and she heard a chorus of delighted ‘Shinsou!’ coming from what she assumed was the common area. Iida led her to a room just off the entrance and knocked on the door politely.
“Aizawa-sensei! You have a visitor! She says you have an appointment!”
There was a noise like something had fallen and then fumbling behind the door before it was yanked open to reveal the sight of Shouto’s extremely disheveled teacher. His gaze flickered from Iida, who looked thoroughly unimpressed, then to Fuyumi and then back before he let out a long, drawn out sigh.
“Thank you, Iida.” He dismissed, “Ms. Todoroki, please, come in…...don’t mind the mess.”
Fuyumi looked at Iida, giving a slight bow, “Thank you for your help.” She offered him a kind smile.
The pink seemed to return to his face as he bowed back awkwardly and (loudly) assured her that it was his pleasure before robotically turning around and rushing away as quickly as he could without actually running. Fuyumi gave a confused little hum, wondering if Shouto’s friends were all this...odd...and turned her attention back to Aizawa, who was attempting to look like he was tidying his office by pushing papers back and forth.
There was a chair in the corner, the office designed more for him to work than for him to meet with anyone and Fuyumi awkwardly decided to close the door behind her and sit on the edge of her chair, her bag neatly by her feet as she watched Aizawa seem to gather his thoughts as he shuffled through all of his papers and tried to make himself less disheveled.
“Should I come back later?” Fuyumi asked tentatively.
He looked up at her suddenly and she flinched at his sharp expression but he immediately softened upon seeing her reaction, “No, no, I’m sorry about keeping you waiting, Ms. Todoroki.” He sighed heavily and found what he was looking for, a post-it note with near intelligible writing. “I’m surprised you asked to speak to me and not your father-”
“He doesn’t know I’m here,” Fuyumi interjected, “I...He feels Shouto’s focus should be more on his schoolwork and his goal of becoming a Hero.” “Whose goal?”
“Pardon?” Fuyumi asked, her face growing a bit warm as Aizawa studied her intently before leaning back in his chair.
“You wrote to me because you were concerned about your brother’s being able to wrap up your injured hand?” Aizawa asked and Fuyumi flinched at his words, tugging her sleeves a bit over her bandaged hands as she’d split them once again due to Quirk overuse (she didn’t expect such a brawl last night) and this time had to look up a YouTube tutorial to effectively wrap them. “You realize dressing minor wounds is something every hero should know, Ms. Todoroki, so I’m curious to know why you’re actually here.”
“O-Oh, well, I…”
She should have known he would have picked up on her weak excuse immediately.
“As I said, my father is more concerned with Shouto’s educational and professional successes,” She started slowly, “And...I’ve been watching Shouto since he started at U.A. and while I am concerned about the fact that your students are regularly bandaging each other up, I’m thankful for how he’s doing socially. I was worried about him when he first started but he’s really opened up.”
Aizawa hummed and ran a hand through his messy hair, “If it’s any consolation, it’s usually just one particular student that needs the bandaging up.”
“It’s not.”
“Understandable.”
Fuyumi shifted, “I know my father wants Shouto at U.A. and I know Shouto wants to be at U.A. but...can you let me know what your students go through so I can just have...peace of mind?” She plead. “I’m just…”
“Worried now that your father is Number One Hero and with past attacks on U.A. that Shouto may not be in the safest place?” Aizawa guessed.
Fuyumi flinched and nodded slowly, “The world is getting scarier and I can’t really voice my concerns to anyone but...I just want to make sure my youngest brother is safe.”
Aizawa hummed, crossing one leg over the other as he studied her silently and she squirmed in her seat, suddenly realizing that this was probably a terrible idea. He was a Pro Hero who could probably and would probably see right through her. She’d already seen him glance at her bandaged hands, his questions were probing but not enough to stir up any real suspicion. She worried for the students’ mental health but she worried that her appearance would completely derail the conversation and that Aizawa would figure her out.
Maybe he already knew she was playing vigilante and getting into fights. Maybe he heard about the bar fight and put one and two together. Afterall - her brother had half an Ice Quirk, it was fully possible he had a sibling with an Ice Quirk, right? She’d been sloppy. She’d been careless. She was sitting here in front of a Pro Hero, covered in bandages and trying to keep cool.
He was on to her and she was playing right into it.
“I’ve gotten quite a few comments from concerned parents about exactly this subject,” Aizawa replied, pulling Fuyumi from her panic, “Even though they agreed to the dorm system, the news reports start sinking in as does the battle your father went through with the High-End Noumu and they need to be sure they’re making the right decision for their children to be here.” She felt the tension leave her shoulders at his words and she looked down at her hands, glad she was apparently wrong about him seeing right through her and readjusting her bandages a bit.
Aizawa shuffled through his paperwork and slid out a form, offering it to Fuyumi, “This is their typical schedule. I hope you understand that I’ve had to mark out important information for the sake of security…”
“I understand,” Fuyumi replied softly, accepting the paper and reading over the page. The kids had a lot of practical lessons but it was good to say that the school was still teaching them relevant courses such as Math and Literature. “What about psychological wellness?” Fuyumi asked suddenly, “And offering the children options?”
“Options?” Aizawa asked, his demeanor a little more alert now.
“They’re children,” Fuyumi replied, “They can change their minds. Or, heaven forbid, they experience an injury in the field that could prevent them from continuing their Heroing careers. If you don’t give them options such as a secondary career focus, they’re going to start at square one when everyone else their age is far ahead of them.” Aizawa raised an eyebrow at her and she immediately felt herself clam up, quickly putting the paper back on his desk and staring down at her hands, flexing her fingers carefully, “I-I-I’m sorry. I didn’t...I shouldn’t be...I’m not one to tell you how to tell your job.”
Who did she think she was? Just acting like she could tell a Pro Hero how to teach children how to be Pro Heroes. It was shameful.
“Ms. Todoroki, do you have a boyfriend?”
“E-E-Excuse me?”
Aizawa sighed heavily and rubbed at the back of his neck, “I’m always bad that this,” He muttered under his breath, “Ms. Todoroki, you’re... while I am Shouto’s teacher, if you need someone to talk to about,” His eyes glanced to her hands again, “Anything…”
Oh, he thought she had a...well, he wasn’t entirely far off but…
“I really appreciate your offer,” She assured, “But these are just from taking self-defense classes.”
He didn’t seem to believe her and she shifted awkwardly in her seat again, “I...thank you for your reassurances,” She announced, standing up and he followed suit. “Seeing that Shouto’s got such a strong support system at school is really helpful.”
“I didn’t exactly answer your question…” Aizawa drawled, moving to open the door for her - or keep it closed and keep her pinned in.
“It wasn’t my place to ask it,” Fuyumi replied quickly.
Aizawa continued to study her and she looked anywhere but his face, fidgeting with the bag in her hands. After a long moment, the Pro Hero sighed and pulled the door open, pushing it with his arm because the office was so cramped and allowing Fuyumi to duck under his arm and pass through the doorway.
She turned and gave a short, deep bow, “Thank you for listening to my concerns,” She told him, eager to get out of there now that she felt on edge.
He was on to her. He was on to her. Hewasontoher.
She wondered if she looked suspicious outside of the obvious injuries. Was she breathing too heavily? She certainly felt like it. Why was this building so hot? Weren’t the students uncomfortable? Wasn’t Aizawa? He was wearing what essentially seemed like a jogging suit, afterall. So why was she feeling so warm and no one else felt bothered?
“Thank you for expressing them,” Aizawa replied before his gaze shifted from her to down the hall, a scowl momentarily crossing his face.
Fuyumi followed his scowl, just barely seeing a handful of teenage faces dipping behind the corner. She huffed out a tiny laugh before looking at Aizawa again, feeling a little better now that the tension was broken by the teenagers. He looked at her, his annoyance with his students evident but she didn’t see any harm behind his expression - it was more of a tolerance than anything.
It was reassuring.
Shouto and his friends would be fine.
She bowed politely again, “Still, thank you.”
Aizawa gave a short nod, “Of course. And like I said earlier…”
He didn’t continue with his response, probably because Fuyumi’s face was feeling hot and she certainly knew she’d either grown red in the face or had gone completely pale along with being tight lipped and looking anywhere but at him. Her whole body was tense at the idea that Shouto’s teacher was under the assumption that she was being...well...she wasn’t and she certainly didn’t want to talk about it.
“I appreciate it,” She replied, realizing afterwards that her tone was more clipped than she intended.
“Fuyumi?” Fuyumi and Aizawa both turned to see Shouto standing at the end of the hallway, looking concerned for the most part as he glanced between the two of them. “Is everything okay?”
High near the ceiling, just by the corner was an ear.
“Oh, Shouto,” Fuyumi fumbled, trying to find the right thing to say so she wouldn’t mortify and embarrass her little brother in front of his friends and classmates. “We’re just…”
“I’m having progress checks with your parents and guardians,” Aizawa drawled, “When we established the dorm systems, we thought it would be a good idea to offer progress reports in the beginning so that we and your parents can be certain this is the right move for your progress and well being.”
Shouto’s eyes flickered from Aizawa to Fuyumi and she offered a smile, more at ease now that Aizawa had established that it was okay to lie to her little brother, “I guess I must be the first one to get a progress check,” Added lightly with a little shrug.
Shouto didn’t seem impressed, “What about Father?”
She waved him off, “You know that he’s busy,” She replied, “Besides, I figured you’d prefer it if I came instead of him. I’ll tell him about the visit tonight.”
Shouto still continued to frown at her.
“Unless you want your sister to meet your friends, I think it’s for the best to let her go home,” Aizawa chimed in.
Shouto looked at Fuyumi, clearly internally debating if he wanted to introduce her to his class in such an impromptu manner and Fuyumi decided to spare him. “Maybe next time, I need to get home and get started on dinner.” She didn’t look at him out of fear that he may be relieved. That maybe the thought of her meeting his friends was something he’d never want or perhaps he feared she would say something to embarrass him. She bowed yet again to Aizawa, pushing that thought down, “Thank you again for your assurances.”
Aizawa nodded and gestured for Fuyumi to follow him. She glanced quickly back at Shouto, lifting a hand in farewell before leaving her youngest brother in the hall as she followed his teacher to the front door of the dorm building. She thought that Aizawa would simply hold the door open for her and shoo her out, so she was surprised when he joined her outside and closed the door behind him, walking in step with her as they descended the stairs to the front door.
God, what if he wanted to approach the source of her injuries again?
“My apologies for my students,” He commented, “To be truthful, your brother doesn’t speak about his home life so you’re a bit of a surprise for the class.”
“I hope it doesn’t cause trouble for Shouto,” Fuyumi sighed softly.
“He’ll be alright,” Aizawa assured.
Fuyumi gripped her bag tightly and kept her gaze on the sidewalk as they walked towards the entrance of the school grounds. She figured Aizawa was walking her partly because he wanted to apologize for his students’ curiosity and partly because letting someone loose on campus was a security risk. They could create a timeline of when Fuyumi arrived through the security check, but they had to make sure she actually left.
They walked in silence, stopping at the gate and Fuyumi was starting to feel silly at this point with how many times she was thanking Aizawa, but it would be rude not to. He didn’t seem to mind as his hands were tucked into his pockets and he gave her a look that was more exhausted than anything.
“Thank you again,” She said softly, “I hope our lie doesn’t cause more work for you.”
Aizawa shrugged, “It’s probably for the best if I allow parents this opportunity,” He replied. “They may provide feedback that is valuable. Thank you for your suggestion in regards to the mental health of the students as well as providing alternative opportunities.”
Fuyumi shifted her hold on her bag, feeling sheepish that he’d actually taken her suggestion into account, “Well, I…” She looked at him quickly and looked away again, “I teach young children and I always want to make sure that they’re set up to grow into the best they can be. I had a feeling you would understand.”
Aizawa seemed honestly surprised by that, his brows raising as his head tilted just enough to indicate his interested, “You’re a teacher as well?” He asked.
“Just elementary,” Fuyumi replied with a soft laugh. “It’s a much different atmosphere than high school.”
“Debatable.”
Fuyumi couldn’t control the tiny laugh that escaped her as Aizawa kept his poker face. They bade each other farewell and Fuyumi walked through the gate, stopping to return her visitor’s badge to the security console before making her way home with the mental plan to make dinner for herself and her father, take care of preparing for class the next day, and see if she could check out any of the leads from the night before.
She knew she couldn’t scope out the exact area that the gang had told her purely because she’d overheard her father talking on the phone about the bar brawl and if they gave her that information so easily then they definitely spilled the beans for Endeavor. The area was going to be watched by heroes for a fair amount of time and it was just not a good idea to be caught anywhere near the area.
However, if the area was flooded with Heroes, then anyone in a more unsavory lifestyle was going to evacuate the premises. If she investigated just outside the radius of Hero patrol, there was a chance she could get another lead at the very least.
She just had to get to Touya and everything would turn out fine.

Izuku, Shoto and Tenya for the (Sfw) A please? (Can it be a prince au please?)
this is so cute uwu, kinda made it like headcanons? I just had fun lol, they’re also gender-neutral pronouns
A/AU (Prince AU)
Midoriya Izuku  - Had a story like Sofia the First: he wasn’t born of royal blood, but that his mother was a village seamstress who happened to fall in love with the King, King Toshinori. At first, many people were displeased or concerned about this and it had a toil on him because of his shyness, but eventually he won the kingdom’s heart with his sweet nature and determination to become a good leader. He never acts snobby or tries to use his position in negative ways, because he genuinely wants to help people. So it isn’t surprising that becomes friends with both other royals and village folk, because he could care less about royal position, given he wasn’t born of royal blood either.
It wasn’t shocking either to many when he took interest in you, the child of a innkeeper, not a single drop of royal blood in your body. Your relationship formed like his mother’s and step-father’s, and while there was some outrage at this relationship, there was more support for it. After all, who better knew what the people needed than the people themselves?
Todoroki Shouto - Was born and prince and absolutely hates it bc of the terrible amounts of pressure and abuse his father had put on him during his childhood. For the majority of his life, the kingdom had mixed feelings about him. They respected him and his power, but many believed him to be too stoic and cold. The only friend he had was you – his personal servant, and you were the only person he could confide in. Eventually he finally got to leave the kingdom and he took you with him, and as you two explored the world and made some friends, he came back with an warmer heart and an odd sense of humor – showing his true self.
During those travels, you really helped with his transformation, and that was when you fell in love. While his father disapproved of you, the people loved you! They knew that the two of you would bring happier times to the kingdom than Enji would never be able to do. He didn’t give a damn if you used to be a servant, he loved you, and the two of you were gonna be together.
Tenya Iida - Another born a prince, and he took his standing very seriously despite not being the first in line for the throne. He has a very good relationship with his family, especially his brother, and never held any jealousy against him for having the crown. He had promised to dutifully work for the kingdom and his brother the best he can, which was something the people respected, even if they sometimes wished he was more laid-back like his older brother. He had other friends though, including you, one of the knights-in-training.
Your feelings for one another grew the more often you trained and hung out together, but they didn’t surface till his brother was attacked by an infamous assassin and he was suddenly titled the crowned prince. The stress and desire for vengeance overcame him, and you were one of the people who had to bring him back, and that’s when he knew he loved you despite your position. The people and his family saw the effect you had on the prince, and appreciated you greatly.
hope you enjoyed it! requests besides matchups are open!

Why Does Fire Burn?
Why Does Fire Burn? by Reaganrose1513
"Enough is enough," Touya growled quietly.
Shoto had three older siblings he could count on. To make him feel safe. To make him feel loved. No, they didn't have much, but they had each other. And that was plenty. And with his siblings by his side sometimes he could forget that place ever existed. Sometimes. Now he's going to UA to prove what a hero really is.

Omegaverse info for ALL my boys!
Izumi Sena
Omega - pretends to be an alpha
His smell is fresh and transparent, like a stream of water touring through a forest, passing over the smooth rocks and awakening the nature around it, tints of mint and violets noticeable by those with a kin smell. As he feels more trapped and dirtied, with his emotions in decay, his smell would turn a bit more earthy, like a path covered in mud under the rain.
Parents are a classic alpha-omega relation, a bit too traditional. His mother wants him to follow the path of a ‘good omega’ and get married.
He was thought to be an alpha when he was a kid, and was raised as such.
Hates the whole system, and looks down on the thought of ‘fated pairs’ refusing to ever have children and instead focusing on his work.
He’d make a nest in his own closet, since he likes more small spaces. Will have plenty of pillows and blankets, but specially appreciates pieces of clothing with nice smells -when he gets a mate he loves to use the pieces of clothes from said person.
Ritsu Sakuma
Alpha and proud
His smell is like a maze of roses bathed in freezing dew, capturing in its petals the very romance of the night. The smell mixes up with blood whenever he consumes it, giving it a very mysterious and even intimidating scent.
Family is mostly conformed of alphas. His older brother is a perfect image of what an ‘alpha’ should be, and Ritsu, being physically weaker, was always considered inferior by his family.
He is a very forceful alpha, playing around with omegas, sometimes going as far as to actually scare them. Still, he won’t do anything to actually harm them. He is attracted to those alphas stronger than him and will often try to convince them to fuck him instead.
He doesn’t like the idea of someone loving him just because ‘its fate’, and so he struggles to be with someone that won’t be tied with him for that.
Mika Kagehira
Alpha - passes as beta || in certain au he can be an omega
His scent is quite sweet for an alpha, an initial strong feel of rosewood later revealing touches of strawberry and honey, and the gentle feel of the sunlight. Like a picnic outside.
His parents are both betas who find his birth to be both confusing and troublesome. He doesn’t remember much of them, but they never knew what to do about him.
He doesn’t feel like a ‘proper alpha’ since he is so far away from the idea of what alphas should be.
He finds the idea of a fated pair to be romantic, but doesn’t believes he deserve to have one. he also often suppresses both his own scent and his instincts to take over others in fear.
IF OMEGA:His nest would be in a very small space, probably a blanket forth on a corner, hidden under a couch, a box, or under his own bed if there’s enough space there to curl semi-comfortably. He likes to feel surrounded in all directions and his favorite thing to include is plushies and soft pillows, but he appreciates anything from his mate
Ibara Saegusa
Beta -sometimes passes as omega || other aus may include him as an actual omega
Does not have a characteristic smell since he isn’t an alpha/omega.
Lived through the orphanage and the military life. Since he had a pretty face he had to suffer the abuse of those on top of him, and he learnt to pretend to fake being an omega to seduce others and obtain what he wants in this way.
The concept of fated pairs do not affect him so he hardly cares about it. If asked he says its probably true, but its hard to tell if he is being sincere.
Hound
Omega -passes as alpha
Has a very intense -and often off putting- scent. He smells wild, like a hunter more than a prey. Like a cave deep in the middle of nowhere, and silver hitting against the ground. It’s extremely particular and most can easily confuse it with the smell of an alpha if they don’t pay much attention.
Doesn’t knows his parents and has lived in the army his whole life. He was trained to protect himself, but was also never informed of his own nature as an omega. he has never experienced a full heat since he has always used extremely potent suppressants, but was told he weakens around the same time every month because of problems with an experiment he was part of. This was a decision made by the man that raised and trained him, as he thought it’d be easier to protect Shion if he saw this as a weakness to be hidden.
He doesn’t care about fated pairs but might try to make advances on omegas and rivalize with alphas erroneously assuming he is an alpha himself
His nest would occupy a LOT of space. He probably does it in the floor rather than on a bed, and might occupy the whole room. He puts lots and lots of blankets and pillows, making it extra warm and comfy all around so he can easily roll from one side to the other.
Urie
Alpha.
Has an incredibly seducing smell that can easily trigger most omegas around him. It’s sweet and inviting, like the smell of fresh honey and recently cut flowers, never too cloying and always making you want more.
A traditional alpha-omega family. His father is the type of alpha to have multiple omega ‘wives’ under his wing and plenty of children, all oemgas tied to him as ‘mates for life’. Urie does not want to become an alpha like his father, and has decided to never mark anyone as his ‘mate’.
He will always try to help and protect omegas around him. He’ll use his own alpha scent -as strong as it is- to cover omegas that request it of him, and act as their ‘owner’ if need arises. He will intervene if he sees alphas taking advantage of omegas, pretending to be their mate even if he doesn’t know them, and carries plenty of suppressants with him. if he smells a heat in an unusual place he’ll try to find the person in question and take them to a safe place before any other alpha can arrive.
Though he doesn’t do it as often, he is also willing to help ease the suffering of an omega in heat by showing them sweet pleasure without ever getting them pregnant or marking them.
He likes the concept of the fated pairs but he’d have troubles trusting his ‘fated pair’ as he wouldn’t know if they are being truly in love with him or they are just being tangled by fate.
Kyousuke Yaguchi
Beta -omega passing
has no distinctive smell, but will use a fake sweet scent to further enforce the idea that he is an omega
From a beta household, his life in this regard has been pretty much average and he never had to worry much about anything. However, he has always been jealous of the popularity his alpha cousin had between other students. Hence he attempted to act as an alpha. He was found out by his cousin and the whole charade fell down to pieces, so this time he is pretending to be an omega.
Fated pairs have nothing to do with him, but he heavy resents not being able to be part of that.
Rintarou Iida
Alpha -beta passing
His natural smell is like that of grass on a summer night, with the light of the very stars getting tangled in it; a secret path to the milky way. After his parent’s death he started covering up his smell with plenty of others, which now makes it a confusing mix of alpha and omega smells.
His parents and older sister were all betas, but appreciated, loved and supported him. He felt accepted and happy, but with their death he started to question if it was his fault, and hated being an alpha.
Does not believe in fate and can get violent if pushed about it.
Itaru Chigasaki
Beta -alpha passing.
No distinctive smell.
From an alpha-omega family and raised in an environment surrounded by alphas, he was expected to one as well. An elite. He failed to satisfy that expectation as they realized he was an omega, yet continued to pretend being an alpha for the sake of appearances.
Thinks fate is a fun thing to think about, but also thinks it has nothing to do with him.

My Hero Academia AU - Fighting Dogs cont’d
An In-depth look into the story based on this idea previously posted:
Male children at the age of four are being kidnapped by a criminal organization for illegal quirk fighting.
An organization for underground quirk fighting kidnap male children at the age when their quirks first develop. The children are brutally trained to use their quirks for entertainment fighting. The ring is of course illegal due to kidnapping, enslavement, child abuse, drug use and the illegal use of quirks.
A group of children are assigned a Trainer. The Trainer would have a quirk that overpowers another child’s quirk. For elemental quirks, they have a trainer that can withstand their quirks or a quirk that is opposite of the element. (Ex., a water/ice quirk-user would be the trainer over a fire/lightning user and vice versa.)
The children are not considered children or even human. They are kept in cages.
If they refuse to fight or don’t follow orders they are severally punished physically, denied food or force into solitary confinement.
Not only are they trained to use their quirks, they are trained to strengthen their bodies through cardio and strength-training. They are also taught various forms of martial arts.
After four to six years of training they are put in the ring. They either fight each other or against quirk-users wanting to test their skills (civilians and villains).
To cope with captivity and to survive, the children revert to their base instincts and act like animals. They are not allowed to talk to each other which has them use other forms of communication of sounds, gestures, eye movements and other body language. Soon, they are all referred to as dogs and even have their own collars.
“Dogs” that don’t have a flashy quirk or are weak are used as bait or punching bags for stronger “dogs”. Through being constantly pitted against others, some die due to injury or “dogs” that lose themselves and go out of control. Very few have managed to strengthen their quirks.
Positions in the Ring:
- the Master: organizes and funds the ring. Oversees the care of his “dogs” and employees.
- the Trainers: the “dogs” are trained by the Trainers.
- the Handlers: assist the Trainers in moving the “dogs”, feeding, washing, etc.
- the Vet: an illegal doctor with a healing quirk. The Vet also creates supplements to make the “dogs” aggressive, increase stamina or whatever needs to make the fights “interesting”.
- The Armorer: Provides gear for the “dogs” and tools for the Trainers and Handlers
The “dogs” are kept in a warehouse outside of the city. It is where they live and are trained. Fight rings are held in different locations within the city. Money is made by paying spectators to watch the fights, participate in the fights, prize money if a “dog” is beaten by an outsider and bets placed.
The main children apart of the ring:
-          Bakugou Katsuki: Fight Names - Hell Grip
-          Kirishima Eijiro: FN - Stoneskin
-          Shoji Mezo: FN - Octa-kill
-          Tokoyami Fumikage: FN - Shadow Crow
-          Iida Tenya: FN - Samurai
-          Shishida Jurota
-          Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
-          Honenuki Juzo
-          Kamakiri Togaru
Katsuki is the most troublesome “dog”. At the beginning, he made several escape attempts and had attacked his Trainers and Handlers. Because of that, Katsuki is the most punished “dog” since being brought into the underground. He does enjoy fighting, especially against the un-collared fighters. Katsuki fights his fellow “dogs” seriously to make them stronger so they can survive together, but will not kill them or crippled those he considers an ally. There had been “dogs” that went crazy and had killed or harmed each other. Katsuki had fought these dogs and had punished them by either wounding them or as a last resort, kill them. Deaths in the ring, makes the ring much more exciting for its spectators. Katsuki is so dangerous that he is forced to wear a muzzle and special flame-resistant gloves that is locked onto his hands. He must be fed by hand as he is usually chained within his cage when not in training or fighting. Not a fun task for any Trainer or Handler. Katsuki hates the Master, but understands that he is the one that keeps him and the others alive. When the Master’s life was threatened, it was Katsuki that saved him. The Master knows that Katsuki has no affection for him and respects Katsuki’s strength and resistance.
Eijiro is a strange “dog”. Despite all the trails and terrible training, he retains his kind nature and offers solace and comfort to the other “dogs” that need it. He especially is drawn close to Katsuki, inspired by his fighting spirit through years. Eijiro helps Katsuki grounded in his humanity. Eijiro holds onto much of his humanity, but when in the ring, he too can become a fierce animal. He is known to have used his teeth in a fight once or twice. Due to his quirk, he has the least number of scars of all the “dogs”. The only scar he has was the scar from his childhood.
Mezo is gentle, a gentle giant. He finds comfort with the other “dogs” and is protective of “dogs” that are consider weak or have less flashy quirks. Mezo receives the most scars, next to Katsuki.
Fumikage is one of the top “dogs”. His quirk, Black Shadow, has made him quite renown in the ring. To keep Black Shadow under control, Fumikage is placed in a lit room to keep Black Shadow weakened between training and the fights. Fumikage keeps hope that he and the others will either escape or be rescued. He is the only one that speaks, but he only recites prayers and poems he could remember from when he was small.
Tenya was taken by chance and brought into a very ugly world of reality. He was incredibly frightened by these awful strangers that were hurting him and the other children and forcing them to hurt others. Tenya heavily relies on both Katsuki and Eijiro for guidance. Katsuki had to work really hard toughening up Tenya. Tenya may not have survived without Katsuki bullying him to live and fight another day. Tenya becomes close to one of the Handlers who reminded him of his older brother. Tenya becomes one of the top “dogs” with his large build and speed. His fighting style is hard-hitting and precised. His fighting name is the Samurai. When the ring was shut down, Tenya was reunited with his family. He and his brother were relieved to see each other. However, Tenya has trouble going back to his “proper” lifestyle. Like Eijiro, Tenya becomes fond of Izuna (fem!Izuku) and also of Uraraka Ochako.
The Master of the ring considers the “dogs” his pets. He even treats them with some sort of affection and makes sure they are well cared for. His son jokes that the Master loves his “dogs” more than him. Some “dogs” even trust him and in one instance, one “dog” protected the Master from a villain that wanted to buy one of the “dogs” which the Master refused to do so. The Master later passes and the ring falls into the hands of his son. Through the son, begins the fall of the ring.
The son abuses the ring and its “dogs”. Trainers and Handlers are not pleased but they remain for the “dogs’” sake. The relationship between the Trainers, Handlers and the “dogs” is revealed to be a strange bond. What draws the line was when the new Master uses the “dogs” to intimidate his rivals and enemies. The Trainers and Handlers outwardly protest this when a “dog” attacks a non-fighter outside the ring and escaped.
The escaped “dog” is Katsuki, the number one “dog”. Foolishly, the new Master unlocked Katsuki’s restraints. Katsuki used this opportunity to escape.
Katsuki returns to a neighborhood he recognizes from his childhood. He is reunited with Midoriya Izuna (fem!Izuku) when he saves her from the slime monster and gains media attention when he is saved by All Might (with some help from Izuna)! After the incident, Katsuki instantly attaches himself to Izuna and becomes her “dog”. It took some coaxing, but she manages to take Katsuki back to his family home. He remembers his parents, but preferred to stay by Izuna’s side. Izuna and his parents go to the police.
The ring is busted up at last by a team of undercover cops that had infiltrated the ring thanks to the cooperation of the Trainers and Handlers in a year-long infiltration.
Many of the children held as “dogs” hardly acted as people. Some were so mentally unstable that they are unable to return to their families. UA volunteers its service to rehabilitate some of the children to reintroduce them into society. The children are kept on campus. Dorms are modified as more comfortable “kennels” which they are locked in with a bed and other essentials. Each child is seen by a therapist and doctor to gage their mental stability and under close supervision interact with their peers.
Katsuki appeared to be stable enough to live with Izuna. Both she and her mother were willing to keep Katsuki in their home. Katsuki follows Izuna everywhere, even to school. At UA, he is reunited with Eijiro who was one of the few that required little therapy. Eijiro becomes fond of Izuna as well and is very affectionate to her.
Katsuki doesn’t like anyone else besides Eijiro being close Izuna. Especially Todoroki Shouta, Iida Tenya or any other teenage male.
Katsuki has a knack of getting in and out of secure areas. Even breaking out his fellow “pack” members like Mezo and Fumikage from their rooms. Proof of his intelligence and cunning.
Katsuki and the others when they could escape, like to roam the streets, enjoying their freedom. Sometimes they would stay out and fall asleep at grassy parks or gardens or playgrounds.
