I enjoy “other people in Mogamiland” fics sometimes but I think Mogami would probably only do what he did with Mob. Maybe Ritsu but it seems like a bit of a stretch?

Mogami doesn't really see people as people; he sees them as either helpless victims or irredeemable criminals, and he sees himself as a victim who was able to transcend his helplessness in order to punish the evildoers. and he sees Mob--a child with immense psychic powers and a naive worldview--as someone who is also doomed to become a tragic victim but has the potential to follow the path of vengeance and "make the world a better place" in the same way Mogami is. He traps Mob in Mogamiland because he's trying to make him speedrun his own experience of disillusionment with the world, but he only does this because he sees Mob as a kindred spirit. He wouldn't do it for anyone else.

oh yeah no i haven't really talked about those Important Things yet! mostly because i'm still solidifying how they work in my mind... i try my best to adhere to canon, since to me aus are an exploration of the source / characters, so... its still tenuous. i have to think and consider and run parallel - there's a balance i'm still trying to find

like The Pit™️ (the spiral/eye void under Home) in Lights Out is gonna be different from the canon one since i started thinking about the au before the update. and the update changed my perception / theories on what the void is! but the au Pit™️ needs to remain mostly the way it originally was, or a lot of "plot" points fall apart

We have 69 ships (after prelims), so we'll have to do more preliminaries to whittle it down to 64. Confession: this is actually my first time actually playing DA:I. Most of my knowledge beforehand came from playing DA2 so much and tumblr. And since I’ve been playing for a couple days, I just gotta say….

I think I’m growing to genuinely hate this game.

The approval rating is just “we’re gonna make it SEEM like it matters if they like you or not. No benefits if you max out friendship or rivalry, and you have no simple way to tell if you’re friends or if they just tolerate you because glowy hand needed.

The overwhelming fucking side quests. I wanna get to the plot shot but I cannot bring myself to further the plot when I’ve got an ungodly amount of side quests, but no matter what I do I somehow keep getting more.

Big scary hole in the sky is cool, but I honestly prefer Dragon Age 2s story where it’s about everyone’s personal story where they just end up involved in crucial things by chance, because they managed to garner attention and can’t say no. I liked the smaller map, even if it was constantly reusing dungeons, I liked that no matter what Hawke has a personality. A CONSISTENT personality that you could mold to be sarcastic, diplomatic, or mean.

My inquisitor feels like she’s got less personality than a stale piece of toast, and a lot of the flirting comments don’t even feel flirty?? It’s just (in monotone voice) “I’m glad you’re here”

I’m glad I can play other races, but I picked an an elf because I thought “Dalish mage sounds fun and like you’ll get good lore, and I can bond with the other elves over being elven” but even the other elves hate the dalish!!

The companions barely speak to each other while ruining across a map. I miss the constant banter between my motley group that we’re friends and rivals that respected each other. They don’t have those little lines if you click on them. Just random walking and maybe after 30 minutes of aimless walking you’ll get some banter if you’re lucky, one line comment about the location if you’re not.

I’m holding out hope that when I see my Hawke appear in game I might have some alleviation from this suffering. I was so happy to see Varric but he’s just… there. I feel like right now we could swap him out for some random dwarf and it wouldn’t make a difference beyond two cut scenes so far.

I hope it gets better but right now what doesn’t frustrate me just bores me. The more I play the more I just wanna be playing DA2 instead. Or Skyrim, because they did the open world concept so much better.

I also miss pretty much every conversation was a mini cutscene, even idle banter.

Hooo boy they start out with. entirely clashing goals lmao. That they start out rocky would be an understatement, but even though it starts as antogonistic does evolve into productive arguments later! It's actually the basis of them bonding, too, cos it forces them both to examine themselves and deal with their issues For Real hflsjfld. By the time Trespasser takes place they're much more on the same wavelength; sure their ideas still don't line up everywhere, but they've both got a better understanding of each others mindsets and ideals, and manage to align their goals in ways that works for both of them. So e.g. June supports Cullen's project of setting up rehabs for ex-Templars, with part of her research going into things like how to effectively counter the consequences of lyrium addiction, and on the other side Cullen helps as best he can with her efforts to make education on magic more accessible

26. How important is the romance in your OC’s overall story? 

Well it's not romance lol, but actually i'd say it's fairly important to her development later on (their whole deal is anyway, but this is abt the qpr part of it specifically). Like.. it's a flavour of relationship she has not had before, and it helps her a lot in figuring out things she wants and needs, but also helps her get better at People and Relationships in general, and honestly just makes her better at dealing with Basic Life Management Things in general lol cos she hasn't had access this sort of mundane "normie" domestic life before
