An underrated bit in good omens season 2 is Crowley being absolutely betrayed and affronted that Jane Austen, a famous author, has written novels

"God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e. everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won’t tell you the rules...

Even this early on I’ve already seen some takes that the ending to Good Omens 2 was “homophobic” and all I have to say is that if queer relationships are only good representation when they’re fluffy, have a level of conflict no greater than a romantic comedy and a neat little happy ending then I straight up don’t want “good queer representation”

I need Aziraphale to grab Crowley by the lapels of his jacket and pin him for the Second Kiss™. Or for it to be under the rain. Or, you know, both those things.

Listen I thought I had brain fungus before when it comes to these two, but after watching the trailer- specifically and especially the whole “Being Near to This Person makes Things Better” bit? Literally going to be all I can think about until the season drops

I can only assume that Crowley and his angel were the talk of demon hellfire cooler conversations for centuries.
"Did you here about Crowley and the-" *faux retching noise*
"-Of course... gross. I bet they even hold hands." Meanwhile, half of Hell is pining for some angel or another.

Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death
Metatron offers Aziraphale the coffee (promotion in heaven) and he takes it. That seems to suggest the alternative (staying on earth with Crowley) would be death.
Metatron calls choosing the coffee over death “predictable”. I assumed this to be a statement about human nature preferring the comfortable option. For Aziraphale, taking the coffee (going back to heaven and resuming old habits) would be the easy option. Choosing to stay with Crowley and face love and death and mortality is harder because it requires him confronting the finite nature of the world that heaven has inflicted. In the opening scene Crowley is distraught to learn he will never see his stars grow up because of heaven. Then in the final scene Aziraphale (evoking heaven’s ideology) crushingly reminds Crowley that nothing lasts forever and breaks his heart (as shown below):

Basically, there’s something thematically up with the name of the coffee shop. I don’t know if the title of the shop is foreshadowing the literal threat of death to our ineffable duo in the next season or just their conceptual relationship with earth, love and mortality, but the show is going out of its way to highlight it. Coffee is heaven and Death is love.

i’m letting myself go full delulu and am convinced the kiss is going to be lowkey genuine like aziraphale is going to convince crowley to get them to set up a situation to get the lesbians together but then they’re going to end up like dancing or whatever and looking into each others eyes and falling for their own trap and i’ve got at least a couple more weeks to live my lie
