Since there's no surface in HK's lore, the best thing to get for Universe worship is probably the Dream Realm, since it's the only place with seemingly sky light. One thing connected to the other, and it just felt fitting to have Siffrin be moth tribe and Loop a mini-Radiance.

Instead of what goes down in Hallownest, there are thousands of minor moth gods from bug-Island North of Vaugarde; they don't really have the Radiance's power and thus can manifest in the waking world just fine. Also unlike Hallownest, there's no rivalrly between Dream and Nightmare; but since the former still would manifest as flames, it could still be interesting for an AU replacement of Red.

In Bug-gaurde (heh), the Change God equivalent is probably a chill higher being like Unn and the Lifeblood entity, but pale-themed so everyone's shades still stay similar to the original game and Siffrin doesn't look out of place despite wearing something slightly yellow-y. Godseeker would be SO pissed if they showed up here, no available gods would care about attuning any more than regular worship lmao

I'm rusty on HK lore though, so just shallow ideas. I'm sure someone that's more into both games together would know how to better work with them lmao

The reason I love the Bird Trio/HwoaJinXiao polycule so much is because throughout the Tekken story, from part 3 onwards, Jin has mostly been alone and faced many challenges and hardships. It was difficult without his mother's guidance and even harder after Heihachi's betrayal. However, there are two people who have stuck with him and remained the closest to the very end...

Hwoarang and Xiaoyu.

Hwoarang

Hwoarang and Jin first met as teenagers on the streets of Seoul when Heihachi took Jin with him on a bussines trip. At the time, Hwoarang was a gang leader and has likely crossed path with Jin in an attempt to take a money from him, seeing how rich the young Kazama was. He didn't expect Jin to refuse, let alone resist in a great way, as he thought of him as nothing more than a rich spoiled brat, which the latter soon proved him wrong. After their fight ended up in a draw - something that happened to Hwoarang for the first time in his whole life - it sparked something big between them.

At surface level, it looked like a simple rivalry, like any other. However, Hwoarang was the only one who really pushed their rivalrly, demanding that rematch from Kazama over and over, every time they met, but Jin did not take it seriously, nor did he want to fulfil his rival's request at the time as he was focused on getting revenge on the Ogre, leaving Hwoarang frustrated.

After the events of the third King of Iron Fist Tournament, Jin goes missing, leaving the readhead with many questions, and as the time went by, Hwoarang found himself burning with a desire to get the rematch he demanded ever since he lost that day. Fast forward to the 8th KOIF Tournament, Jin and Hwoarang faced off each other again, reingniting that spark of their rivarly from their very first days of the tournament and finding the purpose of it once again.

The rivalry is one-sided for the most of the time being, as Hwoarang is the one who initiates the fight, and Jin being the representative of calm and peaceful Kazama path, so he did not bother with his redhead rival's constant demands. However, in Tekken 8, Jin has finally come to terms with his rivalry with Hwoarang and jas started to reciprocate the need for fight, as seen in their special intro where he says: "Come at me with all you've got." This indicates that he's in a much better mental state and he's willing to play along with his friend and rival, which Hworang accepts happily. They show affection for each other in mutliple different ways, mainly through their fights where they passionately display their will to come out on top and keep the fighting spirit ignited all the way through. Jin respects Hwoarang as his rival indeed, as it can be seen in their Tekken 5 rival battle cutscene, where Jin responds with "no" after Hwoarang asks him if there is somone stronger than him.

Of course, as I am a great fan of "rivals to friends to lovers" trope, the way these two interact made me feel many things about them.

Xiaoyu

Xiaoyu met Jin when he enrolled in the Mishima Polytech High. Being a jolly and extroverted girl with a kind heart, she saw how different and lonesome the young Kazama felt in the school, so she took the matter into her own hands and tried to approach Jin... and it worked.

The tragedy at Jin's home in Yakushima left Jin feeling hopeless and vulnerable for so long, so a person like Xiaoyu was a ray of light that had shown up right after the storm. Xiaoyu's main defining trait was her undying hope and determination and it was that which made her and Jin become close. We can also see Jin call her simply "Xiao" which indicates their close bond and informality that vanished as the result of the relationship developed.

Prior to the fourth King of Iron Fist tournament, as Jin was missing at the time, someone had sent Xiaoyu an email where they warned her about the nefarious plans of Heihachi Mishima, whose protegé she was. It is very implied that it had been Jin, as he had been planning to destroy the Mishimas bloodline along with him at that time. Later in Tekken 5, he warns Xiao to stay away from him and the Mishimas until he deals with Jinpachi, as another sign of him caring about her just as much as Hwoarang.

All up to the events of Tekken 8, Xiaoyu, with her friend Panda, has been in an endless pursuit of searching for Jin, as she was worried and frustarted with everything going on. Just like Hwoarang, she was in disbelief when she heard that it was the young Kazama who started the war, as she knew him way better than everyone else (with a little exception of Hwoarang). Not once did Xiaoyu think of giving up and she chose her allies carefully (Claudio, Zafina) in order to succeed.

Jin and Xiaoyu are each other's biggest supporters and they are the textbook definition of soulmates, as they both know what the other desires and they push one another to success.

TL;DR

Hwoarang and Xiaoyu are the only two people besides Jun that can inspire and move Jin in their own different ways. Hwoarang evokes Jin's fighting spirit and passion, while Xiaoyu brings out his compassion and kindess.

And this is the main reason why I ship them all together, and no amount of money or ridicule is ever gonna make me stop.

The whole Web-Nix-Buck thing is very "Recognition Through The Other (Derogatory)" and its great. Also they're all from different schools so that rivalry plays into it, which is funny considering a) Nix couldn't give less of a shit about Stanford, b) Buck's the only one who cares about college football, and c) nobody else watching this can tell the difference anyway. - Nathan

ONCE AGAIN MY FAVORITE RED HEAD YOU ARE SO CORRECT!! it's recognition!! it's self-loathing!! it's competition!!!! it's a study in shame!! not to speculate, but i have a feeling a part of them feels that particular middle class guilt at their upbringing, especially when surrounded by enlisted men who have had to fight tooth and nail for everything that they have!! and these 3 all have it, it's just each one disagreed with how the others managed it or grappled with it in order to either fit in or blend in.

and like. you are ALSO so correct about the schools thing-- it's so funny because they went to college for WILDLY different things and different reasons, and so their contempt for each other being fueled by simple rivalry of ivy leagues (which is largely borne in football and sports-- of which neither web nor nix care about, but buck's whole life is built around) is simply SO FUCKING FUNNY.

Web cares about schooling AND was probably talked into like. legacy enrolments and some such-- he's the type to have gone to harvard because, yeah ok it's prestigious and his parents would have LOVED to brag about it to their friends, but also the course work actually has merit and the curriculum makes the most sense and the job opportunities in the end would be a lot and the chances of getting accepted into academe is high--

meanwhile, buck chose to go to UCLA for the football program + his pre-law, and then later took post grad in Loyola Law and became a really successful lawyer so he clearly chose very carefully!!

MEANWHILE, nix chose yale because. well. his granddaddy went to yale, his daddy went to yale, so i guess he should too? nixon legacy, amirite? even if he didn't want it or want to be associated with it or even if he actually chose to go to yale for any substantial reason. the fact that he maybe didn't go back after the war (idk his wiki page says he was just there for 2 years but of course that's not the best resource) just goes to show how little it actually meant to him.

these 3 went to these big ivy league colleges for varying reasons AND YET the idea of them refusing to admit that they find each other annoying bc they are mirrors of each other that they see their worst traits in, and instead hiding behind the idea of rivalrly between differing ivy league schools all but one of them has any business in caring about in makes me laugh so fucking hard. it is the single most 20-something, middle to rich class, white male bullshit i have ever heard it is SO fucking funny i can't. get your shit together, pls. it's embarrassing for the rest of us!!

hello! thank you so much for the compliments and interest in my works/fankids, it means a lot! <3 like i've mentioned before, i don't really have any solid characterizations for the fankids since i'm not that into making fankid content, but i will answer with my general assumptions for them in mind. 1. Do they have a rivalry like their fathers? yes and no. It's definitely not as severe as shadow and sonic's rivalry, and it's more so of a "anything you can do, i can do better" rivalrly haha. i didn't really plan for either fankid to be the social butterfly type so they are both reserved most of the time and can keep their competitiveness in check, but it does seep through, especially when both want to show off/one up each other. But they are much more likely to work together when needed (without any major conflict), then go their seperate ways without making much spectacle of it. 2. Do they take more after their Mother or Father Blanche more so takes after her father and Magma more so takes after his mother. If you are into mbti, Blanche would probably fit INTJ (architect) and Magma would probably fit INTP (logician). Take that info very loosely, i just skimmed some profiles to give a better idea. But, either way, what I had planned for them was to be quite reserved and aloof, but when they are in a competitive/playful mood, some of sonic and rouge's egotistic/dramatic natures come through. Blanche is definitely more colder than Magma though, and Magma has (fake?) charisma because of his prince status, so he's likely to be friendlier, whether it's genuine or not.

3. Do they have any siblings I can say a definite no for Blanche (as of now at least). I did play around with the idea of making a sort of "ying yang" twins thing and giving her a twin, and while i might pick that idea back up, like i said i don't have much interest in fankids so i probably won't. Magma, maybe. I think he's more likely to have siblings (context wise). Maybe two more. But, again, no plans as of now.

Thinking about Admin's initial drawings/concepts as a Smilersona-esque thing and how much more devious and evil he was...

Very tempted to bring it back a little. His writing does kinda work for the first chapter of JoyLand to have him be "antagonistic" without outright being a villain. Just uncontrolled, unrestrained egotism, narcassism, and apathetic behaviour. Lean into those negative traits and make the slow change into a more decent leader a more rewarding thing.

Like. The way he acts in the first chapter of it all is so selfish, he blantantly ignore health and safety to enact various crazy ideas for additions to the park. It's insane he hasn't had a proper lawsuit yet. His acts don't usually deliberately endanger guests, more so just kinda ends up being a hazard for him and JD later on. On top of that he's super petty and hogs all attention. His pettiness gets dragged out in a one sided rivalrly with the other local park, and his attention seeking is felt so much more when looking at stuff for JD's perspective as he constantly steals the spotlight and keeps all attention on him, even when JD is clearly trying to handle the guests himself.

Anyway idk just spitballin stuff here I guess

I am GLAD you asked. Eula is a simp and no one can convince me otherwise.

She made up an entire one sided rivalrly in her head FOR YEARS just to get her crush's attention. If the rivalry lasted more then 7 years, it is not a rivalry anymore, it is homosexualityy.

How dare Jean infect her with feelings, she will face vengeance. The duels are all she'll ever have so she'll settle for them, but she YEARNS, but jean will never see her as anything more than someone to cross swords with. She sees JeanLisa and is like "god i wish that were me", she is refering to them both ^^

Simialirly, Jean cares so much about her people and while Eula assumes she isn't part of Jean's people, she is. Jean is the one who admitted Eula into the KoF and gave her most, if not all, the opportunities she was ever given. She wishes they could be more than just co-workers given how similair their upbringings were.

I've been thinking of drawing young knight trainees Eujean for a while too. Also, i am dying for an arranged marriage au. Eula has to restore her family's honor and who better to do it with than the most beloved person of Mondstadt? (she isn't happy about it and her uncle will face her vengence)

greens who love alysm*nd and hate helaemond are the most unserious people to me because their only legit argument is that they like alys better than helaena. and they keep one ship out of their spaces but glorify and adore the other.

like they spend hours writing their essays about how helaemond makes the greens hypocritical and makes helaena a hoe and whatever tf else they come up with when alysm*nd has always made the greens hypocritical. the very foundation of alysm*nd is based on hypocrisy and lack of dutifulness.

greens always say helaemonds hate aegon and i do not think they realize how many alysm*nds would sell aegon to satan for a cornchip if it inconvenienced aemond in the right amount. like you can already tell that there’s fights here and there between aegon stans and aemond stans, a sorta of lowkey rivalrly within the greens fandom. f.e. fighting over who’s more competent, who did what in rook’s rest, etc.
