“Come on Joongie, you promised.” With a whine you held up the spiked chains connecting to two nipple clamps. “This is what I want to try- I did that thing for you last time. Please?”
Your boyfriend and you had an agreement that anytime one of you wanted to try something new, you two would try anything once. If it worked out, it was a new thing to toy with in the bedroom- if not, the two of you talked it over whether or not to try it again or not. Sometimes you did and it worked out, sometimes not.
Last time you tried something out of your comfort zone that he had wanted, you enjoyed it, and you just knew he would like this.
Still he eyed the nipple clamps warily. “Why clamps? Why do I have to wear them? Where did you even get the idea?”
Slowly you grinned, ready to make your case. “Your concert. Baby it was so obvious how perky your nipples were through the shirt I just wanted to play with them. And I know the guitar strap rubs them, makes them so sensitive. You don't dislike that either.” It was all you could think about after yesterday's concert. The way he looked playing the guitar, the strap rubbing against the pebbled peaks the white fabric couldn't contain at all. Thinking about it now had your mouth salivating.
He sighed, a sign he was relenting. “Fine, but if I don't like them I'm using them on you.”
“I'm okay with that.” With a giggle you took the clamps to the bedroom, climbing onto the bed first and patting the center. “Strip big boy and come sit.”
Grumbling, still a little hesitant, Hongjoong did. Clothes tossed aside he climbed onto the bed and sat on his knees in front of you. Despite his grumbling, his half hard cock and red ears was enough to tell you that part of him did like this idea.
You couldn't hide your excitement, reaching out and running your thumbs over his little peaks and observing his reaction. He reacted just as you expected, the softest change in his demeanor. “I knew it- they are sensitive.”
“Just use the clamps-”
“Nuh-uh, I have to work you up to it first, baby. Get them nice and hard so I won't have any trouble putting the clamps on.” He loved playing with yours, now you could return the favor. And you did.
Pinching both of them you gave a slight pull, happy to see his cock twitch and his pupils dilate. His hands were on his thighs, gripping them to keep from touching you. He would have plenty of opportunities to do that soon, but first you got to have your fun. It only took a few more gentle pinches and twists before it was more than obvious he was enjoying it, cock at full mass and a bead of precum just sitting there begging to be tasted.
Instead you latched your lips around his nipple, looking up at him through your lashes to see how he reacted. The whine he let out went straight to your head. Pressing your tongue against the bud you flicked and sucked, letting out a moan when his hand pressed your head closer.
With a giggle you pulled away, smiling up at him as you moved your tongue to the other neglected nipple. “Color baby? How do you like it? Does it feel good?”
“G-green. Really good. This how it feels for you?” He panted out, gaze a little hazy when he met your eyes.
“Mhmm. Feels s'good when you play with me.” You mumbled against his skin before tugging on the peak with your teeth. “You're going to look so good in those clamps when I put them on you.”
The whimper he let out just had you further convinced this was going well. Maybe he'd let you play with them more often? You couldn't be certain until the clamps were on.
While you sucked and flicked the now hardened bud, you reached for the clamps. Moving your mouth back to the first peak, you brought one clamps up, watching him through your lashes as you latched it onto his title.
The cry he let out, body jolting beneath you, and the way his dick twitched and leaked- all of it had arousal pooling through you.
He was still reeling from the first clip when you latched on the second, taking advantage of his surprise and pushing him back down on the bed. He was trembling, cheeks flushed and a heated glaze to his beautiful dark eyes. “Look at you baby, I knew you would like it. And the spikes suit you so well.”
His hands gripped your thighs tightly, eyes meeting yours as you tugged on the chain. “Fuck it hurts but-”
“You like it don't you? Admit it baby, I was right.” You cooed out, a smirk on your lips.
He bit down on his own, being defiant in the end. Until you tugged on the chain again, light enough his back arched and he let out another whimper of a cry.
His grip on your thighs was bruising, but it just added to the beautiful picture he was. “I like it. Fuck I like it.”
Showing some mercy you leaned down and kissed his swollen lips, wondering just how you were going to take advantage of him like this. One thought won over: would the chain jingle with each thrust?
You were determined to find out.

Tips and ideas for how to respond when someone is being rude to you
For personal reasons I won't get into, I have a history of just freezing when some is rude / hostile / aggressive / condescending / patronizing / etc. It's obviously not something I'm happy about at all, most people who freeze or fawn aren't happy about it and would change it if they could.
One day I confided in my co-worker, a middle aged woman in her 50's, that this is something I struggle with. Considering how confident and assertive she always struck me as, I was shocked when she told me this is also something she's struggled with.
The advice she gave me is to just memorize and practice a few broad statements or reactions that you can pull out of your pocket so to speak when someone is being rude or disrespectful to you. It's not easy if you're someone who's been conditioned to freeze or fawn, but practice helps. Practice saying these things when you're alone. Put up a sticky note next to your bed or on your bathroom mirror with these phrases and practice them when you see them. Practice saying these with a partner or trusted friend, role-play scenarios where you might need to use these phrases.
Here's a few phrases that have worked for me. The nice thing about them is that they tend to shut down the situation rather than escalating, while still letting the aggressor know that you don't find their behavior acceptable.
"Are you okay?"
This works well in professional settings, because it's not like your work place's residential bully can run to HR about you asking if they're okay (but they might if you try to retaliate and give them a taste of their own medicine). However, it still effectively sends the message "I think there's something wrong with your behavior and don't accept it". It's also not likely the response they're expecting, so it'll likely throw them off and prevent further verbal aggression.
"Could you repeat that for me? I didn't catch what you said."
This one is most effective for people you believe to actually have a conscious and might regret what they said if they actually thought about it a little more. I find that often when I do this one, when people repeat the rude/snippy/patronizing/etc thing they either shamefully stumble over their words and show some remorse, or they change altogether what they say. In the off chance they don't regret what they said and end up repeating exactly what they said, this at least buys you some time to think of a better reaction since you're no longer caught off guard by a sudden rude and snippy remark.
"Can you explain what you mean by that?"
Similar logic to the last one. Often when people are being rude/snippy/patronizing/etc they're caught up in their own emotions in that moment and didn't think it through. This is a polite and civil way of putting their rude behavior in the spotlight and making them reconsider what they said. The other advantage to this one is that in case you did misread their intentions and they meant no harm by what they said or did, this gives them an opportunity to clarify that, instead of you just feeling bad over a statement or actions they actually had no ill intentions with.
If anyone has any further examples of reactions / responses / statements that have worked for them, I'd love to hear about them. I'm new to studying the art of how to civilly yet effectively shut down bad behavior from others, so I'm always open to hearing more suggestions.

Do it for them - Co-captain reader x Curly (Mouthwash)
Part 1
(This gonna be a mini serie)
"What do you mean I can't see him? It's my husband we're talking about."
You crossed your arms but tried to maintain a relaxed posture, you didn't want to get defensive, you knew well that Anya wasn't the one to blame, you were just too anxious after that crash.
Anya: "I'm so sorry (Y/n), but the captain himself has told me that he doesn't want you to see him... He doesn't feel capable of seeing you in the state he is"
"Oh, I understand now. But you know that if he is incapacitated to perform his tasks and give instructions, then that makes me the captain."
You said firmly, putting your hands on your waist and puffing your chest, making the woman feeling so little.
Anya: "I know, but he... Give him time, please... He is in pain."
"Anya please- it's been a week already. I need to see him"
You ran your hand over your face, pressing your brow for a few seconds, trying to relax.
You had been working with Curly as her co-captain for years, and less than a year ago, you had even gotten married.
Many questioned your position since they said that in case you had to be promoted to captain if something happened to Curly, your judgment would be influenced by your husband.
You weren't going to give them rigth to keep saying that. You worked too hard for that and you now that the situation has come up you will show them.
"You are right, the captain's last orders must be respected, but please, tell me if at any moment he feel ready to see me."
You took the woman's hands firmly, almost pleadingly, to which she nodded.
You needed to stay calm to keep everything in order on the ship.
"The cockpit is completely destroyed... the corridor to it was automatically sealed with safety foam so that space wouldn't absorb us, we are floating aimlessly, and we don't have a radio to call for rescue..."
You murmured while attentively examining the ship's blueprints along with Swansea and Daisuke.
"Are the suits still available?"
Swansea: "The room where they are stored has foam that has sealed the door, but it is not a very thick layer."
"Then I'll use one and exit through the hatch to check the cockpit damage, maybe there's something that can still work."
Daisuke: "Woah... The covkpit was blown up... It's a miracle that the explosion allowed the captain to reach the corridor before it was sealed with foam, otherwise he would be floating in the-"
He fell silent when he saw Swansea's look, gesturing towards you.
"Yes... the truth is that it was a miracle that he's still alive, I'm grateful for it... Let's stick to the plan."
You stood up, ready to go to the room where the spacesuits were.
At that moment, Swansea took the opportunity to hit Daisuke on the head.
After managing to get in and take the suit, you headed to the exit room, equipped yourself before leaving through the hatch.
You observed in detail the void around you, a dark sea full of stars and debris floating around you.
You held on to the ship, trying to reach the cockpit.
Swansea: "(T/n), can you hear me? Can you see anything?"
You smiled upon realizing that the suit communicator was intact, happy to feel that you weren't alone on that walk.
"Loud and clear Swansea, I'm approaching the cockpit, the foam has spread outside the ship, it seems that it has prevented the fire from spreading."
You responded and went down to the cockpit, there was almost nothing, the only thing found there was the floor and half of the control panel.
You sighed in resignation upon seeing that there was nothing salvageable left, everything too broken and burned.
Until you got scared when something hit your helmet.
Swansea: "All good?? Your pulse has accelerated too much."
"Yeah... I'm sorry... Something scared me."
You mentioned seeing Curly's ring floating near you, and soon you took it before it drifted away and kept it.
You returned to the ship and took off the suit, and upon seeing Swansea, you shook your head, assuring him that there was nothing there that you can use to get out of there.
Daisuke: "How did it feel to be in space??"
Swansea: "Child!"
"No, no, it's fine Swansea," you raised your hand, interrupting the man before he could scold the boy. "You never get used to that feeling, I've gone out many times for different reasons but each one is unique."
Daisuke: "Did you see an alien?? Was that what scared you?"
"Oh yeah, it had enormous eyes and tentacles on its arms, giant and ponty teeth, ready to devour interns!"
You and Swansea started laughing when Daisuke hid behind the older one.
When they stopped laughing, you looked at both of them with a smile.
"We're going to find a way out of here, I promise you."
Swansea: "Sure, captain," he nodded at your words.
It felt so strange to finally be called that way, but you maintained your stance, nodding and leaving that place to head to the reserve depot.
You started organizing the remaining food supplies, it seemed like they were going to have to ration a bit, so you began separating and counting everything to maintain an inventory.
You locked the storage room with a key so there wouldn't be any food thefts.
You rested your head against the door and sighed.
You searched in your pocket and took out the ring you had found, noticing how it was slightly deformed by the heat and cold it had been exposed to, but it still retained its circular shape.
You placed it on your ring finger, next to your wedding ring.
You were sure that his ring was way bigger than yours, but the explosion for sure make it smaller now for you to use it.
After looking at it for a while, you pressed your lips against the two rings.
"We're going to get through this, no matter what it costs me."

HELLOOO!!! CONGRATS FOR THE 550 FOLLOWERS ON TUMBLR I HOPE U GET MORE FOLLOWERS BC UR WRITTING?? DELICIOUS 💗💗
But I would like to request seungcheol + dilfism ?? Like have u SEEN that man??
Thank you!! Have a good day!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVOURITE MAN <333 thank you for sending this in! LOVED writing dilf cheol. i swear this man and his sexiness of 30s will be the death of me. inspired completely by his new glasses look at caratland 2024.
this is a part of my 550 followers event, but requests are now CLOSED.
genre: smut, enemies to lovers, age gap, dilf!seungcheol, lawyer au.
word count: 13k words.
warnings: MINORS DO NOT INTERACT 18+ nsfw content. 13 YEAR AGE GAP, mention of suicide, single dad!seungcheol, a ton of legal terms (not vouching to be accurate because i am neither a lawyer nor a law student nor is my research perfect), seungcheol is a bit selfish and toxic (but there's a redemption arc), ANGSTY angst, but A LOT OF FLUFF TO COMPENSATE. smut warnings: protected sex, oral receiving (f and m), mild dirty talk, implicit size kink, implicit spit kink.
"it's my first case!" you whine in surrender, slumping on the shoulder of your friend, as you both re-read the case file in front of you for the n-th time this morning. yoona pats your head, but she knows even she can say nothing to console you. it must be either sheer bad luck or some unknown person's vengeance, that you're against choi seungcheol in the very first case of your life.
y/l/n y/n: the lawyer of the plaintiff, hwang seola.
choi seungcheol: the lawyer of the defendant, KNT enterprises pvt. ltd.
nothing can save you from losing your first case in the worst way possible. not even the stellar letters of recommendation from your professors. not even your exceptional performance in the national lawyers examination process. not even your diligence during your interning years that's earned you the title of golden rookie. everyone expects you to make it big, including yourself- but that's clearly not going to happen if you lose the very first actual case you have to face in your life.
"at least no one will mock you for losing," yoona says in a meek voice. you scoff indignantly, "as if that's any comfort. still doesn't change the fact that i'm going to start off my career on the worst foot possible. why does my luck have to be so shitty?"
"hey, think about the positives. imagine how much of a learning experience it'll be. i know best how much you consider seungcheol as your idol."
you sigh. five years ago, when seungcheol had blown up across the country because of his historic debut in the court of corporate law, winning case after case and setting precedents that were welcomed with open arms, you'd looked up to him. five years ago, he'd walked into your college for an invited seminar during your first semester and blown your mind away. five years ago, you would cry in joy at the opportunity to even spend a minute in the same courtroom as seungcheol and see him in action. five years ago, he'd been the ideal man of your dreams- perfect in every damn way possible.
the only issue with that is that he's still the ideal man in your eyes. even if losing the case against him won't make your nervous, just being in close quarters with him for long hours will make you infinitely nervous.
"maybe i should recommend boss to let you take up the ca-" you tease yoona, and she squeals, whining protests instantly. "no thank you!" you laugh, hoping to lighten the tension of the moment. but the relief is only temporary, and the weight of the upcoming case lingers in your mind for hours later.
_
the first trial of the case is a week later. before that, you decide to change your mindset to a better thought process- even if you simply assume that you're going to lose this case, you're still going to give in your 100% so that you can step away with no regrets and only more knowledge gained. the first step to that, of course, is speak to your client personally, without the intermediation of the firm you work at.
mrs hwang turns out to be a woman just a few years older than you. the primary reason why she's suing the company her husband used to work at is because her husband had been driven to suicide by the constant pressure in his workplace to keep some illegal activities and fraud under the covers, which had not only harmed his mental health and morals but also affected the way his superiors judged his work performance. she may be young, but she's lost her husband merely three years after their marriage, and just one look at her face makes your heart ache in sympathy.
this isn't the first time you've seen such a case. during your years of study, you've studied plenty of cases involving companies ill-treating their workers and leading them to take up drastic steps in desperation. not only does this case come under a serious mistreatment of employees under labour laws, but also violates laws governing corporations which demand them to steer off illegal activities and maintain integrity. it's a very interesting case, and you're highly intrigued and instantly drawn into the case. there are several nuances that you know you may miss out by a hair's breadth if you're not careful. but you cannot take chances. if you have to even put up a fair fight against choi seungcheol, you're going to have to leave no stone unturned.
at the end of your discussions with mrs hwang, you're fully convinced that the company is indeed at fault here. however, you're going to have to prove it in court with the meagre evidence you have- which is low anyway, considering how big companies use their financial and social capital to turn such cases remarkably in their favour. the primary example of that being them getting seungcheol, the country's top corporate lawyer, to represent them, while mrs hwang can only hire you, a rookie lawyer at a lesser reputed firm.
however, as you walk into the courtroom, you convince yourself to not think about how the odds are against your favour from the first moment itself, to calm your nerves. you're here to debut with a bang, and you will fake it till you make it.
_
it doesn't work.
it doesn't work because the moment you enter the courtroom, you see choi seungcheol sitting next to the defendant's CEO on the other side of the room, dressed in the most immaculate suit, his glasses perched on his nose as he inspects the documents you've submitted in court prior to the trial as preliminary evidence. when you walk towards the bench you're going to sit at, he looks up at you.
it's a careful, measured glance. a glance of confidence, a glance of self-awareness. he knows he's going to win. and yet, he smiles at you indulgently.
moments later, he meets you halfway across the room.
"good morning. i'm seungcheol," he extends his hand for a shake, his nose upturned as he looks down at you with an aura that nearly blows you away. you wish that you hadn't worn heels tonight- because if he keeps looking at you like that, your knees are going to give up.
"of course, who wouldn't know you?" you steady your voice mustering a smile.
seungcheol's smile does not change. "it's nice to meet the golden rookie finally."
his words send shivers down your spine. there's just something about meeting your idol from so up-close that you want to submit instantly to his infinitely higher knowledge and experience to you. there's also something particular to him that's affecting your mind and body- because if seungcheol at thirty-one was handsome, he's absolutely godly at thirty-six. he's aged like fine wine- the rimless glasses sitting firmly on his nose, tiny wrinkles around his eyes, and a few graying hairs around his sideburns.
you don't get a chance to respond as the judge enters the court and you're pulled away to your bench, sitting next to a very nervous-looking mrs hwang. you forcefully drag your eyes away from seungcheol, who still has that tiny smile on his face as he talks to his client, and focus on your client, giving her much-needed confidence boosts (needed both by her and by you).
_
as anticipated, the first trial does not go well. it's just your fucking luck that the judge knows seungcheol already- but then, it was wrong of you to not consider that already, knowing how famous he is. on top of it all, mrs hwang breaks down in the middle of seungcheol's questioning, shaken completely by his straightforward questions and uncaring gaze, and the court gets adjourned, leaving you stranded without any proper progress against seungcheol's stronger case. the next trial is scheduled for a week later. you wish you could think that your work has been cut out for you, but it's far from that.
the second trial comes quickly- but it doesn't let you progress much further. seungcheol looks even more nonchalant on the second trial- dressed in another suit, he's less fierce today during his questioning. you don't notice it, because you're too flustered with your own work, but his eyes stray towards you more often. his eyes glaze over with something soft every time you make eye contact, and you immediately look away, like you've been caught in the act. but seungcheol doesn't let it slip- he keeps up his passive aggression when he's shaking hands with you before exiting the courtroom.
"tough luck, rookie. focus between the lines more."
his words make you even more nervous than before, but you put on a brave face for seola's sake. this motivates you to change your gameplan, and you decide to stop focusing on existing evidence, which is scarce, and use more verbal reports of other employees who have willingly stepped up to speak the truth after the suicide of their friend and colleague. by the time you're just three days before the third trial date, you have a solid set of verbal witnesses who will provide evidence on your side, but every time you feel slightly more confident than earlier, seungcheol's voice rings in your ears and you lose all hope.
on the morning of the fourth day, you receive an email from your boss.
y/n, please attend a lunch meeting on my behalf with some of our older clients (whose list i have attached below) today.
you jump to the opportunity- being provided a chance to interact with the old clients of the firm is a lucrative opportunity to impress those who've stayed with the firm from the beginning (and naturally, have graduated into stakeholders at the firm).
so it's safe to say you're in for a rude shock when you reach the lunch spot at a five-star restaurant along the banks of the han river, and find none of your clients but instead you find seungcheol waiting for you.
_
"close your mouth and stop drooling," jeonghan's voice somehow appears in his mind when he sees you enter the restaurant. "you make it obvious how hot you find women in suits."
but seungcheol cannot take his eyes off you. hasn't been able to for the last two times he's seen you. even if the courtroom is no place for indecency, he's had plenty of indecent thoughts whenever he's seen you, dressed in your suits and blazers, your curves prominent and your hair tied up in a practical ponytail. he should not think like this about you- he knows it. you both are set up at natural odds because of the case- but somehow, that makes him more interested in you. and seungcheol would not have it any other way. he looks forward to each trial of an otherwise boring case just to see you- the passion on your face whenever you're arguing your case, the way your mouth opens in shock whenever seungcheol casually dismisses a piece of information you've clearly worked hard on, the way you stare in exasperation at the witnesses when they speak against your stance, the hunger in your eyes whenever you're questioning his client, and the fire in you that burns you to work harder before each trial. seungcheol hasn't seen a lawyer as passionate as you in many years- most would have given up even before starting just due to his formidable reputation, but you're not even intimidated by his on-brand dead stare that works on everyone.
"i was told i'm here to meet clients of my firm. i didn't know you hired our firm for your personal needs," you cock an eyebrow as you stand in front of him, and seungcheol smirks. that attitude does nothing to filter his thoughts.
"would you have come if i'd invited you personally?"
you open your mouth to say something but he beats you to it. "have a seat, please. let's enjoy lunch."
you do so immediately. submissive. "but i still don't understand why i'm here." bratty.
he places a finger on his lips as the food he's pre-ordered arrives. the smell of the delicious food breaks your frigid attitude, it obviously helps that seungcheol's ordered your self-proclaimed favourite dish on your public instagram account. "i'm sure you must be hungry." seungcheol digs in himself, his eyes on yours as he carefully licks the spoon clean. your eyes flicker to his lips instantly before you're staring back into his eyes, defiance laced in your gaze. you pick up the spoon and start eating as well. seungcheol smiles.
i'm a dad to two daughters. i know how to tame brats.
after a few minutes, he finally speaks. "do you know the first step to winning a battle, rookie?"
you look up and tilt your head slightly in question.
"knowing your opponent."
"i already know you."
"that's what you think. that's why you're not going to win."
your eyes flash with anger. "are you just going to rub that into my face? is that why i'm here?"
"so what? you don't want to win? isn't the most loved story of human history the tale of the underdog?"
"frankly, my opponent isn't even you. it's your client, who isn't even here. so i don't understand the point of this meeting."
"so much can be learnt merely through observation, rookie. you can't know someone by looking at their annual reports and how much money they pay their employees."
"i don't need to know anything more than that! unlike you, i don't wish to meddle in people's personal lives to win cases. i don't need your brain games."
seungcheol chuckles. "the courtroom is nothing but brain games, rookie. think how far facts can take you, and then think how much further imagination can take you."
you gasp, pinching your nose. "i'm sorry, what? imagination? i'll win on evidence and evidence only. i used to admire you as an icon of law. but now, when i see you defend an obvious criminal with such blatant stubbornness, i'm having second thoughts."
"obvious criminal? are you telling me you've obtained the evidence you need to prove my client guilty in court?"
"and what if i do?"
seungcheol sits back, squaring his shoulders to his full stature. "you shouldn't tell me about it then, rookie."
"when you'd walked into my law school five years ago for a seminar, this wasn't the choi seungcheol i'd grown to love as an icon."
fuck. five years ago? just how young were you?
"i'd advise you not to get emotional about the case. the courtroom is no place for admiration or lov- or any other emotions."
"and yet, you have no desire to live up to the expectations of hundreds of law students like me who look up to you? you don't care about the youth you're letting down with this attitude?"
"why should i? i'm surviving just fine, aren't i?"
by this point, seungcheol can see the way your nails dig into your own palms in frustration. it's so amusing, how emotionally you're dealing with this. in a world of black and white, seeing you behave gray in every scenario makes seungcheol think he's lived thirty-six years of his life incorrectly.
finally when you cannot come up with any rebuttal, you stand up, dragging your chair on purpose to make noise. "there's absolutely nothing more for me to talk to you about. i hope you've learnt about me today, choi seungcheol. i've certainly learnt a lot too." and you walk away before he has the opportunity to say anything.
_
lunch with seungcheol leaves you shaken and stuttering. even as you open the door of the cab outside and ask the driver to take you to the office without a second thought, you spend the entire journey lost in your own thoughts. every little moment of the meeting lingers in your mind, unsettling your confidence. from the way he calls you rookie to his quiet arrogance and confidence, everything about him is so frustrating and yet... he draws you in. your perception about him has definitely changed after today, but even with the added understanding of just how selfish choi seungcheol can be, you can't ignore the sheer attraction you feel towards him.
it stays on your mind through the next three days. and on the morning of the third trial, you're stuck with two different thoughts plaguing your mind.
the first: a genuine concern about how the third trial is going to pan out. it's likely to be your last chance to even bring the judge's opinion to your side, because if you can't present good enough evidence today, there's no way to sway the jury to your side.
the second: choi seungcheol is a man who annoys you but you also have this innate craving to impress him. your respect for him hasn't changed, but your conversation with him has revealed to you just how cutthroat the world of law really is. and his suave attitude, the confidence with which he's so sure he's going to win, and his infinitely superior experience to you makes some part of you so desperate to seek his attention and impress him. show him that you can do well too. show him that you're not going to make beginner's mistakes. show him that you're more than a mere rookie.
but when you walk into the courtroom, seola next to you, your sunglasses perched on your head, you stare at the empty bench behind you. it was supposed to be full with the four witnesses you'd invited today and were relying on to sail through the the third trial. frantically, you ask your colleague who's assisting you in the trial, "where are the witnesses? are they running late? can you ple-"
"they're not going to come today, y/n."
seungcheol's icy voice cuts through the chaos and reaches you sharply. you spin around to find him dressed immaculately in a midnight blue turtleneck that shows off the stubble growing down his jaw.
"sorry, what?"
"you heard me the first time. none of them are going to come today."
"and how do you know?"
seungcheol smirks as he shrugs and takes a step closer towards you. "i have my ways, rookie."
you're fuming at this point, but you really can't speak your mind because seola breaks down in tears right next to you and you can't help but shift away your focus from seungcheol's dangerous eyes and take care of her.
it's honestly a miracle that after the complete sweep that seungcheol presents in the third trial, with no new evidence nor substantial evidence from your end, you still get another chance at a fourth trial, scheduled two weeks from now, in a pitiful announcement from the judge, imploring you to use this final chance to collect as much as evidence as you can.
_
when the trial ends, you ask seola to go home, and you lock yourself up in a bathroom stall in the court building, trying to come to terms with everything that's come to pass today. it's been an overwhelming morning and you're still shaken badly by it all. every moment you spend in this world with seungcheol, he seems to make it his personal mission to show you that there's no place for softness or emotions in this cut-throat world.
when you exit the washroom, you find seungcheol standing outside, an unlit cigarette between his lips.
"did you bribe them?"
he turns to look at you, his eyes clearly wide in surprise. "what are you saying?"
you take a step closer to him, your entire body shaking with fury. "did you bribe the fucking witnesses?"
"we're in public, woman, control your tongue."
"i'm not ashamed of anything i'm saying though, are you?"
seungcheol's lips twist in distaste and he drags you away from the public place to a quieter spot secluded near the parking lot. "i understand you're frustrated because of that no-show today, but you're speaking nonsense-"
"i'm speaking perfect sense, seungcheol! only you knew that i was going to bring in witnesses today."
"only me?"
"except two people at my firm, one of who is my best friend, and the other is a colleague who's assisting me in the case."
"who knows? maybe your friend's the snitch-"
you step closer to him, seething in anger. "don't you fucking make false allegations, choi seungcheol!"
"you're the one making false allegations here, really."
"you'll have to admit it, seungcheol. someday. if all your fame and reputation has been through such cheap tricks and under-the-table dirty business, you'll have to pay for it-"
"or what?" seungcheol puts back the cigarette between his lips, and lights it with a lighter. he takes in a big puff, and exhales right into your face. "or what, y/n? maybe you should take my advice instead. and stop making rookie mistakes."
as he walks away from you, you shout behind him, "i'm going to expose you, seungcheol!"
"empty threats, la la la." his voice trails back, sending shivers down your spine, as you're left alone in the dark parking lot, wallowing in your own pathetic helplessness.
_
your search for further evidence has led you to a complete dead-end. the most important thing that you need, the one that will clinch the case for you absolutely, is any - even one- document directly coming from KNT to seola's husband. unfortunately, you've gone through his emails and fax multiple times, but found nothing. nothing on his laptop, no hard drives, no soft drives, no external devices, nothing on his mobile phone or other such devices either. today you're searching all his belongings again and again, but it's still the dead-end. you realise that there's no point looking for more witnesses because seungcheol's just going to drive them away by whatever tricks he's using. and you're confident that seungcheol's thinking a step ahead of you- so any new evidence sources that you might come up with now might have already been dismissed by seungcheol through some back-up plan of his.
"seola, i need you to think once more, please. did he use any other device apart from the one at his office and the one at home? any laptop or any other mobile phone?"
"no... i can't remember anything else, really. we couldn't afford anything more too..."
you grimace. "i hope you don't get offended, but i'm sure he received quite a bit of money from whatever services he was providing KNT. enough to motivate him to keep quiet and hold on for so long. otherwise an honest man like him wouldn't want to get into this mess, would he?"
seola doesn't reply immediately, tears silently dropping down his cheeks.
you sigh and place a hand on her shoulders, rubbing softly as she breaks down into more tears. in the last few weeks, you've become surprisingly quite close. you've comforted her through her worst moments, feeling compassionate both as a woman and as a lawyer. and she, in turn, has helped you without any qualms, in not just the case but also lent a patient ear to you whenever you've wanted to rant, made ramen for you whenever you've worked till late, and let you stay over at her place whenever the rain outside's become too torrential for you to take the bus back home.
after a few long moments, seola is finally able to gain back her composure. "y/n.... he did mention something about an outstation office... towards the outskirts of the city. he used to go there twice a month. he told me it was for sending out packages to the other branches of the company... but maybe you could see there once?" your eyes light up with excitement as you hear seola's words. is this finally the breakthrough you'd been looking for through high and low? is this finally going to be your trump card to win the case? your rational side tells you to not become overjoyed immediately, but something in you is desperate to see that cockiness wiped off seungcheol's face, and bring him down to earth from whatever higher place his arrogance has placed himself at.
"seola, can you give me any tentative location for it? i'm going to go check it now."
"now? but the forecast is showing there's going to be thunderstorms tonight! there's so much thunder grumbling out there-"
"it doesn't matter, seola. i can't afford to lose any more time."
_
seungcheol's been stuck in traffic for almost an hour now, and the windshield wiper is absolutely useless in preventing the rain from cascading on his front window. the rain is relentless- just like the thoughts tormenting his heart. the reason he's returning home so late is because there had been a dinner party at the workplace cafeteria, hosted by his colleagues and closest friends, jeonghan, joshua, wonwoo and minghao. they're all lawyers with their own reputations, and the only friends they all have now. the point of the dinner? celebrating seungcheol's (upcoming) win in the KNT vs mrs hwang case. (and also to get seungcheol's mind off y/n, who's distracted him from his work all week, ever since their encounter at the parking lot of the courthouse.)
it'd been a mistake to stay out for so long. a sheer lapse of judgement, and seungcheol has not choice but to curse at himself right now. his daughters have called him already, their voices sleepy as they stay up for their father to return home to eat ice cream with them, before they fall into bed.
"and yet, you have no desire to live up to the expectations of hundreds of law students like me who look up to you? you don't care about the youth you're letting down with this attitude?"
y/n's words ring in his mind.
as the rain pours down cruelly, seungcheol's heart lets out silent cries.
he's a failure.
he's failed his family. thirteen years ago, when his parents had cast him out of their house after he'd failed to get a job at a good law firm.
that attitude's gonna get you nowhere, kid! stop running your mouth and focus on your work!
he's failed his first love. nine years ago, four years before he'd finally made his mark in the country's law scene, his wife had divorced him and left their children with him, because he'd not been able to earn enough for her.
stop being such a social activist, seungcheol! the world isn't soft like you. stop being so stuck up and emotional!
and now he's failing his daughters. day after day, they'd stay up late, waiting to spend some quality time with their father. night after night, they'd end up sleeping alone because seungcheol's insomnia didn't let him sleep with them. month after month, he'd promise to take them to their long-due vacation, but he was always too busy to take leave for two weeks at once. year after year, they'd wait for him to come to sports' day but seungcheol could never make it.
appa, if you can't take us to jeju... can we go for the school trip this year to jeju? all our friends are going to go for it...
all these painful thoughts triggered simply by one person- you. you're an unprecedented variable in his life, someone he couldn't even imagine to be a part of his life even a month ago. and yet, you've made him feel so many emotions, that had become dormant for years, in such a short span of time.
he's disappointing you too.
he doesn't know why it hurts what you think of him. seungcheol had thought that at thirty-six, he's finally ascended from these petty thoughts. but somehow your judgemental gaze, your innocent words and your fresh perspectives have shaken him to the core.
or perhaps he does know why, and he doesn't want to acknowledge it.
you remind him of himself.
but you're far better than he was. he'd been a coward, a loser, too quick to give up, and too hasty to drown in his own pity party. you're a fighter, a challenger, not accepting the cruelties of status quo, and too passionate to give up your sense of justice just to fit in with the cut-throat dirty reality.
you're 10 times the lawyer than he could ever be, and something about that makes him so inexplicably drawn to you.
because you're the person he's always wanted to idolised.
no wonder that when you'd told him that you'd looked up to him as an idol, he'd laughed at himself.
the traffic jam disperses slowly, and seungcheol breaks out of his daze. the clock shows 10.30 pm, and the rain shows no sign of stopping. thankfully, the traffic is now moving smoothly.
_
after almost half an hour of standing at the bus stop, waiting for something to pass by, there's finally a car with a very bright beam slowing down in front of you. it's a private car, but you hope it can give you a l-
"what are you doing here?!" the words escape your mouth as soon as you notice who's in the driver as the car window rolls down.
"get in, rookie."
you consider hesitating, but seungcheol's car looks warm... and safe. so you do get in, hating how there's water everywhere you're touching, spoiling the clearly expensive leather of the seats. but seungcheol doesn't say anything even as you shuffle in and finally settle on the passenger seat.
he thankfully doesn't ask you anything as he lets you take a breath and get warm enough. so about five minutes pass before he asks you, "what were you thinking, standing out there in this rain?" his voice is low, almost cracked, but laced with serious concern. you notice that he's still dressed in his typical suits. is he returning from work so late?
"i had work here," you say carefully avoiding the connection about the case.
"so late at night?"
"it was important."
"that it couldn't wait till the morning?"
"no."
you're aware by the way his jaw is clenched that he's getting annoyed by your short answers. but you have no option except to be as vague as possible- his mind works too fast for you.
"where's your home?"
you tell him the locality, and he sighs. "that's on the opposite side of town."
"i know, just... maybe you can drop me at a more crowded bus stop? the one where i was waiting was a bit remote, but a more crowded one will definitely have more frequent buses-"
"you're out of your mind."
"huh?"
"just because you're irresponsible doesn't mean i will be too. i cannot and will not leave you in the middle of the road in this rain so late at night."
"seungcheol, i don't want to barge-"
"you're not barging into anything. you'll come home with me, change into drier clothes and sleep in for the night so that you don't fall sick."
"y-your home?"
"yes. do you have a better idea?"
you gulp, his gaze stern. you don't have a better idea, in fact getting to change into warm clothes and get into someone's house sounds divine right now. the only problem is that it's.... seungcheol's home. if you can't handle him in his everyday suits, you wonder what thoughts seungcheol in his natural abode will spark in you.
"i'll always be grateful to you."
seungcheol nods, and the rest of the journey is silent.
_
seungcheol doesn't know yet if it's a good or a bad idea. he did it as an impulse- perhaps some part of him hopes he's still redeemable in your eyes, so he wants to do the right thing for once. but he won't know if it's the right think for everyone until he reaches home.
when he parks the car and takes you up to his flat, he can hear the television blaring harry potter from outside the flat, and he can see the way your eyebrows furrow at the sound. so he slowly unlocks the door, to reveal his two daughters sitting on the couch, undoubtedly watching their favourite harry potter movies again, wearing identical pyjamas specially designed for the identical twins.
he can hear you gasp as you step into the house, and the girls come into your view.
there's an awkward moment of silence and staring, before sol comes running to him and wraps herself around his waist. "appa! we're right at the last scene of prisoner of azkaban, your favourite part!"
seungcheol almost tears up. how can they welcome him so warmly every night even though he's come home so late?
he clears his throat. "sounds like you've been having fun, girls. but first, say hello to y/n unnie-"
"imo," you whisper next to him, your figure shrunk with the cold.
"no unnie," he whispers back. "this is choi sol, our maknae, and that's choi byul, my eldest." the girls wave and shyly say hello, their dimpled smiles flashing politely as they bow. you bow back, "hi sol and byul! sorry you're meeting unnie in this state~"
"are you also a lawyer?"
"did you get caught in the rain?"
"do you work with appa in his office?"
"do you want fresh clothes?"
you giggle at the contrasting questions from the two girls, their starkly different personalities evident. "yes, yes, no, and yes please, if you could be so kind," you smile back, your dainty lips curving into a pretty bow that takes his breath away. sollie shifts from where she'd been wrapped around seungcheol to take your hand gently. "do you think my clothes will fit you? i think byul's clothes will. she has a very warm nightdress..." and she drags you away to her room, welcoming you in without even a single moment's hesitation. byul is more reserved in her welcome, but still warm. she follows the two of you shortly, and seungcheol is left at his doorstep alone, but filled with such a flurry of emotions in his heart that leaves his soul warmed unlike he's felt in years.
about twenty minutes later, he comes out of his bathroom after a refreshing warm shower, his hair soft after the shampoo. he can hear voices from the kitchen, loud-pitched voices of his daughters and the softer, lower voice that he recognises as you.
"unnie, do you want to have ramen?" byul's voice rings out. "we were going to have ice cream but you might feel too cold for that." sol adds, "did you eat dinner, unnie? didn't appa eat dinner with you?" "no, w- we- he picked me on the way when he saw me stranded in the rain. we didn't have dinner... together."
seungcheol's heart breaks and heals a little at the same time. he's taken the right step for now... but seeing his little girls like this have generated images and thoughts in his mind that he had shelved away forever.
the idea of a family.
the idea of giving them a new mother figure.
as he walks towards the kitchen, he can see the way sol and byul cling to you although they've met you barely half an hour ago. perhaps it's because they don't have any cousins and you feel like a sister? perhaps it's because they like bossing over adults, especially since they boss over him so much? perhaps it's because they've already been charmed by your magnetic appeal- your softness and your innocence, mingled with an intelligence that lets you befriend everyone.
"are y'all annoying y/n already?" byul immediately faux pouts, and he can see your eyes light up. "seungcheol, she looks exactly like you," your voice whispers with the revelation. "yes, she's my daughter. kinda expected, don't you think?" he laughs. it's sarcastic of course, because sol and byul actually resemble him more than any other father-daughter pair he's seen in his life. it's almost like they haven't gotten any of their mother's genes. and seungcheol doesn't really regret it. it's been nine years, he's gotten over that pain. his only regret is to not be able to provide a second parent to his children, who'd grown up in spite of being cut off completely by their mother. and his busy life has left him with no space to date or even think of marriage...
except right now.
right now, when he sees you wearing byul's nightdress that barely reaches your knees, cooking ramen with sol sitting on the kitchen counter next to you, chatting away about harry potter, and byul carefully carving out ice cream into bowls for the four of them, seungcheol thinks maybe it's time.
maybe he's found the one.
and maybe, he's already fallen beyond scope to return.
_
you didn't get much chance to talk to seungcheol last night, but when you wake up on the guest bed the next morning, you can see him as soon as you open the door. he's sitting in the balcony, sipping a cup of tea, reading a newspaper, his glasses sitting prettily on his nose.
"morning," your voice is still raspy in spite of your sleep being perfectly fulfilling.
he turns to look at you, his gaze uncharacteristically soft, much different from how he sees you at court.
"hi. tea?"
you nod, and wobble over to sit next to him. the tea clears your throat a lot, and you can finally open your eyes wide enough to see the glorious view from his balcony. so you soak in the nature for some time, while seungcheol buries his nose into the newspaper again.
"i didn't know you were a father."
seungcheol hums. "did you like them? my girls? they liked you a lot."
"can't help but not like them. they balance each other so perfectly- as if they're your twin personas."
"that's deep."
"but it's true."
seungcheol chuckles and goes back to his newspaper. the morning air hits your face and you feel so much more alive than you'd normally do on a thursday morning. "when do you have to get to work?" he asks you.
"i still have about an hour and half left."
"will you go home and then-"
"yeah. the office is really close to my place, like a minute's walk. so i'll leave soon, don't worry-"
"you'll stay for breakfast." seungcheol says firmly. "the girls will want to see you before you leave."
and you can't turn that down. so you simply nod in agreement, carefully taking a look at the man sitting across you. seungcheol at home is so unimaginably different from seungcheol at court. if he's fire in the courtroom, then he's water at home. he's cold and practical in the real world, but with his daughters, he's the most gentle person you've met. something about the soft smile he gives when he indulges his girls. something about the way his eyes light up whenever they talk to him about anything, even if it's trivial. something about the way he's taken care of you since last night, not just giving you a shelter during a terrible night but also giving you so much warmth from his personal life. it's all made you see a completely different side to seungcheol than you'd met at the courtroom, and it's changed the way you've grown to see him completely.
now you know that seungcheol was not harsh to you that day at lunch, he was simply being realistic. his cockiness and arrogance is just self-confidence, it doesn't define who he is as a person. and he's still a man you can look up to and admit, without shame, to yourself that this is the ideal man in your eyes.
your phone pings right then, and you open it to see the mail that's arrived.
the cup of tea almost slips and falls from your hands as you jump up in your seat in joy. seungcheol looks up at you in alarm, "what happened?" your smile is bright, just like the sun this morning. "i have an emergency at work, i'll have to leave now! please say goodbye to sol and byul from my side!" and you rush into your room to change into your clothes from last night, still damp but at least cleaner, and you literally run out of the house, waving and thanking seungcheol again and again, leaving him very very confused indeed.
_
seungcheol feels incredibly at peace the next day when he walks into the courtroom. even though you'd disappeared suddenly like that without any explanation, he's quite sure that he's back in your good books. not that it matters much- because what really counts is how he's feeling about himself. and after many years, he's feeling good. the usual guilt that engulfs him as a whole every day as he wakes up to face a new morning, isn't bothering him. he feels like he's achieved something, he's done something right, and he's going to get better from now on.
but as soon as he pushes open the doors of the courtroom, he feels like he's missing something out. everyone on his side of the bench seems flustered as hell, papers rumpled and expressions distraught. but he doesn't get an opportunity to ask what's going on because you catch his attention first.
"seungcheol, can we talk for a second?"
"not right now, i have to talk to my team-"
"this is urgent. you'll want to hear this, i promise."
seungcheol lets out a long sigh as he takes in your words. there's a crisp confidence in your words today that intrigue him. "okay go ahead," he finally replies.
"in private, if you please." he follows you wordlessly out of the room, and you lead him out towards a small isolated office in the corner of the building, that's totally deserted. seungcheol leans back against the closed door, completely silent as he waits for you to settle your papers and finally look up at him.
"so what's this about? you wanna kiss me or someth-"
"you're going to lose the case today. i've found enough evidence to prove the absolute guilt of KNT, and the ceo will go to jail by the end of the court session today."
"you're bluffing me."
"i can show you the evidence, but i'd rather you'd see it in court."
"then why are you telling me this now? to pity me?" seungcheol's mouth fills with bile as a dread settles over him. the tables are turned- now he feels as rattled as he had seen you feel that day at lunch. what if you're being serious right now? what if you've actually found incriminating evidence? but he's gone through all potential sources of evidence with his client, left no stone unturned to hide all tracks-
"so that maybe you can step off the case in time. do you really want your daughters to find out you've been defending your client for so long knowing you're defending a criminal?"
seungcheol's heart skips a beat.
"do not bring them into this."
"i'm not bringing anyone into anything. this is just me being nice to you because i know what it feels like to be disappointed by someone you look up to."
"do you hear what you're saying, y/n?" he takes two steps closer to you. "this is borderline blackmail. i don't even know if you're bluffing or not, and you're already blackmailing me using my daughters. have you fallen to the same crude level i'm in? are you going to disappoint me like this?"
his words have the expected effect on you. he can see your cheeks flush pink. "seu-seungcheol, don't twist my words." you take a step back, your back straightening as he sees confidence seep back into your face.
"and maybe you should stop worrying about my morals and worry more about how badly you're going to lose the case. from next time, don't make rookie mistakes." your finals words, before you leave the room, ring in his ears and cause goosebumps to erupt all over his skin.
as soon as you're gone, seungcheol slams the desk in front of him, his brain running at a hundred miles an hour. what might have slipped from his sight? what might he have missed? he immediately calls the ceo of KNT enterprises.
"what have you been hiding from me?"
"oh? mr choi, what happened to greetings? good morning to yo-"
"nothing's good about today morning, mr kim. what have you been hiding from me? i'm not going to ask you again."
"nothing! i've bared my entire soul to you for the case."
"mr kim, there's a fresh piece of incriminating evidence that's been found, and i cannot do anything to stop mrs hwang's lawyer from submitting it to the court unless you tell me what it is exactly."
"mr choi, you're mistaken, there's nothing left to be wiped-"
"the first rule of a client and lawyer relationship," his voice is seething and snarky, volume rising with each word, "is that you should never lie to your lawyer." seungcheol knows if mr kim was in front of him right now, he'd be quaking in his shoes. he can imagine a similar situation on the other side of the phone too. he knows he's intimidating enough when he wants to be.
"i didn't think it would be important-"
"you're not the person to judge what's important and what's not, mr kim."
there's a sigh and the voice becomes shaky.
"there's an outstation branch..."
_
the case ends unceremoniously. there are no paparazzi waiting for you outside the courtroom, ready to capture your life's first win. there are no cameras flashing on you, no historic moments being documented, no crowds gathering to celebrate this win for the masses.
there's just seola's happy tears and a wildly beautiful feeling of victory in your heart as realisation ultimately sinks in for you. it's a clean win- the evidence showing unmatched proof of orders coming from KNT to mr hwang, detailing all sorts of illegal activities and even records of payments being made to mr hwang. it's really crazy how it's not been eradicated cleanly already by seungcheol. clearly, either he or his client had underestimated you.
but you'd proven them wrong.
yoona's the only who comes to see you outside the courtroom after the win. there's a bright smile on her face as she hugs you and congratulates you. seola promises that she's going to take you out on a treat right now. other colleagues from your workplace call you to congratulate you on the win.
and yet you feel empty.
seungcheol's gone. he hadn't come for the trial. he'd not been in the courtroom for the final statements, his aide quoting something about a family emergency. he'd run with his tail between his legs, ashamed of his failure and finally realising his stupidity. this thought should be giving you satisfaction, but surprisingly, it doesn't. it leaves you feeling empty, still wanting something even though you've won the case just now.
but there's no way to reach out to him. you don't even have his number for god's sake, and it would be awfully awkward to go to his house. and what would you say? that you missed seeing his sad face in court when the verdict was announced? that you wanted to see if he'd be proud of you for winning the case? that you wanted to impress him by beating him in the case cleanly without any dirty tricks? so you go to eat out with yoona and seola, and decide to stop thinking about seungcheol any further.
_
it's about seven in the evening when you make it back to your tiny flat in a shabby part of town, the house dark as you'd left it in the morning after rushing home from seungcheol's place. you smile to yourself when you unlock your home using the password on the door, thinking of how you'd been with seungcheol's adorable daughters last night, and how much fun you'd had with them.
your bag falls from your hand as you open the door.
"seungcheol?!" your voice is a shaky whisper, shocked to see him inside your house. "how the fuck did you get in?"
he's still wearing the suit he'd worn in the morning, and yet he looks divine in the dim reflection of lights from the world outside the window.
"your password's your birthday. got it on my first try."
"and how do you know my birthday?"
he takes a step closer, his body towering over yours. "shhh. it's called knowing your opponent."
there's something so oddly intimate about seeing him in your flat, in the shadows of your home. the street light illuminates one side of his face, and you can't breathe because of how gorgeous he looks.
"why do you know my birthday, seungcheol? really it's not going to help you in any way-"
"it did help me get into your house."
you lightly pick up the bag from on the floor next to you, and you walk past him. "which brings me back to the first question. why are you here?"
you're purposely avoiding his gaze, the intensity making you feel things. there's a plethora of emotions in your heart right now- finally the emptiness in your heart dissipates as you can feel yourself surrounded by seungcheol. you're taking off your blazer, untying your hair, walking over to the sink to wash your face... but you can't ignore the way you can feel seungcheol's eyes on your back. his heady scent clouds your senses, and you feel weak in your limbs. first he's intruding your house, and now your heart too?
"i have a question to ask you." he speaks after a long time, when you've finally cleaned up and taken out a cup of strawberry yoghurt from the refridgerator.
"you could've asked me on the phone." you lean back on a wall, putting yourself as far away from seungcheol as possible in your tiny flat. he's in the darkness, you're in the light, but you're still feeling small and vulnerable under his gaze.
"i couldn't. it's serious." he starts walking towards you.
"seungcheol, if this is about me trying to expose your shit, i'm not going t-" seungcheol puts his hand on your lips, pushing you against the wall.
"fuck that. this isn't about that."
you cock your eyebrow, mumbling against his hand, "then what is it about?"
seungcheol doesn't answer at once, his gaze continuing to pin you against the wall, and a hand comes around you to trap you between his bigger body and the wall. "seungcheol?"
"answer me honestly, okay?" his voice is raw, slightly wobbly, and you're getting more and more curious. you nod slowly, encouraging him to say whatever's on his mind. but he doesn't say anything. a few minutes pass just like that- or maybe an hour. his scent makes you dizzy, you can't think of anything but how his big figure is over you totally.
"when you said you looked up to me in college... i know i ruined that image. b- but... can you... fuck. wait. canyoueverforgiveme?"
"what?" you ask, confused at what he just said. he removes the hand from your mouth, standing even closer than before.
"can you ever forgive me? will you let me show you a better side of me? can i ever get in your good books again?"
your breath stops for a second. why does this matter for him? doesn't he already know the state he's left your heart in since last night- ever since he'd brought you into his car, he's already been promoted to your ideal man again.
"show me a better side of you? what do you mean, seungcheol?"
he sighs for a second, before straightening his posture, becoming impossibly even bigger.
"will you ever see me as a man, y/n?"
your knees almost give in. the fuck is his implying? are you dreaming this? is this a fever drea-
seungcheol leans in and kisses your cheek, close enough to your lips, his breath falling on your skin, and making your body tingle. "will you let me show you myself to you like this?" on instinct, you tilt your head away to give him more access, your body shivering with the intimacy. so he kisses your cheek again, closer yet to your lips, and you turn your head slightly to capture his lips, but he moves away.
"y/n, don't leave me hanging please. i know you might find this odd... but i've come to feel things for you that i didn't even know remained in me. you're an extraordinary woman, one of a kind. in all my life, i haven't met anyone like you. not even my ex-wife. you don't know this yet but you're the ideal image of perfection i've always thought of."
then he stops talking for a second, clearly expecting an answer from you. but your mind can't form words, not with the way you have tunnel vision on his face right now, your eyes drifting to his pretty cherry lips, to his long eyelashes, to the beautifully expressive eyes you've fantasised about since your college days.
"y/n, say something please." his voice is desperate, and you break out of your daze.
"you're my ideal man too, seungcheol. you have no idea for how long." there's a blush creeping on your cheeks, but in the dim yellow lighting, you can see an identical blush rise on his cheeks too. so you lean in and finally kiss his elusive lips, feeling the taste of his chapped but pretty lips on yours, feeling the way his body steps even closer to yours, one arm wrapping around your waist, pulling you to him, and your body melts as you feel the warmth from his body. the kisses slowly grow in pace, the momentum rising, as he kisses you more and more hungrily, his tongue entering your mouth too, as he begins to bite your lips and leaves you breathless and moaning just from a few kisses.
"god, rookie. you sure know how to kiss."
"i know how to do a lot of things, seungcheol." you know you're bad at dirty talk, you've never really succeeded at it during your few college experiences of sex. but somehow, seungcheol's eyes roll back at your words and you feel his heartbeat quicken up too. maybe it's working on him?
you try to test your hypothesis by gently wrapping your hands around his neck, slowly untying his tie, slipping it to the floor. once it's off, you rub your hands all over his chest, feeling the pure hard muscle flex under your muscles. his breathing is as hot and heavy as yours, and you slowly untuck his shirt from his pants, unbuttoning it carefully.
"must you torture me like this, y/n?" his eyes are glazed over, but you look up at him innocently. "what, seungcheol?" "fuck it, you're such a tease, princess." princess. he pushes you against the wall and kisses you again, one hand wrapped around your hair as he pulls you in, and another hand helping you unbutton his shirt and get it out of the way. seungcheol doesn't stop kissing you even when he begins to unbutton your own shirt, but his hands wander all over the skin he slowly unravels. it's like his own adventure mission, the gentle but urgent way he touches your skin, almost worshipping.
"you're so perfect, y/n." you whimper when he cups your breasts from over your simple black bra that does nothing to flaunt your tits, but somehow seungcheol's appreciating it all. are you really his perfect woman?
"do you mean it, seungcheol?" your voice is so weak, but it takes seungcheol aback. "what do you mean, y/n? you don't think i find you beautiful? is that why i've been dreaming about you every night these days? is that why you're always on my mind? is that why i died and came back from heaven last night when i saw you with my kids?" your breath hitches as he tilts your face to look at him. "you're the most perfect woman i've ever met, i told you. you've gotta believe me, y/n. or do i have to show you?"
"maybe, yes?"
he groans at your words, and his eyes become darker. "fuck, where's your bedroom, babe?"
_
seungcheol's touch is like moonlight caressing the ripples of a pond at midnight. a soft, gentle touch that lights up every inch of your skin that he touches. as the moonlight kisses the water and makes it ebb and flow with it, seungcheol's movements guide your body too. he's laying you out on a bed, his hands wandering all over your skin. as he takes in your figure, you let him, because he's making you feel so good. he kisses all over your body, your limbs tangling as you can't get enough of each other. seungcheol is all muscle, his hard planes flexing against your supple skin. he pins you against the headpost of your small double size bed, one hand wrapped around your waist, and the other caressing your breasts, making sure there's not even a single inch of your skin that's left untouched.
"did i tell you i think you're perfect?" his words are feverish, and leave you lost for words. so you can't reply to him, hoping he gets the way you feel about him too through your desperate whines and moans, pulling him closer if he puts even a hair's distance between your bodies. something about him being so big and engulfing your smaller stature is so hot, you can feel yourself getting aroused by the minute.
"seungcheol, i w- want to... touch you," you finally whisper out, and he pulls away from where he's been kissing your neck. "but you are?"
you shake your head and shove him lightly until he's on his back, and you're hovering above him. he's still wearing his pants while he's stripped you naked, so you do the honours for him. "what are you doing," his voice is strained. "want to touch you there," you focus on taking his trousers off until he's just in his underwear under you- his bulge quite obvious to you. if you weren't wet enough earlier, seeing the massive wet patch on his grey boxers leaves your own underwear soaked. is he this aroused because of you?
seungcheol seems to read your mind as he brings your face towards his own, whispering with hot breath, "do you see what you do to me, princess? got me wrecked and ruined." his confession is so raw, you lean in to kiss him again. as you do, your hand wraps around his clothed dick, and he groans into your mouth. "fuck fuck fuck," he curses as you begin to rub it softly. "i'm going to cum right now if you do that- babe, p-please!" he finally gets your hand off his dick, eyes large.
and then you giggle. something about seeing seungcheol so desperate triggers something off in you, makes you more determined to ruin him. so you pull off his boxers and take his erect, red cock straight into your mouth. seungcheol's body trembles with surprise, your name leaving his mouth in broken moans as he cannot take the pleasure of your mouth sucking him off in an excruciatingly slow speed. and you don't stop, even when his hand comes around the nape of your neck to keep you in place, even when you feel his entire body tense up with the imminent orgasm. you don't stop until he comes inside your mouth, spewing string after string of his hot seed, and you swallow it all. his breathing is laboured as he watches you lick off the last bits of the orgasm from his dick.
but your self-satisfaction of having the upper hand only lasts for so long. seungcheol's competitive side kicks in soon and he quickly flips over to pin you under him on the bed, his teeth nibbling at your chest, leaving pretty hickeys all over.
"let me return the favour, darling."
you don't know what he means right then by return the favour, but never in your wildest dreams, did you think it would include seungcheol burying his face into your cunt, his nose rubbing against your clit as his tongue laps up your wetness.
"fuck! no- seungcheol- pl-please, cheol!"
"do you want me to stop?" he asks you, his face barely moving up inches from your pussy to look into your eyes.
you hesitate before answering, so he softly kisses your stomach. "tell me, princess."
"i've never done this before..."
"what? sex?"
"no. oral. like no one's ever gone down on me before..."
and seungcheol doesn't waste another minute. he uses his teeth to push aside your panties and inserts his tongue right into your sloppy cunt, and you scream out his name. he doesn't go slow, and you don't want him to go slow. he's showing you all the stars in the sky, so you grab onto his hair to move his head back to a particularly good spot, and he moans incoherently when you tug at his locks. and within minutes, you're reaching your high, your screams getting stuck in your throat as you close your eyes and arch your back off the bed.
thankfully, seungcheol gets his face out of your cunt and hovers over you to take in your writhing figure under the impact of the orgasm.
"so how was your first experience?" he asks you when you finally open your eyes and look at him, his lips smeared with your essence and his body.
"heavenly," you whisper, before pulling him into you, and kissing him again. you can get drunk on his kisses. he's leaving your lips abused and raw, but when he's spitting into your mouth, you wrap your legs around his waist to pull him closer, feeling the toughness of his back muscles shift under your touch. this position ends up making his cock graze against your clit, and you jerk in overstimulation. but you can feel how hard he's getting with the kissing and the way your hands are tugging his hair. the heavy length rests on your stomach, and seungcheol pulls away.
"need to be inside you now, princess." his words have this rawness to them- long gone is the smooth-talker lawyer choi seungcheol. it takes several moments for you to process that you've caused him to descend to this desperation.
"do you have a condom?" he asks you.
"hmm, i do." you point towards the dresser next to your bed, and he casually bends away to take it out from the dresser. you're getting more turned on by his easy flexibility, and as soon as he's got the condom rolled on to his dick, you pull him for kisses again.
"patience, baby," he laughs, as he pulls away again after kissing you, to nudge the tip of his dick on your folds. "nooo, need you now. need your lips." "did my kisses break you?" "i think so," your voice is a whisper and he leans in to kiss you again, a beautiful smile showing off his dimples.
and then he's slowly pushing inside you, making you whine out his name as you feel him stretch you. it's not an easy fit, but his kisses make the pain easier to bear. when a tear escapes your eyes, he asks you, his eyebrows furrowed in concern, "is it very painful?" "not very but it's been a while." he leaves kisses on your hairline. "i'll be gentle, princess."
you grip his locks tighter, pulling his face away to make eye contact.
"you better not dare, choi seungcheol."
something breaks in him. his hips begin to move faster, as he pushes your hands above your head, holding them as if handcuffed, and he's biting hickeys all over your neck. he's thrusting harder now, and your second-hand bed is already making noises. but it seems to arouse you more for some reason. something about him shaking everything around you and moulding you and everything about you to him makes you want him more.
you can't stop moaning his name, as he whispers into your ear, "i can feel how close you are baby. can feel your cunt clenching around me." "pl-please, cheol. need you more, please!" "more? faster?" you nod feverishly, and he pulls away, biting his bottom lip in concentration, one hand gripping the bed, and the other your leg around his waist, as he fucks into you.
you take in his full form, towering over you like adonis. beads of sweat falling down his pecs and his hair falling into his eyes. the sight is so beautiful that you cum right then, even as seungcheol fucks you through the orgasm.
you can feel that he's close, his dick twitching inside you, as he's making your eyes roll back. even after one orgasm, he keeps fucking you. "give me one more, baby. cum with me." and then he shifts one hand to rub your clit, and you moan under the additional touch. the last straw is when you clench around him so hard that he lets out a strangled moan and reaches his climax too. you can feel the condom become warmer, and you tremble all over as you cum again because of that sensation.
when your eyes open again, seungcheol's pulled out from you, but he sneakily lets in a finger in between your folds and licks it clean.
"seungcheol?" your broken whisper makes him look up at you.
he smirks. "you taste like nectar, baby."
_
seungcheol's insomnia doesn't let him get a full night's sleep on most nights. if he's lucky, he'll sleep for four hours at once, dreamless rest that leaves him fully charged for the next day. on other days, he'll stare into the night sky for hours, sleep eluding him. some nights he'll go to his daughters' room, and watch them sleep, his heart filling up with a warmth that's comforting like chicken soup. on other nights, he'll open his laptop, put on his glasses and finish his case files.
everyone wonders how seungcheol is so efficient at his profession. only he knows why.
but ever since you've come into his life, everything's changed.
he can no longer focus on work. he's distracted, making silly typing errors and forgetting details. but he's sleeping the best ever in a long time. he doesn't remember when was the last time he'd slept this well. it must've been before the fights had started with his ex-wife.
today, seungcheol sleeps for eight hours straight.
and he knows why.
it's because he's wrapped around you, your body melting into his under the duvet. your head's resting on his arm, but his arm doesn't hurt at all. your hair shines with the sunlight streaming in through the gaps between the curtains, but you sleep through the slight pouring into your eyes. you look particularly angelic today morning, and he feels his entire being shiver with the new-found affection for you.
you're his.
finally.
well, hopefully.
jeonghan had told him yesterday when he'd told him about his feelings for you, you've not been turned down until you've been turned down. so shoot your shot.
and oh, he had shot his shot. shot it too fast in fact. the clarity of the morning makes him suddenly worry if going straight into your bed last night had been too quick and you'll think poorly of him now. then there's the worry about you going to sleep without eating dinner last night- what if you wake up angry? another worry crops in his head as he realises it's a saturday. he doesn't have to go to work today, but you might have to. what if you get upset at him for not waking you up on time? the warm, glorious light in seungcheol's heart dims slightly as he realises you have so many reasons to turn him down.
so he lightly shakes you, whispering your name in your ear, until he feels you whisper out a soft five minutes. it makes his heart melt again, but he's more worried about you missing a work day.
"wake up, princess, you're going to be late."
as if hearing a magic word, you jolt awake, staring right into his eyes.
"late?! what's the time? fuck, it's nine-thirty!"
"it's saturday though. do you have work today?"
and then you fall back on his arm with a huff.
"saturday! of course i don't have work today. why did you wake me up!" you whine and turn around so that you're now snuggled into seungcheol's bare chest, your hair only slightly tickling him. the warm light in his heart shines bright again as he feels you cling to him.
"i didn't know if you work on saturday or not." seungcheol leaves a kiss in your hair, and you let out a satisfied sigh.
"now you know. never forget, okay? never wake me up on weekends."
never forget.
"i won't." another kiss in your hair. another sigh that makes his chest buzz. another kiss. and then you open one eye to peer at him, and he smiles at your cuteness. so there's another kiss, and then another, and then-
"stop!" you move out of his arms, giggling, your eyes finally open.
"i can't. you're too cute."
"shhhh!" you lean in to kiss him on the mouth, a gentle peck, and seungcheol takes the opportunity to wrap you in his arms again. "don't go far away." he's more serious that his tone implies, but somehow you realise that too. so you snuggle in closer, your head almost on his chest now. "i won't."
after a few long minutes of you being still in his arms, and him smelling your scent through your hair, you finally shuffle and pull him down so that his head is now resting on the pillow and you're resting your head on your palm, perched on the pillow using your elbow as support, looking down at him with clear fondness in your eyes.
"you're very romantic today, mr choi."
"do you not like it?"
"no. on the contrary, i love it."
at your words, he smiles, and you let out a fake gasp. "the rabbit has dimples!" and you attack his face with kisses, leaving him giggly and blushing as you smother him with love.
when you're finally done, he pulls your face in for a kiss and then you go back to your position to look at him from above.
"come lie down next to me."
"no this view is prettier."
seungcheol scoffs, hiding the way his heart is racing with your words. it's been years since anything barely romantic- a few dates here and there. but this is teenage seungcheol again, falling head over heels for a girl with a pretty smile and a cute way of speaking her mind.
"this view is the prettiest," he says and he's rewarded with your pretty smile again. so he spends a minute staring at the view, taking in your beauty.
you've not been turned down until you've been turned down. so shoot your shot. somehow jeonghan's nagging voice comes up in his head again and makes him remember that he's yet to ask you properly.
so he counts to three and says it.
"i like you, y/n. a lot. as i told you last night."
a strawberry latte blush taints your cheeks.
"and as i told you last night, you're pretty much my dream man, seungcheol. i've been crushing on you since my freshman year."
well that was easy.
"that long?" seungcheol feels his confidence cruise back, a smirk on his lips.
"don't laugh at me."
"i'm not. it's just unbelievable that you liked me back then. i wasn't even well off back then."
"who even cares about that! you were confident, manly, intelligent and passionate about your work. and so, so handsome. how could anyone not like you?"
"am i not handsome now?"
"of course you are, silly. that's why i still like you." you roll your eyes, as if it's so obvious. "i couldn't even date guys for a long time because i kept comparing them to you in my mind."
seungcheol's eyes go wide. "wait, really? that's kinda sad."
you laugh. "maybe, but who cares? none of them were nice in the end. that's why i kept going back to crushing on you." you lean in to kiss the mole on his cheek.
"how long has it been since your last relationship?"
"hmmm, about seven months? broke up before i graduated."
"and sex?" he hopes you can't see the way he's holding back his breath as you answer. "about a year."
and then he lets out his breath.
"and you?" you ask him, running your fingers through his hair.
he hesitates before replying. "nine years," his voice is weak.
and then you do what he's been fearing for so long.
you laugh.
"wow. that's like... that is long." but your expression changes into a serious one soon. "but you haven't lost any of your technique yet. so it's a win in my books. i don't even have to be jealous of anyone else. who was your last lucky lady?"
"my ex-wife." seungcheol winces as he mentally prepares himself for all the reasons you might turn him down.
but you don't. your serious expression remains even as you're surprised. "you were married? is she the mother of sol and byul?"
"yeah."
you nod your head slowly, digesting the information. after a second you say, "i can't fathom why anyone would leave you and your two perfect little girls."
seungcheol's smile turns bitter. "she did. but it doesn't matter. she's found a better life now, after moving away to the US with her new husband. and i've found a better life too, moving away from her."
you nod again. "you're very brave, cheol." and you kiss his cheek again, and seungcheol's heart swells at how maturely you've handled this conversation. but there's yet more reasons for you to reject him.
when you pull away to look at him again, you softly ask him, "are your daughters okay with the idea of you dating again?" dating. there are tingles all over seungcheol's body as you finally quash all worries from his mind. "i haven't explicitly discussed this with them," he says with some hesitation. "that being said, i think they like you a lot. you made a very strong first impression. and trust me, for ten year olds as stubborn as mine, a first impression is all that matters."
"they're just like you," you giggle, your hand fondly cupping his cheek. "but seriously. they like me as a friend... as your colleague. what if they don't like me as your... girlfriend?"
girlfriend. seungcheol wants to flip you down on the bed and make love to you all over again, but he resists his urge. he settles for wrapping his hand around your hips and caressing them. "they'll love you, princess. they've longed for a mother figure for long enough." after a pause he says, "i'm worried they'll not see you as a mother figure but as a sister."
you burst out laughing. "what?!"
"i'm much older than you, y/n."
"so?"
"i'm thirty-six, y/n."
"that's not old. i'm twenty-three."
seungcheol chokes on his own words. "exactly. i'm literally old enough to be your father, y/n."
"well, you'd have to become a father really really early then," you say, laughing.
"y/n, be serious."
"i am being serious. i've met men who're twenty but act like they're forty. what really matters is what you've got here-" and you poke at his chest where his heart's supposed to be.
"i'm going to die thirteen years before you!"
"darling, i don't think that's how death works."
darling. seungcheol's heart hammers against his chest as he pulls you in for a deep kiss. and then you pull away from him. "you're a dilf, seungcheol. that's like 80% of why i'm attracted to you. bet i wouldn't be attracted to twenty-three year old you." there's a teasing glint in your eyes, but seungcheol still whines as he feels upset at your teasing words. "babyyyy!" you laugh at his deepening pout, and lean in to kiss his pout in a peck, before getting out of bed.
seungcheol's mouth falls open as he takes in your soft curves which look even more alluring in the daylight. something about the way your ass sways as you walk makes his dick twitch in interest, but seungcheol curses himself. he can't be thirty-six and this hormonal, for fucks' sake.
you open the closet door to pull out a loose t-shirt and shorts, wearing them without any underwear. "do you want to stay for breakfast?"
a lazy grin spreads on seungcheol's face as he stretches his body in bed, relishing the way you ogle his stretching biceps, and he casually pushes the blanket away from his hips to reveal his toned stomach to you too.
"i want to stay for the rest of my life, rookie."
he's left with no doubt of reciprocation of his feeling as he sees the blush on your face as you hide and run from him at his cheesy words.

Two-Sided Reunion
Hwang In-ho x gn!reader
Summary: The games continue despite the failed mutiny of the games. The players left in Gi-hun's group have to manage the next game on their own. Just when you have accepted your fate, you are escorted to the quarters of the man in charge, your childhood friend. He'd been waiting for you to arrive, and he knows just how to convince you to stay. [This is a part two to my fic "One-sided Reunion," but it can be read stand-alone]
warnings: PTSD mentioned/described, reader thinks they are going to die and is okay with that, canon-typical violence, manipulation/lying
a/n: IT'S HERE! 5.9k words. i'm so happy with this one, I hope you all enjoy it. this isn't the last you'll see from this concept, but i am taking a break from it for a bit.
You had no idea what to expect after the games continued. The attempted coup was a total failure. Except for Dae-ho and Hyun-ju, no one who left the room to fight had lived to tell the tale. You didn't have to imagine what happened to most of them. When you all were escorted to the fourth game, the stairs were still littered with the players' bodies. You noticed that there were no bodies of the pink soldiers, so either the revolution was squandered quickly with no guard casualties, or the soldiers were given the courtesy of the black coffins. The violence was memorialized with blood stains, bullet holes, and shell casings. It was horrific. The game maker's message was definitely clear.
You noticed that there were a few bodies missing. Young-il, Gi-hun, and Jung-bae. They must have made it into the control room. When they weren't announced with the others, you had some form of hope that they made it out okay, but they were announced shortly after the soldiers had stormed back into the dormitory with guns blazing.
Part of you was glad that they weren't anywhere to be seen. You think you would have broken down if you saw Young-il's body. You two were decently close in the games, all things considered. He saved your life during Mingle in that last round. Despite your argument, he was probably your closest ally in the games. And he looked too much like In-ho. Seeing him like that would have broken you.
The players weren't given food before the next game would begin. There was also no opportunity to vote again either. The promise created by the tie vote would never be kept. Maybe they knew that the players would vote to leave after the bloodshed that had occurred. X's and O's alike were nervous as they entered the white room. There was no animosity between the groups anymore. You all realized that any conflict you had was fabricated by the gamemakers.
"Attention Players:" The robotic voice began. You felt your heart race. You could hardly focus on the voice as it spoke. "This game will be played in groups of three. You will have ten minutes to pick your groups.
The members left in the group formed by Gi-hun looked at each other. You all no longer had the wisdom of your two best players, Gi-hun and Young-il. You tried to think about what games you could be playing. Three players was a strange number, as there weren't any games that were strictly teams of three. You also had the issue that your group had eight players, which was not divisible by three. You had yourself, Dae-ho, Hyun-ju, the mother and son duo, Jun-hee and the crypto influencer (you knew they were acquainted somehow, but it wasn't clear), and the younger boy who had previously been with Thanos, who you didn't even know the name of.
Hyun-ju spoke first. "Do you guys think we should pair up together or spread out to other groups?"
You tried to remember what Gi-hun had said about his games. You knew he mentioned something about a game with a group of two, and it was something he didn't have the heart to talk about. That game was a touchy subject for him, so that was likely a very cutthroat game. But he never mentioned teams of three.
"Do we even have any idea of what we're playing?" Player 333 asked.
No one had any ideas. Gi-hun wasn't here to give any information from the previous games. You all were going into this blindly. "I mean, it could be Go-Stop." You offered half-heartedly. You doubted that it would be entertaining for the people running the games.
The silence lingered for a few moments before someone spoke. "Well, no matter what, l'm pairing up with my son." The older woman said, grabbing the man's arm. You knew he wanted to object by looking at his face, but he didn't. He probably knew that any resistance would be futile, and he needed to be near to protect her.
Jun-hee spoke up. "I could go with you guys." She offered.
Myung-gi objected quickly, "No way, you're with me."
She clearly didn't want that option, but something swayed her to accept it.
You met Hyun-ju's gaze before looking over to Dae-ho. "Do you have someone you want to team with?" You asked him.
Dae-ho had changed completely after the attempted coup. He came back for more ammo but started to have a panic attack. Probably from PTSD from his time in the marines. After they announced Jung-bae's elimination, he hadn't said much of anything to anyone since. He was a shell of his former self.
He didn't even show any recognition that you were speaking to him. He just stared with the same deadpan stare, looking in the direction of Jun-hee, but he wasn't looking at her. It's more like he was looking through her.
You sighed softly. You didn't want to leave him behind, but you were also afraid that if this was a team game like the 6-legged race, his state of shock would ruin the chances of his team's survival.
“I can go with Dae-ho and try to find another person.” Hyun-ju said.
You winced. Hyun-ju was a great player, and the idea of losing her because she had to work with the shell-shocked Dae-ho would crush you. "If that's what you want, that's fine." You mumbled.
You looked over to Player 125. “Which group do you want to be with?"
He seemed conflicted at first as his anxiety got to him. He took a breath and looked over to the mother and son. "Can I go with you guys?" He asked, voice shaking.
They both nodded, and you looked over to Jun-hee and Myung-gi. "I guess I'm with you guys then."
You all waited out the rest of the time until the game began. You all walked into a room that looked like a recreation of a neighborhood. There were small houses, and the alleys connecting them were all decorated. It even looked like the road was actually paved with asphalt. It was a fairly big room as well, but how would you play most games in a more enclosed space?
“Attention Players: The game you are playing is Hide and Seek. You will be playing with the two players you have chosen." The announcement played, using a voice too cheery for the situation.
You felt your blood run cold. This wasn't a team game at all.
"The player with the lowest number will be the seeker and the other two will be the hiders."
All three of you looked at the number on your jacket. 032. You were seeking.
"The hiders will be given five minutes to hide while the seekers will be blindfolded. Then, the seekers will have five minutes to search for the hiders. The seeker must touch the hider to find them. If the seeker finds a hider, that hider will be eliminated. If the seeker does not find both hiders, the seeker will be eliminated." The voice continued. "Let me repeat the instructions...”
The voice faded out as it continued. You couldn't hear anything over the beating of your heart. Your breathing quickened as you comprehended the information. The only way you would live is if you killed the other two.
You heard the cries of Geum-ja realizing her son, Player 7, was the seeker, and the pair had no chance of making it out alive together. You didn't hear anything from Hyun-ju. You at least knew that Dae-ho wouldn't be the seeker, but you didn't even know if he would be able to hide on his own. You hoped that their third member was the seeker.
You were still standing in shock as the guard put a black burlap sack over your head and pushed you toward the outer wall. Your mind was racing as you tried to think of any way to salvage the situation. There wasn't one, but your optimistic nature made you want to hope there was one. You couldn't bear to eliminate the other two, especially since Jun-hee had the baby to worry about. You wanted to live, but you weren't that selfish.
The five minutes rushed by. Your blindfold was removed, and the timer restarted with five more minutes on the clock. Everyone else started dashing around the room, desperately trying to find the hiders, but you really didn't care. You walked around aimlessly, taking in as much of the experience as you could since it was going to be your last
You flinched as the first gunshot rang out. You didn't even hear the number of the player who died. You just kept thinking how that was going to be you in a few minutes.
You eventually stumbled into Hyun-ju and Dae-ho Hyun-ju wasn't her group's seeker, thankfully. She put a finger to her lips. You just nodded and walked away.
You kept walking around, making it look like you were actively seeking, but you weren't. Around the one minute mark, you did end up seeing Jun-hee and Myung-gi.
The man started to turn and get Jun-hee to run, but you just shook your head. He gave you a confused look. "I'm not gonna do this. I can't do this to you guys." You said, voice wavering.
Jun-hee gave you a knowing look, eyes starting to well up with tears. Myung-gi, on the other hand, eyed you suspiciously. He was worried this was a ruse and you would use it to distract them.
"Just do me a favor.” You asked, feeling a tear roll down your cheek. “Vote to end them if they let you. And if not, don't let one of the O assholes win. Get out of here alive, please." You said with a rueful chuckle. You looked up to the timer. 30 seconds left.
You heard Jun-hee start crying, murmuring words of thanks as more gunshots rang out. "Thank you. We won't forget your kindness." Myung-gi said with a slight bow, most likely a way of apologizing for doubting your intentions.
"I'm gonna go so you don't have to see it." You said before walking off to find a secluded spot. Following Young-il's example, you were trying to shield your allies from seeing your demise. You sat on a bench, taking deep breath.
Once the timer went off, you let out a broken sob. It was over. You started hearing gunshots and player eliminations. You only caught one of them. Player 7. He saved his mom. He did call her a survivor after all.
You saw a triangle guard walk toward you. You squeezed your eyes shut, hoping he would make it quick.
You heard a gunshot.
You didn't feel any pain.
You stayed still. Maybe it was another guard shooting someone else.
"Player 32, eliminated."
What? Were you dead?
By the time you opened your eyes, the soldier was in front of you and put his clothed hand over your mouth before you could say anything. You tried fighting him off, but he only sharply whispered, "Be quiet."
You listened. What else would you do?
You stayed like that until the doors slammed shut. You assumed all the surviving players were going back to the dorm. He removed his hand from your face but grabbed your shoulder to keep you there.
Two other guards came over to you. One with a square and another triangle with a gun in hand.
"Follow me." The square guard ordered. He didn't say anything else before beginning to walk away. Of course you listened.
You walked with the two armed guards behind you. You looked around to see if you saw any other bodies you recognized, but you didn't. You hoped the others in your group were okay. You walked past the forklift carrying the black coffins to put the players in. You should be in one of those now.
'Did I do something wrong?" You asked. You were greeted with silence. No, of course you hadn't done something wrong. If you had, they would have just shot you. That's how they deal with rulebreakers. You knew that. You saw that on your way to the game hall.
You followed them wordlessly, wiping the tears from your face. You had more questions, but you knew you wouldn't get answers. You started thinking through the possibilities that might occur to you. None of them were good. You were led into an elevator. The guard hit a button, and the door shut. You stood and waited to see where you were going to end up.
---
In-ho had started creating this game the second he was back in the control room. The fourth game had always been meant to be a cutthroat, alliance breaking game. It was consistently the Marble game for several years, but he didn't know if Gi-hun had told any of the players about that game. If he did, there was a chance the remaining members of his group would account for that scenario. He needed a game that was just as heartbreaking but could still allow you to be pulled out of the game, so he devised hide-and-seek.
Most of the rules for the game worked well for the circumstances. Deciding who would be the seeker was difficult. His first thought was to make it random to ensure you were the seeker. But after the coup, he decided against it so the players didn't think the seekers were being punished by the gamemakers. That's the last thing he wanted. Choosing the player with the lowest number was a gamble. He knew that Player 7 was one of your allies, so if you decided to have him in your group, you wouldn't be the seeker and therefore couldn't be pulled out. Luckily, you hadn't joined them. He smiled a bit under his mask when he noticed.
Once the doors were shut, the game was ready to commence. He did feel a little bad when he saw you start to panic upon realizing what the game meant. He swallowed tensely. He knew this was going to be a hard moment to stomach for both of you. In order for the plan to work, you had to think you were going to die. He didn't want to see it, but it was necessary.
During the game, he found himself only watching you. His eyes gravitated toward whatever screen you were displayed on. He was surprised that you seemed so resigned to your fate. He assumed the only reason you did was the fact you knew Jun-hee was pregnant.
He noticed you walk away from the pair, and that confused him at first. It was a good thing for him after all since it made it easier for you to be unseen. He watched you start to panic and cry uncontrollably once the timer hit zero. He turned away from the screen, only slightly at first to look away, but then he looked over to the guard in black. "Continue with the normal schedule." He said quickly. Once the players were on their way to the dorm, he turned on his heel and made his way up to his living quarters
---
When the elevator doors slid open, you weren't expecting to see the elegant suite. Why was this here? And why were you being led to it?
You looked over to the square guard. "Should I go in?" You asked. No reaction. It shouldn't have surprised you.
As you decided to step forward, you saw someone come down the hall. A man in black with a polygonal mask. It's the guy Gi-hun had mentioned talking to when he was in the limousine. You tensed up slightly upon this realization. What the hell did you do to warrant this?
"Hello, Player 32." He greeted. His mask clearly had some form of voice filter, as his voice was pitched down slightly.
Before you could respond, you heard the elevator doors shut behind you. You turned to investigate the noise, and when you realized the answer was obvious, you nervously cleared your throat. You gave him a bow of respect. "Hello, sir." You said meekly.
He chuckled, a sound that relaxed you slightly. "There's no need for such pleasantries." He said. The mask blocked all of your ability to see any nonverbal cues from him. It was somewhat unnerving. "Do you have any idea why you are here?" He asked. He knew he was leading you on a bit here by not being straightforward with the reason, but it was all in good fun.
You shook your head. "No, sir. I shouldn't be alive right now. But they just brought me here.'" You said, trying not to stumble over your words. It was hard because saying the phrase 'I shouldn't be alive right now' was harrowing
"Do you want to know why?”
You seemed confused. Why would you say no to that? You doubted it was a trick question. You nodded.
“Because I told them to." He said bluntly
You murmured a soft "oh" before sighing in disappointment. You had hoped he would give you more context.
He chuckled lightly at your reaction. You seemed to relax a bit, but you definitely didn't seem comfortable yet. He continued, "You were invited here because we share a common goal. We're trying to find someone who left us long ago.”
You furrowed your eyebrows. "How do you know that?" You asked. It wasn't like there was an interview to get into the games. You had only told a few trusted friends about your situation
He winced under the mask at the question, but he was able to recover from that oversight quickly. "You would be surprised how much reconnaissance we do before recruiting players."
You didn't know why you hadn't thought of that. Of course they would. They had already shown they knew exactly how much debt you were in. Even before you called the number on the business card. The man with the suitcase knew it too.
"See, this is a huge coincidence. The person I'm looking for is you." He said. That was a half truth. He hadn't been looking for you until he first saw you in the games. But he'd been watching out for you since then.
Your eyes widened. The person in charge has been looking for you? What did you do? How did you somehow wrong the same man that now holds your life in his hands? What was he gonna do to you? Your breaths started to quicken as your mind raced.
He was quick to dispel your fears. "Calm down, okay? It's nothing malicious. If I wanted to harm you, I could easily have done it by now." He said. He chose those words carefully. It asserted the power he had but also showed you that he could be trusted.
That statement didn't make you feel any better, but you at least made an attempt to appear calm externally.
He chuckled again. “I'll stop pulling your leg now.” He said before reaching up to take down his hood. You were only growing increasingly confused. What the hell did that mean?
You only got more nervous as he started to pull off his mask. The triangle guard that Gi-hun stole the gun from acted like being unmasked was a death sentence. Was the act of unmasking a display of respect or meant to signal that you won't be around to cause consequences?
Your brain ran a mile a minute once you saw his face. You studied his face. Your mouth fell open as you tried to get your brain to work.
You first recognized him as Young-il. You didn't know how to feel about that. You were happy he didn't die, but you were just so confused by the prospect. How did he survive? Was he really the same person as Gi-hun mentioned?
You started to stutter out “Y-Youn-” before stopping as your brain made sense of the situation at hand.
Young-il's similarity to In-ho was obvious to you since you first saw him. Young-il looked similar to how you remembered your friend's appearance, but time had likely changed what In-ho looked like since you saw him last. But he acted a lot like In-ho as well. He was willing to help others with whatever they needed, and he also knew how to rationally take control of a situation to do what needed to be done. You saw this in Mingle, with some unfortunate consequences. Pairing this with how insistent he was about talking about the man he reminded you of, the puzzle solved itself.
“In-ho?” Your voice shook. Not out of fear this time. You were overwhelmed by several emotions. Mostly shock, but also excitement and confusion.
The second you saw him nod slightly with a smile, you couldn't stop yourself from rushing toward him. You wrapped your arms around him, crying into his chest.
His smile grew when you did so. He finally let the mask fall from his fingers, the clattering on the floor signaling his newfound freedom. He wrapped his arms around you as well. He let go of a breath he didn't know he was holding. His shoulders felt loose for the first time in a long time, free of the weight of the role of the Front Man. He really was In-ho at this moment and nothing else.
You wanted to just soak in the moment, but you realized how many questions you had for him. Most of them were questions you had been asking yourself for years. Why did he leave? Why didn't he tell you anything? But there were some new, more troubling questions arising. How did he end up running the games? Why would he even decide to hold them in the first place? Why did he play in the games if he was really the man in charge?
By the time you pulled away, you had been thinking long enough that your tears had dried. You stumbled over your words at first, trying to decide which question to ask first. When that failed, you looked at him and just said “Explain.”
“When I left, I was leaving to join the games to pay for her treatments.” He said, referring to his wife. You knew the situation well. “I won the games and made it out with the money. I stopped back at the hospital as soon as I could, but she and the baby had passed while I was away.” He said. His voice was soft and solemn.
“I just couldn't come back to you like that. I already seemed like a deadbeat for leaving in the first place. How do I explain the money I came back with? So I just went wherever my feet took me.” He said.
Your eyebrows furrowed, looking up at him. “How did you end up back here? Why would you…” You questioned, trailing off as you couldn't form the words to ask what you really wanted to.
His next statement was one he had thought about for a while. He had hardly slept the night before, finding his mind running through how he would answer your questions. He wanted this to go well. He wanted to be able to rebuild this relationship and get a shred of his old life back. Explaining why he was continuing the games was a vital part of this encounter. What he was going to say was mostly true. The broad strokes were accurate, but he couldn't tell you every detail, so some were exaggerated. Nothing was outright false, but intentions and specifics can be blurred when the only other person who was there died years ago. Il-nam was the only one who could prove him wrong.
Was it wrong to lie to you? Maybe. In his mind, he was protecting you from the gory detail and giving you the opportunity to be outside the realms of the game. Learning too much can put a target on your back. If he tried to leave the operation now, he would be leaving in a wooden box. By keeping you out of it, he was protecting you from that fate.
He sighed. “I was hardly living for a while. I was homeless because I couldn't convince myself to use the money. Eventually I received another business card. I was vulnerable and they knew that. They told me that I was wasting my chance at life by not using the money. But they gave me the proposition of working with them. If I wasn't going to appreciate my opportunity, I could help them provide the opportunity to others.”
You took a deep breath. It was hard to hear. On one hand, he chose to leave and not say a word. He could have at least given you and his family any sign he was okay. But you also put yourself in his perspective. Would you have been thinking rationally if you made it out of the games with that much trauma?
“I still wish you would have reached out somehow.” You said, trying to mask any bitterness in your tone. It was true and you were bitter but you knew it wasn't fair to be.
He nodded wistfully. “I wish I did too. I was just… ashamed, I guess.” He said.
You sighed. “I just don't understand why you would agree to help with the games at all. Especially when you saw how they were from the other side.” You said. You weren't going to be convinced without an explanation for that. That decision led to the deaths of hundreds of people. He was going to need a good reason for that.
“You have to realize, the higher-ups don't see the game from that perspective. They don't care about the individual players.” He said. Your eyes widened slightly. You didn't know this operation was so widespread. Gi-hun had made it seem like the Front Man was the head of the organization. He continued, “They told me that the games were the best way to give people a fair and equal chance to change their lives.”
You gave a slightly annoyed sigh, shaking your head. “But how many people died? The collateral damage is severe to offer just one person that chance,” you countered.
“They described it as a mercy killing.” He said. You clearly didn't like that phrasing by your facial expressions, so he continued. “What I mean by that is they were lessening their suffering. Out in the world, they would spend years being chased down by loan sharks and organ harvesters. Here, they make it quick.”
You opened your mouth to interject, but he continued.
“I'm not saying that this is the correct way to solve their problems. I wasn't in my right mind when they convinced me.” He said. This was the most disingenuous he had been during this encounter, but he still wasn't lying. Most would say he couldn't have been in his right mind if he made the decision to allow hundreds of people to be killed to ‘take out the trash’ of society.
He did a quick scan of the room, seeming to be looking for another presence in the room. That made you nervous. Is there someone else here? Before you could say anything, he spoke in a softer voice as if he was telling you a secret. “I'm in too deep now. They'd kill me if I tried to leave.”
That's a true statement. There was no way he would be able to leave the operation now. He knew too much so he would become a loose end. Good thing he doesn't intend on leaving.
Call it naivete on your part, but you pitied him. He couldn't leave even if he wanted to. He would have come back if he could. He didn't say that, but that's what he means, right?
“Oh my god.” You said, still somewhat in shock of it all. You thought for a moment. “So why were you playing in the games?” You asked.
He shook his head with a sigh. “They wanted someone to watch over Gi-hun to make sure he stayed in line. I was expendable and they knew I had experience.” He said. That was mostly true, but there was little chance he would have failed the games. He obviously knew the trick for Red Light Green Light. The six-legged race was more dangerous, but he was in more control over it than anyone knew. And for Mingle he memorized the sequence of the numbers, which was a detail he had almost let slip.
You didn't know what to say. You felt so bad for him. You felt bad for the anger you felt when he left without saying goodbye. For the times you had let Jun-ho curse his brother's name for causing them to worry. For the times his mom called him a bad husband for walking out on his wife. You wanted to apologize for the resentment and bitterness because he doesn't deserve that.
“You know, I'm actually kind of glad they put me back in the games.” He said softly.
You gave him a confused look. “Why? Wasn't that traumatic?” You asked. It shook you to your core, and you didn't even have past experiences to haunt your mind.
He nodded. “Yeah, of course. But…” He trailed off. He tore his gaze down to his hands, and you could swear you saw a light blush dust his cheeks. “I can't even describe how it felt to see you there.” He said.
“Obviously I wish it could have been under different circumstances,” he started. You nodded with a light chuckle, a sound which made him smile a bit. “But seeing you there felt like I was seeing an angel. A glimmer of hope. I never thought I would be able to have any piece of my old life back.”
You were the one blushing now. Once it seemed like he was done talking, you spoke: “I-is that why I'm still… here.” You paused shortly because you got hung up realizing you were going to ask why you were still alive.
He nodded. “It wasn't easy, but after the attempted coup, I managed to get them to allow me to pull you out of the game.” He said.
You seemed puzzled. “Isn't that against the rules though?” You asked. The gamemakers had a considerable amount of rules, and you couldn't understand why they would be willing to compromise on a rule as important as player eliminations.
He sighed. “Technically yes, but it's something we did previously. The man who originally started the games was dying, and he wanted to be able to play the games for real. So we arranged for him to play the first three games with some protection and be pulled out after the fourth. It was decided that, under very special circumstances, we could pull a player out of the games alive after they were eliminated as long as they weren't seen by any other players.” He explained. You nodded as you took in all the information. It was a lot to process.
“Thank you.” You said softly. It sunk in that you would be dead without him. He was your saving grace.
His face turned into a friendly smirk. “As if I'd let anything happen to you. You still owe me money from that last trip to that tteokbokki stall.” He said.
You giggled softly, grinning as well. “That's not how I remember that going, but sure, tteokbokki on me next time.” You shot back jokingly. You both shared a laugh before quieting for a moment. That joke was the most normalcy that either of you experienced in a long time.
You had a question to ask, but you were scared to hear the answer.
“So what happens now?”
You wouldn't imagine In-ho would do anything to you, but you didn't know what the gamemakers would do. Are you allowed to go home? Or will they keep you there? Or would they kill you?
“That's up to you. No matter what, it's really important that you don't say a word of this to anyone. I think we'd both be in danger if you did.” He said. “You would be welcome here if you want. You wouldn't have to deal with the games if you don't want to. Or I could have someone escort you back to the mainland.”
He would be taking a risk letting you leave the island, but he was willing to gamble here. You would do anything for him, and he knew that. If you thought he would be killed if you disclosed the information, you weren't going to say anything. You already said you would do anything to have him back, so you would keep quiet if it meant that he was safe.
And he was right. How could you leave him alone again? You meant what you said. You would do anything.
If you stayed, you didn't have to be a part of the games. Did staying mean you were supporting their existence? You didn't think so. Staying with In-ho didn't mean you approved of them. It just meant that you missed your friend. Even so, you don't think that argument would have changed your mind. In your case, the games did their job. They helped you to change your life for the better. This was your chance.
You didn't really have anything left out there in the real world anyway. You had already readied yourself to die in the place of Jun-hee and Myung-gi during the game. Nothing out there was important enough for you to fight to stay alive then. You sat there and were expecting a bullet to the skull, and you had been at peace with that outcome.
Sure, you had Jun-ho, but he had been so absorbed in a case and you had hardly seen him in months. You only had your dad in your biological family, and you two were hardly on speaking terms most of the time. He most likely wouldn't have allowed you back home if you hadn't brought the money with you. Here you didn't have to deal with your dad's loan sharks who were threatening to drag you into debt too. Even though this place seemed dangerous, this felt like a swimming pool compared to the ocean you were struggling in out there.
And here you have In-ho. You missed him so fucking much. Laughing with him earlier was the best you had felt in a long time. Since he left, it felt like a piece of your soul had vanished. The spark was gone and you proceeded to be swallowed by the shadows and darkness of the world around you. You had been so low before that even being in his presence now felt like you were on top of the world.
If you stayed, you would be leaving just like In-ho had. You resented him for it then, but you regret ever being mad at him for it. You understand now. Maybe Jun-ho will curse your name too. He'll call you a deadbeat and give up hope of finding you.
It doesn't matter though.
As long as you're happy, right?
You smiled. “Fuck it. I'll stay.”
He welcomed you into his embrace with open arms.

Ooh I'm happy to see you open again! I love you writing. Please, I would like to make a request too. 🥺 My request is where MC/Yuu broke their ankle, they got sad because they unable to celebrate Christmas with Silver. Hopefully you can accept this.
COMMENTS: Sure!👍 I really thought I would write little for this one, I don't know how so many words appeared. 😅
I hope you and all enjoy ⚔️
CHARACTERS: Silver (special participation of Lilia and Grim)
TAGS: Fluff; GN Reader; Can be read as platonic
WORD COUNT: 1.210 words
Christmas doesn't exist in Twisted Wonderland. You're the one who told Silver and the others about this holiday in your world.
“It sounds like a heartwarming holiday.” Silver tells you. “I understand that you miss it. Are you going to celebrate it at Ramshackle Dorm?”
You say you could do it, but since Christmas isn't a holiday in Twisted Wonderland it's hard to find decorations. And even though you like Grim and the ghosts you'd still feel a little sad that there are so few people.
“I understand. I also always celebrated my birthdays and holidays with few people. Usually it was just me, Father and Malleus. Then Sebek and his family started joining us. And now I have had the opportunity to celebrate certain dates at this school with new people and you. I can see how difficult it will be to have so few people with you again after these experiences.”
You ask if he's also going to spend the winter break with few people.
“Probably with the same people, I believe. Most of the days should be spent with Father and once or twice we should go to see Sebek and his family. Malleus must also come for a visit.” He smiles, looking into space. “I wonder what it would be like if you were with us.”
You smile and look at him hopefully.
“Hmm? Would you like to spend winter break with us? But wouldn't that interfere with your holiday?”
You explain that no, that Christmas can be celebrated in any home. And you also wouldn't mind not celebrating it that year.
“Please don't say that. Your culture should be celebrated if it means that much to you. Especially such a merry holiday.” He thinks for a moment. “You say this Christmas can be celebrated in any home.” He smiles again. “Now that I think about it, there's someone in that house who would love to experience a completely new holiday. In that case, would you like to join us this year?”
You accept the invitation and the two of you end up agreeing that you and Grim would spend the winter break at Silver and Lilia's house in Briar Valley.
But before that day arrived, you ended up slipping on the ice that had formed in Ramshackle Dorm's backyard and breaking your ankle. Grim was very worried but followed your instructions to go and get someone from the infirmary. But halfway there he saw Silver sleeping at the foot of a tree and went to wake him up.
“SILVER! SILVEEER!”
Silver wakes up, not because Grim spoke loudly but because of the urgency in his voice.
“Grim? What happened?”
“(Y/N)! They slipped on the ice and are in a lot of pain and their ankle is swollen!”
“What? Did they sprain their ankle? No! Tthat doesn't matter now. You go tell the infirmary, I'll go get (Y/N).”
“(Y/N)!” You hear Silver shout as he runs towards you.
He didn't stop to ask if you were okay. He could see from the poor condition of your ankle that it was a serious fracture. As soon as he got close to you he immediately knelt down and picked you up in his arms. He had that serious expression that would probably turn anyone away.
He didn't run because that could hurt your ankle even more, but he walked as fast as he could, which in itself was faster than most people walk. He also carried you in his arms as easily as if you weighed nothing, but with the same care as if you were something of inestimable value.
When you arrived at the infirmary, Grim and the nurse were already waiting for you. Silver carefully placed you on the bed and he and Grim left for the nurse to examine you and take care of you. He almost had to take Grim with him by force because he wanted to be with you so much.
After the nurse takes care of you and puts the cast on your ankle, you can receive visitors. Silver and Grim return and Grim immediately jumps into your lap. Silver stands beside you as if guarding you.
“Don't worry, I took care of that ice for you.” Grim tells you after you calm him down and tell him you were fine now.
“After nearly burning down Ramshackle Dorm by melting the ice with his fire breath and magic.”
“Collateral damage. But I didn't burn down the dorm, it's fine.”
“Because we protect the dorm with our magic.” Another familiar voice enters and approaches you. “Khee hee hee, it was a fun exercise. How are you (Y/N)?”
You tell Lilia that you are okay now, but you remember that the next day you would go with them to Briar Valley.
“I really wanted to go with you guys.”
“What do you mean by ‘wanted’ you don't want anymore?” Lilia messes with you. “And why did you think you could no longer come with us? It's not like your ankle is a problem. I'm sure Silver will be happy to carry you around if necessary. Khee hee.”
Silver blushes slightly, but smiles in agreement.
“Grim and I can take care of the decorations. And I'm sure Sebek and Malleus would love to help too. Unless...” Lilia makes a dramatic heartbroken face. “...you broke your ankle to get rid of us. *sniff*”
You laugh and guarantee that you didn't do it on purpose to hurt yourself.
“So be prepared to be well tomorrow so we can go, okay?”
“Have you already packed your bags?” Silver asks you. “If not, I can do it for you. Just tell me what you need and I'll get it all ready. And if there's anything else you need to do, just let me know. I'll take care of everything for you.”
“And I can babysitter Grim on the meanwhile.” Lilia laughs as Grim complains about not being a baby to need a babysitter.
When they are about to leave, you ask Silver to stay just a little longer. Lilia takes Grim with him and leaves Silver behind with you.
You share with him that you don't want to be a burden to them. You don't feel right about having him and Lilia as your personal nurses while they should be enjoying their winter break.
“You would never be a burden.” Silver assures you. “We will be happy to help you with your recovery and having you with us at this time of year. Besides, I could never leave you alone here with an ankle to take care of. I know Grim and the ghosts would help you with whatever you needed but... I want to be there for you. I want to be someone you can count on. So please don't feel like you are asking or receiving to much from us. I would do this and more for you.”
He kisses your forehead and then smiles sweetly at you.

Tribute
I laughed almost non-stop watching Deadpool & Wolverine. The crass and gross and the ridiculous are mixed in with just a bit of clever. And then there's the pure joy of watching to almost indestructible dudes killing each other in violent ways (it's a WB cartoon kind of fun).
But as always it's the layer below the humour that really hits. And in a prefect Deadpool way this one worked both in the movie but also on the meta level. It's the story of a failed superhero that the Avengers didn't want and whose girlfriend left. Here trying to save his world to save his friends. He gets a second chance at being who he always wanted to be but the price is abandoning everyone he came up with. MCU and Sacred Timeline is one person deal. But this is where Multiverse pays off. It means he can keep his friends and timeline. He just has to fight cybernocracy that would rather dismantle it instantly first.
And it's a story of a fallen studio which movies lost the audience and couldn't find the right way to tell it's stories (with extra layer of Disney's Marvel being on precipice of that too now). All it's properties buried and replaced for a new shinier thing. We could move on and only acknowledge the pieces that haven't been tarnished. And yet, this movie looks back at it all, and brings back the discarded ridiculed. Including the ones we never even got. Using Void to discard them and Alioth to eat them into oblivion is such a prefect metaphor you'd think it was invented for this Film. It's a prefect integration of MCU ideas for the plot of this one story.
The whole movie is practically a tribute to the early days of Marvel and superhero movies that created the momentum that MCU then built it's 30 billion empire on. This is what makes each cameo count. It isn't there just for a joke or Easter Egg moment but it ties to the theme of the story, We are revisiting the forgotten heroes, the fallen ones, the ones who never got to be. And if we are lucky the ones who still might be (please, please let us keep Daphne Keen).
It's also a reminder of how long both Jackman and Reynolds have been in this. The first X-Men movie came out 24 years ago. Reynolds was in Blade: Trinity 20 years ago. I don't think it's an accident a lot of those cameos went to the beginnings with Pyro and Electra. And even with the MCU actors reminding us they started in Fox as Evans came back as Johnny Storm. Even Jon Favreau cameo as Happy Hogan was a reminder he was once Foggy Nelson in Daredevil. This was reunion movie in more ways than one.
And the behind the scenes of those movies, the whole history of Fox Marvel films really hit you in the end. Even the failures like the last Fantastic Four. Even to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the Deadpool abomination there. This is what got us here. This is for all the fun we had over the years with these characters and superheroes in general. This was the start.
Of course, Deadpool wouldn't be Deadpool if they didn't desecrate and made fun of the very thing they were paying tribute too. Both the initial fight and any reference to Fox made sure of that. Reminding us that even the best parts of the past shouldn't be sacred. You should build new stories and not be afraid to change. There will be new Blade. And a new Johnny Storm. And maybe a new Deadpool and Wolverine one day too (long, long time from now apparently 😋).
And new universes give you new opportunities to meet people. Maybe even find a romance like B-15 and Peter. Or become a villain. I'm not sure how I feel about the Doom Announcement but let's see. This movie reminded us it's just one more "same face - different person" case in this multiverse.

Right Place, Right Time (last pt. LN)
pt. 1, pt. 2, pt. 3, pt. 4
@seasonswinter @drdbnkl2008 @jaematthews15
this is the longest one bc i needed to finish before i go on vacation :)
To say things were not going well was an understatement. On the outside it seemed like you were holding it together but on the inside you were barely staying afloat. You were going out less with your friends, keeping more to yourself at work, and drinking more. You'd watched both of the races since Austin, secretly happy to see that Lando was finishing outside of the top 5 both times. You had been staying off social media but one of your friends had let it slip that he had been fined a bunch for refusing to speak to media after both races.
You'd facetimed Lily a couple of times and she never brought him up but could tell that you were still sad about the situation. She still insisted you come to Vegas and you promised that you were still coming.
Lily was worried about both you and Lando. He was miserable, Oscar talked about it all the time. Moody in team meetings and refusing to hang out with anyone besides Max Fewtrell occasionally. She was a romantic, so she was hoping that you two would make up in Vegas and it would all magically work out in the end. There was one step already in motion that you were just about to tell her.
"So I have some news," you said over the phone, mindlessly picking at your nails. "And am hoping for some advice."
"Okay...what's up?" She said.
"So you know how I was telling you last week about being nervous for this meeting with my boss and her boss?"
"Yeah, what happened?"
"They offered me a new job." Lily squealed.
"That's so exciting, congratulations," she said. "I haven't necessarily accepted it yet," you said.
"Why not?" "The role would be managing the EMEA partner team, meaning I would have to move to the UK," you said and she was silent for a second.
"Oh," she finally said.
"Oh is right," you said sighing. "It's a great career opportunity but with where things stand with Lando I'm not sure if it's a good idea."
"I mean would you really be around him that much?"
"I guess not really but we'd still cross paths a lot."
"Hmm have you talked to him since October?"
"Nope."
"Maybe you guys should talk next week?," she suggested.
You actually had been planning on doing that, trying to make up and see if you could repair what happened but then your friends showed you some tabloid pictures, you changed your mind. You tried to not pay attention to any F1 gossip but you'd gone down a rabbit hole when it was reported that Lando was with a blonde girl while with Max F on a golf trip. Your suspicions were confirmed when you saw a pic him with her in his car. At first you cried for a good couple of hours and then you were livid. He's the one that was sooo into you.
"I don't think so," you said simply. "He's already moved on so it doesn't really matter."
"Well I think you should still take the job, don't let him take away something good."
--------- Vegas GP week, Friday -------------
You walked into the paddock with confidence radiating from you. You actually had passes for Red Bull's garage for the weekend thanks to Max but you thought it would be a bad look professionally to rep their merch so you had a cute Ferrari jacket in case you were cold.
"Ahh hermosa, did you wear that for me?" You laughed pulling Carlos into a hug. "Looks like you stole those jeans from Charles' closet though."
"I missed you buddy," you said and he smiled, throwing his arm around you as you walked through.
"I missed you too, not as bad as someone else though," he said and you stopped walking, crossing your arms over your chest.
"His new company seems to suit him just fine," you said and Carlos raised his eyebrows.
"Y/n I don-," you cut him off.
"I don't want to talk about him," you said and he nodded.
Speaking of the literal devil, your steps faltered as you saw him staring at you from across the path, ignoring the reporter trying to get his attention. He started to step towards you and Carlos but you watched Carlos shake his head and he stopped moving, looking deflated. You kept your eyes forward and let Carlos guide you towards Red Bull.
"Schatje!"
You smiled widely as Max picked you up twirling you around.
"I'm actually very upset with you," he said once he put you down and you looked at him quizzically.
"You're moving closer to me and you didn't say anything," he said and you nodded.
"You're moving?" Carlos asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I got promoted to oversee all of our European partnerships so i'll be heading to the land of the British next month," you told him and he grinned.
"Congrats y/n, you deserve it." He said.
"Does Lando know?" Max asked.
"No, and I would prefer to keep it that way," you said firmly. Both boys nodded but gave each other a look. Carlos had to head back to Ferrari so you and Max headed into the garage. You watched his and Checo's practice session and then headed towards hospitality for lunch. Max walked you up there but then beckoned Daniel over to you.
"I have to go to a debrief but Daniel will keep you company," he told you and you rolled your eyes.
"I don't need a babysitter Max," you grumbled.
"We have a united front," he said before leaving you.
You didn't realize what he meant until later when it seemed like you had spent the day being passed from driver to driver keeping you away from anyone wearing Papaya. At one point you sat in silence with Fernando drinking coffee, both feeling awkward but it paid off. Lando had ended up in the same area and he saw his chance but Fernando abruptly stood up and Lando quickly turned on his heel.
At the end of the day you waited in the parking lot for Lily and squealed when you saw her and Oscar walking towards you. You gave her a big hug before moving to give Oscar one. When he pulled away he kept his arms on your shoulders shaking you.
"I am begging you y/n, please talk to him," he said. "I am going to kill him or myself by the end of this weekend if he doesn't stop."
"Just tell him to leave me alone," you said sourly and Oscar sighed. Lily slipped her arms through yours and you headed towards your car.
"I know you're with RB for the weekend but will you please keep me company tomorrow during qualifying?" Lily asked. You thought about it for a minute before agreeing.
The three of you piled into Oscar's car and drove you to the strip to find someplace for dinner. You got seated quickly at a nice restaurant thanks to Oscar's status and you had just opened the menu when someone slid into the 4th seat, across from you.
"Lando," Oscar said and you groaned.
"What?" He asked innocently. "I want to have dinner with my teammate, is that a crime?" You huffed and Lily gave you a sympathetic look.
"Nice jacket," he said causing you to finally meet your eyes. His expression was neutral and you kept yours the same.
"Thanks, it was a gift from Carlos," you replied.
"Lovely," he muttered looking down at his menu. "How have you been?"
"Fine."
"Good, good," he said awkwardly.
Oscar luckily jumped in at that point to take over the conversation. Lando kept trying to catch your eye but you refused to look at him and you could see him growing more frustrated. The waiter came back at the end asking how you guys wanted to split the check and Lando quickly motioned that the two of you were on one and Lily and Oscar on another. You huffed crossing your arms.
The four of you headed out of the restaurant, Lando close behind you.
"Ride with me back?" He asked hopefully.
"Absolutely not," you replied and he sighed.
"Are you going to keep avoiding me the rest of the weekend?" He asked.
"Hopefully for the rest of eternity," you said back.
"Baby please," he said and you whirled on him bringing your finger up to point.
"You don't get to call me that," you seethed and he gave you those sad puppy dog eyes. You caught up with Lily who didn't press about the situation, simply squeezing your hand in support.
----- Qualifying --------
You got to the McLaren garage early the next day to find Lily and unfortunately she was not the first person you saw.
"Come to wish me luck?" Lando said as you walked in, grabbing your attention.
"I quite literally am praying that you are out in Q1," you replied and he frowned. One of his engineers laughed, covering it up with a cough and he shot them a look. You found Lily sitting with a headset on and you joined her. The first round went by fast, both boys making it into Q2.
Q2 was going fine to start but you noticed that some of the engineers jumped in scrambling with anxiety. You furrowed your eyebrows and looked up just in time to watch Lando slam into the wall on turn 14. You gasped and grabbed Lily's hand instinctively, your other one going to cover your mouth. You heard his engineer repeatedly ask over the radio if he was okay and you let out a massive sigh of relief when he groaned out that he was.
You watched as he pulled himself out of the car, holding his side. He disappeared with the stewards and you fiddled with your hands nervously.
"I need to get some air," you told Lily pulling off the headset and heading back outside.
You lingered outside of the medical tent for a little bit before finally deciding to walk in. You saw Lando lying on a bed, clearly in pain waiting on a doctor to come over. You made your way over to him slowly and he reached his hand out to you when he noticed. You slipped your hand in his, bringing the other to run your hand through his hair. The doctor came in and wanted to check Lando's ribs so you helped him pull his suits off. Lando squeezed your hand hard, face grimacing as they felt around his ribs.
They ended up deciding that nothing was broken, just bruised and you walked back to the garage with Lando ,your hand still in his. His team surrounded him as you got back and you squeezed his hand as a goodbye before going to find Lily again.
------- Race Day ----------
Lando's POV
Lando was waiting around for the driver's parade talking to Oscar when Max and Carlos walked up.
"How are you feeling?" Carlos asked.
"Meh, it still hurts but it's survivable," he replied and the guys nodded.
"Heard you had a visitor in the medical tent," Oscar said and Lando blushed.
"I was very surprised to see her," he admitted and Oscar grinned.
"Guess you'll be seeing a lot of her soon too," Max said and both Oscar and Carlos snapped their heads towards him. "Oh fuck."
"What are you talking about?" Lando said confused. All three of them refused to look at him. "Guys?" Oscar sighed.
"She got promoted at Monster and is going to be based out of the UK starting next month," he said and Lando was shocked moving angrily towards him.
"Why didn't anyone fucking tell me that?" He demanded and Carlos stepped in.
"She asked us not to man," he said and Lando slumped back.
"I shouldn't be telling you this because Lily would kill me," Oscar started. "But she was planning on telling you and seeing if you guys could work things out but then the pictures of you and Magui came out and yeah."
"What do you mean pictures?" He asked. "We're just friends, nothing happened."
"Look all I know is that she was really upset and then decided that she didn't want to fix things anymore."
Lando was stunned. He had been with Magui once, and it was in a group. It's not like he could control that those were the pictures that were posted.
Y/n's POV
The race came and went, Oscar securing the win and you were in their hotel room getting ready for the celebration with Lily. Right now you could see her and Oscar whispering to each other, him looking over at you multiple times. Finally Lily came over fidgeting in front of you.
"Spit it out Lil," you said while applying lip gloss in the mirror.
"First I want to say that I didn't mention this earlier because you didn't want to talk about him and then it just never felt like it was going to change anything but after seeing you yesterday and how you reacted I think you should know," she said and you nodded for her to go on. "Nothing happened with that girl. She's one of Max's girlfriend's friends and they were hanging out in a group. I know the pictures looked bad but they weren't really anything."
You looked at her trying to figure out what to say and she continued.
"I know you still care about him. And I know he hurt you but you know how badly he feels about that. So I'm not saying you have to give him a chance romantically but don't let gossip that's not even true hold you back."
"it was much easier when I thought it was true," you smiled sadly at her and she pulled me into a hug.
"You'll figure it out."
You guys showed up at the club a little later, heading to the VIP section where pretty much the whole grid was. Being in Vegas overshadowed having a bad race for sure. Lando was talking with Max and when his eyes met yours you knew that he knew about the job. It all clicked why Lily felt like she had to tell you now. You looked away from Lando quickly following Lily to get a drink.
The next hour the tension between you and Lando grew considerably. The small touch on your back as he moved past you, him catching you staring multiple times, him hovering near you constantly...
Eventually you followed Carlos and Lily down to the dance floor and lost track of Lando. Oscar joined you a little later and you had the most fun that you had all weekend. You soon felt two hands on your waist and were pulled back into someone's chest to dance. You looked up to see Lando holding you, moving you to the music. Eventually you turned around in his arms, wrapping one arm around his neck. You were staring intensely at each other before he leaned in to whisper in your ear.
"Can we talk?"
You nodded and let him pull you off the dance floor, heading back to your section. He found a quiet section in the corner and sat down in an armchair pulling you down to sit on his lap, his arms resting comfortably around your waist.
"This is how you want to talk," you teased and he smiled.
"Easier to hear you like this," he replied before settling into an awkward silence.
"I know-" "I know-" You both started and then stopped amused and he cleared his throat.
"Congratulations on your promotion," he said and you looked down rubbing circles on his arm with your thumb as you mumbled thanks.
"I'm not with that girl," Lando said and you looked back up at him. "She's just a friend."
"I wanted to tell you about the job," you blurted. "But I thought you had moved on because like you said 'you could get any girl you wanted'". He winced as you said this.
"I was upset, and I know it's not a good excuse but you were breaking my heart," he admitted. "Maybe I could get any girl I wanted but that wouldn't matter if I couldn't get you."
You felt butterflies in your stomach and you wrapped your arms around him, resting your head in his neck.
"I'm still going to be far away from you," you mumbled into him.
"A two-hour flight is nothing compared to fourteen," he said bringing a hand up to brush through your hair. "Plus it'd be easier during the season to come stay with you during the in betweens."
"I guess you're right," you agreed and he pulled your chin to look at him.
"I guess I am," he said before he leaned in connecting your lips. You deepened the kiss shifting to where you were straddling him, holding his face in both of your hands. You pulled back resting your head against his, both breathing hard.
"Please come back to my room with me," he begged and you laughed. "Funny business this time."
"You are so lame," you teased slipping off his lap.
"You love it," he said.
"I do," you reply bringing him in for one more short kiss.
The two of you moved out of the section and towards the door holding hands and you smiled as you caught Daniel looking from you to give Max a fist bump.

I haven’t seen anyone write ghost!reader helping the BAU solve her own case…like knocking things over to get their attention or play eerie songs to give hints😭
THIS IS SUCH A COOL IDEA??
--
For FBI specialists, these guys suck. They've spent 20 minutes looking through your bedroom, and not once have they gone through the shoes in your closet, where one is tucked carefully away with a blood-stained heel. You'd driven it into your killer's eye just before he'd stuck his own weapon into your stomach, and you'd watched him put it neatly away in its place as you bled out.
"Y'know, I think we are looking at victims of opportunity," A tall, lanky one muses, hair in messy waves down to his shoulders as his slender hands hold your journal that you're not too happy he's reading. "There's nothing in here that indicates any sort of high-risk lifestyle, or anything that connects Y/N to the other victims. I think she just had her window open, and that was enough."
"I think you're right, Reid. This doesn't exactly look 'high-risk' to me." Another speaks, the dark tone of his skin a stark contrast against the white button-up he's holding out from your closet.
"But there's still something missing," Reid hums, peering confusedly around the room, "I mean, the other victims lived miles away. So if these really are opportunity kills, this guy's driving across the country and perusing neighborhoods to kill? That's not very probable."
"No. There's something else," The bigger one agrees, kneeling by the stain of your blood against the carpet. You watch on from the corner of the room, waiting for him to tuck his fingers just beneath the edge of the bed and withdraw the token that had fallen there when your killer had flailed about in the loss of his eye.
He doesn't.
You groan with frustration, but neither of them hear it. You're tired of waiting, tired of watching, tired of hoping they crack the case. You lunge for the bed, sending a breeze against the bottom of the comforter and rippling it so that the coin is visible for a split second.
The bulky agent's eyes widen slightly at the unexplainable draft, his thick brows dipping in concern. But he's seen the shiny coin, and he lets out a tsk as he examines it.
"Morgan? What's wrong?" Reid glances over at him, "Is that-?"
"A train token," Morgan drawls, "'Guess we know how this guy's getting around."
"Where did you find that?"
"It was under the bed." Morgan recalls, "It was... weird. There was this little breeze, like- like someone moved the comforter. That's the only reason I saw it. Would've missed it otherwise."
Reid's eyebrows arch curiously, then a smirk slides over his lips, "Maybe it was a ghost."
"There's no such thing as ghosts, pretty boy." Morgan scoffs, standing up straight with the token in hand, "Let's go, we've gotta deliver the profile- ah!"
Before they can walk out the door, you grab the shoe from your closet, flinging it at Morgan's ankle in retaliation for his rather rude comment. He jumps nearly a foot in the air, looking down at your bloody heel in terror.
"That just- that just hit me! It flew out of the closet, and- no, man, I'm not doing this. Fuck- fuck this, I'm going back to the car."
"It's bloody," Reid crouches to examine the shoe, warily glancing at the closet it had flown from, "Go ahead, Morgan, I'll just be a second."
"That is why white people die in horror movies," Morgan spits, already beelining for the front door, "I don't fuck with ghosts!"
When he's gone, Reid is silent. He snaps pictures of the heel, only touching the mess after it's been sufficiently recorded. There's some obscene mush that rubs off onto his finger and he grimaces, inspecting the remains.
"It's an eye," He murmurs to himself, but you hear it from where you're crouched right beside him. He has a pretty face, Morgan wasn't lying. He peers curiously once more at the closet, and you slide yourself into his line of vision as if he can see you. It's refreshing to have someone look at you again, even if they don't know they are.
Reid stands, taking your heel with him. He digs a plastic bag out of his pocket and slides the heel inside, gloves stained the same unsettling color. He starts for the door, finished with his investigation, but he lingers just before he can exit your bedroom. You're standing just behind him, intent on walking the man out and watching him drive away.
He turns back, gaze aimed towards the closet that's no longer occupied by your supernatural throwing arm.
"Thank you," He speaks, "I believe you're real. And I hope this- uh, finishes your business here. I hope you get to rest soon."

Thinking about how happy Cass was when Steph became Robin because while she did agree with Bruce that Steph shouldn't be out on the streets fighting and it caused their first breakup, her issue was never against Steph as a person. If anyone didn't have a high enough level of fighting skill Cass would not want them in danger. But Steph kept stubbornly improving anyways and even though she might still not have been quite as good as Cass's anxiety would like, Bruce made her Robin which means Bruce must have changed his mind and now trusted Steph's potential and seen the same thing in her that made him take in Tim even though Cass doesn't fully understand that part yet. And Cass trusts Bruce so that's enough. Steph is happy Cass is happy they can spend time together which Cass loves and they don't have to fight anymore!
And then Steph gets fired and Barbara snaps at Cass and the next time Cass sees Steph she's so confused because why is she back in Spoiler gear now? Steph is Robin!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0b948c5157229ef823e497eca1d11c5c/1b06469df1a3338b-47/s640x960/7440976707e9ba8f5e4f14379ac794d039cb0cb6.jpg)
And even though Steph is going through emotional hell right now I think she understood there, the difference between Bruce and Cass. The way she didn't see back when they first fought. It's why she thanks Cass for her friendship even though it wasn't always smooth sailing. Even though she does have a right to be hurt and angry with Cass from before. Unlike Bruce, Cass isn't messing with Steph, jerking her around and treating her awfully for being a girl. She genuinely likes Steph and wants Steph to succeed and be a part of her life. Unlike so many other characters, she isn't unfairly biased against Steph. (She can be a jerk but she's an equal opportunity jerk. She'd treat any fighter on Steph's level the same, unless they have Bruce's approval in which case she'd trust the process. Doesn't make it fully OK but I think it's a nuance Steph appreciates in this scene.)
But then. But then. The next time they see each other war has broken out and Cass once again needs to step in and rescue Steph and.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0af16de1676da91cf058dcd90e08291c/1b06469df1a3338b-b7/s640x960/25d93ffa2e63d6e9968d8df9c9e1ee5b7cdea819.jpg)

It's the last conversation they have before Steph dies. She doesn't know Cass spent hours looking for her even in the middle of such a large turf war. She doesn't know how distracted Cass got, how passionate she was towards finding Steph even when Batman told her they couldn't afford it. She dies thinking Cass, while not viewing her like Bruce or Alfred does, still doesn't see Steph as an equal in any way that matters. And she's right! Cass loves Steph. Cass loves Steph more than she's loved any non family member in her entire life. Which doesn't change the fact that Cass does not think Steph should be out fighting, and she can only consider Steph an equal comrade when she's wearing the Robin uniform. Cass doesn't trust Steph's insistence that she's good enough, but she trusts Bruce's judgement. And Bruce is an asshole to Steph. Constantly.
They deserved to hash this out when Steph came back from the dead. Steph deserved to know how much Cass cared for her and she deserved to say exactly how Cass hurt her, no matter how good her intentions were. Cass deserved to tell Steph everything about how deeply the loss hurt her. And they both deserved the opportunity to agree on a second chance, to earn each other's full trust for once.
Anyways I'm having stephcass feelings tonight and I swear one day I will end up in the dc writers room and do... Well I'll do something to fix this that's for sure

*gets back on stage* Thank you, thank you, glad to be back on stage! *preps the mic*
ehem... So about this: let me explain it to the babies in this hellsite that still are too new to a/b/o - omegaverse dynamics.
You have probably seeing our favorite alpha4alpha duo going at each others necks like their lifes depend on it.
And even in their case this gesture is important due to, you guessed it: scent.
Yet, if you go through all their makeouts and nc scenes, there's no bite to be seeing. And that's because there's no use to it in their case. Let me explain why:
This whole gesture turns into a much intricate dynamic when we are talking about an alpha4omega relationship.
The neck is really significant in this "setting" due to the existence of "scent glands". Is basically an exaggeration on how, even in "normal humans", any type of smell is more powerful on the neck area due to the pulsing and warmth of blood, which helps the skin to maintain a smell for much longer. That's why we usually wear perfume on our necks. or why vampires always go to the neck but wrong bl to talk about that.
Now, onto this "scent glands": is what gives away the subgender of anyone just by one sniff. They are the reason why Babe got really happy after those couple of sniffs onto Charlie's neck.
But in their case, that's about as much use as they have. "You smell nice!", that's it.
With our favorite alpha4omega, AlanJeff and you can also attribute this to SonicNorth btw 👀, this area can take a much more importance. Why? Because of marking.
"Marking" in omegaverse is when an alpha "claims" an omega: is a deep bite to the neck area where the scent glands are located. Once an alpha marks an omega, the omega can mark that same alpha back, also claiming it. After you get marked, that's it, you are forever partnered unless one of them dies or the bond is somehow broken but let's not think about it now. Your scent even changes, letting everyone around you know not only that you have being marked, but also whom you belong to.
Now that you know this, my post saying that we are one little step away from this to happen is more clear: because y'all can't tell me that THIS:
isn't the face of an omega whoms being more than ready to be marked and claimed. Jeff has wanted this old man's teeth sunken on his neck since two lifetimes ago.
Because when this little shit said "I can't see anything when you touch me" is pure bullshit! I know, Jefferson, that by this point:
You already knew a bathroom nailing session was bound to happened and I'm trying to not going insane about the position of their heads, I BETTER SEE A BITE MARK DURING THE BATHTUB SCEEN AFTERWARDS.

YOU AIN'T SLICK hehe, JEFFREY, AND NEITHER IS ALAN. My old man is losing his mind for a reason, never instinct has hit him harder than now. Ma boi is ready to take the responsibility and the opportunity cannot come faster for the both of them.
So yeah, that's it. Nothing else to add.
GIVE US THE MARKING, YOU BRAVE COWARDS!!

Ekta Oracle: The Medicine; The mind; The Balance + The Knife
Celeste Astrokiff Oracle: The Ruin; Aquarius Upright; The Guide; Pluto Upright + Sagittarius Reversed
Original Tarot de Marseille: 2 of wands reversed; The World; Ace of wands; The Tower reversed; The Empress; 7 of swords + The Chariot
Botticelli Tarot de Marseille: 9 of swords reversed; 2 of pentacles; Queen of wands; Jack of swords; The fool reversed; Knight of pentacles reversed; 5 of swords + Queen of cups reversed
Lenormand Oracle: The cross; The Man; The whip; The storks; The mouses; The fox + The woman
Love Languages Oracles: The wickedness; The same wavelength; Destiny's key; News incoming + Happiness, joy & felicity

-> So this pile has a very strong message. There is a feeling that your future partner is currently healing from something very strong, something very powerful but mostly something very wicked. They could have had a sort of illness, they could have been the victim of someone, but there is a very bad energy there. The healing can be mental healing, seeing a therapist, or even medicine. For a lot of you, this person was mentally abused. It's a trauma that happened and they are healing currently. But it still hurt a lot to them. If you never met this person before, you could meet them during their healing process. This person could be an Aquarius or/ and has strong Pluto's placement in their chart. I see this person to really have their heart broken from what happened, they feel like their heart, even life, has been destroyed, my heart feels very heavy. They can appear as quite different, an outsider, or just someone who is unique, and people can not get them, or just think of them as the black sheep. Their healing will guide them towards a strong and meaningful transformation. But it's extremely hard for them.
I see something blocking them, or it was the case in the future. It's like they had a really big conflict, or they lived a situation with a lot of heavy blockages in their life. But it suddenly feels like things will get better, they will get through a healing phase and they will feel so much better afterwards. It's like their healing will push them to take new beginnings, new opportunities, new projects, they will just feel so much alive, it feels like their rebirth. The cards are saying, the reason why it happened was because it was meant to happen. There is always a reason for our tower moments in life. This one happened because your future partner needed to change. They needed healing, and may have not understand it before. The hard moments happened because they needed to learn a lesson, to transform themselves. I feel like this person used to be close-minded and very judgmental before, but with the healing phase, they will become open-minded, more generous and kind towards others. It's like they will open themselves to their feminine side. It was maybe unbalanced before. Cards are saying your person will be rewarded for their hard work in their healing phase, they will become more energetic, and more extroverted too.
I have messages about the two of you. I'm not sure you know this person, but I feel like it doesn't matter. You will enter this person's life to help them through their healing era. I sense this person will not be healed fully when you guys meet, but your presence, your help, just you will help them see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's like seeing you will motivate even more to heal. There is a sense of admiration towards you. You will motivate them to face the truth, and the healing. It will be extremely hard, but they know it's for the better. You will help them find a balance back in their life, it's truly destiny if you guys meet. You are their reward.
Pile 2 - ₊˚⊹♡
Ekta Oracle: The cup; The city; The bunny + The link
Celeste Astrokiff Oracle: 1st house; Capricorn; 4th house; 10th house; Saturn + Jupiter
Original Tarot de Marseille: Jack of wands; King of cups; Ace of swords; 4 of pentacles reversed; The moon reversed; 5 of pentacles reversed + The justice
Botticelli Tarot de Marseille: 3 of swords; The hierophant; 8 of pentacles; The sun; 7 of pentacles; 2 of pentacles + The star
Lenormand Oracle: The lucky charm; The house; The mask; The clouds; The letter; The ring + The fox
Love Languages Oracles: Past coming back; Good harvest; Setbacks; Destiny's Key + Fidelity

If you don't resonate with any of the piles, it just means there is no messages for you today. Don't take informations you are not comfortable with, and take care of yourself 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟
-> This person is someone who seems to be pretty established in life already. Someone who have their money, their place, they are independent. They work, they have their life and do not live with their parents anymore. There is a feeling of being the boss, owning their life. Ambitious person. Money is very important to them, they could invest a lot. They may live in a big city. A city where things are moving fast, people are always in a hurry, they could also be in a hurry all the time. I sense that for some of you, you know this person? There is a feeling of already knowing each other, or you guys will feel like you always knew each other. I think they can seem or be a bit selfish sometimes: their business, their life and even themselves are very important for them. They invest a lot of their times into themselves, but can seem selfish sometimes. Capricorn can be significant, 1st, 4th, 10th house too, Saturn and Jupiter too. I think this is a very lucky person. It feels like they succeed everything they do, or get everything they want. They are not good at manifesting, they are just very hard working. They see their legacy as the most important thing for them. This is why they work so hard. So accomplishing, and their career are soooo important to them. They appear as the real Daddy type (nothing s3xual lol), but there is this strong masculine and dominant energy.
Such a hard working person! They work so hard for what they do. Don't call them lazy because they will def take it as the worst thing you could ever say to them lmao. They have a cup to provide to you, this is the kind of mature person to offer you their cup, and offer you stability. A true King (because of the king of cups lol, nothing to do with gender). If success was a person, that would be them. They are so victorious. To be honest, I think this person didn't grow in money, and saw it as security. They worked hard because they may have been poor when growing up. For them, money was the answer to a happy life. But don't be mistaken, this person is not shallow haha. They are actually good at questioning himself. He doesn't think only him matters. They are well educated, and even went to college for sure. To them, they just want to be the most successful they can be, and want to be able to provide money for their loved one. They just work so hard for their money. And negotiating money could be a thing in their job. And signing contracts relating to money too. Their job can be very anxious at time. I think you will feel like, or already feel like if you know them, that this person has no time for you, and it may feel like that at times. They are so busy with their job and life, you just feel like a burden. But don't worry because this person will maker you feel like you belong with them. They will make sure to make you fit in their life.
Pile 3 - ₊˚⊹♡
Ekta Oracle: The knife; The feather; The books + The exchange
Celeste Astrokiff Oracle: Treason; The sun; Woman's star + Virgo
Original Tarot de Marseille: Jack of pentacles; 7 of wands; 9 of swords; Knight of swords; 2 of wands reversed; 7 of cups + The strength
Botticelli Tarot de Marseille: 6 of wands; Knight of swords; 2 of pentacles; 10 of swords reversed; Ace of cups; 4 of pentacles reversed + The devil
Lenormand Oracle: The tower; The sun; The mountain; The tree; The woman; The magnificent glass + The house
Love Languages Oracles: Total success; Passionate love; Setbacks; Break-up + Destiny's key
𓆞𓆝 𓆟 Don't forget that it's a general reading so take what resonates. If you don't resonate with this pile, you can choose another one. If you don't resonate with any of the piles, it just means there is no messages for you today. Don't take informations you are not comfortable with, and take care of yourself 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟
-> So, first of all, if you don't know this person, then it's not your pile. This pile feels so situation-ship, ex, or even friends with always something that has been going on. There is a vibe here of someone who hurt the other by text, or it's something that has been said, or something written (text, email, letter, etc.). But it was on purpose. So either you or this person wrote to the other person to tell them something, some piece of information that hurt the other. It could totally be intentional, or not, but it def hurt. If it was something someone posted online for ex for the other to see, it was still something that hurt, and it was a sort of information shared. You could totally be in a distant or no contact situation with this person. You or them felt like there was a betrayal.
But!! There is clarity. One of you see or finally realize that the other person is the one for them. You or them always wanted to be with you/ them (takes as it resonates). It's a sudden realization. Someone wants to come back to make things right. Someone thinks now is the best time to take actions, everything seem to be alined perfectly. Someone could have been like a seducer, before or been seen this way by the other person. Someone could have been blocked, or this person felt stuck before. Like they couldn't come forward. But now they know the other person is their person, and it's like they came to realization they want to marry them.
This person has thought a lot of what they want to say, and they are ready to come forward and defend their thoughts and actions. They won't give up easily. If you have been waiting for someone to come back into your life, this is huge sign. Or if you wanted to come back in someone's life. There will be communication, and the person who will come forward (you or them) will express how hard it was to be without the other person, and how cruel life has been. They will express that they are ready to give their cup. I'm not sure you guys ever been in a relationship before to be honest, it felt like to be in a relationship with them has never been experienced before. But they want to try, and they will express it when they come forward. They want to be with the other person. There are so much desire for each other, you guys can feel the pull towards each other. But there might be a lack of financial stability that can come in the way to each other. There is much love, it's very passionate for sure. The person needed time to realize they feelings, time apart each other only made them realized their love for the other person. This person wants to come forward and build a life with the other person. They want stability together.
Thank you so much fo reading, I hope you enjoyed, and don't forget to like (even comment your pile if you want) and follow for more content ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

ok i'm so terribly sorry to be saying this but i'm kind of ok with sorvus not becoming canon canon
i know we were pretty much all expecting something but it doesn't feel like we were robbed; it doesn't feel like we were teased or led along or, ahem, baited. the show absolutely knows what it has but it's not a case where they choose to ignore it and it's incredibly frustrating. something tdp is very good about is not fully committing to something big (ie rayllum proposal) but gives you enough to satisfy + enough to allow for more future exploration (ie rayllum in episode 5 [sorry i have to make everything about rayllum jk im not sorry]). they take every opportunity to show how much soren and corvus care about each other and their chemistry is an unstoppable force.
in addition to the fact that it is by zero means not not canon even if they're not exactly canon, i think it works with the story. even being the world's biggest shipper who cares about a show's relationships pretty much more than anything else, i low-key hate it when a million couples are thrown in your face at once, especially in finales where it's like "ok the day is saved everyone's found love!!! isn't that so great!!!!!! happy ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!" this was part of the reason i was a little put off by terry's existence in the very beginning because it was just like.... do we really need another couple? even if i didn't dislike their relationship. and that's also why i'm so happy with the way they turned out because i love it when there are relationships that just don't work out (unless i have any sort of attachment to the ship in that case fuck you they should have been together forever [but then again if it feels like the only reason a relationship ends is because the writers said so then i kind of consider that bad writing anyway]). in the case of sorvus, i certainly wouldn't have been opposed if they'd gotten together near the end (especially since rayllum, yk, were already together so it wouldn't have felt they were fighting for attention), but it feels kinda right that they didn't. rayllum is the main event whether you like it or not and i'm very glad that they stuck with that. it wouldn't have exactly been fair to sorvus either, would it?
and, of course, this leaves so much more opportunity for them. especially if we get arc 3, but either way there's no way we won't get something of their quest. so this way they get their own spotlight, and they get way more time to develop to that point (which is another reason i don't believe they should've gotten together in s7 because there was just too much going on and even though their relationship has gotten lots of time it still would've been like "oh! ok! they're together! ok! what's happening!")
at the end of the day they are 110% in love - we know that, tdp knows that, and we don't need to see them make out for it to click (just like s5-early s6 rayllum to harken back to that unavoidable comparison), even if it might've been nice

hey fam, welcome to the April 2024 roundup of the best hannigram fics i've read this past month! i read over 100 fics total, and these were the cream of the crop.
as a reminder: the ingredients for a five star rating typically (but not always!!) include some combination of a.) believable characterizations of both Hannibal and Will, b.) compelling plot and/or character arcs, and c.) high quality smut.
that being said, my judgment of the aforementioned ingredients is powered almost exclusively by vibes and as such, is incredibly subjective.
you can find past recs below:
February March
and if you have any recs of your own for me, PLEASE SHARE.
anyway, in no particular order, let's go!
~
A place you can never go by det395
Word Count: 84,596 Summary: When things don’t go according to plan, Hannibal makes a wish. He finds himself a year-and-a-half in the past and seemingly given another chance with Will. His feelings about the situation only get more complicated when he realizes he may not have completely lost access to his old timeline after all. A Digestivo canon divergence.
If you follow me, you probably saw me already raving about this fic. This was so fucking good, holy fucking shit. And also heartbreaking. Made me think a lot about the nature of reality and what does it mean for something to be "real." Plus, I really love fics that explore their shared mind palace because I genuinely think that is one of the more underexplored aspects of their relationship. Definitely heavy on the angst, but there is a happy ending!
even though our love is doomed by bleakmidwinter
Word Count: 82,427 Summary: Hannibal solves the mystery of time travel and he and Will decide to go into the past and take opportunities previously missed along with rewriting the regrets they each hold. Changing the past does not effect the future and they have free reign to play as the please.
GIVE ME MORE THAN FIVE STARS PLEASE. I am obsessed with this fic. I've mostly stayed clear of time travel fics (aside from, you know, the one right above this) because the execution can be hit or miss, but let me fucking tell you. This was a god damn home run. There's a little bit of angst, but then there's also a chapter where Will challenges Hannibal that he wouldn't have been able to seduce him while Will was still working in Louisiana fixing boat motors. And obviously Hannibal decides to take that challenge.
Railroad Romance by OneWhoSitsWithTurtles
Word Count: 12,400 Summary: Hannibal is still Hannibal, and Will is still Will. Except Will is not part of the FBI and they meet on a two day train trip from New Orleans to Baltimore.
Dirty. Talk. In. FRENCH. Holy shit. Okay this was excellent. EXCELLENT. Perfect characterizations, and wonderful dialogue. Wow. Also, I love trains. Who doesn't love trains?
patroclus in furs by bleakmidwinter
Word Count: 130,185 Summary: If Will and Hannibal hadn't gone into their respective careers, they would have become porn stars.
I had my doubts about a pornstar AU, but I've really enjoyed everything else by this author and it was over 100k, so I gave it a shot! And WOW. The characterizations of both Will and Hannibal were spot on and believable. A good mix of fluff and angst, and the author clearly put a lot of thought into the porn scenes. Tbh I'm probably going to reread this shortly.
Pavlova by nbcravenstag
Word Count: 33,369 Summary: It’s not like Hannibal didn’t know that Will was hiding something. It was after the third body drop a week ago that it became clear that Will had a secret that somehow involved the case, one he wasn’t willing to share yet, not even with Hannibal. At 6:43 AM, Will had texted Hannibal that a fourth body had been found and that he was on his way to the scene with Jack. At 8:06 PM, Will had stepped into Hannibal’s office, thirty-six minutes past his appointment time, and practically shouted “I used to be a stripper!” as loudly as his hoarse voice would allow him to. Hannibal Lecter, though not phased by much in life, has never been entirely able to predict Will Graham, but this is just… getting out of control. Alternatively, the FBI is hunting a serial killer targeting male strippers, and Will decides to throw himself into the fray. Hannibal is beyond pleased.
An AU where Will was a stripper in college and now he's working a case where he can be live bait as a stripper? Shut the fuck up. Mostly told from Hannibal's perspective, and it's just *chefs kiss*. Who knew Will giving Hannibal a lap dance would be so HOT. (I could have guessed.)
Lessons In Submission by wyldefire
Word Count: 5,173 Summary: Hannibal was stubborn, independent, and Will had always loved that about him, but there were times, times like these, in the midst of heat, in the midst of such a thorough breeding, when lessons in submission were necessary.
My only thought at the end of this was, "Shut the whole fuck up" in the best way possible. Smut. Just all smut.
A Very Special Guest by LesBeanBurrito
Word Count: 56,660 Summary: Season 1 AU in which Will stays for Hannibal’s dinner party after bringing the bottle of wine at the end of 1X07 Sorbet. Embarrassed and Sassy Will Graham meets Smitten Hannibal Lecter.
I LOVE a good season 1 AU and this was checking all of the boxes for me! There's a secret relationship, Hannibal actually gets Will treated for his encephalitis, Will finds out about Hannibal, etc. Very much loved the plot, and the characterizations were spot on.
lover to your nightmare (look what you made of me) by merrythoughts and ReallyMissCoffee
Word Count: 123,367 Summary: Driving back home, it’s then he reflects on Hannibal asking him to run away that night. To forgo their plans altogether, to slip away. [Canon divergent. Will confesses his betrayal and asks Hannibal to run away with him, but Will has a plan of his own...]
You want dark! Will mixed in with some incredibly jealous and possessive Hannigram? Hooo boy do I have a fic for you! The ending was a little abrupt, but it was the perfect mix of gut-wrenching angst and toxicity + smoking hot smut. I genuinely had to stop and focus on my breathing more than once.

This was such a fun read – I love the implication that hannigram fanfiction exists and it's all there for Will to accidentally discover. I adore this author and just thoroughly enjoyed how Will learned a thing or two about himself by reading smutty fics (same dude).
Golden Promises by shotgun_sinner

This was fluffier than I typically read, but I told y'all I love this author. Pretty much no angst, and the smut, as always, was next level. Also, the idea that Hannibal would wear a solid gold butt plug to his dinner parties had me laughing before I even started reading.
What Hatches by HotMolasses (@snazzymolasses here on tumblr)
Word Count: 107,847 Summary: There is a village, nestled on the edge of an ancient forest where it is always winter. Few of the townsfolk ever venture into it, except for one lonely hunter named Will Graham. A loner who makes his living selling stag meat and spends more time with dogs than people, he finds his life changing when he comes face-to-face with a magical beast, one that he cannot get away from, and isn’t even sure he really wants to.
What started out as a curiosity about the monsterfucking tag on AO3 brought me to one of the most unique and interesting hannigram AUs I've read??? I'm as surprised as you are, if not more. I adored this fic and I loved how both Will and Hannibal were characterized and the plot and the smut (oh my god, the smut) and the ending? Phew. Go read this.
lay like a flood spills away by bleakmidwinter
Word Count: 35,733 Summary: Will starts going to a nude beach that happens to be for gay men, even though he considers himself straight.
This was highly enjoyable. I LOVE AUs that manage to keep the characters true to canon. Also nude beaches. Hannigram and nude beaches. Eating ass and public sex with some actual plot sprinkled in. Say LESS.
Now, What Should We Do Next? by HigherMagic
Word Count: 51,116 Summary: Kinktober 2018
Smut. All smut. I showed this fic to a friend who has literally never read fanfiction, let alone Hannigram, before and she is now hooked. So. Do with that what you will. And it's so clear that this author has actual, real-life experience with kink and it comes across so well! Bonus point: there is also an equally good sequel.
To Mend With Gold by beforethedawn, ConstructFairytales, Destinyawakened
Word Count: 98,863 Summary: Will and Hannibal have been living as a gay married couple for three years, but they haven't slept in the same room let alone the same bed. Will Graham has a reckoning, one way or another.
THIS WAS TENDER. Fluffy, angsty, smutty, I loved it. Molly showed up with Will's dogs and decided she wasn't going to turn them in, which was a little weird, but I really loved this fic. Just them learning how to be with each other. Also EXCELLENT marathon smut scenes. Like yesssss, of course they can each cum like three times in a row.
A Clutch at Balance by Deverauxs_Disease
Word Count: 25,466 Summary: When Will Graham storms into Hannibal's house muttering about kissing Alana Bloom, the good doctor makes Will an offer: Pretend to date Hannibal in order to prove to Alana that Will is not only stable but capable of being in a relationship. When Alana is convinced Will is the man of her dreams, Hannibal will step aside and Will can get his girl.
Y'all know I love fake dating that all of a sudden, whoops! Isn't so fake anymore! Sprinkle in some jealous and possessive Hanni and Will? I'm sold. Say less.

My Favorite QL Lines of 2024 💖✨
Welcome to Babyangelsky's 2024 Wrap Up! To commemorate my second year of watching QL dramas, and my first year of actually talking on my blog, I've compiled a series of lists to celebrate all the QL things I loved this year!
Please feel free to take my categories and make lists of your own and tag me in them if you do!
💜 All the lists can be found here! 💜
There are two things that will make a line or piece of dialogue stand out to me: the words themselves or the delivery. Sometimes it's only one of those things and sometimes it's both. When it's both? That line is going to stick in my brain for all eternity.
♡ From: Unknown
Listen. Listen. This wasn't just my favorite line of the year, it's one of my favorite lines in any piece of media I've consumed ever. EVER. IN MY WHOLE LIFE. It dethroned my former favorite BL line with the devastating force of a thousand suns. The longing and the love and the horniness are unspeakable and immaculate. Qian is going to hear those words echoing in his head for as long as he lives and so am I.
♡ From: Unknown
Another one from Unknown, which started us off so strong this year that it immediately became of one my favorite BLs. Yuan was just so reassuring and comforting in this scene. He's always been Qian's light and he will continue to be and that makes me so happy.
♡ From: Mr. Mitsuya's Planned Feeding
I just really liked the delivery of this one. I also appreciate someone who appreciates a good expression. If Ishida wasn't so completely gone for Mitsuya-sensei, I bet Noguchi would show him a good time.
♡ From: Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo
*the sound of pained wailing comes from over in the corner*
♡ From: Kidnap
Was Kidnap a deeply unserious cotton candy show? Yes and I'm not here to tell you otherwise. But one thing it handled really well was Q's journey toward healing, which is a rare and lovely thing to see. This line and this moment were a part of that journey. Even though Q may still have nightmares sometimes, he knows he's no longer alone and that he has the tools and the support to help himself through.
♡ From: Love Sea
IT WAS HOT. THAT'S IT THAT'S MY REASONING, IT WAS THE HOTTEST THING MAHASAMUT SAID THE ENTIRE SHOW.
♡ From: Our Youth
*screams into one of those couch pillows*
The second I heard this line I thought to myself "Oh. This show is gonna be one of those." AND IT IS. The way Haruki's voice drops to a raspy whisper? The way the scene is silent except for the very soft sound coming from the TV? The way they're just so aware of each other?
*screams again*
♡ From: The Loyal Pin
This is my favorite line in Anin's confession monologue but the entire thing is beautiful and it's delivered beautifully by Becky. She's expressing so much and there's so much desperation and love and frustration in every little quiver of her voice. It's spectacular.
♡ From: Love Sea
And this was the realest and the pettiest and bitchiest thing he said the entire show, and for that I am deeply grateful. I hope to one day have the opportunity to say this about someone. Character of all time.
♡ From: Cherry Magic (Th)
I think it screams speaks for itself really.
♡ From: Jack & Joker
*more pained wailing comes from over in the corner*

Yes yes yes, it's technically a bromance whatever but it's a BL to ME and I used up all my restraint not adding them to the couples list.
This is very far from being the most unhinged thing that Saint has ever said to Shin but it was so earnest and there was so much love and he endured so much pain so Shin wouldn't have to and they just have my whole heart. They love each other so much and this hug meant so much.

I've written about this line before but it deserves to be talked about again because I still think about it all the time. It's one of those cases where it isn't so much the actual words that stuck in my brain, but the delivery. The cadence and the tone and the emotion. This was a spectacular performance from Liu Dong Qin and he deserves all the praise in the world for it.
I really hope we get that second season 🥲

This is me watching these shows. I feel seen and represented by this line and I've used it very often as a reaction image.

I HAVE STILL NOT RECOVERED FROM THE "PHI" I WILL NEVER GET OVER THE "PHI" I WILL SCREAM ABOUT THE "PHI" FOR THE NEXT THOUSAND YEARS.
♡ From: Our Youth
I was actually just going to include the kiss line in this list but THEN HARUKI HIT ME WITH THIS STEEL CHAIR AND LEFT ME SCREAMING ON THE GROUND ON A TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
It's the delivery and the words and the utter SILENCE and the tension simmering beneath it all and just--
Exquisite. It's exquisite.
♡ From: Love for Love's Sake
The sheer earnestness of this line. The disarmingly sweet expression on Yeo Woon's face. The very cute, very subtle little pout. I love everything that's happening in this scene. Absolutely everything.

Not just this line specifically, but Pie's entire confession, which was one of the best and most earnest confessions we got all year. So much so that it's almost a crime that he and Ozone weren't the main couple. Even though there weren't many people who watched this show, everyone deserves to experience this confession in its entirety so allow me to transcribe it:
"What do you want me to say? You want me to say that...I have inappropriate thoughts about you? That I care about every little thing you do? To say that...I don't know when I started liking you? To say that, in Chiang Mai, I couldn't control my heartbeat when I was with you? Or to say that when you were with Min, I couldn't help but feel jealous? To say that at my nephew's wedding, I couldn't resist stealing a kiss from you? I don't want to complicate things. I don't want to get involved with you. I don't want to love you. But I also want you to stay with me."
