a GROWING UP headcanon

Tashigi didn't have any friends growing up. Either because her father was and still is an intimidating man and scared any potential friends for his daughter or that they didn't like Tashigi either for her appearance or her personality. Those two had affected Tashigi's platonic relationships throughout her childhood until she turned 21.

Personally, since they were somewhat cordial in the sword shop that Tashigi might had considered Zoro to be her first friend since his hobbies lined up with her own. It's not until the fight in the alley where she finds out that Zoro was just playing along, somewhat making fun of her obliviousness to who he actually was. Clearly hurt, the almost friendship had broke already and it wasn't because of their professions.

It hurts me to think that her attempt to finally have a friend ended in failure, just like with everything else. But some other type of relationship, either rival or romantic was still there, so that counted for something. Tashigi gained another goal to hunt him around the globe and Zoro gained something that he couldn't and wouldn't cut down.

In all, her friendships that she choose to pursue during R/Loguetown and beyond are complicated to say the least.

Wow. This was super random. But I finally figured out how to answer this. With her profession being a marine captain and her having a tirelessly work ethic, I don’t really see it happening anytime soon but she isn’t totally against having kids. Probably would teach them about swords and how to fight when they are old enough to anyways. And we can tell that she’s great with other people’s kids that are in trouble as seen in Punk Hazard and is currently taking them to see Vegapunk to find a cure for the inflictions Caesar Clown did to them. But that’s a totally different situation.

I don’t know how well Tashigi would handle the responsibly of having children of her own. Keep in mind that most kids that she has the experience of meeting and interacting with are already trained to do most basic things. They are already past being a baby and their terrible twos. Having her with her own children would require more work, love, caring, nurturing and responsibly. Now if she had a person who helped take care of the children with her, I can see no real issues. Unless it would be a certain lazy swordsman who just naps the whole night and day through but even he is good with other people’s kids throughout the series so I can still see it working out in the end.

What does she mean by that? Not like Tashigi is going to spill what happened. Anyways, this should be enough right? And technically these weren't about Zoro himself so the marine dodged a bullet on that too.

Okay, they were compliments but probably would fly under anyone's heads unless they knew what to look for. Tashigi gives Zoro a week to figure it out.

"Pretty sure it's akin to annoyance". Then again, how was Tashigi supposed to know what qualified to feelings at the other at this moment. Roronoa wasn't one to talk about things in this type of manner. Something must be bothering him and like normal, the marine didn't have a clue in what Zoro meant by anything lately.

Wanting to settle down after becoming the world's greatest swordsman and other strange behavior. Tashigi wondered what happened to the man she had met in Loguetown. Either that or this person was, did she dare say it, a copycat or clone? Okay, she shouldn't be thinking that but what else could explain the way Roronoa was acting.

"I mean what else could it possibly be?". Or maybe she was just naïve when it came to things that she didn't quite understand. Which wasn't her fault. Nope not at all.

Her face was bright red at the implications. Tashigi can't even believe in what the Straw Hat cook had just said to her like this. First of all, she isn't capable of making any type of eye contact, save for a glare. Second, she can't understand why there was common knowledge in the way she interacts with a fellow swordsman and why people needed to keep reminding her of such things.

"What the hell is wrong with you?". Is this a punishment for liking that comment about the cook's tie and the implications along with it that he chose to bring something like this up at the moment? Even Nami's statements were less crude than Sanji's right now. Tashigi, having a thing for Zoro? Ridiculous! She had an interest in his swords, not the man himself. Gazes were more towards Wado and the rest than anything else.

Of course, that could have double meaning too about the swords if someone wanted to press the issue and tease her even more. Just what was going on today? "Have you seen who I hang around with? I don't have a lot of choices now do I? .....I mean, stop making fun of me!!". Whoops, now it was somewhat in the open. Hope no one heard what she had just said and didn't have a field day with this.

I love how most of the characters in one piece rpc knows about the zotash relationship. lol. poor homegurl Tashigi is confused though. And Zoro just sleeps through the whole thing. xD

Cute concept: Zoro one day begrudgingly lets Tashigi hold Wado again and she makes like cute little 'whoosh, whoosh!' noises while waving the sword around with a big smile on her face before giving it back to him.

Was he some type of idiot wanting to be arrested? Because that was a sure possibility and real outcome coming into a place fully owned by the marines. How did Roronoa even find this little hole in the wall? The bar wasn't even remotely advertised.

She was just enjoying a small break, sipping on a Irish coffee that had her name on it when she was given uncouth remarks solely on her appearance. It's happen so many times Tashigi has lost count on those in the company who tried to get her attention through empty petty words, telling her that she was the prettiest flower in the desert of the marine's wasteland.

Honestly, she could care less. Yes, the man was persistent but nothing she couldn't handle with a well placed haki coated fist right to the jaw but before she went for the strike, up walks Roronoa like he owned the place. Not to mention cutting off her planned response to the man bothering her. Seriously, this was such an odd sight.

Like someone was.....pfft. Yeah right. All he wanted was to get some booze like always. Typical. But she's wondering why here of all places. Does he really get lost all the time or was tonight a different issue entirely. Anyways, despite the big scene and the other marines just gawking in the distance, Tashigi goes in to scold him like always.

"The way I see it, you owe me! That was the last cup of Irish coffee we had here and now it's down on the table wasted Roronoa". RIP her cup from the intense slap of a hand going against the table previously. She ushers him outside and gives him a IOU piece of paper regardless. "They are still stunned from whatever that was, just get going before anyone catches you, me included".

Hmmm. That's really complicated. As I don't write Zoro, I wouldn't really know since there could be a few possibilities.

For one, he could just not simply care about it and go on with his business. Unless the other person had intended to harm Tashigi in any way.

Or he could pretend to not be upset but his actions clearly show the opposite. His attitude towards the other would be kind of threating to be honest. Poor Tashigi is none the wiser about the exchange.

But it's also possible for him to go and ask the other person what was wrong with them, asking what they saw in this so called sword nerd. Or joke to the other that 'careful she bites' or says that the woman is a handful.

In all, it's quite complicated to say the least. If you want to ask more, maybe inquire this to a few Zoro blogs. Personally though, I can see either option 2 or 3 happening myself.
