“How often have you actually subbed?” Tim asks, sitting down on the mattress next to them and sliding a hand down the back of Kon’s neck. 

“Dunno,” Kon replies, half-shrugging as he bites the inside of his lip over the way Tim’s hand feels on his neck right now. It wasn’t like he ever counted. “A few times, I guess? Not a lot.” 

He might’ve made that answer vaguer, if it weren’t Tim asking. It’s pretty vague as it is, though, he guesses. He really didn’t count, though. Like, there were a few times with Cassie, and that time with Greta might kinda count, and definitely the times with Anita count, and, well–Lophi, the once, but . . .

Maybe a couple of the times with Tana should kinda count too, and probably also Knockout, but that wasn’t really, like . . . like, he didn’t even know what a safeword was back then, much less anything about hard no’s or . . .

“Have you felt like you did this time before?” Tim asks. Kon shrugs again, not quite ducking his face against Bernard’s chest. 

“Dunno,” he repeats. “I guess. Didn’t know there was, like, a name for it, though.” 

“Oh, so you’re not even really educated about D/s and you’re like this,” Bernard says. “Jesus, I’m terrified by the idea of what you’d be like if you’d done a few tours in the sex clubs or whatever.” 

Kon–frowns, briefly, and ducks his face after all. 

“I'm not into those,” he says. “I mean–not for, you know. This stuff. Getting laid in general, sure, but not . . .”

being in a cult is insane. you can know deep down that something is fundamentally Wrong with a situation, but unsure of what it is because you trust the leader so much that it hurts. Like, yes, i know somewhere objectively that a teacher screaming at a student in a room is wrong, and giving him my social media passwords is wrong, and him trying to touch me is wrong. but he would never be wrong, so of course they're right.

Story:

She loved her mate, an older warrior. He told her he loved her. He was the only one to treat her like an adult.

He was helpful...for the most part. When their little son came, he encouraged her to handle it herself. 

He only wanted her to learn. That’s why he was gone for so long.

It was okay, though. 

She could take care of her son.

But she had only recently become a warrior, and she had no idea what to do.

How was she to know a kit would freeze to death when you leave them alone a night or two?

Or that her loving mate never wanted to speak to her again?

Additional Information:

--Guilt of her kit’s death caused her to starve herself. It wasn’t entirely intentional, she was just too miserable to bother eating.

I can’t find your WIP Wednesday post so I have no idea what’s in it, but there must be one because other people are asking, so I’m going to take a wild guess and ask for Kon wants scented. If that’s not on the list please feel free to sub in something that is!

And Superboy doesn’t–he’s not–he’s not a pup, so he doesn’t act like one. Doesn’t go looking for the kind of attention a pup would get, or any attention he hasn’t earned. Like–if he saves somebody or flirts somebody up or makes somebody feel good . . . that’s stuff he earned. Not–not something he just–just gets greedy about.

if you think about it lawlight is the perfect case study for proship debates because on one hand you have a character who is on the wrong side of a relatively large age gap and power imbalance, and on the other hand you have a character who really really wants to murder the first guy

I'm not sure if I believe the "Wakaba Isshiki did unethical experiments" theory in the fandom, but I do think this is the biggest proof of it in-game:

The first explanation is that she did experiments by sending people into palaces and then testing what happens to them if the palace collapses. Which is messed up for obvious reasons.

The second explanation is that she did NOT test it, meaning she was just making shit up. Which is funny but also would make her a terrible scientist. This explanation is less believable because everything else about her research is too accurate.

There's also a theory that Wakaba did unethical experiments on Akechi specifically. I'm not sure I believe that, since the evidence for it is pretty shallow (like the featherman game scientist experimenting on grey pigeon). But this scene is once again the biggest argument you could make for that theory. The researcher in the image above refers to palaces by their correct term 'palaces', which they say was based on Wakaba's research. But that's only something you would know with firsthand experience of the metaverse. And the only person they know who could access the metaverse was Akechi (that we know of, but i dont think Shido would rely only on Akechi if there were other options).

So yeah this scene is very sus. It's most likely the writers didn't think too deep about the implications. There's no way they wanted Futaba's mom to be sketchy, right? But even if it's not intentional, the scenes and their implications still exist. So in conclusion those theories make sense, I get it, and I don't blame anyone for headcanoning them and having fun. And tbh anyone involved with cognitive psience was portrayed as some degree of unethical (maruki for example), maybe this is just on-brand

Please don't assume you're an "exception to grooming" or an "exception to being manipulated and sexualized by older friends." From someone who was convinced they were that exception one time before. That I was special or mature.
