More of my artwork from Nature by NorthStar Games. This is the Flight module's Faraway Place, a tropical island paradise for birds to migrate to that can't be reached by predators or competitors. Based on a photo I took at a real world location that's very close to my heart - does anyone recognize specifically which island this is?

Man I have gone thru every emotion with this project but it finally has ended happily!!

This is 2 oz of the 4 that I got at Black Sheep this year, first spin on my new (to me - she's 35 years old!) Schacht Matchless wheel. I really had a hell of a time with this fiber - it was very well prepared but with my health problems I had a really hard time keeping it consistent. It's overspun and under spun, overplied and under plied, slubby thru some of the silk portions and suddenly way thinner thru the purple. Which is why I was shocked that it was perfectly balanced when I took it off the noddy. I'm thrilled bc I was giving up hope on it being suitable for the intended project - I think it'll make a beautiful warp! I was intending to have the other half be the weft and make a fun weird plaid but seeing it in the skein I think that will be too busy and I'll use plain black alpaca instead. It's 282 yards so it'll have to be a pretty big shawl but that's hardly a problem! I'm just so relieved that it's actually balanced.

My Noddy Sona from years and years ago has been redesigned! Seeing people making sonas made me want to bring mine back for this blog specifically. I'll be sure to draw others sonas soon! In the meantime I'm gonna go silent art-wise for a while and stay drawing in a hole until Valentines day happens.

I absolutely adore the Marx gjinka. He really radiates “chaos gremlin.” And thank goodness I’m not the only one who headcanons Marx as incredibly blind (shoutout to that one piece of art from the Japanese manual of him with glasses). How bad is his sight exactly?

Also, I can see Magolor teasing him about it, and perhaps playfully snatching his glasses and watching him run into things, just for fun.

Thank you! Toy Town is heavily inspired by the old Noddy in Toyland illustrations! The arches, the building block towers, the multicolored house...Dolly even has Noddy's car, cuz I thought it would be funny.

Different regions of Toyland will have different architectural aesthetics.
