I will die on this hill that Kremy has big forearms like an actual chef would. He’s been cooking for YEARS so he was bound to develop at least a little bit of muscle. Maybe Gideon was a little starstruck the first time he saw him with his sleeves rolled up (It’s never lost its magic though).

Gideon had to relearn to ask for things, suggest things, say no to things, and even do certain things without permission or being told to do it.

After a few weeks of sitting and doing nothing whenever him and Kremy were done traveling or conning for the day, Kremy nearly begged him to do *something*, "read a book, skip rocks, I don't care, just stop staring at me for instructions!"

He started tinkering with what little tools Kremy had on him, and discovered he actually quite liked working on things. Upgraded his manacles, fixed up some of Kremy's broken items, he even liked making little paracord bracelets.

It was the beginning of his journey to relearning autonomy. He doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to, and he can indulge in things he likes to do.

„I love the way men love“ what if Gideon takes such care in his appearance because of his pa always at least brushing his beard and hair every morning (they would do it together in the mornings) and Kremy, his closest friend after getting free from the hobgoblins, also takes care in his appearance and knows that Kremy‘s fussing over his friends is his way of showing love (doesn’t everyone like to look nice?) and Gricko likes to teach Hootsie things by way of example so he and Hootsie get ready together in the mornings (like from his time in his tribe and the carnival where they first met) and Frost likes to stay clean because the robes he got are so valuable to him that if they get dirty he immediately feels like he got punched in the gut from disrespecting his old master (also having dirt and mud dry in his fur and joints makes for the worst feeling in the mornings) and Torbek after the horrible trauma of never being able to get clean and stay that way loves doing self care and taking showers and baths (cleanliness is a way to take back his own autonomy and show that he can do whatever he wants forever) and this all culminates in everyone when they wake up crowding together and helping each other get ready as a way to show that „I’m here you’re here I care for both yours and my own health and cleanliness, here let me help you with that“ and- I‘M NOT CYRING YOUR CRYING *distraught sobbing*

btw while I’m still being annoying, my favorite example to bring up in the “hygiene products that you can just pick up off the shelf at the store can have KNOWN carcinogens in them” conversation is coal tar. This one’s still crazy to me. I love Amy's Choice and I love The Day of the Doctor Novelization, but something that only clicked for me recently — is that the reason the Eleventh Doctor is able to instantly recognize and brush past the Dream Lord when he appears — is because for as long as he's had this body, he's been hallucinating the War Doctor’s voice taunting him in a very similar way (minus all the jokes).

Of course at the end of Amy's Choice, the Doctor sees the Dream Lord reflected in the console, looks distressed, and says nothing, and I just. I love how Moffat used that novelization to flesh out so many different elements he included in his run.

The Krew works out together, usually honing a particular skill that they wish to work on (agility, weight lifting, defensive maneuvers, etc). Gideon is always extremely excited about it, and as the only one who's actually into fitness, he likes to hype up everyone especially when they beat their PB.

He'd never admit it but seeing Gideon happy is the reason Kremy actually gives a shit rather than phoning it in. The rest, while it's a bit of a struggle, do enjoy having a skill to get them out of a bind.

Hootsie gets put in a little coach outfit too, she's not helping really but isn't she cute???
